It turns out, Mister Radio has been arranging something with Ms Kenaway to use her satellites to stage a 3 way intercontinental conference call.
If she can get a second one up, it could last for a whole 30 minutes! And everyone will be able to attend from the comfort of there own homes, how novel.

With a budget of 38RP, we can improve the Mk4c with 24RP to 6/11.
We can then also spend 9RP to Invent the Advanced Guidance Module "Mustang" (underped advanced guidance modules count as Mass 3 during invention and development, but are actually Mass 0 when installed in a capsule).
Spend 4RP on Photovoltaic Power Cells to 3/7.
1RP to train Harker on Engineering.

The Suthlanders are focusing on practical uses of the satellites. I know we want to reach the moon ASAP, but maybe we should build something immediatly useful too.

It turns out, the computational staff have actually been working on something like that. They think it's possible to build an Automatic Computer that uses a series of vacuum tubes as switches. This machine would be able to do simple math and make decisions based on binary logic.

They just need funding to make it happen.

We're developing photovoltaic and radio-reactive power cells, which can be introduced to the civilian market after development.
Also, we can build a geo-recon satellite to take photos from orbit, but it requires developing Thrusters, either power source, Advanced Guidance Module, and 20 turns of photographing.

You don't have much time to look over the plans however, as you have to get ready for the interview. Miss Kenaway will be launching a second Reflector Balloon into orbit for this.

A hand crank would be redundant. The Pathfinder uses a combination of fuel cells and batteries. The Pilot will run out of air before the power runs out.

Ask Colonel Smith if the new computational device could be scaled up, to do ballistic and trajectory calculations. Could our computers then be shifted from manually doing the calculations, to feeding and programming this machine with data.
