Yesterday on Predator Quest:

You are Three-Claw, a Yautja suckling of the Cloud-Viper clan. Through cunning and honour, you have passed the hunter ascension trial suffering only minor wounds. You bought back one warrior drone head, one warrior drone tail, and one runner drone tail as trophies.

You are not quite a full fledged hunter yet, however. There is still the ascension ceremony, when you will receive the dreadlocks of a Clan Hunter.

It is the day after. You are now sitting in your lodge. The door hisses, and your Mentor, the ancient warrior Jackal-of-Carrion, steps in. He lays your trophies out one by one on the floor.

"I have verified them with the Elders. Not bad. I have cleaned them for you." He clicks. "I should remind you that trial-trophies make excellent gifts to your elders. I would suggest you pay the Matriarch a visit. It could prove... a wise investment. I'll see you tonight for the ceremony."

He turns to leave.

Do you:

A. Offer him one of your trophies as a gift
B. Bid him farewell
>>
>>24329663
We have three, right? One for him, one for our Mother, and the biggest for the Matriarch.

Welcome back op!

This we must offer our gifts respectfully. Warrior tail for our Mentor for teaching us to fight. Runner for our Mother for giving us life. Warrior head for respect for the tribe and the Matriarch.

You bid him to wait.

"Mentor, I would like to offer you a trophy as a gift. I thank you for your gift of skill. I would have died in the trials otherwise."

The ancient warrior-hunter gives a throaty click. "Is that so? Well, I am honoured, young one. I accept your gift. Now... which one of these would look best on my wall?"

A. Offer him the runner drone's tail.
B. Offer him the warrior drone's tail.

>B. Offer him the warrior drone's tail.
You pick up the warrior drone's tail and offer it to him.

Your mentor makes a gesture of gratitude and picks up the trophy. "This one was quite large, wasn't it? Well done. Well, I suppose I'd be a poor teacher if I didn't give you something in return."

He clips the tail to his belt.

"That combi-stick which I told you was on loan for your trials? Keep it. I've got a better one anyway. Think about my advice. I'll see you tonight."

You bid him farewell.

You flip through your wrist computer and notice a message from your mother, extending her congratulations. You also see a message from the Clan Council, who deposited 50000 credits to your name, as reward for completing your trials. You now have 57000 credits total to your name.

You should now decide what to do next.

A. Go see your mother.
B. Go see the clan Matriarch.
C. Visit the market.

>B, Mother can wait and she will understand.

You take your trophies, put on your best ceremonial harness, and make your way to the central palace.

You make your way to your village's airlift platform and book a seat on one of the shuttles. An hour later, you find yourself flying above the Administration District.

Here is the heart of the planet Yautja Tertius, where all of the clans' matriarchs and political representatives work. It is not a very comfortable place for a youngling male.

You make your way to your clan's palace gates. The entire structure is imposing in size. Murals of your clan's long history adorn its outer walls.

"Here to see the Matriarch?"

"Yes."

"Business?"

You respond:

A: "I am here to offer her my trial trophy."
B: "I am here to show my respect to the matriarch of my clan."
C: "I am here to discuss my future in this clan."

>>24330476
Despite writing this I feel that giving such meager trophy to the matriarch could put us in for an ass-kicking honestly, *every* warrior has probably offered her tribute from the hard-meat, and while our warrior-drone head was big... its got nothing on something like a predalien, or a queen.

Just an aside though.
>>
>>24330570
It is still a large sign of respect and very symbolic in a largely honor based society, its the thought that counts
>>
>>24330570

I think it's mostly the fact that he's offering his trial kill. His first. That probably lends it a bit more weight.
>>
>>24330605
Aye.

I just wish we coulda gotten those three Runner heads we knocked into the canyon.
>>
>>24330464
>>B: "I am here to show my respect to the matriarch of my clan."

"One moment." The guard turns and communes with his wrist computer.

The doors hiss and open, revealing a long hallway filled with trophies and works of art. At the end is another large gate.

"Go right on in."

You gesture thanks, and proceed forward. You take some time to marvel at the eclectic collection of trophies gathered from the annuls of your clan's history, and make your way to the second set of gates. They hiss open at your approach and you find yourself standing in a large rotunda.

In the middle is a small dias surrounded by brilliant panels of holo-screens, each displaying fast scrolling marquees of numbers and characters too fast for you to read.

Standing on the dias is your Matriarch. She notices your approach and removes her mask. The holo screens fly off to one side, allowing you a full view of the Matriarch. She is ancient, regal, and terrifying.

"Three-Claw", she calls you, "Congratulations on your trials. One more fit and able hunter for the clan. I was going to discuss certain matters with you after the ceremony, but now is as good a time as any. But first, what business do you have with me?"

Do you:

A. Immediately offer her the drone warrior head as a gift.
B. Ask her what matters she wanted to discuss first.

>A. Immediately offer her the drone warrior head as a gift.
>>
>>24330637
A) Take knee and lower your head as you present that of the warrior drones - pomp and ceremony first (somehow i get the feeling that maybe we should have done this in front of the rest of the clan at the ceremony).

Then ask her of her concerns.
>>
>>24330689
>walking out on the Matriarch
Shit nigger what are you doing
>>
>>24330637

A, she prompted us for our business, which will be a quick matter. We can proceed to B immediately after.
>>
>>24330657
A. Immediately offer her the drone warrior head as a gift.

You bow and make the gesture of respect. You take the warrior drone's head from your belt and offer it up with both hands. "I offer this trophy to you, Matriarch of clan Cloud-Viper, in reverence and in honor."

The Matriarch bids you to stand, and take the trophy from your hands. She examines it carefully. "An excellent specimen. A fitting gift. I am honoured, and I thank you."

She taps her wrist computer, and a young female aide approaches.

"Take this to my personal trophy room and mount it."

"As you wish, Matriarch."

She takes the trophy and exits.

The Matriarch turns back to you.

Her question is sudden and unexpected.

"What do you expect your role to be as a hunter in this clan?"

You think for a moment.

Do you answer:

A. "I will hunt on many exotic worlds for the rarest trophies in glory to the clan."
B. "I will be the eyes and ears of my clan to seek out new worlds and new hunting grounds.
C. "I will carry out your will, and provide blades where they are needed."

Well this is interesting. Our mentor wanted us to win favor with the Matriarch, but do we want to be whatever the Matriarch is doing at the moment (and will she believe the slight flattery)?

B is the safest answer, we can transition into more C territory as the conversation continues.

I'm a bit more inclined to being our matriarchs 'practical problem solver' given that a lot of young-bloods are dumb as a sack of bricks and hopped up on way too much of whatever passes for testosterone amongst yaujta.
>>
>>24330817
>>B. "I will be the eyes and ears of my clan to seek out new worlds and new hunting grounds.

"An excellent answer. Yes, perhaps Jackal was right about you. You see, young one, too many males these days think hunters are all about glory and the thrill of the kill. Now, glory is important, and is the cornerstone of our culture, but the Yautja empire is not built from trophies.

"We train you and give you these skills so that you may use them to achieve greater goals for your clan and people. You are a hunter. You hunt, but while you do, you see, and you hear. What you see, what you hear, your entire clan and by extension, the entire empire sees and hears as well."

She clicks in approval.

"I asked Jackal-of-Carrion, your mentor, to perform a hunt for me. I did this because he is intelligent and capable. However, he has declined, citing old age. He did recommend you go in his stead. His praise for you was... strong. Now I must ask you, and I need you to answer me truthfully. You will be alone in this hunt. It will be on a world which you will have never stepped on or studied. Are you confident enough in your skills to perform this task for me?"

You answer:

A. "Yes, Matriarch, I am."
B. "I am unsure. I am still inexperienced."
C. "I would need more information to give an answer."
>>
>>24330929
Nah I think it actually may factor into our potential future hunts. Also C is pretty kiss ass

True, so basically it comes down how we present ourselves to the Matriarch. I think we want to be in the favor of the Matriarch at the moment, and putting on a headstrong persona doesn't seem to be the way to impressing her.

>Hesistation is a sign of weakness and cowardice - we're not going to decline this anyways so whats the point in displaying weakness.

Be honest, we were likely all going to accept it anyways, why display weakness, fear and uncertainty to our MATRIARCH when we knew we were going to do what we were asked anyways, it's angsting for the sake of angst.

On it, you see a familiar prey from your textbooks. You recognize it as... human.

The Matriarch taps the air.

"That is human. Our species have had... a long history. You have studied them, yes?"

"Yes, Matriarch."

"It has been many aeons since they have made our hunting lists, but we have kept a keen eye on their progress. Tell me, from what you know, what is your assessment of the human?"

You answer

But I mean, hunting Alien is an initiation ritual, and I'm pretty sure plot armour aside humans are easier than those. There's a difference between giving your prey due caution and just being a pussy.
>>
>>24331327
Aliens are cunning, but not truly intelligent - at least in smaller hives without queens.

Humans however are both cunning and intelligent, they also *love* firearms.
>>
>>24331327
Its a different sort of danger. The Aliens are more dangerous in general, but they don't have anything approaching the lethality of, for example, a well-concealed sniper putting a bullet through your skull from two hundred yards.
>>
>>24331327
Think of it this way. A group of hunters going after a queen dont care about the drones. A group of hunters out to bag a human trophy, well... Very rarely en-mass does that work. And when it does, its always a glorious hunt.

And often enough the singular hunters will lose completely.

>>A. "They are cunning and honourable. Some are even good hunters in their own right. They are worthy prey."

The Matriarch gestures in approval. "That they are. Now look at this." She taps her wrist computer again and the screen shows another picture.

It is the "W" insignia of one of the human clans.

"We recognize this human clan from past encounters. They are fond of tampering in knowledge beyond their means. Recently, we have detected a small fleet of their ships heading for the planet Sey'lenn. That, by the way, is old tongue for "Living Jungle".

We are unsure of their intent.

C. Could you also make the "bravado" options a little less... well bravado? Clearly the Matriarch is at least somewhat worried about the humans, saying their absolutely no threat clearly contradicts the current situation. Like "They are fragmented and broken. What makes you think they're a threat?". Still shows you think they're no threat from what you know, but leaves an opening for new information to correct that view without looking like an overconfident dumbass.

She taps the screen once more and the display changes to the surface of an alien world.

"This is Fey'lenn. The humans have a name for it as well." She clears her throat. "Pan-do-rrrrah."

"The humans have had previous contact with this world aeons ago, but whatever transpired resulted in their withdrawal. Now, this Weyland clan is going for a second try, it seems, and I want to know why, especially if our Black-Prey are involved."

She taps her computer and the screen flickers, to show a panoramic view of the planet's surface, along with its native wildlife.

"Our clan has hunted on this world before, and the knowledge should be available in the archives, but the presence of humans will complicate matters. Use stealth and cunning as your primary weapons. Now... I ask again, are you confident enough to seek this world, and use your eyes and ears in service of your clan and your people?"

You say:

A: "Yes, Matriarch. I am confident and stand ready."

>A: "Yes, Matriarch. I am confident and stand ready."

"Good." She pauses for a moment. "I want you to know that I am sending you in honour and respect of your mentor. In perfect honesty, I would have preferred to send someone more... veteran. But I have never doubted Jackal-of-Carrion's advice and I won't now. If he says you are the prime choice, then you will be chosen."

She gestures towards the door.

"Enjoy your ceremonies, young one. It is a once in a life-time thing. Afterwards, go visit the quarter-master.I have asked for some gear to be reserved for you. You'll also need a ship. I have arranged this for you. Go to the Shipyard at your leisure. Once you have done all this, I will find you after the ceremony."

You click in respect, and bid your Matriarch farewell.

A. Go see your mother
B. Go to the market
C. Go to the shipyard
D. Visit the armory

Females hold the political power and respect. You give homage to your mother and Matriarch in societies like that. Ancient male Predators are also highly respected, as we see in the end of Predator 2 (if we assume those guys male) but I imagine they're more of field officers or something akin to them.
>>
>>24331820
Mother first.

>>24331871
Why would we go shopping before visiting the armor and knowing what we're getting from there - we go shopping *after* we visit the armory.
>>
>>24331831
The Na'vi were pretty militantly anti-tech. They don't need it, creating it would only risk damaging nature, and they have absolutely no reason to want to go off-planet.
>>
>>24331901
I think we have to give back whatever we get from the Armory, where as we keep what we buy. OP would need to confirm this though.

>>
>>24331896
I believe it's usually the males that go out to do the hunting, as part of their reason for doing so is to not only gain respect and honour, but to show themselves worthy of getting a mate.

Remembering, of course, that Predator females are a fair bit larger than their male counterparts - males have been known to die during breeding.
>>
>>24331820

A. MUM WILL BE SO PROUD
>>
>>24331932
>males have been known to die during breeding.
Good. Perhaps the threat of death by snu snu will keep our minds on the objective and not on getting into whatever Yaujta females wear.
>>
>>24331970
While males can be genuinely afraid of females during breeding time, they also have a genetic imperative to pass on DNA - its kind of like being in a pack of hyenas
>>
>>24331846
>>A. Go see your mother

You decide to visit your mother. You catch a shuttle to the other side of the district and head up to her office. You find her sitting in front of a holo-screen filled with what looks like the clan's finances.

She looks up and emits a slight howl. "Congratulations, son. Three trophies. Even better than your father's trial so long ago, may the Great Hunter keep his soul."

She bids you to sit.

"Son... I am happy for your success. Now, we can discuss your future. I want to enroll you for warrior training - chief warrior training. I want you to study further to become a leader of warriors..." She continues on about her plans for your further training.

Do you:

A. Let her finish.
B. Interject and tell her of your mission from the Matriarch.
C. Interject and offer her your final trophy.
>>

>>A: "Yes," and explain everything in detail.

You recount your conversation with the matriarch.

Your mother clicks in concern once again.

"It is quite a honor," she speaks slowly. "But it is also dangerous. Well, I suppose your mind is made up?"

"Yes, mother. I have already committed to the Matriarch."

You take the last trophy from your belt and offer it to your mother.

Your mother looks at it, and says, "Oh. I'm honoured, son, and happy at the thought. But you should save this and give it to the ship-master or the quarter master. They will make a greater effort then to prepare your gear and ship. I am pleased enough with the gesture."

You take your mother's advice and clip the trophy back on your belt. Your mother is silent for a moment, lost in thought.

You hear the door behind you as an aide walks in. "Executrix, your meeting..."

"Not now. Cancel it." Your mother barks. The aide bows and quickly scurries out. She turns again to you. "How long before you go?"

You think for a moment. "Two, at most three days."

"Then you don't have much time." She takes a holo-key from her desk and puts it in your hand. "This is my archive access card. Go to the archives and access databox 5553-9."

She pauses, again.

"Do you know where your father died?"

"No, mother. All I know is he did not return from his last hunt."

"He died on Fey'lenn. Now you know. Go. You have work to do."

With that, she bids you a harsh and quick farewell.

The aide leads you to a well lit but secure room. She brings a large, metal box and places it on the lone table in the middle. She bows, and leaves, closing the door behind her.

You take the holokey and insert it into the box. The case hisses and opens. Inside is a small databox. You link it to your wrist computer, and a holo-screen flickers into existence before you.

It's the record archive of your father's ship, which returned on autopilot upon his death.

You sift through the contents until you find the audio recording of your father's mask. You hear the final moments of his life. There was a screech, a desperate howl, and the beeping countdown of his wrist device. Then, silence.

The screech was what stuck in your mind. You've heard it before. It is familiar to you. It is the screech of a black beast.

Un-nerved, you take the databox with you and walk out.

The quarter master takes the gift and examines it. "Well, now, clever one. You think this will buy my favor and get you better gear... well, you're right. Thank you. Follow me."

You follow her lead, and she brings you a small alcove. She punches a few keys and the doors hiss open to reveal a small weapons locker.

"My private collection. High quality gear; customized by me. Better than the usual batch. Pick one. JUST ONE, unless you've got another trophy somewhere."

You look at the array of weapons before you.

Do you pick:

A. A custom Plasma Pistol - this one has a much higher rate of fire than the usual one, and is likely to drain your energy in a few seconds; but the yield is much higher and damage potential is immense.
B: An expando-tip attachment for your combi-stick. It fits neatly to the tip of your blade and will expand violently when triggered. It runs off your energy pack.
C: High-yield plasma caster - unlike a regular plasma caster, this one is heavier and has much higher yield than the usual one, but is slower in tracking. The energy drain, surprisingly, remains somewhat the same compared to the normal one.

>C: High-yield plasma caster - unlike a regular plasma caster, this one is heavier and has much higher yield than the usual one, but is slower in tracking. The energy drain, surprisingly, remains somewhat the same compared to the normal one.

You take the plama-caster and examine it. The craftsmanship is excellent, but the entire unit feels quite a bit heavier than what you're used to.

"Good choice," the quartermaster tells you. "Now, the rest of your gear. The armory is to your left just down the hall. Generally, you'll need to be supervised, but since you've paid your bribes, I'll let you run amok in there and take whatever you like. Only rule is - don't come out with more stuff than you can reasonably hold or wear." With that, she bids you towards the armory.

>4. Gadgets

You decide to pick your gadgets first.

You walk in and find an array of accessories. First up, you'll need to pick your mask.

A. The Scout Mask - A lightweight mask with a set of built in vision modes designed primarily for scouting. The mask focuses heavily on image analysis and terrain tracking at the expense of durability. It has adequate tracking speed at all ranges.
B. The Duelist Mask: This mask is extremely durable and features high response time built to improve melee reflexes. It's capable of tracking individual movement of limbs and automatically predict incoming blows. However, this comes at an expense of vision range. It is unable to resolve images far away.
C. The Ranger Mask - This mask excels in tracking and ranged combat. A built-in ballistic computer offers extremely fast response time for plasma-caster tracking. It does this by sacrificing tracking speed at close ranges, and will not aid the user much in melee combat.
>>
>>24333200
C Ranger mask. We're cunning and can manipulate the battle to take advantage of our already superior ranged capabilities.

We're headed onto a relatively unknown planet crawling with hostiles - I'd rather have something that allows us to get accurate lay of the land with no penalties other than 'dont get hit in the face' than something that provides slightly more benefit to ranged at the expense of 'dont get into close combat'.

More vision modes is better on new territory too. Remember we asked to be the eyes of the clan, not some glorious hunter.

>A Scout's Mask.

You take one of the Scout Masks from its stand and try it on. The mask links itself to your wrist computer and boots up. You cycle through the imaging modes and verify the position tracking system is accurate.

Now, you turn to the discs.

A. The Smart Disc - a disc designed to be thrown rather than used in melee. It features an extremely advanced tracking and propulsion system that interfaces with your mask. It's capable of tracking your target and returning to your hand mid-flight with a recall command. It has the fastest flight time out of all the discs. Will not work without energy.

B. Flensing Disc: This disc is easy to conceal but reveals a set of sharp blades when activated. It excels in cutting down unarmored targets but loses its effectiveness against armor. It is excellent in tracking the enemy but has a slow flight-time. It is also capable as a melee weapon. Can also be recalled, but may be difficult if it becomes stuck in some surface.

C: Reflex Disc - This disc is designed to perform well both when thrown and in melee. It has relatively fast tracking and projective speed, and can be recalled relatively easily. It is heavier than the other two discs, and because of this, its range when thrown is reduced.

You take one of the reflex discs and weigh it in your hands. It feels heavy, but balanced. You take a few practice swings and find it very responsive.

Now, for your belt:

A. Set of 10 throwing blades. Small, disposable, sharp.
B. A Clip-on battery - provides excellent emergency power at the expense of extra weight. Can be recharged from your ship's power source.

You make your way to the ranged weapons storeroom and glance around.

You already have a plasma caster, but you'll need a long gun.

Your choices are:

A. Spear gun - this weapon fires a light but resilient forked spear over long distances. Its accuracy is boosted by the mag-scope, which also links up to your mask's imaging system. Perfect for taking enemies out at long range.
B. Spear Carbine - A shorter ranged version of the spear gun. This weapon fires 3 dense spears in rapid succession. It lacks the range of the usual spear gun, but can punch through anything at short range.
C. Net-gun: A short and stocky gun capable of firing a net-ball which extends to entwine its target in sharp, razor netting. On command, the net can constrict and slice its victim to pieces.

B. Burst Plasma Pistol - A semi-automatic plasma pistol which launches smaller plasma pellets in a flat trajectory that's extremely effective against un-armored targets. Runs off of armor energy, but may also take specialized plasma clips.

>B. Armors
You step into the armor storeroom.

From here, you'll need to select your battle-plate, your power pack, and your cloaking system. Wrist-nuke is complementary.

First, you'll need to pick out your battle-plates from the three standard classes.

A. Light Armor - A light set of harnesses which allow for complete mobility without hindrance. A thin plate covers your back and two sets of guard plates cover your knees. The armor is completely silent when moving and shaper-sole boots allow you to move without leaving footprints. It also comes with climbing gloves which allow your palms to adhere to practically any surface. Drains little energy when cloaking.

B. Medium Armor - The stardard issue armor of the hunter-warrior. It has two large armored plates covering both your chest and your back, and a set of leggings and bracers which partially cover your legs. Your arms are exposed to allow for maximum movement. It allows you to run at full pace, but will make climbing somewhat difficult. Drains a standard amount of energy when cloaking.

C. Heavy Armor - You are encased from head to toe in heavy plates and no part of your body is exposed. It can deflect even the toughest blows and has actuators built into the joints to immensely magnify your strength. The actuators will allow you to run even faster than your normal pace, but makes you less agile when changing directions or dodging. Drains energy quickly when cloaking.

You pick up the pieces of the light armor and put them on. You feel almost no weight to them, and the shaper-sole boots makes you feel like you're standing on thin air.

Next, you look over the power back packs.

For reference in terms of power units, our clip on battery holds 20. A fully charged up plasma-caster shot from our heavy caster eats up 2.

A. Scouting pack - a light backpack which holds 60 units of energy, but comes with a fusion charger that continuously recharge it. The charging rate is 5 energy units per hour.

B. Endurance pack - This pack holds 200 energy units, but can only be charged from your shipboard powerplant.

C. Flash power pack - A specialized hunter's pack which holds only 4 units of energy maximum, but sports dual fusion boosters which recharge one unit per minute.

>A. Scouting pack

You take the scouting back and slide it around your back. You link your mask to its power sensors and run a quick diagnostic. Everything looks excellent.

Now, you turn to the cloaking systems. You do note that any water or liquid splashing against you will temporarily disable your cloak.

A. Chameleon system - Provides excellent cloak on both the light and thermal spectrum, making you virtually invisible. It has excellent energy efficiency, but does not compensate well for movement. When you move while cloaked with this device, your enemies can easily pick you out from the shimmer.

B. Ghost System - Very energy hungry, but offers almost perfect cloaking when both moving and standing still. However, the longer you spend cloaked with this system, the hotter it gets, giving you away on thermal imaging.

C. Spectre Systems - Designed originally for industrial purposes, this cloaking system is not designed to compensate for movement but drains almost no power and provides perfect cloaking when standing still. However, even modest movement will bring you out of cloak. It has the added advantage of allowing you to project the cloaking field to an inanimate object a short distance away from yourself.

Xenos can see straight through cloaking anyway, and I'm sure most native animals in Pandora don't hunt by using their eyes.

>A. Chameleon system

You take the Chameleon cloaking system and strap it to your left wrist.

It's done. You are fully armored now. With nothing left to do here, you return to the armory and enter the Melee Weapons store room.

In it are a vast array of blades.

You pace over to look at the wrist-blades selection.

A. Hunting Blades - Twin, short, retractable blades designed to be worn on each wrist. They are extremely sharp and effective, though the reach is rather short. This, however, is compensated by their light weight.

B. Falcon Blades - Two long, thin, spiked blades which are almost an arm's length long. They have excellent reach and brutal stopping power, but they cannot be retracted and may interfere with the usual movement.

C. Claw Blades - Three pronged blades arrayed in a fan on each wrist. These blades are excellent for slicing and horizontal movement, and may be retracted when not needed. They have slightly longer range than the hunting blades, but are not as agile and quite a bit heavier.

I'd think about C, but we're pretty decked out on heavy shit as is.

>A. Hunting Blades
You pick up the Hunting Blades and strap them to your wrists. You flick your fingers to extend the blades. They are sharp, and finely honed. You retract them with another flick.

You come to the combi-stick stand.

Though you already have one, and it is likely of a finer quality than the ones on display here, you may nonetheless choose to switch it out for a heavier model.

Do you:

A. Keep your current lightweight, telescopic combi-stick

or

B. Switch it out for one of the heavier, non-telescopic combi-sticks capable of more force at the expense of weight?

>A. Keep current spear.

You keep your current combi-stick and walk away from the storeroom. You thank the quarter-master, who then wishes you good hunting and sends you on your way.

We take inventory of our gear.

ARMOR:

Light Armor - A light set of harnesses which allow for complete mobility without hindrance. A thin plate covers your back and two sets of guard plates cover your knees. The armor is completely silent when moving and shaper-sole boots allow you to move without leaving footprints. It also comes with climbing gloves which allow your palms to adhere to practically any surface. Drains little energy when cloaking.

Scouting pack - a light backpack which holds 60 units of energy, but comes with a fusion charger that continuously recharge it. The charging rate is 5 energy units per hour.

Chameleon system - Provides excellent cloak on both the light and thermal spectrum, making you virtually invisible. It has excellent energy efficiency, but does not compensate well for movement. When you move while cloaked with this device, your enemies can easily pick you out from the shimmer.

Ranged Weapons:

Spear gun - this weapon fires a light but resilient forked spear over long distances. Its accuracy is boosted by the mag-scope, which also links up to your mask's imaging system. Perfect for taking enemies out at long range.

Las-mine dispensor - A small device which allows you to configure and deploy a number of laser mines against flat surfaces. You may carry 10 mines at a time, but more may be stocked on your ship.

Melee Weapons:

Hunting Blades - Twin, short, retractable blades designed to be worn on each wrist. They are extremely sharp and effective, though the reach is rather short. This, however, is compensated by their light weight.

Gadgets:

Reflex Disc - This disc is designed to perform well both when thrown and in melee. It has relatively fast tracking and projective speed, and can be recalled relatively easily. It is heavier than the other two discs, and because of this, its range when thrown is reduced.

The Scout Mask - A lightweight mask with a set of built in vision modes designed primarily for scouting. The mask focuses heavily on image analysis and terrain tracking at the expense of durability. It has adequate tracking speed at all ranges.

A Clip-on battery - provides excellent emergency power at the expense of extra weight. Can be recharged from your ship's power source.

Ranged Weapons:

Las-mine dispensor - A small device which allows you to configure and deploy a number of laser mines against flat surfaces. You may carry 10 mines at a time, but more may be stocked on your ship.

High-yield plasma caster - unlike a regular plasma caster, this one is heavier and has much higher yield than the usual one, but is slower in tracking. The energy drain, surprisingly, remains somewhat the same compared to the normal one.

Melee Weapons:

Hunting Blades - Twin, short, retractable blades designed to be worn on each wrist. They are extremely sharp and effective, though the reach is rather short. This, however, is compensated by their light weight.

Light Combi-stick - A telescopic combi-stick given to us by our mentor.
