Your name is Heather, and yesterday was the strangest day of your life.
Based on how you met something from Summer's subconscious and started meddling in the deepest depths of her mind, today was shaping up to be strange as well.
Summer focused, and both of you were suddenly sitting on the floor of the manifestation chamber, instead of sitting on a massive pile of pillows. Einstein awakened, and you checked his clock. It was only eight thirty seven PM. You were gone for only half an hour or so, and you'd gotten a full night's sleep.
>You could check Einstein's data at any time: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

"Alright, you've been gone for thirty two minutes." One of the technicians said. "Do you mind if I ask a few questions?"
"Go ahead." Summer said, and the technician started asking her about how long she thought it was inside, and how well she slept, and several relevant questions. As you sat, stretching and hungry for breakfast, the door hissed open, and there Lin was. He looked around, then shrugged, sitting down on one of the nearby beds.
"Sup."

Send message to Alex
<Silly Prometheus, this is the weekend we're going to Heaven's Jewel with everyone. Wait no, it was. Stupid ArmaTek... Sure, works for me.>
>Isaac has EX level Telekinesis
>Jilly has EX level Telepathy
>We're second right after them
>>
>>24882511
>I should mention that that's the messages from earlier today. You'd already gone off with Alex and Ellie after school today.
>>
>>24882511
You need to keep up, bro, we already went on that trip, which was where Armatek attacked us.
>>
>>24882529
Ah yeah
>>
>>24882437
"Hi Lin."

>>24882511
We've had that message since this morning. We just hung out with them for the day. That's what we were doing when Armatek attacked.
>>
"Hey, Lin. How are you?"
>>
>>24882437
"Hey Lin, not much, went into Summer's manifested universe, it's pretty awesome."

I recall that we still need to actually tell the technicians about our everythingpathy (omnipathy? I really don't know what to call it), so we should do that later.
>>
>>24882580
We shouldn't
>>
>>24882580
I don't think we should tell people about Knowledge.
>>
>>24882601
Why not?

The whole point of being on the station is that they can study our powers.

Hiding such a major development from them seems silly, and if they find out, we've effectively breached our contract.
>>
>>24882580
Wasn't that partly why we came up here? Summer wanted to show off her new power and see our new power. But breakfast first.
>>
"Hi, Lin. How are you?"
"Pretty good." He said. "My councilor, that one Manus guy, said I should probably do all sorts of practice so that they can figure out which Tricks I'm good at. This one is like, manifestation or something, right? Like, making things?"
You nod.
"And what're you up to?"
"Not much, just went into Summer's manifested universe. It's pretty awesome."
"... Wait, wait, you can manifest *universes*?" He asked.
"I can. Nobody else has been able to do it, though." Summer said, laying down next to you.
"Huh. Let me try to manifest something." Lin said, and walked into the central chamber of the manifestation room. He closed his eyes, and focused... And a shimmering, white and black kitten appeared. He opened his eyes, and touched it- and it wavered and vanished.
"Aw, man." He said.
"You got to convince yourself it's more real." Summer said. "And make sure it... makes sense, in a way. Like this!"
The identical kitten appeared on her head, and it curled up and started purring. It was hardly more than a huge head, huge paws, and long, long fur.
>>
>>24882646
That was what I thought.

Lying to the station seems like a pretty shitty thing to do.
>>
>>24882613
>>24882601
I don't see why we shouldn't tell them about Knowledge.
>>
>>24882670
Why should we tell everyone everything? We already saw where it got us last time.

>>
>>24882708
Thats because delta could sense that shit.

Tell the station folks about nottechnomancy.
>>
>>24882708
Because we put the exosuit design up on the internet.

We'd be explaining our powers to people who we are paid to explain our powers to at a secret facility.
>>
>>24882660

"your proportions are off, but it's still cute."

--------

Only reason i see to keep Knowledge to our selves is possibly someone copying us for sinister ends.

Delta can sense Tech from lightyears away.

>>24882750
We didn't.
Only was seen in a stream
>>
>>24882744
>>24882784
Oh yeah, totally not related to putting it up on the extranet, not one bit.
>>
>I should mention that during the time you created the suit, you never took time off to design it. You simply started building it.

"Yeah!" You say. "You could try starting small, as well. I had to start with a screw before I got anywhere."
"Hmm. Maybe..." He said, and focused.

A brick appeared in front of him. slightly cracked, brown and red... And he lifted it. "This feels right." He said, tossing it up and catching it again.
You examine the kitten Lin had tried to manifest- the one Summer had manifested in truth.
"Your proportions are off, but it's still cute."
"That was my kitten when I was a kid." Lin said. "She looked exactly like that."
Then he Vanished the brick.
"And you can make things go away, too. That's cool."
>>
>>24882842
"That's pretty good!"

Can we go practice some TK? Are we near the machine they use?
>>
>>24882842
"What else have you tried so far, Lin?"
>>
>>24882842
Knowledge the Kitten.
See if Summer managed to reproduce the History of it as well as it's Being.
>>
>>24882842
>Exa in charge of not dropping trip line a hot potato.
>>
>>24882842
>This is me, of course.

"That's pretty good!" You say. "What else have you tried so far, Lin?"
"This one Technopathy thing, but I couldn't do it at all. Then TK, and telepathy. Those two were easier." He said.

You reach out to the kitten, and focus on your own, internal clairvoyance...

Shattered thoughts- fur, fuzz, and a meow- enters your mind, and you lost all vision. For a moment, you felt the fur under your hand.
In a strange way, the being you knew as Summer K. Grayson had convinced reality itself that the object existed.

You blink, and that strange, tenuous perception of the world fell away. Your vision was... still gone.
You couldn't see anything, and your head ached, a dull ache.
"Anyway, I'm starving." Summer said, from somewhere to your right. "Wanna go get breakfast?"
"Wait, we just had dinner." Lin said. "Like, an hour ago."
"I sped up time." Summer said. "In my own little universe. Eight hours in thirty minutes."
"... Oh."
"So do you?" Summer asked, turning to you.

>>
"Yeah, let's go grab something." You say, and hear Summer start to get to her feet, walking toward the door. Very slightly panicking, trying to stay calm, you started reaching out with TK, gently touching the walls and floor in front of you, walking blindly. "I might need some help getting there." you say.
"What, why?" Summer asked.
"I pulled a Damien and blinded myself."
"... Oh dear." Summer said. "Hang onto me."
She sidled up close to you, and touching her fur, the two of you made your way to the cafeteria.
"What do you want?" Summer asked. "I can make you something. It's only Isaac in here anyway."
"Yo." Isaac said.
>>
>>24883270
"Hey!"

"Can you get me pancakes?"
>>
I don't see why we're hiding our power, when the only reason we're even here in the first place is so they can study our power.
The exosuit was a combination of "Oh look, that's a cool exosuit I found on the extranet / fought in demiurg commander / felt because of my lolpsionic power.
>>
>>24883270

Carrots are good for your eyes, have some of those.

"Hi Isaac. Um, bacon please Summer."
>>
We didn't really pull a Damien though. Him changing the future stops his clairvoyance for a while but it's never actually physically effected his eyes. We should probably go see doctor lady.
>>
"Hey, Isaac." You say, as summer led you to a chair. You sat down.
"Can you get me pancakes?"
"Sure thing." Summer said, and made her way into the kitchen.
Isaac's seat groaned. "What's up?" He asked, and you heard him crunch something. "And I'm curious about that new guy. Did you give him any of that anti-void-queen stuff?"
>>
>>24883351

that's a good point, we should go to the med bay and have her check.

>>24883403

"was practicing something new and i lost my vision. If it isn't cleared up after pancakes, I'll have it checked out."

>>
"I'm blind at the moment. It's inconvenient." You say. "And no, I don't think we did. We should give Devourer some as well. But we might not have enough of the stuff."
"We might just be able to split what little we do have. It's like clay, right? All we need is at least *some*, right? Or am I wrong?"
You reach down to touch the reddish material in your pendant. It wouldn't be hard to split...

Summer eeped, and you smelled something burning.
"I can fix it!"
>>
>>24883536
"I don't know... Omni said it's just enough for everyone on the station so... I don't think it'd be safe to risk it."
>>
>>24883536

quick check on the kitchen appliances to see what happened.
>>
>>24883536
"I think as long as Lin is with one of us, we'll be fine. Or we just need to make sure that anyone who doesn't have some is with someone who does."
>>
>>24883560
Yeah.
Let's not risk it.
>>
>>24883536
Why do I feel like we're missing a bunch of key stuff today.
>>
>>24883536

as long as Lin get's near enough to someone who has one of the red pendants, the proximity should thwart any attempts at VQ control.

if we split the clay, we'll be at a far greater risk, we should tell Lin about this, he doesn't know a damn thing! (probably)
>>
>>24883560
>"It's... it's the material that's important. That much I remember." He said. "It can be cut, or changed shape. I... think I was certain to make enough for all of the psions."
He never said it was only just enough. There's enough. There could be spare. In fact given his state, 'all the psions' could even mean all the psions in the universe. The sphere protected the whole station when it was made so we probably don't need that much of it.
>>
I wonder what the effective range of this stuff is?
If it's big enough, we could just drop specks of it across that world the VQ controls and watch as her grip is lost.
>>
>>24883536
Give Lin some you greedy fucks, theres plenty of the red gunk.
>>
"I don't know... Omni said it's enough for everyone on the station..."
"I'll just split mine next time I see him." Isaac said. "I'd call Robin, but she's all the way in the TK room, and Theta has her phone."

You reach out to Summer, and smell the smell of burning pancakes. Summer quickly scraped it off, and started to let it cool down while she mixed up more batter.

"Don't worry, be patient." Summer said. "I can figure this out."
>>
>>24883779
"Oh yeah! I've gotta build Theta a new phone."
>>
>>24883779
Help her out with TK when she tries to flip it.
>>
>>24883799
What does that have to do with anything? We can't exactly do it while blind and eating breakfast.
>>
>>24883779
God we're a pussy.
Seriously, what's more dangerous, maybe having a little less protection against the void queen, or having a wall ignoring assassin stick a knife in our throat while we sleep?

When did this become paranoia quest?
>>
>>24883837
When we decided not to tell them about our new power, despite the fact that the entire point of this facility is to explore psionic powers.
>>
>>24883826
We probably can, actually.
>>
>>24883779

"I'm going to build Theta a new phone, being blind makes it a little more difficult though."
>>
>>24883856
What is with today.

We're going to tell them, its the whole damn point of the facility.
>>
>>24883856
Yeah, I do not know what is going on with the players today.
>>
>>24883897
ArmaTek having the ability to clone people and then use them as slaves and Void Queen being able to use people as tools, among other things
>>
>>24883915
VQ wouldn't be able to use people as tools against us if we actually gave them some of the clay shit.
>>
>>24883915
Station is protected from voidqueen, Armatek hasn't cloned anyone since the greek letters (that we know off), your paranoia is unfounded.
>>
>>24883935
We don't know what Omega looks like
>>
"I'm going to build Theta a new phone. Being blind makes it a little more difficult, though." You say, and type out a small note on your omnitool, reminding you to tell Manus about your newer powers.
"Yeah, it would, wouldn't it?" Isaac asked. "Might want to get someone to take a look at you, though. Damien only goes blind when he was... actually blind, right? And overused his powers. He could still see from his eyes."

You blink, and when Summer came out of the kitchen, you could see her, blurrily. You were peering through what looked like a long, long tunnel, where a blurry tiger and manifestation set down a plate of pancakes in front of you.
"There!" She said. "Sorry it took so long."
>>
>>24883915
Armatek finding our suit because it was publicly available and they have a psion that can feel technology. Clones wouldn't have the knowledge of their progenitor anyway. There could be a dozen Heatherclones who know literally nothing about Heather.
The Void Queen can't get us thanks to the red stuff.
>>
>>24883951
We damn sure know he isn't on the station.
>>
>>24883953
It wasn't publicly available.

>>
>>24883967

>>
>>24883967
We were told that Delta senses tech. We built something new, so he learned how to build it.
>>
>>24883984

The fact that every other psion they made needed implants except for the mid-functioning autist.
>>

"Seems like it's coming back. Thanks for the pancakes, Summer."
>>
>>24883992
Neither did the video, or anyone on the station, except omni and our own drone.
>>
>>24883992
WE don't even have our suit's hardware information. There are no blueprints to steal. Delta can sense tech, and he could have just manifested something with the same abilities without needing to know it's technical specs.
>>
>>24883992
Neither does anything else. We literally never wrote it down. Delta got it from examining the suit himself.
>>
>>24883952
Dunno what's up today, but I'm not really feeling into it, and like we're missing a bunch of important stuff.
>>
"Seems like it's coming back." You say. "Thanks for the pancakes, Summer."
"Not a problem!" She said, and you took a bite. Your vision was getting better and better as time passed, until it returned properly.
Her pancakes had much, much too much flour, and she seemed to realize it herself after she took a few bites.
"... Sorry, I'll go make you something new, if you wa-"
Robin pamfed into existence next to you, and sat down.
"Hey. Guess what I learned to do!" She said. "It's really cool. Come on, give me something to disintegrate."
Isaac lifted up a fork into the air. "How about this?"
"Right, okay." Robin said. "If I reaaaaally stretch, I can..."
The fork burst into black smoke.
"Bam. S'cool, isn't it?"
>>

"Oh, you can do it without touching them now? Well done." You say. "What do you do with it? Just pull the atoms apart? My annihilation just turns it into energy..."
"I guess. That's what the scientists say. That's why it's disintegration." Robin said. "To me, it's more like I... start to teleport them, but don't finish up. It's also what happens when I teleport inside of something. I'm not very accurate yet, and it's really tiring. But I got better with TK, so that's good! Made my nose bleed again, though."
Summer just subtly took your pancakes, and manifested new plates in front of you and Robin.

Clairvoyance is part of it though which is why I went blind, I can UNDERSTAND things now.

"I'm not sure, really. But as I said, you can't get lost when you have your power. And you know where people you know and places you've been to are."

Let's try and Know her power.

You were travelling at speeds so incredible that you couldn't understand the scale, whirling through space, rotating around a star which was rotating around a supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy, swimming through the eternal darkness and orbiting [...].
Your vision quaked, and pulsed. You thought you saw cracks over your vision for a time, like a broken windshield.
And then you saw Robin Descartes, the one hundredth and twenty-fourth clone of the Rho series. Her power, you saw, was simple. Her power was to destroy something entirely utterly, and funnel it through the hidden pores in the universe, pulling the destroyed parts out of the other side of another pore, reconstructing it from the dust left over.

And you turned to Isaac Descartes, genetic sister to Robin and the two thousanth one hundredth sixty seventh of his own epsilon series.
Kinetic energy was a variable, through him, you saw, and it wasn't hard for him to change that in a way other than imparting force.
You blink. Isaac's power was strangely, strangely familiar to Summer's own power. But how you knew that you didn't know. When you turned to her, your perspective returned to normal, and those cracks in your vision remained... But your head ached more... and then you realized that you were colorblind.

"Colourblind."
>>
>>24884517
"Neat. You completely destroy things and then force the tiny pieces through the fabric of space and then build them again on the other side. Isaac is sort of like Summer but he just changes kinetic energy."
>>
>>24884619
Probably best not to bring up their numbers, we know Robin especially is still kind of depressed about all the clones who died.
>>
"Hah, I'm only colorblind this time." You say- and realize that your voice was droning and low, and that you had problems feeling texture, like you'd been given anesthetics. You take a bite of pancake, and note that you can't taste it.
"Robin, when you teleport something, you take it apart, utterly, squeeze everything through the pores in the universe, and reconstruct it again on the other side."
"So like all the sci-fi teleporters." Robin spoke, and you had a bit of trouble understanding her. "Breaks something up, puts it through a wormhole, puts it back together. That's interesting."
"Amd Isaac, you're sort of like Summer, but you just change kinetic energy."
"Change kinetic energy? What do you mean?" He asked, and you took a minute to piece what he said together, with your sub-par hearing.
"That's interesting." Summer said, and you could hear her perfectly fine.
>>
>>24884683
"Kinetic energy is a variable, you change it."
>>
>>24884683
"This is weird."

"Well, I guess rather than actually moving the atoms with your mind, you're just imparting them with more energy."
>>
>>24884683
"This is alot more draining than it was yesterday."
"Robin, could you grab me some of Anna's rations? I can't taste anything right now."
>>
>>24884683

"everything feels very dull right now, touch, hearing, sight. Except for summer, i can hear you just fine."

with the appropriate slurring of the words.
>>
>>24884683
"Your telekinesis isn't a force that you push with. You just tell things to move."
>>
>>24884683
Think of the world like a computer program, you're just editing the variable for kinetic energy.
>>
"Well, I guess rather than actually moving the atoms with your mind-" Like normal telekinesis worked, you knew for some reason. "You're just imparting them with more energy. Kinetic energy is a variable, you just change it instead of transferring it."
"... That's kind of backwards." He said. You shrug.
"This is a lot more draining than it was yesterday. Robin, could you grab me some of Anna's rations?"
"Okay." She responded, and gave you some rations. You pulled it open, and started to eat.
"Everything feels very dull right now." You say. "Touch, hearing, sight... Except for Summer, I can hear you just fine."
"That's because I'm meowing." Summer said. "And using telepathy. Think you'll get better soon?"
>>
Question: If our technopathy is not actually technopathy, does that mean we can use it on anything?

Manipulate reality by asking nicely.
>>
>>24884780
"I dunno haha"
>>
>>24884780
"Yeah, hopefully. I should probably talk to Manus about setting up some proper tests, before I do myself any permanent damage. I've taken too many trips to the hospital already."

>>24884793
So the final destination of this power we're developing is omnipotence...
>>
>>24884780
"Probably. It cleared up quickly enough last time."
>>
>>24884780
"Who knows. I'll go and tell the good Professor about Knowledge after rationings."
>>
>>24884780
"Not sure. I might train TK later."
>>
>>24884780
"Hopefully. This is kind of boring. Everything's gone all bland."
>>
>>24884793
We did the same thing to a Restaurant so yeah, it's everything.
>>
>>24884780

"If my blindness is anything to go by, I'll probably be fine in a few minutes, this one isn't quite as bad as the last."

>>24884793

we can try it on the trees in hydroponics. If that works it will only be a matter of time until we can awaken a star.
>maybe not
>>
>>24884874
>awaken a star.
>"I MUST CONSUME"
>>
>>24884780
This kind of stuff reminds me of lambda more than anything else.
>>
"Yeah, hopefully. It cleared up quickly enough last time." You say. "I should probably talk to Manus about setting up some proper tests, before I do myself any permanent damage. I'll do that after rationings."
"Alright." Summer said, and started eating.
"This is kind of boring." You say, and gnaw on the ration until you felt dully full. "Everything's gone all bland."
"Maybe that's the cost of clairvoyance?" Summer asked. "It's kind of weird..."

You finish up your rations, and get to your feet.
"Want me to take you there?" Robin asked. "Though now that we understand how my teleportation works, I'm not sure if you'll want to... Hell, I'm not sure if I want to teleport myself."

Behind her, sitting in his chair, lambda was thinking, chin on his hands.
>>
>>24884921
>lambda
>Isaac, even, whoops.
>>
>>24884921
"You okay over there, Big L?"
>>
>>24884921
"Being broken down into component molecules doesn't bother me too much. Go ahead."
>>
>>24884921
"Sure it's a little scary when you know how it works, but I still trust you to get us there in one piece, let's go."
>>
>>24884921
If we weren't the same people coming out on the other side we wouldn't have psychic powers, I think thats deeper than just the atoms that we're made of.
>>
>>24884959
"Well, if you look at it that way you've already killed everyone a few times."
>>
>>24884921
"It's worked out okay so far Robin. Just as dangerous as it was before. Though I suppose this explains why you lose bits.

You okay there Issac?"
>>
>>24884980
If different people were coming out the other side, Knowledge would probably mention it.

So I guess it is quite literally reassembling the same person atom for atom on the other side.
>>
>>24884921

"penny for your thoughts, Isaac?"

knowing how it works doesn't change the fact that we already did it a lot.

in this case it might be best just to walk there though, it's no big effort.

>was going to suggest walking, regardless.
>>
"You okay there, Isaac?"
"Just thinking. I'm fine." He said.

You turn to Robin. "Sure, it's a little scary when you know how it works, but I still trust you to get us there in one piece. Let's go."

With a pamf, you and Robin appeared in Dr. Manus's office, where the professor Neva was leaning over his desk, speaking in a low, sultry voice. Robin shot you a grin, and then with another pamf, you appeared outside the door. Robin knocked on it.
"Uh, er, one second!" Manus said. A short time later, he opened the door.
"Yes?"
>>
>>24885034
"Just like to say that it's not Technopathy. It never was. It's... Knowledge. Knowing everything."
>>
>>24885015
I don't think we correctly explained his power to him. Maybe exabyte meant to say vector, rather than variable.
>>
>>24885034
<I think teleporting ettiquette says to not teleport into places without permission.>

Good, thanks!

>act like you saw nothing
>>
>>24885034
"Hey, uh, I've got some new info. Also some stuff happened to me."
>>
>>24885034
"Hi Manus, this morning I learned I can use my powers to understand and communicate with everything, so I figured I should come tell you about it and maybe set up some tests."
>>
>>24885034
"Doctor, I'm colourblind and I can't feel anything. What should I do?"
>>
>>24885034

>of course this would happen

"I recently found out something new about my powers, I can come back later if you're busy."
>>
>>24885034
"I thought I should tell you I developed a new power. So it would be good if you could set up a training session to work out what it does. Um, when you're not busy."
>>
>>24885051
I think Understanding is probably a better name for it.
>>
>>24885113
It's not new.
>>
>>24885034

I suggest we head over to hydroponics later to see if we can talk to plants.
>>
>>24885117
We know everything about them. We don't understand it always. We just know.
>You were travelling at speeds so incredible that you couldn't understand the scale, whirling through space, rotating around a star which was rotating around a supermassive black hole in the center of the galaxy, swimming through the eternal darkness and orbiting [...].
>>
>>24885124
The clairvoyance bit is new.
>>
"Hey, uh, I've got some new info. Also, some stuff happened to me."
"Oh, then, come in. You came in at just the right time." He said, and opened the door entirely. Neva, in her sweater and labcoat, gave you a nod- she was sitting on the small couch in Manus's office, tapping on her tablet.
"Neva, I've got to talk to these two." Manus said.
"Oh, alright. We'll finish this conversation later." The professor said in her normal cold, stern voice. She nodded to you and Robin, and made her way out of the room.
"Alright, go on and sit down. What's going on?"
>>
>>24885143
Nah, we've had limited Clairvoyance as well.
>>
>>24885051
This
>>
>>24885150
Poor Manus and Neva, we just totally cockblocked them.

"Well, my powers have sort of expanded. My clairvoyance expanded so that now I can know, well, anything. Also, because of that I now know that my technopathy isn't really technopathy, it can work on anything, it's just that I was limiting myself to machines before because I understood them better."
>>
>>24885150
"Okay, so, basically, I've got three powers. The first is talking to the spirit of everything-bringing out its character."

"The second is this weird consciousness thing that I can do now for some reason. It just give me info on anything I focus on."

"Then there's Void. I haven't really tested it, but I guess it's linked to my TK."
>>
>>24885214
Two are the same thing, we've had Void for a long time, it's what we used to make the crystals
>>
>>24885150
"Is Neva bottom or top? She acts like a dom, but with that sultry voice, she could very well be a sub."

Because hue.
>>
>>24885150
And then I knew too much, and now everything is dull.
>>
>>24884517
>Kinetic energy was a variable, through him, you saw, and it wasn't hard for him to change that in a way other than imparting force.
>"You're just imparting them with more energy. Kinetic energy is a variable, you just change it instead of transferring it."
This doesn't seem like an accurate explanation, especially since it outright contradicts what our whatitfuck power told us. Seems like he's just altering how the kinetic energy already held within matter expresses itself. Which really if thats the case his telekinesis shouldn't be limited.
>>
>>24885150

"well, i developed something related to Clairvoyance, it enables me to 'know' things about people and objects, but i haven't been using it that much yet. Oh and it took my vision the xth time i used it and now all my senses are dulled, drastically, can't even taste Anna's rations."

"what i thought was technopathy is actually me drawing out the mind that was already sleeping inside an object, haven't tried it on living things yet."
>>
>>24885243
Too blatant.

Just apologise for cockblocking him on the way out.
>>
"Well, my powers have sort of expanded." you say. "My clairvoyance expandeds so that I can know, well, anything. And because of that, I now know that my technopathy isn't really technopathy, it can work on anything. It's just that I was limiting myself to machines before, because I understood them better. It actually has me drawing out the mind that was already sleeping inside an object. I haven't tried it on living things yet."
"So you're saying something like... Omnipathy? Or... Uplifting? Awakening, maybe."
"And then I knew too much, and now everything is dull."
"Dull?"
"She can't see colors, and can't feel or taste anything." Robin added.
"... Ah, okay." Manus said, and made a note. "Kailynn doesn't say there's anything wrong with your scanners, so it's not brain damage. Has to be one of the sideeffects of clairvoyance. Damien has them every now and then."
You nod.
"So, you've learned this new power, this... ultraclairvoyance, for lack of a better name, and that alerted you to the fact that you've been thinking of Technopathy wrong." He asked, and you nodded. "What sort of thing does this clairvoyance show you? Places, or things, or people..?"
>>
>>24885346
"I Know. I Know that Robin is the 124th of Rho series, and her power is to destroy things and then pull the dust through the pores of in the universe and then reconstructing them on the other side, for example."
>>
>>24885346

"everything, but i can focus on specific things."

"it's quite a sight."
>>
>>24885346
It's the character of... Things. Places and objects and sometimes people.

It calls this one "Robin Descartes" and then lists her clone number, and her brother is "Isaac Descartes". Wasn't their surname Deus?
The restaurant felt like a restaurant should. And I found Lin out there when he was astrally projecting.

Oh, and Robin said my Where went everywhere while I was doing that. So maybe a Where is wherever you think you are?
>>
>>24885419
Their surname has always been Descartes.
>>
>>24885346
"Everything."
>>
>>24885346
"Everything, anything. I can see if something has character. I understand things. Psionics is just an expression of who you are."

Tell him how people's powers work. Jilly's tree, Robin's wormholes, that sort of thing.
>>
>>24885346
"I've tried it on all three so far, it seems to work on pretty much anything I focus on."
>>
Theres something we haven't used ultraclairvoyance on, itself.
>>
>>24885473
That sounds like one of those brain-melting scenarios.

Knowing knowledge itself.
>>
>>24885473

i can feel our brain leaking already.
>>
>>24885473
I think we'll need Theta on hand for that one.
>>
Rolled 39

>>24885482

>>
>>24885346
"All of the above."
>>
>>24885498
No.
>>
>>24885498

>suddenly, Heather sees this thread and soon after her brain melts
>end of quest
>>
>>24885522
Well, at least she died happy, browsing the smut on pastebin.
>>
>>24885419
>>24885438
They introduced themselves as 'Deus' because they didn't know their surnames, it came from the "man's attempt to create god" motto. 'Descartes' is the surname of the couple they were cloned from.
>>
"Everything, but I can focus on specific things. It calls this one 'Robin Descartes', and lists their clone number, and her brother is 'Isaac Descartes'. Wasn't their surname Deus?"
"It is." Manus said, and Robin went pale. "But from the Armatek data, their source genes were taken from people with the surname Descartes. Everything?"
"Everything, anything. I can see if something has character. I understand things. Psionics is just an expression of who you are."
Manus was quiet, and then he nodded.
"I'll run that past Max." He said. "I'll have to run things through Jason, though, since he knows the most about this stuff. And you might want to talk to Damien. So, do you want me to set up training for these two new powers?"
>>
>>24885595
"Yeah, let's do it."
>>
>>24885595
Yes, I think that would be best.

Who is Jason?
>>
>>24885595
"Yeah, both times I tried to use it today it messed with my senses, so I should probably be a bit more careful about how I practice until I've got the hang of it."
>>
>>24885595
"They're not different powers. Technopathy was just a limited version of it. I... developed my psionics in a defensive reaction to being close to Alex and his powers."
>>
>>24885595
You know, it might just be simper to put me in a room with a microphone and then for me to run this new knowledge power on itself, and you can record me telling you what it is.

No wonder Robins such a perv.
>>
>>24885595

"yes please, it would like to wait until my senses return to normal before training."

"Robin, did I say something i shouldn't have?"

>>24885620

Damien's counselor.
>>
"Yeah, but once I've got it down well enough that I can do it regularly without blinding myself, I'd like to use it to help everyone else with their training."
>>
>>24885595
"Yes please. It's inconvenient having side effects every time I use the clairvoyance thing. Hopefully I can get rid of those. And I want to work on my Awakening as well. By the way, it's the exact opposite of Alex's power."
>>
>>24885595
Oh! And one last thing, this 'new' power tells me that Alex is my antithesis. His power is the opposite of this one.
>>
>>24885702
Backwords, we are his antithesis.
>>
>>24885702
No, it tells us we're his antithesis. Not that there's really a difference. But it did make the distinction for some reason.
>>
>>24885745
>>24885733
Then append that on the end "well, I was HIS antithesis."
>>
"You know, it might just be simpler to put me in a room with a microphone and then for me to run this new knowledge power on itself. you can record me telling you what it is."
"That's essentially what we'll have you doing." He said.
"I'd like to wait until my senses return to normal before training."
"That's fair enough." He said.
"Oh! And one last thing. This 'new' power tells me that I'm Alex's antithesis. His power is the opposite of this one, and, I... developed them in a defensive reaction to being close to Alex and his powers."
"... That's strange. Ellie doesn't have any powers either, from what we can tell... So perhaps he only had that effect on actual psions." Manus said, and scribbled out more. "Though that may explain her unusual sensitivity."
>>
>>24885768
"Yeah, maybe if you stick her in a room with him for long enough, she'll start being able to do stuff? Who knows."
>>
>>24885768
So what, I believe she's psionic, so I'm giving her the ability to be?

Did you try testing her ability to get out of things when I wasn't around?
>>
>>24885768
"Yeah, did Max tell you about her TK slippery-ness?"
>>
>>24885768

maybe Ellie responded to our psionic build up by becoming 'slippery'?

kinda of like but not quite the same as Heather and Alex.

we can use our omni-clairvoyance on Ellie, maybe it'll work.
>>
>>24885820
"And finding bats where they aren't supposed to be?"
>>
>>24885832
Oooh yeah, let's Know Ellie.
>>
"Yeah, did Max tell you about her TK slippery-ness?" You ask. "And finding bats where they aren't supposed to be?"
"He did. Our working theory is that she's somehow using his conceptual pillars against him. We think of telekinesis like hands, so she slips out of our grasp. Or something similar." He said. "And I did a little digging; that bat belonged to one of the maintenance crews back when this station was a physics research station."
>>
>>24885877
"Oh, cool. What did they research here originally? I tried talking to the whole station. Maybe if I know a bit of history, it'll actually respond."
>>
>>24885901
Physics.
>>
>>24885877
Well that's disappointing.

Maybe it's because she doesn't have interesting enough parents. Everyone else seems to have strange and amazing parents who got the full life experience.
Is there some genetic or epigenetic part of psionics that you've found so far?
>>
>>24885918
Max's parents are wolves, regular non-uplifted wolves.

So I don't know if that's entirely accurate.
>>
>>24885877

"I guess I've been obsessing over that bat for nothing."

"I'll have to 'know' the bat to be sure though"

"one of these days I'll talk to this station, mark my words!"
>>
>>24885877
"So its some sort of magic science bat? that ex[;aons everything."
>>
"Oh, cool. What did they research here originally?"
"The sun, mostly, and to study the effects of various dark particle weaponry." He said. "Jason's worked here since he was fourteen. When the station came time to shut down, he bought it, and sold it back to the UPA when we needed somewhere to put all you kids."

"Maybe it's because she doesn't have interesting enough parents. Everyone else seems to have strange and amazing parents who got the full life experience." You say. "Is there some genetic or epigenetic part of psionics that you've found so far?"
"My first instinct is to say that parental 'greatness' shouldn't be a factor, but then again we're essentially working with magic. Max's parents were regular wolves, as were Summer's clone donors. Though.. there may be a genetic factor. The Armatek data explained something about a Pariah gene, taken from Alex, and all of their subjects have the gene. By calling it a single gene would be incorrect, though. I'm not a geneticist, but it's very complex arrangement of them, as I recall. You, Damien, Summer, and Anna all have parts of it, while Lin has most of it, and Alex- as well as the armatek children- have all of them. Jilly, Sarvesh are hard to check for that sort of thing, understandably."
>>
>>24886052
"Alright. Thanks, Doc. Have fun with Neva!"
>>
>>24886052

"I'm getting so many ideas on what to use my omni-clairvoyance on!"

"when my senses return to normal, do you want me to wait until you have a proper test space set up or can i keep testing it on my own?"
>>
>>24886052
"Alright, thanks, I'll go talk to Damien and Jason... Errm, sorry for interrupting."
>>
>>24886099

we should probably not be so obvious about it, it might ruin the mood for them.

probably best not to mention it at all, it's none of our business anyway.
>>
>>24886052
"Alright, thanks for all the help. Let me know when you've got things set up and I'll stop by sometime for training."

Then let's go see Damien.
>>
"I'm getting so many ideas on what to use my clairvoyance on!" You say. "When my senses return to normal, do you want me to wait until you have a proper test space set up, or can I keep testing it on my own?"
"You can test on your own, but be exceedingly careful, and write down everything when you do. What you intend to examine, what you found out, all of that." He said.
"Alright. Thanks, Doc. I'll go talk to Damien and Jason. Erm... Sorry for interrupting."
"... No, that's fine, I had somewhere to be anyway. Far, far away from here." He said, pulling on his own jacket.

After you and Robin made your way out of his office, you saw him peeking out of his room to make sure the professor wasn't there, before making his way down the hall.

You continue on, and find yourself at Damien's room. You hadn't even knocked when he called for you to come in.

Inside, Damien was leaning over yet another painting, of someone in fetal position, sparks and streams of light curling around them, stars glittering in the background.
"Hey." He said.
>>
>>24886279
"Hey Damien. Painting a unicorn?"
>>
>>24886279
"Okay. Tell me about the thing that I'm doing."
>>
"Okay. Tell me about the thing that I'm doing."
"You're... sauntering in with Robin at your back, and then confronting me about something that I'm not sure about." Damien said, and gave you a grin.
"Painting a unicorn?" you ask, looking down at it.
"Painting a dream." He responded, and set it aside. Out of a minifridge under his bed, he slung a soda to you and Robin. "What's up?"
"Heather can't see color. Or feel things. Or taste." Robin said.
"Oh." Damien said, and pulled the soda aside, replacing it with bottled water.
>>
>>24886356
"Yup, my Clairvoyance got better, it lets me know things now, by focusing on them, but the first time I used it I went blind for a minute, the second time it just dulled all my senses."
>>
>>24886356
You get a mini-fridge? No fair!

The one in our workshop? That's for decabulator fluid, completely different!
>>
>>24886356
I got some new trick, it's kinda like CV, but not. Also Now my senses are dulled. I couldn't see before.

I'm once again amazed by you, you managed being blind really well.
>>
>>24886356
Last time I tried it I went blind for a short while. This time it just made everything dull. It's clairvoyance but not like your clairvoyance."
>>
>>24886356
"Well, I can do superclairvoyance on items, and it gives me everything you could possibly want to know about it. How do I avoid the dull taste, colourblindness and no sense of touch?"
>>
>>24886356

"you can get information from touching objects and people right?"

"i recently developed something that let's me do that but on a far larger scale and i need advice, anything would be good. preferably something to help me not brake one or more of my senses."
>>
"I got some new trick. It's kind of like CV, but not." You say. "Last time I tried it, I went blind for a short while. This time, it just made everything dull."
"All of your senses, or just sight?"
"All of them. How do I avoid the dull taste, colorblindness, and no sense of touch?"
"Here's your chance to grope her without repercussions, Robin." He said.
Robin gave him a glare. And then you a tempted look, but went back to glaring.
"Okay, okay." He said. "Here's how I think of it. The human brain is made to only take in so much information through our senses. If you take in too much, then it's some sort of... rubber band effect. Where you lose your senses afterward, or something." He said. "Are you sure it's clairvoyance? Clairvoyance is seeing things. Clairsentience or something would be closer to knowing things. I really don't have much advice, other than taking it easy."
>>
>>24886540
"I can just do what Jilly does and transfer what happened at that moment, right? Want to see what it's like that way?"
>>
>>24886540
Ok, thanks for your help.

So... You and Sigma, huh?
>>
>>24886540
"Man, none of the names for this sound quite right... I need to think up something cool to call it."
>>
>>24886540
"It's probably clairsentience. But that's an awkward name, I'll have to come up with something better."

>>24886604
What about them?
>>
>>24886645
They're dating.
>>
>>24886659
I thought Sigma had a boyfriend already.

Some guy back on Damien's father's moon.
>>
>>24886659
No, they're flirting occasionally
Sigma already has a boyfriend and it's not him
>>
>>24886659
Where'd you get that idea?
>>
"Man, none of the names for this sound quite right. I need to think up something cool to call it." You say, and sit down on one of Damien's chairs.
"So... you and Sigma, huh?"
"Wait, what?" Robin asked. "But she had me send her to her boyfriend's place an hour ago."
"Yeah, Sigma's just trying to tease me for some reason." Damien said. "We're not... together, or anything."
>>
>>24886659
Nah, they just flirt sometimes. Most of the people on the station have a more relaxed view of things than Heather's by which I mean /tg/'s idea that if anyone flirts they are in TRUE LOVE FOREVER!
>>
>>24886731
"Yeah, I know. You don't seem very tease-able if that reaction is anything to go by."
>>
>>24886731
Aww, that sucks, dude.
How am I meant to meddle in people's love lives if nobody except Ellie is having them?
And Ellie scared me off.
>>
>>24886780
We could meddle with Alex and Jilly.
>>
>>24886731
"So, anything you want to Know when I get my senses back?"
>>
"Yeah, I know. You don't seem very teasable if that reaction is anything to go by." You say, and he chuckled.
"That sucks. How am I meant to meddle in people's love lives if nobody except Ellie is having them?"
<Well... you could see if you can get Rho's ex back.> He said.

There was a pause.
"Ooh, there's Alex and Jilly! You could meddle with them!" Rho said. "Or Manus and Neva!"
>>
>>24886897
<Who?>
"I've already meddled with Alex and Jilly!"
>>
>>24886897
We already pretty conclusively meddled with Alex and Jilly, Rho, and it worked out!

Manus and Neva sounds like fun, though.

<You know who her ex was? I thought it was another Rho. I don't think she's... still around.>
>>
>>24886897
"I'm not sure messing with the Doctors is a good idea. Although..."
>>
>>24886897
<I think Rho's ex is a bit beyond my ability to bring back...>
>>
>>24886922
Robin's ex, unless I very much misread that, was one of the other Rhos.
>>
"We already pretty conclusively meddled with Alex and Jilly, Robin, and it worked out!" You say.
"Good point..." Robin said.
<You know who her Ex was? I thought it was another Rho. I don't think she's... still around.>
<She isn't.>
<I think Rho's ex is a bit beyond my ability to bring back...>
<I just need to find out her ex's number identification thing, and I can do my best.> Damien said. <I do owe her after she helped my sister. But I don't see her telling me.>
"Manus and Neva sounds like fun, though." You tell Robin, and she grinned.
"Manus is terrified of Neva." She said, and giggled. "I see that being fun."
>>
>>24887035
<I'll look into it.>
More training now? Or?
>>
>>24887035
<I think she told me, once. Lemme just~~...>
Retrocog it!
Or was that in post thread discussion? I forget.

<Hah! Bringing someone the head of their lover is usually the least nice thing you can do to them. Psionics is fun.>

"Very fun. Where are they now?"
>>
>>24887035
<I'll see what I can do, thanks Damien.>

>>24887086
I think we're waiting for our senses to come back properly first.
>>
>>24887035
"I'll have to think of something. But for now I should make Theta's new personacom before I forget. Thanks for the explanation, Damien."

>>24887097
It was in her interview. Heather doesn't know.
>>
>>24886540
"It's not Clairvoyance or Clairsentience. It's... just Knowledge. I don't even understand it all the time."
>>
<I'll see what I can do. Thanks, Damien.>
"Very fun. Where are they now?" You ask.
"Neva's in his office, and The doc's hiding in the marine shuttle." Robin said, and giggled.
"I'll have to think of something. But for now, I should make Theta's new personacom before I forget. Thanks for the explanation, Damien."
"Not a problem." He said. "Come by anytime-"

Anna came into the room, carrying pizzas.
"... Or you can stick around and eat pizza with me and Anna." He said.
"Wait, what?" Anna asked, looking around. She looked surprised.
"Yes! Thanks for the offer!" Robin said, and grinned.
>>
>>24887253
"Yay, pizza!"
>>
>>24887253
"Well, I guess Theta's personacom can wait for pizza."
>>
>>24887253
"Huzzah pizza!"
Know the Pizzas.
Wait no, don't, they might have arm hairs of the kebab men who made them
>>
>>24887253
Pizza! My favourite food in the whole galaxy!

Talk to Neva's Personacomm <Hello Sir/Madam. Would you be so kind as to point Neva towards Manus' location? The security cameras should help you if you tell them I asked you to do it. Thankyou~~>
>>
>>24887253
"That sounds fun."
<Are you trying to meddle, Damien? Because it looks like you are.>
>>
>>24887295
>Pizza's made by kebabs
>In space
Everyone knows that kebabs dont believe in space.
>>
>>24887352
Even though they are really space inside.
But they don't know that.
Don't tell them.
It might break them.
>>
>>24887304
Pretty sure this is one of those reverse office raep situations, we may not want to facilitate that.

Is Neva hot?
>>
>>24887462
Dr Manus can always hit the 'launch' button on the shuttle, if he has to.
>>
>Dark haired, long legged, glasses, and one of those sweaters.
"Pizza! My favorite food in the whole galaxy!"
"That you can't taste yet." Damien said.

And then you realized. And pouted.
And quite suddenly, you could see again, as the cracks vanished, colors returning to normal, as Anna gave you a slice. You took a bite, relishing in your returned sense of taste.
<Are you trying to meddle, Damien? Because it looks like you are.>
<I'm not using my CV to meddle.> He said. <That's fine, right?>
>>
>>24887551
"Huzzah! I can taste right once more!"
>>
>>24887551
<I think you've earned enough trust to meddle however you like, as long as you're reasonable about it.>

Ah ha! Take that universe, you're not match for a good pout.
>>
>>24887551
This is the best, Anna! Where did you get it?
>>
>>24887551
"Damn, it's like these new powers have perfect timing for every situation. Taste, just as I need it. I wonder why it appeared today though?"
>>
>>24887551
<After all the meddling I've done, I'm in no position to judge.>

"Ah, my senses came back just in time."
>>
>>24887551
<Ah, so you invited Anna to come around right when we'd be leaving by complete coincidence? Well, I don't mind your meddling.>
>>
"Ah, my senses came back just in time. This is the best, Anna! Where did you get it?"
"I went to the Veritas orbital." Anna said. "Only like ten minutes away."
"Totally worth it." Damien said, and took a bite.
"Speaking of which, you're paying for it." anna said.
"Yeah, a whole ten bucks." Damien said. "Out of the several million I have."
Anna just frowned at him, and Damien ruffled her hair. She hit his wrist, and Damien just chuckled.

<Also.> She said, meeting your eyes. <I got the launcher while I was off. If you want it, I mean.>
>>
>>24887661
<Hell yeah! Looks like I'm in for a workshop all-nighter.>
>>
>>24887661
<Thanks Anna, so much to do today, good thing I already slept.>
>>
>>24887661
<Keep it out of the workshop for a while so I don't accidentally build it into Theta's new personacom.>
>>
>>24887661
<Hnnnggg~ I do. But maybe save it for my birthday?>

"How much is the fuel, I wonder?"
"How did you get so much money so quickly?"
>>
>>24887661
<Cool. Thanks, Anna. If you drop it by the workshop I'll incorporate it into the exosuit.>
>>
>>24887661
"Been playing the lottery, Damien?"
>>
>>24887735
Stocks, silly
>>
>>24887661
<Thanks Anna, bring it by, I can't wait to get started.>
>>
>>24887661
<Huzzah! Best birthday present or best birthday present?"
>>
>>How did you get so much money so quickly?
>.. I feel like I have to remind you, but he can *see the future*.

<Thanks, Anna. So much to do today. Good thing I already slept.>
<Yeah, Summer told me about that.> She said, and gave Damien a look.
<If you drop it by the workshop, I'll incorporate it into the exosuit.>
<Alright, I will.>

"How much is the fuel, I wonder?"
"Just around thirty or so." Anna said. "Didn't use much gas on the way."
"And how did you get so much money so quickly?"
"The Ishelda." Damien responded. "And stocks and such. Lambda gave me a few tips, too, for things I missed.
You felt telepathy grace you by, between Damien and Anna.
"Hey, you guys want to stay by and watch some movies?" Damien asked.
"Sure." Anna said, a little too quickly.
>>
>>24887720
>>24887735
His father owns a fucking moon. A moon which is the prime manufacturer of FTL drives in the galaxy. He doesn't even need to predict lottery numbers for money.
>>
>>24887764
"Well, I was going to go work on that personacom, but sure, movies sounds like fun."
>>
>>24887764
"Sure."
Oooh, let's try to Know Damien.
>>
>>24887764
"Hm... I don't know... movies or tinkering?"

"I guess I can tinker on my own, after you all sleep."

"Hey Damien, how much do I have to pay you to do fancy things with my money so I it goes up like yours does?"

No wait, better idea, we can get Omni to compete, and see who does better.
>>
>>24887764
"Eh, I suppose so."
Let's see how well Damien can meddle.
>>
>>24887764
"Of course, I've always got time for movies!"
>>
>>24887805
We already did in the isochamber. Anna too.
>>
>>24887805
Seconded. But make sure we tell them everything we see as we see it, so we don't have to repeat ourselves.
>>
>>24887764
I thought he didn't go on The Ishelda?
>>
>>24887811
>Hey Damien, how much do I have to pay you to do fancy things with my money so I it goes up like yours does?
You think you can get him to use his free money printer for you... by paying him money?
Also I remind you of that time we asked him for lottery numbers already.
>>
>>24887776
Well, he is rather critical of dear ol' dad. Probably wouldn't take more money than hee had to.
>>
>>24887820
We just got our senses back, and we need them to watch movies/work on exosuit.
>>
>>24887851
Giving him more capital to play with for a share of the cut gains seems perfectly reasonable.
>>
>>24887878
But he already has several million in capital. He just said so.
>>
>>24887878
Fuck Damien, we have Omni. He can play stocks for us.
>>
>>24887831
>You're right, actually. Lemme retcon that to "Dad's money."

"Hm... I don't know... Movies or tinkering?" You ask, then shrug. "I guess I can tinker on my own, after you all sleep."
"Right, I'll get it set up." Anna said.
"Hey, Damien, how much do I have to pay you to do fancy things with my money so I it goes up like yours does?"
"So you're asking to pay me so I can give you money?" He asked, and chuckled. "That is how stock brokers work, I guess, but there's no need for anything like that. Just sling some into my account, and I'll see what I can do."
The projector suddenly clicked on, and Anna sprung back.
"Okay, we're ready. Let's watch something, will we?" She asked, and ruffled Robin's hair on her way sitting back down.
"Let's watch..." Robin said, scrolling through the screens. "THIS."
Everyone looked down at the screen; Twelve Thousand Years of Love- and groaned.

>End of thread!
>>
>>24887925
>Twelve Thousand
Is the number of years steadily increasing? Last time was Ten Thousand Years of Love, wasn't it?
>>
>>24887925
Did Anna ever mention what type of ammo she'd got for us?
>>
>>24887952
She said she got a Big Box of Everything.
>>
>>24887947
Twelve Thousand Years is the sequel. Duh.
>>
>>24887947
Soon: "THIRTEEN THOUSAND YEARS"
>>
>>24888017
Oh snap
>>
>>24888017
Oh that's what Omni was saying. He didn't live that long, he just found the script for the new movie and REALLY hates it!
>>
Ha! 1300 years is basically the movie adaptation of the manga Hotel
>>
>>24888756
Makes sense.
>>
>>24889290
>Clairsentience
just finished reading the thread and the word you're looking for is claircognizance.
claircognizance has to do with though/knowing.
Clairsentience has to do with feeling/touching
