“I think its best, then, that we don’t grant this wish of hers. At least, not with your abilities.” You remark.

~Likely the wisest choice.~ Caster remarks.

“As well, I think we ought to not to bring up our, ah, refusal to grant her wish. Instead, we should subtly encourage her to look towards the other routes we have available.” You add. Caster nods.

~I agree, Master. I will inform her and her Master that the results of attempting to grant her wish are not acceptable at the current times.~ Caster replies.

“Excellent. Thank you, Caster.” You reply as he fades from view to meet with the others. You turn to face Assassin who has dissected and ripped apart the girl, her organs neatly laid out around her.

“She wasn’t a Master. No sign of magic circuits anywhere in her body.” Assassin says, stepping away from her victim, “Would you take care of eliminating the evidence?” She asks. You nod, and step forward, mumbling several words under your breath and pulling a lump of metal out of your pocket. You drop it in the center of the corpse and the metal glows red hot and begans burning through the flesh and bone, the metal expanding and reaching out like a living creature to collect more and more flesh. Fifteen minutes later, you have a metal box, within which are the ashes of the girl whom Assassin murdered. Caster stands off to the side, having arrived partway through the disposal, and observed curiously.

~They expressed their disappointment, but are willing to continue working with us for now.~ Caster told you.

“Thank you.” You mutter, "Also, what was her name?"

~Akiko Shirosawa.~ Caster replies. You nod in mute thanks. You will honor her memory.

“So...the War is finally swinging into gear.” Assassin mused. You find yourself subtly nodding in agreement as you think about where to go from here.

"Assassin, we're going to need more info before we can act. I have no right to ask you of this, but your help in scouting would be appreciated." You tell her.

"I would want someone to guard Tomoko when I was not with her." Assassin told you.

"I know, and I'll see what Caster and I can do about that." You assure her.

"Then I will expand my scouting attempts." Assassin answers.

"As well, Tomoko and I will need some kind of excuse to meet up without looking to suspicious. I plan to keep up the charade of being a normal student for as long as possible." You tell her.

"I will speak with her, then. She may just decide to meet up with you whenever she feels like it anyways, however." Assassin replies.

"Great. Well, I'll meet you tomorrow with my plans for guarding Tomoko then." You assure Assassin, turning to leave with Saber.

For guarding Tomoko, you probably ought to...
[]Have your Saber guard her.
[]Have Caster guard her
[]Summon another Psuedo-Servant to guard her

The next morning your sitting at the table with Sayaka and Caster, still drained from the previous night. "Caster. Do you think you can summon up another Servant to guard Tomoko with?" You ask him. He thinks for a moment before nodding.

~Yes. Considering Tomoko, I have a most ideal girl who can prove useful in combat as well, should we need her.~ Caster informed you.

"Excellent. If you would summon her up, please?" You ask softly. Caster steps out into the middle of your small living room and a soft glow fills the room, leaving a golden haired young woman crouched in front of the small cat like Servant. She's a dressed in a rather risque outfit, making you think of a fetishist bar maid.

"I am the one who is bound, answering the pull of your call." She says softly, standing and opening her eyes. Her gaze seems to alight upon seeing Sayaka. "Ah, Saber, dear! You've already been called?" She asks.

"Yes, Archer. It's nice to see you again, as well." Sayaka answers softly.

"Well, it looks like this time you're my experienced senior instead of the other way around." Archer remarks.

"Yes, well, we need you to watch one of our allied Masters while her Servant is out scouting for us." You tell her.

"Oh? I can do that. Where is the Master I will be guarding?" Archer asks.

"You'll meet her a little later, when I go to school." You tell her, "But for now, would you like some breakfast?"

"Oh, breakfast does sound nice. Very well, then."

------------

Later that morning, you meet up with Tomoko who immediately takes to Archer calling her Onee-sama, for whatever that means. Archer herself seems rather smitten with the short girl as well. Assassin nods her thanks and slips out for the day, leaving you to your classes.

I should also point out that due to Caster's mental pollution Information Erasure might not work on him at all. Thus, he'll remember exactly what happened to that broad Assassin iced, including the dissection. That, plus the bank of fog that always follows her around and our familiarity with legends and myth will give us an IC reason to know her identity as Jack. Tomoko probably already knows ours so we need to fix this little information gap.

You find yourself distracted slightly through all of class, Caster wrapped comfortingly around your shoulders for most of your day. At the end of the day, you meet up with Tomoko and Archer, who are both all smiles and grins.

"Has Assassin come back to talk to you, Tomoko?" You ask her in the privacy of her dorm room, where Archer has prepared tea and somehow found the ingredients and utensils to bake a cake.

"Mm, not yet, no. Which is odd...Nee-chan has never been late before..." Tomoko muttered, a worried look crossing her face, making her look far more tired and depressed than you've ever seen her.

"Maybe I should go out looking for her? Or Saber?" Archer suggests.

"That's a possibility. As is having Tomoko use a Command Seal to return Assassin here. Or, we can attempt to scry on Assassin's location, using Tomoko here as the source. Or, if Tomoko knows how, she can just look through Assassin's eyes to see what's up." You point out.

"Ah, sorry. I don't know how to do anything magical, summoning Nee-chan was something of a...freak accident." Tomoko mumbled.

~Even so, we have plenty of options.~ Caster points out.

Forgot to add, we should ask if she even knows about things like a magus or magecraft. If totally ignorant she must be enlightened as to the nature of most magi. We can give her a toned down version of "The Talk" I've been wanting to give her. Amped up version can wait for a climactic moment.

"At base all a magus wants to do is achieve the root of all knowledge, Akasha, and be able to perform the true magics. This war is an easy way to do that. Given the chance to achieve their goal, whatever it may be, a typical magus will do most anything. If the enemy master is a magus he will kill you because that is easier than taking out your servant. In fact, he'll try to kill you both at the same time because so long as you have command seals a servant that has lost its master can contract with you. They are ruled by pure practical logic, morality is of little to no concern for most of them.

They are also a bunch of pretentious self-serving idiotic Luddites and eschew most all modern technology. If anything that is their biggest weakness. I do not share it, and because of that I am essentially an exile. I'm surprised they haven't slapped a sealing designation on me out of spite yet."

"A scrying attempt would likely be our best, and safest, bet. Caster, would you mind assisting me?" You ask him, beginning to clear the small table. Archer and Saber jump in, grabbing dishes and setting them aside as Caster jumps up onto the table.

~Tomoko, please sit in the center of the table.~ Your Servant requests. The young girl does asked, climbing up onto the table and sitting in that odd Japanese style in the center of the table. ~Now, stare into my eyes. Do not look away.~ He intones as you set several precious metals around Tomoko in a hexagonal formation. You began to mumble the spell, letting the liquid metal of your circuits flood your senses. You're getting glimpses of Assassin in a deep fog, occasionally clashing with two young man to be driven off by Archer at the last minute. She's taken several serious wounds while Archer seems almost untouched. You hear Tomoko whimpering in sympathy at the wounds. You silently curse Assassin under your breath for being so arrogant as to try attacking during the day.

>[X]Have Tomoko call her back now!
This will not end well if we don't do this. Jack's going to die, we'll reveal our own Archer, and we won't accomplish anything.

We need to get closer to Tomoko and get a cover story. Ask her how she would feel about going out with you. Tell her it's a cover, but hint that that's not all it is. Perhaps mention that she and Onee-chan saved your life the other night.
>>
"Call her back. Call her back, now. We can't risk losing her like this." You command.

"H-How?" Tomoko asks shakily as there's an image of Assassin being easily batted aside by a huge slab of stone in the vague shape of a sword.

"Focus all your will on it, focus on the Command Seal and getting Assassin back here now." You tell her. She swallows nervously, and places one hand upon her left breast, over heart.

"Please...please return Nee-chan..." She half whispers. There's a bright glow and suddenly a wounded Assassin is in Tomoko's lap. You let the scrying spell fade, and Tomoko stops looking into Caster's eyes and squeaks at the sight of Assassin, her face severely cut and one arm obviously broken. Tomoko's Servant is also bleeding profusely from two stab wounds in her gut and a multitude more small nicks and cuts. Archer and Saber pull Tomoko back and out of the way as you pick Assassin up and set her back down on the table. Caster moves to one side as you do so. Assassin manages to lock her gaze onto you and grabs your collar.

"Archer. I am the Bone of My Sword; Steel is My Body, Fire is my Blood. Multiple Phantasms. Multiple Swords. One Spear. One Bow. Poor Defense, overwhelming offense." She grits out before collapsing back onto the table. Her breathing is ragged and heavy, and your not entirely certain how to deal with this. Your medical skills are poor at best, and most of your spells deal with inorganic matter. If Tomoko could channel magic to Jack, this would be much easier. You might be able to rush her through enough basics, but it would be dangerous for both of them.

There's no point keeping the Meguca Army under wraps if we're going to keep throwing faux-servants at them. They already know that we've got minions, let's try to keep them guessing as to whether we can get new ones.

We should surreptitiously ask the Cubester if he could make a mahou shoujo out of Tomoko. Could make for a nifty little trump card in the case of Jack's death.

When possible, ask Cubes for some details regarding witchification. Can his summoned meguca go witch? If so, what does that do to their capabilities and drain on his prana? If he makes a new meguca, does it drain his prana, or does it function autonomously? Depending on previous answer, how does them going witch affect that?

If possible, could he rattle of a list of the more powerful megucas that he has access to and what their abilities are? I'm none to pleased that five threads in we still haven't checked all the cards in our opening hand.

Really though, ask Caster if he or any of the meguca have healing capabilities. At the very least, I know Sayaka is good at healing herself due to her wish being focused on healing. She may be capable of transferring some of that over to Jack. If he can, Cubes could also try summoning a weaker meguca with healing capabilities that we would dismiss as soon as we're done with. As soon as we aren't actively preoccupied, we need to ask Cubes to answer these (>>24347869).

Say, how do rolls count in this situation anyway? Is it just first 5 rolls and whatever is voted for the most? Most votes and only the rolls for those votes? if it's the former, we're fucked with a 51. If the latter and Crash Course is winning, only >>24347838 >>24347844 >>24347922 >>24347934 and >>24347980 count and the last one saved our asses.
>>
>>24347757
Also, this tells us quite a lot as we have researched the previous grail wars and the 5th has obstensively happened. We know of Rin, Shirou, and the rest in some form. If we know about that we know about GARcher, a girl being him is likely because we know of him and know that through the Kalidescope, all things are possible. Zel, we can deduce a bit about him given our own knowledge. Damn I wish we had a Kalidostick.

Oh, there will come a time to use Cubes to his full potential, but using his abilities without knowing what happens is like playing Russian roulette with a sentient pistol.

"Tomoko, you're going to need to provide mana for Jack to heal with. That means I'm giving you a crash course in magic." You say, suppressing the shaking in your voice. This is the first time you've felt like you've been in over your head. "Somewhere here I have a small bit of metal with some mana it to help awaken your circuits." You mumble, rifling through your pocket for your lucky coin.

~No need, Master. Tomoko, lick this.~ Caster orders, dipping his paw into Assassin's blood and holding it up for Tomoko. She looks at you questioningly and you look to Caster. ~Yours and Master's Origins and Elements are different, but you are in line with your Servant's. Blood and Shadow. Therefore it is safer for you to use your Servant's mana to activate your own circuits.~ Caster explains. That does make sense.

"Do it, Tomoko. You're going to feel some kind of sensation, possibly similar to what you felt when you used your Command Seal. I want you to focus on that. Then, push everything you can towards Assassin." You advise her. She nods shakily and leans down, licking the blood off of Caster's paw.

~Swallow.~ Caster commands. Tomoko does so nervously and there's a tense moment before suddenly, she screams in pain. The blood on the table in front of you rises and twists in response to Tomoko's scream, and Assassin's body jerks. Your vision swims before you and your view of the world dims. Behind Tomoko you can see Archer and Saber stagger and fall to the floor. There's a sudden slurch as the blood starts staggering back toward's Assassin's body and then, you feel pain blossoming on your chest as your skin peels open and blood starts to flow out a quick glance at Tomoko reveals blood working its way from out of her shirt and crawling towards Assassin. And it's the last thing you see before blacking out.

[1/2]

>It's the first five rolls paired with the vote, and the more successes the better you do. The fewer success, the worse you do. Its a sliding scale.

You blink your eyes open wearily, your head pounding. You're face down on the table with Assassin sleeping softly on it. Caster is sitting nearby, watching vigilantly. Tomoko is by your side, collapsed next to you. Saber and Archer are in a heap by the bed, and there's a fair amount of blood staining the carpet around the small table. You push yourself up off the table with some difficulty, your vision slightly unsteady as you do so. Assassin seems fine, her formerly severe wounds are now filled with an inky blankness, the cuts sewn shut with thread made of the same material.

~Ah, Master. Good to see you awake again. It would appear our attempt to teach Tomoko to harness her natural abilities succeeded beyond expectations.~ Caster remarks as he pads over to you.

So, the first five rolls for anything, but the vote will determine what the rolls end up counting for?

We also need to ask Cubes for his name and a rundown on what his personal magical skills are. The fact that we don't know his name several days into the war is beyond retarded. The only reason Shirou didn't know is due his being a non-magus and Saber's paranoia.

"What do you mean Caster? Did we get her origin right or something?"

Origins matter a whole fucking lot in the nasuverse. It's WHAT you are, and that has serious fucking implications. Our origin is mind, that means that if the mind has any hope of comprehending it, we will. That is what mind does, understand, comprehend.

>>24348359
That is in line with our origin. It's logic through another means. We pretty much are Sherlock Holmes through our origin. We would ask that, because that literally is who we are. Or rather, what we are. We are mind, we are thus by extension thought. But it also means we feel, we do care. Mind does not exclude emotion, indeed, it demands it. A mind does feel, if only a little.

You unsteadily push yourself to your feet, and try to start cleaning up the area.

~Master, please. Do not strain yourself. Saber and Archer are beginning to awaken, and they can deal with this.~ Caster advises you as you collapse onto your rear end.

"Caster...what happened here? Did we get something wrong with her Origin?" You mumble.

~Not quite, Master. I underestimate her connection to it and the quality and number of her magical circuits. I believe she has more circuits than you do, if of a moderate quality compared to the high quality of your own. I was expecting low quality, and few in number.~ Caster answered as Archer and Saber climbed to their feet and took a look around the room.

"Do you mind helping to clean up? And maybe getting some iron rich foods and some liquids? Sugars are good too." You tell the two pseudo servants. Archer nods, and leaves the room quickly while Saber sighs and begins to clean up around you, moving Assassin and Tomoko to the bed to start. "Thank you. Now, Caster, am I correct in my assumptions that she pulled blood out of us to heal Assassin with?" You ask. Caster nods.

~Yes. She also stole some of your mana, my mana, and our Servant's mana in doing so. She's very efficient at leeching the very life force of our being with her Origin, and in doing so she created a shadow of some of our own skills to appropriate as her own with her Element. Perhaps distorted from ours, but they worked. Assassin's wounds were healed through a combination of my own knowledge of anatomy and Saber's Battle Continuation skill, used with Saber's own mana even. She's has quite a potent combination of abilities there, especially if she can refine them.~ Caster explained.

"Alright. And how long were we out?" You ask.

~Three hours, ten minutes, thirty-two seconds. As well, you have lost more than twice the recommended amount of blood to offer for donation. Tomoko provided approximately the same amount. From myself, she mostly managed to pull some of my mana due to my body lacking blood, such as it were. From Archer and Saber, she pulled that which approximates blood from them and with it mana, but they are perfectly capable of ignoring such a complication until there mana is restored.~ Caster tells you. Well, you're not likely to do any patrolling tonight. You'll probably stay here and recover for a bit before heading home. About fifteen minutes later, Archer returns with armloads of food stuffs and juices. She gives you one of the jugs of orange juice and sets about cooking something in the small attached kitchenette in the next room over. Tomoko and Assassin begin to stir as she returns with some kind of casserole. Saber and Archer help the two to the table, and you have a quiet meal, taking some time to explain to Tomoko to be careful until she's feeling better and warning Assassin to stick by her Master's side and not to take reckless risks like that again. With that said, after the dinner you leave, doing your best to ignore the way your vision occasionally swims in front of you. When you finally arrive home in the whee hours of the morning, you find yourself faced with a rather annoying complication. Your car has been chopped to pieces, and almost everything in your apartment is wrecked. Your weapons are gone, so are your generators, and your familiar. You let out a defeated sigh, about to write everything off as a loss when a piece of debris shifts and your familiar crawls out of its hiding spice, several of your materials and your best two mana generators being dragged behind it. It looks up at you as if expecting something.

Our boy has shit for personal skills. I'm doubtful of our ability to falsely flirt with Tomoko without either failing or making Jack get suspicious (and therefore stabby). Let's just go for a more honest courting.

>>24348903
>Given the period of time that passed, we should've had an opportunity to start probing Cubes for some of the information that we need.
>Compliment the familiar for a job well done. It obviously has some sort of sentience.
>Retrieve the materials, have Cubes alert Mami, and Jack and Tomoko by extension of the break-in, immediately have Cubes check for nearby presences. It could be a trap, so tell him that it's okay if he actively scans for enemies.
We'll probably want to hole up with Tomoko for the time being. If they know where we were, they probably know about her. At least get to her place for the night, or get there and relocate to somewhere else.
>Contact Rook and Monster with the phone, let them know.
>>
>>24349056

I agree, we should not, but our two options knowing the threat she poses are destroy her or permanent alliance.
>>
>>24348903
Well, our place is no longer safe. Assassin was fighting Archer, so Archer didn't do this. We havn't met Rider, Lancer, or Berserker (one of which was replaced by Monster). Saber probably did this, he and Archer should be our priorities.

Until then, I'm split between just crashing at our apartment out of exaustion and possibly get ambushed, or walk back to Tomoko's and potentially lead our enemies there.

"Good job." You say, patting its head in congratulations before taking the two generators from it. It shivers slightly at your touch before leaping to hide in you shadow. With a sigh, you pull your phone out and dial Tomoko up. On the third ring she finally answers.

"Nicolas?" She mumbles.

"I...have a problem. I'm going to need to crash at your place for now." You tell her. You hear Assassin grumbling something in the background for a moment.

"Kay. Nee-chan will let you in when you get here." She mumbles before suddenly hanging up. She's still pretty out of it from her first attempt at magic.

"Come on, Master." Archer says, guiding you away from your wrecked apartment leading you back towards the school. Eventually, you get back to Tomoko's dorm room, ignoring the occasional questioning glances of people looking at you. Just as you prepare to knock on the door, it opens and Assassin pulls you in. She points you to a small futon on the floor across the room from Tomoko's bed which you gladly take. Your familiar buries itself in a nearby closet, and your Servants step outside with Assassin to discuss matters in hushed tones. You, on the other hand, pass out the moment your head hits the pillow.

----

Later that night, you're sitting at the table with Tomoko and the Servants, eating another of Archer's prepared meals. Tomoko still looks a little under the weather, but you're feeling quite better. You think you'll...

You and I Kotomine, I keep saying we think similarly for a reason. Tomoko MUST learn of magecraft if she hopes to survive. We, as a magus, are the perfect person to teach her. We are the Rin to her Shirou, we will show her the path. We will open her circuits, and she will be grateful. Her origin is either "Blood" or "Death", best to have such types on our side. If she gets MEoDP or "Blood-bending" I'll be damn glad she's on our side.

Think of "origins" as Platonic "Forms". If you have X origin, you ARE said origin given physical form. You can't deny it, you can't rebel against it. You ARE X, period. No matter how much you hate to betray people, for example, if your origin is "Betrayal" you WILL do it, period. It is your origin, you will live up to it, no matter what. I'd rather we bunker down where we can get access to a lot of prana to support Caster and go full Army of the King. Plus, bunkering down at dorms isn't a good idea in my book. Too many people that could get involved, and Tomoko could make unreasonable demands to expend resources to keep them safe if an enemy attacks.

On the way there, have caster explain EVERYTHING about the megucas, how they turn into witches, what Caster gains out of it, weak points (SOULGEM), etc.

Ask Rook and Monster if we can bunker down if they're there. If they say no, offer to grant Monster's wish, and when the Soul Gem is formed, have Caster destroy it to rid ourselves of Monster, or allow Monster to live for now and have Archer snipe the Soul Gem at a later date.

After we've bunkered down, make an offer to Tomoko and Assassin asking them to come with us, where we can teach Tomoko in safety.

There's a good chance that the enemy knows about this location. Tomorrow, we move locations during the day. Might look into shacking up with Rook and Monster. As soon as we get the details on making new meguca's, we might want to go ahead and turn Monster.

Yeah, I'm saying the combat golem is probably a stupid idea. If we want to gank masters, we'd be better off just using the actual Assassin, or having Cubes bring in another meguca on a temporary basis. Hell, it's not like we even had all that formidable of an arsenal in the first place. Instead of making an iron man golem, we'd be better off making large numbers of mobile, magical IED's.

>>24349520
>>24349546
While the odds of us getting anything noteworthy out of developing her magic are slim, we might as well teach her a bit.

Servants can be kept busy fighting other Servants. Of fucking course we wouldn't just send a golem to tangle with a Servant. Use your damn head.

A bullet-spewing deathbot is just as good a way to deal with a Master as any. Not every Magus just carries around a Mystic Code capable of blocking automatic gunfire.
>>
>>24349751
Actually, being in the dorms might offer us protection for at least a while. It'll be difficult for the knight classes to attack without generating the kind of ruckus that gets the church involved. We don't want to stay here, but I think waiting until we're a bit more rested is more prudent than rushing out right now. We should take Tomoko with us regardless of what we try to do. We're with her for better or ill at this point.

>>24349643
Think of our origin as the element that we are defined as. If our soul was derived down to the smallest, most basic unit possible, it would have the identity of "mind"

Our element is basically what we are able to manipulate. In our case, we can manipulate metal. Nifty for crafting golems and the like, and we might have been able to make a useful Mystic Code out one of the guns.
>>
>>24349766
You need skill to use a rifle with any efficacy. We don't have that skill.
>>
>>24349868

What part of Golem can you not fucking read. Its a golem, we'll make it it's arm or something.

Our entire philosophy is mundane melded with magical, this is something we would do.
>>
>>24349800

>>
>>24349896
Okay, it has a rifle for an arm. We still don't have a way of making it shoot worth a damn. We know nothing about marksmanship, and, even if we did, do we even know if we can program the bot to use the rifle well?
>>
>>24349841
True, I guess this is another one of my plans that will have to be filed away for a later date. As for Tomoko, I know we're with her to the end, I just thought it would have been better to deal with Monster out of her sight and then have her come, rather than flip out at us for potentially going Urobutcher on Monster.
>>
>>24349923

Magic. We make it magic. Because its a golem, and golems are our thing, I think its in our fucking ability to make it able to aim its arms at things and discharge a firearm.

Do you hate guns? Have you never seen/read Fate Zero?
>>
>>24349924
We don't really know if contracting her would cause an Urobutcher situation. Right know, we know next to nothing about how Cubes powers work. Hell, if he's from the post-Godoka universe, we don't even have to worry about witches. In any case, I'd prefer to avoid leaving Tomoko alone in a location where the enemy has a good probability of knowing about. Jack might not be back up to full combat efficacy for a while, and she's not that good in a stand-up fight regardless.
>>
>>24349923
Thats what the MAGIC is for. It doesn't need to be a skilled marksman if the damn gun and/or bullets are enchanted to be able to hit stuff.
>>
>>24349953
It can't be as simple as "magic." If we could craft a golem and then magically give it expert marksmanship, we could've made a golem and given it expert crafting skills. Boom, we now have an automated golem factory. Then we make a medic golem.

I like guns, but Nicolas doesn't know how to use them. We should devote our time and resources to more fruitful endeavors. If we're really so set on making weaponized golems, we'd be better off using ones that don't require any degree of skill to use (ie pipe bombs with legs).
>>
>>24350061

You are ridiculous. The bomb is a decent idea, but so are the guns. We don't know shit about explosives either, do you think the golem will blow up in our face?
>>
>>24350008
Indeed. Assassin can't win for shit unless certain conditions are met, same with caster. Both of us are fucked if we aren't in control of the situation. If we do control the situation however, it is the OTHER fucker who is well and truly fucked. Our servants are heavily reliant on plotting. We must plot, we must plan, we must lure the enemy into a situation where we have the advantage. We win if thhat is the case, if not, we lose. Period. Remember that. Information and control, we live and die based on that.

>>

It's not difficult to find guides on basic explosives online. The bot doesn't need any sort of complex skills to get close and pull a pin. It takes hours upon hours upon hours to become an expert marksman.
>>
>>24350114

Its a golem. I think we could give it the ability to aim. Your belief that we cannot is entirely arbitrary, and based on nothing other than your own preference for explosives.
>>
>>24350061
>then magically give it expert marksmanship
Because we wouldn't be doing that.

We'd be giving it a small mana battery, and probably enchanting the gun to "hit the person its pointed at" or something like that. Golem expends mana to activate the Mystic Code, pulls trigger, bullet flies on target.

We wouldn't be giving the golem skills or knowledge, because that would be impossible. We would give it an enchanted item that causes a specific effect when activated.
>>
You decide it's best to play it safe, and stay in for tonight. Even though you're feeling better, you're not certain it would be a good idea to risk it. "Tomoko, I would like to take some time to teach you about magic and your abilities in particular." You tell her.

"Kay. Hope you don't want me to do anything tonight..." She mumbled tiredly.

"No, not tonight. I think, first, we'll talk about Magic circuits, Origins, and Elements." You tell her. She nods, and you begin your explanation, "MAgic Circuits are your ability to channel mana. Their number and quality determine the amount of mana you can use at once and with what skill you can use it. The problem is the body was not meant to channel mana, so we need to reflect the circuits in your soul to your body. Once this is done, you can channel mana of your own and cast spells. But, the spells you can cast may be limited, due to your Origin and your Element. Your Origin is a reflection of who you are, and its very essence permeates you and lets manipulate in very unusual ways. It connects with you and you connect with it in still somewhat mystifying ways. It often determines how your spells are cast. Now, your Element determines the types of spells you can cast. Someone with a Fire element is very good with fire spells, and might be able to learn some others, but it is only with a lot of extra work."

"So...what are mine?" She asks you.

~Your Origin is Blood, your Element is Shadow. You connect to people's very life essence, and you can shadow their traits and skills.~ Caster explained.

"...How?" Tomoko asks.

~I am not entirely certain, but it is how you healed Assassin. I recognized some of the skills as my own, if twisted and warped.~ Caster explained.

"I see...so I can Megaman other people's powers?" Tomoko asked. It takes you a moment to place the reference, but when you do you nod.

"Something to that effect. This is why you shoould learn to harness your abilities. They are increcibly useful and powerful." You tell her. Assassin nods in agreement. I prefer the explosives because they're feasible, but I'd rather not fool around with weaponized golems in the first place. At least not while we have more pressing concerns (cementing our alliance with Tomoko, contacting Rook, securing a new base, locating/constructing a new prana supply, figuring out what Cubes is and what he can actually do). Ignoring all of that and thinking we can make robo-Kerry is a terrible idea.

We had those guns for days, and they didn't do anything. Then, the enemy destroys our base almost all of our materials, demonstrating that they've been investigating us and they quite possibly know about our current location, and some people's first reaction is to worry about the guns.

>>24350132
It can't be that simple. How many ranged Noble Phantasms have had a property like that? I think Gay Bulge might be the closest. If it was that simple, why didn't Archer make a modification like that to some of his fakes for ranged use?

If it is that simple, than the Myr factory is a higher priority than playing with guns.

A school dorm gives us some natural cover, because the less-subtle Servants can't just bust in here and start a fight without catching a bunch of civilians in the crossfire, and the Church doesn't take kindly to that.

Whoever trashed our house probably already knows we're here, so we may as well go full Helm's Deep on their ass rather than trying to be subtle for no reason.
>>
>>24350271
>>24350264
Are we sure we can defeat Saber and Archer in a straight-up fight? They found our last hiding place, there's a good chance they can find this one. Shit, we've actually been sending servants out grocery shopping from here.
>>
>>24350226
Rise early and consolidate, warn Rook of possible berserker style servant, suggest he assist us and our apprentice set up a stable base of operations and retreat point. his servant can set up a ton of traps to ward away enemies, once we get him started on that, rest, talk to kyubei about stuff, then set up wards around our dorm. when tomoko wakes up continue training.
>>
>>24350235
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocLmKWaK5HE

You are right in that we need a new base. Coobie should turtle it HARD given how that didn't trip our sensors. They brute forced through our stealth prep like it was nothing. NOPE! Not making that mistake again. Homu had a base, and now? Yeah, logical we have one too. We are still allied with Monster as of now, we can now TRIPLE turtle a location. Our contermeasures, coobie's countermeasures, and Monster's. We have the tech to make their dream come true without the grail. Inform them of that and they will help. They need us alive, only we can make Prana Generators as of yet, and we ain't gonna tell them how because we know how to look out for number 1! That is, ourselves.

>>24350307
Damn right. The Church. If we can trick Ciel into killing an enemy Master/Servant combo it's one hell of a victory. Say what you will of the Vatican, they do have their uses...

>>24350331
We can and will pray for church intervention. They get too gung ho about this war and they will get a visit from a person with a Conceptual Weapon. They'll learn how hard those hit the hard way. Even if we die, we drag them along with us thanks to "The Holy Church". A "Good" bad end as it were.
>>
>>24350307
The dorm will protect us for a short while, but hiding in a hotel didn't help Kayneth at all. Frankly, we aren't even Kayneth tier as far as magic goes, so trying to emulate him is a bad, bad idea. We should at least sleep in a bit. We had a rough day previously, and a late night. Things might not be getting better any time soon, so we should get some shut-eye while we can.
>>
>>24350235
It doesn't need to be anywhere as complex or powerful as Gay Bulge. It just has to be powerful enough to modify the trajectory so that the bullet gets from Point A to Point B without provided its pointed in the right direction. The enchantment I'm talking about would just have to nudge the bullet a few degrees in flight and let physics do the rest. It wouldn't make it suddenly able to turn corner or bypass magical protection or any of that shit, all it would do is make the bullet fly straight.
>>
>>24350331
You have a point, but in order for us to get back on track again, we need to reassess what we have. We can train with Tomoko, ask QB about his abilities and when that is over, we can claim another base of operations. It's only for a day.
>>
>>24350375
Most magi don't think like Kerry. Kerry was pretty much his natural enemy. He won because of that. Don't forget, magi and tech don't mix well in the nasuverse.
>>
>>24350368
Given what we might end up doing with Cubes meguca-creation powers, I'd prefer if we didn't get the church involved. Let the threat of their involvement keep the knights from getting too ornery.
>>
>>24350424
Witchpocalypse is the last thing I want to happen. Believe me because I know about the church. So long as we don't cause that we're safe from their wrath. Other people may not be. It is best we direct their wrath towards our enemies. They'll kill them dead, which only helps us in the long run.
>>
>>24350393
Yes, but if it was so simple, why wouldn't Archer have just thrown it onto his modified Caladbolgs? Even if it is that simple, gunplay is not even close to the top of our priorities.

>>24350399
Talking to Cubes won't take a day. Hell, it shouldn't take more than an hour to get the information that we've been asking for all thread. Training Tomoko is unlikely to yield significant fruits in a day, if it even can at all. Saber and Archer might know where we are right now, and we should act accordingly.

>>24350414
Archer is a crafty bastard.

All he has to do is find some way of evacuating the building. Say, by lighting a fire. Then he either goes in and UBW's us while the building's empty, or he and Saber tag-team us when we're forced to flee the dorm in the middle of the night.

>>
>>24350561
I have no idea, yet more than one person thinks that trying to fortify a single-dorm room is a good idea. This is after our last magical fort was completely demolished, mind you.
>>
>>24350519
We'll know about that due to our research into previous Grail Wars. A fire alarm goes off? We know what comes next and we clear out before it happens. We know about Kerry, we know how a fucker like that works. We won't play into his hands.

>>24350564
Like I said, worst case scenario, we take them with us. I'm not about to die alone, if I go down I'm taking the fucker responsible with me somehow!
>>
>>24350519
>why wouldn't Archer have just thrown it onto his modified Caladbolgs?

Because he had the skill to hit stuff without using valuable mana on a redundant enchantment.
It IS that simple. Its just like programming a computer to hit targets by using a laser designator. Its the same damn thing.
>>
>>24350614
...do you have any idea how difficult it is to program a computer to do anything?

Archer was missing our Assassin just a few days ago. Obviously natural skill wasn't enough. Too bad he couldn't easily enchant the arrows to home in on the target.

>>24350585
If we flee after the fire alarm, then we're more than likely running out into a trap. More than anything else, we don't want to be forced to react to what other people are doing. Staying in Tomoko's dorm is more than likely going to result in just that.
>>
>>24350681
I swear you aren't even listening to what I'm saying.

That, or you just don't fucking get how MAGIC works.

Of course its hard to program a computer to do that, which is why we would use MAGIC. I'm not saying we would suddenly create magical homing bullets, I'm saying that the bullet would hit the point it was fired at. ITS NOT FUCKING HARD TO USE MAGIC TO MAKE A TINY PIECE OF METAL FLY IN A GODDAMN STRAIGHT LINE HOLY SHIT.
>>

>>
>>24350746

>>
>>24350725
If it's not hard, then why hasn't it been done before? If it's so easy, why wouldn't a Heroic Spirit known for tinkering and magic use it?

Shit, if it's so easy, why do we even need the golem? We should just be going around with an old .22 pulling off three-sixty no-scope headshots on all the enemy masters.
>>
>>24350681
But are they smart enough for that? Again, I must remind you that Kerry is the EXCEPTION to the rule. Magi are just like other people, they don't really think all that hard. Because using that God given gift is HARD. Most people hate hard things. I don't, but that is again, an exception.

They likely won't think to trap the exits, or at least, not all the exits. Coobie can probably port us, they aren't going to think of that because they don't watch anime. So they know shit about Coobie. So we port out, and they think they got us. As we don't have Zero Lancer, thus, they don't have a way to be sure if they killed us or not. They think we're dead, we ain't, that's a HUGE advantage if you know how to play it.
>>
>>24350769
I can do it.
>>24350746
Can you prepare the answers to the previous queries about Cubes capabilities? Posting them to the Google doc and just throwing in a line about us asking in the next quest opening would work.

Also some clarifications about the limits of our golem crafting abilities would be nice.
>>
>>24350803
Because Magi almost NEVER use guns?
Because the few that DO probably didn't have an Origin and Element perfectly suited to this shit?

Because, again, a Servant doesn't NEED an enchantment to make their projectiles fly from Point A to Point B reliably?

This isn't something physically impossible. What I'm suggesting could be replicated with nothing but normal, mundane human skill. But we don't have that skill, so we let magic do the work.

This really isn't hard to understand. I don't get what your problem is.
>>
>>24350746
Might want to update Monster's info. I think we know a bit more about her than what's currently listed.
>>
>>24350836
Your folem crafting limits are pretty much limited by your materials. You're fairly certain you could easily make what some people would call mini mechs with them, if given enought ime and resources. As for Kyubei info, I will add some of it and add a small line about you and Caster talking probably. Not to say he'll spill everything, but...you might get some useful info out of him yet.
>>
>>24350807
Are they smart enough to ambush us when we flee? I'm willing to go out on a limb and say yes. They won't just light the building on fire, not see us come out, and assume that we're dead. (Are we even sure that Cubes can teleport us?)

If they know where we are, which they probably do or will soon, they won't just say "Well, there's civilians around, guess we have to leave them alone." One way or another, they will attack us. If we have to get attacked, might as well do it where we can get assistance from Monster and Rook and use our own powers to their full extent. Not to mention the benefit of camping out on the leyline.
>>
>>24350746
Keep trying dude. Maybe restart the comp. I get "Connection Error" quite frequently. Persistence, and a restart when things get really annoying, seem to conquer it more often than not. Would love to get one last update, just to see how fucked we are.

I'm here because I figure we're fucked. I want to see if we can avoid that somehow. I love me my train wrecks after all...

>>24350937
Not disagreeing with you. They likely will be counting on us to flee somehow, but they don't know how and are unlikely to see all potential possibilities. People, even magi, are limited in their thinking. If we get outside their box we win.

And I already reccomended we get Monster involved. A trap based servant is very helpful in turtling any given location. Like I said, our options involve a triple turtle. They have to get past all 3, and we already have assassin on our side so it ain't bloody likely they'll get through them all undetected.

A good point. Yes, we should go Iron Man/Space Marine on this. Sorry, I just love me my mechs. We couldn't make something as broken as Xenogear anyway.

For next thread I suggest we contact Rook and Monster and ask for that leyline as a base which we will turtle the fuck out of. Doesn't even have to be obvious Kayneth style Atelier as just having it gives us the ability to summon another meguca without draining Coobie. 3 megucas can take an enemy servant methinks. That in itself is a good turtle.

Convince them that the tech route is the best option and that they need us alive for it to work. That gets us monster as our bodyguard and she can take a Knight class given her stat sheet. She's like an Uber Assassin, that can win.

Need also grill Coobie asap, he can get past Information Erasure due to godly Mental Pollution. He'll give us the last pieces of info to figure out Tomoko's got Jack as her servant. Need also get his name too, it's about time we learn who our "ally" is.

But the servant dream indicates he comes from the original Madokaverse, not the Madokami one. This is both good and bad. Good, because that means Homura has time stop, which is all kinds of broken. Bad, because that means any wishes mean witches. Homu was cool with QB after Madokami because yes, he is amoral, but now the girls aren't totally and completely FUCKED if they contract with him.

Before that? Hate, so much hate. But after Madokami? He's a dick, I can deal with dicks.

Believe me, if she had a way to truly kill Coobie she'd have done it yesterday! And what do ya know, in this world, she does. How? Kill. US! Thus, we're fucked if she finds out we made megucas with him.

I'm all for a good REJOICE!, but Homu Homu is our best bet for winning the war. I want her on our side if push comes to shove. That means no rejoicing. She's a one woman army, let's see any servant survive 30 pipe bombs instantly laid at their feet.

You misunderstand.
She sees him as an obstacle. But she doesn't hate him because she knows his reasons. Look at her interactions with the fucker - She's absolutely fine as long as he isn't trying to pull any shit.

Anyway, this QB actually came from *both* timelines. When we asked him about the wish mechanics he talked about the diverging systems due to the rewrite.
He's atemporal, just like original Archer.
