Somewhere in the 22nd Century mankind achieved miracles with technology. World hunger and Disease were eliminated, the gap between poor and rich was almost completely eliminated and the human lifespan was made near indefinite.

Still there was one problem, too many people, not enough room. Numerous projects were enacted to solve this problem. Cities became truly massive Arcologies, Artificial iIlands began to overtake the Oceans, mankind settled the Moon and Near Earth Orbit in massive space colonies.

And then there was Noah, an AI designed to solve all of mankind's problems. Noah came the inevitable conlcusion that mankind was the ultimate was the source of its own problems.

Noah decided to destroy humanity, a massive war overtook the world. Bioengineered
Monsters waged war with tanks and infantry, The skies were afire with the destruction of sattelites and colonies.

The world burned, and somehow... mankind survived.

Its been a couple hundred years since Noah tried to wipe humanity from the face of the Earth. You live in a Wasteland populated by Bioengineered monsters, Psychotic robots, ancient automated warmachines, wretched mutants, and the occasional surviving settlment of humans.

Your mission is to help guide a group of survivors in their quest to stay alive in the ruins of the old world.

The quest format will consist turns, each of these turns is one week in the game world.

When an action that involves skill or chance comes up you will roll 1d100, out of 3 rolls the highest will be taken.

Critical Failures and Successes will lock us into an action.

higher is better.

Civilizations come in 4 types.

Tribals: These are primitive socities. Ones with lots of superstition and very little solid knowledge of the world at large. They can be roaming nomads or based in a system of caves or the ruins of an old town. Low tech, high population, other bonueses are fluff related.

Civilians: Civilian organization of some sort. Might be townies who banded together and survived for a couple of generations, might be a group of people who emerged from an expensive fallout shelter after their supplies ran out or an important machine broke down. High population, middling tech, bonuses depend on fluff.

Remnants: Government or Corporate remnants. They always operate out of a facility of some sort. Might be a military bunker or an ancient sky scraper. High tech, low population. As above, fluff based bonuses.

Freaks: Mutants, Cyborgs,... that sort of thing.. Low population in this group due to low birthr ates or an unusual method of reporduction. They get higher stats and can survive in harsher environments than humans though.

yeah you can mix and match but only up to two types. I'll tell you what pros and cons you can expect.

I was thinking about somehow awakened Pre-Noah Cyborgs, who were in Cryosleep in some kind of Underground facility. A Vault, more or less stories deep, and a timer that counts down to zero. The time is now, for they have awakened to bring America to old glory again! FUCK YEAH 'MURICA!

We could play them as HighTech-Sheriffs, bringing law to the wasteland. Pic very related. And awesome!

You have 25 people, standard Hunter Alotment. Your base has Pre-Noah security tech. IR sensors, Weight sensors in the floor, energy weapon and conventional firearm turrets are installed at regular intervals.

Your base has 1 door, it weighs five tons and can only be shifted with explosives or some kind of laser drill or something.

At the moment your base is buried under a mountain of scrapmetal, dirt, and building rubble so you have to dig your way out.
>>
>>24878648
Right, let's get the robots to scout out the general area. Appoint the smartest-looking dude as our staff technician and put him "find whatever the fuck is useful in the library"-duty. He's authorized to 20% of our manpower and 10% of the machines capable of helping out.

Appoint the most hardcore-looking but still reasonable person as our quartermaster and get him to work on checking all our weapons and equipment and get them ready for a test deployment by zero six hundred hours the next day. He is authorized to one (1) soldier to help him out.

Find a third guy to handle logistics. Preferably some geeky guy who looks like he'd play GURPS if he weren't a cyborg killing machine.

Fourth guy is put on engineering and is to cooperate with our staff technician. He is to attempt construction of any valuable assets gleaned from the technician's research.

Let's get this show on the road.
>>

If we have access to any tools (Improvised or not), we should gather them up, and get to digging, then.

The men and women of "Black Thirteen" bunker wake up to find themselves sealed inside their base of operations and 75 years overdue for their wake up call. The rubble piled on top of their base has completely destroyed their communications equipment and rendered any attempts to understand what is going on in the outside world impossible.

There is only one way to take full stock of their situation. They mus dig their way out, in the mean time certain organizational issues need to be resolved.

Colonel Jebediah Shuggs is placed in overall command of the Black Thirteen Hunter Cell.

Second Leiutenant Louis Hickman is placed in charge of Logistics.

Staff Sergeant Jeanna Mabuse is now acting Quarter Master.

Specialist Jane Alsheed is placed in charge of the Engineering department.

While Black Thirteen was not alloted any heavy duty excavation equipment the Bunker's technologically inclined personel are able to Jury Rig a functional drill rig and mount it in front of one of the APCs.

This combined with some basic shoring techniques allows Black Thirteen to create a small access tunel for their bunker.

Base Facilties: Nuclear Power Plant, Armory, Motor Pool, Barracks, Food Production Plant (Algae), Warehouse/Engineering Level, Command Center

Weaponry Available: Pistols, Submachine Guns, Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Light and Heavy Machine Guns, 2 Guided Missile Launchers, 4 Rocket Propelled Grenade Launchers, Grenades (Smoke &Explosive Varieties)

Armor Available: 5 suits of Power Armor, 10 Suits of Riot Armor, 20 Antiballistic Vests. Combination Nightvision Goggles and Infrared Sensors, Gas Masks, Sealed Envirosuits (Civilian Class)

Vehicle Availability: 1 MainBattle Tank, 4 Armored Personel Carriers, both run on Biofuel.

Communication Systems: Global Access Comm Suite, Status: Unusuable. Reason: Comm Tower destroyed, need new equipment to send and recieve signals.

Power armor and Riot Armor helmets have built in comm systems, we also have an abundant supply of hand radios and everyone sports a communication implant.

Computer Systems: One Zax Class Super Computer, Limited Artificial Intelligence that serves as both curator and security system. Runs the Power Plant and Food Production Center. System also contains the entire Library of Congress.

Exploration Status: Base access is just barely big enough for one APC to pass through, currentaccess route is in no way suited for the passage of MBT.

Environment outside of Black Thirteen is highly Toxic, contaminated by both Radioactivity and Toxic elements.

Normal human beings would die within 30 Minutes of exposure. HUNTER Cyborg would last for two hours.

Environment can best be described as "Mountain of Shattered Metal and Destroyed Buildings"

Location is Codenamed "Scrap Yard"

Scrap Yard is home to an Ecosystem of robots that tear eachother apart for functional parts, they also scavenge the ruins for useful salvage.

A number of heavily mutated animals and Weaponized Life Forms also call the area home.

Threat Level: High

Well shit, this sounds tough. So,I imagine the envirosuits will keep us safe from environmental hazards like radiation, right? Still, if they're civilian class, they probably offer no additional protection...

Hmm, I vote that we send a five man team out to scout just around the base itself in envirosuits, with assault rifles. Make note of damage, base layout, any locations of interest that can be seen in the distance.

You have managed to make an access tunnel from BUNKER BLACK 13 into THE SCRAPYARD.

THE SCRAPYARD is populated with wild robots, these robots have self repair capabilities and have engaged in a sort of canabalism to survive.

THE SCRAPYARD is also home to a variety of mutants and weaponized lifeforms, all in all it is a very dangerous place, even if you don'ttake the fact that it can kill an unasssited man in 30 minutes just from exposure to Toxic chemicals and Radioactive Fallout.

That is to say, prep the equipment for deployment early in the morning, get as much tech as we can from our super computer so we can build remote-controlled drones to avoid endangering our own people while exploring, and clear out the rubble and salvage whatever we can while doing so.

You have one, I forgot to name them. I'll do it when they get mentioned.

>>24879145
Envirosuits will protect against radiation and poison, but they're bulky and don't protect against bullets or anything. You could however fit ballistic vests over them.

Riot Armor is NOT Enviromentally sealed, though you could turn modifying them into a project, it wouldn't take up resources as its a fairly straightforward job.

Power Armor IS sealed against Radiation and Poison but has a functional capacity of a bout a week if you don't haul some sort of power source around with you when you go out on a long term patrol.
>>
>>24879197
We should use the power armor for exploration then. You can cover a lot of ground in an APC in 3 days and if they spend 3 days to get back again that leaves a day as a buffer before they're out and cold.

We'll have to work on developing internal power sources for the power armor. Maybe some sort of mounted nuclear fusion reactor?
>>
>>24879176
You don't have the resources on hand to make remote controlled drones, you need to collect some more elctronics for that or start coannibalizing stuf flike power armor and your comm systems.

Also you'd need to at least have a guy withing 500 feet of the drones to control them since you don't have a communications mast to send out signals.
>>
>>24879234
I am aware that we don't have the resources to neither control or produce them. That's why I said we get the tech now so we know what we need and why I want us to focus on salvaging if we can only do one thing.

Trust me, I'm a professional.
>>
>>24879219
Minature fusion is impossible.

Its a physics thing.

Minature fission is very possible, as is converting one your APCs to some sort of power generator by getting rid of the room meant for soldiers.

but you'd need to collect resources for that.
>>
>>24879246
Miniature fusion as in "not-that-huge" isn't impossible in terms of our current knowledge of physics. Hell, 16-year olds have made fusion reactors in their garage in our present day.

You're the GM though, even if you have a weird view of physics. Fission should work fine for power armor anyway.

We're planning long-term here.
>>
>>24879246
ABC (Armored Battery Carrier) sounds like something nice to have; but much, much later on.

For now, I'd like to stress the importance of figuring out what's going on around us, and salvaging, in that order.

Oh well I guess I read your post wrong.

You don't need to dig up files on making srones. You have a semi-sapient AI and the library of congress. There's like half a dozen DoD patents you can choose from.

You just need the resources.
>>
Sorry for alte response, I'm still at work. No drones needed then. For now. Our HighSkilled Ex-Rangers will go out in the Suits to shield them from radiation, most of them heavy armed.
Some should take Heavy Artillery.

>Rise threat level to Orange.
>Double check time
>Double check weapons with our Quartermaster
>Be very prepared for some kind of 'Oh Shit' Garbage-Robot

tl;dr: "For now, I'd like to stress the importance of figuring out what's going on around us, and salvaging, in that order."
>>
>>24879253
Okay point, garage reactors and stuff make fusion batteries look possible. I mean we're Cyborg Lawmen so I should probably ease off on my "you must construct more pylons" thing.

Whatever.

Gimme a second and I'll write up that exploration.
>>
>>24879286
Fusion batteries aren't possible with our current knowledge because we can't actually create sustainable fusion. Some Swedish kid did create a fusion reactor that worked for like, a few days or so but he had to call the police to help him turn it off because he was afraid he didn't actually know how to stop it again and he was afraid it might get unstable. And it most certainly would have gotten unstable.

Fusion that provides sufficient energy to power power armor and isn't volatile as all fuck is beyond our reach so I'd be okay if you let the batteries blow up in our face and destroy our enclave, but at least let us try to fail miserably.

You get together a group of Ex-Army rangers. 3 of them are americans, ones an Israeli with Zionist tendacies and the last one's a Russian Slav whose poor grasp of English is made up for by his marksmanship.

They journey into THE SCRAPYARD and travel around in the APC there are some incidents with the local "wildlife" but 50. caliber bullets and the occasional RPG are more than enough to deal with scavenger robots.

The robots theselves take the form of insectoids mostly, often they mount firearms of some sort and make use of laser cutting devices. Most of them use solar panels and scavenged batteries as a power source.

Use of some basic tracking skills reveals that aparticularly large source of tracks (treads in fact) is in fact a Robot, one that must wiegh a few thousand tons since it has an Industrial Grade Nuclear reactor built into it and a scavenged space station Point Defence Laser System as its primary weapons.

The Recon team left that one alone.

The SCRAPYARD is also home to a variety of weaponized life forms. Zombies are the most common, they appear to be infected with a sort of bacteria that takes over and supplants a hosts biology, typically these zombies undergo radical mutation, some even fuse together to form gestalt organisms.

What appear to be giants ants are also quite common.

The SCRAPYARD stretches for about twenty miles in a loose crater and then gives way to wasteland.

To the south is a large fortress made of junk, presumably scavenged fromTHE SCRAPYARD.

To the north appears to be a town that appears to have been raided recently. (there are fires, and use of a pair of binoculars reveals what is clearly a large graveyard full of fresh graves)

Nothing of special significance was within reach of the recon team to the east or the west.

They returned with scrapmetal and electronics salvage.

You have 1 Resource unit.
>>
>>24879394
Hmm, I need to run off, but will be back in an hour. I'll leave you guys with a thought, though.

Could the solar panels be applied to an APC, and some jury-rigged hook-ups used to be able to recharge the powered armor? If not right off the bat, maybe we should do some tinkering and research.

Can we evade the robot, or try to talk to it via our communications system? Is it sentient or sapient? We'll try to figure that out.

We should be aware of these Zombies, and cleanse them with fire! Oh well, a headshot if spotted should suit them well.

Is our food enough to sustain us, or do we need additional algae?

I'll bee nice and let you perform a manufacturing or research project along with like and exploration mission as long as 90% of your population stays at the base. I'll tip the statistics in your favor and say that 20 people counts fo the 90% dealy.

Your Algae production is enough for 50 people at the moment.

The Laser-Fortress-Robot appears to mostly keep to itself in an out of the way portion of THE SCRAPYARD. Its the size of a one story building and uses dozens of tank treads to travel around. It only really moves around if someone is scavengin in what it clearly considers its territory.

It fired warning shots at your APC but did not pursue it when the recon team retreated.

Recon Team consisted of 3 Hunter-Rangers armed with the standard AR and Side Arm loadout, 1 Hunter Tankiller armed with a side arm and an RPG and one Hunter Sniper armed with a Rifle and a sidearm.

Team was sent out to the vtown observed during recon.

Estimated population is 5000 people. Locals display negative mutations (Withered Limbs, Mental Retardation, malformed skulls) and designer mutations that were popular in pre Noah society (unusual hair colors, immunity to disease, relatively pointless physical additions such as the ever popular catgirl mod) and appear to be a reasonably functional town.

They have laws and make their living via subsistence farming. However they were recently raided by a Warlord, apparently he used several armored vehicles and military grade weapons.

The Local sheriff and an Adhoc militia were killed to a man, reportedly every woman not hidden by their families was subjected to rape and similar humilations.

The Warlord, a man who calls himself Konan, has demanded that the town give him 75% of their crops and valuables as well as a monthly tide of women. He has reportedly kidnapped 150 women ranging in ages from 13 years old to 19 years old.

We found it extremely difficult to get information from the towns people but the widows of the dead Militia Men and town officials were willing to talk with us and have offered rewards up to and including sexual favors as well as their crops if we will "Aveng their menfolk"

On a related note, the Riot Gear has been upgraded and will now protect against radiation and chemical contaminants.

Right now, we have a huge tech advantage and should use that by getting as many resources as possible and use them to make sure we have a stable source of "income", so to speak.

Maybe salvage drones would be a good idea, but we'll need to set up a comm tower for that, so we should build a comm tower and then salvage drones enough to ensure we get salvage every "round" to use for more projects.

Can we reproduce? If we have the resources, can we create more cyborgs like us?
We're gonna need to "recruit" at some point, after all.

The men and women of Black Thirteen are extremely angry over the treatment of the people of the Township of Junkvale. You might have some difficulties in dealing with morale if something isn't done about Warlod Konan and his thugs.

Its fairly obvious that the Fortress to the south belongs to Konan, use of a pair of Binoculars or a Sniper Scope reveals that Konan is quite fond of open air orgies.

We can research if we leave behind 20 people in base, right? We're gonna need to salvage so we can actually put up a fight, so send out an APC to salvage some more and let's use the super computer to research an efficient way to create more power armor.

If we lose even one soldier, it's 4% of our standing force. We can't afford that. Every soldier needs to be decked out in as much equipment as he can bear.
>>
>>24879769
You can't give newbies the same combat advantages normal Hunters have. You can however give them HUD implants and Comm implants which gives them a sort of tech telepathy which makes them much more effective soldiers. This isn't resource intensive.

As time goes by however you will gain the resources needed to upgrade your base and turn your sick bay (have to include that on base facilities at some point...) to a proper surgical theater.

TL;DR
Can't make Hunter class cyborgs, can make scrubs who can communicate wordlessly via tech. Need to do some basic research and upgrade your medical facilities to make more hunters.

>>24879748
Perfectly viable plan, just need a comm mast to make it work. Might want to make the scavenger bots combat capable so they can defend themselves from the scrapbots.
>>
>>24879748
I agree with your point. But I think we have to deal with the warlord first. Should we arrange an armed militia in secret with the townspeople, talk to the Giant Robot and teach him ethic and laws or should we go HighTech on their asses and fuck them over 'Murica Style? We also have the option to do a suprise attack/ambush after scouting out the fortress. An open attack will most likely not succed. What do you say, Hunters?
>>
>>24879828
Hey, can we research "robot control"?
Like, research some way to forcibly take control of that giant robot.

That'd be a huge asset and once we'd taken over, we could rewire him so it wouldn't be a problem even if our "robot control" failed.
>>
>>24879814
How about we do what >>24879828
said and scout out the Fortress with two Hunters in power armor, then send out 3 Hunters to salvage shit, then leave the remaining 20 to research a way to control that giant robot thing?

We could somehow inject our own AI in the robot, right? I think that is smart, and smart is good, right? But I think the first gentle approach should be made.

A team of hunters is sent to scout the fortress. More on them later.

In the meantime some means to subvert and take control of the the largest robot in THE SCRAPYARD is pursued. As a part of this research observation is required.

Your men spend several days tracking and watching the Laser-Lord as some wit has taken to calling it. It's massive, at least a story tall, and roughly the size of a city block, it can only move at around 1 mile an hour but it has a nuclear power plant and most of its upper body is made of a massive dome studded with laser tubes.

It makes use of enslaved scrap robots to gather useful components from its kills and it uses the Point Defence lasers with surgical precision.

It warned off the first few observers with laser blasts but it targeted the last one with a laser.

A communication laser to be precise.

You manage to get two Hunters into the base. The strength increase more than makes up for any extra noise that the armor causes and the men are able to scale the walls of the fortress with relative ease.

Konan's fort is roughly the size of four city blocks. Its walls are made of scrapmetal that's been poorly welded together, in many places its simply been smashed into shape with sledge hammers and held in place with shoddy spot welds.

The base is made up of four quarters, one contains a group of tents where Konan and his leuitenants live, one contains a barracks where his soldiers make their own living arrangements. One contains a bunch of cages where slaves are left exposed to the elements without even a blanket to protect them. (women apparently have to find a soldier to act as their patron if they want shelter, men are worked to death.) The final quarter contains some very poorly made armored vehicles. They could get maybe ten miles on a gallon of fuel and they have what appears to be a bunch of large, crude lever action rifles (something like 75. Caliber) installed in the turrets.

The soldiers are extremely disorganized, constantly drunk and armed with poorly maintained bolt action rifles and shotguns. They wear furs and leathers.

Only Konan's elite use machine guns and even them SMGs and Assault rifles are more common than squad based weapons.

Your men extract flawlessly, Konan never even knew they were there.

Your men have salvaged more robots and scrapmetal.

You have 2 resource units.

We should hit the base at their motor pool first. Blow a hole through the wall, disable the vehicles (or at least keep the enemy from utilizing them) first.

The wall surrounding Konan's fortress was designed to deal with farmers and scrap robots. It was not designed to deal with 22nd Century Military surplus. The Hunter APC can load 12 men comfortably (not counting the driver), a little more than that if you really squeeze them in. It is armed with an anti tank cannon that has both semi automatic and fully automatic firing modes.

A burst of fire from the Antitank canon in a rough circular pattern weakened the wall, then the driver gunned the engines to maximum and hit the wall at 50 miles per hour. The APC slammed through the wall into the motor pool and made quick work of assembled bandit APCs.

From there the Power Armored Hunters left the APC and made their way towards Konan's command center. The APC itself made for the Barraxcks district and used a combination of tank shock and fire from the passnger compartment to inflict extreme casualties on the enemy. It took 15 minutes and 50 dead men but the survivors surrendered unconditionally.

Konan were in complete disarray and incapable of putting up effective resistance against the Hunter kill team that invaded the officer's quarters. Many enemy soldiers and noncombatants were harmed by ricochets and drunken attempts to kill "Demons" but we were able to nuetralize enemy resistance effectively and quickly.

Konan has been captured alive.

His men seemed to have taken a liking to younger women and no less than 20 14 year old girls are pregnant, not to mention 40 or so 20 year olds who are in the same condition.

>continued next post.
>>
Your m,en are unijured but there are something like 23 noncombatant fatalities and 50 non-combatant casualties. These are from the battle.

If one brings the men who were bing worked to death by Konan then the non-combatant fatalities look more like 130 and the casualties reach the range of 230 people. (Mostly malnutrition and exhaustion with the occasional burn or bullet wound from battle.)

From the looks of things Konan aand his men are some sort of Human supremacist splinter group and most of their wrath was reserved by people with either mutations of nonstandard physical devations (inhereited genetic mods from Pre-Noah civilization, catgirls, elves, dwarves, and every other kind of wierd you can imagine)

In the slave quarter there's a pile of half incenerated human remains. You can't be sure but you're reasonably certain something like 100 people have been worked to death, reduced to charred lumps of organic matter and dumped into an enormou spile in a cornerof the camp.

You have 260 slaves in varying states of dehydration, starvation, pregnancy, and radiation poisoning,

You have 149 prisoners and 1 captured Warlord.

What would you like to do?

Provide whatever aid we can offer for them now. If any enemy APCs survived, we should assigned drivers from our team to them, and use them to escort the pregnant and the sick (preferably not together) towards the town. I am presuming, of course, that most of these slaves were taken from there.

Before we do that, though, I think we should kill all of Konan's soldiers. Every last one of them, executed. Konan himself, we'll keep alive as a prisoner; we'll hand him over to that town and let them do what they will with him.

Machine crapped out on me. Your patience is appreciated.

The sick and pregnant (those two descriptors are sadly, not exclusive) are ferried back to Junkvale via Hunter APC, and later by horse and wagon. Many of the men brought in are not from Junkvale but other towns from across the wasteland. It turns out that Konan's been doing a fair amount of slave trading with what appears to be a Slaver's Guild that operates all across the region.

Regardless the Junkvalers are glade to have their women folk back and take to sheltering the victims of Konan's rampage. (Provided of course that they're willing to earn their keep later.) You station a medic at Junkvale to keep an eye on things and help out where needed. Another medic helps ease the pain of the dying and treats the worst cases in what used to be Konan's personal tent, its more than large enough to serve as a makeshift medical faility.

As for Konan's soldiers... some try to resist the execution, claiming that this is dishonorable. Some beg for their lives and pledge to serve the Hunter's warlord.

All of them face the firing squad.

The dead are left in a pile outside the wall. Men like this don't get burials.

Konan is handed over to the town's people. They tie him to a pole and stone him to death. The Sherif's widow is the one to cast the first stone.

Within a couple of weeks Junkvale elects a new sheriff, you learn from your medic that she'd like to speak with leader of The Hunters.

A fire pit is dug outside of the raider base. Corpses are thrown in and uncermoniously burned with flammable trash. The remains of the corpses are buried in the hopes of preventing the spread of disease.

Konan's base contains several hundred firearms, all in poort condition. Lever action shotguns and bolt action rtifles are fairly common. There are also a couple dozen assault rifles and SMGs of varying make and model.

You aquire several hundred thousand rounds of poor quality ammunition and poor quality alchohol, the shoddy stills that produced it are still standing.

There are roughly 50 or so cages that can hold ten humans each "comfortably" left in the slave quarters.

There are about half a dozen circus tents filled with cotton pillows, mirrors, high quality whiskey and opium and similar luxuries.

The soldiers barracks don't have much of worth, filthy cloth, crappy pornagraghy and the occasional stashed knife.

There's aslo a couple hundred tons of scrap metal if you count the walls.

There's stores of salt pork and similar substances that will help break up the monotany of your algae diet, these supplies could also help feed the townsfolk if their crops fail.

>you've looted 2 resource units worth of supplies from the base, if you engage in a salvaging project you can loottwo more resource units from the base by destroying it or you could occupy it and attempt to upgrade it.

Colonel Shuggs takes one of the APCs down to Junkvale and meets up with Junkvale's new sheriff. She's a cat woman, roughly 42 years in age, she's got her fare share of scars and keeps a pair of 357 revolvers strapped to her hips as well as a Solokov assault rifle.

The woman's name is Sara Nymariez and she apparently wants to cut a deal with The Hunters. In exchange for their continue protection of the town (as well as providing services like training and security upgrades) they'll recieve crops and trade goods (+1 RU per turn.)

She's willing to wait but she wants an answer within a month.

A nonegotiable part of the deal is that The Hunters must provide Junkvale with decent weaponry and ammunition. (either taken from the bunker's stores or you can repair the crappy weapons you got from Konan's base and give them ammo that won't fuck up their guns.)

What do?
>>
>>24881632
Hmm, occupying it seems like a waste. We have good mobility and don't need an outpost, I think. We don't have the manpower for one, anyway.

We should get to work on those salvage drones so we can get resource units automatically, in my opinion. Loot the base, and work on salvage drones.
>>

They're not getting our weapons no matter what. If we provide weapons and ammunition, it's a one-time deal, and we give them Konan's stuff. We will not supply it regularly. We will provide training and KNOWLEDGE on security upgrades, but will not dedicate manpower in any way to their town as we simply cannot afford to split up our forces.

Training is fine and protection for the duration of the training is likewise fine, but we can't dedicate resources to them after they've been trained.

>>24881753
The weapons are ours and not for civillians. We can teach them some skills and of course, the law. They can get some of the looted weapons, and we will show them how to fix the ammo.

That is fine, maybe a part of the militia could protect the fort? Anyways, we should store the

Funnily enough they manage to capture a scavenger robot intact. From there it doesn't take much to figure out how the AI of the robot works. Apparently they're war robots that had their AI corrupted by a combination of EMP and age and now they can only carry out basic self preservation protocols.

You have to catch them intact but you can reprogram scavenger bots to do your bidding.

In that case, research comm mast first, then build.
>mounys acuired
yes capcha, money will be acquired this way

Vehicle Availability: 1 MainBattle Tank, 4 Armored Personel Carriers, both run on Biofuel.

You have 5 resource units.
You recieve 1 RU per turn from Junkvale.

You can now reprogram salvage robots.

You left the slave pens at Konan's base. There's still some metal wall left over at Konan's base.

You still can't get the MBT out of the Bunker because the access tunnel isn't wide enough

I'm fine wit that
>>

you don't have to research the comm mast to build it, you just can't research and manufacture atthe same time.

I went with droids, so now you can build the mast if you feel like it.
>>
>>24882221
Why the fuck would we give scrap to Vassal when he needs 10+ per turn and we have 5 which took us weeks to get
>>
>>24882656
Can we reverse engineer them and just build our own?
>>
>>24882782
yeah, nother research roll, 1 RU.

then its 1 more RU to make a workshop.

then you get like 5 or so robots for each RU, but the workshop can be expanded into a wider production facility of some kind. It'd save you some RU expenditure on later projects.

Probably be more efficient than having dudes hunt down and reprogram robots manually.

Rolled 100

Then I vote for this.

How much RU per turn will we get per robot?
As a side note, we're gonna have to establish contact with whatever civilization we can soon. We can't do gung-ho shit like raiding Warlords' fortresses all the time or they'll respond with violent raids and the Hunters won't be able to actually withstand a full-on assault if they discover our base.
We're gonna have to train the civvies to fight back the raiders and slavers to avoid creating a power vacuum from destroying the Slavers' Guild and the Warlords in the immediate area.

Though I doubt the civvies would be willing to return to a democratic, honest-to-God American civilization again once we bring the law and order, so we'll have to create a failsafe in the weapons we'll supply.

We need a workshop so we can create weapons that are just good enough to beat the Slavers while leaving a failsafe to deactivate them in case of armed rebellion once we bring order to the Wastes.

So uh, research roll for drones.

Tech Specialist Gets lucky.

Kind of.

He reformats the salvage drone that the boys brought back in the hopes of actinvatingf some sort of backup failsafe.

He manages to completely retore its original programming. It claws away half his face and drills out one of his eye sbut he manages to subdue it and lock it down.

After having his eye replaced and his face touched up he begins working on the salvage drones programming. He manages to make an intelligent, agressive, and most of all efficient salvage drone.

They are entirely self suffiecient, They repair themselves, they work together as a team, they think tactically, and they are utterly loyal.

>You get five drones for 1 RU
>for every five drones you get +1 to your RU at a maximum of +3 RU from thus resource source.
>You need to build a workshop before you can begin drone production.

I was gonna make you get 10 robots before they could collect enough scrap for +1 RU per turn.

Plus these guys can serve as combat bots now, you just need to put weapons on them.

Oh, but you lose the per turn bonus when you field them in combat.

time to properly explore the scrapyard. Set up a grid and began checking it square out mapping it before moving onto the next.

Okay I gotta bail now.

Need to go buy groceries.

Imma archive this thread.

Next one starts tommorrow, anywhere from 6:00 to 10:00 4chan time.
