>Yearling's Stat sheet:

20 Mental Power
10 Limit
1 Bonus
Combat Dice: 2 Attack, 2 Defense, 2 Positioning (1 base, 1 dragon age category)

Powers:

>Hypnosis
Hypnosis is somewhat of a misnomer: It forces the mind to turn on itself, sending it into a state of deep sleep. Only works on sentient beings.

>Telepathy
There are two uses of Telepathy. The first, which always costs 1 Mental Power, forms a link between user and nearby target until they move far enough away from one another, or are seperated by a dense material.
Further dedication of mental power allows for greater distance. Current base range is 20 meters ( 1 base, 1 bonus x 10 meters ) and maximum is 110 meters (10 limit, 1 bonus, x10 meters)

>Telekinesis
Allows exertion of the power of the mind to affect the physical. Additional mind power allows more power to be exerted, OR for greater range (specify in suggestion.) Base range is 11 meters, base power is 11 pounds of force.

Hoard is currently worth 43 gold.
Current lair is an attic, which has the benefit of a steady stream of easy to hunt food in mice and rats.

Quest starts in next post.

You awaken on a kitchen table, the weak human woman staring at you. Cloth is wrapped about your wound tightly, and you feel groggy, as if you have eaten a large meal. The shiny weapon is in her hand, and the young woman looks ready, if very, very nervous. The wound is not quite healed, and you know the weapon sunk in quite deeply. Your side aches, but at least, your belly is full. For the moment, the woman doesn't know you're awake. What do you do?
>>
>T&T dragon
Well this should be good.

Guess I should read through hatching quest first.

See ya in a bit.
>>
last week we learned that we are NOT special
there are hordes of dragons and our egg just didn't hatch in a proper place.
It looks like we can't just grow up and conquer the world.
>>
I'm going to need suggestions for actions.
>>
>>24765321

What happened last time?

"Well, Red Woman, what are you going to do with the blade? You have bound my wound, so you do not intend on slaying me. What is it you want?"

Things. Things and stuff.
>>
>>24765321
We want to be business-like and composed
we map out the future with the women and negotiate our relationship
she is an enemy of the crazy dragonkeepers now and needs protection
we are depended on her resources, work something out
>>
>>24765368
>>24765353

You spend a minimal amount of mental power for Telepathy, and speak with her.

"Well, Red Woman, what are you going to do with the blade? You have bound my wound, so you do not intend on slaying me. What is it you want?"

"I want the truth. Why are you here? What are you? Why can you talk without talking? And what the hell do I do with what's left of those guys, after I fed them to you?" she asks, shuddering.

Hrm.

(2 self masses eaten.)

This causes consideration. "I even boiled their leathers and fed them to you. I heard dragons eat after big wounds, so..." she continues on, mumbling. She can't meet your eyes, but something about her movements and her expression implies horror.
>>
>>24765423
Don't let your emotions overtake you, you have witnessed death and that instills dread but this is hardly the end of your life.
In fact, things are looking up, I am a dragon, a being of miracles, stick with me and you can get everything you ever wanted.
>>
>>24765423
"My egg was taken from the clutch and left here. I'm a dragon, obviously. I talk without talk because I can Walk. Oh, and throw the leftovers in the sewer. They won't be terribly out of place."
>>
>>24765423

Woah, sounds like little pet shop of horrors..

Claim that you're the only friend she can ever have, and so long as she feeds you, you'll never leave her.

She shall make us grow mighty and she will be our deareast and most loyal Servant.

If I can talk, and I can make things fall asleep, who's to say I can't do anything I want?

"My egg was taken from the clutch and left here. I'm a dragon, obviously. I talk without talk because I can Walk. Oh, and throw the leftovers in the sewer. They won't be terribly out of place."

"... You're a Walker?" she asks quietly, backing away. "You won't control my mind, or anything, will you? You said you would protect me."

"That I did. You have resources, I have power. That is the deal."

"More of those men will show up eventually." she says after some thought. "I'll be in danger because of this."

>>
>>24765751

Initiate little shop of horrors dragon...

We need to start speccing our mind powers for more control and the possibility of inflicting visions of eldritch horrors upon the minds of the weak and unworthy... That don't FEED ME.
>>
>>24765725
I think this is supposed to be a push to go adventurin' rather then stay holed up in this house.

Offer her a position as the most favored servant in our eventual kingdom / castle / other impressive thing.
>>
>>24765807

We will reward her as she caters to us,

She will be our thane, or perhaps housecarl.. Steward? She's definitely our steward.

We should have her seduce men while we whisper into their mind and prey upon their baser desires to make them do what we want..
>>
Yes ask her for her hidden desires, what does she want most of all. Money, men? One particular man?
>>
>>24765919
>She says she's after a particular man's heart
>We literally bring her his heart
>"What? Why are you freaking out? I have fulfilled your desires!"
>>
>>24765769
"And goblins could crawl out of the sewer and eat you. You are always in danger anyway, I offer protection, Is that such a bad deal?"

She frowns.

"Swear to me. Swear to me on your power that I will not come to harm." she says. It's clear yo you this is what she desires most - simple security. Mortals are so simple.
>>
>>24765945
mmm yes, once we get more powerful we should consider getting a more interesting plaything
one with hopes and dreams, someone to torment
>>
>>24765984

I concur.

But they need to be someone... special...

That feeds me.
>>
>>24765939

"Red Woman, you have my word that as long as I draw breath, no harm will come to you. Now, speak to me for a time about the town and the world. Hearing you speak pleases me."

"Red Woman, you have my word that as long as I draw breath, no harm will come to you. Now, speak to me for a time about the town and the world. Hearing you speak pleases me."

"... That's a big subject. Can you be more specific?" she asks, rising from her seat and working on cooking something. You try to move, but shifting makes your side shoot pain to your core.
>>
>>24766260

"No, I cannot. I know so little. You must tell me of whatever you know... Anything important perhaps?"
>>
>>24766260
"What is the first thing that comes to mind? Speak of whatever you wish."

We cannot admit ignorance. We are a dragon.
>>
>>24766501

"What is the first thing that comes to mind? Speak of whatever you wish."

She sighs, and starts talking.

The first thing she notes is that the city you are in is the largest in the known world. The king is benevolent to the people, and only goes to war when necessary. Taxes are high but the economy is good, so most people don't care because of the level of security and safety. Many nonhumans are welcome, but dragons, she notes, are not because of successive betrayals, power plays, and attempts at takeover.

In short, she finishes, if you're ever found out, or she's ever found to be harboring you, you both die.
>>
>>24766679
"Then I will endeavor to stay out of sight. What about you, then? What do you do with yourself?"
>>
We need her dependent on us, if only she had some personal problem that selfishly having a dragon solve for her makes her unable to rat us out because the crime would be traceable.
However, we can't just ask for it, that raises suspicion. Not everything can be sunshine and Rainbows in redhead-land make sure the conversation is steered on that topic, make sure she things she came up with the subject. Let her keep talking, where does her voice hint annoyance? When does she pause to think? Observe every detail.
>>
>>24766819
"Then I will endeavor to stay out of sight. What about you, then? What do you do with yourself?"

"Mostly I live off Father's pension. It was passed to me since he died defending the city - the money had to go somewhere." she says with a shrug. "I just try to keep myself busy..."

... Does she sound... bored? And the way the Goblin had spoken, he seemed to imply that Walkers were not tolerated well among normal folk. And yet... Interesting.
>>
>>24767231
Shiny's
>>
>>24767231
a thirst of adventure huh?
I guess she won't be so distraught once the curtain of lies that make up their utopia falls down and the benevolent king is not benevolent at all.
ask her about her everyday life, make sure she starts telling you about her boredom
>>
((I have to go for some time - lunch with family ))
>>
>>24767324
"Your everyday life sounds fairly routine."

"You've no idea." she replies, sliding the constructed pie into the oven. "Really now, I'm used to my father's life as a merchant before he went into the military arms business." she said, "And even when he did, at least there was some excitement."
>>
>>24768729
"Yet you've not chosen to take up the mercantile life yourself?"
>>
>>24768729
"What sort of excitement?"
Let's get her lost in fond memories.
>>
>>24769003

"What sort of excitement?" you ask. You're curious, really - a career in taking in money for worthless goods? It's a dream.

"Well, for one thing, he was primarily a dealer for men who needed weapons - a middleman between smithies and swordsmen, if you will. The men often questioned his knowledge. More than one offered to test his blade on my father's 'fat ass', but more often than not, learned that a weapons dealer learns to deal with such threats."
"He was skilled with a sword?"
"Crossbow."
"Yet you've not chosen to take up the mercantile life yourself?"
"No one would take me seriously, really, even with my name and starting funds. It's a shame."
>>
>>24769277
"And this is one case in which lending you my power would be impractical. But so be it, how do you feel about this evening's excitement?
>>
>>24769329
Seconded. We're trying to be sure that she'll stay with us, without looking like it's us who will serve her.

Maybe we should also ask more precisions about how the military forces are organized, if we want to try to help our brothers.
>>
>>24769277

Perfect, we'll help people take her seriously.

Aside, I think I missed this whole thing with "Walkers." What's going on here?
>>
>>24769550
>Aside, I think I missed this whole thing with "Walkers." What's going on here?
Walkers is the setting term for psions, as they are known to 'walk' through minds, their own and others'.

>>24769329
>>24769540
"Hrm. Do you know anything about the military?"

"Well, the primary forces live in and work in the city. Policing, guarding, things like that. The castle has a very small force to protect the king, but it's not nearly as strong as the one for the city at large."

Interesting. The king cares more for the city than himself?
>>
>>24769550
>we'll help people take her seriously.
Keeping in mind we can't show ourselves, how?
>>
>>24769609
>hypnosis
>telepathy
>>
>>24769609

>>24769627
Exactly
>>
>>24769627
Both need a line of sight.
>>
>>24769277
>"No one would take me seriously, really, even with my name and starting funds. It's a shame."

We have no reason to automatically know why they wouldn't take her seriously. Ask about it.
>>
>>24769846
"Why not?"

"A lady in the business? Unheard of. Though..." she thought for a moment. "I could ape papa's handwriting well enough..." she thinks for a moment. "How'd you like to be a merchant somewhere in Howanda?"

"Where?"

"Some far-off place. Commerce by correspondence. You pretend to be a merchant who is setting up a branch here in Central, and I am your assistant. Sound good?"
>>
>>24769931

Engaging Little shop of horrors mode.
>>
>>24769931
"I don't know how to write."
Time to learn valuable life skills. We'll probably have to hold the pen with TK because claws suck.
>>
>>24769931
"Certainly, if that would be viable."
>>
>>24765084
Cunning not listed in our char details
>>
>>24769606
>The castle has a very small force to protect the king, but it's not nearly as strong as the one for the city at large.
>The king cares more for the city than himself
We shouldn't assume that. After all, one would need much less people to defend a castle well, than to police an enormous city.

>>24769931
"Would that really work? And what of when people want to meet this absentee merchant in person?"
>>
>>24770019
>>24770021
Whoa whoa whoa! What? We're not some kind of trader dragon! We were trying to save others of our kind who are enslaved! Making money through trading is too long!
We will not trade with thoose pathetic beings as if they were our eqals.

Maybe help red lady because she helped us, and we'll stick to our word, but a dealer dradon...
>>
>>24770107
We're not becoming a merchant, from a practical standpoint we're employing her as our merchant. We don't have to actually do anything, besides maybe protect her which we're doing anyway. It's essentially an investment with no downside.
>>
>>24770107
Dragons love money, merchants make money...
However this is something for "one day in the future", when we can use walking to convince a human merchant visiting us we are male human.
So yea, I would like it very much, but at the moment there are some other pressing issues. Like the dragon kennel breakout and burglarizing a butcher shop.
>>
>>24770073

Little shop of horrors will happen... and our empire will expand as we gain power enough to absorb minds and memories from people.

With time we will dominate the markets.

Alternatively, >>24770165
We COULD do the walking to appear human... for a time...

Also the dragon god idea could still be a thing... we'd become god of merchants!
>>
>>24770165
Oh, then well yes why not.
>>
>>24770183
We could also just be god of money, which is more relevant to our actual interests.

>>24770165
Sounds like a "now" thing to me. It doesn't take much power to become a name on paper.
>>
>>24770165
>However this is something for "one day in the future", when we can use walking to convince a human merchant visiting us we are male human.
They're not visiting us. We're pretending to be in some place called Howanda and doing mail order.
>>
>>24770165
>>24770107
"Argh. Not presently, but later. I have some business to attend to."

"And where are you going like that?" she asks.

"My kin are in kennals!" you almost blast her with the anger of the thought, and she blinks.

"What?"

"Kennals! Being trained!"

"That... no. That's illegal."

"What?"

"Really! Dragons cannot be civilians and are barred from entry, but the Fremen pact, which states slavery is an abomination, would be clearly violated! Dragons are sentient, sapient beings, with wills and desires of their own."

This makes you sit up.
"The human king betraying human law?"

"Yes!"
>>
>>24770164
>>24770165
It occurs to me we could hire/intimidate/mindtweak a "body double" male human to be our "face" for her and pretend our dragon form to be an imported "trained guard dragon" who is "owned" by the merchant company in a pinch.

>>24770223
Not most of the time, but at some point someone will. If we are always away then she could do that on her own... Actually what DOES she actually need us to do?
>>
>>24770255
>That's illegal.
Well that changes things then... Maybe she meant we pretend to be a dragon merchant from across the sea?

oh hey, does that means the two men were secret agents involved in a government cover up!
>>
>>24770255
It occurs to me, we also don't know how come the home-smashers knew about or power. We should remember that we may not be able to trust everything that walker says - he may tell us that walkers always stand up for each other, but those words serve him. At any rate, we can't free all those dragons until we're stronger anyway. We can begin this endeavor now.

>>24770258
Dragons are still banned from this country, bro.

>Not most of the time, but at some point someone will.
Not necessarily, or not any time soon.
>If we are always away then she could do that on her own...
Who says she couldn't have?
>Actually what DOES she actually need us to do?
We should definitely ask this.
>>
>>24770255
Weeeeelllllll. If the goblin did not lie to us (and maybe he tried to manipulate us in some way), THAT could help a lot... Maybe using suggestion to make humans want to snoop there.
Oh wait. We did not take suggestion.
Soooo...
Could we try to use telepathy to make people think we're some kind of intuition?
>>
>>24770329
>At any rate, we can't free all those dragons until we're stronger anyway.

We do not have to be strong. Our weapons are not claws or breath, it's our mind. Rumor is our ally, and here even law is with us. We don't need to show up.
>>
>>24770330
No, telepathy is clearly our own voice and external.

>>24770329
He could be leading us to a trap... then again, he could be telling the truth and have been the one who saved us...

>We should definitely ask this.
Yes, ask her please. "What would our role be in that merchant business you propose? Could you not simply forge letters from a far away human male manager?"

>>24770400
Rumor is not going to raid a military base to find if the king has ordered his army to do something illegal.
>>
>>24770400
Yeah, our mind. We can't free all those dragons until our mind is stronger. Although we've already realized the merits of strong hide and sharp claws, which we now lack.
>>
>>24770255
Seems like we need some answers, like why our egg was smuggled into this particular house. Is there something about red lady? Ask her if there's anything unusual about her.
Then we should go talk more with that Walker goblin
>>
>>24770432
>>24770434
Speaking of, an older walker like that goblin could have probably mindraped us.
>>
>>24770432
>Rumor is not going to raid a military base to find if the king has ordered his army to do something illegal.
Indeed. But we could try to sneak around, find what exactly is going on, and try to make information come to the right minds.
Doing this, we'll probably understand better how human mind works, and then have more ability to fuck with it. (and have more powers!)
(I'm not saying that this will be enough, but it will help and we'll become stronger during that.)

The hard part is that we're probably not good at sneaking.
>>
>>24770471
Seconded for the red lady part.
But I think we should stay away from the goblin for some time. As MrTT said, maybe the goblin is playing with us (kind of remind me of Bioshock 1...).
>>
>>24770524
>The hard part is that we're probably not good at sneaking.
Perhaps if we go down the scale upgrade tree we'll be able to make them shimmer into invisibility.

>>24770560
>I think we should stay away from the goblin for some time
Second. He has the power of mindrape and we don't know his agenda.
>>
>>24770582
The problem is he knows where we live so even if we try and stay away he can come to us.
>>
>>24770582
Last time we did not have the choice to take improvment on scales. But maybe next time... Would be nice! (and overpowered)

BTW, how large will we grow?
>>
>>24770582
We could learn magic and become invisible that way, if walking can't suffice.

>>24770611
Perhaps, but at least he must then manufacture an agenda.
>>
Ask to Ysabell if she know anything more about the goblins (try to direct discussion toward something like "any rumor about a wizard goblin", try to see if she knows anything that would help us determining if the goblin Walker is an ally or an ennemy).
>>
>>24770637
We don't need improved scales, we can take kinetic shielding (or whatever its called) which probably would work better
>>
>>24770742
Kinetic shielding? How does that work? (from what I read in last thread, the only power with kinetic in it we had the option to take was to redirect forces)
>>
>>24770792
I am not sure how it works beyond:
>Kinetic Reduction/Redirection
>Allows you to manipulate kinetic forces currently in action, with a limit of Mind Power.
Sounds pretty self explanatory
>>
((Any specific, immediate actions?))
>>
>>24770860

I think it's probably a stepping-stone ability that makes it so we can get a real Kinetic shield later.
>>
>>24770865
Looks like the only one we've agreed on is to ask what exactly she needs us to do.
>>
>>24770899
Yes. Ask her what we would be doing as her merchant partner...

And then I propose we go burglarize a butcher shop and eat eat eat lots of meat.
>>
>>24770865
Ask Ysabell if she know anything more about the goblins, as I said in >>24770723.
Maybe also ask if there is no rumor about people getting sudenly mad, or having loss of memory of things like that.
(In order to see if the goblin walker over-use of his powers.)
>>
>>24770865
Ask the red lady if there's anything about her or the house that would make someone think that her attic would be a great place for a smuggled dragon egg to hatch unattended.
>>
>>24770921
Seconded. HUNGRY!
(however, can we move in our state?)
>>
>>24770959
Hey... why did we tell her to discard the remains of the 2 men in the sewers? We should eat them all up ourselves now.
>>
>>24770992
We even ate their leather armor. What's left probably isn't edible.
>>
>>24770921
>Ask her what we would be doing as her merchant partner...

"You'd actually be providing the identity for my 'boss'." she says, "And making decisions about what to buy. I will handle the sales." she nods. "But are you sure of that kennals thing?"

"Almost certain."

"... If you only had some evidence..."
>>
>>24771066
"What sort of evidence?"
>>
>>24771066
"What kind of evidence? And who would I turn this evidence to?"

Actually, if we find WHO to turn such evidence to we can contact them and ask them what kind of evidence is needed
>>
>>24771066
>"... If you only had some evidence..."
Which lead us again to the sneaking part.
Are we able to move?
Were did the goblin say they were kept again? Anyway, ask her about this place.
>>
What have we seen that might indicate tech level? Might there be cameras?
>>
>>24771119
>"What kind of evidence? And who would I turn this evidence to?"

"Forms of some kind, one of the dragons." she says. "It sounds like the sort of place with good security, and, uh... I'm not sure if you can move."

"I can move fine!" you protest, moving off the table, stumbling onto a chair, flipping onto the floor painfully.
>>
>>24771369
go back to your attic, sleep and eat rats until you CAN move.
>>
>>24771394
Yeeeah, that's the smart choice here.
>>
>>24771394
>>24771415
You lope upstairs with Ysabel's help, laying on your pile of coins.

"They found you already." says the Goblin as soon as Ysabel leaves. "They move quickly, the King's men."

You almost jump, or you would, were you not half-crippled.
>>
>>24771513
"Yes, and one of them was wearing cloth over his eyes to protect him from my powers; how could they know?"
>>
>>24771513
"How?"
>>
>>24771513
Ask him how they could have found us.
>>
>>24771621
>>24771730
"How did they find me?"

"Walkers have a distinct signature - arcane energies can detect it with ease. I can mask mine, and those around me, but I cannot stay with you forever." the Goblin states.

"And how did they know to look?"

"I assume because they were trying everything. A lost dragon is an enourmous threat." he explains. "In fact, we should move you and your hoard as soon as possible."
>>
>>24771875
Tell him we will indeed move as soon as we're well enough to do so remotely safely, and ask him to teach us how to mask our presence. Also ask what of the human?
>>
>>24771875
Alright, we move our hoard, and come with. Learn to mask our mind. burgle a butcher shop already. and ask him for ideas what to do with our human (she did butcher two human corpses to feed us so she might be in trouble herself if they come again)
>>
>>24771875
or perhaps we should go on the offensive instead of defensive?
>>
>>24771875
"Can you teach me to mask my own signature? Meanwhile, I will need somewhere safe to stay, as will Ysabell; I have sworn to protect her."
>>
>>24772239
The offensive is for when you can win.
>>
>>24772358
You mean we can't set their HQ on fire at night?
>>
>>24772379
We can't breathe fire and we don't have any gas for more traditional arson.
>>
>>24772442
matches
>>
>>24772520
He's King of the largest city in the known world, his HQ is not going to be built out of straw.
>>
>>24772570
Especially since he keeps dragons in it apparently.

Who said anything about going after the king?
I want to go after the mage who they are using to locate us.
>>
>>24772618
He is probably also rich enough to have a house not made of straw. I base this on him being a mage and trusted with the secrets of the King of the largest city in the known world.
>>
>>24772353
"Can you teach me to mask my own signature? Meanwhile, I will need somewhere safe to stay, as will Ysabel; I have sworn to protect her."

"Ysabel will be safe. You are the target. If you would move..." he says. You rise from your hoard, and it rises, coins rising from the floor. "Let us go. You out the window, I will take the door." he states, as you carefully slip out to the sewer. It's a little painful, but you're sure it'll pass as you move to your sewer hideout. The gold rests there, with the goblin.
>>
>>24772646
>House of straw
house doesn't need to be straw to be set on fire.
>>
>>24772678
Great. Now start training to mask your mind
>>
>>24772726
With just a match? It pretty much does. But even if we find a way to make stone flammable he's a mage and he'll just put it out again.
>>

"I may be the target, but if they already know this house, they will not leave it alone merely because I am no longer in it."

We should insist she come with us. The danger won't end for her with our departure. Besides, a human face is always useful.
>>

I'm not sure she'll enjoy living in a tomb in the sewers. And it's pretty hard to run a merchant business without an address as well.
>>
>>24773587
Only temporary, until we find out how to mask our Walking signature and then find another place that our enemies don't know about.

"Fine. Understood."

You lay your head down, relaxing as the Goblin speaks.

"The Walk is a path, a line, with branches. An infinite number of branches, arcing out, to other minds and paths." he says. "Imagine this. Imagine the thousands of paths, millions, laid out before you. Imagine the stones, blocking some, the walls, blocking others. Imagine... The Walk."

And there it is, in your mind. A thousand different paths, a million different roads. And you stand at the center - or you think it is the center. You're a dragon, where else would you stand. Goblin's words die on the wind. You are alone.

Alone in The Walk.
>>

The world SHIFTS.

You stand, suddenly, before a great marble castle. The walls are high, crested with dragons. A balcony rests at the top, and you look to it, as if drawn.

A woman stands there. She is like a dragon, even human. Her stance, her face, her eyes... She OWNS this place, the castle her hoard, the foggy, quiet servants, her peons. A shadow stands beside her, crowned, with sad, broken eyes, and sagging skin. Her dress is of gold and jewels, but the shade's is rags that were once purple and thick.

She hasn't noticed you.

The world SHIFTS.

And now you stand before another dragon. No, not one. Many - but so close together, so young, they are as one. Like tiny shades, but your body is real. They are frail, you are strong. Something about this place is different - in the Walk, it feels as though your power is as simple as breath... And those who cannot Walk, are as shades, playthings of the Walkers.

Are these the young dragons, or another clutch, elsewhere, you wonder. Things are so strange in the Walk.

Action choice.
>>

Can we get an idea of what they're thinking or where they are from here?
>>
>>24776126
This. If we can't we can try reaching out and talking?
>>
>>24776126
>what they're thinking

You focus, staring into the shade. Doesn't hurt to try. Your power comes easily here, and you can see their minds as easily as another might read a book - if the book turned it's own pages. Fear. Fear and hunger, fear and pain, the pain of rippling energy, tensing muscle. Tearing skin and plucking scales, you groan in sympathy.

>where they are from here?
"Here" is a non-thin in the Walk, as far as you know, but you can see they are in small, steel cages, crusted with blood and leavings.

>>24776198
>reaching out and talking?

You look to them, and reach out.
"Brothers?"
"whothere? Whatthere? Dragon? Human? Hatehumankillhumanripripripeateateathumanclawandtoothandwing"

>>24776286
"I am not caged, and I will help. Where are you? How can I find you?"
>>
>>24776402
This basically sums it up. We should convey that not all humans are bad, but no point in getting into that now.
>>
>>24776402
>"I am not caged, and I will help. Where are you? How can I find you?"

"Cages! Cagedcages! Stone, stone, big big humancave! Lightfires!"

Argh. Underfed, understimulated (except to anger, it seems) dragons - the retards of your kind.
>>
>>24776715
I was thinking that too, but yeah, I don't think we can talk to them about that right now.

>>24776841
"Can any of you Walk through minds as I do? If so, use that power as strongly as you can, and I can use that to find you."

Then get the goblin to help us pinpoint them that way.
>>
>>24777221
Dude they can barely think they're not going to be able to Walk.
>>
>>24776286
Can we send more than just thoughts to them? Can we send emotions? They could use a little hope, and perhaps a few images of Ysabell helping us heal.

>Telekinesis
>Allows exertion of the power of the mind to affect the physical. Additional mind power allows more power to be exerted, OR for greater range (specify in suggestion.) Base range is 11 meters, base power is 11 pounds of force.

How big and how small is the area we could extend the force over? Does it take time to reach 11 pounds of force or does it arrive instantly?

For example. A nose could easily take 11 pounds if it were applied carefully. If it arrives fast though it would easily break.

>How big and how small is the area we could extend the force over?
The size of your palm.
>Does it take time to reach 11 pounds of force or does it arrive instantly?
Arrives instantly, however, since it has no mass, it does not 'impact'. You can cause an impact, but it will not be incredibly hard.

>>24786361
You get the feeling, with even the slightest amount of effort, you could push 'in'. However, it might not be reversable.

>>24786377
You cannot. Physical distances in the Walk are meaningless.

You feel a beacon behind you.
>>
>>24786459
Beacon? Maybe the goblin is trying to follow us? Or maybe the woman from the castle? Anyway, staying here is probably a bad idea.
I don't know how the Walk works. Is it possible to hide?
>>
>>24786459
A beacon? What sort of beacon.
>>
>>24786511
>I don't know how the Walk works.
To be frank, your information is highly limited.

>Maybe the goblin is trying to follow us?
Another Walker approaches, like a giant. He appears human, at first, but he crouches close. "It seems bringing a young Dragon into the Walk was asking for trouble." he says.
>>
>>24786788
Ask if he is a goblin.
>>
>>24786459
Ah seems i was just unaware that pounds could be used as a force measurement. I am used to metric system myself. Please forgive my ignorance.

>>24786788
Try to become shift form so we are bigger and resemble the other Walker.
>>
>>24786788
"Are you Jusaiso? Anyway, have you means to know where this place is in the material world?"
While saying this, we try to ready ourself to go back to our body quickly.
>>
>>24786842
Do not shift form, it would denote fear. Instead, do our best to look him from above, even if we are smaller.
>>
>>24786968
(by looking from above, I meant looking with disdain, not actually over-up our chin)
>>
>>24786943
"Are you Jusaiso? Anyway, have you means to know where this place is in the material world?"

"No, that phrase is meaningless." he says. "The Walk is a different realm, one for minds, one for... us. Its relation to the realm of the physical is... limited, at best." he continues. "I sent you here to teach you, to show you where we truly step." he said. "What do you think?"
>>

>>
>>24787208
"For the time being, I agree to learn what you have to teach. Would you prove yourself useful, you'll be rewarded at the proper time."
He chuckles.
"Once a dragon, always a dragon." he says. "The method is simple, truly. The world is this massive Walk, to us, and a small part of us is always here. That connection is what the arcanists see - and so we make that smaller. Like so." he says, shrinking before you. "Doable even in the physical realm, but learned better here."
>>
>>24787282
Well dragons are masters of everything. When it comes to something like this it should be a cakewalk.

Mentally command yourself to shrink to a size SMALLER than him! No one disobeys you, a dragon. Not even yourself.
>>
>>24787282
Try to imitate him.
"I saw others dragons here, but they were obviously non-Walkers. Is it possible for someone who was not born Walker to become it? Is it possible to bring by force someone there? Would it have any use?"
>>
wait, I want to know about the retard dragons
if we don't feed properly, do we become like them?
>>
>>24787398
>Try to imitate him.

You proudly shrink yourself into miniature, about the size of a penny. proud of this accomplishment, you smile.

"Very good. Be aware that your powers will be of limited use in this state, even here. Now, shall we go back?"
>>
>>24787683
One question though. Why were those dragons so retarded?
>>
>>24787706
That + "Ok for going back, but couldn't I train here?".
>>
>>24787706
It's because they're malnourished and raised in cages. See
>>24776841
>>
>>24787936
Dragons grow the more we eat. (which is why we should go to a butchery/meatpackers already). Those dragons are malnourished, also kept in total isolation in cages where they can't explore and learn.
>>
>>24787748
"You already have learned, and spending too long here would bring harm to your physical tether. We return." he says. "Simply... Wake up."

You do so, starting on your pile of coins.

"Now then. Preparations." he said. "The kennals are in the centre of the city - not far by sewer. I can distract guards for you, but not for long."
>>
>>24765084
How long can we hold telekinesis for?
>>
>>24788082
Well, if he can bring us to our brothers, we can trust him for now. If he wanted to harm us, he could have done it while we were asleep (or even now). (however, maybe he just want us to free our brothers so he can enslave them himself. Anyway, we need his help to free them, once it is done we'll improvize.)
Let's follow him, and hear what he has to say on how exactly he thinks we'll free them.
>>
>>24788082
What do I do while they're distracted?
>>
What about the legality angle? Any chance we can get someone to help us due to the whole issue with dragon slavery being illegal?
>>
>>24788509
We need proof.

Might be good to figure out how the government works since apparently the king can't break his own laws.
There might be some loophole though since Dragons are banned.
>>
>>24788533
And Jusaiso would know more about all those hings then us.
>>
>>24788432
Seconding this. What do we do while the goblin distracts the guards?
>>
>>24788432
>What do I do while they're distracted?

"You must enter the Kennals, and free the dragons. Either... guide them out safely, or let nature take its course. It is up to you."
>>
>>24788986
>let nature take its course
Whoa dude they're a little young.
>>
>>24788986
"We have nowhere to take them safely. Do you have anywhere in mind?"

OOC, But if we lead them into the streets where everyone can see them, we might start a riot. At the very least, we'd create the evidence we need. I don't know if we want to be that cold to our own kin, though.
>>
>>24788986
How do we free them? The cages are kind of designed to be dragon-resistant. I guess we could try and TK the locks open. Then if there's more than 20 doors or anything else comes up we're screwed.
>>
>>24789043
We could take them into the sewers. They're small enough.

>>24789044
Someone has to have a key.
>>
>>24789116
Okay, so we take them into the sewers. Now all we have to do is find a key. Or hope the cages are just built to be easily opened from the outside.
>>
(( Archiving and ending this thread here - will continue next saturday. Apologies for the slow pace, things were not ideal this weekend.))
>>
>>24789450
Yeah, I figured something was up. No worries, that's how it goes sometimes.
>>
>>24788986
I think he is referring to letting them ran rampant around the setting until being put down...
Or maybe dragons are naturally territorial and we will all fight each other to the death with a garnish of cannibalism
>>
>"Once a dragon, always a dragon."
Be offended you are being stereotyped.
Realized this is because you are acting like the stereotype.
Strive to differentiate yourself from the stereotype.
Part of this means to stop being verbally abusive of this nice guy who saved us from a fate worse then death and has been protecting and teaching us.
>>
>>24794071
Dragons are the greatest thing there is. Therefore being called a dragon is an amazing compliment. Therefore we shall not kill the puny goblin just yet. There is nothing to be offended about.
