>Behind you, Einstein hovered. You could check his data at any time, you knew: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

Your name is Heather Leery, and you're tired, having gone to sleep almost twenty two hours ago, and spent quite some time practicing photokinesis. As it was, you could very slightly bend light, and with a little bit of focus and effort, create small beams of light.

And, of course, there was the most important and relevant thing to you right now. Alex's parents were awake and alive.
You looked down at Alex's message again.
<... My parents are awake.>

"Well." Manus said- he had the same message on his tablet. "This is going to be interesting."
He limped to his feet. "Though it's almost dinner time. Do you want to come with me while I go greet them? I'm sure that some of the information they have might be relevant to you."
>>
>>25053348
"What kind of question is that? Of course I'm coming."
Also let's practise bending all the wavelengths while going.
Start small, a degree or so.
Because everything is much more useful than simply visible
>>
>>25053348

"Yes, I'm coming along, I would offer to lessen the load on your leg but I'm very tired myself."

message to Alex: <Oh my way, Manus is too.>
>>
>>25053348
"I'm coming."
>>
>>25053348
"indeed it is. I'll come with, we did rescue them after all."

While on the way, "Hey, is there any salvage from the Demiurg ships I could grab?"
>>
>>25053348
Help Manus along with TK.
>>
"Yes, I'm coming along." You say. "We did rescue them after all."
He started limping, and you followed.
"I'd offer to lessen the load on your leg, but I'm very tired myself."

"Well, this isn't the first time I've needed to use a crutch before." He said, and swung his cane as he walked.
<Oh, by the way, I'm coming, and Manus is too.> You message Alex.
<Yeah, I know. I told him too.>
"Hey, is there any salvage from the demiurg ships I could grab?"
"No, I don't think so." Manus said. "The UPA military keeps all that sort of stuff.

You made your way to Surya's hangar, and there was Devourer, sitting in the corner- And then Alex's parents. His mom had bright blonde hair, was unnecessarily muscular, and his father was bald and weedy.
"Hello." His father- Scott, you think he was called- said. "Alex has told us in... general terms what's been going on."
His wife sighed, and took a seat on the floor.
"I'm guessing you three have questions."

the near accident on the way to the theater is also high on my list of questions
>>

>>

we should ask them how they're feeling first.
>>

"How are you feeling?"
"Is there an afterlife?"
We did promise to find out for Omni. Lambda got away with the excuse that he didn't really die but these two definitely did.
>>
>>25053578
"Eh. Just give me the rundown."
>>
"I dunno. If I woke up after being killed, I'd probably start asking questions."
"How did we die-" Alex's mom - Marle, you remembered- said.
"-And how we came back," Scott responded. "Both of which that ... fellow answered for us." He said, with a nod to Devourer. "ArmaTek figured out where we were, it seems."
"Well, we'll start with the easiest. How are you feeling?"
"I have a headache. Migraine," Marle said. "And my lungs aren't the best right now. My limbs are sore."
"Yep," Scott responded. "Pretty much."
"If it isn't too much trouble, I can sort of guess at why, but how did you end up taking Alex from ArmaTek?"
"When they started treating him like a thing instead of a person," Scott said. "I'd never been in a gunfight before that day, but I've gotten good at it, since."
"Except the time you got shot, dear. In the head. And died."
"... Except that time, yes."
"Essentially," Marle said. "Us two were the only colleagues that saw... through pariah to Alex. We knew how Davidson would react when he found out about him, so we didn't have much time to get him out of there."

Alex got to his feet, and pulled his mother into a tight hug. She giggled, and ruffled his hair.

"And is there an afterlife?"
"If there is," Scott said. "It's a lot like having your head slammed in a car door."
>>
>>25053726
"Ouch. Can I get you anything to drink or eat?"
>>
>>25053726

"the night we were going to the theater I stopped the car before it crashed, did... you do something to make me forget?"

I'm thinking it's more challenging for us because we're his antithesis. Other people have trouble but it doesn't look like they have to roll will saves to not murder him.
>>
"Speaking of that, can you tell me about the car crash? I don't really remember much."
"... That was complicated," Scott said. "We'd heard Armatek were working on developing more... psions, and then a few days later, there was that storm and that crash. Obviously telekinetic, and we got... Unnerved. I'm sorry, Heather, I wasn't thinking. I'd assumed that you were changed, or something..."
"Basically, the crash spooked us," He added.
"... Did ... you do something to make me forget?" You ask.
"What? Of course not!" Marle said. "You were just a kid, back then... We wouldn't have done anything to you."

You turn to Devourer. "Good job, Devi. You alright?"
"Tired. For the first real time." He said. "It's slightly difficult to sustain myself. Must use effort."

"Speaking of, we've managed to rescue the other kids you were talking about though."
>>
>>25053882

Devourer: "have a good rest, maybe some food?" - not people of course.

Parents: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound accusing. Would you like to eat something or maybe rest?"
>>
>>25053882
need some food? a nap? a few hours to meditate?
>>
>>25053882
"Get some rest, you deserve it. Or energy. Whichever you want."
"Well, yeah. Prometheus' proximity caused my psionic powers to grow in power due to... well, Pariahity. It was a self-defence mechanism of sorts. Likely why Ellie's so good at slipperying out of psionics."
>>
"If you need any energy, feel free to plug into Surya. You want something to eat?"
"Energy is not what I am missing." It said. "Rest is what I need. Unconsciousness."
"Yeah, get some rest. You deserve it."
"Very well." It said- and dwindled, until it was a small, brown creature. It had fur... and was almost shaped like a furry frog. It hopped up onto your shoulder, and closed his eyes, curling up.

You turn to Marle. "Alright. I just couldn't remember, and I thought you might've done some light hypnosis or something. I didn't mean to sound accusing."
"It's alright." She said, and gave you a smile.
"Speaking of, we've managed to rescue the other kids you were talking about."
"Did you?!" She asked, eyes wide. "That's splendid!"
She pulled you into the hug with Alex.
Behind all of you, Manus took a seat, simply waiting.

Manus said it was dinner time.

"So, uh, does ArmaTek have a main base somewhere that we can blow up?"
"I'm afraid there isn't, or we'd put quite a lot of explosives in there." Marle said.
"That'd be too easy." Alex added.

"Unless there's something I'm forgetting, that's basically all of my questions answered," You say. "This is Manus, one of our badass scientists here at the temporarily moved institute."
"I think I've heard of you..." Scott said. "With the military?"
"That was a lifetime ago." Manus said. "Back before my PHD. But I'm pretty much here to offer you two jobs."
"What kind of jobs?" Marle asked.
"Research. Of the psionic variety. We don't have enough people that know enough about this sort of thing, and you two might as well be experts."
"... I don't know..." Scott said.
>>
>>25054188
"It really isn't a bad deal, when you think about it. You get to be around your son, help out potentially a lot of people, and you'll be safe as well."

"Alright!" Marle said, and gave you and Manus a thumbs up.
Scott shrugged. "What she said."
"Alright." Manus said. "I'll go introduce you to Max. But first, do you two need anything? Food, something to drink?"
"I think we're fine." Scott said.
"Devy-kun healed us up with food in our stomachs." Marle said.
"... Devy-kun?" Alex asked.

"No, that's alright." Manus said.
"More importantly, you have to meet Alex's new girlfriend!"
Marle's eyebrows rose, and a light entered her eyes.
Alex bolted.
"Is there class tomorrow, Manus?" You ask. "No? Wonderful, I'm gonna go pass out now. The adrenaline fairy is presenting her bill, and I feel like sleeping 'til tomorrow evening..."

And then light dimmed, and you closed your eyes, curling up.

When you wake up, you were in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar room, and Summer was there, snoring on top of you, loudly. Einstein chirped, signalling a new tip of the day;

"Hunger." You say, and Eye the purring, snoring summer. "Fluffy? Not edible." You turn to Einstein. "Minion? Not edible."

With TK, you lift Summer and slide out from under her. "Nutrients."
You get to your feet- and see a small brown sphere lying on the ground, pulsing and quaking. Devourer.
So you pocket him. Might as well.
Then you make your way out the room, making for the mess hall.
<It better be a joke, mister!> You say. <I'm pouting at you, so you should feel guilty! If she does, I'll just tell them again!>
<Yeah, it was a joke. Lucky thing Jilly's still asleep, else they'd be meeting right now.> Alex responded.
Inside the mess hall, there was nobody but Sigma and Lin, each eating at their own tables. You grabbed some waffles for yourself, and looked from table to table...

And then a tendril shot up from your pocket, stealing your waffles and starting to eat them. Which was strange, since the sphere didn't have a mouth.
So you get a second plate, and Devourer didn't eat this one.

>>25054963
"Sigma! Lin! How's life?"
>>
<Pocket sized Devy-kun! Feeling less tired?>
<Marginally.> Devourer responded.
You poured some syrup into your pocket, and heard slurping come from it, and sat down next to Lin, waving Sigma over.
"Sigma! Lin! How's life?"
"It goes on." Lin said, and chuckled. "This place is pretty awesome. After the scare yesterday, at least."
"I've never been able to fight in a spacecraft before." Sigma said. "I kind of want to try making my own, now. Oh! And apparently I'm supposed to ask Omni to make something for me and Anna. You know where he is?"
>>
>>25055111
"Yeah, the artificial gravity here is a lot cooler."

"I'm not sure! One second and I'll find out!"

>>

>>
>>25055111
Let's try something: can we try to telepathically give Devourer some mental energy, of the type regenerated by sleeping? See if it gives him the mental equivalent of a cup of coffee.

If that doesn't work, just for the heck of it try whipping up an espresso and pouring it in Devourer's pocket. Should be fun.

>>25055230

Not *hot* espresso; cool it off to drinkable temperatore.

>>25055275
He got the same full night's sleep that we did, and he might enjoy the pick-me-up. But yeah, that's why I suggested the mental energy boost first.
>>
"He's in the Wyvern's hangar." You say. "Out of curiosity, what are you supposed to have him make?"
"A port cap thingy for Anna's spine." Sigma said. "Something with a computer, so that I can control the computer, plug it into Anna, and see if she can jack into my mind or whatever."
"Interesting." Lin said.
"And Lin, when are we going into space?"
"After breakfast, I'm thinking." He said. "I'm not very good at it, though, so I'd have Isaac teaching me too. We pretty much need to wait for him."
>>
>>25055299
"Hmm. Alright. We can all head down to Wyvern's hangar and have a cool hangout there for a couple of hours."
>>
>>25055299
"Isaac? ...Teaching?"

Seconding telepathic boost for Devourer; it's worth a try just to see if we can do it.
>>
>>25055318
Were about to attemp space walking, is rather save our energy for something that matters.
>>
>>25055299
"That's a pretty interesting experiment, Sigma. Gotta be careful, though. Were you going to change your name or stick with the Sigma?"

Lin: "You're farther ahead than me with it."

Sigma: "from what I've seen, Anna plays a mean game of chess." don't elaborate further.

>>25055367
Helping our friends doesn't matter? He's worn out because he just brought two people back from the dead.

Besides, it's a useful power to have, for us and others; it's the first step towards pooling psionic reserves to do something stronger.

"Isaac? Teaching?"
"He already taught me a lot." Lin said. "The guy knows his shit."
"And that's a pretty interesting experiment, Sigma. Gotta be careful, though. Were you planning to change your name, or stick with Sigma?"
"I didn't put much thought into it..." She said, and tapped her chin. "Well, my boyfriend thinks my name is Sara, so I might as well go with that one."
"Makes sense." You say, and consume more waffle. "Wow, I'm so hungry."
"You skipped dinner last night." Ellie said, skidding into the room. She was wearing a set of boots you hadn't seen her wearing before- they had omnidirectional wheels in the bottom. She skidded to a stop. "Hey, you guys!"
"Hey." Lin said, and gave her a grin. She flicked him on the ear and went to the kitchen, coming out with cereal.

"Hey! You got the boots done as well! I'd designed them into the suit, but completely forgot."
"I figured out how to take the boots out." She said. "These are really cool!"
"Use the grappling hook yet?"
"On what?" She asked. "The station is all closed up."

You turn to Sigma.
"Sara? That's a nice name. With an h, or without?"
"Without, I guess." She said. "Why?"
With some willpower, you stuck a 'Hello, my name is Sara' sticker to her shirt. She looked down at it, and giggled. Ellie joined in.
"Hey, Lin, what's your impression of Jabberwocky? He seem odd to you?"
"Dude's crazy." Lin said. "Wanted me to be an assassin."
"Jabberwocky? That masked guy?" Ellie asked. "He was really, really familiar. But I don't know from where."

<You two look friendly~!>
<We aaare~> Ellie continued. <He's not rich, though, but he will be, since he's here. Also, apparently, one of the doctors want to hire me the same way, and stuff. To use me as a test subject for non-psion things.>

Well, Sigma was grown in a space lab so who knows what accent she has. Could be a stupid question, could be valid.

Awww. But we should mention it to try when we get back to the primary station.

She giggled.
<It's low on the priority list.> Ellie said. <And it was a joke.>
<Anyway, good for you! You should! You don't have to worry about school anymore.>
<Yeah... But what about my shuttle qualification?> Ellie asked. <I mean, I could skip the rest of those classes and go do the test after this, because of the way that works, but I don't want to mess up.>

You turn to Lin.
<What can you tell me about that guy who tried to kill you at restaurant, Lin.> You ask.
<It's not important.> Lin said.
<It may be somewhat important.> you continue.
<He was nobody important, and not big enough to have the resources to come after us.> Lin said. <And he's definitely not smart enough to find us.>

<Is Lin good in bed?> You asked, and Ellie coughed on her cereal.
<W-well, he's.. shy. We haven't done it yet.> She said.

You cast out, and search for bugs, but there wasn't any- there was the camera, though, and you knew that had an audio recorder.

>>25056102

>>
>>25056134
We don't know enough to make that call. Damien's got his eye on it, though, so Lin should be safe enough.
>>
>>25056119
>I don't think we should mention it to Lin. Mentioning it might trigger the series of events leading up to it, or it might prevent it, but we don't know.

We have absolutely no idea what leads to those events, and until we do we shouldn't start second-guessing our actions. Tell him.
>>
>>25056102
On the other hand, our conferrence with Damien indicates it's most likely a hilariously low-probability branch, and thus likely functionally irrelevant. A worst-case scenario, as it were.

>>25056061
As much as I want to see Alex's mom's reaction to Jilly, yes, I think we're ready to learn
>>
>>25056151
Remember, inaction is a decision too. We know nothing about the branch where we tell Lin or the branch where we don't. So we have to decide based on other factors, such as whether he deserves to be told about futures involving him.
>>
>>25056155
Yes, I will be second-guessing your opinion of what our actions should be.
Damien's keeping an eye on the situation. No need to exasperate it.
>>
>>25056156
>As much as I want to see Alex's mom's reaction to Jilly, yes, I think we're ready to learn

We can learn just as easily a little later in the day. Let's not miss the thing that'll only happen once. Retrocog isn't as good as being there.
>>
"Sure." You say, and consume the rest of your food, grabbing up whatever shakes and biscuits you could, putting them into your pockets.
"Alright." Isaac said. "You guys won't need suits or anything, since I'll be here. Come on."

He led you and Lin all the way to a strange room, sensors covering the walls. As you walked in, Isaac rapped a hand against a window in the side of the room, and the artificial gravity generators wound down, slowly decreasing your gravity.
"What we'll be doing is practice, first of all." He said. "We'll be lowering the pressure a bit, and your job is to pull all the air around you until you're back to normal pressure. Alright?"
"Alright." Lin said.
"If you're ready..." Isaac said, and rapped a hand against the darkened window again. You heard a hiss, and your ears popped, pressure getting lighter and lighter as you floated.

Then, you reached out, and with your infinite hands, you... pulled...

Carefully, you pull all the air you can as close... but all you did was blow around your hair like wind. Lin curled up, and he had a small sphere of mist around him. Isaac nodded at him, then turned to you.
"It looks like you're missing patches. You need to pull from everything equally. Don't think of it as hands, think of it as... a shrinking bubble around you." He said.

"Alright." Isaac said. "Now, they're going to take more pressure from the room. You have your bubbles solid?"
"Yep." Lin said.

You nodded, not sure if you could spare the focus to talk, holding the image of the sphere around you.

Carefully, carefully, you held things in place, pouring more and more will into it. The bubble seemed to spin, and now the mist around you, Lin, and Isaac were much more noticable.

"Alright..." He said. "Continue to hold it as long as you can, okay? Close your eyes if you need to."

Lin closed his eyes, as did you, still with pressure around you, and there was suddenly a loud hiss- and the utter cessation of sound.

You opened your eyes again- and in front of you was space itself.
You didn't have a suit.
You didn't have anything. You were naked against the stars, the hundreds of thousands of billions of suns in front of you. It wasn't being projected, or showing you a video feed, and you weren't seeing it smogged up like glass. You felt...
Awed, was the word.

Isaac's bubble shrunk a fraction, and two tendrils of it reached out you you and lin.
"Can you hear me fine?" He asked. "Just... keep focusing for as long as you can. When one of you lose concentration, I'll make sure you'll be fine. Just try not to panic."

"Heather, you're fine. Now, you guys should definitely be careful with this." He said. "Not just go out for joy rides until you're ready, and you'll need a lot bigger bubbles than I do."
He banged his hand against the window again, and the hatch closed shut. The room stayed unpressurized, but you felt significantly safer than you did before. Still, you held it there.

>Also, radiation is one of the ways that PsiQ's setting works drastically differently than ours, just as quantum mechanics is different in a way that allows for FTL communication.
>In other words, cheap handwave.

"S'okay." You say. "I'm pretty bad at it, as well."

Some time later, you'd barely scraped out a win, your adoromatons crushing Lin's terracotta army, and Isaac's standard human warrior fare- you think they were called the Imperial Guard or something.
Isaac just sighed, and rolled his eyes. "Told you guys I sucked."
"Well, I'm not bad either." Lin said- he was sweating visibly now, beading on his forehead. "I've won money on this, It's just that... well... it's hard to focus doing a Trick at the same time as playing..."
Suddenly, he let out a breath, and his bubble popped, air bursting into the room again. Isaac chuckled, and banged on the window one more time. The room hissed, and air filled it again. Your bubble was still there, almost, in the back of your mind... You could keep it there, almost subconsciously, now. You let go of it, and it popped easily. You were rather sure you could reform it easily.
>>
>>25056866
Try it again in atmosphere. See if we can produce about 1.3 atmospheres worth of pressure in a bubble.

>>

sounds like maybe we can get better if we sustain our powers longer?

might be worth a shot with telepathy.

>>25056884
Sounds good, it would be practice at using psionics more subtly, and it would also be potentially useful; psionic pneumatics.
>>
>>25056866
Why don't we find out if we've missed the Meeting of the Parents?
>>
>>25056913
Definitely. But we can practice
>>25056884
along the way.
>>
>>25056911
>psionic pneumatics

Fun idea. If we can pressurize air, we can compress it and form a tank around it.
>>
>>25056906
>sounds like maybe we can get better if we sustain our powers longer?

Sounds like. We should try that experiment on a few other things, like lightbending.

>>
"So I only won at Futurecraft because I'm better at telekinesis than you. I can't feel smug about that!"
"You can feel smug about being better at telekinesis than him." Isaac offered, and you gave him a grin.

"Hey, Lin, can you demonstrate your wallpass power?"
"Not right now." He said, taking deep breaths. "I'm exhausted. Maybe later."
You nod, and thank Isaac on your way out of the room, making your way to Jilly.

You take a deep breath, and decide to see if you could change pressure even more, with telekinesis, while you walk...

Easily, you pull pressure around you, and your ears popped as you felt something pressing against you. Your breaths counted for more, and your body started to feel rather strange, so you... pushed out, a little, creating a second bubble inside of that, where your pressure was perfectly normal. That way you walk, with strange mist circling around you, when you almost run into Jilly in the hallway, as she left her room.

"Hey!" She said, grinning. Then she stuck her tail into the extra atmosphere bubble. "This is easier to breathe, like this. What's up?"

"Hey Jilly! I'm just practicing my telekinesis. Also, I want to be there when you meet Alex' parents. For reasons."

"I just got through practice with Isaac and Lin, holding an atmosphere while in space. Once I could do that, holding a bit more atmosphere while in atmosphere is pretty easy. I was thinking about doing some pneumatics with psionics, but helping a friend feel more comfortable is an even better reason to do it. You should practice with Isaac so you can do it yourself, but until then why don't I accompany you for a bit and help you feel more comfortable? You've got an important meeting today, after all."

And now we have a reason to be there.
>>
"Just practicing!" You say. "Isaac taught me his atmosphere bubble trick."
"Oooh." She said.

"An important meeting? What kind?" She asked, and poked at your mind. "... Oh. Oh! Okay."
She grinned widely, and the two of you made your way down to a secondary dining room..
Where Marle, Scott, Alex... and Luna were.
"... Oh! Hi! Mom. What are you doing here?"
Luna gave Jilly a mischevious grin. "No reason~"
Marle squeaked, and pulled Jilly into a hug. "She's so cute!" She said, giddy, and smushed Jilly's face. "Isn't she cute, dear?"
"She is, yes." Steve said, incredibly neutrally.
Luna whispered something into Alex's ear, and he turned red.

"She's sooo cuuuute" Marle was saying, the muscled girl lifting up most of Jilly's considerable mass to twirl her around.

<What did your mother just say, Jilly?>
<She asked something... personal.> She said, going reddish pink, embarrassed.

<Hey, Robin, want to see some of the most awesome boobs ever?>

<No, you don't understand, they're better than *mine*> You say.
There was a pamf as Robin appeared behind you, out of sight of everyone else.
"Sooo cuuute~." Marle was saying. "D'aww, She's turning all red! Is she embarassed?"
"Yep!" Luna said, and giggled. Robin peeked around your back.
<Details, juiiiicy details. I gave you my juicy details when you asked.>
<S-she asked which set of... me he... preferred.> She stuttered.

<... Three thumbs up.> Robin said, looking over at Luna. Then she raised a hand, and did something.
Luna twitched, slightly... And then met your eyes and winked.
That's when you realized that, if someone didn't know Robin was here, they'd think you were the only telekinetic in the room.
>>

>>25057466
>That's when you realized that, if someone didn't know Robin was here, they'd think you were the only telekinetic in the room.

That's OK, we've got the perfect revenge. <Luna, I'm flattered, but that was Robin, behind me. She's interested.>

Then TK-grope her in much more *personal* places, and let her think Robin did it.
>>
>>25057466
<You are evil, Robin, you know that? What did you grope?>
>>
>>25057525
Not all the way out in the open. Just to the side a little so only Luna can see her.
>>
>>25057466
<It wasn't me, it was the phantom telegroper!>
>>
>>25057466

>>
>>25057539
Jilly has more than one type of genitals. Because she can.
>>
>>25057539
><Which set of...you?>

Jilly opted for both sets of bits because she couldn't pick a gender.
>>
>>25057539
><Which set of...you?>
Which set of genitalia. She got both because she couldn't decide.
>>
>>25057539

Goddamn, all these options. Alex will never get bored at least.
>>
You just broadcast confusion to her- and she raised an eyebrow.
So, telekinetically, you nudged Robin- And she vanished before she came into view. Stupid superhuman reflexes.
You could swear you heard her cackling as Luna twitched again.
<That wasn't me, it was the phantom telegroper!>
<Uh-huh.> Luna responded, and went very slightly pink. <Like there's really a phantom telegroper in the room.>

<... You're going to have to tell me the answer to that one, now.>
<I- I- um. Don't tell him I told you.> Jilly said. <He p-prefers my tongues. E-Especially the time Theta turned him female.>
Marle pulled Alex into the hug, and spun the both of them about. The researcher's strength was actually kind of terrifying- the only other person that could do that was Sarvesh.
>>
>>25057619
Nobody will, we live with Theta.
>>
>>25057613
Both sets of genitals and tentacle tongues...

>>25057632

>>
>>25057776
Please no, jesus christ.
>>
>>25057863
All the people who think that any interaction that's flirty or similar will cause permanent waifu lockout aren't here.
>>
>>25057879
That's half the fun of it; Luna is already so bluntly flirty that it would be funny to see if she would get embarassed past a certain limit.
>>
>>25057890
And it is a good thing.
Once we get over this repressed outburst.
>>
>>25057758
Luna: <I don't know about Alex, but personally, I suspect I'd prefer those tongues.>
>>
>>25057890
I think it's less of an issue with Luna anyway. A lot of the people on the station seem like they'd get emotionally invested in Heather if she flirted too much, with Luna, that's highly unlikely.
>>
>>25057796
That works for subtlety; let's go with that.
>>
>>25057776
Either she's free and game for it and we get one hell of an experience, or she's just in it for the flirting and will be taken aback.

Either is a win in my book. (including the intermediate option, an ensuing game of Xenophilia Chicken)
>>
>>25057903
This is good though.

>>
>>25057916
>Xenophilia Chicken

Oh, that would be glorious.

>>25057903
Just the right amount of flirt, yeah.
>>
>>25057903
I like it.
>>
>>25057930
That's because Heather is more than willing to take the head-on collision, and enjoy every minute of it.
>>
If Heather just sort of knows where people are, does she also know where people aren't, and won't be for a few hours?
>>
"Does the lifting count if it's with my mind, musclemom?" You ask, and flex, trying to lift the three- And Alex had his shield up, negating everything you tried to do. You couldn't even lift Marle, with the way she was clinging to Alex so tightly.
Marle shrugged. "I guess!"
<See, I told you.> You tell Luna, and then reach around to her backside, taking a grip with TK. You feel nothing but tough skin.
<For what it's worth, I don't quite have a butt.> Luna said, and giggled.
You make your way across the room and give Luna a hug.
"It's good to see you again. How have you been?"
"There was a minor incident with centaur calling for wargames with some nagala, but I put a stop to that."
"Diplomancing all the people?"
"Indeed!" She said.
"Will you be involved with the arrival of the Valk at all?"
"That's for the meets and xenolinguists and stuff." She said. "You're more involved than I am."

<I don't know about Alex, but personally, I suspect I'd prefer those tongues.>
<Oho.> Luna said, raising an eyebrow, and grinned. <You've got good taste, then.>
>>
>>25057903
Perfect. And if she responds by flirting back:
>>25057796
><Say Luna, want a tour of the station later?>
>>
>>25057930
Still not seeing a problem here.

<Hey, how about I give you a tour of the new station?>
>>
>>25057967
Going to repeat >>25057796

We shall have plenty of flirting time, and whether or not something sexy happens, it'll be fun all the same.
>>
>>25057967
To Alex: "Spoilsport."

To Luna: <I've been a Nagala before, briefly; I know all about good taste. By the way, want a tour of the station later?>
>>
>>25057967
<Huehuehue.>
>>
>>25057890
It's mainly because most everyone on the station is either incompatible, already repressing feelings for Heather or Anna.

So a one night stand with most of the people we already know is out of the question or would be cruel.
>>
Once you go Lunar, nothing can compare
>>25057967
<Well, the hydropondrics does have a good taste. I was a Nagala shortly. It was... interesting.>
grumbling bleedout <and one of them wasn't a tongue.>
>>
>>25058025
Exactly, we know that it'll just be a pleasant memory for both of them afterwards, nothing more.

I wonder if we can relive past sensations via retrocog...
>>
>>25058036
Does this station have a hydroponics?
>>
Rolled 84

>>25057967
"and nagala have a weird sense of taste; thanks to theta I got a chance to spend time as a nagala and a centaur and tasting all the floor I'm walking on is one of the weirder experiences I've had in a while..."
>>
>>25058025
Indeed. It'd be awkward around anyone we spend extended periods of time with, especially those who would like something more, like Sarvesh. Luna, on the other hand, is a safe flirting target, and a safe fling as well if she's up for it.

>>25058036
Heh. We should definitely include hydroponics on the tour if she hasn't seen (and tasted) it already.
>>
>>25057967
<How about a tour of the station later, if you're sticking around for a while?>
>>
>>25058012
>To Luna: <I've been a Nagala before, briefly; I know all about good taste. By the way, want a tour of the station later?>

This, and: <The hydroponics bay is delicious.>
>>
<I've been a Nagala before, briefly; I know all about good taste.> You say. <By the way, want a tour of the station later?>
<Well, you know, I know the layout of this station more than you do.> She said. <I looked it over when they were starting the institute, and from what I hear, you don't know it very well.>
She flashed yellow, but it looked slightly deliberate.
<Want a tour of the station later?> She asked.
>>
>>25058081
<Well sure, that beats my plan to download a schematic so I could actually show you around.>
>>
>>25058081
<I'd love one. Does this station have a hydroponics bay, then? Have you tasted it? Because the one back at the primary institute is delicious.>
>>
>>25058081
I forget, what does yellow mean?
>>
>>25058100
2nding
>>
>>25058081
<Oh, hoh.> Telepathically waggle eyebrows <I'd like that.>
>>
>>25058081
<I was planning on asking the cameras and station computers, but I think your offer sounds grand. I'd love to join you.>
>>
>>25058100
That's so in-character for Heather. She'd have just technopathied a map right out of the station and into her head.

>>25058109
Definitely recommend hydroponics, yes.
>>
>>25058111
It's standard happy.
>>
>>25058081
<I'd love one!>
>>25058111

Do remember that she's a diplomat, though, and can probably lie quite easily.

>>
>>25058081

>>
>>25058130
>>25058132
So the question is, what emotion is she hiding behind it...
>>
>>25058143
Or a smirk.

>>25058100
>>25058120
Yeah, Heather would have just used technopathy to pull it off. But this is better.
>>
>>25058150
Considering the lewd conversation and groping going on, I'd say it's pink underneath.
>>
>>25058150
Hope it's red/pink.
>>
>>25058172
>>25058173
That's the hope.
>>
>>25058081
<Hey Luna, what do Red and Pink mean in nagala language? Jilly keeps turning it whenever I ask about her and Alex...>
<What's green mean?>
>>
>>25058172
>>25058173
The really entertaining thing would be if we can get her to blow her cover and actually turn pink. That would be quite a victorious moment.

<Have you tasted its hydroponics bay, yet? The one back at the primary station is delicious. Though I bet there are tastier things...>
>>
>>25058199
We know what they mean. Or are you trying to trip her up?
>>
>>25058100
Nthing this.

>>25058109
And this.
>>
>>25058234
Just saying things for the sake of saying them.
>>
Okay guys, I really hate to be Buzzkillington here, but...let's say things get a little out of hand and Luna decides she's gonna dive on in to a big Heather-pie.

What about Anna?
>>
>>25058266
We are single right now, and Luna would be a one night stand.

It wouldn't really affect things with Anna, unless Anna is very very petty.
>>
>>25058266
We're not with Anna right now, and she has no right to say anything about it.
>>
<Well, sure, that beats my plan to download a schematic so I could actually show you around.> You say. You waggle an eyebrow. <I'd like that.>
"Well then!" Luna said. "I'm done embarrassing you, Jilly-"
"You're never done embarrassing me." Jilly responded.
"Right!" Luna said. "So I'm going to go show your friend around the station."

There was a pause as Jilly turned bright green, as Marle snuggled with her and as Alex despaired, unable to squirm out.
"Noooooo." Jilly said. "Not heather!"
Luna just flashed yellow again, but you saw- no, felt- a tinge of pink beneath that.
"Nooooooo...." Jilly said again, going quiet as Marle hugged her hard enough to squeeze the air out of her voicelung.
"I'm missing something." Scott said.

Luna made her way out of the room, and you followed.
<Have you tasted its hydroponics bay yet? The one back at the primary station is delicious. Though I bet there are tastier things...> You say.
<There are.> Luna said, and fluttered her eyelashes. <There's a delicacy I should have more often than I do now...>
"This way is the cafeteria..." Luna said, and slithered forward, trying to sway her hips as best she could.

>End of thread!
>>
>>25058266
I'm worried about this as well.

It could make her...unstable.
>>
>>25058266
What about her? Heather is single right now, Anna is working through her issues, and Heather can decide later whether to start dating Anna again (or someone else entirely) later.
>>
>>25058289
><There are.> Luna said, and fluttered her eyelashes. <There's a delicacy I should have more often than I do now...>
"This way is the cafeteria..." Luna said, and slithered forward, trying to sway her hips as best she could.

Well, it's official, unless one of our many enemies cockblocks us, Heather's getting some action tonight.
>>
>>25058315
Or unless Luna is teasing Heather and not actually serious. But we'll see.
>>
>>25058329
From Jilly's reaction, I suspect this isn't the first time Luna's done something like this.
>>
Heather X Luna when?
>>
>>25058266
This is a concern of mine. Also, what the fuck is Jilly going to say? That'd be so god damn embarrassing for her.
>>
>>25058315
The question is, are we getting smut?
>>
>>25058289
I have the biggest boner right now.
>>
>>25058369
Here's hoping the Smutfags will provide.

Bonus points if it ends with Heather walking into the cafeteria and Jilly accidentally picking up on the scene via telepathy.

...actually that would be pretty funny in the quest as well.

You aren't the only one, anon.
>>
>>25058358
>>25058369
I may or may not have already written some canon smut that I'm keeping under wraps until the quest is over.

On a related note, writing from Damien's perspective is difficult as hell.
>>
>>25058266
I can't imagine she would really be bothered about it. Maybe a little, but we're not really together. We said we'd be there if she got over her issues, and we will, but having a random fling has absolutely no impact on that.
>>
>>25058415
lel
>>
>>25058419
Now we just need to find a Centaur we can have a random fling with so that if we get back together with Anna, we can do so knowing we've tried everything.
>>
>>25058446
Sarvesh is there, but he isn't exactly random fling material, he's husbando material.

However, he does have a massive prehensile dick that can touch us in ways no one else can, so, I say go for it.
>>
>>25058367
She's not going to be talking so much as radiating a concentrated beam of spaghetti.
>>
>>25058458
Nah, that would be mean to Sarvesh.

We could always hit on his sister.
>>
>>25058501
But she doesn't have the prehensile dick. And his brother is taken and has a kid. We'd need a new character really. And Centaurs who like humans are meant to be quite rare.
>>
>>25058458
Sure, if you want to be massively cruel. He already spent a bunch of time and had the shit kicked out of him by Anna in order to get over Heather.

He's in the 'Repressing feelings for Heather' category, along with Damien, Alex and Summer.
>>
>>25058542
We can use Damien to go back to before we knew Sarvesh was husbando material, do him hard, then come back and act like nothing happened?
>>
>>25058553
>"Damien will you take me back in time so I can fuck Sarvesh without feeling bad about it?"
>"No."
>>
>>25058553
Huh, so that's what Heather would use time travel for.

"Well, you're probably all wondering why I've gathered you here today. It's to let you know that I'm going to be going away for a while... I'm travelling back in time, to have sex with every single one of you, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!"
>>
>>25058501
Pheles doesn't have a 2+ foot long prehensile cock.

>>25058545
Poor Sarvesh, spent his time being the best husbando, and got beaten by crazy-tits the cyborg, who messed it all up.

If only Sarvy was interested in something that could end up a fling, or could end up being more depending on how stuff went with us, him, and Anna later and which way we decided to go after Anna worked her shit out.
>>
>>25058289
Feel kind of bad for Jilly now. Even as an Annafag a one-night stand isn't very worrying to me, but interacting with Jilly would be...awkward if we go on with it.

On the other hand, most fun flirting in the quest so far. Oh well.
>>
>>25058415
>Damien smut
disgusting
>>
>>25058619
Eh, Jilly didn't seem really really upset about it, more like "aww, mom, not again!"
>>
>>25058545
Damien isn's suppresing so much as 'is aware that there are other fish in the sea, and is thus not horribly, horribly heartbroken'
>>
>>25058545
Alex is over us. He's got the best girl in the quest now.
>>
>>25058653
It'll still be awkward as hell, but it'll be spaghetti level awkwardness, not friendship-ruining level.
>>
>>25058693
>Girl
>Implying Alex isn't getting pegged all night every night.
>>
>>25058698
I am totally okay with that. Because spaghetti is always fun.
>>
>>25058711
We already got the answer to that, Alex prefers Nagala tonguejobs.
>>
>>25058728
As a female. As a male, it's probably a different story.
>>
>>25058415
Can Jilly's Penistongue still taste things?
>>
>>25058667
Yeah, not at all convinced that Damien has anything other than lust (plus liking her as a friend) for Heather. Maybe if we'd pursued him properly, but since he never showed proper romantic attraction, Heather's never treated him like she did those she thought/knew liked her properly (Sarvesh and Anna mostly) either.
>>
>>25058711
She's a girl, even if she has a dick.
>>
>>25058711
Fun fact-
Alex and Nat tried pegging. Totally canon, and it's technically supposed to be out of character knowledge, but why the hell not.
>>
>>25058762
I felt bad for him when we told him we were ditching him for Anna, since it was pretty obvious that he was a little upset at how casually we cast him aside.

Still, Damien's a pretty cool guy, so he got over it without causing a scene.
>>
>>25058792
Oh my. So does that mean that if Heather had ended up with Alex, he would've whipped out a big ol' strapon for her to wear.
>>
>>25058415
>On a related note, writing from Damien's perspective is difficult as hell.

"Which one?" would presumably be the problem?
>>
>>25058803
Maybe *eventually*.

>>25058756
Yes.
Also, you may or may not have mistakenly used the singular form of the word instead of plural.

>>25058631
That's the one I'm having trouble with. The Girl x Nagala and Girl x Cyborg ones were easy, though.
>>
>>25058794
We should fall asleep in his lap sometime.
A way to say sorry.
>>
>>25058852
sounds more like torture to me
>>
>>25058843
Yes, but do you have canon Girl x Centaur?
>>
>>25058792
Wait, they actually fucked? I thought Alex was just about to lose his virginity when she went all murderzombie.
>>
>>25058446
>>25058458
>>25058545
>>25058613
Who's to say Heather isn't still considering a non-fling there?
>>
>>25058619
While I do think we kinda broke Jilly just a bit, I don't think she'll be any more bothered by it than by any of Luna's other flirting and more-than-flirting.
>>
>>25058903
The Annafags seem to have it pretty locked in unless she screws up again.
>>
>>25058936
I would laugh if after all this, Anna overcomes her issues and goes "...but still, I don't think it'll work out between us."
>>
>>25058843
Canonicity question for you: if two Centaurs fight over a mate, one loses, and the mate later turns down the winner, is there any stigma attached to a relationship between the potential mate and the loser of that contest?
>>
>>25058953
I would cheer if either Anna or Heather said that.
>>
>>25058289
"Space: the final frontier.
These are the voyages of the starship Surya. Its mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilisations, and fuck them.- Captain Heather Leery
>>
>>25058953
Then we can (Slowly, so Heather doesn't look like a desperate slut) try for Sarvesh or Damien again.
>>
>>25058289
How did the old station do the battle-ftl-armor trick.

And could we apply it to a gun, for increased effectiveness?
>>
>>25058971
"I have made contact with over three hundred formerly unknown alien species, and I have ranked them in sexual prowess on this list."
>>
>>25058936
At the moment, I've seen support for taking her back, and I've seen support for turning her down. Doesn't seem like a clear winner to me.

>>25058971
Heather really is a female Kirk in most ways. She'd be the one going on the away missions, and she's the one getting all the hot women, and the hot men. Plus she built her own Data a couple of times.
>>
>>25059000
>battle-ftl-armor

I read this, and somehow pronounced "ftl" to rhyme with "battle".
>>
>>25058956
There's no stigma whatsoever. Wargames don't even force the potential 'trophy' to do anything. Some potential mates actually focus on the *losers* instead, in fact, or completely ignore the fighting. It's mostly a dominance thing against competitors, lets the adrenaline and moultcells run, and forces a moult (which is a necessity for young centaurs).

>>25059000
You'd have to ask Manus or Jason. Most likely Jason, because he knows the most about the station.
>>
>>25059000
Looked like it pulsed FTL emitters under a breakaway outer hull. Similar concept to a claymore mine.
>>
>>25059010
>At the moment, I've seen support for taking her back, and I've seen support for turning her down. Doesn't seem like a clear winner to me.

To be honest, I'm expecting Exabyte to draw out Anna overcoming her issues until the end of the quest anyway. So it most likely won't be an issue.
>>
>>25058956
How about the stigma of "ugh no fuck really we're going through this again"?

Can't wait for the no-romance quest. And hopefully either another no-romance quest, or a continuation of Sorc Quest after that, for minimum flirting or arguments.
>>
>>25058936
>>25058953
I was all for Anna once, but realistically, I don't want to see Heather being *that* forgiving. If Anna and Heather had just started dating, with no special attachments to it, I would have been all for forgiving her. When Anna went out of her way to explicitly ask for the dating equivalent of monogamy (a perfectly reasonable request), and *then* screwed around immediately afterward, that made it far less forgivable.
>>
I still say this seems like a bad idea, even if Heather is technically single. Plus isn't Heather like 16 or so? Does the future have different ages of consent?
>>
>>25059052
After no-romance quest, I might go to ValeQuest's sequel... Hehehehe.
But that'd have none as well, due to Astora existing.
>>
Let's tone down the crazy flirty stuff in the future, Alright, guys? I'm not one of those people who wants to lock into a waifu and never even look at anyone else, but there's a point where it's too much in the other direction, and it feels like we're close to that point itt.
>>
>>25059050
All the more reason to move on, honestly. Anna isn't ready for a relationship now, and Heather is; nothing forces Heather to wait forever, and there are others on the station who would love a relationship with Heather and whom Heather would love a relationship with.
>>
>>25059056
I gets funnier if you start looking at how short a time scale this quest is actually taking place over.

We were going out with Anna for what, a couple of days? It's been less than a week since she cheated on us.
>>
>>25059071
Where I live, 16 is the Age of Consent, so I see no problems.
>>
>>25059071
We covered ages of consent in a past thread, and 16 is more than sufficient in most of the galaxy, with a few planets setting it at 18 or 14.
>>
>>25059075
Pshaw, it's been fun having some flirting for a change without people freaking out.
>>
>>25059077
Exactly. Forgiveness in such a situation would be the kind of thing for a months-long or years-long relationship, not a days-long one.
>>
>>25059071
Fun fact-
While heather is several months from 18, Luna is only technically 23~ years old, and Jilly is only ~9
Nagala age and develop more quickly.
>>
>>25059090
It is fun, but this seems like too much flirting. I don't have problems with flirting, but when nearly every response is some type of flirt, it's a little much.
>>
>>25059056
She was inebriated when that happened. Plus while she did ask to go steady we did kind of let it go without even trying to understand, especially when Heather has been all about trying to understand others. Heck that was the reason Anna was an option at all considering at first she just wanted to be left alone and after she warmed up Heather kept sending mixed signals.
>>
>>25059073
Ah, Vale quest never interested me so I didn't know it was sequel set-up.
>>
>>25059075
Honestly? A fling is what Heather needs right now. Not like she's looking for something serious with Luna.

Afterward, she might be up for a serious relationship. That might be with Anna, or with Sarvesh, or even Summer or Damien.
>>
Am I the only one hoping for another appearance by Hound?

I want to watch those fireworks happening.
>>
>>25059075
Today was a little too much, but only very slightly.
Keep in mind this is 30something threads of repression bursting out. It'll calm down a little, but it isn't going away.
>>
>>25059114
We saw the entire thing; the inebriation was not the cause. I'd be all for giving her the benefit of the doubt and wondering about the circumstances and the consent, but we saw it.
>>
>>25059122
Indeed, let Heather have her fun. Might help her get over attaching some obsessive significance to Anna, which would mean that whether or not they got back together, it would be a lot healthier.
>>
>>25059111
If it were just flirting, it'd be too much. In this case, it was a serious attempt to set up a little fun with Luna, and I agree with the idea that Heather could use that right now.
>>
>>25059111
But if there isn't a clear majority for flirting, Exa tends to take the middle route and not include it.

A clear majority is the only time flirting happens.
>>
>>25059138
Eh, I'm still with the 'Anna was totally at fault and deserved all she got, but a couple' days long relationship and pretty bad mental issues doesn't make for very long-lasting resentment.
>>
>>25059138
We did see it and she had consumed alcohol. While that wasn't the sole purpose it did play a part. Do remember that she shot at the guy when she realized what had happened so I don't quite think she was all there.
>>
>>25058972
>so Heather doesn't look like a desperate slut

But she is?
>>
>>25059141
Exactly. Sitting around and waiting for Anna isn't healthy. She'll be in a better place to make a decision without doing so.

Personally, I'm all for Heather pursuing a different relationship, but even if she turns back to Anna, it would still be healthier to not have just sat around and waited.

>>25059161
I'm not suggesting resentment at all, no; it's not the kind of thing to seethe over. I do think it's a relationship-ender for a few-days-old relationship, though.
>>
>>25059180
Heather isn't desperate, just perpetually horny, as one would expect of a 16 year old girl played by a group of fa/tg/uys.
>>
>>25059168
I'm not going to argue that. But I also think she would have fallen for it whether she'd had a few or not.
>>
>>25059050
I actually find that to be a totally acceptable solution, if not a particularly desirable one on my part, being an unrepentant Annafag.

It's far better than reliving the waifu wars.
>>
>>25059191
>Sitting around and waiting for Anna isn't healthy.
This so fucking hard.
>>
>>25059191
Yeah, and the relationship is over (thus we're going for that delicious Luna)? Doesn't mean there can't be a second chance. Anyway, I'm an Annafag all the way, so arguing opinions is pointless.
>>
>>25059090
It seems like we were leaving the post flirt freakout until after the quest, because now it's started again.
>>
>>25059207
Quite honestly, wars aside, I think Heather ending up with someone else would be more satisfying all around. Anna-lovers got a relationship, Damien-lovers got a fling and some flirting, and giving fans of Summer or Sarvesh some action would be a nice compromise. Not like it would imply that they rode off into the sunset at the end of the quest; they're teenagers, and all it would imply is that they had a relationship for some amount of time. I was a fan of the Anna relationship, and I think that ship has sailed; I'd be happier seeing a different one now.
>>
>>25059196
If Heather thought it wouldn't hurt anyone, she'd happily be the town bicycle.
>>
>>25059251
Indeed, Heather seems like what she'd really like is the harem ending, but sadly reality refuses to live up to her expectations.
>>
>>25059213
Still technically waiting for her to deal, but I don't think anybody, even Anna, would be particularly bothered if Heather has a fling on the side while waiting.
>>
>>25059263
>reality

You mean Exabyte.
>>
>>25059107
Does that mean they have shorter lifespans?
>>
>>25059222
I guess, it's just that some others when Anna is brought up seem to say, 'Screw Anna she clearly wasn't thinking about us when she cheated'.

Except if that were true she would have just kept the whole thing quiet, then we would have found out and had a big blowup. Instead she came to us, and is going to therapy because she does want to be with us. This already says a lot because most people don't want to admit they have a problem.

All in all people are content to pull the Anna doesn't mean shit card over one mistake when Heather herself has made just as many as Anna.
>>
>>25059242
Nah, I think most people aren't freaking out over the flirting (though some are), they're freaking out over the more-than-flirting. "But we love Anna forever and we'll forgive her please get back together!" "Move on, other fish on the station, centaur/tiger/nagala love forever!"

>>25059264
Heather and Anna are the definition of an "it's complicated" relationship right now.
>>
>>25059251
Yeah, Heather seems like the kind of person you ask to bring in on for a threesome when you want to spice up your relationship.
>>
>>25059291
I might have to write that now...
>>
>>25059251
So you say, but Heather is controlled by the voters and there has been a pretty big contingent of voters (me among them) staunchly opposed to flirting due to all the time it wastes and arguments it incites. Between the lack of romance recently, and Luna being mostly drama-free, flirting won out in this thread, but if it starts up for real again I wouldn't be surprised to see more backlash.
>>
>>25059288
Heather and Anna don't have a relationship right now. Anna herself has said this.

Not saying that they might not get back together later, but Anna certainly doesn't expect Heather to sit around waiting for her to fix her issues, and Heather doing so would be unhealthy.
>>
>>25059247
I'm a sucker for riding into the sunset endings, though. Hence I would much prefer Anna.

To each their own, I suppose. I'm not massively bothered either way, but I think what we've said to Anna so far might have been a bit cruel if we decide not to take her back. You know the saying, the cruelest thing you can do is to give somebody false hope.
>>
>>25059305
Who with?
>>
>>25059282
They normally do, but age-extension transgenes are so common in nagala society that some actually transgene their clutches before they hatch. They still only live to about a hundred years (as opposed to almost two hundred years for a similarly transgened human, or a hundred average for a non-transgened human [yay modern medical science]), but that's much more than the paltry ~60 they normally live.
>>
>>25059291
"Heather, quick! We want a threesome but there's only 2 of us. Will you join us?"

"Can I bring my massive collection of over-engineered sextoys?"

"... yes. Yes you can."
>>
>>25059308
Heather's been opposed to flirting with people who she thinks would get serious and emotionally invested.

I just saw it as her realising it would be wrong to lead them on if they had actual feelings for her.
>>
>>25059285
I wouldn't go as far as "Anna doesn't mean shit"; it's more that a lot of people are treating the scenario and relationships like exactly they are: teenagers having fun, and not necessarily planning their wedding and first five kids' names. There's no sense of scale. A relationship of a few days isn't necessarily serious enough to accuse "cheating!" and hate her, but it isn't also isn't necessarily serious enough to forgive her for it and get back together, either.

>>25059324
Alex and Jilly would be the obvious choice.
>>
>>25059291
Sigma/Sigma's boyfriend/Heather sounds fun.
>>
>>25059324
Not sure yet. Alex/Jilly is what I most tempted to do, but then they don't really need much more 'spice' I think.
I suppose there's also Manus/Neva and Sara/Whatshisname though, but those seem less immediately interesting to me.
>>
>>25059344
>Alex and Jilly would be the obvious choice.

Something tells me both Alex and Jilly would be up for that, but neither of them would have the guts to ask.
>>
>>25059349
Sigma X Heather X Rho.
>>
>>25059318
This is exactly what I have been fearing. That we are giving Anna all this hope that she can get back together with Heather, and then when the time comes tg will say 'screw you'.

Makes Heather seem to come off worse than Anna ever did.
>>
>>25059349
>>25059330
... I should mention that, theoretically, Sigma may be able to control, say, a massive collection of over-engineered sextoys.
>>
>>25059361
Well, once we get Robin her clone-girlfriend back, if her clone-girlfriend is just as pervy as her...
>>
>>25059361
If Damien succeeds, Rho/Rho/Heather.
>>
>>25059332
I agree with this entirely. We scale flirting appropriately. Summer is slightly interested, but not so much that flirting would be a vicious tease. I'd be opposed to flirting with Sarvesh if we weren't serious, though. Luna is pretty much the definition of consequence-free right now.

I do agree that we shouldn't let flirting consume the quest, though. That's all the more reason to establish a relationship again, whether it's a permanent one or not.

>>25059318
I'm a sucker for riding into the sunset endings too, though I'd prefer someone other than Anna. (Sarvesh, specifically, but the argument applies to others too.)

But I'm also a sucker for variety, and we've had some fun with Anna; I'm all for giving people what they want, hence me suggesting the idea of a semi-stable-but-not-necessarily-sunset-worthy relationship with someone else.
>>
>>25059356
Jilly sharing some of her juicy details because it's only fair, then Heather picks up on certain thoughts and remembered conversations...
Or maybe Heather breaks her eyes again and uses Jilly to see, picking up on those thoughts or memories in the process.
>>
>>25059332
Well you're free to do that, of course, but if I wasn't sleeping I'd have voted against Lune here, as well as Damien or any other potential casual flings. The way I see it, being casual about sex doesn't mean it has to be shoehorned into every interaction like the early threads, especially given what it turns the threads into (even this thread, while civil, has a shit-ton more meta discussion than other recent threads, I dread to think of what it'd look like if people had flirted with someone other than Luna).
>>
>>25059356
"Noooo!" Says Jilly.
"Look," Heather said, "I'm going to get tentacles shoved into my orifaces today, so if it's not her, then it better be you!"
>>
>>25059368
But Heather could talk to them and get feedback, tell them what to do and have the sextoys try to please her.
>>
>>25059376
Why can't I grope all these Rhos!?
>>
>>25059365
I'd be all for not stringing Anna along either, but it's pretty much an inevitable consequence of the OOC infighting between sides.
>>
>>25059344
Yet if that were the case people wouldn't have had Heather have a blow up at Anna like they did. Or at least that's my take on it. They whole shutting down and not realizing how much time we had spent in the workshop bit and people had to come and get us out.

I think it was a bit more serious than 'teenagers having fun' though I will agree that it wasn't marriage levels.
>>
>>25059389
You have to accept though that if that's what the majority want, that's what's going to happen. That's kind of what a quest is.
>>
>>25059389
We've had a few dozen threads without it; can't hurt to have a little fun once in a while, as long as we keep it reasonable.
>>
>>25059365
Exactly. She would have gone through all the therapy and jazz, fixed her issues, and finally made that proper apology (Fireworks and everything) for love of Heather, and then when she finally thinks she might be good enough for her, she gets rejected. That's the sort of thing that ruins a person, and might actually make her more damaged than before she fixed her issues.
>>
>>25059412
Have you been around teenagers and their relationships before? A half-day worth of catatonia after a relationship ends is rather tame. I'd be more shocked if Heather brushed it off. Doesn't mean she's scarred for life, or resentful for life either.
>>
>>25059429
She's not in a position to be told "yes" right now, and /tg/ is fighting too much to tell her "no" right now.
>>
>>25059416
Yeah, that's what I'm saying - the 'less flirting/romance please' crowd has already had a period of majority, so A: don't be surprised if it happens again, and B: defining Heather as 'willing to have casual sex at any point if she's not in a relationship and has some interest' makes no sense when the majority rules mechanic means we already know that isn't always the case.
>>
>>25059429
I think Heather and Anna will get back together, at the end of the quest most likely, possibly in an epilogue when there really isn't room for anyone to argue for anyone else because the quest is over.
>>
I'm all for taking Anna back once she puts in the work and apologizes (If only so we don't string her along, because that's a really douchey thing to do). But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be casual with whoever until that point.
>>
>>25059389
The entire point was that it *wasn't* anybody else. It's a no strings attached fling. Nobody gets hurt, nobody is strung along.
>>
>>25059429
No point worrying about it at this point.
>>
>>25059412
/tg/ way overreacted to the cheating. It's like it's some trigger for amazing amounts of butthurt.
>>
>>25059456
I feel like you're turning this into some kind of set of camps, where you have to fight for the purity of the quest as you see it, and that will only lead to you getting very angry whenever it doesn't live up to your very specific wishes.
>>
>>25059429
The nice thing is that on these timescales it'll only have been a few days, and that's not long enough to call it "stringing her along".
>>
>>25059456
I believe you are mistaken.
There was a temporary alliance of Annafags, waifufags, anitflirtingfags and plotfags that allied to cause an event with mutually beneficial goals. That has dissolved.
>>
>>25059460
Agreed. Let Heather have a bit of fun, a single fling with Luna isn't "flirting taking over the whole quest" as some people seem to be arguing.

It was one thread people, and possibly part of tomorrow's thread, we just had multiple threads of psionic powers and fights with demiurg and shit, let the people who want to flirt have their turn.
>>
>>25059450
I, for one, hope that it has already been decided for the most part.

Because otherwise we are going to have to go back to the wars eventually, and nobody wants that, not even the Summerfags. So I pray that Exabyte will at least sway a little bit when the time comes.
>>
>>25059400
Exabyte should probably just take a small amount of liberty if it ever comes to that. If the tug of war looks like it is never going to end, he should attempt to roleplay the established character as best he can just to move things forward.
>>
>>25059471
Seconded. I'm all for giving more than just one camp what they want. A few semi-serious relationships, lots of flirting, a serious relationship, and plenty of non-romance plot and psionics. Everybody has fun, except the mutually exclusive sets of players who want long-term relationships with different people (and the ones who want no romance or flirting at all). But honestly, fans of non-Anna love interests, wouldn't you be more satisfied with a semi-serious relationship with no sunset-riding rather than no relationship at all? And Anna-fans, wasn't it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all? Can't we all just get along?

inb4 BigNo.

>>25059507
This is the one camp I just can't wrap my head around: the "I don't care I just don't want the wars back" camp. We're all for the most part a civil bunch, and we tend to act like it. I started out liking Anna, now I'd love to see someone else, and I'm not going to be devastated no matter what happens. Personally, I'd just like the variety of there having been multiple interesting relationships in this quest.
>>
>>25059471
I don't really care about purity, just keeping the fucking waifufagging out as much as possible. Actually stopped reading for a while due to the incessant romance, came back when archive comments made it look like Anna had won (that worked out great) and stayed since the break on romance was initiated. If the flirting starts up again in earnest I'd just quit reading again, yes, or maybe catch up in archives by Ctr+Fing Exa's posts, but I don't like doing that in quests generally.

>>25059490
Can easily happen again, even if you're right.
>>
>>25059492
Second. If a couple threads of flirting is what it takes to ensure another string of threads that actually progress the plot and character goals, then so be it.
>>
>>25059550
So you left the quest when it went somewhere you didn't like, and now you've come back and want everyone to do what you want or you'll storm out again?

Kind of makes you sound like a dick, you know.

When did I want everyone to do what I want? I merely had issue with someone saying Heather was willing to have casual sex with anyone on the station, on the basis that majority vote explicitly says that isn't true, as well as personally disagreeing. Also expressed my desire to avoid flirting, and discussed the possibility of that view winning majority vote again in the future. At no point did I make any demands at all.

I'm an unrepentant Annafag.

Also, flirting and casual flings should probably be kept at a minimum for the sake of stability, but I'm not necessarily against them if there are no strings attached.
>>
>>25059571
Flirting and casual relationships as long as they don't hurt people or consume the thread too much.

Relationship with Sarvesh, though a cat is fine too.
>>
>>25059661
My question is: How many people are voting to say 'yes' to Anna simply to avoid meta arguments?

Because I say: Fuck you to those people.
Play the god damn character. Don't make your decisions for meta reasons.
>>
>>25059661
Yup. And for the third question, "immediately" and "no relationships at all" are pretty clearly unwanted, and most of the fans of specific people other than Anna are also happy to settle for other people other than Anna.

I voted yes for Anna because I think it could lead to a very satisfactory conclusion.

Plus I feel like we've gone too far down the Anna route to turn to Sarvesh or Summer without causing Anna some serious emotional backlash.
>>
>>25059705
I realized right after I posted the survey that there should have been
[]I don't care
and
[]I don't care, as long as this shit doesn't bog down the rest of the quest.
as options for all three questions.
>>
>>25059722
As one of the Sarvesh advocates: that doesn't even enter into the decision. He's the one that seems most serious about Heather, and I'd like to see Heather be serious back.
>>
>>25059739
There was for the last question, and nobody seems to have picked it.
>>
>>25059705
I actually think Anna is just the best romantic interest.

I don't really like the other characters all that much, except Summer and Rho.
>>
>>25059744
Well they'd best be serious, because after centaur-dick, I doubt there'll be much else out there that can satisfy Heather.
>>
>>25059719
Interesting stuff.

Though I do think Sarvesh has probably already moved on. That was what the whole thing about him and Anna dueling was about. If we did persue, I wouldn't be surprised if he refused on the basis that it would mean going back on that whole thing, given that it seemed to be a pretty serious deal for him.
>>
>>25059753
Rho said no pretty clearly, though.

>>25059758
It's comments like that that make everyone think the entire Sarvesh camp are just in it to see Heather get the /d/.
>>
>>25059753
Lucky you, I like pretty much all the characters, which is what makes it so hard to pick.
>>
>>25059744
I'm a diehard Summerfag, but even I can recognise Sarvesh as the #1 husbando.
Dude's a fucking ideal life partner.
>>
>>25059773
Exactly, and Summers a tiger, though Theta can fix that.
>>
>>25059705
I prefer Anna because I find her the most appealing, both as a character and storyline. As I've said before, other LIs just kind of seem cheaper, especially since Exa confirmed they didn't have anything near as dramatic in store for them, so they'd be less fulfilling/interesting than Anna (I see the appeal of Sarvesh definitely, but for me he+Heather seems like it'd be really boring).
>>
>>25059773
I'm not really in a camp though, I'd be happy whoever Heather ended up with of the big three options, what I'd rather not see is Heather emotionally fuck over any of them by being indecisive or insensitive.
>>
>>25059780
And conversely, I'm a Sarvesh fan for exactly that reason, but I wouldn't be sad to see a relationship with Summer either.
>>
>>25059758
this is the shit i was talking about.

sarvesh is literally the worst.
ugh.
>>
>>25059809
It was a joke bro, relax.
>>
>>25059791
There was plenty of drama with Sarvesh, it just ended with the Anna/Sarvesh battle. Imagine how that would have worked if Heather was in a relationship with Sarvesh at the time instead of with Anna? That would have been interesting.
>>
>>25059722
That's only part of it.

The rest of it is because he's serious about Heather, gentlemanly, protective, we can ride on top of him, he's an amazing cook, buff as all fuck, wouldn't even consider being unfaithful unless we told him that threesomes are alright, he tinkers with machines and helps us build stuff, is generous, kind. Pretty much an ideal life partner, the long, thick, prehensile cock is just frosting on top of the crabcake husbando.

>>25059822
Well for one thing he wouldn't have held back in the fight and let Anna win.
>>
>>25059705
Nah, I'm voting for eventual forgiving of Anna because I think that would lead to the most interesting and satisfying tale.

Arguably still meta because I'm not playing the character, I'm just looking at which option tells the best story. Going for Sarvesh, Summer or Damien would mean all the character development that Anna has gone would have been a futile waste of time, and that would kinda suck. I do find Anna somewhat interesting as a character, as well. Not as interesting as, say, Omni, but interesting nonetheless.
>>
>>25059791
I imagine the Summer drama would have been a lot worse if we were involved, and Anna's wouldn't have been half as bad if we were only spectating.
>>
>>25059822
I seriously doubt Anna would've challenged Sarvesh for us.
>>
>>25059705
I'm just a far bigger fan of romantic storylines with some drama/conflict that's got some kind of impact. I'm just not seeing how Heather/Sarvesh would be interesting in that regard (Heather/Summer has some potential if Summer's issues got worse, but that seems unlikely now), and I'm already invested in Anna anyway. I guess it helps that cheating doesn't bother me that much in story too, some anons seem to really hate characters who cheat.
>>
>>25059831
I would argue that a 'bad end' for Anna is an ending worth reading.
>>
>>25059794
More than anything I agree with this. I'd be happiest with Sarvesh, I'd settle for Summer, and while I'm not a fan of Anna I wouldn't shit up the quest if she won either. But I definitely don't want to see Heather be cruel to anyone.

captcha: right-hand stand
Yeah, clearly right-hand is the true winner here.
>>
>>25059831
I'm kind of disappointed that Hound will most likely never reappear in the quest. The whole Anna storyline just won't feel complete without some sort of Hound-related closure.
>>
>>25059836
Sarvesh might have challenged Anna to clear the air.

>>25059828
>The rest of it is because he's serious about Heather, gentlemanly, protective, we can ride on top of him, he's an amazing cook, buff as all fuck, wouldn't even consider being unfaithful unless we told him that threesomes are alright, he tinkers with machines and helps us build stuff, is generous, kind. Nice summary.
>>
>>25059857
Indeed, it does feel right now like Hound's role was as follows:

>"Hound here, just stopping by to sleep with your girlfriend, and now I'm off to disappear into the ether, enjoy your drama!"
>>
Not really relevant, but I should say it anyway- the more I'm reminded of what things I need to resolve in PsiQ, the more it's likely that we'll surpass a hundred threads.
>>
>>25059851
Fair enough, but I'm not a fan of downer endings. They just make me depressed.
>>
Random thought: with Sarvesh being the most technology-centric and wanting to explore the galaxy, it seems like the folks who want to see any relationship that quiets the wars down and gets us back to the plot would be all for Sarvesh, since it would make it easiest to move the plot forward at the same time as the relationship.
>>
>>25059857
He ends up working for Luna as a bodyguard by day.
And gets pegged all night long.
>>
>>25059822
I see what you're saying, but it's not interesting drama for me. Of course, that situation would not have occurred if Heather was interested in Sarvesh, but still, it wasn't interesting drama for Anna either. There was nothing romantic at stake - certainly there was worry for our friends, but if the 'wrong' person had won, it wouldn't have changed shit for Heather's feelings, and even if Sarvesh distanced himself feeling like he didn't deserve Heather, it doesn't provide any dilemmas or problems for anons at all beyond figuring out how to prove the LI is the best and most awesome.
>>
>>25059879
I have no problem with that, really.
>>
>>25059882
It could easily be done as a non-downer. Anna and Heather fondly remember the fun times they had together, Anna worked through her issues, and then she's in a stable relationship with someone else, as is Heather. Happy all around
>>
>>25059879
I don't really have a problem with that.

We need to think up more crazy as fuck designs though. Singularity reactor sounds like a good starting point.
>>
>>25059882
Everyone else would get a happy ending. And Anna can always move on.
And if we end up with Summer, she can have Sarvesh, which is the best ending of all.
>>
>>25059890
Pshaw, we don't need Luna for that.

"Theta, I need you to turn me into a giant rapey-looking black guy... for reasons."
>>
>>25059903
>And if we end up with Summer, she can have Sarvesh, which is the best ending of all.

Yet another reason why I'm happy to settle for Summer instead of Sarvesh.

It'd be all the funnier given that the two of them fought before.

I'm sure he'll eventually pop back up to recieve a foot to the dick.

Or multiple feet. Possibly three or more, depending on whether Heather or Anna decide to do a flying kick.

It's just like in that centaur romance we watched, where the girl forces the guy to moult, and then takes him back to her place when he can't fight back.
>>
>>25059903
Actually, that's a good point. Anna is still my preferred LI, but Summer is a close second for that reason alone.
>>
>>25059879
Just a suggestion: would you consider resolving this sooner rather than later? I think that pretty much every camp here would be happiest if we either got back together with Anna or talked with her and let her down gently in the next thread or two. Either one would be better than stringing it along for longer than we already have. Any real objections to that (leaving out which of the two we actually go with)? Because the decision won't get any easier the longer we defer it.
>>
>>25059937
I fear the amount of samefagging that will appear when the "get back together or let her down" question comes up.
>>
>>25059937
That's a good question, actually: is there *anyone* here who would be happier if we strung Anna along for another dozen threads rather than settling it, no matter which way it gets settled?

>>25059956
So we should defer it indefinitely because it's hard to deal with?
>>
>>25059979
I think it's more a case that Anna hasn't sorted out her issues yet, and forcing it will just mess her up.
>>
>>25059937
Anna's issues are not the sort that can be sorted out in a day or two.

>See 'get back with Anna immediately' option has no votes
>Try to force a vote immediately so that we dump her
>>
>>25059956
It already does. There's really no way for Exabyte to win here.

I think the least damaging route would just be to use his own interpretation of the character thus far. It'll probably upset everyone a little bit, but not as much as if one camp wins out over another one.

Of course, that isn't going to happen, but one can dream. It's been a nice break, but it looks like we're counting down to the next edition of waifu wars.
>>
>>25059979
Forgive my ignorance, but how are we stringing her along, exactly?
>>
>>25059989
I meant at the meta-level; that sorting-out ends whenever Exabyte says it ends. I'm suggesting that pretty much everyone would be happier with sooner rather than later. I'm not suggesting forcing the issue at all.

And honestly, telling Anna our answer in advance wouldn't break her, whether it's "I'm willing, whenever you're ready" or "I'm sorry, I don't want to lead you on".
>>
>>25060010
>I think the least damaging route would just be to use his own interpretation of the character thus far. It'll probably upset everyone a little bit, but not as much as if one camp wins out over another one.

Agreed.

>>25060011
Anna already brought it up once and we demurred. More to the point, every thread that goes by without settling it strings the players along, which means more argument. We'll actually have less argument if we settle it and move on.
>>
>>25060011
Because we explicitely said that we'd be there when she got through her issues.
>>
>>25060034
Not exactly, but we didn't say we wouldn't be, either. Hence stringing-along.
>>
>>25059937
>>25060002
Seriously
>>
>>25060002
Poster of
>>25059937
here: I wasn't suggesting a vote, I was suggesting that I'd like to see her issues settled sooner rather than later, so that the thread's issues can be settled sooner rather than later. I'd be happy no matter which way that goes.
>>
>>25060032
Actually, delaying the decision it means less argument per thread, but then it's just going to build up until we're actually forced to finally answer 'Anna: Yes or No, and if No, Who?', at which point everything is going to explode in a fiery supernova of samefagging and seething rage.
>>
>>25060063
Less argument per-thread, but more overall argument. Let's grit our teeth and rip off the bandage all at once; it'll hurt less.
>>
>>25060063
>at which point everything is going to explode in a fiery supernova of samefagging and seething rage.

You know what I'd like Exa to do when that happens. Roll a d3, 1: Anna, 2: Summer, 3: Sarvesh.

Job done.
>>
>>25060084
>omitting Devourer
>shiggydiggy
>>
>>25060084
I wouldn't. Considering people were whining about 'meta' bullshit in whether to take back Anna or not.
>>
>>25060084
I'd be completely thrilled if that happened.
>>
>>25060099
O-our own son...

How lewd.
>>
>>25060084
>>25060099
I'm personally in the Sarvesh camp, and I'd still be perfectly happy to bias it towards Anna: 1/2 Anna not, if 2 then 1/2/3/4/5 Summer/Sarvesh/Summer/Sarvesh/Other.
>>
>>25060084
I see 7/15 for Anna in that poll above, so really 1d4, 1-2 anna, 3 summer, 4 sarvesh.
>>
>>25060080
I think the >>25060010 solution would be the least painful. Exabyte would draw the anger to himself, and it would generate significantly less than any other option. And since we would all be angry at Exabyte rather than each other, we would be able to progress. He'd take the hit for the good of the continued telling of the story.
>>
>>25060126
Better: we'd all be angry at the /tg/ dice. Just like every other quest ever.
>>
>>25060084
>>25060120
>>25060121
and now rather than arguing over who it should be, we can argue over the dice used.
>>
>>25060120
>Other
"Helios... I..."
>>
Rolled 2

We could get even more meta about it:
>>25060133
1 biased towards Anna (1-2 Anna, 3/4/... others)
2 equally weighted (1 Anna, 2 Summer, 3 Sarvesh, ...)
>>
>>25060084
I can't believe this is what it's come down to. Didn't we not initially do this because we wanted 'organic interaction'? What a load of horse shit.
>>
>>25060147
No, that was the argument against using a poll to decide the results rather than just winging it.
>>
I really hope Exa either does it himself or just leaves us hanging right after Anna's apology.

Last lines of the quest is Anna asking Heather to take her back.
>>
>>25060176
I'd take any of the three major choices over *that*.
>>
>>25060147
Yeah, I'm definitely not going to use the dice method. The results will be what most fits the characters in question.

But I do have something to say before the thread dies;
How do you think Anna would respond to everything in this post-thread?
>>
>>25060191
How would any of the characters respond to the things we post ooc?

With horror, I would imagine.
>>
>>25060191
Horror, mostly.
>>
>>25060191
I'm going to agree with the other anons and say horror.
>>
>>25060191
She's think Heather's gestalt brain is weird, although slightly relieved that the majority of her brain still likes her?
>>
>>25060191
I don't know.
Maybe you should do an interview?
>>
>>25060191
"Oh my god! Heather's brain is a load of fat guys who constantly argue over inane shit? You know what, I don't really want to go out with her after all."
