Wiping your tears, you take several deep breaths before recovering your composure. You make your way back into the cafeteria, where almost everyone had finished their food, save Rho and Epsilon.
"Well, I'd best leave now," Anna said, now wearing one of her skintight jumpsuits. You notice that this one was padded, with some sort of polycarbon plating in the pads. "If I want to get my detour to Blackreach done in time."

Rho looked up. "You work for Blackreach?"
"Used to. Why do you ask?"
"Because I know someone from there," Rho said.
"... What was his name?" Anna asked, and you felt her mind grow cold.
"He told me once that he used to be Hound." Rho added, and Anna's mind went so chilling that Jilly went visibly bluer. "I think his name was Kiernan."
"Never heard of him," Anna lied, before turning to you. "I'll see you on Heaven's Reach." She said.

"Well, then, let's get going!" You say, turning to everyone else. "The rest of us need to start getting ready as well."
"I already have all my stuff packed." Alex said.
"Yep. One of the benefits of being able to see the future is that I know exactly what I'll need and what I won't." Damien said.
"Yes!" Summer said. "I can't wait. And I won't even need sun lotion, neener neener."
"Neither will I." Sarvesh said, as all of you started your way toward the hangar bay.
"I can't wait to swim." Jilly said. "Even though it won't be in the pressure I like, I've always loved swimming."

Anna shot you a final wave, and kicked off toward Wyvern.
<Who was Hound?> You ask Anna. <What's going on?>
<... Let's just say that I have a fission grenade with his name on it.> Anna said, and slammed shut Wyvern's hatch.

>Damnit, I keep fucking up this morning. Dropping trips, choosing wrong OP pictures, and cutting myself off. Please stand by, haha.

The rest of you made your way into the shuttle, and strapped yourself in. You pull yourself into the cockpit. Sarvesh removed his chair, and strapped himself down into the location designed for him, as Jilly and Summer each coopted a second. Damien just sat down next to Alex, the two still talking- apparently they were giving eachother their impressions of Epsilon.
"He reminds me of you, really." Alex said.
"What? He's nothing like me."
"He looks kind of like you, acts like you..."
"No way."

Alex is saying Epsilon is like Damien. We're not even in that conversation.
>>
"Sure, as long as I don't try technopathy from light-years away at the same time again," You say. "Everyone strapped in?"
You got five yeses, so you nodded.
"Then let's go, Mr. Shuttle!"

You opened the hangar bay, and slammed forward on the thrust. You saw Wyvern, oriented upward the same way you were, waggle her wings at you, before blasting off into bubble drive. You wheel around the ship the right direction, turn on the nav computer, and flip the switches yourself.

The shuttle tore off into space, propelled by the incredibly expensive, powerful, and durable bubble drive. Ghastly green light filtered off of the screen, and you twisted the chair around.
"So, none of you will have overly much trouble with the gravity once we get down there, right?"
"It'll be lighter than I'm used to." Damien said.
"Same with me." Jilly said.
"Heavier than I'm used to, but my body can take a lot of gravity." Sarvesh said.
"I grew up there." Alex said.
"I should be okay." Summer said. "And I intend on sleeping in the shade the entire time, too, so I'll be fine."
"What? No way, you have to swim with us." Jilly said.
"I don't know how."
"We can teach you." Alex said.
"... Yes, because you know how tigers swim." Summer said. "Despite the fact that I have an entirely different physiology, center of mass, balance..."
"... We can teach your manifestation?" Damien asked.
"Sure!"
>>
>>24035241
"Wooo. Beach party!"
>>
>>24035241
"Tigers swim doggy-style! You can see videos of it on FutureTube."
>>
"Tigers swim doggystyle! You can see videos of it on Extratube." You say. "Woo! Beach party!"
"They do? Well, then I'll be able to figure that out! Just... not at the beach, where I can drown and stuff.
"Pff." Damien said. "Tigers do it doggy-style."
Summer's claws slid out of her paws.

Some time later, you pulled out of bubble drive, prepared this time. You slow down, approaching the orbital station.
"This is Heaven's Jewel Orbital."
"This is UPA Shuttle, Class Beluga." You say back. "Can I have somewhere to dock?"
"Sorry, we're a bit full up" The station responded. "With all of the tourists who've come to see the Ishelda colonists' grave sites. Please wait a few minutes."

You sigh, modify your trajectory slightly so you can stay in orbit, and wait.
"Alright, we're ready for you, Beluga."
You make your way to dock with the station, kicking on the ion thrusters...

And your orbital-to-surface shuttle landed not long later, on the surface of Heaven's Jewel. Fura was high in the sky, but Ys was sitting on the horizon.
"Woow. Two moons? How often do you guys have eclipses?" Summer asked, looking up to the sky.
"Once a month. And every few hundred years, you get two of them in a month." Alex said.

The shuttle personnel gave you all a wide berth, no doubt because aliens and uplifts were so rare on this planet, but you were free to do what you wanted, now. It was nearly noon here, it looked.

"To the beach!" You pull up your own omnitool, and message your parents that you'll be home for dinner, bringing friends."
"We could stop off at Coyaki on the way." Alex added.
"But I... um, can't eat what humans eat. Not yet, anyway." Jilly said. She pulled on her personacom, and connected it to her mask. "I do have a tongue right now, but no jaw or lips. I should be able to taste in the next few hours, though."
"Then we'll stop off at coyaki after that." Alex said. "Or save some specifically for you."
"Thank you!" Jilly said, and gave Alex a hug.

The beach was quiet, as this hidden gem always was, with two great rocks on either side.
"... It's been years since we found this place, hasn't it." Alex asked, looking out at it.
"It has." You say, and immediately start to build a sand castle.
"Screw sand castles, I'm going to go swim." Damien said, and peeled off his shirt, wading into the water.
"... I wouldn't use that wording, but I have the same sentiment." Sarvesh said, and followed him. Jilly just started setting up towels and an umbrella, while Summer curled up underneath them.
"It's hot here." She said.

"It kind of is yeah. But you can always manifest yourself something to cool yourself right?"
>>
"It's cooler in the water, Summer." You say, as you slowly, carefully put together your sand castle, an impossibly thin and tall spire in the center...
And then, quite suddenly, there were miniature knights patrolling the walls, engineers putting manifested flags onto the top of the towers, and repairing any damage done. From the tallest spire, a flaxen-haired princess stood looking out.

Summer populated your sandcastle with miniature people.
"But I can't swim." She said.

You check Einstein, and message Anna, but she responded that she was still busy, and would be for at least another half hour. You sigh, and peel off your own clothing as well.

Summer stretched and got to her feet.
"... I just remembered that I have telekinesis." She said. "So even if I don't know how, I can still take a dip.

The water was nice, cold, and rather salty. Summer was tentatively dipping her paws into the water, while Sarvesh was floating along. It looked like he had his legs curled up his underside... and he was pushing himself around with a crude oar he'd fashioned out of driftwood, propelling himself along. Damien sat on his abdomen, relaxing. "Sarvesh is the best raft I've seen." Damien said.
"Thank you." Sarvesh responded- then he uncurled his legs, and started to sink, dousing Damien in the water. He chuckled, and curled his legs up again, floating. Damien, spluttering and coughing, pushed himself above the water.

Jilly, surprisingly, was nowhere to be found.

But just in case something's happened, try and locate her with telepathy.
>>
>>24035741
<Jilly, are you a shark?>
>>
<Jilly, where did you go?> You ask, looking around.

Jilly came bursting up from the water, bright yellow, her wings unfurled. The strange holes in the side of her tail opened wide, and she took a deep breath.

"I'm swimming." She said, and giggled. "I can breathe liquids. I need to climb out to clear all the salt and stuff out, but I'm fine."

She kicked her tail out of the water, and her tongues came out to clear the holes, before curling back into her mouth.
"It's not as bad as this other planet, or even earth." She said. "The water's nice, and the sand tastes good."
"... You've been to earth?" Alex asked, knees high in the water.
"Went swimming there!" She said.

"Oooh. What was it like?" You ask, and splash back into the water. "Earth, I mean."
"There are massive reclamation programs going on." Jilly said. "Humanity polluted and mined everything they could before spaceflight. I mean, the centaur and nagala worlds are like that too, but humanity had it worse. They were taking apart some of the bigger cities, replacing them with towers or underground bunkers. There are a lot of people there, still, and blimps, and constant construction crews. They pretty much had to terraform their own planet! Doesn't that sound kind of weird?"
"It does." Summer said, and finally dove into the water, making splashes. Eventually, she slowly floated upward, an invisible force pushing her up.
"It was pretty, though. There's something about the blue sky, and the green grass... There was this big red bridge, though. It was like hundreds of years old. Me and mom went there for press conferences."

From the water, you will your TK to the sand castle, slowly making it larger and more powerful. Soon enough, you had a veritable fortress, with the inner walls of the castle hardened almost into stone. While you did that, you were almost sure that this might actually make good training for both strength and finesse.

Sarvesh and Damien, meanwhile, were wrestling, trying to dunk eachother. Damien didn't have a chance, yet still he tried.

And then, focusing on your castle.. you outstretch your bounds, trying to create a complex sand-drawbridge. The entire gate collapsed, and manifested engineers started trying to fix it up with water and sand.

"That is pretty weird." You say. "I'd like to visit it someday. There's so much to see, all the diverse ecology and everything."
"A lot of things have been moved off planet." Jilly said. "There are still creatures there, but some of them had been hunted to extinction."

You swim back, into the water, floating on your back. For a while, you simply float there, as Damien and Alex team up against Sarvesh, finally flipping him upside down.
Splashing his way up again, Sarvesh laughed, squeezing water out of his nostrils.
"It's been forever since I swam." Sarvesh said.
"You're not even swimming." Damien said. "You're floating!"
"I'm very bouyant." Sarvesh said.

You take a deep breath, and relax again...

Until water hits your face. You open your eyes, and Anna was there, in one of the one piece bathing suits you'd bought for her.
"You fell asleep." She said, giggling.
"Anna!" Someone called, and a giant, six hundred pound dripping wet tiger tore out of the water, pouncing on Anna, knocking her over.

The engineers had finished repairs on the gatehouse that you'd accidentally destroyed, by now.

You grin. "Haha, that would be pretty funny to see. But what would you do if he got tired of it and decided to dunk you?"
"He wouldn't! Sarvesh is a sweetie." She said.
"That sounds like a great idea. I think I'll join you. If he can carry you, I don't think I'd overburden him."
The two of you get to your feet, and take a dunk into the water. Summer mildly paniced, kicking her paws and legs, eventually figuring out how to push herself forward with minimal TK assistance.

"Why don't you just manifest a big floating platform?" You ask, at home in the water as you are in land.
"I could... but that's less fun."

"And don't furry species usually shake off water?" You ask.
Summer hmphed. "I may be a tiger, but that doesn't mean I act like an animal. Usually I roll around on a towel to get dry. I have a lot of towels, remember?"

The two of you eventually make your way to Sarvesh. He looked from you to Summer.
"Can we have a ride?" Summer asked, a pleading look in her eyes.
"Sure." He responded. "I don't mind."
>Field too long!
>>
>>24037089
With both arms, he tugged Summer up and out of the water, making him lean forward quite a lot. She coiled up on his back, barely able to fit, and then he lifted you, setting you on top of Summer's butt. Your back was to his torso's back, now.
"There, how's that?" Sarvesh asked. Summer sat up-as much as she could- and looked around.

"Woaaah." She said. "I didn't notice all the ice up there before!"
You look up to the sky, and saw the glittering ice crystals in the sky.
"That's from a terraformation issue, it looks." Sarvesh said. "They probably wanted more water in the atmosphere, and got the timing wrong, or the pressure wrong."

"Yep, it was one of those, but I can't remember too well."
"They got the pressure and timing wrong." Alex called. "And then ran out of money instead of fixing it."
You grumble at him. For whatever reason, Alex knew more trivia about Heaven's Jewel than you did.
"Got room for one more?" Jilly asked, her face all but visible from underwater. It was so strange to see her down there without her holding her breath.
"Not really." Sarvesh responded. "But feel free to hang onto my legs."

Jilly nodded, then did so, her tail coiling up over the other side.
"It's a shame you didn't see the eclipse when me and Anna were here." You say.
"Yeah, that was pretty." Anna said. "I remember starting to look for a weapon, though, since Heather didn't think to warn me."

>>
It's better if you don't know before hand!
>>
"Pssh, you weren't that startled." You say. "But the look on your face was priceless!"
Anna frowned.
"We'll have to visit again when there is one." You say. "Einstein!" You call, to the beach. It quickly flew over.
"Yes, Madam Leery?"
"When's the next eclipse?"
"On Heaven's Jewel, correct? Two weeks from now, Madam. On a Tuesday." Einstein said, his voice still pompous. "If you wish more precise measurements, it will be approximately thirteen minutes and two seconds before noon, and last nearly three minutes as a full eclipse."
You nod.
"Oh, hey." Damien said. "Epsilon just realized what he wants his new name to be. And Rho decided to keep hers."

"... You told us just specifically to keep quiet." Alex said.
Damien grinned at him.
"Jerk." Summer responded.
"He's going with Ennis." Damien said. "Well, he will go with Ennis. He's still deciding between it and Isaac, but I know where he'll go."

"Hah!" You say. "I can't fault him for trying."

You splash into the water. "Let's go visit my parents!" You call.
"Yes, let's!" Summer said, crawling out of the water.
Then she manifested her human self, and a pile of towels, using them to dry her.

After all of you pack up and dry off, you pull on a shirt over your bikini top. Damien didn't bother to put anything else on, just stuffing his shirt into his pack. Jilly didn't even bother, slithering out of the water and cleaning up her ... airholes? Breath holes? Gills? You'd need to ask her sometime.
"Ah well, I don't think they have swim suits, so they wouldn't get to enjoy swimming. Maybe some other time."
"Yeah, we could bring them next time." Jilly said.

A few minutes later, the monorail ground to a halt. It had kept shuddering and slowing due to Sarvesh's weight, but you eventually arrived at the house, coyaki eaten.
You all pile out, and then you make your way up to the room and pull open the door.

Your house was entirely empty.
"Mom? Dad?!" You call. There was no response.
"Seems they're out." Damien said. "They should get back in an hour or so, though."

"I think I'll stay in right now." Summer said, and climbed onto the couch. You pulled open the fridge and pulled out enough snacks for everyone... At least, that's what you intended. There were no snacks at all in the fridge.

You pout, and just plain sit on the couch, close your eyes, and seek out your parents.
Your mother's hand was on your father's chest, your father's head arched back, as mom kissed down her neck, hand dancing down her belly-

Everyone gave you a look as you almost leapt over the back of the couch to make your way to the workshop.
Thankfully, it was empty, so you pulled open your omnitool and got to work.

Then the door opened, and you heard your parents returning.
"I'm Allison Leery, and this is Sallanee." Your mom said, smiling widely. "We were out shopping. Sorry about taking so long."
"Now, I have no clue if any of you have particular biological needs," Your father said, and turned to Jilly. "But I do have a garden out back if you want to see if the soil's to your liking."

"Hello, Mom. How are you?"
"Everything's fine. Today was a really nice, relaxing day." She said, and gave you a hug. "I hope you all had fun swimming."
"The one who just went out is Jilly, and this is Sarvesh, Summer, and Damien." You say. "And Anna's still Anna!"
"Alex!" Your dad cried. "It's been *years*!"
She grabbed him into a tight hug.
"And Damien." Your mother said. "You're, erm, Mr. Ruste's son, right?"
"His only son, yes." He said. "And... don't worry, the apple falls very, very far from the tree."
"Oh thank god." She said, and turned to the centaur. "Nice to meet you, Sarvesh. I understand you're interested in technology?"
"More by necessity than anything." He responded.
"Do you mind if I examine your arm?"
"... Go ahead." Sarvesh said, and you heard him chuckle. She examined his arm.
"This.. is very, very well made." She said. "I'm impressed. Very impressed, actually. Thought it looks familiar... Who made it? Was it you?"

Sarvesh's gaze turned to you, and he stuck his mandibles into his mouth trying not to laugh. By this time, your father had set Alex down and sat between Anna and summer, trying to strike up a conversation.

"Why is there parts to a trid remote in here?" She asked, and met your eyes. Then she realized. "... You made this!"
You giggled. "Can you check if I instealled the coffee maker there, too?" You ask. "I rebuilt it for him!"
"... I have never been as proud of you as I have at this moment." Your mother said, and pulled you into a hug, ruffling your hair.
"Anyway, we have a pool out back if anyone wants to swim, and we have quite a few trid movies, and we bought as many snacks as we could fit into the groundcar." Your father said. "Feel free to have whatever you want."
Then she turned back to Summer.
"Well, the key to that sort of thing is to try and... focus toward something. Emphasize the things you want to bring out. Now, I don't know how this would work with your manifestation thing, but using very contrasting colors tend to emphasize it more. If I want to make someone's eyes more brilliant, then I change the tone of everything else in the other direction."

"Well, I'll be making something simple for lunch, so I'd better get started." Dad said, and patted Summer on the head, getting to her feet. "How do you all feel about grilled cheese?"
"Grilled cheese sounds pretty good." Damien said, pulling chips out of his bag with telekinesis, as to not rub cheese powder all over his hands.
"Gotcha." Dad said, pointing at him with a spatula.

Jilly came in... and she looked rather purple.
"I learned something today." Jilly said. "... Biopod juices infused with transgenes does not taste very good."
"You're transgening a mouth?" Your dad asked, and Jilly nodded.
"Well, take something sweet, chocolatey, and dairyless." She said. "And put it in your, um, lower mouth. Tail mouth? You won't be able to digest it, but you'll still be able to taste it. An old friend did that, when he got one."

"It's the biopod juices in my new mouth." She said. "My new tongue just... connected or something to my brain, and I can taste it. Blech."
She shook her head, and shivered. Your dad tossed her some long sticks of chocolate, and she slipped those into her tail.
"That does help, a little." She said.

You take another deep drought of soda, and turn to Alex and Damien. "Want me to show you around the house?"
"I already know this place like the back of my hand." Alex said. "But sure.
"Ooh, can I come?" Summer said, and hopped to her feet.

Alex made his way to your mirror, and pulled one of the pictures out of the frame.
"You still have this? Haha." He said. It was one of little alex and you, and a half dozen other kids in the background, eating watermelon. "I remember this. It was, uh... Ellie's birthday party, right?"
"Yeah." You say.
"Huh." He responded, and slid it back where he'd taken it from.

"Lunch is ready!" Dad called, and the four of you made your way back down to the dining room, where Summer was called upon to manifest seats for herself, Sarvesh, and Jilly. The nine of you sat around the table and started to eat.
"What do you guys want to do after this?" You ask. "Also, are we gonna stay for the night or leave in the evening?"
"You're welcome to stay if you'd like." Mom said. "We can scrounge up enough beds and couches for everyone."

Damien just grinned at her.

I love them dearly and I'm not an idiot, I know that they love each other and do that sort of thing, but I would have preferred to keep my knowledge of it purely theoretical."
>>
>>24039562
"I tried to figure out where my parents had gotten off to and uh... they weren't exactly running late for no reason." Maintain significant look until she figures it out.
>>
>>24039562
"Let's just say that that when you're psychic, locked doors and distance are no longer barriers to 'walking in on your parents' so to speak."
>>
>>24039562
if my parents were shopping it was for a little sister
>>
>>24039692

>little sister
ftfy
>>
>>24039692
But that's not how babies are made. If they were shopping for a little sister there'd be a lot more SCIENCE involved.
>>
"I tried to figure out where my parents had gotten off to, and, uh..." You say. "They weren't exactly running late for no reason."
Anna gave you a searching look.
"What do you... Oh. Oh!" She said. "You should have just listened to Damien. Privacy is there for a reason. And you could've just called them."
Then she started giggling, and then... sighed.
"Sorry I'm not in a very good mood for this trip," She said, thankfully changing the subject. "After what Rho said before I left."
>>
>>24039562
"I think, uh, someone like Damien would appreciate it."
>>
>>24039569
>Among competing hypotheses, the one that makes the fewest assumptions should be selected.

Assuming that Alex is a completely different class of being, a null, makes less assumptions than him just being a defensively specialized psychic?
>>

"I have learned my lesson.

And it's okay, everybody has off days, even I have grumpy days."
>>
>>24039741

"Can... can I ask you about that, or... um..." sigh.
"I'm not a good friend, am I?"
>>
>>24039741

"If you want to talk about Hound, I'll listen. I understand completely if it's not something you want to dredge back up, though."
>>
>>24039741
"Aww, s'ok."
Give her a hug.

"Do you want to talk about it?"
>>
>>24039692
HA
>>
>>24039741
Unfortunately with psychics people can't put up mental 'We're Busy' signs.

>>24039741
*Sigh* "You're not the only one..."
>>
>>24039801
I like this one, maybe tell he what we saw in our dream.

Also I'm beginning to think Alex's powers arent about protecting himself from psychic abilities, He's a damn psychic prison.
>>
"Can... Can I ask you about that, or... um..."
You sigh.
"Hound doesn't work for blackreach anymore. I chose to leave, for example." She said. "But he was forced to. Too many dead civilians, too many mistakes, too sloppy, etcetra. He was also a terrible boyfriend."
Then she shrugged.
"And that's it, really. No other way to put it into words. Makes it hard to talk about something to get it off your chest, isn't it?"
She sighed, and then splashed her way into the water of the pool, where Jilly was lying at the bottom, looking up at you all.
>>
>>24039741
"Well, I think I learned at least a little bit today about why Damien is a pervert."

Also seconding being willing to talk about it.

>>24039801
>>24039773
We probably want to let her vent a little bit before we try and make it the Heather-is-still-sad-about-maybe-being-a-bit-of-a-jerk show.

>>24039849
Make air bubble with TK.

Lie on the bottom with her.

>>
>>24039849
If its too hard to put into words you could always simply show me. I mean if you want to of course.

I dunno how else to help.

Hug her.
>>
>>24039849
"Yeah, you can say that again. Still, your reaction seemed a bit strong if his main cons were sloppiness and awful courting."
>>
>>24039920
The terrible boyfriend thing seems like an afterthought.

There's a major difference between sloppy as in makes a bit of a mess around the house, and killing piles of civilians and making major mistakes in a serious merc outfit that endanger the rest of the group.
>>
Rolled 41

Open a portal to the fourth dimension, through which we can travel back in time and allow Anna to kill the Hound.
>>
>>24039920
Noooo, we let it go this time. we wait for her to say more if she wants to.
>>
>>24039849
"If...you ever want to talk about, my ears are always open, okay?"
>>
>>24039849
Bellyflop time. Make a splash.
>>
<If... you ever want to talk about it, my ears are always open, okay?>
<I'll... keep it in mind.> Anna said. <You're a good friend.>
With telekinesis, you hold air around you, and make your way underwater, and exerted force to keep it around you.

"... I've never tried swimming from this perspective." You say, laying down next to Jilly.
"It's not swimming, it's more like relaxing." Jilly said. "The water here is clean, so I could sleep here if I wanted. Isn't it pretty?"

You look up, where you can see Sarvesh's lower abdomen, as he floated. Strange- he had a ribbed, leathery carapace, instead of anything more solid, and he had strange plates around his rear, which looked like they could move.
"... Are you oogling Sarvesh?" Jilly asked, and giggled, flashing yellow.

Summer splashed into the water next to you, swimming down to the two of you, wearing a specially-designed scuba mask- or maybe even a rebreather of some kind.
"Look what I manifested!" She said.
>>
>>24040067
"Yay! Soon you'll be manifesting entire starships!"
>>
>>24040067

"I don't even know..."

"Of course not! I don't even know where to look, Jilly."
>>
>>24040067
To Jilly "I think so. There's an awful lot to ogle, he's fit as can be and the Centaur body is just such a well designed form for so many things."

To Summer "That's so cool. Some time you should try making a machine and I should see if I can talk to it."
>>
>>24040171
no we aren't ogling sarvesh
>>
"Yay!" You say. "Soon you'll be manifesting entire starships! Some time you should try making a machine and I should see if I can talk to it."
"I will!"
Then you turn to Jilly.
"Of course not!" You say. "I don't even know where to look, Jilly."
"Aw, okay." Jilly said. "I'm curious about oogling. Certain... urges come up now and then, but I've never actually, um, oogled."
"Who are we oogling?" Summer asked, rolling onto her back underwater. "Damien? I mean, he is pretty muscular..."
>>
>>24040226
"Yeah, he acts...weird, but I think he really cares about us a lot."

Check out what Anna's doing.
>>
>>24040226
"He is, but I was actually looking at Sarvesh. I've just never seen him from this angle before."
>>
>>24040226
"Sarvesh, I mean Damien is fit, but Sarvesh could throw bears around and break rock with his pincers, low center of gravity, lots of muscle power, tough carapace, Centaurs are really well designed mechanically speaking. I mean think about all the redundancy systems, they're like organic tanks. I mean humans are probably better at throwing things and long distance endurance, but still, look at that chitinous plating."
>>
>>24040226
Marginally unrelated to the topic at hand, but "Huh. I just realized, if you had told two-weeks-ago Heather that at ANY point in the future she was going to be having submarine girl-talk with her friends the Nagala and the Tiger, she probably would've thought you were crazy."
>>
>>24040226
"This is kinda weirding me out a bit."

"Are you both enjoying Heaven's Jewel?"

"He is, but I was actually looking at Sarvesh." You say, and then bring down another bubble of air from the surface.
"I've just never seen him from this angle before."
"Huh. You're right." Summer said, looking up at him. "... But he doesn't get my engine running, no offense to him intended. He's just not to my taste."
"What is?" Jilly asked.
"Um, well, Bagheera is, but mostly girls. What about you two?"
"I don't... know, yet. Or even if I have a taste. This is the problem with only being partially transgened. Mom probably shouldn't have mixed her eggs." Jilly said. "I'll have the clinic either turn all that off, or all the way on, some day. I just haven't decided."
>>
>>24040400
"I...haven't decided."
>>
>>24040400
"I can... appreciate a lot of different things. I haven't decided what I really like though."
>>
>>24040400
"I don't think I have a specific taste, race and gender aren't really that important to me compared to how I feel about the individual."
>>

"I'm not sure yet.." and display the biggest and most evil grin we can straight at Anna.
>>
>>24040400
"My tastes are wide and varied, there's lots of good points for guys, girls, Centaurs, Nagala, I can't really narrow it down too much for you, it's more about the individual in question."

I think my problem is the opposite. Everything is umm, interesting. If it has a mind I can relate to I probably will find it appealing

>The poll was canceled, because it's anti-thematic. Everyone's pretty much a hormonal teenager, and a poll would essentially 'lock in' a choice. This way, there's no 'locking in'.

"I can... appreciate a lot of different things. If it has a mind I can relate to I probably will find it appealing." You say. "I haven't decided what I really like, though. It's more about how I feel about the individual."
"That's probably the best response." Summer said. "But I'm starting to get really cold down here, so I'm going to go back into the sun." She said. "And then lay down until I dry. See you topside!"

Summer pushed herself upward, and then Jilly turned to you.
"... If it has a mind?" Jilly asked, and then flashed yellow. "How do you feel about Anna's dad, then. Or Omnissiah?"

I would love to witness that conversation.

"So, Anna, how do you feel about calling me mom?"
>>
>>24040521
"Well, Anna's dad always seems kind of busy, so I haven't really had a chance to talk with him. And Omni, well, I might just be paranoid, but I still don't 100% trust him."

"Speaking of Omni, where is he?"

"Asmodeus is Anna's dad, that kind of removes him from the running, hitting on your friend's parents just seems awkward and a good way to ruin a friendship. But I do like talking to him about mechanical stuff.

For Nissy, I like the guy, but I'm not sure about a relationship with him other than friendship considering how much I've changed him and how I almost fit a parentish role for him.

I could work around the logistics of it, but not those bits."
>>
>>24040521
"Uh... never really thought about that, honestly. Niss would be weird in no small part due to the fact that he basically regards me as his commanding officer, and as for Anna's dad" with an exaggerated swoon "I'm too young to be a mother!"

"Well, Anna's dad has always been kind of busy, so I haven't really had a chance to talk with him. " You say, and start giggling. "Anna would throw a fit."
Jilly started giggling as well, and the two of you sat down there for a while.

<Hey, you two.> Damien said, looking down to the two of you. <Come on up here. We have charades to play!>
You and Jilly meet eyes, and then you both swim upward, Jilly's wings propelling her forward, her tail kicking from side to side.

And then you burst into air, and took a deep breath.

Today would be a rather good day, you thought.

Oh, come on! Did you have to? "Today will be a rather good day", that's almost as bad as "I'm retiring tomorrow."

You're implying we'd ever actually have sex with our clone.

We'd both strip, start kissing, and then both get a marvelous idea about some mechanical project and put on our toolbelts and run to the workshop. It'd happen every single time we tried to bang.
>>
>>24040785
Oh, you know full-well what half of those spur-of-the-moment mechanical projects would be meant for.
>>
>>24040837
Well, some of them would be for that, some would be us deciding that we needed to invent a better wrench or that naked railgun making sounded fun.

But whenever we tried to get around to using those projects we'd get distracted again or feel a need to optimize them.

If we ever did sex up our clone it would be the greatest sex the world had ever seen, optimized to an exacting degree to perfectly combine pleasure, endurance, and other erotic sensibilities.
