(Hey guys sorry for being late, I’m going to have to leave at 6:00 for some stupid crap no one told me about till today. I’ll be back in two hours. When I leave you can talk amongst yourselves, brainstorm, I’ll read through them. I apologize, I try to plan ahead but it’s hard when no one tells you)

Last Time on Gundam AGE Quest: (look in /tg/ archive for Part 12, my piece of shit computer won’t connect for some reason)
-----------------------
Your name is Jake Crocker and today you investigated a derelict ship, found a three barreled machinegun, found a cute robot mascot, a cryotube and the belongings of the guy who used to pilot your Gundam. Then you found and talked to the pirate leader Captain Blackmarsh and his son Hogan Blackmarsh, only to be interrupted by the appearance of the “Black Raven”.
The pirates scramble past you as everyone begins to climb into mobile suits. You and Tim return to the shuttle and climb into your mobile suits. Tim immediately pops off the shuttle and begins scanning with his Radome.

“I’m patching into the pirates sensor network they have throughout the field. I don’t think they’ll mind and...holy shit” Tim says in a mix of awe and horror.

“What is it?”

“The target is moving towards us at ten times the speed of the pirate interceptors! A regular pilot should be dead under that kind of speed! However it can’t be driven by a computer, it’s moving through the debris field too easily!”

Pirate mobile suits scramble, ready for the demon machines approach.

What will you do Jake?
>>
Hold our ground and equip the Excalibuster. Long range weapons will be useless in this mist.
>>
Get into the Crusader and break out the Excalibuster. Wee need to see if the IFF of the bogey matches the one in the combat log of the derelict ship. Also show off the awesomeness of the Excalibuster to the pirates.
>>
An idea - we offer to take this "Black Raven" off the pirates hands to cement the deal. They can take the credit for the deed, and so earn the respect and fear of their rivals.
In exchange, when the time is right, we ask that they take Grodek in, instead of making the guy go through that mock trial that we know awaits him.

In the meantime, equip your Excalibuster and the shield, and prepare for shit to hit the fan.
We should ask MaG to examine whatever records there are about this guy, as well as ask the pirates for any info they have.
>>
>>24865310
He's surviving ridiculous acceleration and he's called a "Raven". Are we dealing with a Human PLUS?

Anyway, get on the open channel and ask for details on who this guy is.Then, assuming we're not going to interrupt some rapid response strategy they have by our presence, fire a few rounds from the EM Crossbow at him. Show him not to underestimate relative velocity.
>>
>>24865458
Just watch out, this guy was the rival of the original pilot of Gundam. I'm getting the feeling he's A CHAR as well.

It wouldn't surprise me if the EM Bolts are moving at slow motion to him, then he kicks us in the face.

So, we finally meet our rival that we will turn into our ally. But still keep the friendly rivalry going on. And it is her.
>>

if he is going at 10 time the speed of an interceptor you *know* him to be A CHAR well almost he hasn't painted his MS red

There have been a few Chars without red color schemes. And we haven't actually seen him yet. He could have red highlights on the suit or something.

Taking out your shield and the Excalibuster you exit the dock ready for a fight, Tim staying inside the hanger to provide support.

"IFF matching one from recovered Combat Logs."

"Any info on this guy?" You ask.

"A historical reference is made to a Black Raven at the battle of Gaia who supposedly sank a thousand ships single handedly" Ma G States

"That has to be an exaggeration..." you state as dozens of pirate mobile suits move away from the colony and into the mist to intercept the machine.

Explosions and flashes can be seen from a distance as the pirate IFF signals disappear in rapid succession. After a minute the 30 suits that went into the mist are gone.

"60 meters in closing! He's going to be here in 10 seconds!" Tim shouts as you flip your Excalibuster into DODS mode and take aim.

A black, jet like machine blasts out of the mist, gunning straight for you. You fire several shots at the rapidly approaching suit, but it dodges all of them even at the speed it's going at.

You fire the Gundam's thrusters and fly upwards, the black suit narrowly missing it's ramming attack. It looks almost bird like in the mode, with a pair of large beam rifles of sorts mounted on the nose of it.

The machine transforms into mobile suit mode mid turn, you barely have time to swing your sword as you narrowly stop a horizontal beam saber slash.

The pitch black suit's red mono-eye flashes once and thanks to your panoramic screen you see the other arm of the suit lunge towards you, aiming for your Gundam's head...

(Roll 1d100 vs Pilot skill +20. 75 or lower will succeed, 1 is a critical success and 100 is a critical failure)

Before you can even think to raise the shield to smack the suits hand away, the Raven has already wrapped it's hand around the neck of your Gundam. It's hand tightens, crushing motors and hydraulics before pulling up sharply, ripping the Crusader Gundam's head off completely.

Your screen fills with static, but you quickly switch to fuzzy secondary camera's and kick him back before he can stab his beam saber through your cockpit. The Raven catches Tim coming out of the hanger and throws your Gundam's head at him. It hits his Shaldoll in the chest and sends his beam cannon shot flying off target.

Shots begin to rain down on the Raven from above as a new wave of pirate MS fly in. The black suit veers from side to side and pops the two large rifles off it's back, pointing them upwards and firing as it spins backwards. Two massive trailing blasts erupt from the rifles, cutting across the pirate squadron and disintegrating their suits.

What will you do now Jake?

>>24866222
It knows we're still active. We kicked it away from us. And I'm not sure the virus would work. I assume from what we've seen that AI tech was pretty common during the Colony Wars, so this suit probably has good countermeasures to that sort of intrusion. It would take too long to work.

I wish we had the King Arthur. The Raven would have even more or a mobility advantage over us, but the microwave guns might at least mess up his systems. As is, I can only think of trying to hunker down into a more fortified position that his superior mobility won't be as big an advantage against. Can we use the hanger as a bunker?
>>
Goo bombs, fire Goo bombs at it and see if we can clog up those ports.
>>
>>24866362
True. We should either try to hunker down somewhere or lure that thing into some thick debris, but it's far too mobile for that trick to work.
Could the EM bolts pull double duty as magnets of some sorts? I guess some magnetic mines would be awesome to have at this moment.
>>
>>24866362
Maybe we can get MaG to talk to it? If it's the original pilot, he has to either be ancient as all hell or been in cryo. More likely it's a decendant or an AI.
>>
>>24866362
(The hanger probably won't provide any protection from that rifle. Besides, your shuttle is there with MID inside, don't want him to get hurt)

You holster the Excalibuster and bring out the EM Ballista just as the Raven charges up it's Rifles. You fire a goo bolt towards it and splatter the arms, chest and rifle by detonating the bolt before impact.

The goo at the end of the rifle turns red with heat and the Raven tosses the rifles to the side as they explode with tremendous force, throwing it off guard just long enough for Tim to get in another beam cannon blast, glazing and destroying the Raven's shoulder.

However the Raven bolts forward, it's beam sabers melting the goo on it's arms as it goes for Tim. You think you have enough time to fire a single bolt, but what kind?

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24866582
Explosive bolt to the wings. Rob it of its mobility.
>>
>>24866582
EMP bolt. Let's shut this fucker down.
>>
>>24866582
Also, is this obviously a Vagan suit? Or is it something else?

Goo Bolt to a set of thrusters. At the speeds he's going, hopefully it'll cause him to spinout.

>>24866642
You load an EMP bolt and fire it at the charging Raven. Tim fires another blast from his cannon, forcing the Raven into your shot. It slams into one of the wings, sparks flying as it shorts out and ceases to produce thrust.

The Raven's eye flashes as it bolts out of the way of another of Tim's shots and reaches around, ripping off it's damaged wing and smashing it across Tim's Shaldoll, flattening the barrel of his beam cannon and damaging his head.

It rushes towards you flying down and up, holding it's ripped off wing like a shield as it speeds into melee range.

What will you do Jake?
>>
>>24866727
Kick the wing out of its hands and use the Excalibuster to sever the other wing.
>>
>>24866727
Block it with the turned-off Excalibuster, and then turn on the beam sabers.
>>
>>24866727
CLEAVE AND SMITE! and shout CHESTO as loud as you can
>>
>>24866786
This. It's been a while since we did any crazy tricks. Block, trigger beam blades in the clash, then if we can angle it right fire the beam rifle right at point blank to take out the other wing.

Backpedal wile firing AP bolts we're wearing him down just keep up the momentum.
>>
>>24866858
>>24866802
>>24866786

You toss the EM Ballista to the side and rip out the Excalibuster, clashing with the Raven's wing. During the clash you activate the beam emitters and cut through wing and fire the DODS Rifle tip as it pass's through the wing.

The DODS Shot fires point blank into the Raven's damaged shoulder, blowing off it's left arm. Firing it's thrusters it kicks you straight in the cockpit and flys upwards at top speed, disappearing back into the mist in an attempt to escape.

(Got to go guys! See you in two hours)
>>
>>24867039
Let him escape, but grab the arm and what we can of the wing. That was obviously a high mobility suit, and we might be able to use the parts to begin data on a new secret pirate cowl for the AGE-X that we won't use until Gen 2/3.
>>
>>24867039
And the mysterious enemy pilot gets away. Good. We've killed or befriended every possible rival so far. We need a recurring villain.

See you in two hours.
>>
>>24867075
Agreed. The more we know about this thing, the better. We could probably invent some fast-tracking cannons or something similar in order to react to its next attack.
Or recreate the compound this thing is made off - imagine what we could do with such speed.
>>
>>24867075
speaking of Gen 2, what do you think our kid is gonna be like?
>>
>>24867200
Well, if Flit gets together with Yurin I'd imagine a much higher chance of their kids being X-Rounders than his and Emily's. So possibly the next Crocker is going to be the Super Pilot to fill the vacant role.

That could be cool. Though it could be equally entertaining to have Flit and Yurin's kid be a daughter, and romance Zeheart. We know he likes X-Rounder girls with purple hair. There's a good chance that's what the pilot of the AGE-2 will be. We get some nice drama, and Kio (or whatever the AGE-3's pilot will be named) could still have the "missing father" and "family history with the enemy ace" plot threads even without the existence of Captain Ash.

I guess more quiet, a bit aloof and lazy but friendly and a deadpan snarker. Intelligent and witty like his dad, but more composed and sarcastic like Mellis.
Gets flustered and looses his shit whenever he feels like he's not in control of the situation.

And since everybody is going to end up as a X-Rounder, he should be an expert pilot and engineer. Possibly a bit more athletic to catch up with all those psykers.
The cool and friendly kid at school. Still a dork like his dad, though. He and Jake can argue about anything for hours.

Try to pursue and get a final shot in, it might not work but it's worth trying.

Another good shot, goo or EMP, from the Ballista ought to knock him out of commission or seriously slow him down.

He'll probably be embarrassed as hell about us, because you just know that we're going to take him to school in the Crusader, show up to parent-teacher conferences with a cape, and give hot-blooded speeches at the drop of the hat.

We can probably do that. If we get details on the Defurse's construction from any intact salvage we can build large mobile suits that still are relatively agile. Drills and eye beams are reasonably plausible for us to build. The big problem is going to be working rocket punches. Firing them won't be a problem, but how do we retrieve? Wire-guidance would just feel like betraying the concept.

>>
>>24867889
I suppose we could always hack in some bit tech to give them miniaturized thrusters so they can fly back. Lack of X-Rounder ability might be a problem, but if it's a simple return flight it probably won't need active mental guidance to work.

Since we seem to be doing all kinds of sequence breaking in the technological sense, what with creating a semi-transformable MS via the J-Exes, why don't we pioneer the AGE-verse Core Block System with Jake's son's Gundam?

Perhaps we could model its appearance after the Cluster Gundam?

http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/F90III-Y_Cluster_Gundam

Or maybe we could go with something like the GP01?

http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/RX-78GP01_Gundam_%22Zephyranthes%22

Or if we want to shy away from UC-inspired designs, we could go with something like the Impulse.

>>
>>24868953
You mean make the Gundam into a transformer?
>>
>>24869192

>>24868953
How about some other UC tech? Ultra-compact MS reactors based on salvage from the Vagan and the Graveyard. Lighter composite armor reverse-engineered from the Vagan. Learning computers based from MaG and the XM3 OS to improve pilot performance. Developing the VSBR from the DODS rifle to deal with Vagan EM armor. Using beam emitter data from Flit's Titus Wear and Jake's Titus Cowl to develop beam shields. Psychoframe and funnel/bit tech based off the Farsia and recovered intel from Ambat. Jake could push Feddie tech ahead 40 years with the shit he's picked up if he had some time without anyone trying to kill him.

My sugesstion for tech development is more melee weapons with heat and or vibration tech

Also we need a stealth tech cowl so get as much pirate tech!!
>>
>>24869192
Nah. Core block systems are combiners, not transformers. Think Getter if it wasn't a Super Robot. A couple of planes(usually three, sometimes two) that join together to make the mobile suit. Sometimes there are pilots in all three planes, sometimes only one has a pilot while the others are controlled by AI or Newtype powers. They have some advantages, though are often portrayed as being more fragile due to the connector ports being less strong than a proper joining. They can split apart to dodge attacks and increase mobility, arrange into alternate forms for long range travel by combining without deploying the mobile suit parts deploying, can swap out equipment easily by swapping in a new plane, and sometimes have more overall power because of the multiple reactors and computer systems managing the whole thing.

I predict purple hair, since in the canon timeline he had his mother's hair color.
Or Asemu could be born female in this timeline, setting up a "childhood friend" for Jake's kid.

BRILLIANT! The super genius combination of the Crockers and the Asunos shall be legendary!
>>
>>24869302
Yeah, there's some good stuff in UC. Especially in later UC when the reactors are powerful enough for the average mobile suit to support more exotic technology. That probably wouldn't be a problem for us, though, as we're already throwing around a lot of energy with our current systems.

Off the top of my head, beam rotors would be a nice technology. Beam shield, melee weapon and atmospheric flight system all in one compact package. They wouldn't be too hard to build, theoretically, aside from the flight capability.

Although, the Titus Cowl has similar capabilities, but has limited use due to heat build up. Could we look into using whatever photoelectric effect the Vagan thrusters use to keep from overheating in other tech? It would allow us to operate the more power-intensive tech for longer. Plus it would mean that when using the most powerful systems the Gundam would glow dramatically.
>>
What if instead of limiting Flit's options we helped him get both of them?
>>
>>24869553
Yurin's kid is more likely to be a SUPAA X-ROUNDER, who'll go all UNDERSTANDING.

The right way to prevent Kio from happening is to pair Asemu with someone else, like Arisa. That and/or have him raise his son right.
>>
>>24869614
I suggest we combine the EXA-DB with age and or MAG when the time Is right for historical archive purposes
>>
>>24869672
NOT If we can help raise said kid
>>
>>24869618
I thought the beam rotors were rather silly, myself. I liked the Victory's compact Minofsky Lift System better. It looked less energy-intensive and cut down on propellent use under gravity. No if only we could make the Wings of Light. 20g acceleration and can be used as a pair of kilometer-long beam sabers. Doesn't get any better than that without dipping into Turn A.

Or just delay the attack on Olivernotes by a few years due to our tactical skills forcing the Vagans back. That way Kio will have at least entered puberty before he's forced to start killing people. A bit more emotional maturity might help prevent his annoying traits.

>>24869715
True. The Victory and Victory 2 have much better thruster systems. And the beam rotor is kind of silly looking. I mostly like the beam rotors because it meant transformable mobile suits that turned into helicopters instead of planes. That appeals to me for some reason.

Probably the Zero System from Wing. I wouldn't want to do any experimenting with that yet. We can probably base it off the psycommu(or whatever the AGE equivalent would be called) on the Farsia, but considering that we already know there are risks involved in X-Rounder technology I'd wait to see if Dr. Spriggan can make anything of it. And trying to build a mind-machine interface like that from scratch would just be the worst idea possible.
>>
>>24870226
So, you want a system that drives pilots nuts ala Quatre.

How about we just stick to F91's biocomputer which does the same job less effectively, but doesn't drive people nuts?
>>
>>24870250
AGE has something like that. It's a helmet in Gen 2 that gives the user X-Rounder powers, but the information overload eventually drives the user insane and kills him.
>>
>>24870291
I thought the idea was that the Psychomet killed you from the fact that it's using transcranial magnetic fields to stimulate your brain, not because of information overload. If that's all it is, we can probably work up some kind of buffer system with our AI friends' help.
>>
>>24870250
UC Gundam developed something similar in F91 called the bio-computer. It's based off of the Zeon psycommu system and later psychoframe system. The biocomputer system linked the pilot's senses to the MS sensors. However, the mental strain of the system meant that on Newtypes could use it to full effect. It's unlikely we would see such a system until late gen 2 or gen 3. Psycommu systems aren't something to piss around with. Just look at the EXAM System or the Cyper-Newtype labs.

Grabbing the parts from the Raven, you make your way back to the shuttle and lock into it, lashing your new found items to the shuttle.

Hogan and Captain Black Marsh approach you, leaving their mobile suits the moment they exit the hanger. "My god boy! You drove back the Black Raven! That thing killed half a dozen men the last time it came through here!" Blackmarsh says, rather impressed.

"You sure know how to lay the pain little bro! You send that thing packing" Hogan says with a respectful nod.

"Yeah but that thing tore off the Gundam's head like it was a toy. We got lucky, if we hadn't gotten rid of it's rifle we would have been toast. Still, good job Jake" Tim says, patting you on the shoulder.

"Combat Efficiency was at 78.7%, much higher then normal Jake. I approve" Ma G says with an almost complimentary tone.

your response Jake?
>>
>>24870871
Ask if they know when it will come back.

Can't very well leave a job unfinished.

"You really think I'm improving, Ma G?"

"Frankly, I don't think I'd have done half as well as I did without you and Tim backing me up out there."
>>
>>24870871
"Well, I suppose that's as much of a compliment as I deserve Ma G, thanks, I mean I did get my head ripped off. I would have been utterly boned without help from everyone else.

I doubt it's going to just stay away though, it doesn't seem the type. Hey, my first reoccurring nemesis, haven't had one of those before.

So, what we ought to do now is look at the parts of the Raven we managed to take off of it, see what makes it tick. Because I'm seriously confused as to how whoever is piloting that thing is still alive, seriously, the G-Forces from that thing should have turned his internal organs into pulp."
>>
>>24870871
"Thanks, everyone. I'm just glad we managed to scare it off before it did any more damage. What was that thing? Ma G identified it as having the same ID code as a unit of the same name from the Colony Wars. Did somebody else manage to dig up some old tech like my Gundam?"

(Ma G says we did better than normal. Is that worth any raise to our piloting skill?)
>>
>>24870871
"How often does the Raven attack? Do you know when or why it backs off? Seeing how powerful and fast it is, the Raven can't be driven off easily. Any ideas where it bases itself? I tore it up pretty badly."

"Don't assume it's a man bro!" Hogan warns raising his arms in a dramatic fashion. "Women can be just as dangerous as men, you may have a fem fatal to deal with"

"It might be something about the pilot Jake." Tim suggests. "I mean the Colony Nation Wars had tons of illegal experiments and research going on. They could have easily made an android or cyborg"

"Regardless, you did an excellent job out there and saved me a lot of trouble. Me and my men are ready to follow you back to Minsry at any time" Captain Blackmarsh says.

So, you should probably head to Minsry as soon as possible, gives us more time to outfit you guys with better equipment and practice some together so we actually work as a united group against the Vagan.

I am about to completely alter the political landscape in this region by giving you these weapons, this might make me sound insane, but I like the thought of that.

Though it shouldn't be too bad, worst happens we'll just need to make stuff that makes our current stuff obsolete.

Oh, and we ought to pick up as much scrap as possible on the way there, it'll mean we can make more stuff."
>>
>>24871163
"I think I might know why it was interested in me. My unit's the restored and remodeled Gundam. From what records I've found, the Black Raven was the name of one of the most skilled aces on the rebel side in the colony wars. He or she fought with the Gundam many times. If this is the same person, preserved by cryostasis or some similar treatment, it would probably hold a grudge against my machine. Even if it's just some successor to the original, there might be some inherited animosity.

"Anyway, enough about that. I'd like to return to Minsry as quickly as possible. Before that, though, would you mind if I used your repair facilities? Obviously, I'd like to get my head back on straight before we go do anything dangerous. While I'm doing that, get your ships loaded with whatever you might think you'll need. We'll be providing new weapons, so munitions are less important than spare parts. Also, if you have the space left in the hold, load up on any useful scrap you have. The AGE Builder's primary limitation is raw materials. It can work with anything, provided it's in pieces large enough to process."

You can talk with the other ships with in the Graveyard. Chatting with them about what they do and what kind of mods they try to put into their mobile suits, it gives you some ideas. The rest of the trip is long, tediousness and boring. You talk with MID a little more and shoot the shit with Tim, learning more about how he still practices art in his spare time and has a penchant for oil paintings.

Eventually you arrive at Minsry. You drop off Gundam and Tim's Shaldoll in the hanger for proper repairs as Captain Blackmarsh and Hogan leave to discuss the details of the fortress invasion with Captain Grodek and Frizzle.

Fuck, you knew you were forgetting something. Oh well, all the more incentive to come back alive and get it for them.

Looking over the arm of the Raven, you don't find anything spectacular. It's a high performance, high speed reaction arm, the set up is very well done and gives you some ideas on how to better make a fast moving arm, but there isn't really any new technology you can see outside of some odd seemingly misplaced back up feed wires that Flit guesses are designed for a different type of input then those used in standard cockpit controls. Outside of that the arm seems to actually seem to copy technology and designs from your Gundam.

The wing is a different matter. It's made up of thousands of small by incredibly tough metal chips that have plasma fuel embedded in them on a molecular level. They not only serve as shields for the Raven, but also as propellant pods as well for extended flight thanks to the special thrusters that tap into the fuel-metals embedded plasma. They aren't remotely volatile however.

Your thoughts Jake?
>>
>>24873004
No, the previous roll that was +10. I'm bad at using the dice roller, and forgot to clear the field completely.
>>
>>24873009
Can we make it ourselves?
>>
>>24873009
Reverse engineer those wings! We need to get on that shit.
>>
>>24873009
"Heya Flit, we should totally reverse engineer the fuck out of these wings so we can integrate it into things. This seems to explain, at least somewhat, how the Raven can go so fast, the alternate input method points to it not being a standard cockpit which might explain why the pilot lived through that many G-Forces."

Integrating this sort of thing into the Solid Cowl or combining it with the Anti-Beam Cowl might be possible.
>>
>>24873009
Sounds like some awesome wings. For clarification, are the scales themselves thrusters, or they just work like metal hydride fuel cells and store the fuel in a solid substrate for the thrusters to use?
>>
>>24873071
Calling for a assisted engineering role for reverse engineering + opening up high speed tech tree

>>24873009
aside from "holy crap how did they manage to make it a non-explosive thing" and "we need to make this shit into a cowl" not much
>>
>>24873009
"Flit...these wings..."
>>
>>24873112
"Don't cry...they're beautiful."

And then we make out.
>>
>>24873009
"I may or may not have a massive tech-boner for these wings."
>>
>>24873125
With the wing, I assume.
>>
>>24873009
My god these wings

Not at the moment, the AGE Builder isn't meant to produce something of this complexity, but your confident you'll be able to produce the stuff sometime in the near future, maybe with an extensive upgrade to the AGE Builder or the purchase of some special machining tools.

You and Flit agree this still will come in handy later down the line once you work out how to produce the stuff in mass.

Until then your only able to day dream.

So, now what Jake? Show Flit MID?

>>24873076
(The scales are the defensive plates/fuel sells, not thrusters as well)
>>
>>24873154
I was talking about Flit, but if the wing wants to join in I'm not going to stop it. It's a sexy, sexy piece of integrated nanomachinery.
>>
>>24873158
Definitely show Flit MID. It's a family reunion. Let's see if there's anything about Flit that's distinguishably Asuno that MID can see a resemblance in.
>>
>>24873158

We should introduce MID to Haro...
>>
>>24873158
Release the MID.
>>
>>24873158
"hey flit, you know your haro thingy? well looks like your family had a long history of making this kind of stuff."
show him MID
"I wonder how haro will react to having an older sibling, hey now that I think about it you never told me what haro actually is."
>>
>>24873158
Show Flit MID. Slightly off-topic: I just finished watching Gundam F91 and remembered someone yesterday mentioning a high-mobilty cowl and got another idea from ripping off various pieces of UC Gundam tech. An interceptor cowl based off of the Stamen Gundam's twin tail thrusters and a DODS-based VSBR pack. Too crazy, or should we refine the idea?
>>
>>24873218
Nah, it's reasonable that we could build stuff like that. I would want the high-mobility pack to be able to fit under the King Arthur, though. Both for the Dendrobium reference and simple practicality that if we want to get out of the Arthur, we want to get out fast.
>>
>>24873242
That's what I was thinking too. And I figured DODS beam tech could work well with VSBR tech. Gives an extra punch against that fancy EM Armor.

You decide it's time to introduce MID to his 'Uncle' Flit. You bring the little pill-bug like drone out and it scurries over to Flit excitedly.

"FAMILIAR. FAMILIAR." It chirps. "HAIR, EYE COLOR, FACE. ASUNO RELATIVE ASUNO RELATIVE!"

"Flit, this is MID something your ancestors made along with the AGE-X. It reminds me of that Haro-thing you made. What is Haro anyway?" You ask as MID proceeds to crawl up Asuno's pant leg and rest on his shoulder.

"I built Haro as kind of a mobile computer so I could access the AGE Device anywhere I needed too. I programmed him with an A.I. to act as a sort of friend and pet since I'm allergic to dogs" Flit explains, picking MID up and examining him.

"MID appears to be of a similar concept, a little more primitive, but at the same time more advanced. He uses a similar quantum processor unit as Haro, so he's capable of growing and learning, but MID appears to be able to modify himself and grow over time..." Flit states after a physical examination of MID.

Suddenly an elastic green basketball sized robot comes bouncing in and stops in front of MID.

"HELLO HELLO" Haro chimes.

"GREETINGS. I AM MID"

"I AM HARO"

"WERE YOU MADE BY THE ASUNOS?"

"YES YES"

"I WAS TOO. WE ARE BROTHERS. LET US PLAY"

The two toy-like robots scurry off to mess around, leaving you to your thoughts.

Well Jake?

Aww. Little rolly-polly robots playing. That hits me right in the diabetes.

For now, let's check out the personal effects of Sergeant Arthur. Who knows what we might be able to learn about the guy.
>>
>>24873374
"... Should we be worried? I mean, they're two basketball sized robots, so I doubt they can do much damage, but still..."
>>
>>24873374
Let's check Sargent's data disk for anything useful before Jake tries to make anything else.

Has Flit done anything with Jake's MA Arthur data? Will he make a MA of his own or stick with his current Wears?
>>
>>24873421
"Nah, they should be fine I mean what could they possibly do?" Flit says, waving off any possible chance of robot shenanigans from his mind.

>>24873432
>>24873420
You check Arthur's belongings and the data-drive you got. Checking it, your disappointed to find it's not a grand cache of mobile suit data. Instead it's just a very, very, VERY long series of digitalized journals. You scrawl through of them, but there is a ridiculous amount of detail to them, fuck Arthur put down what he ate for breakfast every morning (he liked pancakes!). It's pretty damn boring and hard to get through...but your sure this would make up for all the mods and horrific damage you've made to the AGE-X if you send it back to Dr. Jones. The rest of the stuff includes some old photos of Arthur beside some military buddies, around Minsry and one of him piss drunk and wearing a cardboard box with "GUNDAM" written across and front with a lampshade on his head. Outside of some vintage porno and classic point and click adventure games, there isn't much there.

What now Jake?
>>
>>24873394
I.. I suddenly have this horrible, horrible idea. We give MID to our kid.. and have it serve as his Ma G.
>>
>>24873528
> one of him piss drunk and wearing a cardboard box with "GUNDAM" written across

Oh god. No wonder MID thinks we feel familiar.
>>
>>24873528
What does Arthur look like?
We should look through his porno mags when we finish up work today.
You know, because... he might have hidden some super secret info in one. Or something.
>>
>>24873528
Ask Flit if he made a MA module for the AGE-1. You can never have enough Mobile Armors. Consider a high-mobility cowl that can be fitted with the Arthur.
>>
>>24873528
Get the vintage porno and the point and click games onto our computer.

For research of course. Yeah.

Other than that, send Arthur's journal entries and the more respectable photos to the museum curator. We'll just keep the funny ones to ourselves.
>>
>>24873569
The details are fuzzy, but he appears to be well built, tall, has long black hair tied up into a ponytail and has a bitchin beard.

>>24873626
"I'm not working on a mobile armor per say...it's more of a very, very BIG wear." he explains. "I'm calling it the Giant Wear. I based it off of heavy lifting data from the Desperado, the Armor Data from the Titus and weapon and size data from the King Arthur"

"So...."

"It's basically the AGE-1 wearing a giant exoskeleton. It's bulky and clunky, but it makes up for it with sheer defense and firepower" Flit explains with a nod. "I don't know how long it'll last, I plan on ditching it and launching in the Badlan Wear as soon as it begins to fall apart, but it should be useful for busting through the first few waves"

>>24873664
You upload the games to your laptop as you talk to Flit, however it's getting late and your rather interested in taking a look at the magazines...

"You think there's any way I can find out more about the guy who piloted AGE-X during the Colony Nations War, Sargent Arthur? Do you like, have family archives I can look through? The Asuno's should have noted something about who was piloting the mobile suit they themselves designed, right?"

"..." Flit looks a little surprised to hear that come from you, but nods and smiles, looking rather grateful. "Thank you Jake. You've done a lot yourself. Without you and the Armstrong it'd just be a handful of us fighting against the U.E.
