Not wanting to let a job left undone, you poured more power into your construct.
As your own majaik was transferred from you into Kraus, into the ring, and into that copy of Nanoha, the other girls begin to fade.
"No! Come back!" you scream as you look around at the other girls, allowing Nanoha, still quite solid to continue her work.
"You are mine and you will stay with me!"
Slowly, as you continued to strain your majaik reserves, the girls begin to become a little bit more solid.

The false Nanoha, now finishes up the last letter of your name.
The third horizontal line of the E carved into the ground in a huge gash 5 meters wide and 30 meters long.

As you looked at your handywork from afar, you can't help but grin like kid with a new toy.

It was at that moment, with the last of your majaik used up for this pointless exercise of avarice, that you blacked out.

A wee lad not yet even starting school.

This 'alone time', while toroughly unhealthy from someone else' point of view, was wonderful.

The puppy, while clean, looked hungry.
It was a stray. It was alone.

It walked up to you whimpering, nudged at your leg, asking for something to eat.
Not really having anything on hand, you got up and took it inside with you, making sure to hide your 'toys' in the dried hydrangea bushes first.
In the dark house, you rummaged around the almost empty cupboards, unable to find anything more substantial than alcohol and dried squid.
With no other choice, you had to share your 'lunch' with the small dog.

Lunch. That was what your mom called it whenever she left it for you to go out.
It was as always, a bag of breadcrusts, the ones that were typically given away at bakeries after closing time.
You didnt know this of course, and have had always assumed your mom 'cooked them with love'.
Opening the bag, you began to dole out a healthy serving of bread to the friendly puppy.

That's how you got your first pet.
Armageddon you called him, after the name on the bag of bread.

Your daily 'alone time' wasn't spent alone anymore.
