Summer reappeared, with four masks clattering to the ground around her. They looked like they were peoples' faces, rather generic. Isaac pulled one on, and put his glasses and the uniform's hat over it. From this perspective, he looked a lot older from a glance- but if anyone really focused, they'd notice something was off.
Then he started pulling on his uniform.
"You're heading out?" Max asked.
You nod, and rush down to the workshop. Omnissiah wasn't there, but you quickly assembled what you could. You didn't have the larger ion canister backpack mount, but you did have a collection of smaller canisters... so you slipped them in your uniform pants pocket, cradling the weapon in your arms as you made your way back up. Gae Bulg was complete.
When you get back, Rho was also dressed in her uniform and mask, with a wig under her hat. Anna was frowning.
"Should I go get my exosuit and fusion cannon?" She asked. "Or just... I don't know, small sidearm."

"Right!" She said again, and the mask changed. Anna gingerly started pulling on the uniform over her exosuit. She looked too tall, like she were stretched upward, and the hands' fingers were too thick, but it should be okay on first glance."

Theta turned around, and met your eyes. Your body locked up... and *god*, what you'd give to have Damien here. You needed it. You needed him. Hell, you needed *anyone*. You started squirming, trying to hold together your mind.

And then small compartments in the walls started opening, gas hissing out.
"Yeah, we planned this." Theta said, and itching at his nose. Your vision blurred, and you couldn't stay standing anymore, with the fire trembling in your body. "Had to go along. Sorry, kid. Take a deep breath."

Behind you, though you couldn't focus, Isaac collapsed, Anna dragging her feet as she kept firing at the security officers, her shoulders quaking. For a moment, you couldn't help but imagine peeling off her armor, spreading her legs, and...

The gas slowly started to enter your body, and everything got dizzier.

The soldiers stepped in with their sidearms, and you struggled to keep your focus.

And that's when the old, damaged exosuit slammed into the room. Bullets smashed through the plating as they gunned it down... but on it moved. With one arm, it battered down two soldiers. With the other, it raised a gun and shot down the other four, with four well placed shots.
One of the soldiers raised the gun to its' head, and pulled the trigger.

The helmet blasted off.
It was empty.
"Come on, come on, I can do this." Theta mumbled, and spread his arms.

Your boiling blood slowly started to ease, strange chemicals oozing from the skin of the others.

Theta and the headless exosuit were standing next to you, soldiers hiding behind cover across the room. Isaac, Rho, and Anna were slumped in the center of the room.

You flip on the heating laser, and then raise the weapon, and pull the trigger. A white-hot blue beam shot out of barrel of your weapon, making a loud buzzing noise
The exosuit holds you in place against the weapon's *massive* recoil, your back straining against the force. Carefully holding the weapon with both arms, you carefully controlled the ion beam to shear through the cover. The men collapsed to the ground, injured and dying.

And then the laser glanced across the hull, and a hissing noise started up- you'd melted out part of the station.
"Prioritize Rho!"
"I know!" Theta called, as the exosuit slammed forward, tackling one of the soldiers.

Rho, rubbing her eyes, sat up, blurry.
"Take us home!" Theta called.
"Mmh?"
"Back to wherever the hell we're staying at!"

"To the insitute!" The synthesized voice came from the exosuit.
You recognized it.
It was Omnissiah.

Rho's eyes widened, and she grabbed Epsilon and Anna, puffing into smoke. Then she grabbed you and theta, and next thing you knew, you were in the workshop. A moment later, Rho and the exosuit reappeared, the fusion cannon in it's hands.
Theta was panting, on his hands and knees, while Anna and Epsilon started to wake up.

I think it has to do with the concept of specilization. Concentrating on one thing strengthens it a great deal but on the other hand you start to lose access to other abilities. I'm pretty sure my technopathy has lots of telepathy to it, as well as some clairvoyency. So I can do it at a distance and I can get a better feel for what it is.
