9th day of prophesy, inside Hrotio closed world.

Here you stand inside a fortress turned dungeon made to conceal the trash of the past brought on by the tragedy linked with the ‘’Potion of Induced Vampirism’’, a real horror museum containing volunteers having lost they’re humanities, with the majority of them being Onis and, given the number and size of this place, they’d easily number in the thousands.

While successfully guarding your emotions was easy, it still left a deep impression, Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto seem to have been truly responsible for this… crime against nature.

>’’If you enter the Keep, know that… everything in there was made out of desperation’’

Those were her parting words, and you understand now perfectly why she’d need to step down from her position, part of you wonder if such a thing can be forgiven but…
Should the Butcher of Monster, the one referred to as the Northern Plague, speak of forgiveness?

You’re obviously juggling your thoughts for now, because you are after all, in quite the predicament.

Here you stand before a giant worm or serpent the size of a siege weapon that has somehow grown telepathic and mind reader, with a mouth big enough to swallow half of your body and that doesn’t even begin to explain the pure lethality that this creature could unleash at a moment notice; a single tackle from that thing will easily squash every bones in your body and right now, for the past minute, it has taken a great interest in you and you’ve just... stood there, looking at it passively as it wiggled on and about near Amarantha, the buzzing in your head continued at uneven intervals but with enough frequency to nail down one truth; the creature needs to look at you in the eyes to be able to scour your thoughts, with this in mind you observed the other three Onis standing relatively far from they’re chieftain and realized that each of them were averting they’re gaze in some way or another.

Talk about being played like a fool, you followed along willingly right into the lair of a giant psychic worm that is, somehow, the mother of your target and very likely to not take kindly to the fact you came here with the intention of killing her, not only that but the impression you previously had transformed into certainty as the worm slithered closer to the small Onis, it took every fiber of your being to calm down and mask your aggressiveness, thankfully Emeth closed the distance and took place beside you, her previous fear all but gone as her emotionless, square red eyes settle upon the unlikely duo while scanning for the other threes settled near the corridor you previously went through.

The complete silence inside the room seriously put you on edge; it’s a stark contrast to the moaning, screaming and lamentation of the damned stuck in their cells.

‘’Maya’’

The young chieftain finally start speaking, and you ready yourself to embrace Focus, and, instead of averting your gaze, you decide to look right into the eyes of this psychic worm for, in the end, you don’t have anything to hide anymore.
The orbs look bottomless, like some kind of round jewelry full of fogs with the rare inkling of starlight’s and then, as the young chieftain orders her vassals, you are greeted with a very sudden, strong image, very much like how this picture of a young man with a Holy sword was inserted in your mind.

A tall, graceful and absolutely gorgeous ruby eyed maiden staring at you with a strangely teasing smile, the kind you remember Mylen having a few times in the past when she was teasing you, the background was equally as magnificent; the full moon almost acted as a cloak to her winged figures. In fact, if it weren’t for her glowing eyes leaving imprint in the very air, this mere vision would have bewitched you on the spot.

Thankfully you gained a certain experience with colors that linger on too long in the world thank to a lengthy trip back home.

‘’Ama… are you sure?’’

The other two shamans also voice they’re protest, this small concert bring you back to reality and, you realize, that Emeth snuck her hand into yours during the distraction.

‘’Yes, I have to speak with him alone, so go, this is an order’’

Removing three combatants is perfectly fine with you, the blue girl let out an audible grunt of annoyance but comply with a ‘’yes, my chief’’ while the two other shamans say silent and, just like that, all three silently walks back into the corridor leading out of this ruined dining room, you have to restrain yourself from letting out a sigh of relief, but your emotions is short lived.

There’s a giant worm in here after all.

‘’I knew there was much more to you then meet the eyes, mister policeman’’

Amarantha speak slowly, looking at you with a complete blank face, you fail to feel much pressure though, and her cute impish looks along with her blinking eyes chasing her tears, give you the impression of someone trying too hard.

‘’But first I’d like you to answer me; why is the Butcher of Monsters stand here, in the land of free monsters?’’

She speak in a rather high tone, the kind befitting those self-centered nobles you encountered a few time in your youth back in your homeland, regardless Amarantha doesn’t have much presence, the giant worm at her side however, is more than enough to make you behave.

Her way of bringing up the past is far from welcomed, what do you say, mister Shieffer?

"Let's just say I got tired of myself, tired of all the killing. That man died some time ago, now I'm just Siegfried. Now tell me, how much do you know? It's obvious your mother's a reader."

Will also say that, having finished that series of VN's you like so much I see so many parallels here it's hilarious. For example Emeth pretty much is the 00 Unit. Oh well, every writer has something they can't help themselves with. The fact that Urobutcher references the mythos in everything doesn't detract from his stuff, it's just something you notice.

"Let's just say I got tired of myself, tired of all the killing.’’

As you speak, you can’t muster the resolves to look at the Oni in the eyes and drift toward your silent companion who, of course, picked up on your frustration and the gentle care you receive through the link only manage to increase your dejection, every time this part of your past is brought to the surface you are always filled with the most intense of shame and, whatever you tell others and yourself, you will never be able to forgive yourself for the actions of your youth.

Is this how Tsukiyomi feel about this place?

‘’Too many things have happened for me to be that same person. For a time, I didn't even know who I was at all and just wanted to help people who had helped me. Monster or no."

You shake your head, chasing the images that always manage to pop up every single time this butcher is mentioned, from villages burned to the ground and every sympathizer put to the swords to the very first monsters you chocked the life out of, you killed more than enough to warrant the title of monster yourself.

Those who believe killing can become routine are fools.

This sudden silence from the chieftain is ill fitting, so you decide to change the subject as fast as possible.

‘’How much do you know? It's obvious your mother's a reader."

She pulled out your past; after all, at the sudden mention the worm shift slightly as if caught by a sudden nervous twitch but it calm down when the girl put her hand on it.

‘’Enough to know that you came with the intention of killing me, but not enough to know why, I’d be a fool to try and hide my ambition of joining with the church, so I’ll ask you; is this why you want to kill me?’’

…well at least it’s out there, good thing she forced her bodyguards away, they’d probably have pounced if they’d heard her, although you’ve got to admit that she seem too calm for someone talking to they’re would-be assassins.

Emeth also let go of your hand and walked out of reach, the girl is slowly becoming smarter it seems, but what will you say, Siegfried?

>Sorry for the delay, got caught up in a muvluv thread.
>>
>>24925819
"Partly. Never dabble in prophecy if you get the chance. It only makes things more complicated in life. I'll be frank - your joining the church will prevent peace between monsters and humans in the long run. Your death will help prevent that future and get me closer to other people I need to remove to ensure peace occurs."
>>
>>24925819
"If your mother will look deeper, she'll see that your alliance with the Church is doomed to failure. You will eventually be betrayed, the general that you made a pact with assassinated, the High Inquisitor will wipe Zipang clean of Monsters using his Holy weapon of mass destruction.
"If you are not killed, then I will have no bargaining chip with which to enter the confidence of the High Inquisitor in order to assassinate him.
"A lasting victory and peace requires that he die, and in order for him to die, you must die.
"Your mother can look into how many times that I have played this out, how many times this war has ended in failure, either because the Church wins, or because Zipang is left too weak to stand against the Demon Lord's daughter who will take advantage of the situation to conquer Zipang herself.
"It's happened so many times before, and I'm hoping that this time the outcome will be different."

We should take advantage of the mother's ability of telepathy, to show her that yes, this is the only course of action left.
All roads lead to her daughter's death, the only question is will it have meaning.
>>
>>24925949
Why can't we not kill her and still join the church?

After the mother reads our mind and confirms that we've lived through timeloops and every single one has ended in failure, maybe we can suggest that Amarantha "die" like the Butcher "died". Fake her death, so that we can go ahead with our plan, and she hides out until we finish assassinating the High Inquisitor.

‘’Your mother should have looked deeper’’

You start; eyeing the giant worms in its strange eyes before looking back at the beige skinned Oni who slowly shakes her head.

‘’She can’t, now explain yourself’’

Huh… For a moment you simply stared at the both of them in disbelief, but prepare a long winded explanations, not before giving one last look to Emeth who is ready to pounce at a moment notice, this girl is truly a god send.

‘’Your alliance with the Church is doomed to failure. You will eventually be betrayed, the general that you made a pact with assassinated, and the High Inquisitor will wipe Zipangu clean of Monsters using his Holy weapon of mass destruction.’’

You put it as plainly as you can and, right after you look into the hypnotic eyes of Amarantha mother, you feel the strange feeling of mid-vertigo that is, thankfully, not as invading as last time however an unknown image spring to mind, the same white haired and red eyed winged maiden standing before you with the most bewitching of smile, her lisps slowly parting to speak, unfortunately, its pulled out before you can investigate further and, deep In your guts, a creature is roused, its anger spreading in your body like wildfire and quickening your heartbeat.

The worm is trying to tell you something.

This interruption made your speech falter, but you keep your posture as best you can and continue.

‘’Your death will help prevent that future and get me closer to the people I need to remove to ensure peace occurs, let your mother scan me clean but know this; this war happened many, many time and each knew the same conclusion albeit with uncountable variations.’’

Again you look to her mother and provoke the same prodding feeling and this time, you brace for the next image.

What you hear instead is an incredibly familiar voice.

>‘’You’ll give birth to an healthy baby girl, I promise you that’’

If you could place a name… you’d say it belonged to a certain individual you met two days ago, a strange demure Demon Lord.

No, you don’t have enough pieces, Amarantha mother is trying to give you a message, could it be that she’s trying to dissuade you from killing her daughter?

‘’Huh, you’re telling the truth, although being you could very well believe a lie… regardless’’

The young chieftain sigh, she look very tired and frustrated, she take a step back behind the worm, half covering her body behind it.

‘’Do you just expect me to crawl up to you and let you behead me? I doubt I’m asking much by saying I don’t want to die’’

Of course, it’s normal to avoid death.

‘’What’s your demands, then? Make it clear’’
>>
>>24926481
"Whether you actually die or not is not my concern. I only need the Church, and through extension, the High Inquisitor, to believe that you died by my hands, that of the Butcher of the North who sneaked his way into Zipang in order to assassinate a key figure in their defense. "That's all, my only demand.
"I believe your mother has a condition of her own?"
We need to prod her mother into trying to communicate with us more. I was hoping that telepathy would make this negotiation easier than this. Though at least the two of them believe us.
>>
>>24926481
"I don't know if there are any demands I can give that you'd accept. I was told killing you was important for peace and that killing you would get me closer to the targets I need to deal with in the church. Both our backs are against a wall in this case."
>>
>>24926481
"In order for me to infiltrate the Church and kill the High Inquisitor I need to get on his good side. Killing you will do that. You don't have to die, but everyone must think you are, and that I killed you."

"In order for me to infiltrate the Church and kill the High Inquisitor I need to get on his good side. Killing you will do that. You don't have to die, but everyone must think you are, and that I killed you."

You don’t want to kill this girl; you’ve had your fill, although you’ve got to do what you must if there’s an option for a different outcome… Your mother did tell you that 4 individuals needs killing but…

Yes, your hesitating, at least your voice didn’t shake or crack, the mention of the Butcher earlier isn’t exactly easy to discard this time, probably because you are just about to kill a young monster in over her head, she can’t’ be older than sixteen after all.

Just a little younger than that Lamia you chocked out.

Ugh, these damned images…

‘’Or I could be listening to an indoctrinated madman, I’ve come quite far and now my goal is finally within reach, why should I even consider abandoning it?’’

…dammit.

‘’You trust and love your mother, let her comb my mind as she see fit; I’m only speaking the truth’’

You take a step forward and the chieftain retreat behind the worm back, thankfully your angle allow you to look at her relatively unimpeded, you look into the eyes of her mother silently and nod, ready for another prodding.

Another image of the tall, magnificent white haired witch is presented to you, this time however, it look much more organic, the woman breath slowly, standing tall and elegant, sitting on some kind of hovering black ball, her wings look to be attached to her hips and flap gently, the scenery seem to be inside a large, grand room full of torches with many strange statue depicting monsters, in her arms is a small baby covered in white cloth, a beautiful baby horned girl that gently suckle her index.

>‘’I promised, didn’t I?’’

Her voice feels familiar, but your hunch isn’t coming from the Demon Lord, the Beast inside you growl and trashes around, it’s the only thing it can do for now, thanks to that episode in the swamp.

>’’Now then, to your end of the bargain’’

Her right eye of magnificent carmine suddenly light up and the vision ends.

…Bloody hell.

‘’I don’t care!’’

Suddenly, the small chieftain scream and you take a step back as the worm shift about, it’s incredible size make her clumsily break some of the already ruined table and her oversized mouth open some more and it start letting out some kind of green substance very similar to slime, it touch the ground in disgusting wet patches and you grimace at the horrid smell.

‘’M-mother stop! I’ve seen enough!’’

Perhaps having abused her talents too much, the worm look weakened but certainly no less formidable; although you have an open way to the girl your resolve weakens at skewering her for.

You realize right now that information had also been injected in your brain; the history of the Oni is one long tale of betrayal, cheating and plain unluckiness, Amarantha mother… her name still escape you, made a deal with the devil to prevent mutations on her child, the only one that could truly be the next chieftain of her people, if it weren’t for the lizard folks.

Even so, the past glory of the Onis was not the objective of the young girl…

‘’I can’t turn back now! I don’t care! I…can’t!’’

Is there such a thing as a talent for observation?

The chieftain outburst is plain, it look more like a frustrated, tired and desperate adolescent screeching than a true leader ready to betray they’re homeland but upon looking at her face, ignoring the distraction of the worm, Emeth rushing to your side and the far away banging of a thousand abominations, the Oni right eyes light up the time of a flicker, something inscribed in her iris, a rune…

Much like how Sylphis was charmed by the Succubus.

Very much similar to that church infiltrator that tried her mind game when she talked with you in the Rahall domain.

Thus, here is another tragedy waiting to happen for these unlucky Onis, but right now there’s only a single truth; Amarantha has been bewitched, probably from the moment of her birth.

‘’I’ve got… I’ve got to join with the church it’s needed for my people for… for me!’’

The sick worm seems to have gotten back its constitution and slowly slither back to the girl as you, again hesitate, the face of Amarantha mirrors that of the Lamia, the weresheep those…

God dammit.

Then, you feel a throbbing in your pocket, amidst the screams of the damned as, for some reason, the outburst of the chieftain seem to rise them, you realize that the Black Jade that the Demon Lord gave you is finally activating, which is odd, for you remember placing the thing in the inner pocket of your coat, regardless tough combat will soon be joined but there is one truth impossible to deny.

Amarantha Amisi is a victim of Deruella, should you carry out your sentence, Butcher of Monsters?

‘’Wait!’’

I scream, holding your palm forward but the chieftain will have none of it, she shake her head and breathe in, hard and embrace her magical state, which unlike you and Tsukiyomi, doesn’t flare up her veins in color. Instead, an apparition exit her body, some kind of effigy looking similar to some of the charms held by the various soldiers you crossed path with back in the forest. Her head is shielded by a long, transparent horned red mask grinning like a demon with a long flock of white hair while her arms found themselves superposed by limbs thrice as big with each fingers ending in wicked claws of black and red.

This is nowhere near the rather crud animal totem you saw the shaman uses.

The moment you take out the black jade, its throbbing increase in tempo while your hand start to feel strangely cold, almost numb but the voice of the Demon Lord resonate in your head, speaking with so much clarity, you’d swear she’d be standing next to you.

‘’Hold on for a few minutes, at least, if you don’t want to kill her’’

Just like that the contact is cut and the stone return to its inert state.

You feel glee, and ignore the emotions of the beast to concentrate on the chieftain who, for some reason, is crying despite the creature hovering above her.

‘’I don’t want to die!’’

She screams, and follows.

‘’I need to go with the church! They’re the only ones…I’ve got….’’

She stops, shielding her eyes however the worm slowly slithers in front of her, posting itself between you and the girl, entirely facing her daughter and you’ve got to admit that you feel speechless.

‘’Mom! We’ve got to kill him!’’

It doesn’t move, you can’t even see Amarantha with the thickness of the beast.

‘’What the hell do you mean, for my own good I’ve got…WE need… Raah!’’

One huge hand smashes the floor and suddenly, the worm look to you and sends an image.
That of a tall, muscled and very proud looking pale skinned Oni, on her knees, even her forehead touching the floor and just like that, the image end.

‘’Siggy!’’

Emeth suddenly scream and point at the corridor where the wretches are closing in, no doubt liberating by the group of Onis, they’re scream of glee resonating all up to your lonely, large room of feasting.

Right now you have to make a decision; Amarantha is going to be busy with her mother, that much is a certainty thank to the telepathy but you could certainly betray her and kill her child when you can, it seems the worm has made her decision and it’s all up to you to go back to your old demons.

>’’Did you really abandon the Butcher, Siegfried?’’

A strong male voice whisper in your ear, the beast it seems, has grown.

>"Don't you mean, has the Butcher really abandoned me?"

One way or another we need to take out those approaching wretches.
If we kill Amarantha now, we can't fight both the wretches AND her mother. Not to mention, it seems that her mother has decided that one way or another, Amarantha is going to stop being a pawn of Deruella.

So concentrate all icepower on the approaching wretches. And if we end up killing the oni's that released them, so that there are no witnesses...unfortunate collateral damage.

I think her mother the worm will keep her busy, but watch out for Amarantha making sneak attacks.

>>24928084
Agreed, He said the worm would be a very difficult combat encounter if it came to that, best to avoid that. Deal with the wretches, don't forget that we and Emeth can safely be within the AoE of our Detonating Ice Spikes. It's time for Murder Mode!

Try to stay aware of Amarantha. Mommy's big and powerful but she's a damn good warrior. She might slip past and if she does we're at the top of her shit list. She'll go *right* fucking for us.

Your holy sword scream out of its scabbard as you take it out, the sound of metal reverberate in the room while your lonely position is immediately illuminated by Holy, the blade radiating a strong white aura that immediately invigorate you, at least emotionally, the angel inside is, after all, forever watching.

"Don't you mean, has the Butcher really abandoned me?"

You speak low, your voice trampled by the gleeful screams of freed abominations, and you and Emeth slowly walk away from the entrance as you conjure your ice armor, a perfect replica of the great plate of the Shieffer soldiers, and then you hear something akin to a crash as a part of the wall where Amarantha and her mother were fighting, the worm seem to have completely penetrated a part of the stone wall and actually threw her daughter in the new, hidden room.

Well…

Those two are going to be busy for a little while, that’s some seriously tough love right there but for some reason, the imploring image of the kneeling mother come to mind.

Right then, she asked you to save her child…

However, before battle is joined you’ve got to make a decision about your spells, keep it at a certain level for the unknown enemies.

Good thing it’s a bottleneck, while the two threats are busy with one another you hold to the jade tightly and breathe in several times; it’s been a while since the swamp and even then, you haven’t properly killed something in quite a while, you decide to opt for the tried and true; short ice pike propelled at high speed and you certainly didn’t have to wait long; one of the wretches make itself known as its rotten body is illuminated by one of the corridor torches.

It’s a completely naked undead running in a straight line, you don’t bother moving, you summon a spike and aim straight at its head, the object fly like an arrow and skewer its brain in a loud, humid thunk, immediately sending it crashing to the floor as it’s taken of its feet by the fast, large projectile, immediately another take its place before you can unsummon your magic and stumble on tis corpse, your spike skewer it midflight, another is decapitated by the forces of your next projectile that you sent blind into the darkness.

‘’Watch my back’’

You tell to the golem that comply without hesitation, while you are only fighting wretches coming in a straight line ther-

‘’Aaah!’’

There’s a large cavernous sound coming from the room where the room is containing Amarantha who, just now, launched a table toward your position that is, thankfully, intercepted by the golem; Emeth literally punch it out midflight, sending woods and splinters everywhere as you sense her magic, her knuckles are alights with explosives runes and then, as you concentrate on killing the invading unloving, something come from your flank.

Normally, you’d have increase the intensity of your spell but, perhaps this is your first blunder of a lifetime, you feel an uncharacteristic grogginess, your next cast is slower than usual and not as strong or form, you pelt the entire ground in spikes not minding you or Emeth as they touches you only to be absorbed.

‘’Siggy!’’

The golem scream as you conjure a wall to cover the entrance, you only had a glimpse but the wretched you previously killed were actually starting to rise up once more, your now foe somehow managed to slither past everything, but your golem push you out of the way before you have a good look, you then hear a loud wet crunch followed by abject fear and pain as your golem squirm.

Her arm is caught in the maw of some kind of long serpentine quadruped raised on its foreleg, its face and jaw is absolutely gigantic, very much impossible to support biologically on its relatively small body and neck, it seem to possess one giant eye bulging out of the middle of its… beak? That constantly leaks some kind of rainbow colored substance.

Of course you don’t hesitate, Emeth arm is stuck horizontally in its giant jaw and that creature is very, very eager to close for a diner…

‘’S-siggy!’’’

The javelin fly out with the speed of a crossbow, aiming straight into the creature mouth, you poured as much energy as you could into it while keeping it stable, it’s a surgical strike, a gambit to liberate your precious bodyguard, however the creature is no mindless wretch; it see the projectile and move, but only succeed to dodge your strike halfway through.

‘’….!’’

You feel Emeth sharp pain coursing through you as if it were yours, but more than that there’s fear, not for herself but you and right as you morph your spell you immediately turn around swinging your sword and sending a wave of acidic water that splashes into a familiar foe.

Two headed, long limbed abomination shedding some kind of black fumes very much like the oversized serpent, your acid stopped it clear in its path but neither of you stop, right as Emeth hard is crushed and your spell finally change into a powerful lever that wrench open the beast beak in a very loud clack, you launch various projectile unto the stunned Grue and close in, holding your sword two handed and keeping the creature from striking you by launching a simple block of ice on its feet, crushing it and killing its balance, your sword find its heads and decapitate it.

For the briefest moment, you see a winged phantom hovering above the damned as it fall on the floor and start evaporating.

Turning your attention back to Emeth, you see her punch the destabilized creature, the explosion provoking a strangely girlish scream but the golem is finally freed, albeit with an amputated forearm, the girl land right on her feet and punch the beast in its belly, literally sending it crashing in one of the pillar and you follow through with an healthy amount of javelin penetrating its squishy body, the ones in its eye start to melts and the creature, now reduced to an infirm, squirm and cry in a small voice, repeating the name ‘’Yaya’’

‘’Bloody hell’’

The jade is pumping constantly and then, the wretch completely break the wall as your attention was elsewhere, tens of over eager undead stumble and trample one another and run toward you, right as you see more abomination enter the room through the walls.

That explain how the big ones made it alright, but right now you are starting to be hopelessly outnumbered, of course in the other room there’s always the constant sounds of battles, Emeth runs toward you as you start crippling the closest wretch, but your position is downright hopeless.

What do you do, Siegfried?

Ok, so Emeth lost an arm. Fixable, no core components were damaged thank fuck we didn't lose her so soon into our backstabbing plan.

I say tactical retreat, start moving in the opposite direction they are while firing ice spikes like a madman. If we do get well and truly swarmed then we summon an Ice Dome and Detonate it to get some breathing room. Where's an AA-20 when ya need one?

and then when we're clear, pull the stone. Lady Daiyu has something to say again; probably shouldn't keep her waiting if we can help it.

Maybe we should get that black jade put in a setting, put it on a chain, and have Siggy wear it as a pendant or something.

Summoning spells are not instant cast. We pulled that in the swamp because the team covered us while we worked up the mojo. It depends on how far away they are and how good Emeth is. She's strong but she just lost an arm, that's gonna have a major negative impact on her combat ability.

Now, if we can work out a summoning while also firing our other spells that would indeed be a good idea. Pushing our luck on the burnout factor most likely but this is no time to worry about that. Also, it's not like we need two hands to fight, use one to grab that jade, c'mon demon lord save our asses!

You don’t need to speak your plan to Emeth, now that you think about it that may very well have been the error that cost half of her arm.

Bah, you’ll worry about it later.

Your sword glowers magnificently as the wretches close in, the more… evolved creatures simply stay back as they invade the room one after another, some look like the many tentacle and eyed beast you remember in Hadraniel vision, others are more akin to some of the specter of the swamps, but one thing is certain; every single one of them possess extreme differences with some similarity, mostly in that strange slime like substance.

Emeth successfully cover for you despite her amputation, the wound leak some kind of white fluids beside that and the few chewed part its relatively clean, her pain is definitely not what it should be, after all when Athena got amputated you felt it from the other side of the country.

Regardless, you started retreating while pelting your foes, each javelin sent to cripple as much legs as possible, the previous bird thing that was stuck on the ground managed to liberate itself after a few seconds and whatever wretch that were struck, be it through the ankle or beyond identification, always rose back to torment you again and again, completely regenerated.

This…

No you can’t afford to lose heart, a few overexcited unloving slip past your barrage and are sent packing by punches and kicks, the various small contained explosion completely rip apart jaws, noses and eyes and even cave in some torsos, but there is no such thing as a pause, the wretches invades the room and gun for you and Emeth and then…

An abomination one sneaks right behind you but is quickly taken down by the golem, you are only sent the briefest image; a small Oni whose mouth extended to her cheeks, completely separating her face and even her body was split open by rows of teeth, still Emeth made quick work of her; the runes on her body glowed and she merely shoulder tackled in, created a small space implosion that completely ripped her apart.

…her ability reminds you of Batrion.

Even with the various pieces of meats, blood and bones, the creature still manage to crawl away to safety and regenerate.
Tactical retreat… tactical retreat…

>‘’Love, I’d like it if you could approach our excited little girl…’’

The clear voice of the Demon Lord resonate in your mind and you set to work without further ado, running toward the other room where Amarantha is still busy with the worm, who for all intend and purpose, is massively holding back with the set of grievous wounds on its body however, halfway through another abomination block your path.

It’s…. An amalgam of body, there’s no other way to describe it, it walk on many human legs and look like a big blob that simply stand there with uncountable amount of arm waving the air, others scratching the walls the various mouths constantly spew out that strange, green slime and for a moment, you and Emeth progression is stopped and you start to feel the strain of your casting, you’ve send hundreds of projectiles already…

Then, your bodyguard intention is clear.

She look at you and nod, there is no need for word, for your soul link is strong; she’s going to hold it back, in fact, she’ll hold the entire tide back.

…What do you do, Siegfried? The creature doesn’t seem to be impeded by the Holy Light and it slowly lumbers toward, while the wretches behind you are as excited as ever and of course, various abominations hovers around the flanks, ready to pounce.

Emeth smiles and for a moment you stop casting, that’s when you gather some of your dwindling energy in a sphere around you and her, small and almost translucent, yes its acidic nature send all of the wretches coming through on the floor as they start writhing, legs, arms, torso, they’re entire body being cooked and melted.

If I crippled Emeth leg she'd have been a goner for sure.
>>
>>24931465
Emeth actually has a reason behind it. Crit fail meant she risks "CHOMP!".

Our next roll decided if this would indeed occur. We get a middling result so she still has to lose something. A limb makes sense but if she lost a leg she'd be dead meat. Hence, the arm.

Now if this happens again I'll start to think you have a point. Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, but three times and we have ourselves a full on conspiracy.

>>24931513
Same way for me. I like any good setting and can't really chose between the many I know.

Still, the fact that's up there means I can expect you to go full throttle on the suffering the instant you get a chance.

We'll see what the Demon Lord pulls. I'll tell you my answer after that. I get info, then I choose. I'm playing this like a true magus. If she ports her to the castle and we bring one of her horns we'd have the proof that we "killed" her with zero chance of being found out.

And if he did lose an arm while in Church Town they have replacements. If only we had guns, I'd vote for Vash's Gun Arm. Oh well, Wolverine Claw Arm would still be cool.

>>24931785
For everyone to survive. Don't much care about the Waifus because I like them all. Harem end or no, I want them alive and happy. Yes, even if it is in the arms of another man (or woman, I ain't against the Yuri).

My only problem with MLA is that the worst girl won Slutmika a slut. These girls are all good so I want them alive and happy. With at least one in our bed.

But I know this will rely on the dice. We just saw what they almost did to us. They'll follow through eventually.

I wonder if /tg/ would truly be willing to let one of the girls go.

Well I think the three closest ones are Mylen, Hadraniel and Tsu, regardless tough, I don't want to kill a girl because of the dice however I don't really have much problem with injuring/maiming them due to a 1.

If it completes the mission I'm willing to sacrifice a few. I don't want to, but these time loops are gonna end on this one, period. Their deaths will count though.

Wouldn't have minded having Sylphis. Sometimes the route for a side character is better than the one for the main girls and I love getting the Kuudere to get dere.
