You are Ssen, a Lamia raised by a human Paladin who adopted you after killing the ones who birthed you. You are grown now, and Father has passed on. After a great deal of work, you have become a Paladin like your Father, and now take up his duties.

You are accompanied by your best friend from childhood, the insect druid Tricia; Mage, a magic user who ran away from his family of cannibal raiders known as the Ghouls (Yes, his name is Mage. It was his idea); Persephone, a 22-year old thief/ex-guerllia fighter (She goes by Peri), and Mari, a 13-year old prodigy scholar/now sniper, who has her mind and soul trapped within Peri's body; and Lea, a deeply religious musician/martial artist, trained by her father, a famous trainer for arena fighters, she's covered from her mouth down in bandages to hide the horrific state her body has become thanks to the 'cures' that saved her from cancer.

Your journey continues...

Well, time to see who runs the Conclave now, and if they're inclined to help us. We need to find a Woodsman's Compass, and check on Mari's body.
>>
>>24799411
Also, I just realized: if anywhere is likely to have Blue Apple Oak, it's either White Tree or the Grove.
>>
>>24799512
yeah. We should perhaps check around. Ask the local tavern owner over some non-trail food.
>>
>>24799411
"Hello?" Mari calls inside past the door. She tries the knocker again.

"Conclave's closed." A voice says. You all turn. It's a young boy. "Overseer Trivalon took everyone out on an expedition." He rolls his eyes. "Everyone of age though. The rest of us have to go back to our homes, or kitchens, or backyard sheds." He sighs. "Anyway, Conclave is closed until he and the others return."

"Where was this trip?" Mari asks.

The kid shrugs. "Something about bears in the mountains."

"Marvelous." Mage mutters. "Just great."
>>
>>24799558
How much money to we have on hand?

Probably not enough to solve this. We'll have to do a public outreach to fix the new tradeless parentless child problem.
>>
>>24799558
It's not like we need a warrant to enter right? I mean. Paladin. Clearly there's someone in need of help. Oh I know! Maris body!
>>
>>24799558
"Hey Mari, how do the staves set up replacements for conclave facilities anyway? Assuming you know. which I hope you do."
>>
>>24799610
yes, what ABOUT maris body? With no supervision?
>>
Oh, wonderful, woke up just in time for the second thread.
>>
>>24799558
I think they need the truth here. We should tell them that Trivalon won't be coming back, and figure out if any of those who left with him have family here who might want to head towards Bronze Peak now.
>>
>>24799558
"You guys got the keys? Paladin business."
>>
>>24799558
"I'm sorry to say that Overseer Trivalon will not be coming back. He's been accused of necromancy and will most likely face the death penalty."
>>
"I'm sorry to say that Overseer Trivalon will not be coming back. He's been accused of necromancy and will most likely face the death penalty." You say.

"Seriously?" The kid says. "Trivalon? Our Overseer Trivalon?"

"Yes." You point at the door. "You guys fot the keys? Paladin business."

The kid points at a decorative lion on the steps. "In the mouth...for emergencies like having to turn in a paper late."

Peri/Mari reach inside the statue and pull something free. "Thanks kid." She says. "If anyone asks any questions...just tell them Paladin business, and they need to stay clear to stay safe."

He nods. "Overseer Trivalon...booze-breath Trivalon? Who cares more about the contents of his bottle than the contents of the library...is a Necromancer? Seriously?"
>>
>>24799726
I'm afraid so. When I pulled that mask off I was as shocked as you.
>>
>>24799726
"And kind of a jerk too, truth be told."
>>
>>24799726
"Yes, even I was fooled by him. Goes to show you what some people are hiding."
>>
>>24799726
"Sadly, yes. Do take care of yourself."

Move on in.
>>
>>24799726
"Yeah, it was quite surprising. I really liked the old guy, too.

How would they choose a new overseer, after one can't do it any more?"
>>
>>24799774
Now, now. A Palladin shouldn't speak ill of the dead.
>>
>>24799822
he ain't dead yet
>>
>>24799829
still, I liked the guy.

Until it turned out he was working for the other side. Still kinda liked him as enemies even then.
>>
>>24799775
"Yes, even I was fooled by him. Goes to show you what some people are hiding." You say. "And he's kind of a jerk too, truth be told."

The kid walks away shaking his head.

"Think I knew him." Mari says. "We need to check on my body too." She says as she unlocks the door.

The Conclave is big, cavernous and empty. The libraries are still, and the lecture halls are just open spaces that cause the other's footsteps to echo.

"So, we're looking for the vault." Mari says. "Trivalon never kept anything too valuable or dangerous here. He sent it all to Citadel."

"I wonder why your Grandmother didn't just ask him for the telescope and focus stones." Peri asks. "I mean she had that book with the Dramatae on it, and was supported by this Holting guy, and Trivalon was a Passion."

"Maybe there was infighting and politicking among the lower ranks of the Dramatae." Lea says. "We've just changed their priorities, now."

"Maybe." Tricia says.

You head down a flight of stairs and Mari fiddles with a puzzle lock on a pair of big iron doors.

"Why do they put those things on such an important location?" Mage says. "What's wrong with a key?"

"Tradition." Mari says. "Also, might be a Citadel thing. I mean who ever heard of a secret vault being guarded by a locked door that just opened with a key?" There's a CLUNK and the door slides open. "There we go."

You all walk into the vault. It's not very fancy, just a big stone storeroom. The centerpiece is a large glass coffin in which a slightly overweight, frizzy black haired, girl is kept within.

"Hi me." Mari says.

"When we switch bodies." Peri says. "I am putting us on a workout schedule."

"Yeah, yeah. I know." She sighs. "Provided my body's not messed up from the poison, and being in a Glass Coffin for that long might also have side effects." She frowns. "I mean, this is old Elven magic, so...yeah."

"Any idea where the woodsman compass might be?" Lea asks.

"No idea." Mari says.
>>
>>24799963
Time to look at magic!
>>
>>24799963
"I guess we should spread out and start searching for it."

first, magic sight, but I suspect the room is littered with magical things so if that fails use our lamia tongue to try and taste/smell Robin, as they where the ones that aquired it for White Tree.

It's a storeroom?

Start opening boxes. Just opening them like crazy.

"Have we made any progress on the poison issue, by the way? I can't think of any real fix for that."
>>
>>24800044
"Well, other than decoding your granny's notes. Somehow."
>>
>>24799997
You open your lids and look around. The place has fewer magic items than you'd thought.

To be more exact. There aren't any. The items on the shelves and the small alcoves are just junk. Not a single hint of a glow.

Well...hang on. There's a glow coming from one of the alcoves that's empty...and your shell bracelet is vibrating.
>>
>>24800084
>shell bracelet
which one was that? Anyone remember?

I wanted to get a brillitite one.
>>
>>24800084
ooo lets go check it out. Careful of traps though.
>>
>>24800084
"Maybe they keep the good stuff in one of those hidden compartment things. That seems appropriate."
>>
Well the glow is without a doubt on this wall. One of the bricks actually is glowing. You bend down for a closer look. You can see a small magical seal carved into it. Your bracelet you got from the glass assassin traitors is vibrating just slightly. But it's obvious that it gets a little stronger the closer you get to that one brick.
>>
>>24800218
Oh nice we have key to more then just the Grove and the Mansion. Use it.
>>
>>24800218
ah, now I remember. THAT bracelet.

"It might be harder to find that compass than we thought. The key bracelet is going nuts about this brick here."
>>
>>24800267
"It might be harder to find that compass than we thought. The key bracelet is going nuts about this brick here." You say.

"Let me see." Mari says. She looks at the brick. "I don't see anything."

"Hold on..." Mage looks. He winces. "Hold on...yeah...I kinda see it. It's a seal...all blurry. Can't make out what it is."
>>
>>24800319
Dig out the brick with Beacon?
>>
>>24800319

You get a piece of paper and a chunk of charcoal and trace out the design of what you're looking at , roughly.

"Okay, that's either a spell that can cause a chicken to lay eggs that have polka dot shells, or it's a teleport ring like that one we set up in Ted's house." Mage says. "I'm betting the latter."
>>
>>24800434
Clever, they hid the important stuff somewhere else... or this is a trap. Either way it looks like a solo trip and we have no other leads.

Wish me luck.

Tap bracelet with brick.
>>
>>24800434
"Any way to know where it goes? Because I don't fancy a trip to, for instance, Citadel's deepest darkest dankest dungeon."
>>

"Oh, I hate teleporting."
>>

Maybe have everyone grab our hand/tail?
>>
>>24800434
It's time for a teleport on the Ssen snake train!
>>
>tell child of necromancy

The peasants were terrified of that building for 345 years after that.
>>
>>24800479
"Oh, I hate teleporting. Any way to know where it goes? Because I don't fancy a trip to, for instance, Citadel's deepest darkest dankest dungeon."

Mage shrugs. "I doubt it would be Citadel's dungeon. Distance is too far."

"Could you guys follow me if you held onto my tail?" You ask.

"Maybe." Mage says shrugging. "Thing is, a teleporting circle only tells you half of the spell's details. The other half of the spell that can tell me the rest is the circle that's wherever this one sends you to." He shrugs. "Sorry."
>>
>>24800567

those blanks we've been facing have to come from somewhere.

Also necromancy is famous for producing lots of dead bodies.
>>
>>24800590
"Well, fortune favors the bold. Grab on, and here we go!" You say.

The other Dawnchasers all grab your other arm, puts arms around your waist, or lets your tail wrap around them.

You touch your bracelet hand to the brick.

There's that usual horrible jerk that just makes your stomach feel like it's three inches out of place.

Then your vision returns to normal and you look around. You're in a study, a very very fancy study. Your hand is on a white sphere that's placed on a pedestal. The other Dawnchasers are with you, also looking as ill as you are.

"Where the hell are we?" Peri says. "Ugh...give me a second."
>>
>>24800746
Give her a second while you conveniently give yourself a second.

Then spears up, we're surrounded probably.
>>
>>24800746
It's a study right, so there might be books or something in there. Scan the titles for anything interesting if there are any.
>>
>>24800746
Find the door, might want someone watching that. Also check if there's any windows and look outside.
>>
>>24800746

>>
>>24800746

Look around for any papers or other items that might give a hint about our location.

Well, this place is filled with magic, low residual stuff everywhere, but there's other little pedestals with spheres on them that are glowing pretty brightly. A white one, a gold one, one that's a deep purple that's almost black, and one that looks like stone that has a wood grain to it. There's also one of grey stone, and one of bronze, those two aren't glowing any more, and there's one that's coral pink, but it's cracked, and also not glowing.

"This is Bear Tribe script." Mari says, taking one of the books off the shelf. "I remember it from the library."

"Can you read it?" Mage asks.

Mari shakes her head. "Trust me, it's easier to read the iron books than to figure Bear Script out." She puts the books back.

Tricia shakes her arms and a few large ants drop out from her sleeves. "Go." She says to them and they creep out, going under the door.

There's a large desk in the room, and a fireplace. It doesn't look like people have been in here for a while though, a little dust is present here and there. At the very least, who ever uses this room, hasn't been very diligent in cleaning.
>>
>>24801035

"Light be praised, if this is what I think it is, and we can figure out how to use it..."
>>
>>24801035
Oh hell this is a teleport hub. All those are different cities.
>>
>>24801070
Yesssssssss. Fuck we are going to so level the playing fiel if we can clear this for our own continued use.
>>
>>24801035
Give the magic device a cursory spin. It is, after all, the portal of destiny or whatever.

Then ignore it, because it's worthless.

"Tricia, did you know you'd look like 10cactus wet red rock in the distant future? This machine said so. I've no idea what it means."

>>
(The coral, bronze and grey stones not glowing anymore were big fucking clues to the nature of the thing. Most likely its for Passion retreats like this one.)
>>
>>24801070
I cannot believe I missed that...

the coral, grey stone and bronze ones are obvious, we just need to figure out the others.

unsure which one the Gold and the Purple/black lead to, I suspect I am forgetting a city besides Grand Citadel, White Tree and First Wood.
>>
>>24801035
We need to station guys here. We can capture and detain so many of the Dramataes agents and secrets if we can hold this teleport hub
>>
I suspect deep purple is Citadel or Peace's retreat. That colour has been associated with both. Wood Grain is either First Wood or the Grove itself. White is obviously White Wood. Not sure about Gold, but that might be Purple Sands. Or it might be the Mansion.
>>
>>24801213
I agree with this sooooooooo much.
>>
>>24801035
"Mage, come consult with me on this magic device. I think it might be key to this key."
>>
>>24801260
gah, purple sands!

Purple is probably the Sands, Gold for Grand Citadel, White for White Tree and the wood grain is First Wood.
>>
>>24801035
Peri, go sneak outside and see where exactly are we and try not to get yourself spotted.
>>
"Oh...guys...you need to see this." Tricia says. "The room next to us is empty...but you should see this."

You all go into the next room. It looks like that room of crazy conspiracies about nothing that Mage made while under Citadel influence...but this one is less crazy and limited to just a few standing blackboards. Again it's dusty in here, but you're more focused on one of the black boards.
- - -
Seventh Age Proposal
Origin: Jubilee (Population <50)

There's pictures of Adahn, both before and after the magic applied, and what can only be Lilly as the picture of the dull looking girl is next to Ava.

There's three more pictures of people before and after their conversion.

Unifying Incident: Purple Sands
Wasp Witch
(Allow full evacuation by way of public attack, wasp zombies from hostile Desert tribes will also reduce long term conflict in area. Estimated casualties <100, less if defense is compromised and forces retreat.)

Shaper of Darkness: Cold Shadow? Black Spider? Dragon of Night? Snake of Shadows?
Peace requests possible elimination of long term destabilizations...Naga in Stone Hall limited threat. Dragon also limited threat. They are much less to attack us on own volition. Best option is to ignore, by time Citadel has reached them, will be easy to subdue.
- - -

There's also another board filled with the Newgates. There's circles around a few of them. Notes like Sociopath, Religious nut, and Mentally Weak. Then there's one around Isen.
- - -
Shows no desire to rule, but his status as favorite of Solomon is destabilizing as causes the others to become jealous of him, his adventures, and his closeness to the king. Advice is to either remove him to Phoenix Empire, or arrange his elimination. Death would be stabilizing.
- - -
On and on it goes. Boards filled with information, possible scenarios, and other information about Citadel.
>>
>>24801035
Grey stone = Stone Hall
Bronze = Bronze Peak
Coral Pink = Coral Gate
White = White tree
Gold = Citadel

>There's three more pictures of people before and after their conversion.

That's going to be critical. What do they look like? Memorize their appearances.

What do they have on the Dawnchasers?
>>
>>24801447
It's got to be. No way a living Dramatae would leave their sanctum unguarded like this.
>>
>>24801474
they're the three other members of the lightbringer's group.
>>
>>24801387
They know of Granny. Told ya. Those three are probably the betrayer and the other companions.

Alright as interesting as this is it still doesn't lead us to the compass.

Unless...

All the powerful magic is sent to Citadel. We have a teleport stone to Citadel.
>>
>>24801486
Oh, you're right. I was thinking of the new Lightbringers they're making, but sadly that's the more likely explanation.
>>
>>24801488
we need to tell granny they know about granny.

Because... she can go to the beach. No harm.
>>

search for anything dated for after Stone Hall was sacked by the Ghouls.
>>
>>24801556
Honestly I doubt theres much. They killed him just before we cleared the Ghouls out for betraying them.
>>
>>24801556
Talking about Stone Hall, I get the feeling that we're closer than we think to it as Rage had been born there. Also look for anything like our bracelet, if we can find more of those, we'll can find more Dramatae hideouts and secrets.
>>
>>24801387
This is really Comedy's study. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!! Copy down all relevant information as quickly as possible.
>>
>>24801606
Rage. Not Comedy. Comedy's is in the Grove.
>>
>>24801575
its basically just to confirm that this was Rage's lair and not a general Dramatae hangout spot.
>>
If it is Rage's lair then that ups the possibility that the others lead directly to the Grove\Mansion and whatever Peace bases out of.
>>
>>24801614
Still they NEVER deactivated this place. We need to abuse the unholy fucking ba-jebus out of it. Get weapons caches, fortifications, maybe a few of our followers here.
>>
>>24801676
the biggest problem is that our bracelet is the only key.
>>
>>24801674
really doubt they connect their lairs to each other, and the number of stones is completely wrong for that, there are the exact number of stones as there are/where cities, no more and no less.
>>
>>24801689
I doubt it. If we can find out exactly where we are on a map we can get a garrison for this place. I mean it can't be in another dimension or something.
>>
Ssen: Gape for a while while leviathan brain processes new information.
>>
>>24801736
that would be incredible unsafe considering how well the Mansion and Grove are supposed to be trapped.

Ssen Patrick (Name, Ssaud, Fourth Born Monster)
Destabilizing factor. Class 1
Mental Assault? Leviathan Traits in Brain make inadvisable.

Physical Attack? Trained by Liam Patrick (See Soma Incident) Inadvisable.

Recommendation: Ignore her. Any action taken against her will cause a reaction that CANNOT PREDICT. A lack of stimulus will cause her to be mild presence. Curiosity. Can be used as possible stabilization factor for rogue elements.
- - -
They also have a bunch of information on the others. They don't have Mage's real name though.

You keep searching, you finally find something that's after the Stone Hall massacre. It's a journal on a desk. The final entry.
- - -
I have set up the Ghoul Attack on Stone Hall. The Lightbringers will arrive and it will be the unifying incident. It is hardly ideal. The casualties will be in the thousands. The City will be unstable for years, and I got incredibly drunk and took some blue-smoke.

Enough to send me to the Blank Space. I spoke to the Fifth.

The Fifth has spoken to me...shown me the Array. There is no stopping it. I have run one last scenario, and I have seen what it ends in. The world covered in Citadel. Every surface, and even within the crust. All of it. All of us. More and more. I see it reaching out like an amoeba, swallowing planets, and nothing stopping it. The Lightbringer sacrifices would no longer be needed...Citadel would just keep building itself...suns and stars locked within glass domes, worlds ripped apart to forge new roads, children born that never see stars...there will just be Citadel.

It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

It is horrible.

The scenario cannot sustain itself. It has to be undone. Thankfully, that will be simple. Peace is never wrong...but she will be. It is my scenario. It is mine to create, and I know how to destabilize it.
>>
>>24801754
Good point. Still we're here in Rage's Holdout and we should loot the place clean. Once we get some more paladins and mages on our side we can really really investigate this place.

This gives me a bad idea. We go to Citadel, go straight to HIS, and ask her for some paladins we can trust (the ones from the shorter list) and put them in Rage's place to investigate. So waht do you guys think?

>>
>>24801830
Huh. That's... not good.

also this has ALL been rage's xanatos gambit?
>>
>>24801830
I will obviously be killed for this. Peace tolerates no form of betrayal, and no form of dissent...but I will have the last laugh. Citadel will burn, and I have taken measures. My soul will not be used to build more roads, or support more buildings. I will not be going on the Journey, but just to the dark oblivion...but I know what waits me on that path, and I am not about to be part of my own work.

I've sealed off the mansion, and sent the servants away. I should be angry, but instead I have peace...heh...and soon Peace will come to kill me with Soma...only to find that I have already departed.

I ask for no forgiveness. I did what was right, the best that I could.
- - -
>>
I will shed manly tears towards Rage.
>>
>>24801913
Say a prayer for Rage. He does not deserve oblivion; he deserves a journey to the Light. It'll be a long one, but far shorter than the other Dramatae.
>>
Rage was the one who planted the idea to poison the kids. He is the one who caused them to fail. All to bring this about.

A prayer for an evil man who finally saw the evil for what it was and fought it in the end. "Light Forgives you. Though your journey may be long indeed... I believe you will find Him in the end."

Rage was not the hero Citadel needed, or deserved.

So he made one.
>>

"Well. Rage wasn't the worst of guys, it seems. Guess the dramatae really lost a lot of their cunning when they lost him." You say.

"He still has much to answer for." Tricia says. "There's a small bedroom in this room." She's looking into a room. "More books, a chamber pot, and a nice looking mattress."

"The repentant soul has as much value as the virtuous." Lea says. "Forgive them and help them, so that we all may reach enlightenment."

"Rage, His Light Forgives you. Though your journey may be long indeed... I believe you will find Him in the end." You say a prayer in the empty room.

"Amen." Lea says.

"More books and notes in here." Mage says. "Looks like he kept records of all the other Lightbringers and what they went through...this is detailed stuff."

"Oh..." Tricia holds up her hand. "We're...uhh...we're not alone. We're in a lower level of...wherever we are...my ants are at these big stairs and...yeah...those are servants and that's a kitchen." She nods. "We're below the servant quarters."

"Do they not hear us?" Mage says.

"Hold on..." Tricia says. "We're at the bottom of some unused steps and the door that leads into these rooms. And the door's barred and labeled 'keep out.' So they've been ignoring it for ages."

"Rage lived down here and used those sphere to get around?" Peri says.

"Make sense, it's how he got from Purple Sands to Stone Hall so quickly." Mari says. "Though why he would stay here as a pet..."

"Maybe he found this stuff fun." Mage says looking at the records Rage kept. "Maybe he didn't like people either. Anyone who can turn people into numbers and 'factors' like this can NOT be fun at parties."
>>
>>24802080
Hmm. I don't know if I should be honored or creeped out or angry.
>>
>>24802095
"There goes all that travel time we used to rest on. How unhealthy did you say teleporting was, Mage?'
>>
>>24802095
Makes sense. Though it makes we wonder why they were going after Sandover as he wanted to be loved by the people. I take it no one has found anything about our compass?

Also I wonder whose mansion this is if it isn't Rage's/
>>
>>24802095
"Probably better than Comedy and her nutty cannibal soirees. Anyone find the Compass yet?"

If we ignore this snake, it won't notice or harm citadel.

So, rage asks, why not agitate the hell out of that snake?
>>
"There goes all that travel time we used to rest on. How unhealthy did you say teleporting was, Mage?" You ask.

"Depends. How attached are you to the last two feet of your tail?" Mage says.

"Makes sense. Though it makes we wonder why they were going after Sandover as he wanted to be loved by the people." You say.

"Different times with different needs. Also, maybe someone with an emotional attachment like Jeremy wouldn't betray them like Rage did." Lea sighs.

"Anyone find the compass yet?" You ask.

"I did." Tricia says. "It's upstairs in Lord Holting's treasure room."

"Your ants see it?"

Tricia nods. "I also see Lord Holting's family crest. A collection of Compasses. Another collection of those spheres we saw in the other room...and a tragedy mask made out of a shiny metal."
>>
>>24802250
gah, Rage's lair was in Tragedy's basement?
>>
>>24802250
Holting is Tragedy. And most likely he is in Citadel right now at the Paladin conference.

What do you guys say about stealing the compass, his mask, and burning the place down?
>>
>>24802265
Holting is also the last of the Bear Tribe.
>>
>>24802250
HUH! Well then maybe we should loot his mask as we leave.
>>
destroy the teleport orbs first of course before we do anything else.
>>
>>24802250
"That's an interesting development. Tragedy isn't the one we really want right now, but his MASK on the other hand...

How many servants did you say were between here and there?"
>>
>>24802278
Hmmm yeah i think that negates the whole library of books thing.
>>
>>24802278
Quite probably. Old One is going to be livid if so.
>>
>>24802250
"Awww. I wanted to get to Comedy first. Well...it's a foolish man who begrudges any ray of light, expected or not. Tricia do you think your friends can find where he is in the Mansion so we can have ourselves a little extraction?"
>>
>>24802278
If hes Tragedy he isn't going to give us permission for anything at all. Still taking his Mask will rob him of most of his power though I suppose Peace can just give him Rage's.
>>
I wonder where exactly is Rage's mask? We could use that to purify the lantern metal.
>>
>>24802309
Probably with Peace.
>>
>>24802265
"That's an interesting development. Tragedy isn't the one we really want right now, but his MASK on the other hand...How many servants did you say were between here and there?"

Tricia frowns. "There's a lot of staff here. Butlers, maids, cooks." Tricia says. "I'm not saying that we couldn't take them...but it'd be a fight."

"Also, I know White Tree." Mari says. "Holting's a grain baron. He has people coming and going, dealing with his numbers people as well as paying tribute. This isn't a secluded spot int he middle of nowhere. This is a big house with a big estate. It's a micro-village."

"How did someone related to the progressive Bear Tribe come to be part of the Dramatae." Lea says. "That's what i'd like to know."

"Rage might have put down the answer." Mage says. "He's written down everything...but there's no organization to his scrolls or how he placed his books. They're just filled with page after page of this stuff...this one has a whole bit remarking on how the presence of a flower can prevent a suicide of a mentally disturbed man for three days. He's upset that he can't try the different colors. Then this book is all the history of this one Purple Sands desert tribe, down to the finest details about their diet, building materials, even their favored clothing...Rage was brilliant...out of his mind...but brilliant."
>>
It's a bit too on-the-nose for lord holting to be tragedy.

I still say it might be like, his archivist. Or something. Just because it's an unexpected twist.
>>
>>24802375
Actually its perfect. The two greatest enemies of Citadel were the Bear Tribe, and the Fey Court. And guess who Peace recruited? My guess is Rage was similiar. He was living in Stone Hall after all and it was the first to fall out of Citadel's influence.
>>
>>24802375
"I keep wishing we had some people to process all the huge piles of information we get.Conclave uses students for this kind of thing, I bet."
>>
>>24802414
hah!
>>
>>24802378
well he has no sons or daughters, else he would not be the Last member of the Bear Tribe, perhaps a wife, but my bets are on him being Tragedy(reflecting what happened to his tribe kind of qualified for a tragedy)
>>
>>24802375
Alright we need to get into that treasure room. Tricia I doubt Lord Holting parades around in the Tragedy Mask, do you think you could find an alternative entrance. Someplace like this must be riddled with secret passages.
>>
Well, now we need to plan a mask heist.

But we also need to save white tree. And maybe visit the citadel conference since we apparently have a teleporter there now.
>>
I'm fading in and out guys. I'm gonna call it for the day. Next thread will be on Tuesday May 14th, 12-2pm but I'll see if I can't start it earlier. Have a good night, and may His Light be with you.
>>
>>24802457
Also, a thought:

What happens if we take our compiled evidence of the dramatae to the paladin conference?
>>
>>24802462
Tuesday, gotcha. Thanks a bunch for the thread. I'm getting kind of tired too.

So, rage sort of set us up for this whole thing?
>>
>>24802462
Good night, Echo. Amazing thread, with quite a few twists along the way.
>>
>>24802457
I don't think theres any way we are going to visit Citadel with the amount of things they blame us for.

>>24802462
Night Echo.

>>24802465
The Dramatae will wipe their minds using the power of Citadel... since we'll be right in the seat of its power. Or twist it.
>>
>>24802462
Night Echo, will be there, but will probably be late if it starts earlier than that.

really was not expecting Robin and Co to get mask'd
>>
>>24802495
i expected them to be brainwashed in some manner. the way they disapeared screamed DRAMATAE to me.
>>
>>24802495
I sort of was. I was expecting SOMEthing to happen to them. Something bad. This is... about in the ballpark.

I wish we could have seen one of them today, though. We only saw their mooks. That's a bad sign. It'll probably be difficult to help them.
>>
wait-a-minute

Did robin and the others even -know- about the dramatae? We didn't tell them.

Poor fuckers.
>>
A question, As Rage put in his diary,

>I've sealed off the mansion, and sent the servants away. I should be angry, but instead I have peace...heh...and soon Peace will come to kill me with Soma...only to find that I have already departed.

Why are there servants here? And how did Rage turn into a hikikomori that thought two rooms and a staircase become a mansion?
>>
Dunno particularly why, but I will forever think of Rage as like Van Gogh.
>>
>>24802719
It is a mansion, he just lives in the basement. Presumably he sent the servants away so they wouldn't be caught in the crossfire when Peace came to kill him and they came back later because Tragedy still lives here.

On a side note, when did we get magic-vision eyes? I do not remember having those at all.
>>
>>24806535
When we did the bonding ceremony with Tricia she bugged out and we were given a choice on what to improve. We chose the eyes and they made it so we could see magic. My guess its a Leviathan trait since she are perfect for underwater.
>>
>>24806565
>Everything. The residual heat from the fire. Peri/Mari and their heartbeat. The cracks in the wall, and well...you can see the little change what happens when Peri's there, as opposed to Mari, and you can see a...glow along one side of the wall. That's where Mage is trying to regain his stomach. You can see Beacon shining in the corner too.
Oh, neat. I thought we had just got heat-vision then. I was probably reading too fast with all the excitement of the ceremony and stuff.
>>
>>24807312
we already had heat vision. It, in fact, is my explanation for why we fail so many spot checks but are also hunters by profession-

We have shittier visual range vision, but we have thermals and shit to compensate.
