Welcome to Millicent Fauxly Quest.

>Before Millicent arrived at Hogwarts she was a prized daughter in a pureblood wizarding family. She has little knowledge of the muggle world and doesn’t show any fascination for it.
>Hogwarts has changed Millicent in ways she didn’t expect. She thought she was going to be a Slytherin like her bitter rival (who has become a friend) and older sister, Maud. Instead she was placed in Ravenclaw house, something which has disgraced Millicent and her family in their pureblood social circles.
>The best easiest way to roleplay Millicent is ‘Raven’ from Teen Titans, this was purely by the actions of those in the quest (and a happy one at that).
>Millicent likes to be left alone to her own devices, she has a competitive streak but also a yearning for the contact and approval of others despite what she may tell herself. She likes to be centre of attention when she has earned it through being the best at something, not out of fame or through an embarrassing incident.

Major Character Traits:
>Millicent seeks approval from her father above most things
>She has a fear of large bodies of water
>She is best friends and can tell Olivia anything

New comers are more than welcome. Previous threads can be found here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=millicent+faux

So we're getting rid of the Anti-Social Trait?
You've made no real mention of Milly's misanthropy.
>>
>>24034466
Why don't you just post Millicent's character sheet?
>>
>>24034535
Getting rid of it. It was great as a character trait before we really knew who Millicent was and how she behaved. We've since found a better equilibrium for her which I like.
>>
>>24034567
She's not as black and white anymore.

You sit alone in the library for a few minutes as you try to figure out what you should do next. If Professor Bergle is one behind all the shenanigans in the school then you’ve just shot yourself in the foot. You hold Elise close and think over what you should do next.

Are you saying that you're going to retcon it so that Millicent never had the Anti-Social trait? You'd better not be implying that. Not to mention we lose that +5 to Intimidate and Con skills.

Look for the Hogwart's yearbooks and find Nathaniel's entry to find out what really happened to him.
We'll talk to our friends about Bergle at class.

>Go find Nathanial and find out everything he knows by hiking your skirt up and fucking him senseless in a classroom, then using the post-coital glow to question him.
>>
>>24034695
You still keep the anti-social trait points and stuff.
>>
>>24034740
So you're house-ruling the original Anti-Social trait?
Or are you saying that Millicent has undergone enough character development that she has overcome her Anti-Social trait, at least as far as her friends are concerned?
>>
>>24034695
I think op is saying that millicint has managed to develope beyond the limitations of the antisocial trait through her previous attempts to make friends, ofwhich she now has two.
>>
>>24034827
Could just be they think they way we play her isn't exactly the definition of the antisocial trait, but is interesting and flawed in its own right?

With the little time you have left before lesson you decide to head down to the school entrance where a large cabinet shows the previous students at the school. After searching for a couple minutes you find an old yellowed class photo of Nathaniel with his fellow Hufflepuffs.

In the picture you can see; A beautiful girl with blonde hair and an irresistible smile that (only because you have spent the past three weeks in her company) you can tell is Professor Trib. Beside her a very much alive Nathaniel grins and gives a little wave, standing behind him is a charming looking Professor Bergle, unshaven and hair neatly combed.

There doesn’t seem to by any other familiar looking students you might know.

Now that we know what year Nathaniel died in, we can research the events of his death.
It's possible that Trib and Bergle are looking for the Trident as well, since they knew Nathaniel and might have known that he had located the Trident, and they're eliminating contestants to ensure that no one gets to the Trident before them.
In any case, completing the mannequin first and getting the Trident is the most direct method in exposing who's been after us.

We're 11, from a pureblood family who is really big into the whole status thing. We got shipped to Hogwarts, met lots of people, and agreed to compete in a contest in order to get some Macguffin.
>>
>>24035123
Thanks, this looks fun.
>>
You head to lesson. It’s a miserably wet day as rain pelts down on the soaked students who stand on the training field. You stand with Olivia, who looks like a grumpy cat with her hair frizzy and wet, and the others who are just as unhappy.

“This is good practice” says Bergle, pacing back and forth, broom in one hand and whilst in the other.

”I’ve had many a rainy day up in those heavens” he continues, a thunder flashing in the sky “those who want to do well in Quidditch must learn how to fly, and fly well, in conditions like this”

Roll 1d100 for fly. 40 or less wins.
>>
>>24035128
You're forgetting nearly getting disowned, which might still happen, that the contest (held by Nathaniel, the ghost of a Hufflepuff student) is turning out to be more dangerous that originally stated, that the Hufflepuff contestant (Sam) was accused (believed framed) of poisoning the Slytherin food stores and is presumably in Auror custody, the Gryffindor contestant said she's going to drop out after getting mind-controlled, and the Slytherin contestant is still unknown (but suspected of being Robert).

No, depending on the Seeker is stupid because it means that you leave yourself to losing due to conventional points. We already had a discussion on this, and depending on those extra points to win the game is crippling if the other team has a point lead greater than the points awarded by the Snitch.
>>
>>24035435
I first read it as already, then caught the typo on the re-read. Wasn't trying to be a word nazi or anything, wouldn't point it out except for how hard it made me laugh when I noticed.
>>
>“The house which catches the most wins fifty points to Gryffindor!”

Hmm. I believe this contest may not be entirely fair.
>>
>>24035445
And the chances of that are ridiculously high. Fred and George bet 37 galleons on it, and were rewarded with armfuls of (fake) gold each. It's not exactly likely. I admit, a good keeper is necessary. But the snitch rule not only gives an often insta win, but also determines the time of a match, which could go from a few minutes, to years, is a silly rule. It's better to replace the snitch with a clock. Especially in a game which never takes a time out.

REDO:
Bergle opens a box on the ground as a hundred or so little wooden snitches shoot off in all directions.

“The house which catches the most wins fifty points!” shouts Bergle as you all shoot off into the sky.

It’s difficult for you to maintain your balance, your hands slip along the broom as you struggle to hold on. You manage to catch one snitch right away; they’re pretty slow compared to the golden one you’ve seen at real games with your family.

Shoomp! Five minutes in and Joel’s already got a handful as he soars down from the sky and passes you.

You see three wooden snitches spinning in a trifecta up into the cloudy sky. You shoot after them without a seconds thought, going up, up, up into the heavens!

Roll 1d100.

(I forgot, from now on I will roll for every post, sometimes it will effect what happens, sometimes it doesn't)

You catch the snitches! Now all you have to do is turn back and get some more!

Wait…why aren’t you turning?

You try as hard as you can to turn your broom back towards the field but it doesn’t respond. You keep ascending towards the sky, right into the thunderstorm! You give a scream of terror which is lost in the maelstrom of the thunder and lighting which crackles and whips all around you.

You keep going upwards at an intense speed until you break through the clouds, it’s so cold and so high up you can barely breathe, the broom is ripped from beneath you…

Just saying OP, being sorted into Ravenclaw as the second heir *wouldn't* disgrace a pureblood family. Slytherins accept Ravenclaws as a sister-house; it would only matter if Maud were the Ravenclaw, or if Millicent was Hufflepuff/Gryffindor.

You try and make a grab for your wand but it’s stuck within your robes which had twisted in the wind…

Wind batters you as you fall, your stomach churning as the other students, like flies, dance below you until you fall right past them, the ground quickly approaching, big and looming.

“Millie!” shouts a voice over the thunder.

Shhhhhh-womp!

Your stomach hits the broom of a student who grabs and holds onto you as the broom nose dives towards the ground, easing the impact as you blood fills your mouth…

“I’ve got you, hold on” says Joel as he swerves and touches down on the ground.

You can’t breath, you gasp for air which has been punched out of your lungs, you convulse on the floor struggling…

“Spirante!” shouts Professor Bergle, your lungs filling with air as you breathe once more.

Your body hurts all over from the impact, you bit your lip and drew blood, luckily it’s nothing a simple spell can’t handle.

You nod a thank you to Nigel before thanking Joel in earnest; shakily you grab his arm by the robe as he pulls you to your feet.

”Thank you” you say, you would hug in right then and there if not for the other students standing around gawking at what just happened.

“I think you better sit the rest of the lesson out” he says “can’t have you flying after a shock like that”

You go by the broom shed (the same place you brought back Harriet after finding her in the forest) and take a seat beneath the overhanging roof to protect yourself from the rain.

You watch the other students dip and dive through the air for a little while until Nathaniel’s ghostly form phases through the shed.

Seeing him reminds you of just how sick you are of the contest. You want to get it over with so you can live in the castle without worrying if it’s all some illusion created by someone out to get you.

“I’m the only contestant left, right?” you say, thinking of Sam, the Hufflepuff and Harriet from Gryffindor.

”There is still the Slytherin contestant” says Nathaniel, “and I must say she has come quite far in finishing the body I asked for”

“She?” you say
“Did I say she?”
”Yes. You did”
“Well that must narrow down half of the Slytherin house for you”
“Who is it?”
“I can’t tell you that. I would, but she doesn’t want anyone else to know”
“Does she know who I am?”
“…yes”
“Isn’t only fair that I should know who she is?”
“No, because you have made your admittance into the contest clear enough for her to pick you out, that is your doing, not mine”

You try to think of whom it could be…you don’t really know any Slytherin girls in your year.

“Could you at least give me a hint of who it could be?”

Nathaniel scratches his rib cage, revealing a nasty looking wound beneath the robes.

“Well…you’re a clever girl, I’m sure it runs in the family, it would be unfair of me to give you a hint” he says.

It’s your sister. At least that’s what Nathaniel is leading you to believe. You swallow a lump in your throat and ask another question.

“Do you know Professor Trib and Bergle?”
“Yes, we was in the same house many years ago”
“Do they know how you died?”
“If they knew they would have told me. No one knows how I died. Not even me”
“But your body is somewhere in the forest, right?”
“Yes”
“So doesn’t that have something to do with how you died? Weren’t you…killed?”
“Probably, I don’t much care for thinking about it anymore, I could have died by some accident and been buried by someone else. Though why they would have left me with the Trident I don’t know…unless I killed myself. I’ve given it a lot of though, it’s all very confusing”

Nathaniel goes silent as he watches the students attempt to catch the last remaining snitches.

“…is the contest limited to first years?” you ask, a lot riding on the question.
“I have held this contest every year for the past five years”
“And no one has built you a body?”
“No one, I have been told by almost every contestant that it cannot be done, they all lose interest eventually. Except last year’s slytherin student”

“Are you allowing teachers to participate, or anyone that isn’t a student?”
“I’ve considered it, but no, however if I do not have a body of my own by the end of the year, I may have to”

“I hate spiders” you say, an image of being attacked by hundreds of the little creepy crawlies filling your mind. You ask about the holes, though you have a pretty good idea of where they come from anyway, you want to hear the tale he’s going to spin.

“Yeah, we think a couple students have been messing around looking for something” he says “though that’s only a guess…you wouldn’t happen to know about that would you?”

You remember that he knows that you’re involved in some kind of contest, and that the other students have dropped out. You better choose your next words carefully.

Sounds like this contest is more well known than we initially thought. Seems to me that everyone and their bother have tried competing in it but to only lose interest after a while.

You know... personally, I would like to tell Nathaniel, privately of course, that I would be interested in finding out the cause of his death, and perhaps finding the reason why the Trident was buried with him. I don't buy the fact that he isn't interested in his own death. After all, he's still mulling about in Hogwarts and not in the afterlife. Gotta set the fucker free from the mortal realm and all.

i totally told you guys that two threads ago and everyone was like "noOOooo, its impossible because she's not a first year!"

>>24038099

yeah, im not happy about not doing all the snitch catching (especially considering how well we rolled) but joel isn't the "main character" he's he "muscle". imo, anyway. I don't mind him doing the heavy lifting every now and then, it's good to have a capable companion we can rely on to get shit done.
>>
>>24038080
When you say expected better of her do you mean you expected her not to try to knock out the others or to do a better job at it?

Unfortunately, I think we're supposed to be his snarky sidekick.
Fuck that, I declare Joel our real rival.
We'll show him who the true protagonist is.
>>
>>24038182
>joel isn't the "main character" he's he "muscle"
But in every instance so far, he's been the one taking charge.
Granted, he's got a Charisma score pretty close to the maximum possible starting score, and his Will is probably high as well. And he probably got that Chosen One trait at character generation.
>>
>>24038597

so if he's the chosen one then he's destined for glory. That's not a bad thing. but if he's naturally good at everything we have to beat him on other fronts. We're batman to his superman. (that's the way i see it anyway)

If that's true then we're operating without a batbelt. we need tools, info on people, leverage, kryptonite, you know what im saying? You guys keep saying you don't want to be sneaky and underhanded, but as near as i can tell that's the only way to get measurably ahead of Joel. Knowledge is our power. We are Ravenclaw afterall.

then lets do some other stuff that might not require rolls. Make friends with pictures, they have ears and nothing but time, they know everything that happens in the school. We don't have to do much but say "hello/how's it going" to them when we pass them in the hall, they probably think we're adoreable. If we ever ask them for help they'll remember us and be more inclined to help than if we did nothing.

We could go through the lost and found and see if there's any interesting wizarding knicknacks we can use, or if there's any more potions "just lying around.. behind that locked cabinet."

See where im going with this? we need options, contacts, gadets, and whatever else we can get our hands on because without them we're only somewhat on par with how capable joel is, if not less.
>>
>>24038973

hell, we could probably just ask joel to go swipe us an assortment of potions "for studying purposes", i doubt he'd think twice about it. Come to think of it we should just ask for a crystal ball while we're at it.

But does either of these actions fit with our aristocratic heritage? I say it does since that's been thrown out the window ever since, well, being sorted in Ravenclaw.

It'll also give us an eccentric-flair, although, I think we already possess it in someways.
>>
>>24039184
You know, I now get the paranoid suspicions that our dear, older sister made us do all of the hardwork for her. We we're giving her the blueprints on making, perhaps, an actual working prototype of the needed mannequin.

>>

it's no less fitting than us going plodding through the woods at night for extra credit, that's INCREDIBLY beneath us (in my opinion).

Im surprised we didn't go for the theater, running a spotlight and being a techie, or even being involved in costuming was incredibly fun to me back in school. You have your own private sanctuary (the tech booth) hidden from the rest of the school and unlimited access to the building through the roof (and in my case we got full internet, not the limited internet the rest of the school got) If the chance ever comes up again im totally going to push for joining.

>>
>>24039319
Why they didn't give up on it?
Because making a body for a ghost has apparently never been done before ever.
Since there are no recorded instances of it happening. Giving up is the sane response.
Part of me suspects that the reasons all these incidents started occurring is because our sister was actually crazy enough to keep trying, and is coming close to actually succeeding.

Oh! No doubt about it! But I think at the time, we didn't know if we needed to start at the very bottom of the totem pole since, well, our parents didn't know of what the sorting hat (tg dice) did.

That, and i really want to see if OP can constructively and fluidly add on to Hogwarts in a way that hasn't been done before.

>Part of me suspects that the reasons all these incidents started occurring is because our sister was actually crazy enough to keep trying, and is coming close to actually succeeding.
Don't tell me she was trying to "1-up" us ever since she gotten into Hogwarts. I'm guessing actually finishing the mannequin must be the cherry on the top for her sundae now.

> Because making a body for a ghost has apparently never been done before ever. Since there are no recorded instances of it happening. Giving up is the sane response.

See, this, I did not know. I figure it would be possible in this setting. (i haven't read the books)
>>
>>24039440
You don't need to read the books.
Nathanial said that he's never heard of anyone succeeding.

And yes, that probably was her motivation to keep trying even after everyone else gave up.
>>
>>24039313
We took the forest job because its carte Blanche to experiment and practice with Petrificus Totalus and other hexes, something that is both in our nature and backed up by having traits for that. It also gave us an excuse to be out late so that we could work on the mannequin.
And it was an easy and fast way of stabilizing our finances when it looked like we were going to be disowned.
>>
>>24039313
> You have your own private sanctuary (the tech booth) hidden from the rest of the school and unlimited access to the building through the roof (and in my case we got full internet, not the limited internet the rest of the school got) If the chance ever comes up again im totally going to push for joining.

I shouldn't have abstained from voting that time. I won't make that mistake if such an opportunity pops up.
>>
>>24039478
Now the question becomes what are we going to do with this information. Or more to the point, what would Millie do? Do we automatically assume we've been betrayed and go back to being rivals, or do we join forces? Do we conclude that Maude the one responsible for the rest of the contestants getting taken out or do we confront her so we can pass on the warning?
>>
>>24039548
Given that she presumably saw all of last year's competitors drop out, I'd think she would know that she wouldn't have to expend any effort on getting this year's batch to quit.
And I'm pretty sure that she and us both know that we're not a good enough student to be a plausible suspect if she decided to frame us.
>>
>>24039505

That makes sense, except we're not really practicing spells (to the point we're getting better at them) and we're making little progress with the mannequin.

>>24039548
i think it's pretty reasonable to assume we've been betrayed, but if we put up a good front we can probably feed Maud disinformation to stall her now. Im uninclined to think Maud is harming other students but it's possible, she's sloppy at covering her activities so spying on her again shouldn't be overly difficult.

Well, we were successful on our first attempt. And that was without doing it on purpose.

I forget, if we assume that she's not the one behind all the mischief, what's the downside of Maud winning?
>>
>>24039822

well, besides proving her being better than us and solidifying her place as the sole family heir and recovering a major artifact for hogwarts and probably gaining some incredible celebrity for discovering a method for ghosts to experience being human again to some degree... there is no downside.
>>
>>24039822
Gloating rights and an even smarter, Maud?

I say finding out why Nate got killed and burred with the Trident is as important as building the damn mannequin.
>>
>>24039822
Since I'm pretty sure we relinquished our claim to be the heir to the Fauxley name, it'd be pretty sad if we didn't have a consolation prize in finding the Trident.
Beyond that, probably nothing.
>>
>>24039880
Well obviously.
The laws of narrative guarentee that Professor Trib's Oath that she broke probably has something to do with Nathan.
Not to mention I think that one Squib thief (and his house elf allies) are also involved in this madness.
>>
>>24039548
Consider that Maude IS Millicent's only family that wasn't ready to abandon her at the first sign of scandal. Millie may still try to get the Trident in order to prove herself to her family, but after this whole debacle she's unlikely to forgive them for at least a year.
I think that she'd warn Maude about what happened to the other contestants, and then tell her that they'll compete against each other without outside interference.
>>
>>24039904
>Squib thief (and his house elf allies)
I still don't see how all of this could add up.

Say, it would be wise of us to ask Professor Trib about Nate? Maybe get more info about his death and such? Hell. We could probably break the curse she currently possesses.
>>
>>24039671
We haven't practiced because we haven't had a chance yet.

>>
>>24039879
And wouldn't we want that for our sister? Heck, if we could convince her to let us assist her so we can have a part in that glory, that'd be even better.

It'd also allow us to concentrate our efforts more on finding out about Nathaniel and the people interfering with the contest while Maude works on the mannequin.

maud talks to nathan just like we do, she knows exactly what's going on. there's no reason to be cooperative, this is our chance to get back in the family and the pureblood communities good graces.

If we succeed noone's going to remember we "fucked up" with the sorting hat. We'll be able to go home to dad again and things will be normal again. Winning this contest is absolutely the most important thing we can be doing right now, and if maud wins it's over for us.
>>
>>24039935
I doubt that curse could be broken.
Or maybe Trib doesn't want it to break.
And asking about Nathanial could be too suspicious, though I'm inclined to think Trib is trustworthy, mainly because she seems so -un-trustworthy. But that could just be what she wants us to think.
>>
>>24040034
I think she only figured it out recently, but I'll check the pastebin. From what I remember, there wouldn't have been a chance for her to find out before she started acting nice. We might not even have been in on the contest by then.

That's why I'm for trying to work with her to share the glory. We still get some redemption in our family's eyes, but since Maude also gets credit we'd not be threatening to leave her out in the cold again.
>>
>>24040328
The trick, I think, is that we need to make Maud realize that, as far as becoming the next matriarch of our family goes, she's welcome to it.

>>

>>
>>24040328
Well, I see your point now and this has been my goal from the start. Build our own name with hardwork and finding opportunities to better ourselves.
>>
>>24040383
Have we considered that Maude might not really want to be matriarch?

Sure she may have resented us for getting better treatment, but if we take her at her word, then she willing to leave the family if they threw us out. After all those years of playing second fiddle, she might have the same ambition of making it on her own that we're just starting to develop.

This is assuming that she's not playing us, which I'll concede is a valid possibility. I still think we should try to work with her. If she's legit, then we both bring honor to our family while proving we're more than just our names. If she betrays us, then the rivalry is back out in the open and we have free reign to crush her like the bug she is. Win/Win, really.
>>
>>24040398

I had a death in the family which got in the way of this Quest. WhoQuest would be a lot more sparse and a lot more one-shot like. It would be a release from HPQuest for me which can be constricting at times. I've fucked up a lot in this quest and am looking forward to starting the second year with a fresh(er) slate. I'm going to make it a lot more slice of life and keep the plot stuff very low key.

I missed HPQuest a lot whilst I was gone, it felt like I was betraying the characters and /tg/ for not continuing with it.

Are you telling me Professor Trib was in Hufflepuff?

That... doesn't really sound good.
>>
>>24041365
I don't know, I enjoyed the quest a lot towards the beginning where we weren't completely focused on the plot.
>>
>>24041384
The plot is fine, except for when Joel took the wheel and never let go.
>>
>>24041365
There will be more quests just hanging out, going to lessons and having a fun time exploring the HP Universe. No little girl could handle all this stuff happening in the space of three weeks. My fault I know.

Well, I like where the first year has and is headed, so don't immediately brush off what you've already worked so hard already.

> I'm going to make it a lot more slice of life and keep the plot stuff very low key.

You can somewhat sort of do this as of right now (well not literally now but next time). It would give us some time to research another a few new spells, bond with other characters whom we know (like Robert), and to continue, steadily building up our mannequin. What happened so far hasn't been the climax, but some road bumps that we must face and, hopefully, overcome.

> I missed HPQuest a lot whilst I was gone, it felt like I was betraying the characters and /tg/ for not continuing with it.

For the past day I thought that I would never see this quest pop up again. Proven me wrong, man.
>>
>>24041365
The scenes with Millie dealing with her families alienation of her and the bonding with Maud and Olivia have really been some of the best parts of this quest.

Honestly, if Millie and her family situation was more well-adjusted I'd be agreeing with you but there's a LOT of potential there and it seems to be OP's strength over the more plot intensive stuff.

Also
>everyone thinking Maud is some horrible sociopath all of a sudden
>completely ignoring she was nice to us before knowing we were in the contest

Yes she is fucking with us but she also genuinely cares. Seriously, I can't be the only older sibling in this thread.
>>
>>24041430
Oh, I wasn't implying I didn't like it now, I just enjoyed those bits of it more.
>>
>>24041490
I'm a youngest, but I agree with you. Though when I checked back, there was time for Maude to find out before she started treating us well. So the sociopath thing is possible, I just don't really expect it.

Yes.

Agreed.
But the turmoil of events made those moments precious, in my opinion.
Plot served OP's cause, and so it shall be.
Without a proper plot, it would be a normalfag/boring Hogwarts girl's diary.
0/10 wouldn't read
I expect to you to make turn no-plot into a plot OP.

Have a good one.

All I want is a nice balance between slice of life and plot. I still see this being balanced.
>>
>>24041589
More slice of life would give us a chance to actually work in the projects we've wanted to do, and instead of doing big time skips like we just had, we could have been going through character development instead of fast-forwarding to the next plot point/cutscene.

So, how's it going? What do you think of what's going on thus far? Who do you think messed with our broom? Is Joel cool now that he saved us from death? Is Maud faking being nice to us? With our high body score, and surviving that amazing catch, do we now feel like we're the Juggernaut?

Fuck Joel and his timely hero bullshit. I refuse to be a part of a world were we husbandito him and get fat making his babies. I will wand myself in the face until time reverses.

As for who is fucking with our broom i still find the teacher pretty suspect.

I'm fantastically happy that HPQuest is back and I Know that feel for him/her, Losing people sucks. I also support WhoQuest even know i've never watched the show i will put in my two posts.

Things are going good for me i had to kick my friends out of my house because a week of party time is to much. I gotta catch up on Blorps Ogre civ and wait for new episodes of all my furvet shows. (dem giants in Game of thrones)

I think maud is a much deeper character then we have seen. we rolled in to having like crazy rivals and i doubt we can kill our sister off and not ruin the story making her a good rival.

I don't even think we need to lay the ground work for any relationship in the first year let alone the first month of school. Lets see who we meet and how sexy olivia gets first.

i can see where you are coming from and i do share the same worry about HPQuest falling to the wayside but Ms.Rowling thinks she can handle it.

kinda sorta. They just make messes and don't clean them up until the third time i tell them to. Gets annoying after four days.

I hope so too but its not gonna be that sunny for are little millie.
>>
The Husbandito stuff with Joel is partially our fault. When Trib made us drink that beauty potion she asked if there was a boy we liked and just about everyone went with Joel. Of course, the other options hadn't had much screen time and there was no option to just say "I don't like any one" but hey.

I'm basically considering Joel to be the equivalent of that Chinese chick to Harry. Someone we crush on for a bit and then get over. Such is the way of a preteen.
>>
>>24046808
Of course, us being the equivalent of that Chinese chick to him also seems to be a pretty accurate interpretation too. Especially how much he seems to want to be the main character.

Sounds like you have Andrew W.K. as a friend.

Well, it's been getting better. Nigel helped us out and Joel saved our kister. I wonder where Olivia was at when all of this happened.

>>24046808
I hoping this will be the case. Just a crush and nothing more. Let him have Harriet.
