>Your perfect recall discipline was rather skilled. You could go back to anything in the recent past: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Psion%20Quest
>And as always, your loyal minion, einstein, floated behind you by virtue of small ion thrusters. He carried data, such as messages and tips of the day for you: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

A billion billion miles from your home, most likely more, you're sitting in a restaraunt, on earth, with a girl less than five years old- though she was artificially aged to eighteen, and looked fourteen- Robin, or Rho, or as your mind called her, the one who caused havoc upon the idea of distance.

Everything was strange.

You didn't know why, or when it got strange, but it was.
For a fraction of a second, you understood that this was a psionic discipline. Clairvoyant, but something of a nature Damien Ruste would never know.
It didn't have a name for itself.

"Heather? Are you okay?" Robin Descartes asked, brown eyes staring into yours with worry. An incredibly low level telepathic connection reached out to make its way to you in a way that all human, mzlp'hack*tha, and nagala minds did, when their eyes met.

Not far from here was Lin Eito. But he wasn't, but he was.

>>

<I can see... everything. And nothing. It's there and... Not.>
>>
<Something weird is happening.> You tell her, through that empathic connection she'd tried to erect. Her eyes widened, as she *felt* what you said. You repeat what you said, this way through true telepathy than forcing it through a smaller connection.

>"... Do you want me to take you back?" Robin will ask.

You look out onto the street, the bustling crowds, and felt no more than a little from each person. Just a fraction of a name, or a sliver of their thoughts. Nothing complete, or real.

This new discipline was subconscious, it told you. There was no way to seperate it from the rest of your perceptions.
"Heather?" Rho asked, snapping her fingers.
"I'm fine, but I get the feeling that the rest of the universe isn't." You respond.

"... Your Where is all over." The teleporter said, speaking of her internal kinesthetic sense of location, relevant to people she knows and places she's been. You mildly realized that she was incapable of getting lost as long as she held that power. "Now it's... inside of me. ...Do you want me to take you back?"
>>
>>24844763
"I heard that already. Did you know you can't get lost? Where ever you are, as long as you hold on to... that." poke it.

"I'm, not sure what would happen if i were to teleport right now."

Feel the restaurant.
>>
I just realized, Robin is older than us by at least a few months, technically.
>>
"I heard that already." You say. "Did you know you can't get lost? Whereever you are, as long as you hold on to... that."

You reach out and poke her senses. She blinked.
"You're babbling." Robin said.
"Do you want to risk it if I'm not where my Where is?" You plan to ask, and ask regardless.

Not far from here, Lin's manifestation- Astral Projection- slammed a fist into the gut of another man.
"I'm not sure." Robin said, worried again. She checked the coffee. "Did ArmaTek put something in it?"
No, this manifested itself at this time for another reason. One relevant only to you... and the bodiless intelligence known as Omnissiah.
"No, I want to try and figure this out. I don't think there's any danger yet. I'm not sure what's going on." You say.

You reach out, and feel the restaurant. As it was an object and a place, it had a character. You intuitively knew that with the power you incorrectly thought of as technopathy, you could embrace that character and make it bloom.
The third leg to your trifecta, you understand, though the words in your mind hardly made any sense.

Wrong.
And no.
>>
"Please keep an eye on me, I need to do this." you say.
"Al... alright." Robin said, subconsciously projecting uncertainty through the empathic connection she had erected toward you.

You dart your awareness through- into- without-
You dart your awareness to where Lin's manifestation was.

"Listen, Markus." Lin snarled, as the man pointed a gun at his head. "I've got a new place now. You'll never find me again."
"They'll never find your body, you mean." The bloodied man said, and pulled the trigger.
And then, promptly, Lin vanished. Demanifested. His awareness returned to the station, a billion billion miles from here.

<... Omnissiah?> You asked, reaching out to the AI. <Are you? What are you doing?>
<Yes?> He responded- he didn't understand what you were talking about.

No, no, your strange clairvoyance said, the other Omnissiah.
A billion billion miles closer, you mildly touched the small red pendant, made of the material Omnissiah had constructed to protect you from the void queen.
And then... nothing was strange anymore.

"Heather?" Robin asked, giving you a worried look. You realized she was holding your hand, and had your sunglasses, trying to call someone. "Are you back?"

"Okay." She said, and grabbed your hand. You found yourself in the cafeteria again. Everyone was there, except Lin. Ellie gave you a grin and a wave.
"Welcome back!" She said. "Where did you guys go?"

"Nah, don't worry about it." You say, and continue to eat dinner. "I'll catch up with him later."
The food Sarvesh had made you was slightly cold, but you were able to put most of it away. Saying your thanks to Sarvesh, you made your way out of the room, and down to the isolation chambers. As you approached it, you saw the readouts that said he was indeed there, and the logs said that he'd been there for half an hour, and would open in a few minutes. Robin pamfed into existence next to you.

"Alright, good to hear." She said.
"Some sort of new power. I'm not sure what to call it yet." You say. "By far, the weirdest thing to happen since I started learning these powers."

"Hey, do what you need to do, just ask for help if you need it." You say. He nodded.

"Alright." She said. "I'll just chill somewhere." She said. "See you later."
"See you." You respond, leaving the pendant on as you set the isochamber and climb in.

There you spun, slowly, head over heels. You curled up in the zero-G, and the pendant lifted off of your chest, drifting.
You could see it, despite the darkness.
And suddenly, you realized that everything had gone strange again. A great bubble universe sat located around Summer, not far from here, and ghost realities flitted around Damien, of things that would and would never be. Anna's telekinetic potential unstably fluctuated, back and forth, forward and backward, left and right. Chaotic, and wild, like her power. Sarvesh simply sat, calmly eating, with a cold determination- such determination he could use to tell the very world he was somewhere else, and it would be tricked in only the way calm confidence could trick.
Jilly ate too, her mind branching outward, like an everspanning tree trunk, branches everywhere, breathing, warmly.

And then your antithesis sat next to her.
No, no, not your antithesis. You were its antithesis. Something bloomed from its nothingness. Built up in response to that crushing, cold pariah.
It had merely one discipline, and in response... you'd built three.

Perfect Recall locked in, catching snippets of the past.

Guess we'll go with this.
Could have been better, could have been worse.
>>
>>24846157

man, i hope this one get picked...

i really want to know what personality the station has.
>>
>>24846204
It's first 3, or within the first 10 for criticals.
>>
<Staaaaation.> You pout, and focus...

And all of the energy in your limbs sapped away. Your mind ached, badly, and you had to check to see if you had a nosebleed, but you didn't, fortunately.

Einstein suddenly chirped. It was Summer.
<Come on to the manifestation room! I wanna try this, and you vanished like right after dinner!>
Robin just yawned, and gave you a hug. "G'night." She said, and pamfed into smoke.

Go see Summer I suppose. We can use our power to try and sense what she does. Train up to the big stuff like awakening Station.
>>
>>24846264

<I'm on my way, might take a bit though, could you arrange for some energy food/drink before i get there?>
>>
>>24846264
<Coming!>

Grab a snack. And a drink.
>>
>>24846287

maybe we can start small, with one of the weapon platforms outside.
>>
>>24846307
thats what our tecknopathy has been doing. We've been awakening machines all this time. Now its time to start on a larger scale, and not being assisted by a machines programming.

>inb4 hurp durp youre making it up in your hed derp
>>
<I'm on my way.> You type out. <Might take a bit, though. Could you arrange for some snacks and drinks before I get there?>
<Sure!>

You make your way to the manifestation room, and Summer was sitting there. She had a lot of nutrient shakes and sugary biscuits, and you dove in, eating. "Yay, you're here!" Summer said. "You took forever. How are you feeling, after today and everything?"
>>
>>24846446
"Pretty tired. It's been really weird, today. Especially with that thing that happened in the cafe."
>>
>>24846446
I discovered a new aspect of my powers, and why I developed them in the first place.

I have no idea what help they would be say verse the VQ but its extremely interesting.
>>
>>24846446
"I don't... know. It's been weird."
>>
>>24846446
"Weird. By the way, I managed to sense your universe again when I was in the isolation chamber."
>>
>>24846446

"Tired, practicing something strange and new but enough about that, you wanted to show me something?"
>>
"Pretty tired. It's been weird. I discovered a new aspect of my powers."
"Oooh, that's gotta be interesting. After I show all this off, you'll have to tell me!"
"Enough about that, you wanted to show me something?"

"Alright, everyone watching?" Summer asked. Winter gave you a grin, and vanished, as Summer shook off her interface and the sensors. One of the technicians asked her why, but Summer just gave him a toothy smile.
"Watch." She said.

Cracks grew along the ground, glowing yellow, and the ground... trembled, and shook. Slowly, the cracks grew, and on the other side, you couldn't see anything but brick.

In another way, though, through your aching mind, you sensed something bleeding through.
The station trembled, slightly, and everyone felt it. Summer continued to focus.

And finally, the cracks had grown together, creating a strange rift along the ground. A dome around Summer, where inside was her own universe, badly stitched into this own.
>Field too long!
>>
"Now watch. I can slow time." She said. "Throw something in."
And then the area around her shimmered, a hemisphere around her- and the colors emanating from that hemisphere inverted, making the area Summer was in look like a photo-negative of itself.
Very, very slowly, she started to grin, her fur moving at infintesmally slow speeds.
A technician raised his eyebrows, and lifted up a small red ball, throwing it into the hemisphere.

And it slowed as well, static electricity dancing across its surface as it entered Summer's stitched-in universe.
And very, very slowly, the photo-negative sphere it soared across the dome, crackling with electricity again as it left, returning to its' normal speed and color.
And finally, the dome returned to normal colors.
"There, how was that?" Summer asked, stepping out of the hemisphere, sparks dancing along her fur as she did so.
>>

>>
"That's incredible!" You say. "How does it feel to slow time like that, and do you have to be inside the sphere?"
"Yeah I do, and it feels all normal. All of you guys' colors go all weird, though, and go super fast." She said. "Come on in, I wanna show you what it's like. You might not want to bring your personacom or anything, or you'll mess up the quantum connections or whatever." She said. "And I can speed up time on the inside, too."
>>
>>24846642

>>
>>24846650
"Right. Stay here, 'Stein."
>>
>>24846650

"let's do the slow down. Einstein standby mode near the bench."
>>
"Alright." You say. "Stay here, 'Stein." You put your glasses on him, and walk in- almost more like pushing yourself in. There was a strange surface tension, and then you walked from one universe to another.
"Wait wait wait." Summer said, and stepped out of the brick circle carved into the ground. She grabbed all the snacks, and dragged them in.
"Okay!" She said, and closed her eyes for a moment.

Everywhere else suddenly inverted colors, and started going slowly.
Summer sat down, and started to eat some of the snacks.
"This is what I've been practicing." She said. "It's like, really hard to set it all up, but once it's here, it's here for real, and pretty easy to change."
>>
Maybe we should ask Summer to manifest a manifestation wand, and try to make a useful sized recabulator with it.
>>
>>24846707
lets try our new sense while in here.

"I would have thought that maintaining a... Tumor universe would be the hard part and that the Shared would be trying to restore 'normalcy'"
>>
>>24846707
"Oh, wow! We could do so many activities. We could sleep in here and get extra practice time. How draining is it on you?"
>>
>>24846707

"so, we're going really fast right now?"
"what would happen if we stick an arm outside of the sphere?"

>>24846719

we don't need to, besides, it directly controls Summer's ability which is not very nice.
>>
"I would have thought that maintaining a... tumor universe would be the hard part, and that the shared one would be trying to restore 'normalcy'." You say.
"It would, but there is a real universe right where we are." Summer said. "This one is like... laid on top, with rifts everywhere around, so you can't not enter my place by walking in. It's hard to explain."
"Oh, wow! We could do so many activities. we could sleep in here and get extra practice time. How draining is it on you?"
"Draining enough that I can't sleep in here." She said. "But that's because of the rifts. I could close the rifts and we could have all this extra time without it being stitched in like this. And I could have the best bedroom ever!"

"Filled with pillows and a harem of me?" You ask.

Summer paused.

Then nodded.
"P-pretty much!" She said, and giggled nervously. "B-but I'd feel weird making a harem of people I know in person. It's impolite."
"What other risks are tied with this space?"
"Well, don't stick your hand out or anything, I'm not sure what that would do, but it couldn't be good for your bloodflow." She said. "That's the only one I can think of. I'm not sure if there's a problem, really."
"Can you make the floor consist of nothing but pillows?"
"Yep!" She said, and you sunk down almost a foot, sinking down to your ankles into the incredibly soft pillow below you.
"What other risks are tied with this space?"
"None, really. I just have to worry about not speeding time up or slowing it down too much."
>>
>>24846926
I think our next course of action is obvious.

Roll around on the soft, soft pillows.

we should take this time to stock up on energy and rest so we can work on our own stuff sooner.

while rolling around in pillows of course.

Considering that we know two masters of Biopathy, I'd imagine that death by old age won't really be an issue unless we want it to be.
>>
>>24846926
"What's the current accretion factor at?"
>>
>>24846993

Theta can't stave off death by old age, not to sure about devourer but death WILL take us one day.
>>
>>24846993
When we asked Theta if he could stop ageing he just said "Armatek asked that too" or something.
>>
>>24847019
He probably can. He wont. Devy doesn't give a shit though as evidenced by his bringing Alex's parents back from
the dead.
>>
>>24847019
Perhaps, but considering the rate at which people's powers are growing and expanding, I have to wonder whether such matters will even be an issue for our group in a few years time.
>>
You do the only reasonable thing you can- you flumph back onto the pillows, sinking into their softness, and Summer lay down on you.

"What's the current accretion factor at?"
"... The what?" She asked. "How much faster we're going? About ten times, or something. An hour to us is six minutes to them." She said. "I might want to close up these rifts if I want to nap, though. It's too bright out there anyway."
>>
>>24847112
We should talk to the techs, and tell them where we're going.

Can you make some paper and a pen? We can pass them a note!
>>
>>24847112

"I wonder if i can reach out to anyone from here."

let's put it to the test, try to send a message to the lead scientist in the room, if we know who that is.
>>
>>24847112
"Yeah, let's have a power nap."

"I'll telepath it to them!"
<Hey, we're gonna have a power nap. We'll be out in a 5 minutes.>
>>
"I wonder if I can reach out to anyone from here..." You say, and reach out to the technician. <Hey, we're gonna have a power nap!>
There wasn't a response, but in slow motion, you saw them start to talk.
"You can reach out?" Summer asked, and you nod. "Good, I probably should've tested that before that."

And then, surrounding you, the rifts closed, and you were in a large, doorless room, floating, red wisps of light in the top of the room. It was dark, and red, but the floor was made of pillows.
Summer rolled around, and continued eating snacks.
"So now, if we download all the television we want beforehand, we could hang out here all the time!" She said. "Instant vacation."
You close your eyes, and relax. Summer started to purr.

>>
>>24847295
Dream of Knowledge.
And Voiding more crystals.
And the things that could be done with them.
>>
>>24847344
We should ask if she can get not-theta to give us purring again!
>>
"Can you make a door? I'd feel a little more comfortable." You say. "This just feels a little... unnatural."
"Sorry!" She said, and a door appeared, complete with an uplift-usable knob.
You lay back on the pillows (and summer, but you're using her as a pillow anyway), and close your eyes. "Jeez, it's been a busy day."
"And now we can just sleep and relax." Summer said, and you scritch her ears as you eat.
You simply relax there, for a while, and start to think of that strange clairvoyance you showed at dinner. It wasn't quite knowing new things, it was almost as if it let you look at things from... a different angle.

And as you lay there, you thought...

You are an infinite amount of space and time away from home, the galaxy spinning away from you. You were within your own universe, which consisted of a single room, and a doorway to leave this place forevermore. Clocks unwound themselves and dreams babbled on.
And then you understood, that all of these things around you did not have the potential of character like the restaurant did.

For a tantalizing moment, you saw the eternity of the entire universe.
She was a purring tiger, of course.

And then things returned to normal, and Summer was purring, asleep, and you slept yourself.

Some time later, you woke up. Summer was asleep, and Winter, in very slinky nightwear, curled up with her, hugging the both of you. The pillows were fluffy, and the snacks had somehow uneaten themselves, full again. Summer was drooling.
>>
>>24847532
But I like Summer's brain where it is, not dribbling out of her nose...
>>
>>24847536
"Summmmmmer."
>>
>>24847536
"Hello, is this Winter? Can we talk?"
"I've heard so much about you."
>>
>>24847536

we should probably get out soon, gently nudge Summer awake.
>>
Hug tiger, eat food, wake up Tiger.
>>
(if we do this every time we need sleep we'll probably drive the station batty in a week. So lets do it!)
>>
>>24847570
Oh, right, we're meant to ask the questions in advance, or the suggestion won't get taken.
I was hoping to talk to Winter about Summer, and get a new perspective, if possible.

"How is Summer holding up?"
"Have you always known what you were?"
>>
Err guys Winter IS Summer. Asking her stuff is asking Summer.
>>
>>24847611
Winter is more like an alter ego. For a long time, Summer thought she was real, meaning she has her own personality and such. While Summer is asleep, that should surface.
>>
"Hello, is this Winter?" You ask the sleeping manifestation. "Can we talk?"
"I'm Winter, and we can talk, but not really." She said, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. It felt like she'd only been pretending to sleep until now. "I'm all subconsciously her and stuff."
"How is Summer holding up?"
"She's holding up fine, I think." She said. "I might be wrong, though. She deludes herself, sometimes."
"Have you always known what you were?"
"Not until she did." She said. "Which was around the... accident."
>>
>>24847649

"can you tell me what happened?"
>>
>>24847649
"Why... didn't you tell her? Er, yourself? I'll just refer you two seperately, okay?"
>>
>>24847649
So you're subconciously her, but you're also you!
Thankyou for looking after Summer.
>>
>>24847649
"What's she dreaming of? Shall we wake her up?"
>>
>>24847649
Summer is the best thing to hug ever, isn't she?

When we want to end the conversation, we should kiss Winter.
>>
"Can you tell me what happened?"
"Aircar. We were playing around, the aircar came down, I didn't notice. Boom, shattered like glass! Summer and I realized then, and she... deluded herself into thinking I was real and had died. It was easier, that way."
"What's she dreaming of?" You ask.
"Me. This. Here." She said. "She's dreaming of what's actually happening right now."
Winter itched summer's ear, and the purring grew.
"Shall we wake her up?"
"If you want to." She said. "I don't like to make decisions."
>>
>>24847704

"fair enough"

"Summer~" itch her ears.

"Fair enough." You say.
"Especially because it'd be harder for me to be autonomous like this, if she's awake." She said, and gave Summer a hug.
"Summer is the best thing to hug ever, isn't she?"
"She's really fluffy." Winter said. You scratched Summer's ears.
"Hug me!"
"Alright!" Winter said, and tackled you into the pillows with a hug. "Did you know, this place is pillows all the way down?"
>>
>>24847862
"How down? All the way to the end of the universe down?"
>>
>>24847862
"I didn't. How far down does it go?"
>>
>>24847862
"I am sad that most will never know the joy of a pillowverse."
>>
>>24847862
How far down? Let's build a massive pillow fort!
>>
>>24847862

"how far down are we talking about?"
>>
>>24847862
"I did. Last night, I saw the entire universe at once. And it was a tiger."
>>
>>24847862
"Can we make a pillow mine? Then from that build a pillow fortress?"
>>
>>24847862

Guys, Summer is actually the perfect assistant to help us with our Omnivoyance. She could make a universe for us, and shield parts of it from immediate sight and force us to perceive it otherwise. Zener Cards for reality.
>>
"How down?" You ask. "All the way to the end of the universe down?"
"... You're implying there is an end." She said.
"And I did. Last night, I saw the entire universe at once. And it was a tiger."
"It's still night, outside. Can't have been more than maybe half an hour." Winter said.
Then she stared directly into your eyes. She was strange, the way she constantly spoke so softly, so tentatively- as if a single wrong move could shatter her like glass.
"That's how I see it all the time, anyway."
>>
>>24847911
Well, we did say we'd tell her about our new powers after we'd checked out her universe, so we can ask her about that when she wakes up.
>>
>>24847921
Hug her, ever so gently.
>>
>>24847921

"Is there something on your mind?"
>>
>>24847921
"That's not a bad thing though, is it?"
Scratch her ears.

Do you think it's worth investigating methods of getting Winter her own self? Via biokinesis and telepathy and such?
>>
>>24847966

i don't think it would work, would it?

i mean, she is part of Summer, always has been...

man, i don't even know, anymore.
>>
You pull her into a hug as well. "That's not a bad thing though, is it?"
"Not really, no." She said.
"Is there something on your mind?"
"I don't really have a mind to speak of." Winter said, and pulled herself to her feet, holding out a hand. "Come on, let's go make Summer's dream interesting. The door's unlocked, anyway."
>>
>>24847988
She is part of Summer, and yet her own self. She's her own thing, with her own desires, yet entirely bound by Summer's will.
I think of her like a character that Summer is writing. Summer can write her wrong, but she knows it.
>>
>>24848020

"Onwards. To adventure!"
Manifest a cowboy hat.
>>
>>24848020

A slight, weak pout "But the fluffy..."
Take her hand. "For the fluffy."
>>
>>24848020

>>
>>24848020

"let's keep it a pleasant one, she's my precious room mate and friend after all!"

>and now i sleeeep
>good luck gentlemen

>>
>>24848020
"It's kind of philosophical since we don't know what's beyond the door. There could be nothing, there could be an eternal paradise of flufiness. Some people would see the door as a metaphore to death."
>>
You take her hand, and she hefted you off of your feet with a strength you didn't expect her to have.
"Onwards. To adventure!" You say. "Let's keep it a pleasant one."
"Aw, so I guess I can't lead you to the harem room." She said, and giggled. The two of you trudged through the pillows and made your way up to the door, and winter opened it.

You were blinded by the light, and when you opened them again, you were on a hill, on earth. Rolling hills crawled along the ground, and you could see the sea from here. Soldiers, in red robes with long, sharp swords, sparred against one another. You hear a battle cry- something about skitardas.
"Oh, whoops. Wrong place." Winter said. "It's so confusing, now that she's partitioned everything."
With a heel, she carved a door shape in the ground, and plunged her hand into the dirt where the doorknob should be.

There was another flash, and you were sitting above heaven's jewel, on one of the massive ice chunks twirling through the atmosphere. It wasn't cold- it was almost more like glass. Winter was sitting on the other, falling at the same rate and speed as your own.
"How's this?" She asked.
>>
>>24848138

"What do you mean partitioned?"

>>24848138

>>24848215
Not really.
It works as far as Summer understands it.
if we try something that we know doesn't but she thinks does it will.
>>
"Oh my!" You say. "What do you mean, partitioned?"
"Before it was all one universe." She said. "Now it's a... constellation of them."
"This is awesome! Can you just make doors and go places? It's so pretty, and vibrant!"
"It is! And I can, sometimes." Winter said. "There are more times I can't, but that's when Summer is using me or remembering me. I have to hide from her a lot."
"Is this where I usually live?"
"Not this partition. This one is where she puts her fond memories. She's not completely conscious of this one. I live somewhere else, but that's... probably not good for a sentient being, maybe, to be there. But we're in a dream anyway- well, you're in a dream- so it should be fine..."

She just sat there, and caught a smaller ice chunk, examining it. "I don't like to make decisions on my own."
>>
>>24848266
I decide you should do what you want for a while!
Does that help?

Just show me!

Oh, so when Summer is manifesting a Winter that isn't Winter, as a second body?

"Why doesn't Summer just Manifest the You that is You?"
>>
Guys.
Winter is a Tulpa. I feel bad for her.
>>
"That makes sense. You're a fragment of her subconsciousness, and that's not the bit that makes decisions."
"Why do you have to hide from her?"
"That's... really hard to explain." She said. "You know when you have a dream, and you can't remember it? How it's on the tip of your tongue, but the more you focus on it, the less you remember?"
You nod.
She gave you a smile. "That's my consciousness."

"Just show me!" you say.
"Okay!" She said, and scraped a door shape into her ice chunk, using the chunk she had in her hand as a doorknob. Everything went white again.

And then you were in a large, warmly lit room. Colorful furniture sat around, though none of it quite matched. A coat that looked scavenged from some dream hung on a hook, and an ancient computer sat at the wall. A painting of you with a sniper rifle, cut off jeans, and a strange flame-themed bikini was up on the wall, and the bed was made of pillows. A long, glimmering staff sat leaned up against the wall, sparkling with obviously-magical power.

That's when you noticed that the only door in the room was scrawled on with what looked like markers.
And then you noticed a dull black chest. It had a clasp, but no lock.
You had a strange, strange feeling that it should have a lock on it.
"This is my room. Everything I've found and liked is in this little pocket."

Hey, can you make your own stuff, in here? Or do you have to steal it from outside?

Huh, I didn't think Heather's hair was that long.
>>
>>24848447
Does she know about here, or is it all hidden?
>>
"This is so surreal." You say. "Where'd that poster came from?"
"A pre-trid cartoon of some kind. I think it was a parody of the robot fighting cartoons. Summer never finished it." Winter said, and relaxed on her bed.
"Can you make your own stuff in here? Or do you have to steal it from outside?"
"From outside." She said.
"Does she know about here, or is it all hidden?"
"Hidden." Winter said.

You pull her into a hug, and look over to the computer. It had an ancient, ancient CRT monitor, and the screen was pure black, with a blinking, horizontal bar.
"I can't type into that computer." She said. "It's kind of always been here."
>>
>>24848514
It is when Theta makes it long.

"Why doesn't that chest have a lock on it?"
>>
>>24848543

Have a look at the computer, but DO NOT TOUCH IT.

"Why doesn't that chest have a lock on it?"
"Summer hasn't made a lock for it. She doesn't want to." Winter said.
"How did you get the magic staff?"
"I play in her fantasy dreams now and then, as a wizard. It's fun." Winter said.

You let go of Winter, and make your way closer to the computer. The keyboard was there, but dust covered it.
"What do you mean, 'can't' type into it?"
"I can't. Like I can't open the box." She said. "Or make many decisions."

You type, as the clicking of the keyboard strangely satisfying.

Carefully, slowly, you put Winter's hands on the keyboard, and she started to type, fingers clacking and ticking.

First thing she typed, was...

>/I believe in you too, Summer.

And there was a flash of light, and you were sitting in the pillows.
Summer was sitting up, awake, and Winter was nowhere to be found.
"M-morning, sleepyhead." Summer said.
She was sniffling.

Hug Summer.

You essentially tackle Summer in the tightest hug you've ever hugged, holding her there for the longest time. She tried to get up now or then, but you kept hugging her down until she gave up.
"Morning, Summer." You say, after a while.
"You okay, Heather?" She asked, quietly, and sniffled again. "Even though it's probably not morning, outside of my little pocket thingy."
"I believe in you too." You say.
".. W-what?" She asked, and started to tear up. "Just saying that out of nowhere like that..."
She pulled you into a tight hug as well.

>>
"You don't have to do anything. Not on your own." You say.
"You're acting really weird." She said.
"... I met Winter." You say. "She's still with you, Summer."

Summer stopped talking, and just sat there as the two of you hugged.

And then she started purring.
"I... I know." She said, quietly. "It... it was a dream. I just don't know where you went after Heaven's Jewel."
She was quiet. "And I don't think it's something I'm supposed to know."

Summer's manifestation- not Winter, but a sandy blond, messy-haired girl with much more muscle and tan than Winter had- appeared, and pulled you into a hug as well.
"Let's go back to the station, okay?" She asked.

You hear something whisper a thank you in your ear- in Winter's voice.

>End of thread!
>>
>>24849441
So, Winter is an independent sentience?
>>
>>24849721
And can we interview her at some point?
>>
So... perhaps it's just me being dense, but I'm really not understanding what's been going on with Heather's powers today.

Could someone boil it down into simple terms for me, because right now I'm just looking through all the posts of Heather's there's not being here and seeing other galaxies that may or may not exist and feeling the soul of a bar and I'm confused as fuck.
>>
>>24849794
Psionics!
Her technopathy is turning into... everythingpathy.
>>
>>24849841
Was this foreshadowed earlier, because I kind of feel like it came out of the blue at the start of today's thread?
>>
>>24849861
If it was, I didn't notice it.
The impression I got was that this is an expanded consciousness sort of thing. Robin said Heather's 'where' was 'all over'. I imagine that's because Heather's perspective had been expanded to include more space than can fit into her person. That widening of scope also means a shift in the perspective as well, she could understand more about people, more about empathy, more about the limits of technopathy. And probably more still if she kept pushing.
>>
>>24849794
I honestly don't know either. I'm hoping some of the scientists can tell us what's happening tomorrow.
>>
I think what the deal is, that heathers technopathy was never really technopathy, it's just that technological devices were the only thing she ever targeted. She made it so the devices were able to express their inherent character that has been given to them via their creators/history/purpose. That's why whatshisfucks stuff can't be effected by heather, because they have no character.

maybe, I'm also confused.
>>
>>24850675
Yeah, that's the same impression I got.

Makes you wonder what we can do with hyperconciousness.

And Void. That sounds even better.
>>
>>24849794
This is how I think of it.

Heather never was doing "Technopathy", what we were doing was just a facet of what our true power is. What we do is take something and give it personality, life and direction. We inbue things with sentience.

I think we subconsciously use our Perfect Recall on an object to know its history, our Telepathy to reach out to things, and TK to do other stuff for it, and we make it sentient and alive, we're the exact opposite of Alex who takes away whose power is anti-sentience.

The reason we did it as Technopathy as first is because that's what we understood, we focused on machines, Heather intuitively knows and understand machines, she's always ascribed personality and quirks on otherwise lifeless pieces of metal and circuitry.
>>
>>24850742
...You know, this means we should probably make sure that everything Heather has ever Technopathied is registered as a kind of AI now, so that they don't get 'killed' by being scrapped or whatever.
>>
>>24850742
Wonder if we can do it with places.
Imagine what would happen if Heather uses it on place with significant history, like a battle field.
>>
>>24850819
Well the restaurant we were at earlier had "character" which according to >>24844882 means we can awaken it. It needs three things, an object, a place, and character.

In a broad sense a battlefield is an object, just as a restaurant would be and object, it's definitely a place, and it might be considered to have character. Some random plot of land might not, but somewhere with history and personality to it, that seems like character.
