You take some retaliatory hits, but nothing exceptionally deep but enough to cause you worry as he gains a solid footing on the ground.

"I imagine you are the one who has been going around killing the hollows? I guess I should thank you for my promotion. Still, that ends here. No wayward soul shall be devoured whole by you again." he explains lunging, but a quick jump to the side allows you to catch his leg and shred the tendons as he passes.

"Damn it. Fine. Magnify, Namazu!" He commands and his sword shifts to a small hammer. You look amuse at the attempt before remembering the giant horn that cost you your life last time. You leap in the air as he strikes the ground, taking a blow form a stone spear which would have skewered you had you been standing there.

You land across the street from him and he seems ready to strike.

You decide your body is that of a jungle predator, but not for like, little kids with the singing and dancing and learning about white man's fire. Cuz that show was racist. You conclude as you slash his eye open with your claws, the electricity and poison likely doing havoc with his vision. He points his palm at you and fires another energy blast, you momentarily forgetting about it as you roll in midair out of the way and take the blast to your flank. You momentarily curse not having some way to stop that from happening as you see the shinigami try to run.

You lunge forward, taking a spear of stone to your stomach and a plast of energy to your face but you manage to pounce the shinigami. You start digging your claws into him, and don;t stop even when the gurgles stop being funny. It is somehow partially his fault Negi died.

Hey OP, I just read the previous thread.

While I am not happy about it, I think it is a good thing you did not back down and punished the players for bad suggestion. Too often do the players on /tg/ lose their heads and go "OMG SO AWESOME" route without thinking shit through.
That said, I thought Reginald was probably best NPC side-character in any quest I've ever see. I will miss him dearly.
