Freak Quest time!In this quest, you take the role of a big armed, friendly freak, who is currently adventuring with his two friends, a lizard like freak named Joey, and a merchant named Javak and his steed Ivas.Previous threads can be found here:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=freak+questIn the last session you and Joey ventured to the upper floor of the bar. There, after some brief pheromone manipulation on a wall freak, you found out the location of your merchant friend, and ventured trough a large brewing chamber to reach him. In doing so, you inadvertently eavesdropped on a heated argument that Javak and the owner of the bar Char were having. Before you managed to announce your presence, you were ambushed by an older freak, who had been stalking you two all the way from the downstairs, using his chameleon like skin. In a quick and brutal struggle, you managed to slay the freak but also alarmed a guard drone of Char to your presence. You and Joey quickly ran, with the beast in full pursuit. Thankfully, another freak invited you two to hide in a side chamber, and thus allowed you to escape. However, at this point, your wounds overcame you and you blacked out.
>>23855496>How this works:Suggest an action and the freak will act. I will try to illustrate it as well as I can. Certain actions will require 1d10 rolls to see if they are successful. There are also slightly more complicated rules for combat:There are 3 stats, strength, toughness, and agility, in addition to them, there are hitpoints. All stats are capped at 10, and the baseline hitpoints of a gutterborn freak like the MC are 6.Attacks are handled like this:The attacker rolls 2d6.The first roll is for the attack damage, second for the speed.Damage: 1d6+str+modifiers (if there are any)- the foe's toughness.Speed: 1d6+agiThe target of the attack may try to either dodge or block the blow.Dodge: 1d6+agi vs Attack speed.Bloc: 1d6+toughness vs attack damage.Ties go in the favor of the attacker. These rules are still work in progress, and I appreciate any input on them. Here is your current inventory:>3 empty small containers.>1 full small containers (1 biogel dozes)>1 medium container with 5 biogel dozes.>1 strange syringe of unknown purpose.>Cutting tools.>Claw arm.>Improved walking eye bladder.>1 ration package.>Bone armor. You are also equipped with a bone sword.Joey has the bone knife.Introducing abilities and the energy bar. The Energy bar represents the amount of biogel, regenerative substances and bio energy the body of the freak has. Using abilities drains this bar. The bar also has another function, depending on how full it is. When the bar has green in it, reaching 0 hp halves the stats of the freak, and all additional damage is taken to the energy bar, but doubled. When the bar is yellow, 0 hp causes the freak to be incapacitated, and unable of combat. If the bar is red, 0 hp results in either extremely severe injury or death, depending on the situation.
>>23855502You are currently unconscious. There is darkness all around you. You can feel strange pulses from your surroundings, and a fetid stench of rotting flesh emanating from somewhere. This seems....familiar...
>>23855530open eyes and look around if it is not too dark to see
>>23855616You open your eyes and gaze around. There is a pile of flesh and bones near you.Red light shines down from an opening few meters above the ground. The pulsating of your surroundings continues.
>>23855652Is there any way up to the opening?
>>23855652reach for that red light, grab it and hold on to it until you crush it
>>23855723Yo walk to the wall to examine if it could be climbed up to the opening.A familiar figure appears at the opening. The figure chuckles at you. This all seems very familiar. The pulsating continues.
>>23855809wave at the figure
>>23855809approach the figure. internal dialog: What does this pulsating sound like?walking and trying to remember
>>23855853The figure waves back, and reaches out it's hand to you.(Had to go for a moment, sorry this took long.)
>>23855996take it's hand.
>>23855996Oh gosh i was so upset when you didnt make the thread yesterday I've been really looking forward to this.
>>23856020You grab the figure's hand, and it helps you to climb up to the opening.>>23856028Sorry, I have had some problems preparing sufficiently. I am still not as prepared for this session as I would like to be, but I will try to do my best.
>>23856118"Where are we? I have to go find joey!"
>>23856153I'm pretty sure that is Joey.
>>23856153I think that's joey we're talking to.
You climb up to the opening. You are at a tunnel. The red light seems to be emanating from the end of the tunnel. The figure grabs your hand and smiles.
>>23856241lets hit it, onward to red light, but with a little pep in our step.
>>23856261As you go forth, the tunnel opens up to a great bridge, looming over dark abyss. The pulsating intensifies.
>>23856331Cross the bridge >Pulsing intensifieswhy did i laugh at that
>>23856331ask: what are those flying things?Proceed.
>>23856377>>23856398You and Joey start crossing the bridge. As you walk, you point at the strange flying things, and ask what they are.Joey just shrugs and chuckles.
>>23856492Suddenly long threads from the orange things surge towards you, and start aggressively wrapping around you two.
>>23856492keep walking "whats is so funny?"
>>23856523they look frail, reel them in and pull them apart. failing that, break free, and book it.
>>23856523Smash and tear puny orange thing tentacles.
>>23856541>>23856545You easily shred the puny tentacle strands trying to ensnare you.Joey however, doesn't even fight against them, and the tentacles quickly ensnare her and lift her to air.
>>23856612jump onto her and hold on. time for a ride.
>>23856612Grab her and pull her back down
>>23856629>>23856638You grab her foot as she is being lifted away.More tentacles wrap around her, and you are having increasingly hard time pulling her back. Her voice echoes around you:"Stop...let it go...stop fighting it..and go to light..."Your hold is starting to lessen, as her her forms seems to start fading away.
>>23856848screw this, we are gonna book it for the end of the bridge instead.
>>23856848never. if it takes me fighting for you then so be bit. Leap and smash the tentacles.
>>23856848FIGHT THE POWER
You see the tentacles lift her to a strange opening that appeared on a wall. The pulsating of the environment increases, and you can hear a chorus of whispers all around you, urging you to "go to the light"
>>23856965No no no no no NO
>>23856965Nope, head for the end of the bridge.
>>23857003The end of the bridge IS the light.
>>23857038Then where are we supposed to go?There's no other exits, save being picked up by the orange things. Which we apparently don't want either.
Joey has vanished. The wall morphs into a new form. The pulsating intensifies.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--luVEnDxC8
>>23857098(Whoa, nice music choice)Holy crap, we definitely don't what to do what that thing says.
>>23857147The massive wall thing chuckles and lift's its arm towards you.The choir of whispers has turned into urgent pleas, telling you to run.The pulsating intensifies.
>>23857277...not previous anon but RUN. run for your....life!
>>23857298To what direction?
>>23857351now im scared...and against my better judgment, and lack of options, THE LIGHT RUN TO THE LIGHT!
>>23857383>>23857351Okay yes maybe the light now okay
>>23857383>>23857410You start sprinting towards the light. The wall thing chuckles again as it continues to reach towards you.You feel the light around you, it is warm and hums silent whispers of comfort to you.The pulsating intensifies.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hvxd5INSHw0
>>23857461Haul ALL the ass!
>>23857486You heard him, LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL
>>23857486Dive for that light. time to haul.
>>23857486You reach the light. The welcoming warmth embraces you, as strands of blood red light wrap around your body, and start dragging you towards the center of the light.
>>23857539This come to this: It was either scary monster arm or unknown light...I'll take unknown light.>Realize the wall thing might have actually being a good guy....don't you dareee
>>23857593Well you know, it DID kind of look like Joey.
Something cool in the last thread. In some of the pictures, it's possible to see the faint outline of that one freak following us.
The threads drag you to the light.Suddenly, the pulsating stops, and you find yourself standing in an eerily silent tunnel, bathing in red light. The only sounds you can hear are incoherent whispers from the slowly shifting dark figures on the walls. The only constant in chorus of whispers is the word "A Elan", that is repeated in a slow rhythm. At the end of the tunnel, you can see white light.
>>23857773...l-lets just push forward...keep an eye out on those white..eye...things
>>23857773Isn't it usually the white light that means you're going to die? What's behind us?
>>23857804You continue onward. The chorus of whispers grows greater, and the word "A Elan" keeps being repeated more and more.>>23857821There is nothing behind you.
>>23857898A Elan... A Elan... what does it mean? It sorta sounds like "alien" if you say it a certain way.
>>23857898You step to the doorway, and a bright flash of light occurs. As it fades away, you find yourself standing in a immense chamber. There is a bridge before you. The chamber is partly illuminated by dim orange glow. There is silent, with the exception of faint echoes and humming.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvuUwTHOqj8
>>23858096No place to go but forwards...
>>23858141You walk forwards, and as you reach the end of the "bridge" you gaze upon the seemingly endless chamber...
>>23858235"Hello? Is anyone there? Can you tell me where I am?"
>>23858235...i THINK i see something... ask if theres someone...or something there
>>23858254>>23858257You ask if someone is there. You get no response, but you can suddenly hear loud breathing.
>>23858314"Hello? Please, I need help! I have to find Joey!"
>>23858371I think we miiight need to dodge.
>>23858371Oh lord, that's horrifying. But... we don't have anywhere else to go, so... maybe we should let it pick us up. "Can... will you help me get out of here?"
>>23858550Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuuuuuuck"I... I just want to go back..."It looks like we're about to be eaten. Maybe we should prepare to bonk it on the schnoz.
>>23858550Good sir can you put me down and direct me to the nearst exit
>>23858579>>23858588>Have i ever told you the definition of INSANITY?>>23858592
>>23858592"NO." Apply fist to face.
bad dog, no bisquit.
>>23858646THIS IS A VERY VERY UN-GOOD THINGSTRUGGLE, FOR GOD'S SAKE
You wake up.Joey is sleeping besides you.You can see no one else in this room.Your sack you use to carry stuff around is sitting on the floor, open.
>>23858806Oh thank God. For a moment there I thought this was gonna be a "died-in-a-coma" moment.Check on Joey, then check self for signs of injury.
>>23858840Also find our stuff.
>>23858840You check on Joey if she is alright. It seems that she is, though she is somewhat annoyed at you for waking her up.As for yourself, you feel somewhat exhausted, and there are some aches in the areas where your flesh got slashed, but other than that, you feel quite healthy. The only thing you are suffering from is a cold sweat on your back, due to your strange dream.
>>23858840Look around, check the stuff near our sack, see what it is.
>>23859080They look like sea-anemone lava lamps.I kinda want one.
>>23859080>>23859049You grab your sack. The things on the table seem like some sort of containers.A trace of biogel lingers in their exotic scent.(Sorry guys, I have been having massive connection issues, which is why this update took this long to come.)
>>23859476Joey yawns and glares at you with disapproval."I wass still ssleepy! Why did you wake me up?" (Anyone still here?)
>>23859476So where are we?
>>23859706kinda?"Sorry...but...where are we?"
>>23859706Apologise, then ask her what happened after you passed out. Perhaps also inquire about our nightmare.
oh shit, we doin' freak quest?
Climb back on the bed and ask joey what happen. Did somebody set up us the bomb?
>>23859706drink the grey container. looks good.
>>23859815WE DOIN' FREAKQUEST, MAH GUTTERSPAWN
>>23859722>>23859729>>23859738You apologize to her, and ask if she knows where you two are, and what happened after you passed out. She frowns at you, and says:"Don't you remember? We are in the nice lady's room. She fixed you up. You were bleeding blood everywhere..she patched your wounds. She didn't even take any of our biogel to do it! She took just some junk as payment, and laid you to rest on the bed. I have been guarding you ever since!"
>>23859883What junk did she take?Check to see that the walking bladder is still there. Also proposing to call the walking bladder George.
>>23859883"Joey, if you recall, I was basically running on a combination of psychotic rage and leftover combat hormones. I don't think I was actually paying attention to a whole lot. Who is the nice lady?"
>>23859870You grab the grey container. It seems to have some delicious looking jello.>>23859918You check what junk was taken...after rummaging a bit, you can't find the strange syringe anymore. The one you found in the abandoned spire.>>23859952"Well, maybe you should have been paying attention! I and the nice lady had to work fasst to heal you! And I have been guarding you this whole time you slept!"
>>23860033share jello, and ask joey if she said what the syringe was, or if she will be back, or if the merchant friend will be around anytime.
>>23860033"Joey, you weren't guarding me, you were sleeping. You must've been tired. Now, is nice lady truly nice, or fake nice? And our merchant friend, is he okay?"
>>23860033"thank you for guarding me Joey, where did the nice lady go?"
>>23860033Syringe gone. Identified as likely being Vatmother made. Useless and best (and dangerous at worst) to anyone who doesn't know how to use it.Tread carefully. The "Nice Lady" appears to have some pretty high level biotech knowledge. Ask Joey what the Nice Lady did to us, exactly; specifically, if she installed any new implants into us.
You sit besides Joey and offer her some jello. She seems still angry with you, for some reason, and continues pouting.>>23860174>>23860126you thank her for guarding you, but also point out that she was asleep when you woke up."So?! I was still guarding you! I would have known if someone came to uss! My ears would have tingled and I would have woken up!"You also ask about Javak."He was here few hours ago, but he and his friend left. He said that he would come check on us when the time to go comess."You then ask about the "Nice Lady", what she did to you, and about the syringe."She was real nice! She said that she would save your life! The scary ghost that attacked poisoned you, so she took away the poison and fixed you up! I was so wor...I helped her! She used her funny head arms to tie your wounds and she put all kinds of fixing things on you, that made your wounds heal! And all she wanted was the stupid thing we found that didn't even do anything. She was so exited when she saw it! She must have thought that it was pretty! I allowed her to take it because she was so nice to heal you."
>>23860459Yup. We have a Vatmother on our hands. I'd suggest we buddy up to this vatmother. She could provide the protection we need, still being gutterspawn. They could also give us goals. Lets talk to Javak about this, see if he can give us any advice on what to do.
>>23860459Accept the explanation, for now."Joey, you okay? Something's up, isn't it?"
>>23860459inquire further about the head arms and then i agree we should ask if anything is up with joey
>>23860459I'm in bliss. Because FQop is back. Are we able to see the position of the glowing red orb in the sky, from where we are inside the bar?I want to wait until Javak comes back, eating jello in the mean time. Forget the possible vatmother, forget the Ultros goons possibly still downstairs. I just wanna sit longer and then go to Yellow Bazaar.
>>23860589>>23860640You ask Joey what's wrong. She glares at you angrily, and says:"You! You almost got killed! You are reckless! The creepy indivisible bad guy had poison! The Nice Lady said that it would have killed you if she did't give you antidote! I could have stung the bad guy with my stinger and he would have died! You fight without planss and almost died! What would I do then!? I can't follow you if you are dead!"
>>23861002You are still inside the bar.The last time you saw the red orb, it was setting, so depending on how long you were passed out, it might be quite late.
>>23861023Tell joey we love her too. Then, fade to black as we make the beast with two backs
>>23861023>If my memory ain't playing mind tricks on me...we did mention (once) for Joey to sting him...Well, Look down for a bit, head down too "...I'm sorry... He just kept on saying you were his..."
>>23861023"Look, Kid... I'm sorry I guess. I will not be so reckless in the future. But I HAD a plan, it just didn't include big or creepy things jumping me one after the other. Don't!....just don't worry so much."
>>23861023In our defense, he was huge.
>>23861023its not like i was trying to die
>>23861165yeah, what's up with that, did you ever know that guy or who Mr. creepy mouth worked for?
>>23861023Welp, girl's got a point."You're right; I should've paid more attention when you said your ears were tingling. Probably could have dealt with that arsehole... you know, before he jumped us. And probably should've just let you sting him; my plan wasn't all that smart. Satisfying, but not smart.""...But the stuff he was saying, about him taking you? You now "being his"? That made me mad. So, so, MAD."
>>23861261>>23861243>>23861165>>23861186You apologize her, but say that things didn't exactly go as planned in there, and that you were only trying to protect her from the creepy stalker."...you can't protect me if you are dead.."Your words seem to have calmed her down. "...I am sure that the Nice Lady won't mind if we eat some of her jello.." She whispers and smiles.
>>23861349Well might as well gorge ourselves
>>23861349"Are You sure" If she really thinks that smile back and take a bit.Otherwise "Then lets leave it for now"... joey wont mind a pat in the head right? OH, and don't forget smile!
>>23861349Jello always makes me feel better after terrible creepy dreams.
>>23861349apply jello to joey via mutual feeding. maximum cuteness.---For other players. I'm passing out, but if we encounter this vatmother, get the scoop on the following information1. what was in the needle.2. What we overheard in the last session about gutterspawn being turned into biogel or something.3. Can she make that armor we have fit, because that would be great.4. What does she know about javek and his people.5. "thanks."
You and Joey begin to eat some jello. The stuff tasted sweet and very good. She seems to be in much better mood now that moments ago.
>>23861644Ask Joey where the nice lady went.
>>23861683Joey says that the nice lady went trough the door behind the bed. "The lady said that she will go to talk with some of her friends."(Damn, I am getting pretty tired. Would you guys hold it against me if I ended the session around here. The MC and Joey just sitting and eating jello seems like a perfect place to end and to start a session. It might take many hours before we reach a similar spot. I am sorry if the dream section stuff was lame or otherwise un pleasing.)
>>23861794That was all an "Oh god FML" moment. But i liked itDon't worry FQ, you draw stuff for this quest and thats A LOT, and it is a good spot to stop too.
>>23861794The dream sequence was very pleasing actually. Stop now is fine. See you next week. I had a great time.
>>23861835>>23861856Good to know. Feel free to make your plans for the next session, like the suggestions posted here:>>23861611Comments, criticism and all other kinds of input are appreciated, and this time, I may stick around to chat for a while. Usually I stop when it is around 4 am here, and I am dead tired, but now I can still stay up for a while to chat.I had to learn how to make giffs for this session.
Is it alright if I setup the archive request?
>>23861943Sure, go ahead.>>23861971No problem, I aim to please.
>>23861943Just be sure to put the right tags.
>>23861943don't forget the freak quest tag
Are there any questions or other comments anyone would want to post, because I can probably answer few of them, before heading to bed.
>>23862176I guess not then.I'll go to sleep now.If this thread is around tomorrow, I may still answer some questions.I hope you guys had fun, and thanks to the anon who archived this thread http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/23855496/Feel free to post any input you may have to the thread.
Seeing how the thread is still around, I guess that it can be used as a Gigerworld general thread.
>>23870900potential suggestions includeA journal page:full of notes that players have suggested regarding quests and objectives, as well as in game discoveriesExampleMysterious syringe-what is it?-Find someone to identify it.-It was taken, what does it do?Person who healed me-who is she?-what faction-What does she know about javekJavek-What was he talking about with the gutterspawn and biogel?and then even non quest items like-maybe buy that regenerating drink-get armor sized to me-find out what happened to corpse of invisible freak, can we get that augmentation?-maybe buy slime aug for joey.this gives players just joining guidance, as well as those from the past a little help remembering what is going on. It would not be a mandated thing, more a collection of information guiding towards suggestions.
>>23871622That's a very good suggestion, and I will most likely implement it in some form.It would help people keep track of the things they have planned on doing and so on.This quest is turning out to be much more "gamey" than spider quest was.
>>23871738hell you made an entire system for this quest
>>23872511Well, it is pretty bare bones, but it (hopefully) will work well for this quest.Though, one might be able to run a simplistic combat game with numerous freaks in the party, using this system.
>>23870900As someone who was only around for the first thread and hasn't been up to date since, is Gigerworld an established setting, or one that exists just for this quest?
>>23872808Gigerworld is a setting that /tg/ came up with about a year ago. I took part in creating the setting, which is why I wanted to run this quest. Here is a link to the archived threads:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=giger
>>23872772on the subject of combat, how does the gigerverse handle projectile weapons/ attacks. Is it kept out of the game for the most part?Acid spraying organ, or some sort of combustible flame? Is flame a nonpoint due to the setting not having much that relilably burns with it all being fleshy and alive and flame doesnt seem to be used within the city.Electrical eel type organs?
>>23873217Well, when the setting was created, there was talk about projectile weapons as being part of it.Acid spitting organs are good example, along with some sort of spine launchers and such things. However, I have no solid idea on what sort of rules they would need to work in the quest. The projectile augs are quite advanced, so I haven't yet introduced them, and before I do, I need to figure out their rules. Any ideas on this subject are welcomed. You are right on the fact that there isn't that much flammable stuff in the city. The city is very humid place, and things don't tend to be very dry. I guess that fat could be used to burn things, though that practice isn't very widely spread.Electric eel like organs are definitely in the setting, though they are probably quite advanced augs, and thus, not very cheap or easy to find.
>>23873290you seem to have a theme of simplicity, so you could have degrees of difficultity to your rolls represented by +1 increases to the challenge to hit modifier based on GM determined distancePoint blank- unless the aug is such that it is unwiedly at close range, you treat it like melee. opponent has an extremely difficult dodge chance.Close- you do not have to roll to hit, but your opponent does have a challenging roll to dodge.Moderate- roll to hit, modifier against you to hit, bonus to oppoents dodgeFar- as above but +1, -1Extreme- as above +1, -1catching someone "looking" away or unaware negates their dodge chance, depending on projectile speed as determined by GM, and freak's sensory/ reaction abilities.these are just examples to help out. Things that spray obviously will hit in a wave and be much harder if not impossible to dodge at their optimal range.lets take a low tier weapon and work with it, Sub sonic spine launchercompare to an "ok" bow and arrow in terms of speed, so you need a grasp of FPS or feet per second. a paintball travels usually around 200-280 fps when the gun is adjusted for most fields.A crossbow will fire at around 270-300fps, there are extreme models that fire at much faster then that, but the mentioned range is suitable for hunting and killing.Compare to the exiting velocity of an m16 @ 3,110FPS, or 948 m/s (meters per second)also fps can be called ft/s
>>23873448continuing on, lets take a shitty aug that some gutter spawn found or was born with.spike launcher- single.Fires a single spike @ low speed, (200fps the rough FPS of an arrow from a longbow primitive bow. im being a little generous with that)due to its low speed, it has low range, and can only hit at pointblank-moderate. at moderate it would have a very hard time hitting accurately, so the difficulty would be based off of it's own stats for ranging calculations.the slow speed allows it to be silent, or perhaps since this one is shit there is a tell tale cough associated with it, or sneeze noise.next, the slow speed allows a freak at moderate range to see the other freak, and have a much easier time dodging it, but getting hit would still cause injury.
>>23873484If the characters come into the position to craft one thing that could be interesting is upgrading augmentations with more augs instead of the character, or even other things.I know the sword is not attached to the MC so lets start there. If the sword is bone, and living with a marrow core, perhaps installing a poison gland would be possible. As for the MC's armor, is that a permanent attachment, or no?
>>23873448>>23873484>>23873499Hmm, I like these ideas. Basically, shooting would go like this:Roll to hit (1d6+weapon's accuracy stat + the range modifier)- opponent's roll to dodge.I think that the ranged weapons will drain the energy bar, seeing how they are quite advanced augs whose functions require loads of energy. As for crafting, stuff like that is definitely possible in the setting, though it may require either acquiring special skills or visiting certain people with those skills.
>>23873499I forgot to address your question about the mc's armor. It is "permanent" in the way that anything else attached to your body is permanent. Which in this setting means that it is not.The armor plates can be removed almost as easily as they can be attached. In general, removing augs costs some biogel, but not as much as adding them (The biogel is used to heal the wounds that are left by removing the augs.) How easy the aug is to remove depends on the aug itself of course.Simple bone plates like the one mc has are easy to remove, as they are just attached to the body with strong bonds of sinew and flesh, but there are augs that bond with the freak using them far more deeply and in some cases, removing them is extremely hard. Some augs may not even be able to be removed. There are things that can alter the body of the freak deeply and permanently. Things like mutagenic viral injections for example.I am wondering if I should develop some basic skills to help to deal with things like crafting augments and so on. (If I am not careful, I might accidentally develop a full rpg system here.)Anyways, do you guys have any more ideas?
>>23874015rolling for levels of difficulty regarding crafting augs, along with modifiers based on what sort of tools you have.A really rough mod to an aug might be "killed this freak with a retractable blade arm, but not hand, however this other freak has a nice claw hand." the poor mans way of doing it would be to rip out the retractable blade and tissue, then slash open the arm, and put in the bloody mess then dump biogel on it until it takes. This will work, but will result in a lower grade/ messy aug that was cost ineffective, might be ugly/ scarred/ feels weird to use/ stiff/ lacks a range of motion. So "dump biogel on whatever you have mangled until it works"Next up you have tools. Tool kits allow you to actually do something right and come in tiers, or perhaps upgrades to existing kits.A dagger or even sword could count as a simple tool with zero modifier to salvaging augsA flaying knife +1Basic surgery kit +2Complex surgery kit +3so on.You also need knowledge, everyone can cut something off a freak, but it takes a little know how to know which gland or organ is good to grab, unless you take them all and hope for the best. Though this could be easy enough to learn. So implementing skills in addition to augs and traits.Craftinga level of knowledge + surgical "equipment"+ roll vs difficulty = quality/ biogel neededIt would be near impossible to fail an effort if you have at least some knowledge, but the result could be very, very poor. you could then attempt during the crafting phase to raise the level of quality with a considerable amount of biogel. all depends on what it would be worth to the player.new mechanic: Biogel storage: either by buying or crafting many freaks who are established carry a canteen/ canister/ flask/ satchel of some sort that contains a measure of biogel. (this could be displayed on the inventory screen next to what would eventually be currency, or this could be currency, just in a smaller amount such as 1 dose
>>23874160vs .1 dose. measured amounts. The previously mentioned chips that the merchant used in the bar could be dried biogel or infused blood. anything really. just ideas.A freaks ability to store biogel externally could be reflected in the quality/ size of their container.loosing it could be detrimental, or costly and opens up further consequence to loosing a fight, seeing someone walk away with all your hard work as you pass out.
>>23874160>>23874171I'll think on these ideas, as they are pretty great.I don't want to make the stuff too complex tough. Thus far, the biogel has been used as simple currency. One doze of biogel is pretty small amount of it actually. Probably around one deciliter of it. The medium container houses about a half a liter of biogel. The reason why biogel is an universal currency in the city is because everyone needs is and can utilize it in some way. I have a hard time coming up with another type of currency, as there economy in the city is heavily based on simple bartering, and servitude.
bumb in case people wish to discuss things more.
