Welcome back to the Harvest Moon Quest. If you were here last night, you know the score, but for those who are new I'll recap. All my posts are written in real time, I don't have anything predone. So you'll have to forgive me somewhat. Also, my wife is a huge bitch, so if I disappear for a few minutes, do not despair.

>You are Keith, a 20 year old whose parents both recently died.
>you left the City in search of a new life, with a rucksack and a small amount of coin
>you walked for over a week, and came to a crossroads
>first you went to Shady River, a slavic village led by a man named Gregor. You decided not to stay there, but not for any particular reason. You took some proffered food, and went to see what lay in the other direction.
>it became quickly clear the food was poisoned, but you showed godlike poison resistance, and now you can eat raw food with impunity
>you reached a town that had been burned to the ground some time in the not too distant past, found a diary and a stuffed bear, and continued along a much smaller path
>you reached another village, with fewer burn marks, and after a short misunderstanding you met Hamad, the leader of Bounty Valley. He and his autistic daughter Daliah told you about the village's past, and how the previous village had been burned to the ground by the slavic village
>you discovered the bear was Daliah's. She shut down, and you left with Hamad.
>you discussed operating a farm in New Bounty, and last we left, you were sleeping a well deserved rest in your one room shack on your new farm

Holy shit, more happened than I thought. Anyway, Roll Call. Report in and roll 2d10 to see the initial length and width of usable farmland, in meters. Best of the first five rolls gets it.

Well fuck.
>>
You awaken to the strong morning light in your eyes. You lay for a while yet, stretching your legs, enjoying the last few moments of your wandering life slipping away. You look around your new home, it doesn't take long. There's a bed, you're in it. There's a desk, with a smallish chair. The house itself is made mostly of wood, with a stone floor.

You can feel some warmth clawing into the air, a sure sign of spring this early in the morning.

~~

You step outside, and take a second look at the farm you suppose can now be called "yours". The land itself is quite expansive. Mostly flat grassy land, with some gentle hills. In the distance you can see part of the river that winds through town. There are some taller mountains further off, maybe two days walk you guess, though you can't be certain.

However the arable, tilled land available now is fairly small, maybe ten meters by ten. Enough for some small amount of crops, or maybe a tree.

You turn to look back at your house, to see if there are any tools you can use, but you come nose to nose with Daliah.

You freeze.

d100 for smoothness, go.

Uh oh boys.

You spend a solid minute stammering while frozen in place. You don't move back, and neither does she, oddly. Her dark black eyes glitter as she surveys your face. She has a clear complexion, and a surprisingly small pert nose considering her heritage is clearly either north african or something close to that.

"Good morning, Keith. Father was going to come see you today, but he's slept in. Again. So I came. Why aren't you farming yet? You should farm."

You take a moment to absorb what she's saying, and then take a deep breath.

"I uh, I don't know how to farm. I mean, I know you put seeds in the ground and stuff but I've never done it before and I come from the city so it's not really something I ever had exposure to and I just left on a whim to be someone which in hindsight was maybe not such a good idea."

Still, still not stepping away (damn her), Daliah remarks on your breath, and thinks for a minute.

"I think I have some books on farming, you can come with me and learn, or I can go get father, and he can teach you. Either way."

Okay, you decide to chat her up while you learn from her. When I ask for 2d100, the first number will be for curriculum, the second will be for social interaction. Keep in mind she'll probably be upset with you guys if you don't take your booklearnings seriously.

"I'll uh, go learn with you if that's okay Daliah"

She nods, and turns and begins to walk quickly towards town. You stand for a moment, then jog to catch up.

~~~~
You're sitting in Hamad's house, in Daliah's room, more specifically. It's a spartan space, which you suppose is odd for a girl, but noticeably the teddy bear is on her bed.
Daliah sits across a small table from you, with a small stack of books. She opens one and begins speaking in a flat, yet not unpleasant tone.
"Farming is the one thing that forms a society, and the one thing that allows higher societal functions. Without a solid farm, a community cannot function, but with a few good farms, an entire region may prosper."
She looks up from the book and stares at you.
"That means you have to work your very hardest every day, or else the entire village will suffer. There can be no excuse."
She looks back down to the book.
"In the simplest terms, farming is accomplished in four steps. Preparation, Plantation, Maintenance, and Harvest."
Daliah pauses.
"What do you think the first step entails, keith?"
2d100 guys.
As in, tilling the soil, and getting it ready to be planted.
>>
You smile at Daliah, trying to look at ease, yet interested.
"Well, like I said, I don't know much, but I'd guess you have to till the land before you can plant seeds there. I'm sure there's much more to it, so please, tell me everything you can, I want to be the best farmer this village has ever seen!"
An unreadable expression crosses Daliah's face, and she looks down quickly.
"P-preparation includes clearing the land, removing junk trees, stumps, rocks larger than your fist. Then you till the land to aerate it. You may add fertilizer at this point if you have any, it will improve your crop immensely."
"The next step is Planting. Different seeds need to be planted at different times, and different depths, and have different watering needs. You should ask Zerai about them when you buy them from him. Zerai sells seeds, by the way."
"Maintenance is the regular watering of crops. You can water by hand, or irrigate. Irrigation is expensive, and takes up a good deal of land, but will save you some time in the long run. I don't personally recommend it in your circumstance, Keith, as unless you plan on growing a lot of rice, it'll be more detrimental than useful. I don't like rice..."
She trails off, seemingly lost in thought.
2d100 again, get her going guys.
Some better rolls now.
You interject quickly, to keep her focused.
"I never liked rice, myself. I was thinking about maybe planting some simpler vegetables, or maybe wheat. I like bread. What's your favorite crop, Deliah?"
Again, she seems to freeze up a bit, and her cheeks darken a bit.
"Potatoes."
"Ahh, potatoes! I love potatoes!" You gush.
"Boil them, bake them, fry them, scalloped, mashed, any way at all. I'm actually pretty good at cooking with potatoes, I promise to give you the first of my crop if you teach me well."
You add what you think to be a winning smile, but it seems to serve only to fluster her further.
You gently prod the book, and prompt her to continue.
"Y-y-yes, finally, harvest. A simple thing, but each crop must be harvested before it goes bad, but it can be beneficial to let it hang from the vine for as long as possible, as it were, most crops taste better just before they spoil. It's a difficult call to make, but the more veteran farmer will produce better produce invariably."
Deliah closes the book, and opens the next one on the pile, but pauses. She meets your eyes with some difficulty, and speaks.
"Tell me about yourself, Keith. I know nothing about you, and yet you are poised to be very important to the village. I must know everything about you."
She becomes more serious as she speaks on, this will be a very important decision.
Might as well. Far as I know, we have no dark secrets.
>>
>>24467122
everything. There is nothing to be gained from secrets in what seems to be a close knit community.
also, Still think getting a watermill is a good idea. especially if we grow wheat.
In regards to division of the land, it should be subdivided into four sections. each section should have at least one season out of every four without anything growing on it to allow it to recover. Potatoes should be every 3rd or 4th rotation to re-nitrate the soil...
>>
>>24467122
>[ ] tell her everything, hold nothing back
May as well.
We don't have any dark secrets, after all.
>>
>>24467221
If we get some livestock somehow, we could grow clovers and turnips to help renitrate the soil faster.
>>
Telling her everything seems to be the best bet.
You start out with your younger life, how you liked playing with friends, how you did alright in school, but not exceptionally well. You tell her about how you like to listen to rain pitter patter on the roof while you lay in bed. You tell her about how you're bad with girls. You tell her about your food poisoning with the slavs, and you tell her about your fears for the future.
It takes some time, and she sits impassively the whole time. When you finish, she merely says "good".
"I needed to know you were real."
"Chop trees with an axe, drag large rocks away with ropes. Till with a hoe, plant seeds, water with a watering can, harvest by hand, mostly."
"Go buy some seeds, I've taught you enough for one day, I need to rest."
She ushers you out of her room, and closes the door. You don't like that, because it pushes you directly into Hamad. The man whose daughter has been entertaining you in her room for several hours.
"I've been listening boy, I hope you're not planning on sowing seeds in any fields that don't belong to you."
1d100 to calm Hamad's fatherly instincts.
"Sir, I respect your daughter like I respect you. She's helping me learn to farm, so I can be of use around here. That's all. Though, if I may be completely honest with you, her mother must have been some sort of divine being."
Hamad throws his head back and laughs loudly, eliciting a muffled "quiet, father" from behind the door at your back.
"Keith, my boy, I like you. You might be just what my daughter needs to normal herself out a bit. She likes you, I know. She never leaves the house, and yet today she went all the way out to your farm just to see you."
This elicits a much louder "Quiet, father!" from beyond the door.
>you smile inwardly. To know a girls heart so quickly is to win before you fight. Not to mention the black god of war likes you. You have no real way of knowing this, but any interactions taken with Hamad or Daliah are much, much easier than they might otherwise have been. In math terms, you get +25 to any rolls that involve them. In social terms, you may request either of them accompany you for the day, at their leisure, and they likely will.
Hamad takes you around the shoulders and walks with you to the shopping district.
"Where shall we go first my boy? Do you want a new outfit? Perhaps some farm tools? Anything else? I'm buying!"
Looks like you all want to do some shopping.
First, Hamad shows you to the tailor, to get some clothes that will let you fit in a little better.
The tailor, an older man, takes your measurements and shows you a row of manikins with similar outfits in different colours.
You pick the yellow suit at Hamad's suggestion, (Daliah's favorite colour, it turns out). Hamad pays for the outfit, and the two of you move on to the general store amiably.
You are greeted outside of the store by a young woman sweeping. She straightens and smiles at Hamad, and then you.
"You're a fresh face around here if I'm not mistaken. I'm very pleased to meet you, my name is Therse, I run the General Store with my mother, Thorse. If there is anything I can help you find, let me know."
You and Mount St. Mahogany move in to the store, and inspect tools as shown to you by Thorse, a stocky woman.
You can afford one of the following.
[ ] Pickaxe, good for breaking moderate size rocks, and also mining
[ ] Mattock, good for chopping down trees, but will take most of your strength available
[ ] Fishing pole, you'll have a fairly steady supply of raw meat, good for you, and or a dog or cat
What're you buying?
>>
>>24467744
[ ] Fishing pole, you'll have a fairly steady supply of raw meat, good for you, and or a dog or cat
>>
>>24467677
You may begin making liquors, though you must all realise a few things.
A: It'll take up half your farm. Proper indoor distilling, crops, etc.
B: The type of liquor you choose to make can affect your village in different ways. Beer will bring the town together at the public house more often. Wine will make women more...pliable. Hard spirits will lend a bit of chaos to the townsfolk, but that's not necessarily a good thing.
Let me know if you all want to get serious about making liquor, and what kind.
>>
>>24467744
>[ ] Fishing pole, you'll have a fairly steady supply of raw meat, good for you, and or a dog or cat
Off the three, seems it could give us the fastest turn around with (most likely) less effort
We can:
-Get needed meat for ourselves/pets
-Sell off fish for money if needed
>>
>>24467782
to be honest, DIY beer isnt that difficult, if you have the know-how, and the raw ingredients. wheat or barley can make basic alcohol if you have a little bit of yeast and fruit or cane sugar. itd require investment, but this is your quest, you decide
>>
>>24467827
>this is your quest
No, this is YOUR quest.
Ingredients will mostly need to be farmed, as there's only two villages in trading distance, and you're in one of them.
I'm not saying you can't make liquor, but you'll have to make it a priority "crop" if you do want to.
>>
>>24467744
oh yeah, and fishing pole, two if possible, so autism girl can help
>[ ] Fishing pole, you'll have a fairly steady supply of raw meat, good for you, and or a dog or cat
Gotta keep ourselves fed until the crops are ready.
Fishing Pole.
Ask Hamad about the Stone Mason and the Black Smith. These two will be vital to the expansion of our farm and the construction of new buildings...
by the way, how far from the river is the farm?
>>
>>24468012
Someone said Stone Mason.
WHO NEEDS A GARGOYLE?!
>>
You opt to go with the fishing pole, and pull out the silver pieces you bought back in the city. You count out the amount asked, and take the pole. You get a few extra hooks and some spare line as well.
>>
>>24468099
Fucking captcha ate my post. Hang on.
>>
>>24468106
>fishing pole provides you with an assumed 1 large fish per day. It is enough to sustain you, and a dog, but not much else. It is assumed you catch a fish each day, and you are not required to go fishing as an active action. Take 10 on it, as they say. You may go fishing with a special someone, if you wish, or if you just want a relaxing diversion.
You thank the pudgy Thorse and step out into the sun again, a wonderful feeling. Nothing can get you down today.
You ask Hamad if there are any pet shops around, and he seems quizzical.
"Pets? No, not really. Though there is a man who sells dogs. Not as pets, but as tools. I suppose if you're the pet type though there's no reason they can't be that, too. Shall we go see him?"
You nod assent, and walk for about an hour outside of the village.
~~~

You come to a smallish house, with several kennels outside of it, you hear varied and tumultuous barking. Hamad stays back at the road, feigning disinterest, though you suspect he's a bit afraid of dogs. Suppressing racist thoughts you knock on the door. An extremely old man opens the door swiftly, and peers at you closely. He sniffs you too, though you wish he hadn't. It's a warm day, and this village hasn't heard of old spice yet.
It doesn't seem to bother him though, as he extends his hand. "My name is Horthon, I am the dogmaster. I know why you're here. Come."

He leads you out to the field behind his house. He whistles a long note, low, then high. Three dogs come running.

"These are the young ones I can currently spare. Each of them are around a year old, They hunt for their own food mostly, though they'll like you better if you provide some for them, especially on rainy days and such. They're each different, and they have their own uses. Who'll it be?"

You decide the hound isn't quite up to snuff, after some debate, and take the Shepard.

Horthon says he'll deliver him and a small house to your farm later, and bids you farewell.

You and Hamad finally make your way back to town as the sun begins to drop lower in the sky, casting long shadows.

~~~~~
You reach town again just in time to buy some seeds. It's going to take the last of your money, but it's an investment, right?
You can afford up to two of the following things.
Each thing takes up half your field as it sits, you can take the same crop twice if you so desire.
[ ] Wheat, takes three seasons to grow, you'll double your money, eventually. It's a safe bet, and useful in breads and such. Fairly low maintenance as well.
[ ] Corn. You know what corn is. Three seasons to grow. Money triples your investment, but it's more susceptible to poor weather.
[ ] Potatoes. Takes one season to grow, doubles your money. Not much else to say about it.
[ ] Grapes. Everyone loves grapes. You'll get different money returns based on what state you sell the grapes in, be it fresh, dried, or fermented. A versatile crop, but fairly labour intensive.
[ ] Other. Popular request, will stat it properly as needed.
Guess I'll add potato for my second crop
>>
Rolled 37
It amuses and pleases me that the most contentious decision we've had thus far is over crops.
Here I am trying to spin an amusing tale, and you guys just wanna farm. I better adjust myself as we go along. Don't wanna blue ball my greenhorn farmers who just can't wait to penetrate virgin ground and plant their mighty seed.
>>
>>24468366
hmmm. seeing as though the land has been unattended for some time, i would be tempted to go for potatoes on both, However, potatoes are not something a novice farmer should tackle as if you don't properly remove their roots, any other crop you try to grow will be choked to death by the remnants of the potato plants...
Though, it will be a learning experience, so 1 potato and 1 wheat.
We may also want to consider Strawberries and Sugar Cane as they can be very popular. in the summer season.
>>
>>24468468
We have to stabilize our socioeconomic situation before we can delve into the grand tale of our destiny OP
>>
>>24468468
Broheim. Best thing you could do for us is get us a grid of what we've planted.
I mean, don't let us decide WHERE each thing goes... but you could simulate fertility and growth rates that way.
Shit could be so cash.
But yeah, like if we plant or irrigate, just make it auto, don't let us decide unless someone has an absolutely brilliant idea.
>>
>>24468468
I think the main reason the farming is such a 'hot topic' is that the farming is going to be the main factor in our available funds for any future venture, so we want to not only impress Dahlia and the villagers with our 'Mad Farming Skills', but also make a good profit from it. once we have agreed on the 'system' for the farming, Then we will move onto the social and intrigue of the quest.
I must confess that I MinMaxed the shit out of Harvest Moon on the GameCube...
>>
>>24468506
A wonderful life? Because the first one is broken as fuck when you find out that fruits processed through the seed maker makes tree seeds that are worth a small fortune.
>>
Holy shit, are you all in the 4H club or something?
You spend the rest of your money, about 50 silver pieces, on potato and wheat seeds.
You figure the potato will bear fruit, or vegetable, fast enough to make you enough money to widen your field a bit.
You'll start slow, and work up from there.
You bid Hamad farewell, telling him to say goodnight to Daliah for you. He says he'll drop by in the next day or so to see how you're doing. You make your way back to your farm, in time to get a full nights restful sleep.
~~~~~~~~~

Morning comes again, and with it, a few hours of back breaking labour. You till the absolute shit out of your small patch of land, with your huge, dull hoe. You move rocks, and you kick stumps. By mid day you are ready to begin planting seeds, but first you take a brief rest.

You move to sit on a rock behind you, but as you sit, you notice the rock is oddly squishy.

>>
The rock feels very soft, and you can hear it breathing lightly. There's a slight tremble to it's movements. You smell a faint herbal scent to the rock, and separately, a minty smell. The rock leans into you, and you feel more squishyness against your back. Your core temperature raises five degrees Fahrenheit. Waifish rock arms wrap around your midsection, and hold you softly, but tightly. You hear a faint mewling somewhere close by.

The rock speaks.

"Keith. Please."

Your heart stops.

"I found this cat in the woods, but father won't let me keep it. He's always been afraid of animals. Please. Will you...let me keep it here? I promise, I'll come out every day to feed it and take care of it! Please!"

Your mind moves slowly, as your heart deigns to begin again.

"Um...Deliah?"

"Please."

You turn your head slightly, and see a very young siamese cat sitting nearby, looking at you with deep eyes.

>allowing Deliah to keep the cat on your farm will have far reaching implications, now and later. She will visit your farm on a daily basis, which could easily lead to a relationship. If you were going to see your dating options first, it would be wiser to deny her this. The cat will respond primarily to her, though in time the cat will warn you of bad weather and other natural disasters 48 hours before they arrive. The cat feeds itself, Deliah's presence is more for show than anything, but the cat enjoys it. Disallowing the cat to remain will cause you to lose a fair amount of friendship with Deliah, and by proxy, a little bit with Hamad.

What do you do?
>>
>>24468769
>If you were going to see your dating options first, it would be wiser to deny her this.
I do want to see our other dating options before picking one to pursue.
However, as the kind of person we've been playing so far, denying keeping a cat is not in his character.

Also, having a cat that can catch mice and keep the seeds safe is important.
>>
>>24468769
Yes, if we have to we can always friendzone Deliah later.
>>
>>24468769
I'd say take a middle path if possible, let it live on our land freely or something.

Otherwise deny cause

I am in favour for keeping the cat as it not only keeps the house rodent free, but the fields free of small birds and moles...
>>
>>24468769

Siamese typically bond to one person.

If it's living with us, it'll bond with us. If it prefers Deliah, it'll follow her home once it's older.

Otherwise, we have a very much dog-like trainable cat.

So, I'm in favor of keeping the cat, as I wanted it in the first place... Heh.
>>
You try to stand, but Deliah has you with a surprisingly strong grip.

"Uhh, yeah, that'll be fine Deliah, I don't see how it'll be any trouble for me."

Deliah releases you, and you stand, somewhat regretfully, as she was quite soft. You turn to face her, and she's positively beaming. It's almost scary.

"You WON'T regret this Keith, you'll see. Now, let me show you how to plant those seeds, like I told you I would."

"I don't remember that."

"I didn't ask you to, so that's fine."

~~~~
You managed to get the seeds planted in a grid of 1x1 meter squares. Five rows of potatoes ten meters long, same with the wheat. Deliah was pleased to see the potato seeds.
You decide to ask Deliah about the lack of farm animals, you've been noticing it the last few days.
"Ah, well, you see...It wasn't always like this. It was, but it wasn't. Shady River has all the animals, and they always did, but we used to trade, so there'd be a chicken here, or maybe a cow. But mostly there. I suppose the only way to get an animal these days would be to steal one from them. Not that they don't deserve it, but they're dangerous people. Almost animals themselves."
Her eyes begin to glitter wetly, and you wisely drop the topic.
Name the Siamese cat Oliver, and give it a good pet.
If female, Olivia. Easy fix.
And as much as I'd love to raid Shady River, we have neither the tools nor the resources to plot against the scummy slavic squatters.
We walk Deliah home, if anything for fear that she may get lost or pick up another amazing cat.
Walk her home. Come on, I wouldn't let her go home alone with Slavs nearby and so shouldn't you. Besides, if you're lucky you'll be in time for dinner and they'll invite you for a meal.
>>
>[ ] Offer to walk Deliah home
Never relax so long as those Slavs are still alive.
Or at least, Gregor.
>>
You offer to walk Deliah home, but she shakes her head.
"I'll be fine, it's only an hour."
You move to insist, but she shushes you and moves close. Wayyyy inside your bubble.
"If you could have a farm animal, would you rather have a couple of chickens, or a pig? Maybe a sheep?"
She seems very serious, so you think on it.
Well, what is your dream animal?
>>
>>24469036
Goats. They can produce milk and meat, as well as fabric for clothing, great animals.
>>
>>24469036
Sheep would provide wool, and would eat the clovers used to re-nitrogenate the soil after the potatoes.
>>
>>24469059
>>
>>24469059
>>24469067
No goats. If she takes a goat from the slavs, they'll hunt her down and destroy her.
They shouldn't care as much about a chicken. We're making wheat anyway and they can forage just fine. Also, eggs + wheat will allow us to make eggbread. Or at least have scrambled eggs.
Oh, and if they're fertile, more chickens.
>>
>>24469059
Goats
the all purpose animal
>>
>>24469096
Why would slavs have goats?
Goats go on kebabs.
>>
>>24469103
Just saying, they'll care more about the goat than anything else if she does end up stealing one from them.
>>
You tell her that hypothetically you'd like a goat, but failing that, any animal might be nice.
You think to ask her why she wanted to know, but as is becoming usual, she's off down the road without saying goodbye.
You head to bed, and sleep the night away.
~~~~~~

Your door slams open, and the night walks in.

WHERE IS SHE

"What?"

WHERE IS SHE

~~~~~
Deliah is gone. It's the morning now, and a highly distraught Hamad has been grilling you for hours. You have no idea where she might be, but an awful idea is sneaking into your head.
"um, sir, there is one possibility. She was mentioning farm animals, and asked me which kind I'd like. I thought she was being hypothetical, but..."
This does nothing for Hamad's mood.
[X] Mount a rescue party of one, assuming she did actually go to Shady River
This is not about whether we want her to be our wife.
This is about proving that we're one of the villagers, willing to put our own neck on the line for another.
Are we heroes? No.
We're just a villager from Bounty Town.
>>
>>24469153
Tell Hamad that we shall go and find her. Not even death shall stop us from finding her!
>>
/tg/ I am proud.
Hamad procures a "belt knife" that's more of a machete.
"Come back with her, or don't come back. I don't mean that, but I do. Go now, and with the blessings of the old gods. I'll take care of your crops while you're gone."
You take off at a jog, trying to make up for lost time.
~~~~~~~~~~

Two days pass, and you're just outside Shady River, in the woods. It's the middle of the night, and a new moon fails to illuminate the sky. You can see small figures in the town, some leaving what you assume to be a bar, some finishing some late farm work. There appears to be some degree of hubbub around one of the barns. You remove all your clothes save for your underwear and smear yourself in thick mud from a small bog. Once you have full coverage, you begin your approach.

It feels like it takes only seconds for you to come within spitting distance of the barn. You hear two voices within, and there's one Slav squatting on guard outside.

You have initiative. Roll 1d100 for sneak attack.

88 will do.

The knife goes cleanly through his throat. Blood sprays, legs jerk, and a bit of yourself dies. You idly wonder where your life went so strange, as you let the body down gently.

You place your ear to the barn door, to hear more clearly within. Though you only heard him once, you can be certain one of the voices is Gregor, and the other is the stilted flat voice of Deliah.

"You think you can just come in here and kill five of my villagers, and then leave? You think you can steal my chickens too? You disgusting bitch. I will hang you at the outskirts of my village to serve as a warning."

"It was worth it. For mother. And, for Keith."

The last part was mumbled, so you barely made it out.

There doesn't seem to be many ways to enter the barn. You're going to have to go in the front door. Wait, she killed five people? What the shit?

Roll d10 for initiative, and then d100 combat against Gregor's Initiative and combat in this post.

Ho ho ho.

That'll do.

Gregor turns as he hears the door open, and though surprised, he lowers his spear as you charge. He catches you with it too. You're impaled through the gut. It's a strong pain, but the sight of Deliah strung up on a wooden cross puts you over the edge.

You grab the haft of the spear with one hand and take a step forward. And another. And another. Nothing matters but Gregor and the girl behind him. You think of your parents, briefly, what they would think, but then you focus.

Gregor's eyes widen in fear as you reach him. You plunge the knife into his forehead, to the hilt. About a foot of it sticks out the back of his head. Gregor falls, making a strange noise.

You work the spear out of yourself, slowly. Then you turn your focus to Daliah. Daliah, Dalliance, Hailed.

You reach her, and cut her simple cloth bonds with a knife from the floor. She falls onto you, and you hit the floor. The last thing you see before you pass out is Deliah's face, fading. She seems so worried. Emotion is not natural on her face.

~~~~~~
That's it for tonight folks. Thanks for sticking around. Don't worry, you aren't dead. You'll have a bitching scar, and the gratitude of the village.
I'm getting the idea that we may get a "You killed my father, prepare to die." type deal from either Gregor's son, or his own daughter.
Then again, they may have been mistreated due to Gregor's anger, sadness, and overall drunken rage at losing the woman that he had so loved to Bounty Town's Hamad.
Then again, that bears the question...
Did he love a black woman, or was she a Slav?
Deliah's Half fuck'n Slav! Watch out for when she pops a slav squat!
