You are Doctor Victor Von Doom, Ruler of Latveria, Rightful king of the world, Master wizard and genius scientist.

You have captured a Skrull battlecruiser. Additionally, Valeria and Ms Kinney have baked a cake.

You have Mail!

Your armies stand at:
90,000 Servo-Guards
100 Doombots
100 Doomknights
1100 Silent stalkers
100 Time bots
1 Battle CDC
Please inquire as to any confusion with the different types

Finances stand at $18 billion dollars. Your new currency seems to be on the rise, being worth around $2.37 to one Latverian Victor

The colonies on Mars are thriving. The atlantean habitats are complete, and the mutants homes are now completed. Magneto has sent a list of mutants who wish to go, along with himself

Current allies are Molecule Man, Morgana le Fey, Deadpool and Magneto. Namor is also your friend, but does not respond well to orders, and X-23 may become a valuable asset if treated correctly

You have several goals, including:
Rescue mother from Mephisto
Defeat Reed Richards and friends
Take over the world
Establish other interplanetary mining colonies

Short term goals include:
Deal with battlecruiser
Spy on Johnny Storm's Female friends

Previous threads can be found here

How would you like to proceed, Lord Doom?

go get stoned with Magneto, he seems like bro
>>
Try cake and read Mail also apologies for missing the last thread on account of a cold but it looks like you guys handeled it well
>>

Turn battlecruiser into our flagship. Name it the vincible. Continue surveillance of johnny's friends.
>>
>>24786694
Not sure he'd go for that
>>
Late last night, after the thread ended, I believe some anons discussed getting on a talk show. Can we see if John Stewart has any openings within the next week or two?

We need to contact SWORD and demand a meeting with their chief officer. DOOM DEMANDS AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS BULLSHIT! Why was DOOM the only one who not only knew there was a Skrull battleship in the solar system, but also the one to take it without any assistance? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. If SWORD is going to fulfill it's mandate, it's going to have to step up its game. We need to give their leadership a proper dressing down, and push the UN for a seat on the World Security Council.

Speaking of the UN, how's our intervention in Syria going?
>>
>>24786673
>>24786716
Of course, sir. The cake is adequate, but nothing special. It has been poorly iced, and you can't tell what the picture is supposed to be

Ms Brand of SWORD wishes to know why there were 15 weaponised ships launched from mars, bearing the Latverian flag
>>
>>24786694
no, maybe strange, or dr.vodo

>>24786650
read mail,

have the battle cruiser moved to mars and studied put a full lab on it.

Eat cake ( scan first do not be seen doing this)

>>24786799
tell her they were investigating the silence of another Latverian ship, the matter has ben resolved. (remember to file a report with Sword latter in the day. )
>>
>>24786799
Because mining ships can be weaponised once on of their compatriots.
>>
>>24786798
I shall work on it, sir. Usually guests for the show are approached, but I shall try.

The fighting in Syria has stopped, due to any attempts to mobilise any troops are met with stun blasts and capture. Over a million troops from both sides have been captured and placed in prisoner of war camps. Separated from each other, of course
>>
>>24786799
Send her pictures and a video (recorded via doombot) of the battle to seize the skrull battleship.
"You ask me why I deployed weaponized spacecraft to defend my holdings in space after one of my mining ships was lost, and by extension to defend the planet Earth from hostile aliens prowling nearby. I ask ~YOU~ why ~I~ was the one who had to do this. This is ~YOUR~ job. How could you allow such a GROSS oversight to slip past you? Do you have any idea what that cloaked ship could have done if it had slipped into orbit above Hong Kong, or Tokyo, or New York? Rest assured I will be having words with the WSC very soon. If you wish to continue your tenure as Director of SWORD, you will impress them, and me, in ways you have never imagined before, or I will see you writing parking tickets in Little Rock, Arkansas for the rest of your life.
>>
>>24786799
Oh well not every one Can cook as well as DOOM!.

Arrange a metting with ms Brand at the next U.n meeting offering a full and detailed explaination during the lead up to the meeting we do what one anon said in the last thread and turn the captured cruiser into a latravian Diplomatic cruiser, file a flight plan and fly it over the u.n building.
>>
>>24786799
>15 weaponised ships launched from mars, bearing the Latverian flag
Inform Ms. Brand that, per our filed notification to SWORD, Latveria launched an investigation into the possible hostile hijacking of one of our mining ships.

We told them that we were going to investigate the site of a possible alien ambush; did they really think we would go there unprepared?
>>
>>24786733
Agreed on continuing surveillance. Have gotten any results.
>>
>>24786900

>>
>>24786733
>Name it the vincible
What? No.
It shall be named LSS Doom's Fist.
>>
>>24786900
No, the plan was to question their effectiveness, as we did SHIELD's, publicly in front of the UN.
>>
>>24786900
Shall I edit this footage for dramatic effect? Such as making it seem you went there personally?

>>24786936
None yet, though there are a lot to get through, sir.
>>
>>24786963
This. Definitely this. We surprise them with out 'diplomatic VTOL' actually being the captured battleship floating serenely above the UN.
>>
>>24786976
No, voices of dissent say that we shall be making this announcement when the UN convenes.
>>
>>24786976
No, let's wait and surprise them with it. Play coy with Brand and give evasive non-answers.
>>
>>24786993
Of course, sir. I shall look into the ship to see if more conventional controls can be introduced. It appears the ship is designed for stealth, fortunately.

It also seems there is a UN summit in a few days time on the matter of the Skrulls. It seems SHIELD believes them to be mostly defeated. I think this could be a good opportunity.
>>
After all this, can we take a week off and do something nonsensical and steal the Silver Surfer's board or a Watcher's Power Cosmic or get a Cosmic Cube and teleport into New York and try to shoot at the FF with it? We can blame it on a Rogue Doombot later, but we should probably relax every so often.
>>
>>24787070
We just got finished a relaxing day-trip, picnicking with our Goddaughter and her friend Laura. Doom has had enough relaxation. Now is the time for work.
>>
>>24787070
While shennanigans are fun and all we've already had a day off with laura and valeria, Not to mention this conflcts with our reforms to our pr image.
>>
>>24787114
It's not exactly exploding something, though. if it'd hurt our rep, we could just have an illusion on
>>
>>24786949

Latveria's Shining Star Doom's Fist?

Hey, let's get Molecule man to go help with the terraforming of mars. Maybe he can help with creating the perfect moon, or with the starting up of the core.
>>
>>24787150
True, which is why we'd use the Doombot excuse or have an illusion or something. We need to get our silly Supervillain urges out somehow, otherwise they'll get all bottled up and we'll end up jobbing against the Young Avengers or some shit.
>>
>>24787192
I assume it would be Latverian Star ship, sir. Shall I have it towed to the ship factory in the asteroid belt to have the designs scanned, sir?

You also have a meeting with Magneto tomorrow, though I can push it back if you want to destroy something instead.
>>
>>24787230
yes tow the ship

and keep the meeting

did we get any ware with the study of the implements x-23 used to break in?
>>

>>
>>24787284

>>24787249
Her invisibility was a fairly standard Richards Device, which failed to account for the infrared sensors in your employ. Nothing too special
The computer spike utilised parts of Mr Robot, Valeria's Doombot, to access all of your files. It would likely be useless elsewhere
The EMP weaponry was able to bypass the Doombot shielding as he knew the shield frequency. It has since been changed.

She got in through the sewers, sir
>>
>>24787338
Is there anyway to randomly change shield frequencies so that foreknowledge of them will make them useless?

Yes, sir.

You rest and awaken feeling much better after a tense battle.

You talk with your houseguests over breakfast, Valeria is confident in her homework, and Laura seems to be grasping the Correlation coefficient better now

You put on a fresh cape, and make your way to the garage. Stepping inside the familiar VTOL, you make the short hop to Manchester, Great Britain, the site of your foundry, and await Magneto's arrival

Shortly enough, a car pulls up outside. Magneto enters alone.

"Ah, Doom! I trust my list is satisfactory?"
>>
>>24787612
yes,I did have some Ideas I want to run by you, I was thinking of creating an artificial/jump start the martian magnetosphere, (outline a few ideas, this guy is not only powerful with magnetic manipulation but creates dozens of magnetic based technology )
>>
>>24787612
Do we know what Magneto wants us to call him, by the way? Is he going by Max, Eric, Magnus?
>>
>>24787711
"Interesting, we would appear to think alike. I have been looking into this myself, actually. After all, the planet may not be able to sustain an atmosphere otherwise. I was working on some devices that may work, though I obviously cannot guarantee anything. I brought some with me, if you'd like to take a look?

>>24787804
Max, I believe, sir
>>
>>24787837
Inspect them and give him DOOM's hallowed opinion. Perhaps ask for blueprints, that you might improve them.
>>
>>24787612
"Magneto. While Doom has no qualms about most of the people on your list, there remain a few issues. Some of these men are listed terrorists. And Doom doubts that many mutants could survive with the Blob and Toad with them in enclosed spaces."

"Other than that, we are fine. Obviously, terraforming is good. Show Doom this technology so he may begin to restore Mars. And one last thing. Doom will not have a rogue mutant melting down the entire colony. Make sure there are teachers in place."
>>
>>24787837
"Excellent. If you would be so kind as to display them? I will see if they can be mass produced or scaled up to suit our needs."
>>
>>24787837
we should also ask him about he list and be calm but clear that we don't want Him setting up a new aggressive mutant kingdom on Mars. Also our plan for a proper school should be broached and the position oh headmaster offered.
>>
>>24787837
Incorporate some of that bitching magnet tech into the suit. Some shitty hero tries to be frontin' and we just crush the walls on them, then get our cyborg to clean that shit up.
Perfect.
>>
>>24787891
>. Some of these men are listed terrorists
as are we we should only ask for Max's word as to there sincerity. they trust and listen to him and he is a man of his word.

>And Doom doubts that many mutants could survive with the Blob and Toad with them in enclosed spaces."
we need more tact to express this hesitation that is not a refusal.
>>
>>24787971
agree
>>
>>24787971
Why not end it with something like "But you no doubt know these men better than Doom does. You may take them."
>>
>>24787891
>>24787908
>>24787917
Ah yes, The blob. I must admit, It's difficult to spend any amount of time near him, though I felt it would be best if I were to have my eye on him, rather than him running loose on earth. I understand your hesitation, they aren't exactly the delicate types. If I were to bring them, would it be possible to add additional guards?

He hands you a sheaf of papers. His main design appears to have many bombs at critical locations designed to remagnetise areas, which if timed correctly could reignite the whole core. This may take a long time, however

>>24787937
Of course, sir. If I could make a request, May I have heavier lifting apparatus? I fear walls may be out of my current strength range
>>
>>24788080

Time is something we do not lack! DOOM demands that this undertaking spare no expense, cuts no corners as it is to be the Standard for future colonial development!
>>
>>24788080
why bombs? just use portals to dump a small chunk of the sun when and wear we need it, hell it will probable be more accurate, quicker, and cheaper.
>>
>>24788080
Doom permits the upgrades.
Also, talk to Magnus about using his tech in guards. Robot guards with Magnetism would make them safe as shit.
If he does give us tech, make a Doom Armour with added magnetism.
>>
>>24788164
You can't just grab a chunk of the sun. It's hot gas
>>
>>24788164
What are you even on.
The sun isn't solid. It's a ball of constantly exploding gas.
It is constant explosion, other than the core.
And the core is so fucking hot it'd do all sorts of deadly shit to mars.
Even if we could remove a part of the core without fucking up the sun, the ship, or mars, a tiny miscalculation would destroy Mars.
No, bombs might work.
>>
Rolled 9

>>24788080
Eh its a long term project if we can Ignite mars core it will be worth it.

"Eric My guards are at your disposal however I will not condone or support your colony if your name is so much as mentioned In the vicinity of terrorist activity's this Colony is a new start for Humana and mutants alike and I would hate to see blood spilt on mankinds first colony so soon if at all"
>>
>>24788228

Though that begs the question, Are DoomDoors sun proof?

cause if so, we have a readily available WMD...
>>
>>24788284
No.
We have a suicide option.
It's not a WMD
You'd fuck up so much of the world.
>>
>>24788149
>>24788207
"So, everything is fine? You agree with this list?
Provide me with their schematics, and maybe someone to run me through them a bit, and I'll do my best. Of course, I'll understand you most likely wouldn't want a schematic of your armour getting into anyone's hands, but Ill see if I can do something for you.
Oh, and I believe you had a run in with Logan. How did that transpire?

GENTLEDOOMS I PRESENT GALAXY: DOOM 24709
>>
>>24788345
"A simple misunderstanding. Richards has been spreading slanderous rumors about me. He has made... close allies, of Xavier and his students. Xavier trusts Richards judgement, for some reason I cannot fathom, and had doubts as to my sincerity and and reasoning behind the colony. He sent Summers, Logan, and Laura to infiltrate my home and abscond with the blueprints for the colony, as well as almost all my other files. Why he would send a howitzer and two ill-tempered chainsaws to do the work of a thief is beyond me, It's not like LeBeau is particularly busy. Needless to say, my technology easily detected them. I rendered them unconscious. When they awoke, I talked to them calmly, rationally, using mostly single-syllable words, and explained how utterly disappointed I was in them and their instructor. I released each of them after they apologized personally, though I took detailed medical scans and intend to do what I can to repair the damages to Summers' nerves and Laura's mind. Logan.... Even if I had a Cosmic Cube, I doubt I could fix damage as severe as his, but repairing Laura's psyche may yield clues to unlocking Logan's issues. Richards and Xavier have been sentenced to Community Service under Latverian Law. They will be repairing the damage they've done and assisting me in healing the poor children they so callously used."
>>
Rolled 45

Should we tell magneto about illuminate?
>>
>>24788345
"Ah, Logan. He, Summers, and Laura were ordered by Xavier to infiltrate my castle and abscond with my database.
"Apparently Richards had convinced Xavier that I wasn't trustworthy, and had them try to steal my files. They were no match for the security systems of DOOM, though its not difficult to detect mutants meant for causing huge amounts of collateral damage. Doom does not understand why didn't simply have an expert such as LeBeau do it.
"But I digress. They apologized, and Doom forgave them their trespass. Laura is now a guest of Doom and is attending school in Latveria. "
>>
>>24788345
One thing: While my Doom Bots are more than capable of serving as a standing army, militia, and police force, I understand that Mutants as a whole have had very bad experiences with autonomous robots given police authority over them. I do not wish my Doombots, and my likeness, to be equated with the Sentinel disaster. Therefore, I want to discuss the formation of a mutant police force for the colony. I don't expect too much crime, given the somewhat luxurious standard of living Latverian culture and resources will be providing your people, but personal arguments may need to be defused by authority. I suggest you sit down with Xavier, Bishop, and anyone you know of with Law Enforcement experience, and work out a training program to deputize part of the population. I will begin production of a lesser form of my armor and nonlethal weapons for use in civil service. Discipline in the police force should be the highest priority. I do not wish Mars to become a new 'wild west' where vigilante justice holds sway. For every two-man team of deputies you field, I will provide a single Servo-Guard robot to assist them. They are ideal for bomb disposal, or any other service requiring expendable individuals.
>>
>>24788596
No, that would breach the trust of Namor and Black Panther.
We may not care about the opinion of Richards, and we may look down on Stark, but we don't have anything against Namor, Black Panther, Strange, or Xavier ( now that he has apologized).
>>
Make sure we mention our interrogation tactics.
>>
>>24788732
Or Black Bolt. He's in there too, and remember, we want to open cultural dialogues between his people and the mutants, since the mutants will be functionally identical to his people within a generation or two. They have an ancient culture that's used to adapting to outrageous powers and individuals of unique capability, they can serve as a blueprint for future mutant societies. And we'd be re-unifying two branches of the human genome, bringing together distant cousins to meet and share information like proper neighbors. No hiding their powers, no code names and secrecy. The Human Family made whole.
>>
>>24788539
"An interesting situation indeed. Have you considered the idea that perhaps their capture was part of their plan? Both Logan and laura are... Durable, to say the least. Scott is a smart man, though I don't think that would be part of it. Anyway, just a theory.
Now Richards and Xavier picking up refuse beneath a Motorway is a site I wish to see. Do tell me if they actually show up
>>24788715
That may be a concern. Most of the mutants on the list have mostly been able to spare the wrath of the sentinels, but your personal likenesses may be lifelike enough to pass. I'll run it by them, however. I too like to think that there will be little crime, but it is always better to be safe than sorry, as they always say.

DOOM has nothing that needs hiding regarding the Mars Colony! It is a perfectly viable, safe and Good Natured venture with the sole purpose of the Betterment of All! Their rampant paranoia is a testimony of their reluctance to Embrace the New Era and Change!
>>
>>24788822
Richards will be completing the experiments that Logan destroyed and replacing the tissue samples that were contaminated. Xavier will be assisting me in analyzing Laura's mind and isolating the damaged or under-developed portions so we may foster her growth as a person. As to them intending to be caught, I again cannot fathom why. They were not tortured, aside from enduring an interview with Deadpool, so they cannot play for sympathy. They were apprehended as foreign nationals on sovereign soil, so as far as the UN is concerned I could legally execute them for espionage, not that I would. They failed to retrieve any information of value and revealed to me the extent to which Richards understands my technology. One does not deliberately fail a plan unless there is something to gain, and they have gained nothing from it. Richards has some of my notes on curing alzheimers, something he should have been working on decades ago, and some other biological trivialities. Xavier has lost a portion of access to Laura. The only purpose their mission could serve now is if they attempt to use Laura to spy on me. And she is much too busy attending high school to do so.

They have lost respect, prestige, and the trust of their allies and gained nothing from it. I have gained the same, to an extent, along with some useful secrets an inebriated Logan divulged in a fit of frustration.
>>
>>24789040

Agreed. If anyone expresses doubt (Anyone significant enough to care about, like a member of the Avengers or something, not random dudes off the street) they're welcome to take a Doom Portal to Mars and see for themselves. We're just hesitant to show the actual blueprints because it's proprietary technology and stored next to sensitive State secrets.

Lucia, it might be best we approach the media gently.

We can't request an audience on a show, we get them to invite us as a guest. Just spread a rumor about us doing something 'evil' we can easily prove false, and have an intern at the Daily show 'call us for a comment'.

Which is when we tell them we were going to be in New York the next week anyway, and would gladly take a few minutes to set the record straight.

>>24789131

>Logan told us secrets

Guys, what if Xaivier agreed to the plan as a roundabout way of getting us into the Illuminati? I mean, we did just give him MARS (kinda).

>>24789172

Well, we could do that too. But if Stark or Pym show up and say it's on the level, that would carry a bit of weight.

>>24789192

Why did we tell him anything?

"Nothing of any real concern, just gossip. Bit of an embarrassment on the good Professor's part though, I believe he was planning to invite me to his book club or something to talk about it privately. Not that it matters, as I have no intention of blackmailing him."
>>
>>24789192
I don't think Laura poses a threat to us. We could kick her ass. Supermetal>Metal, but Tech+Magic+Metal>Supermetal.
"Doom has discovered that a group has formed to protect the planet from the skrulls. My apologies. A group that has TRIED to protect the planet from the Skrulls while also making an enemy of Doom. That group doesn't even have the sense to grovel for Doom's help, and they wish to fight Doom. And yes, Charles is a part of it."

"However, DOOM informs you that the Skrull threat is not as weakened as SHIELD and SWORD would like people to believe. Latveria is already making preparations in that regard, and the Mars colonies are well defended since our most recent upgrades."

Also, we should make removing the berserker reaction to the scent a priority in Laura.

Should we start attacking SWORD SHIELD and the UN on public television or save it for the conference?
>>
>>24789583
Save it for the conference. Only talk about it if asked directly, and even then only in vague generalities. We don't want to start a panic or alert skrull infiltrators that we're on to them, and most of the public is ignorant as to the very existence of SHIELD and SWORD, so there's no point talking about them extensively. Save it for the UN committee that signs their budgets.
>>
>>24789543
Keep it secret. The air of mystery will draw in more viewers.

>>24789583
We will not attack SWORD or SHIELD except at the UN.

>>
>>24789583

>>
>>24789657
Air of mystery doesn't draw in viewers. They'll just assume it's another random politician.

Announce and publicize that DOOM is appearing on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart?

You'll break fucking records.

Too much. We need to be as diplomatic as possible here.

>>
>>24791280
Gets a shot in at REEEEED while still making us look like the bigger man. Remember, we want Reed to destroy his reputation for us.

I like this plan, but if we want to destroy his credibility, we may want to point out that he keeps stealing our ideas.

- if we're asked about our rivalry that is, it bad form to launch RIGHT into bashing our rivals -

This unit's memory is faulty, though - what HAS reed stolen and passed off for his own? I seem to recall we fixed the time machine credit theft thing, but surely there are others?
Surely, even, other people reed has stolen ideas from?
>>
>>24791676

OOC?

Reed hasn't really stolen anything. Sometimes he's done something like taken partial credit for something he just gave some funding to like he was there in the lab, but nobody really gives a fuck about that.

He's kinda arrogant, but unlike Doom he actually admits when he's in the wrong.

IC?

Every idea Reed's ever had was stolen from an idea of Doom's. Maybe he actually invented it first, but that's only because we were bust dealing with an uprising that he instigated because no REAL Latverian would ever do anything but agree with Doom.

Hell, he probably uses that stolen time machine to take our ideas from the future too, the smug prick.
>>
>>24791118
If pressed on the matter:
"I have no feud with three of them. Benjamin Grimm is a talented pilot, a financial genius, and an exceedingly honorable man. Susan Storm/Richards is a brilliant young lady who, if she applied herself, could be every bit the scientist Reed Richards claims to be, or easily manage a Fortune 500 company. Her younger brother Johnathan is a brave, cunning, and athletic young man who, if not for his powers, would dominate any sport he chose to apply himself too."

"The truth is, that my only feud is with Mister Richards himself. In college, I asked Richards to assist me in an experiment. He refused, setting into motion a change of events which resulted in my becoming severely disfigured, hence the mask. It's not a fashion statement. Not on purpose, anyway."

"He continues to antagonize me, even going so far as to break international laws and treaties. Within the last two months he has broken into my home, a literal castle, no less than three times. He has failed to file proper flight plans with the FAA and other organizations, flown his experimental aircraft over civilian populations while deviating from authorized flight paths. Not once, but dozens of times. As the ruler of a small but prosperous country, I'm very worried about things like that, and I'm sure Americans, New Yorkers in particular, can understand why."

"In an attempt to mend fences with him, I saved his wife's life during her pregnancy and even delivered her daughter while he was 'indisposed'. I am a doctor, after all. And all I asked is that I be named as Valeria's godfather, to care for her and the rest of their family should something unthinkable happen. Yet no more than a week ago, Richards destroyed a gift I had hand-crafted for his daughter in order to make a special computer plug-in to try to steal all my files. I've elected to let such crimes slide, given the harsh penalties for international espionage. To be honest, I think I've been exceptionally reasonable."
>>
>>24791676
Well, he did dismantle Mr. Robot, Valeria's bodyguard and use the parts to attack us. We'll definitely want to mention the cure for Alzheimer's that Richard is concocting for us since that little stunt destroyed our samples. The exact details of the attack will have to be left out (both to prevent upsetting our niece and inciting anti-mutant sentiment), but I wouldn't put it past Richards to steal all the credit for its creation. Especially if Doom is the only other person who knows about it. With the general public's awareness he'll be forced to finish the cure in our name. And if he doesn't? Poor Richards will be flooded with phone calls/emails from the family members of those suffering from Alzheimer's. And then we can release our own cure and make him even more disliked!

Our appearance on the talk show is also an excellent opportunity to flaunt our Battle CDC and our cure for pneumonia/other viruses/diseases.
>>
>>24791795

Dimensional portal tech. It was what Reed saw us working on in college, what he sabotaged when he disfigured us. Then a few years later he announces that he's built a portal to the 'negative zone' all by himself?

Don't forget that he's stolen Hank Pym's shrinking research too.

Doom's Force Field tech as well, for his security system. IIRC he even reverse engineered some of our early doom-bots into crude servitors, keeping the replicas of our mask on them so he can gloat over our likeness sweeping his floors and scrubbing his bathrooms. Again, stolen proprietary technology.

And I think he's stolen Pym's AI research as well as ours.
>>
>>24791965

Right, yeah. Reed saw a good idea and made his own, Doom just assumed that he did it on stolen research and stuff. I remember that now.

He also never claimed to have invented Pym Particles or anything, just that he knew more than Pym about them.

Pym, with testicles so mighty he needs Pym Particles to wear pants, BROKE INTO THE BAXTER BUILDING AND KICKED REEDS ASS BRAIN TO BRAIN.

... Sorry, that was a little off topic. Pym is just hands down my favorite Marvel character and it pisses me off that he's always the universes bitch.
>>
>>24791965
Hm, Richards and Pym have had their issues with each other.
Question: What is the status is Dr. Pym in our current timeline?
>>
>>24792213
Aye, it is a shame that Pym gets the short end of the stick so much, he is a brilliant scientist and he intentions are good.
>>
>>24792234

Ant-Man and Avenger.

Which is.... odd. I'm fairly certain that by the time Ultron was built he wasn't really THE Ant-Man anymore. And Ultron's a thing.....

Actually, I think we're in completely custom Canon territory here, because I've seen about thirty years of contradictions to the 'main' time line. Not that I'm complaining, we just clearly can't trust any written guide as a history book.
>>
>>24792279
>we're in completely custom Canon territory here
Or could it be in one of the alternate Earths that's close but has certain differences from the main Marvel universe?
>>
>>24792259

The part that always gets me is how everybody (including Pym) says that the time he hit his wife was 'the worst thing he's ever done'.

This bothers me not just because NOBODY gets as much shit as Pym over ANYTHING like he does that. Even though he wasn't exactly in control of himself completely at the moment. And everyone knows that.

Ultron is what bother me the most about that. I mean, I'm not trying to downplay domestic violence or anything.... but there's a hyper-intelligent time traveling robot hell bent on eradicating humanity in the most painful ways imaginable.

I think that kinda edges out the one slap. Just a little bit.

>>24792303

Well, yeah. I just mean that we can't take the comics themselves as a guideline since we're not operating in the 'main' continuity.
>>
>>24792363
Yeah, a LOT of other heroes have hit (or worse) a woman, wife, or girlfriend in a fist of insanity and/or anger, but it hardly comes up.
Hank does have a history of having his creations twist around on him though, which seems much more problematic.

>>24792303
>>24792279
Oh yeah, it's always been clear that this isn't 616.
This one is probably way over there, nestled in next to the various divinely seen predictions of the future and What If timelines where Doom is proven as the best hope for mankind. Even the Wakandian gods acknowledge the beneficence of Doom Worlds.
>>
>>24792363
>I think that kinda edges out the one slap. Just a little bit.
Especially considering he had already given the woman he slapped super strength, the power to fly away, energy blasts (all powers he didn't possess himself). In all seriousness, everyone's disappointment with Pym should be disappointment with Janet that she didn't kick his ass.

And yeah, he created a genocidal mecha-hitler-Bender. Compared to that, slapping someone who is more than capable of fighting back is kinda a non-issue.
>>
>>24792565
>And yeah, he created a genocidal mecha-hitler-Bender. Compared to that, slapping someone who is more than capable of fighting back is kinda a non-issue.
Aye. You know, the Avenger's cartoon did a decent job with Hank in that respect.

So, have we considered offering him a (well secured) lab facility? With a bit of oversight of his projects against critical failures, he can create some brilliant things, and Latveria could get credit (and first dibs) on the wonders he could bring to the world. And, besides helping redeem a man of science in the eyes of the global community, that is one more compatriot against Richard's insufferable arrogance within the scientific community.
>>
>>24792565
>everyone's disappointment with Pym should be disappointment with Janet that she didn't kick his ass.
I never thought about it before, but you're right. There was a serious power differential between the two. All Pym had was size changing and a relatively minor strength enhancer, but only while changed. Sure, he had gadgets and tech and brains, but not enough to make up a difference. And at the end of the day, powers or not, he's still a lab-jockey. Janet had strength, speed, power, flight, energy attacks, and a much more active lifestyle. She could have taken him. Easily. She could have, and should have, wiped the floor with him to the point that he'd have to invent a new type of toothpaste to get the flavor of pine-sol out of his mouth.

So why is everyone so uptight about one slap? If she had been a weak, frail little waif who couldn't stand up for herself, I could understand the outrage, but she was a bone-fide ass-kicker. Everyone should have just shrugged and told him he was lucky she still cared about him enough to leave his jawbone in one piece.
>>
Hey, guys, I was just thinikng, once we have access to orbital mining facilities and space-harbor, it may be a good idea to start a serious Helium-3 harvesting program around the orbits of the 4 gas giants. We could use this to help us fuel our new colonies and ships.

Also, it could give us an excuse to start to investigate the greatest arquelogical cache of celestial-like technology in our solar system: Titan.
Imagine how easier our glorious endeavors will became if we have Titanic technology at our grasp.
>>

The helium 3 will definitely be useful for Octavius' experiments.

And if the remaining Titans don't object, then we'll definitely see what we can learn there.
