Inform Tyrel Hagen of the strength of the pirates when we last saw them, 3 Cruisers and 7 'smaller vessels', tell him that they're might be more ships in preparation for an attack. Ask him how long it would take him to muster a fleet large enough to comfortably engage the enemy fleet and station defences whilst we space marines invade the station.

Message Regon:
>Hello my friend, I am messaging you in the hope that you may assist Admiral Hagen and I in assaulting Tartarus station, as it has exhibited hostilities towards us and must be pacified. There are many technologies on board the station which I am sure you would find interesting, as well as raw materials and spacecraft you could recover to make the endeavour worthwhile. Thank you for your time. - Chapter Master of the Ghosts of Retribution.

In general Shadow Guard are one of those few people who know about the existence of Void Squad(was that the name we agreed on? If not, roll d100 and suggest your name, lowest roll wins, I retain the right to pick whatever suits game atmosphere more), so it would make sense for them to train new marines if you wish to keep the secret safe.

>>24629028
What exactly interests you? Their interpersonal behaviour, combat tactics, intelligence tests or something else?

>>24628998
Klementhos is a great inventor and an Apothecary whom many Chapters could envy(seriously, he's probably the best officer you have atm, rivaled only by Geron and Brethorius). He is not a very good teacher however, as his field is more related to theoretical studies.

What do you do next?

Also, let me remind you that you were planning an assault on Tartarus.
>>
>>24629104
I believe that Geron would be a good candidate for teaching them, as well as Tempestos.
However, to keep them secret I think we should just limit it to Geron and the Shadow Guard.
>>
>>24629104
Interpersonal behaviour. Honestly, sectioning them off like this is probably going to make it worse. It'll make them think they're different than the rest of the chapter rather than have them integrate.

Going from last thread they seemed somewhat happy.
Their victory over us probably made them happier too.

Thinking more long-term though. If you want to reduce the risk of this project actually going poorly, you have to make them loyal to the chapter or find a way to make them exceptionally and guaranteed loyal to us. Segregating them off alone won't help make them loyal to the chapter.

You receive a reply from Admiral Hagen:
>Dear Chapter Master, after your last soulword I already started planning assault on Tartarus station, however I am afraid, that because of current circumstances I will not be able to participate and none of the Imperial Navy vessels will offer you any support. I am not at liberty to get into details right now, but if you wish we could speak more when we meet in person. I received orders last week from the Lord Sector Governor's office that I am to be stationed in Forest World of Vitalitas for the next 36 months. If you wish, we can meet there. May your guns never jam! Yours, Tyrel.

Fabricator General Regon of Nestorium sends his reply:
>Chapter Master, your foes are our foes and I wish to support your mission with 95% of my cardio-implant! However I need to convince Forge Council that this is an effective strategical action, if you would provide me more details, I would have better chance of doing this.

Roll d100 for Regon to convince Council to support you.

Base check: 50

Geron is quite individualistic as a marine and prefers stealth over team assault approach that was so far shown as the trademark of the Void Squad. If he would train them, expect their tactics to change.

>>24629142
Indeed. So far they have been told that they are special and because of that for now they have to be kept separate from the Chapter. They know nothing of the reasons and trust that you'll tell them someday. However they have a relatively good idea about Chapter itself from books and what Klementhos told them.
>>24629161
Indeed. Regarding their combat capabilities - they spent last few years training almost exclusively underground, sometimes leaving under Shadow Guard supervision to train on the surface of Aspera Dominus in outer space, but none of them have been in a forest or desert in years, they barely remember how to fight in the nature.

Alright well.
I'm going to have to go with, Shadow Guard teach with Apothecary about normal things.
Geron is going to go through several sessions to try and help them see and spot things that they wouldn't normally. (Basically he's being stealthy, they have to find him before he takes an objective, with higher levels of exercises eventually ending with him actually wearing his Revenant armor, they win if they hit him once.)
As well as the reverse, they have to claim an Objective while he's guarding it, although the rules differ slightly, they don't lose with one hit, but if all of them are defeated at once, then he wins, but to win they need the objective and everyone together.

Okay so a rudimentary plan of action has been decided on:

STEP 1. Using a rogue trader (possibly d'anger, we'll see) the Revenants infiltrate the station under the guise of a simple resupply.

STEP 2. use afformentioned RT to call a captains meeting

STEP 3. Revenant's invade captains council chamber during meeting. Execute Daikan Alepros, and hold the other captins hostage

STEP 4. The chapter and the Admech board the station and go all Blood Ravens on anything that's not nailed down

We're still deciding on how we should leave the station, perhaps installing our own leader or making ourselves leader, it is to be decided.

Present this plan to our captains and Regon and see reactions and suggestions.

Actually I even managed to locate source of interception - astropath who was trying to do it is on Tachion Primaris. I believe that if I would really want to, I could even try to track him down, but it would require me getting close to him... Either way, someone is interested in what are we speaking about with Nestorium.

>>24630068
Argus and his men have shown exceptional results in their training. Geron thinks highly of them:
>They have unnaturally high perception. Even with my Revenant armour I had trouble avoiding them, they seem to have ability sense movement in close quarters even when they don't see or hear it. From 10 training sessions they managed to locate me in 4 and defeat me by hitting me in 2, that is a lot better than what many of our more mature and experienced brothers could do. Probably what they say is right - Pre-Heresy geneseed indeed is stronger.

Not different in a bad way, just different. I would expect them to be extremely efficient at any boarding actions and close quarters combat. If we'll combine this with our natural Raven Guard-inherited stealth, they'll make am excellent assassination/sabotage squad, or if we focus on their Iron Warriors heritage, they could become unstoppable terminators or space hulk sweepers.

It seems that Ork spores have grown a full Ork ecosystem in one of the Vardan mountain ranges. Captain Macedon arrived just in time to stop further growth of this new Ork tribe who called themselves Ha'd 'NIves by decimating them and scouring the area with promethium. Alright then unless people object we hire Gallagher to transport our shipping container to Tartarus where our contact (who doesn't exist) will get in touch with him. The shipping container itself has all sorts of counter-espionage gadgets on it from the Admech and "Do not Open" stickers. Tell Gallagher he is not to allow the Tartarus authorities to inspect the container, only deliver it to our contact. Give him some bullshit password or something. Meet Gallagher a short warp jump from the station for the transfer. While the cargo is being loaded the Revenants sneak on board and stay in stealth mode.

Best case Gallagher betrays us and the captains come to the container. Worst case he sits around twiddling his thumbs.

Inform Revenants that they have 48 hours (or some appropriate amount of time) to get into position and sabotage as much of the defense systems and be ready to execute the target as possible. At that time we are beginning our attack.

Finally, please remember that Revenant stealth suits have limited power supply for their invisibility. They'll have to hide somewhere in the ship and won't be able to just sit around the box for a few days, their field will depower sometime and they'll get spotted.

Tartarus is located within an asteroid belt, so have the fleet hide behind the asteroids until the revenant's signal.

I'd say our priorities are 2, 3, 1, 4.
Survival before we get our hands on the dosh.
>>
>>24631362
Target is Alepros.
Container is (tantalizingly) empty (or is it?).
All revenants
Defense systems are anything that would prevent ships from undocking such as mooring clamps, anything that could shoot at us, anything that raises a shield.

>>24631413
this order

Our fleet stays at the far edge of the system in stealth/low power mode waiting their signal.
>>
>>24631404
Legit, so it will be done.
>>24631397
This anon is correct. You'll have to either capture an astropath or fleet will have to hide in system. It is easier because of asteroid belt, but on the other hand it will be easier for pirates to ambush you, they know the area and you don't.
>>24631413
confirmed.

So, roll 2d10 wealth for the payment when you want to begin and please answer my other questions here >>24631362 Otherwise i'll act on my own judgement.

You see Revenants, lying as if dead under the metal floor grates in a ship, hiding right underneath crewmen walking above them. They seem to be unharmed and feeling well, there's no alarm and no one's searching for them. All nine of them are in one place, it means that no one is looking after the box, you are not sure why. However you know for sure that they still are in Gallaghers ship, which is close to Nova Premium in the warp. Where is it heading, you do not know.

You tried to show Synius your vision through the warp, however when two psykers try to meddle with warp looking for something that it doesn't want to show, warp sometimes decides to show what you are not exactly looking for.

Roll d10
1. Synius is possessed by a Daemon
2. Syniu's Navigators' eye is blinded
3-4. Synius suffers a mutation
5-7. Synius suffers bodily harm.
8-10. Synius suffers mental harm.

Suddenly, Synius is lifted up by the winds of warp into the air and his screaming form is changed in the most horrific ways by a gigantic figure that you see in the mists of the Immaterium - a giant birdman, whom you know to be Changer of Ways.

Dozen mortals who were around Synius' quarters are now rapidly turning into various mutated chaos spawns, but you quickly grant them Emperors' Mercy and turn to Synius, who is now lying on the floor. As you take a better look at his new form, he seems to have had his left side twisted, while the other seems to be still human. His left arm was turned into a dozen meaty tentacles, his skin on that side is now oily and greenish, while his face is now half-snout. You quickly throw a piece of cloth on his Navigators' Eye so that you wouldn't suffer it's terrible power, but you notice that skin around it is also twisted - who knows, how this terrible mutation will affect his powers... If you'll be able to keep him alive at all, after what happened to him. First man to break into the room is Librarian Trianon.
>Milord, I felt great disturbance here! What has happened?

What is your official story that will be told to marines and what will you do with Synius? Marines, if they will know of his corruption, will demand to grant him swift death, but if you want to keep him alive, you must try to convince Trianon to keep silent somehow. Also, killing a member of House Jaenar won't help your relations with them...

Well I guess we should remove his left arm and give him a bionic one, as well as a face-mask to cover up the half-snout, as well as hiding any other skin on the left-side left exposed.

Official story is that Synius has been damaged by a psykic backlash from his powers, his physical mutations have been taken care of and we'll have to wait for him to regain consciousness to see if there had been any mental mutation.

Any objections?

You gain three new mutations:
+ Joined Limbs - his limbs have extra joints that articulate differently to a normal human. No joints on tentacles appear.
+ Inhuman Visage (FEAR rating) - his face loses human features such as nose, years and lips. (halfsnout disappears)
+ GM's Extra Special that you'll find out only in a certain situation or when you speak to him.
