The guy running House and Dominion made a rather... strange decision after a few dozen threads.

The players told him they weren't happy with it, gave him a proper explanation why, and he understood their complaints and retconned a few posts.

The plot twist has more holes in it than a slice of swiss cheese. Canonically inaccurate divination is symbols that don't actually symbolize anything and seeing only clouds in a crystal ball.

There is no canonical precedent for a high-fidelity audiovisual prophecy like the one we had to be not only inaccurate, but totally impossible given the state of events at the time.

Not to mention that we have gotten 3 visions so far out of the ball and the other 2 turned out exactly as predicted.

We succeeded in our divination check when we saw our future with Maud. It would be one thing if events afterwards changed the future, but never having been in the cards in the first place? Bullshit.

Even if that's only a possible future, it seems to be a likely one: After all, it accurately predicted the battle in the headmaster's office. It clearly isn't random, so...Why was it wrong this time?

On the other hand, it perfectly explains our parents' behavior: A pureblood letting both their heirs go is just not normal, not to mention Millie's father's affection for her.

1) She's been screwing with us since the beginning, successfully blocked all communication with our parents, and somehow deceived a crystal ball.

2) She's manipulating Charles to guarantee our victory. Intending to sell the Trident in order to fund our escape from our family, she hatched a plot to gain control of both contestants: Millie and Charles.

She's doing this now because she's not confident we can defeat Charles, and wants to take him down via backstab.

The first seems more obvious, but the second fits the character development we've seen up until now.
