Klaus has tons of questions, most of which Minerva just can't answer for security reasons. The boy however also has intresting ideas about elemental fusion. A radio-pile or reactive-bomb both use the principle of elemental fission, where elemental particles are split, releasing the contained energies.
Klaus however thinks the reverse should also be possible, and that an even greater amount of energy would be released.

At first Minerva thinks this is silly and disapproves of the boy's idea of making an even larger bomb "why on earth would you need MORE than 10 thousand tonnes of conventional explosive equivalent!" but halfway through she seems to realize something and becomes lost in thought, as if she had just got an idea. Klaus doesn't realize this and just keeps talking.
