You are a human-form gargoyle crafted of marble set to protect a small town on the frontier of the wild darkness. Your people are still ignorant of what you are, and rightfully so.
Knowledge of what you are would simply prove that they fear you or the monsters among them tempt your destruction.

Last night: Tapping into the primal power of lightning, you vanquished the Greater Wendigo in the mountains.

Taking in the soul of the monster you sought to gain more power, however you felt something... wrong.

Speaking to the recently healed Black Gargoyle, The Shadow of Evidas, you find out the madness of the gargoyles, frequent consumption of souls lead to bouts of madness and corruption.

With the monsters gone and your new.. 'friend' on his way back to his own perch, you begin to take your leave, however you feel an intense compulsion to seek out the object the Greater Wendigo had sought. Digging until day and then resuming into the night, you recovered a strange ring.

Reporting back to your town after having been gone a day, you find that Pastor Clegane and a woman in waiting within the church.

The frivolous woman is introduced as Victora Manse, the residing noble, and Regent of Hearthson. The closest thing you have to a master.

The woman offers you a boon and speaks of assigning Pastor Clegane as your official caretaker. However she requests the ring, declaring that it is indeed hers.

Awaken Gargoyle, the night is dark.
>>
back to patrolling I believe. I don't think we have anything specific planned.
>>
Unwilling to let the lady wait on her ring, you set down the Greater Wendigo's head and hand the ring over to her.

With the same fox-like expression, she observes the ring carefully.

Father Clegane's eyes go wide as she regards the object in the candle-light,"Lady Manse, what is that?"

The women appears coy for a moment, however she decides to take him seriously," Father Clegane, you should know of this ring quite well."

You speak up, curiosity taking hold," So it is indeed yours. I had intended for you or someone else trustworthy to examine it for me. The Greater Wendigo had a very strong compulsion to seek this out for its... 'masters.' Might you be aware of-"

"Why yes... How interesting... Seems that demons do indeed seek this ring. Well, it is in the proper hands as of this very moment." She flashes a disarming smile, "You haven't the slightest thing to worry your little marble head over 'angel,' keep up the excellent work, aside from allowing Pastor Clegane the grace..." The Pastor's expression deepens even further into a scowl, it seems he does not like this woman..." Of being your caretaker, I will bestow upon you a boon of your choosing. Granted, you are not a human, I may still fufill at least one of your desires, oh 'Angel of Hearthson." She says almost mockingly, yet it seems that she's serious about a boon...

I'd love to move inside the church, but I think we can get that without using the boon on it.

Getting Holy White to go with it would be nice.

Relocating inside is not related to the boon; its what we suggest to the Pastor... some copy pasta...

Stone Mason:
>"Milady, might I be able to request this boon in a later night if need be?"
>The woman flips her fan open and peers at you with scrutiny befitting of a noble, "Hmm... Yes... If that is what you wish, You may arrange this boon from me for another night. That is, if you cannot decide on anything for now."
>You see the Pastor look to you, his features softening somewhat. He seems unwilling to speak freely...

To which I replied with:
>Thank her. Bring up relocating to the inside of the church to cover up missing from the roof for 24 hours. And then take up a pose and focus entirely on wrestling the new souls until she leaves, at which point talk to Clegane and Alice more freely.
>>
>>24079228

Yeah, another time.

If there's more night left, do a patrol around the town. Otherwise, we need to speak to the pastor about getting a handle on ourselves.
>>
>>24079375
Oh. That would be a good idea.

So long as it doesn't use the boon, lets get moved inside.
>>
>>24079375
We really should. Can't 'ave our villagers gettin' all worrisome on us, no can we?
>>
To clarify a bit, the logic is we were missing during the day, if we disappear and reappear in same spot its suspicious, but if we appear in a different spot we were just relocated.

Also when I said "bring up relocating" I was referring to earlier posts where I went into more details and how its not related to the boon. The "thank her" was for giving the boon and postponing it.

Also she has already agreed to help us improve our control and has _ordered_ Pastor Clegne to be our caretaker. Both of those are in addition to the boon (since the first thing people asked for in a boon was help with control, to which stonemason clarified the above...

You give Lady Manse a polite bow," I can think of nothing I have need of this night."

Victora Manse smiles slightly before covering her mouth with a flick of her fan," Very well then, I will give you a week to decide should something come to mind. I cannot extend such a charity forever." She bows her head slightly as she dismisses you and Pastor Clegane.

"I will be going now, I thank you for retrieving this ring gargoyle, have a good night now." She keeps her eyes on you for a moment as she departs. At the door, she flips a fan, willing it to close and with another flick, opening it. The other side having changed.

She steps through in haste and the door slams shut, creaking open and revealing the other side to be the same once more.

Clegane finally speaks up," That woman and her entrances. She came here just minutes before your arrival... So, you mentioned an avalanche?"

"Yes, I had to collapse the snow-peaks to even the odds."

"I truly wish it had not come to that, trade between Evidas and will be choked. We have a river to the sea but only so many boats... And shipment from across the sea takes so long..."

"I am sorry, at the time I was cornered. I lost most of my body at a time even after the avalanche."

"And you are whole now?"

"Thanks to a soul I picked up."

Pastor Clegane chuckles a bit at that,"Ah yes... I had forgotten. Fighting monsters with monsters. You speak so politely I mistook you for human. That will not do."

"Pastor, I would like to speak with you about relocating inside of the church. I was absent the prior day, it may arouse suspicion."

Clegane strokes his light beard in thought," I see.. So if someone had noticed, it would make more sense for relocation rather than an errant statue. . . Very well, if you move your pedestal, I will tell the people this. I am your... caretaker now after all... It'll keep me from having to clean bird shit off of you. . ."

(cont)
>>
"I... am most grateful."

It then occurs to you that he had mentioned Alice perhaps being of some help and you run this by the Pastor.

"Alice... hmm.. Yes.. She is talented in the magic of the Fae. Talented in ways that would scare most people. . . However, she is rather scared of your kind. It will be her decision to help you."

The Pastor begins to leave the church, likely returning to his own home.

He stops at the door, looking at you from the corner of his eye.

"And Gargoyle, should you hurt her, there will be hell to pay."

He leaves without another word.

You sense Alice in the other room.

Also, how much xp are we at now? Still 5?
>>
Circle the town once to see if you detect any obvious incoming threats, then if none are noticed move the pedestal

If we have time afterwards before morning we could talk to alice
>>
>>24079776
[X] Rouse Alice and speak with her.

It won't take long and we may as well check on our charge.
>>
>>24079814

We chose to spend the 5 on primal heart (earthsense + big primal magic boost) and control (ability to distinguish friend from foe during berserk, slight boost to mental control)

[X] move the pedestal

We should prioritize our own security. The easier it is for us to move around the better we can protect the town.

Is it really gonna take all night to move the pedestal, though?
>>
>>24079861

No, however I included remaining within the church as there was concern for the instability of the Gargoyle's psyche.

Where better to wrassle internal demons than in your home? Which also happens to be a church.
>>
>>24079776
If Alice is still sleeping, I would prefer not to wake her--we could do that near dawn, and we can be awake and aware during day, if we or she wishes to talk.

So, moving the pedestal (muffling the sound, if we could do that) is best.
>>
>>24079861
Remember we spent a good portion of the night digging for the ring. Its not just after sunset anymore.

>>24079884
I did suggest earlier we just sit our ass down and focus ALL of our mental effort on wrestling the newly acquired souls. When we got the wendigo lord licked THEN we resume our duties.
>>
>>24079776
>move pedestal
then
>[] Fly north to check on that Troll Corpse.

BEst not to lose what little payment we have when next the boatman comes.
>>
Finally, I have the free time / lack of sleep obligation to participate in this quest rather than just reading it on foolz later.

>>24079776
>[] Patrol the town, this is a new night and you need to check for threats.
We really ought to do this, especially considering that we're not starting with a full night ahead of us, given the time we spent looking for the ring.
>>
>>24079914
Waking her just before dawn is workable... We could also try talking to her just after nightfall tomorrow.

Anyways, when we do talk to her
1. Explain to her we do not view mages as inhuman, and even if we did we decided to protect the friendly inhumans as well, only the hostile monstrosities.
2. We could have a mutually beneficial relationship similar to what she has with the pastor.
3. Does she know about fae who induces nightmares?
4. Discuss what we know of the mechanics of gargoyles and if she knows any methods or magics to reinforce our fae derived mind.
>>
Just throwing this out there again, we should try to get our hands on a piece of copper to direct our lightning with like the wiki says we can do.

If we could get it in the shape of a crucifix that would be pretty damn ballin'.
>>

Right now,

1) Move pedestal
2) Wrestle with souls and force them under control
3) copper crucifix

>>

I'm loving the idea of holy lightning.
>>
>>24080054
Yea. As for the copper crucifix, we could get one through our caretaker...
Or we could make one ourselves once we get Earth Shape
>>

>>

>>
>>24080113

>lightning frisbee

I think the crucifix has competition.
>>
>>24080137
Look, I think the cross is a kind of neat idea, but it's not at all practical. The chakrams are an actual weapon, and judging by the rest of the boatmans stock, probably -made- for magic conductivity.
>>
Firefox crashed on me at the end... FML.

Gonna summarize it.

You move the primary slab that you stand on into the church, so that you are overlooking the pews from behind the altar.

You consider what the Pastor had said about there being no god. You consider that you may see their prayers as prayers to you.

What do you think of that?

>[] Yes, I am their savior after all.
>[] No, I am only their gargoyle.

Aside, you see that the candles within the church are lit and that it has been dusted and fixed to some degree. You may want to attain wood for the villagers to speed these repairs.

What will you do now?

You still don't exactly feel alright.

>[] Patrol the town, this is a new night and you need to check for threats.
>[] Rouse Alice and speak with her.
>[] Check up on Genn, the mermaid in the lake.
>[] Fly north to check on that Troll Corpse.
>[] Check up on Molly.
>[] Meditate within the church.
>[] (Other)

In your lul, you use accumulated power to tap into the Primal heart of the old Forest Troll. You feel faint vibrations in the earth and feel more at home with natural surroundings.

Your lack of control upsets you. With this in mind you put more presence of your own mind into your being. attaining enough control to at least differentiate friend and foe should you go berserk.

Pride is for villains. Thinking like this will only hurt us in the long run, especially if we've just absorbed some evil thing that enjoys the worship.

[X] Meditate within the church.

Let's get those souls under control.
>>

While I'd like to overlook the pews from behind the altar, we don't need to think so highly of ourselves.

They pray to a protector. If there is no god above, then we must be that protector. It is our purpose for existing. Someone has to stand for them.

and
>[] Meditate within the church.

Ask Alice to watch over us, and if need be, stop us if the spirits win.
>>
>>24080313
>[x] No, I am only their gargoyle.
Maybe a cloister off to the side? I don't think we should stand right in front where everyone will stare directly at us. If we come in one day with blood splatters still on us, people will notice.

>[x] Rouse Alice and speak with her.
Knock on the door and see if she wakes. Don't just go in and loom over her. She's scared of us and that would just freak her out.

During our talk, ask if there's anything pressing we should look into.
>>
>>24080383
>Ask Alice to watch over us, and if need be, stop us if the spirits win.

That's a great idea.

If she refuses, maybe we should mediate somewhere isolated, just in case.
>>
>>24080313
>[] No, I am only their gargoyle.
>[] Rouse Alice and speak with her.
Let's speak with her (and try not to spook her) about what she knows of gargoyle psychology and then get to patrolling. I'm getting a little antsy as we diddle away time without having checked on our charges' well-being.
>>
[X] No, I am only their gargoyle.
[X] Meditate within the church.

>>24080383
I seriously doubt there is a risk of this at the moment, we are past the biggest hurdle from our recent overeating.
Unless we eat another soul before we finish wrestling the recent claims.

Also, asking her to stop us would needlessly scare her. She is not able to stop us and we are trying to convince her that she is safe with us
>>
>>24080485
>Also, asking her to stop us would needlessly scare her. She is not able to stop us and we are trying to convince her that she is safe with us

Seconded.
>>
>>24080485
You know what else would scare her? If we went nuts and tried to murder the shit out of her.

She at least has the right to know "hey, I'm gonna do mental battle, and I might lose. So be prepared that I might go insane."
>>
>>24080545
>>24080526
>>24080485

Why not just meditate in a safe spot away from the church and other people?
>>
>>24080545
1. In that case she should go hide not try to stop us.
2. If we really thought that we have a chance of losing this we would do it out of town.

We already asserted control, we are in control enough to GIVE AWAY the ring.
The only risk is if we eat another demon soul before we finish beating this one down.
>>
>>24080578
Anywhere we can get to, we can get out of. Nowhere is truly safe.
>>
>>24080545
>I'm gonna do mental battle, and I might lose. So be prepared that I might go insane.
>I'm gonna do mental battle

Where did you get that from? We're fine now, the worst has passed. We just want some Fae advice about avoiding future problems.
>>
>>24080578
We're a gargoyle that can sense life, and sense people through the wind. If we go berserk, being away from people isn't going to stop our warpath.
>>
>>24080590
If we are far from the town we are more likely to slaughter random animals and non hostile fae and the like then to fly all the way back to town...
We could even go so far that our lifesense cannot detect the town.
>>
So I'm guessing that you guys want to fly from the town and meditate? Could always go and check on the Troll corpse in the midst of that, it's rather far to the north, will that do?
>>
>>24080672
Sure
>>
>>24080672

Let's do it.
>>
>>24080672
>So I'm guessing that you guys want to fly from the town and meditate?
[x]Vote against.

Our 'episode' from eating the wendigo soul has passed. We don't seem to be having any trouble right now. We need advice about preventing future problems.

[x]Knock on her door and ask her advice.

When we talk to her, we can ask about any pressing issues we should look into. If nothing is pressing, we should make time to check on the Troll corpse.
>>
>>24080672
Well, I think there is no risk of us losing control from meditating, only from eating another soul...

But this is a good enough compromise so lets do that to get the ball rolling.
We get to see the town from the air, a bit of the surrounding woods, check up on the troll corpse, and mediate, and be away from town in case we go berserk...
>>
Just got here, can someone fill me in where we are at with this? Powers? Weakness? Contacts? Please and thank you

You shake off the notion of taking the prayers as if for yourself. You are no god, you are no Angel. You are a gargoyle and you need to act more like it.

The Shadow of Evidas is your elder and he told you what you are... A guardian, a demon, a monster, and an angel. You are all of these things.

With that in mind, you have business to take care of, reigning in the most recent monsters, and especially so for the Lord Wendigo. Despite not having an impulse to retrieve that ring, you do feel something at the edge of your mind that you could only call.. Hunger.

Not enough to drive you mad in any case, however it's enough for you to feel concern. You will not be ruled by your prey.

You pick up your old cloth, wrap it around your form and take off into the night, the wind is calm and the sky is empty.

You circle around the south of Hearthson, observing, though moreso sensing the city watch. Nothing seems inherently odd this night, though you pick up a slight nervousness within the guard.

You see that the hole in the Southeastern Palisade has been crudely mended, an upgrade from another night. It seems that it's still been rather slow work on that part and the guard is doubled at that point.

You pass the docks and the lake, seeing only fishing boats this night. The stranger arrived on your second night and he claimed to return in a week's time. He will be back upon your 8th night.

Three more nights until then.

As you pass the docks in the east of town you set your course to fly to the northeast, heading toward the place where you had slain the troll.

On your tailwind, you arrive upon the place, however not without having to take another look at it.

It looks entirely different from how it had been before.

The trees that had been rotten and pushed out of the way, the grass and flowers that had died, even the Troll's own body.. There are wildflowers and countless saplings springing from its corpse and its path.

Excellent. Find a nice spot and let's wrangle that soul and make sure it's not going to play with our head.
>>
>>24080981
>Troll fertilizer.

Interesting idea. Yeah, mention it when we get the chance.
>>
The path that it had carved of wither and rot is now a strip of fertility.

You feel as though this should indeed be the case.

The troll was a primal being, a force of nature. You can't recall if you ever sensed malice from the creature or even thought at all. It simply moved, withered, grew, and now you see this..

Perhaps... killing it was a mistake?

>[] Yes, it was a mighty beast and a part of the land.
>[] No, it threatened the town. It could have destroyed it.

You stand upon a nearby rock and meditate, feeling the earth itself, the wind, and the overall life. Having recently tapped into the Primal Heart of this old monster, you feel ever closer to your existence as a force of nature.

There are good and bad fae. There are primal monsters like the werewolf that seek out the destruction of humans... or perhaps it was retaliation? What have the humans done to the wolves as of late?

You consider... demons... could there possibly be demons that are benevolent?

You put these thoughts to the side. You cannot be distracted when your charges are threatened.

You look inward, inside of your own body and feel the presence of the souls you have taken.

From one area, you feel the ancient overgrowth of the Troll and the howl of a wolf.

From that domain, you sense the small domain of the Fae, the soul of the Banshee being the first you had ever taken.

And opposite from there, you feel the surging domain of demons, the whispers, cold, and hunger of the Wendigo being massed under one significant consciousness.

You also feel humans within the domain of the demon, though they are faint in comparison.

In your "inner" world, you may speak with, confront, or reign in any one of these souls.

What will you do?

>[] Investigate the domain of the Primal.

We could just use the fertility spell. And there is only so much of the troll... I am more curious to know if this new wood is going to be magical and attract friendly critters or the like.

No, it threatened the town and as a primal being with no malice and little thought we could have hardly convinced it to take a different path.

You delve into the surging and rebellious domain of the demon. You have sovereignty to impose...

You delve into the domain of your soul and feel the errant demands, wishes and hunger of all the Wendigo, and men that you have absorbed.

"Well... So nice to... 'see' you here, Gargoyle, or should I say, master? Hmm.. I do not believe that I like that. Friend.. Ahh, that is much more appropriate. . ."

So, hypothetically, if we first reign in the souls in our fae and primal domains which are alone and probably weaker, they will then support US and give us bonuses to rolls?

Or if we can crush the wills of his minions so he loses his bonus.

All facts considered,

1) subdue more isolated realms
2) subdue normal wendigos
3) subdue wendigo lord
>>
You resist the wills of the many and aim your sights for their master.

You bring your will upon the Lord Wendigo as you speak into your inner world. "I think 'Master' is more fitting..."

The other Wendigo surge and hinder your assault of will. The Greater Wendigo's laugh echoes through your domain of the demon.

"Nay, I believe friend is appropriate. I am master to this realm, and you would do well to know it."

You feel as though you're striking at a great wall of ice. Too powerful and thick for you to shatter.

And now, it begins to oppress you.

The Wendigo Lord strikes back at you.

You may stay within this domain and pursue this battle or retreat.

Oh, a note about the three roll challenges in this.

It's a best two out of three for overall victory. If you win one, you will lay in a strike of increased effect based on the diference, and vice versa.

I figure this allows for accountable combat and gives an even ground for the antagonist and your MC.

In the case of 3/3 win. It's moreso a well defended opposition, though if there's a high difference in values, there's like to be an attack that's quite heavy.

Strategic retreat to collect your troops an attack an enemy's flank is not "running away in cowardice" its tactics.
Remember when we "ran away" and seperate 5 wendigo underlings? how about when we ran away to come back riding an avalanche? Or when we ran away from that screeching fae and came back with a silver candle? etc.

You repel the converging consciousnesses within the domain of the demon, retreating and backing out as the Wendigo Lord echoes out through the inner realm with laughter.

"Do well to know your place! ... Friend...." The Lord whispers as you leave the realm of the demon, only to see it begin to spread further and begin to spill over into the other two domains.

It seems you've uncorked something, or the Lord Wendigo has decided to take a true offensive upon you. Either way, it would be prudent to make haste in reigning the other domains. . .

You look between the domain of the Fae and the Primal. It is a tough decision, your mind over your body.

But with a glance at the creeping domain of the demon, you enter the domain of the Primal.

Around you, you feel the same peace and tranquility as you felt outside of your body. THe earth, wind... The forces of the earth.

The Werewolf from your first night and the Troll from your third night exist before you.

The Werewolf appears as a feral spirit, mixed of Wolf and man, a beacon of ferocity.

"You... What is it that you want now? You draw upon my power as it is, what more do you desire, monster?"

The Troll towers over you even within this realm. It appears as a Tree with branches spreading out far and wide, its roots planted deeply. With old eyes, its spirit regards you without malice.

>>
"So long as they bring no harm top my charges, I will mediate between them. With your assistance, I would speak with them. Agreed."

The Werewolf seems to concede, "With my body gone, this is all that I may do now for my pack." The feral spirit bows its head.

The Troll continues to say nothing... and then it nods.

A small gesture, yet nonetheless, you feel its support.

You depart from the realm with the verdant power of the Primal domain reaching out and pushing against the creeping frost and malice of the demonic domain.

The frost has not yet reached the domain of Fae.

You hastily enter the warped and odd domain of the Fae.

Among the twisting, swirling energies you witness the ghastly form of the Banshee and feel the souls of two humans further within this realm.

The Banshee regards you, whispering," The wolves attacked... And they killed the boy. I tried to warn them... My children... Where have they gone? Now 'they' have entered this realm of mine." The ghastly creature stares at your inner body. "Why did you bring those murderers here?"

The Banshee seems.. confused, yet also coherent as opposed to the Troll.

"They should be with the demons, they deserve the torture, why are they within this domain, I... Oh my... Was I your... First?"

This... may get a touch tricky. The spilling energy from the demonic realm begins to spill over into this one.

The power of the Primal enters just the same and keeps it at bay.

"And now the demons... they come here..."

If they provide sound advice, it'd be like having a hivemind ADVISING THE /tg/ HIVEMIND. And we're only assholes to Demons inside our domain.. Or, and dumb Humans.

I still wanna ask the Fae her name.
>>
Seems like from all this that so long as we can muster the will to keep everything in check, we can become as powerful as we want.

I mean, sure, it might not be the healthiest thing to eat EVERYTHING, but if we play it right, it won't become a serious physical problem.

The wendigo will fall in line - once everyone knows who the top dog is, they will keep it all going provided we show no weakness.
>>
You interject into the woman's strange ramblings.

"They have entered this realm because I consumed them for what they did. You are here because, in your fury, you raged out of control. I did what I had to do to stop you.

"But that is of little importance, now. Seeking to destroy them, I consumed the souls of demons, but they are now trying to subvert me form within. If they win, they will bury this land in a storm of ice. I need your help."

The Banshee looks to you with surprise," I am... truly sorry... When I sense the coming death of the living I grow so hungry.. The ones here... Demons... Yes demons are the bad things. They seek to harm and hurt and slaughter and kill my... my precious children...

I will aid you... if only you cast those... those monsters from my place here..."

This can be arranged, you could always cast the two she speaks of in with the demons.

Will you agree to this?

"Once the demons have been dominated, I will send the child murderers some place more fitting."

The Banshee seems to smile at you," I thank you..."

She waves her and and the realm begins to quake with power.

"As the sole Fae here, I am your bastion to this realm. I think you for hearing my concern. Protect the children."

You wrench out the souls of the mayor and his wife from among the twisting domain of Fae.

You feel their terror as you crush their foul minds with the vengeance of the banshee.

Leaving the realm of the Fae, you are ready to wage war upon the demons within your soul.

The domain of the Primal has been falling back, yet surprisingly, the Fae has been holding this steady.

Despite the support of the lesser Wendigo, it seems that the Wendigo Lord is tied in terms of opposition... Nay, its being pushed back by the combined might of your mind and body.

You will now tip the balance further to suppress these demons...

It's from a natural 20 thread, actually.

Now that we've kicked the Wendigo Lord's ass, where do we put it? In an area of its own?

And where do we store future bosses, or do we not absorb them at all?
>>
The demons hold fast and begin push back the forces of Primal and Fae steadily however with your added might, the table shifts.

With a hard push, you even the field, and with the assistance of your old enemies, you balance the power struggle and with a resurgence, you push all of the demonic influence back into its own domain.

Forcing it back and further back. Smashing down whatever opposition it holds.

Riding this wave of victorious dominance, you bring the other realms with you into the realm of the demon, crushing away the wills of all the other lesser Wendigo that seek to corrupt you.

"I see you've got a silver tongue fit for a devil.. Rallying those other two realms, if only you had taken more Wendigo... Hueh...hueh...hueh... Subdue me.... and I shall serve you... For now..."

The seal of solomon is worth discussing with the father, later on.

We should ask the wendigo for general info about demons. Weaknesses, strengths, reproduction (infection, etc), notables, and hierarchies. (Stone Mason, you don't have to write it all out, we could just get knowledge on a need to know basis as we progress).

OH! and definitely ask wendigo if he knows the location of any other demons around :). Surprise, eat, subdue, hurrah!

"How does the ring work? Including any negative effects it may have upon humans."

"My Masters have spoken little of its implications. However the contracts assigned to the ring will activate should the bearer be qualified."

"I see... and what happened to Solomon?"

"His kingdom was of long ago. However it has carved the path of Humans that you see today. With the fall of God, we thought to take humans by enthralling their king. He had already made dealings with the Fae outside of our knowledge. With their aid, he tricked the lords of hell into contracts with the ring.

It was thought to have been lost, even as we took up footholds in this world to seek it out. With its power in the.... 'right hands' the major demons, my... old masters.. could enter this world once more..."

"Enough about this ring. How did you come into this world, and was the attack upon the caravan about this ring?"

The demon is silent for a moment," I came into this world many moons ago with my brothers as humans lost in the mountains were driven to eat human flesh by our kin... I was hungrier however, I required more. So I devoured other Wendigo to satisfy myself. By the time I had feasted to full... My body was great, powerful, and... amazing... The caravan held the ring. I smelled it's magic and felt that I should retrieve it."

Tons of demons get their own little hell, and stay in it - just a few don't make a plane, so they get antsy and try and have ALL off everything be their section.

Just call it 'The Troll'.

I mean, unless we get another one, it shouldn't ever become an issue, right?

Many names swim around in your mind from latent knowledge that you've taken in, however no clear names come to mind.

You give up on naming the Troll for now. It isn't all that much of a talker anyway... It's fine this way.

You tap into the realm of Fae after dismissing the Troll.

You had cast the two humans into the realm of the Demon within you, so the Banshee should be happy now... You should find her name as well.

'Oh, hello there. You're paying attention to me? How silly, especially after you've eaten me. At the very least, I was your first.'

'Yes. Yes, you were my first.'

'And you admit it. Well. What do you want?'

'What is your name? I am the Angel of Hearthson.'

'The name of your first is Cari. Do well not to forget it. Anything else you'd ask of me? Oh, and don't forget to protect the children. That poor girl...'

Sorry, I thought that calling it something which sounds like moot, means courage and looks like mut if written down (which the wolf would never find out, I assume) was funny.

Nodding off here. If I can get a consensus, I'll start next session with the next post.

I'm not sure when I'll do this again. I need to find out my schedule.

It'll likely be Sunday. I'll post the time up on the discussion thread at

Walk and talk, She has a nice name.. Tell her that.

Say that we'll talk with her later, we have some wolves to diplomasize, and we might as well check on Molly as well as we head back..
Not that it matters
