LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Gundam+AGE+Quest

Follow me on twitter for updates: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your name is Jake Crocker and you've just come back from kicking ass, taking names, crushing the Vagan Fortress of Ambat, Saving your girlfriend and soon you won't have to worry about going to prison!

The Federation is four hours away and your sitting down to lunch with Yurin, Flit and Desil, who just met your friend Mellis. Desil seems extremely uncomfortable around Mellis due to the fact he kind of kidnapped her and planned on using her to kill Flit.

Your basically Desil's big brother now so you should find some way to remedy this.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>25053051

thank Desil for providing information which helped locate the data which helped Mellis...

suggest they have a friendly match on the MS sims...
>>
>>25053051
Give Desil a noogie and tell him not to worry about Mellis. If Mellis is going to beat someone up, it's most likely going to be us. And we were probably asking for it.
Tell him not to worry, she's much nicer than she seems to be, and that she isn't angry at him.
>>
>>25053051
We shall maximize our stupid big brother power. Preferably in a way that leaves both Desil and Mellis embarrassed with us rather than thinking about what happened between them. They will bond over a mutual confusion about whether we're awesome or an idiot.

"Desil, do you know what a 'tsundere' is? Don't worry if you don't get it, you will around the time you hit puberty. The point is, if she seems mean it's mostly because she never grew out of the 'boys are icky' phase and has to snark all the time to hide how much she secretly cares about people. She's really a nice person, honest. Trust me, you'll come to appreciate it after a little bit of conversation. Just don't start crushing on her, bro. I know, it'll be hard not to, but you'll just have to endure it."
>>
>>25053166
>>25053231
You sit between Mellis and Desil to kill off some of the awkwardness flooding the room and turn to him, smiling. You lean over and speak to him.

"Thanks for giving me that information man. If it hadn't been for you we would have never been able to get the information to save Mellis. I realize that and she realizes that. Don't worry about Mellis. If Mellis is going to beat someone up, it's most likely going to be me"

>>25053347

Desil looks up at you, smiling now. He still seems a little bit uncomfortable but your words have obviously helped a lot, even though he doesn't really understand what a tsundere is.

You, Flit, Yurin and Mellis blab about your past and some ideas you had for the future. However you quickly get bored of talking and try to think of something else to do.

"Hey Flit, remember those simulators back on board the Armstrong?" You ask.

"Yeah?"

"Well I programmed in the data from our suits. Would you like to do a friendly four way MS Simulators match? You, Me, Mellis and Desil?"

"I don't know..." Desil says, rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh don't be such a baby" You say, pulling him into a noggie. "Mellis is more of a sore loser anyway"

"Hey!" Mellis says with a scowl. "Now I'm totally whooping your asses"

"Sure. Normally I'd say I've had enough fighting, but the Armstrong and Diva are probably going to leave once the Federation arrives."

"Sweet! How many rounds?" You ask.

"Just one, Woolf and Millais are having their shotgun wedding in an hour. They want us all too attend." Flit explains.

"Oh how sweet" Yurin says, getting a little wet-eyed.

So what do you want to do Jake? Go play MS Simulator or help out Woolf set up his wedding before the Feds arrive?
>>
>>25053500

well, we Did just suggest a free-for-all between the four of us, so it is time to show the all the true power of THE BLACK DEVIL!!!
>>
>>25053538
Agreed. We should probably make this quick, and then go over to help with that wedding.
>>
>>25053538
And then the sim data somehow corrupts due to someone attempting to program on the fly?
>>
>>25053500
Let's do the sim fight. But then we head over to the wedding. We shall take an actual shotgun with us. Possibly a DODS shotgun, even. We will do this for no other reason than to beat Carlos to the punch.
>>
>>25053500
one quick sim with the king arthur then to the wedding.
>>
>>25053051
The best part is we don't have our Gundam anymore.
>>
>>25053598
>>25053580
>>25053538
>>25053577
"Well I'm sure we can get this over fast enough that we can still help out with the wedding." You say reassuringly.

"Alright, fine lets go." Flit says reluctantly.

"We're setting up in the forest! Don't be late! Oh and wear something nice!" Yurin yells after you, as the four of you pile into a car and take off towards the dock.

After a few minutes of driving and bickering over who's the better driver, Desil insisting he was, you arrive at the Armstrong and enter the ship, finding your way to the MS Simulator pods.

The four of you climb in and start up the machines.

Your limited to one match due to time but what type of Game Mode would you like to try? You've programmed in most of the MS you've gotten data on, so there's a wide selection to choose from now.
>>
>>25053725
Wait, how can Desil drive if his arms are broken? Are his hands not inside casts?
I guess we could do a quick free-for-all, it'd be the fastest thing.
>>
>>25053725
Dad's J-exes lets see how well we can trick three x-rouneds.
>>
>>25053813
Yeah. They can probably predict most of the stuff we can throw at them, but still, some nasty tricks are always useful.
Besides, maybe Jake can now learn how to be unreadable to X-Rounders and slowly turn into a Super Pilot!
>>
>>25053813
>>25053939

Thirding using Dads custom J-exe, Game Mode set for Death-match, Location; Ambat Generator Core. If we are about to go down, we just breach the core and take all the others with us...
>>
>>25054025
And then it turns out Desil picks the Crusader Chimera, because it's so cool, and we have to fight our own Gundam.
>>
>>25053776
His hands aren't in castes, just his arms. This makes it difficult for him to use the controls, but you make sure to have him promise he won't go injuring himself for the sake of a game.

>>25053939
>>25053813
>>25054025
You pick Dad's J-Exes, tricks and all. Flit picks the AGE-1, Mellis chooses the Farsia and Desil picks a the Crusader Gundam, shying away from the Zedas which he used to...well, you know.

You all agree on Team Death-Match and pick Ambat as the location. The map is kind of crappy, but you used the combat logs from everyone else to fill in most of the gaps.

You all start in different locations. Mellis is in the reactor room, your in the hallway maze, Flit is in the hanger and Desil is at the other end of the maze.

What is your plan of action Jake? You've got to make this quick so going all out won't hurt.
>>
>>25054271
Let's hit Flit up first. We'll prove that we don't need a Gundam to beat a Gundam. Plus, he's closest.
>>
>>25054271
Blow up the reactor to make it more interesting.
>>
>>25054317
That could be kind of awesome. We throw this into sudden death immediately. You've got seven minutes to win, everyone! CAN? YOU? DO IT?
>>
>>25054344
We do that by throwing Mellis into the reactor.
>>
(Damn it, I need to mow the lawn. Talk amongst yourselves while I'm gone, shouldn't take too long)
>>
>>25054358
>>25054358
How would the simulator deal with the Farsia, anyway? It's not like it has an X-Transmitter for her to interface with. She might not have made the best choice of unit.
>>
>>25054415
I honestly have no idea. I assume her precognition powers should remain working, but her manipulating those bits would be a bitch.
Maybe the simulator has some sort of helmet for that? I doubt it, considering how X-Rounders are a relatively new phenomenon, but still.

The old Farsia model (the one she's supposedly driving) is really fast - its legs are glued to that pedestal thing.
Its weapons are those bits, a Diffuse Beam Cannon, the Tail Sword, and Beam Vulcans / Beam Sabers. So it's still dangerous as all hell.
>>
>>25054561
I forgot to add that that pedestal thing is its only mode of transportation - the suit itself doesn't have any thrusters or the ability to transform into that dragon thing.
>>
>>25054635
We really need to fix that piece of junk when Jake has the time. Convert the Farsia into a Sazabi or Kshatriya. Should upgrade the Crusader too.
>>
>>25054317

I third the motion to put the map into sudden death mode...

maybe we could get Mellis to blow it for us...
>>
>>25054770
Yeah. Let's get it as close to the Fawn Farsia as we can with the current generation's tech.
>>
>>25054770
Yeah.
We could probably check out that Neural Network thing from the Raven and the data from the Ambat labs, maybe we can combine the two to allow the use of bits in simulations.

On an unrelated note - we could ask Madorna to check out that Black Raven suit. If anyone has the tech and machinery to replicate something like that, it's probably him.
>>
>>25054415
>>25054561
At this rate she'll probably have to go in without crazy psychicness or anything similar

>>25054415
What's the importance of the X-rounder abilities on piloting the thing anyhow?
>>
>>25054845
Need X-Rounder abilities to use Farsia's bits. The things are controlled by psychic waves.
>>
>>25054845
Well, the X-Rounder abilities give the pilot some sort of premonition and eventually the ability to telepathically control machinery and communicate with other pilots.
Since the bits were the Farsia's primary weapon and they were controlled telepathically, not being able to use them is a pain in the ass.
Also, it's possible to highjack other suits if your X-Rounder powers are high enough - originally, that's how the suit was controlled by a remote pilot.
>>
>>25054881
Ahh..I could see why that'd be difficult to replicate without psychic access.
Also making a simulator with the stuff that a crazy pilot was using just smells of bad news.
>>
(There we go! I'm finished, had to move some crap too)
>>25054415
The bits are self-automated, not really controlled by Mellis. The Simulator has it's limits, but it's better then nothing.
>>25054317
>>25054344
>>25054358
"Hey guys!" You exclaim opening the mod console and typing in a few commands.
"Yeah?" Everyone asks almost simultaneously.

"SUDDEN DEATH" And with the press of a button the reactor goes critical.

The base begins to rattle with explosions as the players seek out one another. You fly through the halls seeking out an opponent and run into Desil in your Crusader.

He fires he EM Crossbow at you, and you narrowly dodge the shot, he fires it repeatedly at you, the rapid fire upgrade being considered into the simulation.

You take cover behind a corner. What is your battle plan? 6:30 left on the clock.
>>
>>25055544
Grenade around the corner. All hail the mighty grenade!
>>
>>25055544
Desil is an amazingly powerful X-rounder. We need to disable his suit so he can't get the opportunity to react.
Use the goo grenade.
>>
>>25055544
Lob a flash grenade at him, wait till it explodes, then rush him with the shield in front of you while shooting the DODS rifle.
If he survives that, we corner him, throw a goo grenade in his face and then end him.

Bonus points for doing this instinctively, so he can't get a read on us.
>>
>>25055544
Don't bother with hard kill methods. Just goo him up and leave him for the explosion. Then, as Mellis comes running out, as she was closest to the reactor and should be leaving, launch a bunch of beam chaff to block its weapons and engage with the beam sabers.
>>
>>25055685
This is vidya. Stun/immobilize effects never last for that long.
>>
>>25055616
>>25055743
>>25055593
You pop a flash grenade from off the J-Exes hip and toss it down the hall. Desil fires on the grenade and it explodes in a blinding light, prompting you to fire two goo grenades from DODS Rifle's launcher down the hall.

Desil, even in his blinded state, manages to Dodge one of them before getting hit in the torso with a goo grenade. You fire on him as he rushes forward and rams you into the back wall, throwing you around with the Crusader. Eventually however you manage to punch through the Crusader's armor and destroy it.

Explosions begin to rock Ambat, 4 minutes are left on the clock and Flit appears to have been shot down. Leaving only you and Mellis. She could be at the reactor, or she could be hunting you...

What now Jake?
>>
>>25055990
Open up comms and in a singsong voice say "Mellis, come out and play! Where are you sweetheart? I've missed you."

She's probably hunting us, that's how she rolls, so head back into the maze and dart around, leave traps behind us if possible like proximity activated grenades.
>>
>>25055990
We always have the upper-hand when we play predator, and she plays prey. Move silently and with full alertness. Make sure to see her before she sees us.
>>
So finally the foretold match has come around. If we win this, Mellis has to go steady with us for a whole month!
>>
>>25055990
Grab the EM balista and whatever bolts there are from Desil's suit and head to the mazes. No point in getting crushed by rubble.
She's probably is hunting for us anyway, we might as well tease her into doing something stupid.
"Hey, baldie, did I ever tell you how cute you look when you're angry?"
>>
>>25055990
Time for a showdown at the reactor.
>>
>>25055990
You know, now that I think about it this might not have been the best choice of format when playing with Desil. Kid needs some exposure to cooperation being a viable tactic for success. Two on two would have been better. Oh well, too late now. Let's just make sure to be gracious victors and congratulate him on being able to fight even blind and gooed up.

As for Mellis, I'd assume she isn't at the reactor. We're the one to set traps and wait. She's the hunting type. Plus she got at Flit pretty quickly, and he was on the other side of the map from her. So let's deploy some anti-beam chaff in the tunnels to limit her bits' usefulness.
>>
>>25056253
We're going to be here for a while, we could run a couple more games where Jake and Desil team up and kick everyone's ass.
But yeah, I agree, we need to teach him teamwork and that he can rely on others.

As for Mellis, she probably took Flit out using the bits and her high speed.
If we stick in closed spaces, she will be at an disadvantage due to her weak mobility, and those bits can flank us.
So long as we keep inside and deploy traps and anti-beam chaff, we're safe.
>>
>>25056055
>>25056060
>>25056110
>>25056253
You stick to the maze and lay some crude traps. The simulators limit you to what you can do, but at least you programmed in some proximity grenades that you stick to the wall.

You fire off some Anti-Beam chaff into the hall around you and wait. The seconds click by but as the 2 minute mark hits you here a series of explosions and peek out from the corner to see Mellis's bits triggering your proximity grenades as she sends them ahead of herself.

She rushes forward, managing to dodge your goo grenades as she rushes into melee.

You whip out your sabers and duel wield them, flailing them around as she tries to back you into a corner an stab you. She gets your main camera, but you stab her pedestal, immobilizing and knocking her off balance long enough to cut her down with your sabers.

"Damn it!" Mellis curses as the simulation ends.

"Good work Desil fighting while being gooed up and blinded. One of these days I'm going to have to show you the importance of good team work." You say, tossling his hair.

"Your girlfriend really know how to fight. Overwhelmed me with those bits and forced me up against a wall." Flit says before leaving to help prepare for Woolf's wedding.

"Remember Mellis, one month steaaaaady" You say with a shit eating grin.

"Oh quiet you. We'll worry about that later." She says with a shake of her head.

Now what would you like to do? Woolf's wedding is in half an hour and your supposed to help get ready for it.
>>
>>25056550
Let's get ready for that wedding.
>>
>>25056550
Let's go to the wedding. Bring shotguns. We WILL beat Carlos to the pun.

Seriously, though, could we fab any decorations with the AGE Builder real quick? Like, I don't know, something wolf-themed to go with Woolf's aesthetics?
>>
>>25056550
We need to get some sort of wedding present for him. Anywhere we can find liquor?
>>
>>25056635
A white shotgun with wolves on it?
>>
>>25056668
Perfect.
>>
>>25056550
Get ready. Grab the Crusader and the beam shotgun. Not really. Just get ready. And remember to create and hide a back-up copy of our records about the Vagan/UE later.
>>
>>25056690
Maybe we could make it a wedding gift. I'm not sure if the Builder can create personal weaponry, though.
>>
>>25056635
>>25056668
Normally the AGE Builder isn't used for making something that but you literally whip something up in about 5 minutes. It's nice, stylized and painted. You have no idea how well it works, but all you care about is one uping Carlos.

>>25056843
You also spend 10 minutes making a proper wedding gift. You make it by hand, bend some bend it a ring, polish and shine it, add a left over crystal from one of the Farsia's bits and you have a ring. A little shabby, but a nice ring none the less.

You get to the wedding site near the mansion and see two things. One, Yurin helping everyone into proper clothes making you realize that maybe going to a wedding dressed like you are isn't entirely proper and tha tWoolf looks like he's
about to piss himself.

What do you do first? Consult Woolf or get a tux?
>>
>>25056987
Call dad to get us a tux if he hasn't got here, and go consult Woolf.
>>
>>25056987
Consult Woolf. He may run off otherwise.
>>
>>25056987

Consult tux, get a Woolf
>>
>>25057085

Woolf tux, get a consult.
>>
>>25057100
So the plan is get a tuxedo that looks like a wolf and hire a consultant.
>>
>>25056987
Consult Woolf with shotgun in hand, then get a tux.
>>
>>25057026
>>25057085
>>25057100
>>25057119
You get a tux from Yurin. There pretty big and you have to roll up the legs and sleeves, but it still looks pretty damn nice with your cape. After getting all snazed up you go check on Woolf who looks like he's about to crap himself.

"Hey Woolf, are you excited for the wedding?" You ask happily.

"I would be if I hadn't forgotten something so important..." He mutters.

"What did you forget?"

"A ring..."

"Oh well that shouldn't be too bad..."

"She got me one."

"Fuck..." You think on it and remember your wedding gifts. The Shotgun and the semi-crappy ring that probably won't fit on anything but the pinkie.

What do you do Jake?
>>
>>25057230
Consult Yurin. Maybe she knows where Woolf can get a ring.
>>
>>25057230
Well we just made a ring, so hand that over.
>>
>>25057230
"Here, I brought you these. It's not much, I know, I really didn't have an idea you'd be doing this today, or I'd get you something better."
"Anyway, do you have any idea where you last left the ring? I think our X-Rounders can probably sense where it is and find it."
>>
>>25057230
"Woolf, you really are trying to die before you get married aren't you?

We have two possibilities at this point. First, you try to remember where you left it and we throw X-Rounders at the problem, second you give you a bit of time, some tools, and the approximate size of Millais's ring finger and hopefully I can put something together.

I suggest we go for both, try to cover as many possibilities as we can.

Now stop moping, you're Woolf Enneacle which means you're almost as cool as my Dad, and if you don't stop moping he will rib you about that for the rest of your life. Let's fix this."
>>
>>25057230
give him the ring.
>>
>>25057291
>>25057353
"I didn't LOSE it. I never got one!" Woolf shouts.

"Why not?"

"Well I was busy trying not to die and I got so caught up I forgot about it...What's with the shotgun?"

"Well this is a SHOTGUN wedding isn't it?" You say with a smirk, mentally telling Carlos to go fuck himself. "That and I made you this. I don't know if it's any good buttttt" you fish out the ring and hand it to him.

You snatches the ring and the shotgun from you, leaping into the air. "YES! THANK YOU JAKE MY MAN"

"Woolf don't wave that shotgun around it's..." There is a loud band and the sound of a shattering glass as the 12 gauge round blow a punch bowl into shards.

Woolf and everyone stops dead at the blast, but thankfully no one but the punch bowl was killed.

"Sorry..." you say, breaking the awkward silence. "I didn't think it'd be an authentic shotgun wedding unless, well, you know the shotgun was actually fired?"

Woolf looks a little shocked at first but quickly breaks into laughter, patting you on the shoulder. "The wedding starts in 10 minutes. Why don't you check up on your girl?"

Well Jake?
>>
>>25057500

Yes. We must see how MaG is doing. Maybe introduce Mellis to her...
>>
>>25057541
Indeed. Seconding this.
>>
>>25057541
Oh, you did that when you first started introducing Mellis to everyone. Frankly they can't stand each other. Mellis things Ma G is an over protective sociopathic computer and Ma G thinks Mellis is "Defective" AKA in A.I terms, a bitch.
>>
>>25057606
Damn do I love MaG.
Let's go see Mellis.
>>
>>25057606

Then we must modify Mellis's suit to allow MaG to connect to it...

warning, the following sentence channels the Punnery of Carlos. You have been warned...
They could have a 'Girls-Fight-Out'!
>>
>>25057606
CATFIGHT!
>>
>>25057500
On serious note, go get the lady.
>>
>>25057631
>>25057766
You make a mental note to do so, as well as a mental note to update Mellis's Farsia when you have the chance. Once your not entitled to the Federation for 'crimes' you'll have all the time in the world.

You decide to check on Mellis who is currently wearing a very nice and proper dress and is currently wearing a very realistic wig with long natural red hair making her look like a few various anime characters that are quite popular on 3sama.

What do you wish to say to Mellis?
>>
>>25057846
Laugh at the fact that she is wearing a dress, but then when she's angry compliment how she looks.

She won't know how to react.
>>
>>25057846
"Mellis Rosetta wearing a dress. Now I've seen everything."
She'll probably get angry and throw some sarcastic remark at us wearing a tux 3 sizes too large, so we need to throw her off balance with some sincere compliments till we make her blush.
>>
>>25057846
"Who'd you have to scalp to get that wig so fast? Should I be checking the hospitals for any cases of traumatic head wounds? No, I suppose I don't have time for that. Well, I guess whoever you took it off of is just going to have to learn to live without it. Because you look damn pretty right now, and I don't want to do anything to spoil it. You look amazing, Mellis."
>>
>>25058015
>>25057887
You chuckle a little at you approach her, receiving a glare in response. "Mellis Rosetta wearing a dress. Now I've seen everything."

"Coming from the guy who raided Slenderman's wardrobe you shouldn't be talking" Mellis replies with a scowl.

"Hey I didn't say it was a bad thing. I love the dress and the wig makes you look like Asuka from Evangelion"

Mellis pauses for a moment in thought, smiling when she realizes what anime your referring too. "Well thanks, I guess. I just hope we get to eat soon. Having my head cut over for the second time makes a girl hungry doesn't it." She looks at the clock, five minutes till the wedding starts.

Suddenly Carlos walks in carrying a shotgun. "Hey guys, Shotgun wedd-Oh son of a bitch" he mutters seeing Woolf holding your shotgun.

You smile, silently fist pumping over one-uping Carlos. However maybe you should ask Mellis some questions. She is going to have to go steady with you for a whole month, yet you have no idea how she feels about Marriage of kids...

What do you want to do Jake?
>>
>>25058377
Ask her how she feels about adoption.
>>
>>25058377
Wow, marriage? Kids? We're not ready for that, we're not even dating. Yet.
Let's first establish what we're on, and take it slow from there. After the wedding, no need to rush her or anything.

For now, let's just have fun. We're still 15.
>>
>>25058450
Well a time skip is eminent, so I see this a influencing the events that occur.
>>
>>25058377
>yet you have no idea how she feels about Marriage

That's a bit of a big step from "finally acknowledged mutual feelings". For now let's just ask her what she plans to do once Dr. Spriggan says she's free to leave. Being kidnapped by mad scientists has got to change your plans for your future. It's hard to go steady with a girl if she's off on another colony from us doing her own thing.
>>
>>25058377
Talk to her. "It looks like it's gonna be a nice wedding. I have to admit, from what I know about him I never expected Woolf to settle down. He seemed like the sort who planned on living fast, dying young, and leaving a nice looking corpse, and here he is making a commitment for the rest of his life.

Do you think this happens to every wild and crazy guy? They just one day decide to get a bit quieter, get married, have kids? It's a hard thought to process.

Mellis, just wondering, what are you planning on doing after this? What are your life plans?"
>>
>>25058377
Getting ahead of ourselves here, ain'tcha? Let's just start with how she wants the Farsia remodeled. Talking about kids or marriage now is likely to scare Melis off. Then again, Jake's actions over the past few weeks must have made it clear to Melis just how serious he is about a relationship.
>>
>>25058551
Agreed, it's a bit out of nowhere. And all our effort will be for naught if we scare her off with such big questions.
Better we take it slow, enjoy having her around as a friend, talk about modding the Farsia and generally chilling out.

We should probably ask her how she feels, what are her plans after she gets home, and so on. No need to rush it.

>>25058551
You decide not to freak her out over crap even you don't want at the moment. You instead decide to bug her about how she wants the Farsia to be remodeled.

"I'm glad you asked" she says, pulling out a crude drawing. "I want that pedestal removed and replaced by proper thrusters on the body, I want a focused beam cannon in the chest, a total of 18 bits, better sensors and a longer tail sword that doesn't feel like a toothpick" she says in one solid breath.

Comments on her design choices?

>>

Tell her the beam chest will only fly if she screams BREAASTOO BURRNN.
>>
>>25058627

"The Black Raven's suit had some interesting Hi-Mobility gear, maybe that might suit you better than standard thrusters... I'm not sure how focused the beam cannon could be with the size constraints, though at least it should be able to blind sensors... and the tail should be simple enough to do, maybe I could add a weapons mount on it similar to the Crusaders Chimera Cowl..."

also, curse and grumble about the 'bits'...
>>
>>25058627
Suggest using the leg tech from the Defurse
to improve the legs, and question on whether she can handle eighteen bits.
>>
>>25058627
"Sounds like a nice design. Though I think we should do some tests before we decide on number of bits. I don't really know enough about X-Rounder abilities to tell what would be too heavy a load. Flit can probably help, he made a bit system for the AGE-1.

"Sweet drawing, by the way. Though I'm a bit surprised by the colors. Red's always been your preferred color scheme in the simulators, after all. Trying to mix things up?"
>>
>>25058627
"Huh. You really thought this out, didn't you?"
"Let's see. Removing the pedestal and installing thrusters? Can be done, but it requires heavy modifications. Possibly the hardest part of the job. Better sensors and the tail sword? Easily done. The bits? I'll see what I can do, but we don't have any reliable data on them, so I can't tell you anything specific about that. The focused beam cannon? I'll see what I can do, the size of that thing could be a problem. It's a good design, overall. Why is it not red, though?"
"May I suggest adding the Excalibuster in the tail? And yes, that's it real name."
>>
>>25058627
"Dual chest beam cannons?"
>>
>>25058627
Time to go full engineer.

"Yeah, that pedestal bullshit was stupid. Will replace with wing cowl thingy once I get a handle on the Black Raven's propulsion, I mean they're intricate as hell what with nano-scale plasma stores in all of the little feathers but allow for insane maneuverability and speed. For now vernier thrusters based on Vagan tech.

Are you sure you can handle 18 bits? That's a pretty big step up. I'll probably have to call in Flit for help on those, stupid X-Rounder bullshit ooh look at me I can control laser beams with my mind.

Sensors I can handle, better sword I can handle, DODS beam cannon is easy.

Feels like it's missing something, lacks attack capabilities against things with defenses against beams, requires coordination between bits to deal with any armor that's reasonably thick, no versatility with weapon type. One trick pony, good trick, but only one. Be like Dad, have more than one trick. Beam chaff eats your face off as does ABC and Electromagnet armor.

Modify bits to allow for using thrusting and control patterns for different weapons, solid kinetic penetrators, missiles, grenades and weird ammunition, beams boring. Replace beam sword with solid, base on Excalibur or Excalibuster, scaled down for little girl robot."
>>
>>25058627
How many bits/funnels can she handle? Needs some head vulcans. And a shield. And missiles. And grenades. Lots of grenades. The Vagan design is likely to draw fire from everyone else. Probably better to scrap the Farsia and build a new MS. Replacing the reactors and thrusters leads to replacing wiring and fuel storage. That's a lot to do to a frame. Best to start over rather than refit the Farsia.
>>
>>25058704
What color would you suggest the purple parts be?
>>
>>25058660
"Power isn't worthy killing your own mobility for. besides the bits are excellent weapons. But I'd be happy to look at any designs you have that don't sacrifice my mobility.
>>25058704
"I ran out of red pens, so I left it white. I think I can handle the same amount of bits I could before, but if your going to go all security blanket on me I'll do whatever tests you need me to."

>>25058793
"Different types of bits? Interesting. I'd like that. I don't know if it's possible, your the egghead when it comes to the technical stuff, I'm just a concept girl."
>>25058820
"I'm fine with a refit, as long as it looks similar, I'm cool with it." Mellis gives a shrug. "Well it looks like the wedding is start. Anything else you want to get out before it starts?" Mellis asks.
>>
>>25058907
"I'd ask if you're sure that you want to pilot one of these things and risk your life out there, but that'd only start a fight."
"I mean, you have the chance to go back and have a normal life, why don't you take it? I don't want something bad to happen to you."
>>
>>25058907
Hmm, not many designs outside of AGE that use that many bits/funnels. Make sure the hands can use our weapons. Add mounting points on the skirt armor for magazines or E-caps. Add a shield.
>>
>>25058907
"Just that I'm really happy that you're here with me. I never expected that you'd be here for any part of this trip, but now that you are I can't think of a better way to end it. Come on. I don't know why, but for some reason the design of that MS pisses me off. Weird. where in the Hell does it store 18 bits though? In that strange backpack thing?
>>
>>25059157
AG Vagan bits are different from UC bits; they're like tiny balls of beam energy or something.

...

Idea. Jake could pioneer such a technology in between Gen 1 and 2, but it gets stolen by a Vagan spy, eventually resulting in the Zeydra and Khronos.
>>
>>25059378
We could make our bits nanomachines reverse-engineered from the Raven. So, yeah, it's possible.
>>
>>25059378
Later on they are, but 1st gen bits look like UC Zeon bits. I think that design is 3rd gen, but we're still on 1st gen tech for bits/funnels.
>>
>>25059157
(Oh that was just Mellis's request and her crude drawing. She doesn't know a thing about designing. There are tons of problems with the design, I just based it all of the picture I found and what Mellis's tastes are.)

>>25059022
>"Just that I'm really happy that you're here with me. I never expected that you'd be here for any part of this trip, but now that you are I can't think of a better way to end it. Come on. Let's go take our seats. I wouldn't want to distract from Millia killing Woolf for giving her a ring I made for him half an hour ago."

"He forgot the ring? Good job saving his ass." Mellis says as you take a seat, the chairs filling up as you sit down and stare at the large tree that the marriage will be held over. Liz stands under the tree holding a tablet.

Woolf and his best men, Flit and Largan stand up front, with the groom closest to Liz. Woolf stands, shotgun and wedding ring in hand as he happily waits for his groom who soon comes out of the mansion being escorted by ushers; bridesmaids in reverse order, with the maid of honor, Yurin being last.

Millais is dressed in a prim and proper wedding gown, apparently once owned by Alzack's late wife. You can see him sitting in the crowd, looking quite happy about the whole situation. He may not be one for talk, but it's obvious he's grown quite fond of large gatherings at his home.

Millais arrives under the tree with Woolf, Liz standing between them. Your curious to see how Liz will do this not being able to speak until you hear the proceedings being spoken off by a text-to-speech program. You and Mellis have to bite your lips not to laugh, as romantic as this is it's hard not to find it funny.
(Cont)
>>
>>25059442
As you listen to the proceedings, your memory goes back to history class and about a lot of the Pre-AG cultural stuff. A long time ago something called 'religion' was extremely prominent and the belief in a higher being or many higher beings was very common, so much so it dominated the thinking and collective of millions of people. Apparently groups still exist back on Earth, but with the advent of space travel and the development of space travel, it slowly held less and less power over the populous. The proceeding is more of a formal on than a religious one. An important ceremony about the joining of two people in love.

The part you were waiting for comes up as the bride and groom present their rings and kiss.

Everyone claps and Millais throws a Flower Bouquet into the crowd, which promptly lands directly in Mellis's lap.

You begin to laugh and Mellis start punching you in the shoulder in retaliation. Food is served and drinks are brought out, good old wine this time instead of beer.

It's time to party again Jake, what's your first order of buisness?
>>
>>25059549
Congratulate the newlyweds first. Get some food for Mellis, she complained how hungry she was a minute ago.
After that, let's go see Flit, we haven't really talked about what happened to him and the Diva pilots during the battle for Ambat.
>>
>>25059549
Get some wine, congratulate the bride and groom, wish them happiness together for the rest of their long lives.

After that spend some time with Mellis, get some food, and socialize the hell out of people.
>>
>>25059549
Congratulate the newlyweds and grab some food for Jake and Melis.

>>25059442
I just couldn't figure out where to put 18 bits when the Farsia only carried 5. Nothing short of the Kshatriya or the Quin Mantha can carry that many bits or funnels the size of the 1st gen bits.
>>
>>25059610
>>25059615

>>
>>25059610
>>25059615
You grab some wine and go over to Woolf and Mellis.

"Congratulations! Here's too a happy marriage and underage drinking!" You say, raising a glass.

"Thanks. I'm glad for your 'presents'" Woolf says with a wink.

"Just try to avoid giving my husband loaded weaponry ever again, OK?" Millais says with a nervous smile.

"Alright, alright. So what are your future plans?" You ask as none-invasive as possible.

"Well I think we're going to get a home here and maybe have a kid or two but..." Woolf scratches the back of his head.

"We're going to continue our military careers" Millais states firmly.

"Well it's nice to know your committed to your jobs as you are each other" you state, unsure who this will work out but remaining as optimistic as possible.

You leave the newlyweds to their own devices and grab some food and more booze for your and Mellis. You sit down and begin to chow down. You see Yurin and Flit slow dancing on the dance floor, the other pilots are supporting the nearby wall and hitting the booze.

Mellis seems pretty happy now that she's gotten some food in her. Now what would you like to do? Dance? Chat? Mock Carlos for failing at his punster schemes?

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>25060050

"Well there's always the bridge bunnies and Dorthy..." you suggest with a smile.

The three's faces light up. Hell even you forgot there was a bridge crew until recently, an all female bridge crew. The three leave but you rib Carlos about beating him to the pun.

"Can't you see I'm always two steps ahead of you?"

You chat with Mellis about how the Wedding cake is mostly frosting and is pretty overrated before asking her out to dance, doing a two-step just to spite Carlos.

"Meh, we might as well. First time I've been to a wedding" Mellis says with a shrug as you led her to the dance floor and begin to show her your moves. She seems pretty impressed because the last time you attempted to dance with her you ended up breaking your ankle (The floor was wet!).

You continue to dance, drink and have some fun, but slowly the party begins to wind down, everyone having fun and getting more progressively drunk. Anything specific you'd like to do or do you want to get ready for the Federations arrival in an hour?

I believe the performance of the Light Thrusters was that they had less total thrust for a given power input, but had much less heat production and were easier to control. A hybrid design using the Light Thrusters and the Black Raven's super engines could make for a really fast and maneuverable design.

Yes. In the spinoff series Evangelion ANIMA, Asuka becomes partially fused with Unit 02. Which means her mecha grows curves. You can't really see it as that resolution, but it also has blonde hair and lipstick. To top off the fetish bait with some lolicon, a problem with the fusion means Asuka is reduced to a childlike form when not in her Eva. Because it's just not Evangelion without some weird psycho-sexual bullshit.

Pissing off the Federation before they release you and your Dad would be a very bad idea. Especially if you want to follow Flit's suggestion of joining the Earth Federation Military to clean it of its corruption then you might not want to make a bad impression.

You've already hidden all the people and things you don't want the Federation to see, the record has been cleaned of various events and everyone has their accounts straightened out for the trial. Grodek has been returned to his cell aboard the Diva and everything appears to be in the clear.

It's an hour before they come and the party is dying down.

What do you wish to do Jake?

Maybe Flit should come too.

You help clean up after the party and return to the ship, getting everyone, save for Tim who is asleep and in the infirmary with a set of broken ribs, for the Federations arrival. The hanger is clean, everyone's uniforms are neat and strapping and the ship, while still being repaired, looks very nice.

Grodek is ready to be handed over and Frizzle informs you a standard 3-ship escort fleet is coming to take all of them back to Big Ring for the trial, where you and Dad will be released, rewards and medals will be given out and Grodek will be sentenced.

The ships arrive and men are sent aboard to pick up Grodek. "Congratulations on your success Captain Frizzle. We'll need you and the Diva to accompany us back to Big Ring."

"Alright, lead the way"

You are taken to Big Ring along with everyone else. Your stuck there for about a week, a week filled with waiting, boring questions and personally rehearsed testimonies. It's quite obvious that Grodek is in the right, everyone watching seems to get that. However in the end he's sentenced to life in prison with a chance of parole.

You, along with many other members of the Diva and Armstrong are given special medals commemorating your service in the "Battle of the Bat". Frizzle and many other members are given promotions, your offered a deal to join the Federation which your given time to consider.

Your left with the Crusader Gundam, it's wears and the AGE Builder and your freedom. You leave Big Ring with a feeling of relief and hope for the future.

The Zalam/Euba Alliance became a permanent agreement with Ract Elfamel acting as the leader of the groups. Fairdain went from a warring shanty town to a thriving, peaceful colony with strong ties to Minsry. Many found new homes and jobs in Minsry and slowly the homeless population living underground was raised to their feet and integrated back into society.

Minsry retained its independence and natural beauty while growing into a more populated and thriving colony. It’s still sparsely populated to keep the natural beauty of the colony intact, but it’s grown stronger and more important. Fairdain and Minsry moved to a safer location within the Earth sphere away from the Vagan’s advanced. The two established economic and military ties, forming a shared defense force to ensure the colonies safety.

The Madorna workshop thrived as the years went on. Madorna put the data he gained from you to good use and won the bid to develop the first Federation X-Rounder use mobile suit. The Pioneer Alpha, using the X-Rounder data the Federation had gained from Dr. Spriggans and the Vagan X-Rounder mobile suit from him (which he received from you in a trade) along with the base of one of Woolfs new custom mobile suits. He made sure his weapons and upgrades didn’t fall into Vagan hands and retained a good relationship with you, Woolf and Flit over the years. .

I think the S Gundam should be the standard form for the Crusader Mk 2. Maybe make an NT-D attachment for dealing with X-Rounders. I want to keep those damn incoms! The beam smartgun is more powerful than the magnum as well, if Gundam Wiki is accurate.

Why do they give those suits such a large crotch area? I thought this was a children's show.

Flit continued on in the military, striving to stop the Vagan from hurting anyone else and secretly trying to change the Federation for the better. He spent every moment he could with Yurin and eventually, the two fell in love and married one another, living in the mansion that Yurin’s father owned. They had two beautiful children, Akito and Yurika. Eventually Flit made Vice Admiral and began taking a larger part in the Federations plans against the Vagan. Thanks to your help, he wants to stop the Vagan to protect his loved ones and the loved ones of others, not for mindless blood thirsty revenge.

Desil and Yurin grew up happily together. Yurin grew closer to her father with the help of Desil and found out he was actually a very good man despite his lack of communication skills. Desil learned how to be a kinder more understanding person. He was able to live a happy and eventful childhood away from battlefield that his retainers had been preparing him for. He became obsessed with fantasy, mobile suits and LARPing. Even in his high school years he kept in touch with you, thanking you for what he did for him. However he was still haunted by his memories of his home and the plotting of the Vagan. Knowing others like him were suffering, he joined the Federation military under his new alias Desil L'Ciel. He became a mobile suit pilot and winded up helping to create the Federations first X-Rounder Mobile Suit Team which he named “The Magnificent 7” .

Captain Frizzle received most of the credit in planning the attack on Ambat and for her ‘efforts’ she was promoted back to Admiral. She was somewhat saddened her rise back to her original rank was due to Grodek’s own plan and sacrifice, but she was indebted to Grodek for allowing her influence the Federation military for the better, with her status of Admiral returned to her she began to slowly remove the incompetent staff below her .
>>
>>25061382
Dorthy Ann rose in rank and became Captain of the Armstrong, renaming the ship “Magic Schoolbus” in memory of Captain, now Admiral, Frizzle. She swore to take care of the ship for Admiral Frizzle as she understood her sentimental attachment to it more than anyone else.

Liz stayed on as the chief engineer for the Magic Schoolbus, turning down the chance at a promotion. She decided to stick aboard the ship and bide her time until she could take a shot at becoming a mobile weapon researcher for the Federation. Eventually gaining it with her work on the Pioneer Alpha with Madorna.

Ralphie, Arnold, Tim and Carlos gained immense reknown for their struggle at the Battle of the Bat and went from laughing stocks to aces. Ralphie, Arnold and Tim went on many battles against the U.E. together but in the end requested to stay with the Magic Schoolbus. Carlos however took a request to lead the Federations first team of X-Rounders. This team later became known as the “Magnificent 7”

Woolf and Millais got married shortly after arriving back at Minsry. Neither had any real family to speak of, so instead they invited the crew of the Armstrong and Diva to attend. It was a small, happy wedding. Afterwards Woolf and Millais got a house in Minsry but stayed in the military. Woolf went on to become a Mobile Suit Team leader and Millais became captain of the Diva. They attempted to have a son…but an unfortunate event stopped that from happening. However the two adopted instead, a 3 year old boy named Asemu…
>>
>>25061399
Emily went on to become a doctor and a rather successful one at that. She seemed to appear to avoid any kind of relationship however and kept in contact with Flit and his slowly growing family. She became pregnant suddenly and gave birth to a child named Asemu. When asked who the father was, she stated it was a one night stand with someone and she hadn’t intended to get pregnant. She kept the child and intended to raise it…until she was found dead at the base of the stairs in her home, neck broken most likely from an unfortunate fall. Asemu, only three, was orphaned and due to the disappearance of Vargas, orphaned. Thankfully he was adopted by Woolf and Millais.

Hogan and Captain Blackmarsh became legends back in the Graveyard, slowly using their fame to unite the Pirates and form a single clan. Bisidian. They retained a bad relationship with the Federation, but were active fighters against the Vagans and weren’t afraid to lend the Federation, all while seeking to achieve their own financial goals.

Grodek was sentenced to life in prison for his crimes. However he was approached by a man shortly after being placed in his cell. Supposedly this man made him an offer and the next day, the cell was empty. Grodek was stated as having died of dysentery 10 months into prison, but you and anyone else with half a brain and come half-descent investigative skills learn that this his bullshit and that Grodek is alive somewhere…

But what about you? What will you do?

Will you pursue a career in the Federation like you agreed to with Flit? Or strike out independently?

Will you pursue a relationship with Mellis and have kids? Or stay single?

What will you develop from the Crusader Gundam? After all if you’re considering kids they should have something of their own. Or will you just pass it down?

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>25061399
>renaming the ship “Magic Schoolbus”

YES. This alone makes Generation One have a good end.
>>
>>25061411
I'm not sure I like the implications of what happened to Emily. From an out of character standpoint that makes Flit seem kind of like a huge bastard. I hope it's something entirely different and I'm just reading too much into things.
>>
>>25061419
continue with the federation... for now, and
continue our relationship with Mellis
>>
>>25061419
-Strike out independently. Maybe help out Minsry and Fardain

-Pursue relationship with Mellis and have kids.

-Have kids design their own Gundams. Jake's not parting from the Crusader-2 and MaG!
>>
>>25061399

What. I wonder what this means.
>>
>>25061520
>>25061411
Oh.

Shit.
>>
>>25061419
Strike out. Make a mercenary force that doesn't belong to any group, but fights for those who can't.
And of course we're marrying Mellis, but Ma G will still be our partner. After all she needs to be taught love.
As to the Gundam the kids will be taught engineering, and encouraged to make their own suits.
>>
>>25061419
Go with the Feds for now. Best resources and the best opportunity for our kids...

...Which of course we will want to have with Mellis.

We'll keep the Crusader around. It will have its time again one day. In the meantime, let's design the hybrid Gundam and the Crusader Mk. 2.
>>
>>25061496
>>25061573
While independence is good, will it really be the best profession for our kids? More stability is the best way to raise children, and mercenary work isn't going to provide stability.

We could work out a deal with the Feds to give us some freedom to tinker and keep the peace. They might be flexible if we're persistent (and we are).
>>
Jake helped improve the Federation tech by developing advanced software and hardware for the future mobile suits in an effort to minimize causalities.
Newer suits use the Crocker OS which is a small combination of multiple smaller AIs that are linked together and drastically improve their overall performance.
Due to his "independent researcher" status granted to him by Flit, Jake was allowed to experiment with Vagan, Pirate and Fed tech.

Zarth became close with Minsry and Fardain and with their help, large restoration projects began.
Zarth went through a large restoration period, when old factories began working again, new laboratories and schools were founded.
One of the flight schools is run by Jack Crocker, retired Ace pilot.

How does this sound so far?
>>
>>25061667

Also we built a treehouse in one of the trees we and Mellis planted when we were kids which we promised to do after planting it 20 years prior.
>>
>>25061419
Well, we're definitely pursuing a marriage with Mellis. We've made it pretty clear how we feel for her, and would be a right git to back out after all that. Especially if she keeps the red hair by dying it after it grows back. Rawr.

As for our career? We should stay with the Federation. But we use the somewhat loose hold the Federation has on its military to advance some of our own agendas. Nothing approaching overt defiance, but we have to do something. I'm thinking we should try to become a special liaison working with the independent colonies and dealing with the Bisidian pirates. Officially, anyway. But we'll be using our role to maintain contact with the allies we've made and to build our own support base unconnected to the Federation at large. Helping fortify the outlying colonies against intrusion and attack should make a good excuse. We can also keep track of any Vagan defectors and informants we acquire and hide away. Meanwhile we'll also work to further increase our "hero of Ambat" reputation by still serving as an ace and fighting the Vagans. Use the prestige from that to acquire support from within the Federation, so we can find the people who still have principles and help raise them up to positions where they can do good work.

As for the technological development? Well, we've got like, twenty five years before the next arc. Obviously we won't be able to keep our current rate of advancement up, as it's founded on reverse-engineering, but we should still get some nice toys built. I'd like magnetic accelerator weapons to become a common weapon, out of their versatility and effectiveness against EM Armor. Counters for X-Rounder technology would also be a natural result of our research. Finally, the miniaturized reactors, fuel cell scales and thrusters from the Black Raven are an amazing potential upgrade. We should definitely get to work on integrating those into the next generation of MS.
>>
>>25061667
Maybe change that to independent contractor. Which basically means that they hire him to work on occasion.
As to the retired part, this boy's not stopping until the world is put to rights.
>>
>>25061419

I think that Jake would continue his own line of research, Possibly a combination of Hi-Mobility Suits for Mellis and Mobile Armors. Maybe even try and make AI controlled bits due to him not being a X-rounder...

Jake would defiantly persue a relationship with Mellis, though they would often disagree over primary attributes to suit design and who saved who's ass in each of the 'live combat testing' (Gotta find out how effective they are against real opponents, so why not take care of some Vagen while their at it?)

Any children they may have would be raised amongst the various machines, equipment and the AIs, thusly developing a natural affinity with technology, both conceptual and practical.

Jake would often encounter the Black Raven during testing, and each time, one would be defeated but the other unable to 'finish' the other either due to suit conditions, approaching forces or simply mercy. Jake would make jokes about it being a kind of 'play-date'.

It is probable that Jake traded his tested designs with Madorna in exchange for more resources and specialist equipment...

Mellis is liable to research and develop her implants under the pretense of "May as well make the damn thing work for me", resulting in her making Jake make better Bit variants for her to use.
>>
>>25061749
He's talking about Jack, as in dad. Jake ain't retiring.
>>
So what the hell happened with Travis Touchdown?
>>
>>25061667
Sounds good. Software advances would help the average pilot keep up with X-Rounder precognition and clairvoyance. And Jack taking on a teaching role is a fun image.

>>25061710
Yes. If this was an actual anime, the shot of the tree with our kids playing in it would be the perfect way to start the next generation arc. That detail has to go in, for pure AWWW's sake.
>>

Maybe rather than Federation military, Jake becomes an affiliated researcher and pilot. Not formally part of the Federation, but working along side of it.

You strike out independently for a few years, helping Fairdain build and train their military forces while assisting Madorna on a couple of jobs now and again for some cash. You also give Carlos and the Magnificent 7 Eventually however you enroll in the Federation military and by the time Flit makes Vice Admerial, you make Captain of a Mass-Production Diva ship. Thanks to your connections with Flit you also act as an independent researcher, creating and maintaining a Test Team that experiments with Vagan, Pirate and Fed tech, allowing you to help the progression of Federation technology while keeping the best stuff for yourself. Giving you immense freedom and plenty of time with your children while all the while benefiting from the Federations many advantages.

>>25061667
You settle down and have a beautiful son and a few months after that after that, a beautiful baby girl. You love them, play with them, nerd out with them and encourage them and eventually build that damn treehouse in your backyard like you promised Mellis you would.

Your home colony of Zarth is moved to Minsry and Fairdain as well, restoration projects turn the industrial wasteland into a thriving factory colony again. Dr. Jones manages to turn the Zarth Museum into a true marvel, making new discoveries and breakthroughs in the understand of what went on in the Colony Nation Wars. The Bastard is still alive today and as sharp as ever.

The Vagan Scientists and Doctors, including Zeek, eventually come over to your side after a couple of years and begin to work for you in the Minsyr colony as researchers.

Mellis stays by your side when she can, now sporting red hair your daughter also styles her hair into. She fights by your side but mostly watches the kids and harasses you about spending time with them.

Jake's dad is retired, not Jake.

But yeah, Jake is an independent contractor, and is given protection by the Feds for all the work he's done for them.
Additional modification to the MS he got the Feds to accept in their new production are that panoramic view, AIs, targeting systems and rail weaponry.
Secretly, he's been researching ways to save Vagans from that radiation sickness, and gets a lot of help from Zeek.

Jake and Mellis got married eventually after YEARS of playing hard-to-get and now have a son, Dirk, who is mostly like his mom.
He adores Jake, but goddamnit, dad, stop driving me to school in the Crusader and giving hot-blooded speeches.
He's the calm, cool and friendly kid, who loses his shit whenever he feels like he's not in control. A tech wiz like his dad.
This is based on that thread we had a couple days back on how Jake's kids are going to be like.
And after that, a daughter who is exactly like him.

Travis Touchdown met up with Rysis, who soon escaped and disappeared into the ether a year after her capture. The last you heard of him he was acquiring a custom mobile suit from Madorna and acting as an Assassin for Hire.

Your father eventually did retire and became a drill instructor for the Minsry, Zarth and Fairdain forces. Your mother and father still live happily with you in your expanded but modest home in Zarth.

>>25061904

What do you name your Son and Daughter?

What do you name your ship and the name of your test team?

What kind of technology do you research?

What kind of suits are your children making for themselves?
>>

The boy should be named Jeff. Keeping with the short and simple "J" names that come with the males in our family.

Not sure what the girl should be named though...
>>
>>25062111
John sounds better. And fits the JC thing we got going on.
>>
>>25062138
why don't we name our son james
and our daughter jessy
>>
>>25061904
We shall Name our ship Camelot and team Knights of the sphere.
>>
>>25062076
The ship: Ma G, since we've probably integrated it with her systems by now.
The test team is named the "Devil's Advocates"

We would be researching Pre-AG tech, obviously. We work with figuring out anti-X-rounder tehniques. Also, Ma G is going to be invaluable for making our networked AI idea work.

>>25062157
Oh, goddamn it. Now we HAVE to do this. it's too brilliant to pass up.
>>
>>25062076
Roland and Scarlet for the names.
The ship is named the Durandal, and the team will be the Steel Legion.
The technology researched will be extreme mobility mobile suits and more combat feasible mobile armors.
Roland's suit will be long ranged to fit with his 'cool' demeanor, but it will still have cqc weapons. Scarlet's suit will focus on fighting up close due to her combative nature she picked up from her mother.
>>
>>25062157
Because we're not that evil.

As for what we're researching, AIs based on MaG.
How does King Arthur sounds for the name of the ship? In memory of the MA we lost ages ago.
>>
>>25062076
You know, with that orange red hair, we should name the girl Jackie or Jaclyn. Name the son Gilliam. Jackie and Gil.
We should name the ship the Durandal. Maybe King Arthur's horse or Excalibur's sheath?
As for tech, I'd say high speed and mobility. We always got caught up in situations where we need to book it and that will be damn important. Maybe a modular form of cloaks for smaller parts of the body?
As for our kids, we should have them focus on teamwork. The sort where they can compliment each other and provide support. Jackie gets the melee, mobility and the like, Gil gets long range, armor, and specialty gear.
>>
>>25062195 for the names,

Though;
Research High Mobility Mobile Suits, Assault Class Mobile Armours and AI bits.

Would make sense for our Son to favor the MAs and our Daughter to prefer the Hi-Mobility MSs...
>>
>>25062076
The boy, name him James, the girl is Gwendolyn or just Gwen.

Our ship is named "It's One of Ours Sir!" or the "The Laughing Demon" depending on which piece of documentation you look at. Our Test Team is named "The Round Table" but has picked up the nickname "The Witch's Brood" as Mellis spends a lot of time leading it.

We focus on Pre-AG Tech, solid projectile weapons, reverse engineering everything from the Black Raven's thrusters and making lesser versions mass producible and replicating it in many ways for our advanced stuff. Lots of modular cloaks, cowls, and Mobile Armors, and a tendency to use things other than beam weapons. Also, lots of defenses against beam weapons, like Electromagnetic Armor because we're jerks.
>>
>>25062195
Scratch that. Instead of Durandal I suggest Avalon for the ship's name.
>>
>>25062192
Agreed with everything but the ship being named "Ma G". MA G is integrated with the Gundam, but that doesn't make its name be "Ma G". Maybe we should keep with the SDRAWKCAB naming schtick and have the ship be the "Ivad"?
>>
>>25062198
Oh come on, with all the referances to other tv shows how can we not do that.. which reminds me... because flit named his kids akito and yurika, does that mean incest romance subplot?

AIs and pre-AG tech for research.
Ship name: Avalon.
Team name: Crusaders. Or Devil's advocates, that one sounds awesome.
Kids: John and Gwen.
>>
>>25062076
Tech research? Anti X-Rounder tech. Psycommu and funnel/bit tech. Maybe Jake can develop that quasi-psycommu system from Sentinel. Improvements in missile and EM tech. Improve beam weapon tech, especially E-caps. Re-introduce Mobile Armors. God, there's a LOT Jake can do in 10-20 years.
>>
>>25062076
Wait...how did we get a blonde son? Is he dying his hair, too? With these character portraits it might be easier to say that Mellis actually is a red-head, and she just was dying it black for some reason.
>>
>>25062280
How about his full name being Johnathan with it being shortened to John?
>>
>>25062282
With the amount of stuff he got done in only 2 months, we might as well make everything.
>>
>>25062254
As for our children.

Our daughter is the hotblooded insane one of the two, she's taken the Crusader design and ramped it up to eleven, focusing on its durability, adding speed to it, and melee capabilities, replacing the Excalibur with a giant fucking murder axe, putting on a lot of thrusters and mobility and has a massive shield.

Our son ended up a tricky bastard who focuses on cloaking ordinance, holographic technology, traps, tricks, surprise weapons, and extremely powerful long range weapons. Is an X-Rounder like his mother and uses his Bits to attack from very strange angles with a diverse set of weaponry to keep the enemy from guessing where the enemy is.
>>
>>25062296
Agreed. And her name is Gwendolyn, in loving memory of Mellis' dead mom.

>>25062302
Yeah. We should focus on AIs, researching as much as we can about pre-AG tech, and creating hybrid tech that we can use.
>>
>>25062076
Name the kids Jessie and James. You know you want to.

Ship's name:Avalon

Test Team Name: Devil's Advocates

Recessive gene. It's natural.

>>25062332
Black, but we were a carrier of the blonde gene, as was Mellis.

>>25062325
Nah, man, John and Gwen.
>>
>>25062357
Fair enough. Rysis being a natural redhead would make more sense from the genetic cross, because then she's be double-recessive for the blonde hair gene as well.

So it's just the red hair that's from dye? Because that trait is dominant, as far as I remember. Though dark enough red-brown hair could look pretty black, I guess.
>>
Doesn't seem like we're in much agreement regarding the names... of anything.

Random note, we are the most embarrassing father ever. On the up side we let them play with military grade weapons and manufacturing gear when they were little kids, took them to school in a MS, and have threatened bullies with getting thrown into orbit.

Raymond and Robin for the son and daughter, respectively.

Raymond, an X-Rounder, has a preference for Transformable mobile suits, focusing on superior firepower, and keeping the enemy at a safe distance. Despite that, he is also a capable melee fighter, with a preference for a dual beam saber fighting style. His color scheme preference leans more towards the classic white and blues of the original Gundam.

Robin, who, unlike her brother, is NOT an X-Rounder, is all about charging in, blowing shit up, and flying back out. Like her brother, she likes transformable suits, but she'd rather have something that's showy, yet functional, and FAST AS FUCKING HELL.

Also, I'd be all for the Crusader 2 series being based off of the Delta Gundam. Jake's Crusader 2, which would be the original, would be the Delta Plus lookalike, Raymond would get the Gundam Delta Kai, and Robin would get the Delta Gundam.

This, so much.
Also, random note - Jake is an Ace Pilot now, right?

Have we popularized mass driver weapons? Because those should definitely get a mass production. Nothing like an EM Crossbow to beat EM Armor.

We should probably stick to playing as a male protagonist, since that's the primary demographic of this quest (unless I'm horribly, horribly mistaken).

We're playing as our son.
Also, for the love of God, make it John and Gwen, I won't be able to stop snickering at the names.

That could be fun, yeah. Not enough female Gundam protagonists. Maybe we'll swap off between playing both of them, with occasional stints back as Jake.

I'm already snickering at "XCOM".

We've spent the last 18 threads in a ship captained by Ms. Frizzle. It's too late to protest dumb references at this point. Just learn to love them for the silliness that they are.

I'm for making Scarlet the X-Rounder who is quite aggressive and hot-blooded, while Dirk is the cool tactician of the two.

>>
>>25062652
We're a very good pilot, and have as we've gotten older relied more and more on pulling off cheap tricks like our father and hiding hidden surprises in everything we make. Because we're a jerk.

Our children have picked up some of these habits as we have drilled them in the fact that fighting fair is for stupid people since the day they were born.

We also taught them to expect trickery by stealing their cookies when they weren't looking. So they learned to lie, bluff, and cheat. They've gotten good poker faces by now.

Your son and daughter are "co-presidents" of their school's Junior MS Team. Your daughter currently has the hots for the new transfer student, a white haired, tan prettyboy who she strongarmed into the team, along with Asemu Enneacle, who joined much more willingly, considering he's a huge fanboy of the Black Devil. He's working on reigning in his bouts of spergtasticness whenever he comes over to hang out and play Not!Armored Core on your son's Not!Xbox360

We have acquired the best beard. The BEST.

Unfortunately, it's not actually growing on us. Mellis is fine with us having a beard, but prefers we keep a neatly trimmed short beard. We're basically Riker. But we do put on the giant crazy beard as a prop when we need to be especially dramatic. We have even learned quick-change techniques so we can put it on when nobody is paying attention, leading people to believe we somehow have control over our beard's length.
>>
>>25062711
Shit, man. When we play as Scarlet, we're going to be in some kind of convoluted shoujo manga with love triangles up the ass. And Jake is SO going to disapprove.

I'm thinking of her as a future La Maupin in a way, she probably wears men's clothing whenever it suits her, beats people up, and is willing to shack up with whoever suits her fancy, which while a strict criteria is applied to that one, gender isn't part of it.

>Not knowing La Maupin
http://www.badassoftheweek.com/lamaupin.html

One of the most badass human beings ever produced by France was born in 1670 into a life of wealth, privilege, and one-percenter opulence that meant she could have just spent her entire life chilling out Real Housewives style without ever so much as having to shank a single human being in the eye in a hellacious fit of rage, but, as we shall soon see, that sort of malaise really wasn't this chick's bag. Her father was the Grand Squire of France, meaning that he was pretty much the number-one dude responsible for training King Louis XIV's pages and maintaining the Royal Stables, and this guy wasn't really the sort of hard-drinking drill sergeant motherfucker who was going to let his little daughter grow up without learning the finer arts of dishing out knuckle sandwiches to her enemies or running would-be suitors through the small intestines with the pointy end of a rapier. This French R. Lee Ermey trained young Julie the same way he trained the King's Squires, and as a young woman she learned the finer points of necessary life skills such as horseback riding, horse maintenance and repair, drinking excessively, gambling, fistfighting, avenging your honor, and stabbing people in the fucking face when they don't have the good sense to step off when you're threatening them. Growing up surrounded by tough men, this tall young beauty with the dark auburn hair and piercing blue eyes was forged into an instrument of badassitude.
.
.
I can totally understand if you don't like promiscuity though.
>>
>>25062948
Better have a permanent stubble.
We tried to have a longer beard, but it kept catching fire in the lab.

La Maupin was awesome, not a trollop. She just knows what she wants most of the time.
>>
>>25062970
I'm liking the idea of a badass daughter, but the promiscuity is a no-go.
>>
What should we do in regards to MID? Because I'd love it if we have a little robotic pillbug roaming around the house all the time. If for no other reason than that it will make the inevitable encounter with SID very, very disturbing to Asemu. He's not going to have any idea why a giant version of his friend's robot buddy is killing his team.
>>
>>25062852
She's especially weirded-out when Aunt Rysis comes to visit. As Scarlet got older, she realized WHY her Aunt Rysis stays overnight in her parents' bedroom, and why the three of them look so tired and smug the next morning.
>>
>>25063014
That's fine. As I said, it's okay you want cut out the promiscuity. I doubt the other guys were serious.

Well, we don't have to go that long for it to be suitable for a manly captain's beard. We only need a few inches. The important thing is that we style it to emphasize our features. Especially once we're old enough that our hair is gray, for proper old-badass effect. Pic related is how I want Jake to look by the third generation arc.
>>
I know you guys aren't all that keen on Jake's daughter being promiscuous, and neither am I, but what if she was the "queen" of her school? Domineering, great body, envy and aspiration of the girls, and the unreachable object of desire for the boys.

Then along comes the only boy besides her own brother who is Asemu. Zeheart doesn't give a fuck about her either, but she couldn't give two fucks about him. and she's smitten. She tries to keep up her usual attitude around him, but when she thinks no one's looking, she has all sorts of fantasies about him, ranging from cute and innocent to some downright kinky shit.
>>
>>25063132
Sounds fine by me. She even joins the MS team simply to be near Asemu, while her friend Kio joins for Zeheart.

>>25063131
Oh yeah. By Gen-3, we're definitely looking like that.
Right now, we keep it at a few inches, then an accident happens, and we have to start all over again.
>>
>>25063132
Agreed. We ship Zeheart with Flit's kids. It's the best way I can think of for the third generation Asuno to have a neat dramatic hook without Asemu being an Asuno and Captain Ash. Well, even with that Kio didn't have that interesting a story arc, but we can do better.
>>
dose anyone want to guess who Asemu's dad is case my moneys on Arabel Zoi.

God I hope not. That would make Emily's death a bit sinister. And I don't want Flit to have cheated on Yurin. Unless Yurin was okay with it. It's not like you can easily hide secrets in a family of psychics. Maybe Asemu was the result of Flit and Yurin being swingers. This is a weird train of thought to have gone down.
>>
>>25063223
i assumed she did the deed with Flit and then killed her self. Then Wolf the fastest man in bed adopted him.

>>25063223
We probably have a variety of them, mainly for situations where we need a spearhead to break right the fuck through something, high speed, not as much mobility, heavy armor, and a giant pile of fuckoff huge guns and missile racks to pierce through lines or deal heavy damage to big stuff.

They might be named things like Lancelot, Galahad, yadda yadda, or we go for a different naming scheme, like off of Angels or Demons.
>>
>>25063251
X-Rounder love is free?

Fucking degenerate hippies.

I completely believe that Flit and Yurin slept around a bit fully with each other's knowledge and consent. Kinky bastards, I hope they invited Jake and Mellis.
>>
>>25063279
Let's not go down the fetishist road now. Leave their secrets unrevealed.
>>
>>25063251
Yeah, but it kinda makes sense.
Yurin is too timid to do anything and Flit had a thing with Emily since we sent Emily over to talk with him all those years ago.
Emily died by accident (or guilt), Flit is eating himself over it, and Yurin is getting more and more depressed over it and not acting.

Too bad, I kinda hoped Emiliy and Dique had blonde Arisa twins.
>>
>>25063292
Jake and Mellis are both into larping, costumes, giant robots, and much, much, more. If their kids knew what they did they would never step foot inside the Crusader Gundam nor would they look at larping with as much glee as they do.
>>
>>25062496
Mass-produced MA? How about the Val Varo? Fast, heavily armed for all ranges, and heavily armored. Add an EM-Field generator, and it'd be damn near perfect for a 2nd gen MA

Jake at one point imbibed a large amount of alcohol and went a-clanging with Ma G.
>>
>>25063324

Well.. to spare Emily's kid a sad fate, we must bro the kid up, find someone to cheer him up, romance, and not dump him like his mom's baby daddy... I suggest Dirk. Both so we don't have to deal with FOUR 3rd gen protags and also so we can have some legitimate gay MS pilots.

Gentlemen, I have an idea.

We make it so Flit and Yurin's kids a few months Asemu's elder.

After they were born, Flit opted to have a vasectomy, but not before donating his baby batter to a sperm bank.

This would be how we get AQEQuest!Verse Asemu.
>>
MaG and CD are constantly flirting and they have adopted MID.
>>
>>25063410
Or it could be entirely a joke she plays. She's been doing the dirty talk for a while now as part of her attempts to learn humor, starting with the cruder aspects. She takes it too far, though, when she accesses the AGE Builder to produce a mobile relay to join them with. And that is why April Fools is no longer celebrated in the Crocker household.
>>
The shapely leg technology has finally been perfected and was utilized with the mobile array mentioned in>>25063455.
>>
>>25063448
All my daww. All of it. Because Ma G learning to appreciate MID's silly nature and see him as a child figure instead of a distraction to Arthur would be priceless. It would be the cutest thing.
>>
>>25063442
This works. it provides a legitimate explanation for Asemu existing, while keeping Flit and Yurin happily married.

Emily dying still sucks, though.
>>
>>25063442
I hope it's something like that, if Asemu does indeed turn out to be Flit's son. I really want Flit and Yurin to have had the happiest possible marriage. Yurin being alive is Flit's happy ending. I don't want him to have ruined it in a moment of weakness. That would just be disappointing.
>>
I just had a idea. Emily had a one night stand with Flit, Yurin found out and then Emily has her unfortunate fall.

We'll continue plotting tomorrow.

>>
>>25063560
Yurin is not some Yandere nutjob. Where do you people get these ideas?

Lets just go with >>25063442 and have her death be purely accidental. Having his mom die while he was still young is plenty tragic for his backstory. No need to complicate the fuck out of it.
>>
>>25063527
Yeah, too bad. She didn't get her happy ending neither in the cannon or our timeline.
Maybe we can change that? This is still plotting for the next generation.
>>
>>25063611
I was making assumptions based on the info provided. Not suggesting that be used as the back story.
>>
>>25063357
They're probably into next to everything. Jake has probably used his AGE builder to enhance his sex life on a regular basis, he's an engineer at heart and has attempted to optimize sex, Mellis has probably dressed up as the Black Raven at one point, I'm not going to clarify whether it was as Rysis or the Mobile Suit, there is a strongly forged Pavlovian link in Jake and Mellis by now between when they call each other "Black Devil" and "Scarlet Witch" and arousal.

By the start of next series they'll have been married for years, years upon years, they'll have tried most things at one point or another.
>>
What if the kids get copies of Ma G in their suits? They won't be the same as the original, but they should still be able to help.
>>
>>25063442
>>25063527
I'm not so sure. Flit is mortal. He makes mistakes. He can still love Yurin completely, while at one point he and Emily had a moment of weakness. It doesn't have to be some mariage-shattering ordeal, even if it seems like it could be.
The sperm bank idea is flatly ridiculous. Sperm banks keep records of this kind of thing. They don't keep it secret, especially not after the mother dies.
>>
>>25063823
They're definitely getting their own AIs.
MaG stays with Jake, while GLA and DOS go with Scarlet and Dirk.
>>
>>25063845
It would be fittgin for Dirk to have MID as a cute comic relief robot companion.
>>
>>25063845
I was thinking that way Ma G gets kids of her own.
>>
>>25063825
It'd be pretty weird when they finally meet.

Also, who's for Asuno getting allocated to Jake's ship?
>>
>>25063859
Oh fuck yes. The cool guy is always followed around by the cute robot.
Jake calls it the chick magnet, Scarlet calls it stupid, Dirk calls him adorable and his best friend.
>>
>>25063861
You mean Asemu? I see no problem with it. Woolf will no doubt raise him to love piloting.
>>
>>25063876
Yeah, Asemu, sorry.
>>
>>25063823
Remember that Ma G was specifically programmed to never make copies of herself as a failsafe mechanism.
>>25063860
What happened to us making the Geth? wirelessly networked AIs that are greater than the sum of their parts.
>>
>>25063933
That's the Crocker OS we made earlier and that sees common use in everyday life.
It was the invention that allowed us to be independent researchers.
>>
>>25063933
That's a project Jake's keeping a secret. All of the Mobile Suits he's developed have the capability to network with each other, but only once a certain signal is sent. They're basically our ace in the hole.
>>
>>25064045
Jesus fuck, Jake IS Tony Stark.
>>
>>25064061
And Dirk is psychic Tony Stark.

Seriously, we should call our kids Dirk and Scarlet, nobody is going to use James and Jessie anyway.
>>
>>25064045

By combining Ma G's dummy AI creation with the SENTINEL system's cross-mech interface, it really should have been easy to figure out.
>>
>>25063825
Hell, this is all based on the assumption that this Asemu is the same as canon Asemu. We have no evidence for that. For all we know he's just got that name because Emily likes it no matter what timeline we're in. He could genuinely be the result of a one night stand with a completely unrelated third party. Let's wait until we actually see the kid before we start making assumptions.

Even if he is Flit's son, it doesn't necessarily have to be an issue of infidelity. Maybe Emily asked Flit to provide a sperm sample for her to be inseminated with, just because she wanted a child and he was her best friend. Yurin could know and be completely cool with it, having become good friends with Emily over the years. The one night stand story could just be because the truth, while not scandalous, is kind of awkward and embarrassing to talk about. Emily's death genuinely was an accident, and the Enneacles adopted Asemu instead of the Asunos because Woolf and Millais couldn't have children on their own. This could be something completely innocent. We're jumping to conclusions. There are plenty of explanations for a kid named Asemu that don't involve broken marriages.
>>
>>25064171
I thought sperm donors were obligated under child support laws?
>>
>>25064224
I wouldn't know about that. Even if they are in our world, this is the space future. Who knows what laws we have?
>>
>>25064224
They are. It's completely unworkable.

>>25064171
If that were the case, Flit would have taken Asemu in instead of Woolf. Flit obviously does not know Asemu is his. Therefore, Flit and Emily must have shagged at some point.
>>
>>25064354
I suppose. We could always contrive some reason Woolf and Millais took him in, instead. Assuming, of course, that Flit actually is his father. We still don't have any evidence at all of that. Let's just table the discussion for now and bring it up again in a few threads when we actually have evidence either way.
>>
>>25064413
I'm confused about why you particularly dislike this scenario. It's the only one that makes sense.
>>
>>25064437
Because I am in many ways quite naive and wanting to hope for the best in everyone. Flit cheating on his wife, even if just once, makes me sad.
>>
>>25064460
It could have been a drunken rape by Emily. She was a doctor after all.
