LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25070995/
My Twitter Account, look at it for updates, Quest times and delays: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your name is Scarlet Crocker, the 18 year old daughter of Jake Crocker. Today is your best friend Asemu Enneacle’s birthday and you’ve just lead him to the planed surprise Birthday Party you and your Brother Dirk cooked up. Chips, Cake, Drinks, some booze from the liquor cabinet and a few of Asemu’s friends, Romary, the Nerds from the MS Club you and your brother run and the maybe-albino Zeheart who is currently supporting the wall and hitting the booze already.

What did you get Asemu for a present? Well your brother repaired a Prototype RGE-G1100 Adele he could in the nearby Forest Preserve aboard the colony and you had him make a badass electro-whip for it since it wasn’t left with any weapons. The reaction on Asemu’s face is absolutely priceless. You’d have sweared someone had come down and knocked the wind out of him. At first he didn’t believe it was for him, you had to keep repeating that it was his present, over and over again.

Asemu’s still pretty damn excited; he seems more interested about the MS then the party. What do you want to do Scarlet? Try to get him to actually talk with his friends a bit, let him hop into his mobile suit or something else?

What do you plan to do Scarlet?
>>
Let him hop in for a bit. He won't be able to function properly if we don't let him.
>>
>>25094573
"Hey, get up in the cockpit, I want to take a picture."
>>
Make sure he knows how to drive it first. Don't want him wrecking it so soon.
>>
>>25094573
Let him hop in for a bit. We can make him socialize in a few minutes. Just don't let him camp out in there.
>>
>>25094660

seconding this. If he puts up resistance, we drag his ass out and throw him into Dirk...

Idea for Flit's daughter:
Energetic, optimistic, nice and constantly curious. Smart but very naive, to the point of not realizing her brother's often cruel jokes at other's expense.
When she does realize it, however, she's the first one to apologize, often with some small gift or gesture. Got her optimism and idealism from her mother.
Very nice and friendly, and a bit odd - if something makes her curious, you can bet she won't rest until she finds it out, even if it means following or jumping at you.
Very easily excited, energetic and idealistic.

How does this sound?
>>
>>25094998
(Seems fine to me, especially considering Yurin. What do you guys think?)

>>25094660
>>25094616
You decide to let Asemu hop into the cockpit and take a look. After all, the birthday boy should get to play with his present before being forced back to the party.

>>25094633
"Hey Asemu, mind if I take a picture?" You say, popping out your G-Phone and putting it into Camera mode.

"Sure!" He says with a grin, striking a dynamic pose in the cockpit as you make your way up and snap a few pictures. Asemu and Dirk hang around in the cockpit for about 20 minutes, talking and having nerdgasms over the suit before coming down and joining the party. It's a small party, but everyone's having fun. Even Zeheart appears to be enjoying things, hitting things up with Romary, again. He seems to be enjoying the cake too. Zeheart doesn't appear to be a big eater, but he has an obvious appreciation for food.

Things are seeming pretty good until the fence gate is kicked open and a voice calls out. "Hey Faggots, I see you didn't invite us." And soon the blue haired Akito comes into view, followed by a bouncing, very excited Yurika, her shoulder length purple hair bouncing with her as she follows Akito in holding a present.

"Oh god not them..." You mutter.

What's the plan Scarlet? These guys might bum Asemu out, at least Akito will. Yurika's a sweet kid but thicker then a brick when it comes to her brother being an asshole.
>>
>>25095201
Send Yurika to bother Dirk. Watch him lose his shit because of her.
You have a small talk with that insecure dick. He can be nice, but God damn, can he hold a grudge.
>>
>>25095201
Keep that asshole busy. Challenge after challenge until he can't work up the energy to be a dick.

As to the sister that appears fine. Maybe cut the curious bit though.
>>
>>25095201

it shall be dealt with with GREAT CHARISMA!!!

"Salutations and Greetings Lady Yurika, and also to you, Young Squire Akito. I am wounded to hear that the invite sent to thee was mislaid in the colonial postal system. Might I make amends by offering you the chance to best me in the Ring of Combat!"
>>
>>25095319
>"Salutations and Greetings Lady Yurika, and also to you, Young Squire Akito. I am wounded to hear that the invite sent to thee was mislaid in the colonial postal system. Might I make amends by offering you the chance to best me in the Ring of Combat!"

"How about you shut your gob and let me eat some cake?" Akito says with a sigh, causing Yurika to frown and slap him on the back of the head.

"Ow!"

"Be nice, she's trying to make up for her mistake. I'll give Asemu his present and you let Scarlet do her thing!" Yurika wanders off with a large box, stopping over by Zeheart and Asemu.

Akito sighs and rolls his eyes. "Alright, alright I'll bite. What is this 'Ring of Combat?"

Well Scarlet?
>>
>>25095319
We could always count insult him.
>>
>>25095659
Do we have Dance Dance Revolution but with Mobile Suits?
>>
>>25095659
We tie our legs together and the last one standing wins.
>>
>>25095659
MS simulator should be the most practical "Ring of Combat".
>>
>>25095659
Time to hit the sims. Akito could use an ego deflation, and Scarlet's the one to do the poking.
>>
>>25095900
>>25095795
"The MS Simulator Squire Akito! I, the Scarlet Crusader shall put an end to your unchivalrous behavior. If I beat you then you will not speak a word during this party until spoken too!"

"And if I win?" Akito asks, raising an eyebrow.

"That won't happen, but if you do I will remain silent for the remainder of the day regardless of what you say"

"Deal" Akito cracks his knuckles and you crack a smile. Oh your going to enjoy this very, very, very much. You lead him away from the party and into the garage where four proper MS simulators sit. You both choose two and sit down inside.

"I'm up for any challenge you through at me. I'm going to use the AGE-1 and probably a wear depending on the fight and the terrain. Maybe I might handicap myself to give you a chance..." Akito mocks cockily, making you all the more eager to curbstomp him.

You have a large variety of suits to choose from and you can choose any kind of terrain and match, deathmatch, capture the flag, you name it.

So, how will you kick Akito's ass Scarlet?
>>
>>25096180
Ambat station, the reactor blowing up. Family classic.
Use the Crusader Chimera.

How about something simple, like a 2 on 2 match outside a space colony. Scarlet will use the J-Exes.
Before we start, though, tell Akito to get rid of those retarded-looking glasses.
>>
>>25095900
Yeah, chances are if there is anyone who would be able to handle the ego that Akito holds, it would be Scarlet. Ego must defeat ego!
>>
>>25096180
Does Scarlet have her personal MS programmed into the sim? If that's unavailable, then use the Crusader Chimera for a 1-on-1 deathmatch in a Graveyard/ Shoal zone.
>>
>>25096517
Sounds good. If the bugger is still rowdy, I say a team match of Akito and his sister versus Dirk and Asemu. That way, Dirk can provide aid and support, allowing Asemu to be the star for his birthday. Can't one up the birthday boy after all.
>>
>>25096608
Somehow I doubt Akito has been as...enthusiastic about MS simulators as Scarlet, nor has he learned from underhanded sneaky bastards like Jake and Jack. A Shoal Zone/Graveyard is not a place to be egotistical in.
>>
Idea for Akito:
Snapped under the pressure to be worthy of the name Asuno.
He thinks he needs to be strong for the sake of his family due to his father being constantly away - unfortunately, he thought the best way to be tough is to be a dick. Ambitious and determined to the extreme, Akito hates losing with all his being, and can hold a nasty grudge against those who surpass him in anything, mostly because he sees it as a personal failure. Main reason why he doesn't like Asemu.Deeply insecure because he's desperate for Flit's attention. Around Yurin and when feeling he's around friends, he drops the facade and turns into a tired kid who feels he wasted his years being bitter and douchey. Can be a cool and friendly kid, he's just forgotten how.

How does this sound?
>>
>>25096665
Oh no doubt, but the guy doesn't seem like the sort to back down after being beaten once. Hell, even if Scarlet beats him, he'd likely still be a jerk to Asemu since he himself did jack. Not only that, but if it's Scarlet playing with Asemu, then Akito would likely consider Scarlet the reason he won.. which would defeat the point. Dirk however? He's the support type and i not as skilled as Scarlet and while Asemu lost to Scarlet, it was close. Asemu and Dirk beat the twin terrors, Asemu takes the spot light, and we give the bully a taste of his own medicine.
>>
>>25096767
I would honestly say most of his ego comes from who exactly his father is. He's the son of a famous hero and admiral, one of the best pilots of his time, and likely has a much bigger rep than Jake. Likewise, that puts pressure on him. He may be a great X-rounder, but he's a kid in his dad's shadow. Gotta PROVE he's great and awesome and worthy.. which can lead to bullying others. Likewise, I see him and his sister treated very well by their parents, but sometimes, you need to give the child a smack to remove the arrogance.
>>
>>25096916
Well yeah, that's what I was going for. He'll always be Flit's son, not Akito Asuno.
So most of his ego is from that - he's proud of his dad and whose son he is, but at the same time, he's douchey because he's an insecure kid who tries to prove himself constantly.
Flit and Yurin love him, but Flit is constantly away, and whenever he comes back, he brings stories of his successes, putting even more pressure on him.

>>25096608
You don't want to disrupt Asemu's party. Just being around Akito pisses off Asemu and the last thing you want to do is piss off the birthday boy.

>>25096517

Sadly your suit and Dirks aren't quite finished yet, so the data for them hasn't been uploaded to the MS simulators. You hope to get it done within the next week or two, but with school wrapping up and Asemu's birthday, you just want to relax and kick Akito's ass.

You select the Graveyard level and choose the AGE-X Crusader Chimera in one on one Death Match mode.

"Yawn, predictable." Akito says, choosing the AGE-1R Gundam Razor.

You start the match before Akito can make any more snide comments. Your suit appears in the misty, wreckage strewn Graveyard. The spawn points are random and so is the entire map. Akito could be above you, right behind you or anywhere else, but due to the mist and the shitty sensor range, you and Akito have no way of knowing where each other are.

So Scarlet, what's your plan?
>>
>>25097036
Pop up above the area and see where he is then set traps on the most likely path he will follow. Once he's occupied open fire.
>>
>>25097036

Using our higher mobility, we make a series of Hit-and-Runs against the AGE-1R, employing similar tactics to those used by the Black Raven during her fight against Dad...
>>
>>25097036
Use your mobility and leave an obvious trail behind you. When he starts following you, make sharp turns and throw him into some debris and traps.
On a side note, I don't think Scarlet is much of a thinker doing combat - she pilots solely on intuition and wits.
>>
>>25097126
She's not adverse to using guerrilla tactics when the situation calls for it.
>>
>>25097036
First, keep moving, don't let him get a bead on us. Leave traps behind us at places people will go if following an efficient root, goo bombs attached to walls that are followed up by a pile of explosives pelting the area, razorwire between wreckage piles, things like that. Follow in the legacy of our Grandfather the Jack of Pumpkins, a fair fight without tricks isn't worth having.

The Razor is meant for melee, it can do that boomerang bullshit, but that's not that much to worry about.

Once we spot him we keep him at range, hit and run, ducking behind debris and cover and disappearing, don't give him a straight melee fight.
>>
>>25097036
Keep moving. The area plays more to the Chimera's strengths than the Razor. Cause a disturbance in the field to attact Akito's attention. When spotted, engage at medium range, taking advantage of the Chimera's higher mobility and the Razor's lack of ranged weapons. That boomerang won't be much use in a cluttered field like the Graveyard. Maybe blast a few rocks near Akito to throw him off-balance.
>>
>>25097226
Addition to my post here, have the EM Ballista ready for use, it ought to be effective against the Razor and we can use esoteric rounds to great advantage.

Hit areas near him with explosive bolts to shower him in wreckage shrapnel, shoot through things with AP bolts, hit him with net bolts and goo bolts. We probably have bolts with wire attached to the back of them by now, we can use those to hit through a body part and swing him around, wrap him up, or have the other end attached to a different bolt and shoot that one into a wall.

EMP bolts would also mess with finicky electronics.

Dirty tricks bitches.
>>
>>25097347
Seconded. We're a Crocker, we fight smart and dirty.
>>
>>25097336
>>25097347
The current armaments of the 'updated' Crusader Chimera are as follows
Fixed:
DODS Beam Vulcan & Beam Saber emitter x2 *mounted on forearms*

DODS Shotgun x1 *chest mounted*

Tailgun: Loadable with any handheld weapon, currently loaded with the EM Ballista MK.II with a revolving ammo clip for an extended and more selective ammo supply.

Grenade Dispenser: The Crusader Chimera gear has 5 goo grenades, 5 smokechaff grenades, 5 proximity grenades, and 5 electro-net grenades.

You fly to a nearby ship wreck and set up some quick booby traps before firing off your DODS Shotgun and beam vulcans wildy around, making a ruckus in the hopes of Akito showing up.

He quickly does, trying to target your vital points as he flies in armed with a Multi-Mod DODS Rifle. You have to dodge several shots before getting a chance to return fire, firing off explosive bolts knock him around with debris before firing a few EM bolts to damage his internal systems.

The first part works, but Akito reacts quickly to the EM bolts, cutting them down with the Razor's large arm mounted blades, based off the Spallows "Shigiru Blade". Your bolts splinter and fail to penetrate the AGE-1R's armor in their destroyed state.

Akito rushes forward, the Razor's speed far exceeding the Chimera Wears...

What the Hell? Cutting down EM Bolts? What the hell is Akito on that he can even see the bolts, let alone cut down railgun fire? Those shots should be moving faster than the eye can see. Railgun shots shouldn't give off any kind of emission in space, either.
>>
>>25098320
X-Rounder, remember? Precognition is a bitch to deal with in an enemy.
>>
>>25098361
That's why we need Scarlet to turn into a Super Pilot who fights with her instincts, so X-Rounders can't get a read on her.
>>
>>25098361
Precognition shouldn't be much help at close to medium range against a weapon moving faster than a suit can react to. Getting out of the line of fire before Scarlet pulls the trigger is one thing, intercepting a 120mm high-velocity round with the edge of a blade is another thing entirely. I'm guessing on railgun caliber, but it's likely in that area.
>>
>>25098539
Fair enough. Perhaps the abstraction required by the simulator means that his suit doesn't have the physical limitations on response time that it should? I mean, these are game systems and not actual training sims. Some inaccuracy compared to reality is a given. Could be funny to see how Akito does in a real suit, not being able to move it fast enough to meet his reflexes.

Using your superior maneuverability you bolt to the side, firing off a Net-Bolt which entangles the AGE-1 Razor. It speeds on like a charging matador and collides head on with the ship you booby trapped. Even after cutting free of the net, Akito failed to decelerate fast enough to stop himself from crashing, the resulting exploding heavily damages the Razor, compromising several places.

Akito recovers and fires his DOD Rifle at you, this time aiming for your thrusters and Ballista.

"Cheap shots? I know your game now. Not going to fall for a trick like that again" Akito muses, darting around, using the debris as cover.

He's damaged and can't take another shot, but this time he seems to be taking things more serious.

What will you do Scarlet?
>>
>>25099124
Charge in, all guns blazing. His mobility is probably bust, so he's more likely to try to cut through whatever we fire at him.
Fire some goo bolts at him. If he decides to cut through them, he'll get a nasty surprise.

Fire upon the debris and get him to come out of cover. When he does, take out the rest of his thrusters and then move to short range for the kill.
>>
>>25099124
Hmm, how about blowing another asteroid around Akito? If his armor's already compromised, rock fragments could do some nasty stuff to him. Detonating an EMP bolt near him could work too. Akito's thrusters are likely damaged, as well. Akito would have had to put his back towards the ship he stuck to decelerate. Shrapnel into one of the engines could reduce his mobility even more. Scarlet's a Crocker. Fighting 'fair' is a curse-word to her. Maybe knock some debris or asteroids his way?

>>25098632
I can see where you're coming from there. I just hope Akito's confidence in his skill doesn't get him killed on a real battlefield.
>>
>>25099124
when he ducks behind cover fire a goo grenade to the left and an explosive bolt to the right, timing it to try and get him caught up in goo when he dodges the blast.
>>
>>25099124
"No such thing as a cheap shot Buttface, no such thing, part of the Crocker family motto."

Keep our distance, shoot a few AP bolts through the cover he's behind, and have grenades thrown to either side of the cover he's behind, chip damage is awesome.

Perhaps grab a piece of debris and accelerate it towards his cover with a pile of explosives attached to the back so when it slams into it and breaks through we explode it and watch the pretty fireworks.

After we pull something like this if he's not down he'll probably charge us, aim for a last ditch thing, in that case we fire a net to restrict the avenues of attack he has and blast him with the chest shotgun and a spray from all the vulcans and so on.
>>
>>25099344
Bad idea. The Razor is built for melee. Better to take advantage of his weakened armor to spray him down with the DODS vulcans.
>>
>>25099431

start throwing debris at him, then hide behind one heading past him then strike him from behind once the debris passes him.
>>
>>25099501
That involves getting a bit closer to the Gundam which has swords on every limb of his, unless it's passing at a fair distance and we then blast him with all of the ranged stuff we have.

Even as he is now he can probably go full choppy on our remarkably toned behind if we give him half a chance.
>>
>>25099124
Keep him pinned with a barrage. He may be an x-rounder, but against a large variety of attacks with various trajectories, variations and range, he'd probably be unable to keep up. Give him bullet-hell!

X-Rounders may have precognition, but they can’t dodge what they can’t react too. You unload everything you have at Akito. DODS Beam Vulcan blasts, DODS Shotgun shots and blasting off with explosive bolts, demolishing the rocks and cover around the Gundam Razor. You watch as Akito flies upwards, trying to outrun your attacks as he pushes the Razor to the limit in terms of its speed, flying up out of the shelter of the debris and flying over upwards. Sadly you underestimate just how fast it is as it manages to fly itself overtop of you, your wave of firepower trailing just behind it, long enough for Akito to pop off the Razor's Razorblades and fling them down at you.

The Razorblades thrusters fire and they soar down at you, targeted at your limbs...

(God damn it. Now I wish you guys got Scarlets limbs chopped off. I wanted to pull a Black Knight).

You dodge the Razorangs, flying back a few inches before re-orienting yourself and firing again. This time your attacks get Akito, tearing the AGE-1 Razor to pieces and slamming it into an asteroid.

Akito opens the simulation pod, giving you a narrow glare. "You got lucky. This is just a video game, remember that. I've been in a real battle before and I prefer those over these..."

You can tell he's made and trying to cover for his loss against you.

What will you do Scarlet?
A: Rub it in, asshole needs to be reminded how being the victim feels, show him what it's like for Asemu.

Your sister would never let me hear the end of it if you get hurt because you tried to show me up."

and with a flurish we depart, and return to the festivities.
>>
>>25100693
D: Other. Calmly and bluntly explain what happened.

"Two things Akito, first you lost, you don't get to make excuses about that, there's no 'I wasn't ready', 'you didn't fight fair', 'you got lucky', or 'I prefer real battles' in an actual fight, nor should it be allowed in practice bouts. Your MS was destroyed, I got a few scratches.

There's victory and defeat and you lost, don't try to make excuses, it's sad. Learn from this and improve instead of telling yourself that you only lost because of circumstance. Accept your loss like a man.

You flew straight at me and I took advantage of that, you're lucky it wasn't Dirk or Dad in the pilot seat and only got a few dirty tricks thrown at you.

Second, we had a deal in place. So zip it."
>>

I do like the trend that's being established of Scarlet talking in faux-Arthurian speeches. I like to think that Jake got her to start doing it as a confidence building exercise when she was young, resulting in her current hotblooded nature. Though it now has the side effect of being a major tell that she's either aggravated with the person she's talking to or trying to do something she's not entirely certain of. Akito has never noticed, though, as she's ALWAYS aggravated with him, and as such he just thinks she's really weird.

No sure, smells like bullshit to you personally but...Akito doesn't tend to lie. Exaggerate, sure. Lie? Not often.

>"A Worthy Opponent Indeed! Though Doeth Thouest Remember The Agreement? Verily So. Might Thine Days Be Blessed And Thy Nights Gentle. Fare Thee Well Young Squire!"
and with a flurish we depart, and return to the festivities

Akito begins to support the wall and hit the booze while everyone else has fun. You go over to check on Asemu and find him playing with Haro, still sporting a gift ribbon.

"Happy Birthday Asemu" Yurika says with a smile.

"Your giving Haro away?" You ask, somewhat concerned.

"Yeah, is that a problem? MID seems to miss him and Me and Akito never play with him, so why not?"

What do you think of this Scarlet? What do you want to do now? Anything you'd like to try or do to make this a more memorable occasion?

"Wow, Yurika, that's really nice of you. But, um, how does Haro feel about this? Isn't he pretty attached to your family?"

And then we bring MID out to play with Haro. Because no matter what Yurika says, MID should get to enjoy the opportunity to play with his brother.
>>

Worrying thought: MID has shown the ability to detect if someone is an Asuno, even after three generations of descent from his last reference point. What does he think about Asemu?
>>
>>25101420
Remind me again why is that a big deal?

To make this more memorable take a group photo on the Gundam's hands.
>>
>>25101420
Bring MID out to play some, sadly Ma G is off with Dad most likely so the entire gang can't be here.

To make it memorable we need to have the Prototype MS strike a pose with us standing on various parts of it.

Haro is a semi-sentient AI. Not at Ma G's level, but he's capable of emotions and reasoning. Giving him away is somewhere between giving away a family pet and giving away your little brother.

Man Flit's kids are jerks. Then again they are aware that they can't take care of him, so maybe all is not lost.

Just wanted to note, newtypes have done some crazy shit. I'm very willing to bet that he'd be able to cut down EM Bolts in a real battle with something like the Spallow. And his MS will probably be designed to take advantage of his abilities to it's utmost maximum.
>>
>>25102288
With the Spallow, maybe. The Razor is described as being hard to control even with X-Rounder abilities. But yeah, give him a suit designed to keep up with precognition and extrasensory perception (like Zeheart has) and he could probably do it.

Flit's kids are kids who lived in a almost ideal setting. Loving parents, high position, ect. They are spoiled rotten and likely use to getting what they want, though their dad is busy as heck and their mom is sweet enough to give diabetes. Jake was much more hands on than Flit more likely than not and his nature would be the sort to stamp down on behavior that was dickish. They just need to grow a bit, that's all.

Does AGE have an equivalent to a 'Bright Slap'? Cause that is known to fix all emotional misgivings in adolescent teenage soldiers...
>>
>>25102455
Yes. You slap their ass instead.
>>
>>25102455
Nope. The closest thing is having sex with a dying martian girl.
And that just turns you into Kio.
>>
>>25102455
I'm not sure, but it might be worth a shot for Scarlet to slap him and for Dirk to make a list of reasons why he's such a douchebag.
>>
>>25102455
(OK guys I feel absolutely beat. I'm going to archive and call it a night. Sorry for ending it so early, but I'm fall asleep at my computer. We will pick up at 3:00 tomorrow)
>>
>>25102455
Its the 'Jake Crocker Bitch Slap'. He's awesome enough to use his own version of the Bright Slap by now. Unfortunately, canon AGE has no Bright Noa. The whole universe is poorer for that.
>>
>>25102512
See ya tomorrow, Crosswire.
>>
>>25102512
No problem, man. Go get some sleep. See you tomorrow.
