You're a very pretty snake girl, with a very cute lover. You live in the wonderful city of Citadel, Heaven built upon Earth. You live in a nice house, with your lover, and you spend your days with her. Maybe, soon, you and she will find a nice guy and have lots of little babies with him. Plus, because you're a famous hero, you don't have to work!

Life is good.

Citadel is wonderful.

Oh, HELL no! You are Ssen Patrick, and you are fucking PISSED.

You were at a ball thrown in honor of winning Stone Hall back. You found out that the idiot you knew as Isen the Audacious was actually Prince Itzak Newgate, a member of the royal family.

You danced, you laughed, you kissed Tricia for the first real time...and then you saw the Humor known as Peace, hiding in the shadows, aiming a crossbow at Isen. You lunged and pushed the guy out of the way, taking the bolt yourself.

The bolt was poisoned and, while a normal person would be dead, you woke up with shock white hair, raised black veins on your arms and shoulders, and your smooth skin is now tough and dry.

Also it's three months later...and it seems that Citadel, the living City State from Hell, had kidnapped your friends Mage, Peri/Mari, and Lea.

There's study that says that Lamias and Nagas are closer in species to dragons, than to snakes. Right now, you agree with that. Because you feel like a dragon who's just been stolen from, and you are going to make this place BURN.

Okay, I have a question for you guys. I have two adventure paths for today, but they hinge on a question I want to leave to you. If you want to say that it lies in a die roll, that's fine too.

Do you think, that if given a chance to do so, the taken Dawnchasers can fight off Citadel's influence by themselves?

So either yes they can, or we need new allies.
>>
>>23809295
No, as much as it pains me to say so. Not for lack of trust in their strength of soul, but for knowing the dread span of Citadel's grasp. We've seen good men already broken by its saccharine weight and we will not allow the same fate to befall those we call friend.

>>23809333
The world breaks all people; afterward, some are strong in the broken places. Our friends are -not- beyond help simply because they need it.

The rules have changed.

I am alive, angry and directed.

I'm not pretending that everything the Citadel's doing is all about us. That'd be insane.
The Ball was just killing a few birds with one stone, not just - perhaps not even even - a shot at us.
But it was a clear message. It's prepared to murder innocents. It's prepared to kill dissenting voices.

It's prepared to do anything to get what it wants.

Well, newsflash:

So am I.

You begin your ruthless purge of this loathesome place by pushing yourself up...and falling in a heap.

"Easy," Tricia says. "Easy." She hands you a potion. "Drink this. Your muscles are all atrophied. Mr. Trapp, remember him? He gave me this formula to keep you from getting too weak. But now that you're awake Ambrose said that I can move you up to this new potion." Oh GOD...it takes like rancid meat, fly droppings, and and maggots...and given that Tricia, the insect druid, made it...still you drink the damnable thing. "You should be up and ready for tomorrow. We'll go get everyone, and then find Isen and Tara, and get back into the speed of things. Why are you so worked up?"

No sense hiding it now. Yes, things can always get much much worse...but screw it. This city isn't calling the fucking shots any more.

Wanna just leave it to the die?
>>
>>23809416
Wrong. We must not give hand it a label to apply to us. We must not be a villain it can understand, nor a hero it expects. We will do the right thing, the hard way, and smile when it hurts because we know some things simply must be done. Citadel will beg to know what we are and why we act thusly. It will ask this question with its very last breath as it starves.

It assumes, like most things, that contentment will do the trick.
Contentment will keep everyone in place.
Contentment will keep everyone distracted from what's really going on.

Let it know we can beat it up, let it know we could kill it,
let it know we can destroy it, let the fear shrivel it up.
Fuck that. I'm not afraid of it.
It's afraid of me.

It's afraid of the truth.

This might just be me, but I'm a bit leery of letting anything be reliant on the roll of a dice. Perhaps it can contribute significantly depending on how high the roller goes, but perhaps there should be other options available to free them if the dice fails. But I'd say that finding a way to externally break a godlike entity's grasp on someone won't be an easy task.

Quiet rescue, gather allies, gather more allies, then shoot Citadel in the face while its in the midst of listening to its latest iteration of the Lightbringer fanfiction.

Burning the entire city the ground seems to be foolhardy right now. And it's not really being fair to those other people who are just living their lives as best they can while being watched over by some prepubescent and divine version of the Combine Overwatch.
>>

I think we should tell Tricia, since it's going to be hard to get the support of our friends unless they know.

Alright, basically what we are going to do is regroup with all of our allies, get the token paladinship given Isen is still willing to patron us. Once we do that, we bail the fuck out of here. Possibly trying to contact granny about counteracting the worst effects of that venom. Then we keep out of the city as much as possible, couriers to Isen and promoting the inventor and the others that the citadel is shitting over. Get them in touch with people that they can expand their craft with, OUTSIDE the influence of the cities walls even if they are still in it. Citadel will see it simply as growth. Which it likes. We build up influence with them while recuperating. Possibly looking into how the citadel came to power through dragons or whatever.
It has its hackles up now. We disappear, let it get complacent. Let it build its walls up. Happily viewing us as no threat.

How that inventor guy had all that weird luck, or the tailor had no customers despite being so good?" You shake your head. "Theres something not right in Citadel. I think our friends being 'happy' has something to do with it."

Tricia rubs her arms. "I think you may be right...this place scares me a little."

"So, what the hell happened while I was out? I mean, tell me everything."

"Okay...you got hit. And then I got to you while the Occuli were getting the Newgates out of there. Our guys kept Tara from getting killed as she wanted to see if Isen was okay. I saw that it was Glass Scorpion poison, the black veins are the first sign. Normally, a human would be dead in seconds, but your body was fighting it, so it slowed it down enough for me to grab a dinner knife, cut open the wound and..." She blushes. "Well, I sucked out a lot of the poison and spat it out."

"Isn't that fatal?" You asked. Not just because of the poison, but your own blood can't be healthy for humans either...

Tricia shrugs. "I didn't think of that. I just...I had to try. Anyway, I stalled the spread of the poison for a Cups Healer to arrive and he stabilized you. Then, I've been here. The Cups people never know what they're doing, so I asked Mr. Trapp if he had any books, he used to be a field medic for the army when he was young, back in the expansion days. So he had plenty of good advice, books too."

"And you've been here at my side, for the whole three months?" You ask. "Where do you sleep?" This room isn't all that big. "Where are we anyway?"

"Citadel Castle, private quarters." Tricia says, and mostly..." She wiggles a bit in the large chair she's sitting in. "This is very comfy, really."

You give her a look. She groans. "Yeah, yeah. I know...but it's all I could come up with."

"You had three months."

"Shut up!" She swats you. "Want me to keep going?"

You motion for her to proceed.

"Alright, as for what happened outside after the ball...well..." She sighs. "Bad news first. After a week, Paladin Odette 'caught' the assassin. Apparently it was an Elf from the Fey Court, she 'found' his 'lair' with documents, blueprints, schematics for how to get into the place...the whole thing." Tricia shook her head. "We knew she was making it all up, but it looked amazingly convincing, and the rest of Citadel bought it."

"So we kept looking, well...they kept looking. I stayed with you."

You hug her for that. She returns it, and it's a moment before you to let go se she can continue her story.

"Lea started going to Cathedral to pray for you. Then one day they ask her to give a sermon, and now she's there a lot. She always includes us in her daily prayer. Mage has buried himself into the mage hall, insisting that he can figure this thing out. I visit him, and he's got piles and piles of books around him...and vegetables. He keeps mumbling about how he's getting closer. Peri/Mari are now Tara's managers at the arena here. They say we need the gold Tara's bringing in...and Tara's fighting again. Also wearing that stupid thing we saw her first in at Purple Sands. Peri/Mari only seem to be focused on getting money for our 'next trip' but I don't think they have any idea as to how much we even need." She sighs. Citadel is having a hard time keeping our friends contained but it's currently managing. All the futile pursuits our friends have thrown themselves into seem very near to their true character. We'll just tell them that the search is a dead end here, that we have more than enough money, that Lea's sermons are needed elsewhere in poorer villages that would welcome her wisdom, etc. Let's all just happily get away from here for a while.

WINK WINK
>>
>>23810429
That's unlikely.
>>
>>23810431
Good idea. Why don't we see how things are and decide then?

>>23810429

The *Light*, or the "light"?
>>
>>23810483
the light.
>>
>>23810483
the *light* and the "light" are superficially similar, especially in a devout such as lea.

We need more ways to differentiate light and citadel altered light

You guys think we might need some other armor/clothing that hides the worst of the ravages of the poison? While Ssen may not really overly care about her physical appearance, but it may give any regular passerby quite a shock. It was bad enough when Ssen was basically a snake-woman with exotic features, but looking like a significantly better version of pic related might not be a good thing.

We may at least want to consider a hat.
>>
>>23810527
the real Light is capitalized, the citadel altered version is not.
>>
>>23810491

The Light represented in our medallion, which is the antithesis of the Citadel, or the light used as a sock-puppet for controlling paladins?

>>23810527

One's used against the Citadel for true Good, and the other is used *by* the Citadel for "kill all monsters" type twisted-fairy-tale "good".
>>
>>23810559
As I said, the light, not the Light.
>>
"As for Isen, no one has seen the Newgates at all. The Blue Occuli have done a full lockdown, not until the army finishes the march." She sighs. "Oh, uhh...here." She hands you a piece of paper that's folded into the shape of a strange looking bird. "That's a thank you from Princess Yadda-Yadda from the Phoenix Empire...I think...she doesn't speak Citadel."

Your body tingles and there's a dull ache. Tricia makes you drink more of the horrid medicine. "We're not going anywhere to save anyone, if you aren't able to so much as squirm." She hands you another vial...and it looks like there's several more to go.

You groan at her. But she gives you a stern look. You sigh and comply.

"Stopping Odette's power-grabbing can wait." You give your Medallion a kiss for good luck. You gently polish it and think of what Father would do in this kind of scenario, or if he could ever dream of this kind of scenario. "We just need to get the others and get out of the city for a while, to get some fresh air."

"Alright. We can sit in on one of Lea's sermon's tomorrow." She says.

You finally finish all the doses of that putrid tasting crap.

She yawns and stretches. It's later in the day than you thought it was, and the medicine is making you kind of sleepy. "Well, rescue everyone and escape this place tomorrow. Sleep well, Snake. Night." She curls up into her chair.
>>
>>23810542
We know the right person for that.

Nope, shes to join us in the bed. For sleep. But we aren't letting her sleep in a chair a single moment longer.

You roll your eyes and pull her leg with your tail. She starts a bit. You point at the bed. She gives you a questioning look, and you nod. She climbs into the bed next to you. She wraps her arms around you, and you curl your tail around her.

Sleep is deep and easy. You only feel Tricia's heartbeat, as yours and hers slowly come into sync.

There's no hint of that thing of shadows and sparks in your dream. Which makes sense, Citadel doesn't understand what this is, so it can't get in.

The morning comes, and the two of you slowly unwrap from each other, stretch, and you find that you can move again. You're a little sluggish than normal, but that should go away.

Your usual clothes do a mostly good job of hiding your new skin. Though you might want gloves, as your hands look like black veined messes. Also, you make sure to look for hairdye when you leave Citadel. Not that your now shock white hair looks bad...but you miss your red hair. A lot.

Another thing to express your displeasure about to the Humors when you meet them.

"So, we going to see Lea or Mage, first?"
>>
>>23810781
"Lea first, we will sit in on her first sermon without her knowing we are there."
>>
>>23810781
Lea. To the cathedral!

>>23810781
Mage it's probably going to be easier.

Yes. Then Mage.
>>
>>23810781
"When does Lea preach? If we have time, Mage first, if not, Lea."
>>
>>23810781
I was going to say Mage, but making a beeline for one of the people citadel is having the MOST trouble controlling would be telegraphing our movements. Let's go see how Lea is doing. We'll sit in on a sermon without her knowing we're there.
>>
>>23810781
>red hair dye
Honestly, I am hoping to hold off on that a while.

I'm hoping that our hair starts regaining its' color as we live healthily and aren't on the verge of death.
>>
>>23810916
Seconded. Why see shame in survival? The flesh is ephemeral; hair dye would be a silly waste of our time and resources.
>>
>>23810781

Lea first, for reasons outlined in >>23810872

We must assume that our every action is being watched. Which it is, by Citadel, but also by more cunning entities.
>>
>>23810933
no, maybe hair dye eventually. but I'd like to see if it starts getting better for the first few weeks.

Just, you know. See if it gets better before dying it.
>>
>>23810916
this for now, a good portion of our horrible looks could be malnutrition, we where unconscious for 3 months after all.

i dont mind the hair color change, but the skin and veins we really could do with fixing.

>>23810815
>>23810818
>>23810850
For future reference and ease of standard rules, when I make options like that, first to get three picks goes.

Lea's leading a crowd in prayer inside the Cathedral when you get there. She's also not wearing her bandages. Not that wearing a Purple Sands dress with a veil that hides her entire body, save her eyes.

"..and we give thanks to the light, for giving Citadel such bounty, we give thanks to the light for making Citadel strong, and we give thanks to the light for helping all of us in Citadel rejoice in His Light within Citadel." There's a moment of silence. Then she starts again. "Now, let us move to our prayer for Citadel's fishers, farmers, and herders, all of those who need the light's blessing so they may provide Citadel for what it needs..."

"May I ask for a prayer for someone?" You say in the crowd.

Lea looks up and sees a person with white hair in the back of her crowd. She doesn't instantly recognize you. "Of course. Who are we praying for? One of Citadel's soldiers in particular?"

"I would like to pray for Stone Hall. They need help after the Ghoul attack. I have..." You smirk as you think of the old hag. "I have family there."

"Why of course." Lea says without a pause. "Lets all bow our heads and give our thoughts to Citadel and..." She pauses and shakes her head. "Forgive me, give our thoughts to Stone Hall. May the Light bless them in their..." She winces and holds her head. "Mmh...what? Uhh..." She looks around. "Who were we praying for again?"

"Citadel." The crowd says as one.

Lea takes a step back. "Right...yes...wait..." She pauses. It looks like something on her back is bothering her. She keeps trying to scratch it. "One moment...I need to..."
>>
>>23811149
How about we change it to just our home town then? Or Stone Down?

Then we have a very legitimate excuse for it.

Whisper a prayer to our medallion. Light guide Lea in her time of need.

>>23811224
There is only so much we can watch out for Citadel. We acted natural enough. We will have to do much worse in the future.

Smile stoically and offer an HONEST prayer for citadel along with them.

For it knows not what it does.
>>
>>23811224
yeah, this isn't "citadel's notice". this is citadel's autoimmune system.

Citadel will only notice if there's a problem with the autoimmune system, like a particularly annoying and itchy lamia.

>>23811256
I figured we were going to wait for the prayers to finish, then talk to her afterwards.
>>
>>23811271
She most likely would have continued all day.

"Light guide Lea in her time of need." You say, as you hold the medallion.

"Please...hold on..." Lea twists as she tries to scratch whatever it is off of her back. "I'm sorry, so sorry..." She laughs. "Please, stay...listen to me...and don't..."

She pulls her burkha off and everyone sees Lea's face. A few look away.

"Oh! I'm sorry, please...wait...no...please stop." She gathers up her head covering. "Please, don't...please don't pity me..." She shakes her head. "All are beautiful within His Light." A sob escapes her lips. She covers herself back up, and regains her position and poise. "Now, forgive me for that...to where was that prayer for?

"I pray for Citadel itself." You say. "That it might become better than it is, today."

"Citadel is perfect!" Someone snaps towards you.

"Now, now..." Lea says. "Citadel is lovely, but only His Light is perfect, and that is because He Knows that it will change." She pauses and then looks around. "Forgive me, brothers and sisters...I do not mean to keep you here unduly. We all have lives. What time is it? I don't see a clock here."
>>
>>23811356

The lack of clock in Citadel.

The clocks in the inventor's and the outcasts' home.

Because in Citadel the service lasts from when Citadel wants it to start until Citadel wants it to stop.

"What?" Lea says. "That's...that's not right." She pats her pockets of her dress. "Where's my book of the Teachings? I need to check something...prayer is useless if it's just the flapping of mouths and empty words. That I remember, but...the Teachings say it better...wait..." She looks up and snaps her fingers. "Right, I left it at Ssen's room. I need to go get it."

"Before you go," The zealot says. "Please, let us pray for your friends. They need it, don't they?"

"Yes...Ssen is hurt." Lea says.

"And you wish them better..." The zealot says.

Lea comes up to you and hug you.

"I have your book." You say as you hand her the book of Teachings.

"Oh, that doesn't matter." She takes her book the same though. "You're what's important! Oh, blessed be His Light! You're okay! Oh, your hair..." She touches your hands. "And I told you that one prayer meeting to His Light would be useful!" She snaps.

"Lea...that was five weeks ago." Tricia says.

Lea looks at you. "What? Really?" She looks around. "No, that can't be right...I...I did one prayer and then..." Her eyes slowly start to widen. "What's going on?" She asks. She's looking very scared.

"I am NOT going back into one of those things!" Lea hisses. "This place is..." She sees the two of you shake your heads. "I'd feel uncomfortable disrupting someone else's prayer."

"Applicant Ssen!" Odette says with a clear calm smile. "I had heard you were up. I'm glad to see it." She nods at your friends. "I'm sorry about the delay in your confirmation."

"Hmm?"

"Oh, right." Tricia says. "Well...you've been approved to be a Paladin but..."

"But there's some concern about His Majesty being out in the public to speak for you as your sponsor." Odette says. "We're trying to see if we can do a loophole, to see if we can have him here by a proxy or other solution, but it seems that Her Illuminated Self is insistent on the old ways." She shrugs. "Politics, the bane of us all."

>>
>>23812673
Lea has her scars and discolorings form the sign of the Caligo Clarus on her back. It didn't itch or bother her until today, when a bandage that she missed removing got unstuck and then restuck to her again, pinching the skin for form the sign, and causing her to itch and scratch and lose her train of thought in the cloister.
>>
Am I an idiot for only now realizing that

all of our friends being pre-branded with the caligo clarus means they are resistant to citadel effects

No, the bandage was causing the scars to form the symbol of the Caligo Clarus, just like we saw the last time we looked at her back, which from a certain angle, was the symbol of the Caligo Clarus.

The scars on her back dont form the symbol completely.

You think that it means that Mage has grown a beard or let his hair grown out. In truth he only has a little stubble.

The shears are to GET to him in his 'study center.' The Horn of the Fell Hind is leaning, unused, in a corner. Pieces of paper and pictures cover the walls, along with notes filled with Mage's scribblings. Colored thread stretches across the room in every single possible angle, connecting random points to random points.

"So, if the Phoenix Empire's shipyards...yes...yes...are co-related to Hyacinth Newgate's third son, who's parantage is in question as...yes!" Mage pins a piece of string to the wall and then works his way through the maze, passing you three.

"Hi Tricia, Hi Lea." He says. "I've almost got it all figured out! It's really easy when you start to follow the facts! They're all right there for anyone to find!"

He sticks the other end of the string against the wall. "Now...now let's see how far this thing goes...oh you are gonna pay for hurting Ssen, you bastard...and I'm gonna find you."

Yup, "When She flexes" means that it doesn't form naturally. THe bandage was helping do that. Removing it was a mistake.

"We are not talking about that, again. Are we clear, or do I punch your chest cavity in?" Lea snaps.

"You can try." Tricia says.

Mage sniffs. "I just...seeing you there..." He looks at you, and you can't but feel like you're looking at a kicked puppy. He sighs.

You hand him his bracelet. He gladly snaps it back on and motions for his staff. It floats through the air, navigating the strings, and lands in his hand, sprouting a chain from it to attach to his wrist.

"Neat, huh?" He says. "Peri said that it gave me style." He pauses. "Oh! Uhh, Tricia?" He asks.

"Oh here, we go. NOW he remembers." She mutters. "No, and she hasn't shown up since you went down into your spider hole here."

Muwahhahaha. Before I collapse then...here...

You find Tara and Peri/Mari at the arena. They're pretty easy to find. Peri/Mari is the woman in the private box wearing the two color dress that you think was worn by one of the 'actresses' at a Citadel play. She's got betting slips in both hands.

"KILL HER!" They shriek. "RIP HER SKIN OFF AND STRANGLE THE BITCH WITH HER OWN TAIL!"

Tara's down in the arena, she's taking on four trained Naga pets at once. One of them she has on the ground. She's punching in the creature's face over and over and over and over again. She's screaming in incoherent rage as the crowd cheers her on her fourth kill in a row. You see another pair of pet nagas being prepared to be put into the ring.

"At least they're interacting with actual people." Mage says as he watches Peri/Mari laugh as she throttles a man who's paying out money to her.

"BOW BEFORE US!" She screams as she tosses the man down. "Were we one we'd still be TWICE the person YOU'D be!" She kicks him away. "GO!" She yells at Tara. "KILL HER!" She points at the Naga.

Tara nods and charges the snakegirls.

"Okay, so...this apparently got much much worse while I was away." Tricia says.

"What was she doing before?" Lea said.

"Using the people she purchased as slaves to be her living throne." Tricia sighs.

"I miss the warzone." Mage whimpers.

>>23814184
I don't... actually think she can hear us. We're in an arena.

There's little we could do save jump in there and look very much like a naga while attempting to break the currently naga killing minotaur away from the nagas.
>>
>>23814215
Indeed, I think we need to go up to Mari/Peri's box and give her the disappointment treatment. Because I bet when Tara's done, she's going to look up at the box, then she gets to see us looking down at her, radiating sadness in her general direction.
>>
>>23814215
We need to use our best paladin shout of disapproval. Nothing rings through the air quite like JUSTICE
>>
>>23814232
Light-empowered paladin shout of JUSTICE can cut through the cheers of even the most bloodthirsty crowd.
>>
>>23814232
>>23814255
I am not entirely sure if we have that class feature.

I am almost entirely sure we can do dissapointment though.

That's it. I'm sick of this "Masterwork Shouting" bullshit that's going on in Lamia Daughter quest right now. Voice of JUSTICE deserves much better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine Voice of JUSTICE in Purple Sands for 500000 gold (that's about 5000000 silver) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even silence rampaging barbarian hordes with my Voice of JUSTICE.

Caligo Clarus Paladins spend years developing a Voice of JUSTICE and berate up to a million evildoers to produce the finest voices known to man or lamiakind.

Voices of JUSTICE are thrice as loud as bloodthirsty roars and thrice as powerful for that matter too. Anything a warlord could bellow into submission, a Voice of JUSTICE could silence quicker. I'm pretty sure a Voice of JUSTICE could easily silence a black knight wearing full spiked bloodstained plate with a simple statement.

Ever wondered why evil never conquered the Caligo Clarus? That's right, it was too scared to fight the disciplined Paladins and their Voices of JUSTICE. Even in the final battle with the Dragon Who Dwells in Darkness, the Darkness targeted the men with the Voices of JUSTICE first because their shouting power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Voices of JUSTICE are simply the best voices that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in Lamia Daughter Quest. Here is the stat block I propose for a Voice of JUSTICE:

1d12 Brian Blesseds
Causes guilt and cows evildoers on a 1+
+5 to volume and gravity
Counts as Masterwork

Now that seems a lot more representative of the shouting power of Voices of JUSTICe in real life, don't you think?

tl:dr = Voices of JUSTICE need to be more commanding in Lamia Daughter Quest, see my new stat block.

Appeal to Peri by donning some crappy home-made version of a Paladin's raiments, and then try to get her into a confession.

Try to remind her of her previous confession, and pull the holy-goodness act to get her into one again.

Don't know what to do with Mari though, heh.
>>
>>23814726
That'll just look silly if we pull that. If she does a confession it has to be her choice.

For now we just guilt trip the fuck out of her with disappointed paladin face.
>>
>>23814742

Meet her in the barracks/quarters/whatever, then sadface her.
>>
>>23814793
It's more effective if we sadface her here, where she's caught red-handed.

I'm sure we can barge into her viewing box, we are after all the Hero of Citadel, apparently.
>>
>>23814815
We don't need to barge. Just slide up. And look at her.

Then look at Tara fighting.

Then look back at Peri/Mari.
>>
>>23814900
hand on shoulder can be deployed at this point, but dissapointment face should have been already deployed
>>
A thought occurs, Tara is in a fight to the death. If we do distract her, she might be the one who dies. I doubt the Naga will pass up the opportunity to take her down if she takes her eyes off them, they've already witnessed her smash several others to bloody chunks in front of them.
>>
>>23814944
yeah. I don't want to stop the fight. You don't stop these things mid-fight, especially with naga who might not even be able to talk.

If nobody taught the nagas to talk, how can they listen to our paladin shouts?
>>
>Tara snaps out of it
>Knows we saw her kill nagas in the pit like a savage
>Nervously approaches us and tries to stutter an apology
>Expects us to be angry, or at least tell her that she needs to ask forgiveness
>Doesn't expect us to put our arms around her and say "Oh, you poor thing..."

Unlimited Guilt Works
>>
>>23815171
UNLIMITED GUILT BREAKERRR

And then forgive her.
>>
>>23814960

Maybe talk some sense into Peri/Mari first, then since Tara listens to her, have her set up an arm/tail wrestle between you and Tara (while we are in disguise). In our weakened state she will surely win, and then we throw off the disguise and BAM, nostalgia.
>>
>>23815213
How about we don't be Odysseus until we are out of the city..
>>
>>23815213
If you want to get Taras attention we just need to say "Isen misses you."

You know he does.

My tacos are done and echo isn't back yet. Worry.

No posts by EG in at least 2 hours. That feel.

And we won't see him again until 3 months later when he returns with white hair.
>>
>>23815615
Worry no longer. For I have ginger ale and no work tomorrow.

1d12 Brian Blesseds? That's amazing. You won yourself a re-roll in times of need, my friend.

You make your way through the crowd. It's a little amazing and disgusting really. Like everything of Citadel, it's shiny and bright and pretty, and then you actually look. Peri/Mari aren't the only ones behaving badly. It's the most extreme case, granted, but you see people gambling like crazy, or indulging in vices, and so on.

For some reason, you find it strangely comforting that Citadel had to devote so much energy and go so far, and take apparently nine weeks of straight corruption for it to get to your people.

Still, don't stop from you going to have to 'deal' with this.

You make your way to Peri/Mari's box and you just lean against it for a while. Your new hair color was damn useful in getting you close without the others, or Citadel, freaking out instantly.

>literally 7 minutes after I voice worry echo returns

My worry glands are precisely tuned, it seems.

Anyway, now we have to figure out how to get into the box and paladinface her successfully. I still suggest deploying the shoulderhand when the time comes.
>>
>>23815761
we need a new thread, we are on page 10 now, we will fall off the board soon.

Put a hand on her shoulder. Greet both Mari and Persephone seperately. Put sadness and regret in your voice when you do so.
>>
>>23815761
>>23815799
yes, can you please re-post this in a new thread echo? We're straining our time as it is
>>
>>23815761
You clear your voice and the woman do a look at you, which turns into a double take, which turns into a triple take, which turns into her just standing there. Looking at what she's doing.

"We...we thought that we could..." There's a pause and she shakes her head.

"Ugh, oh damnit Mari, I told you we weren't going to wear this dress...wait...where are we?"

"I only said that it looked pretty, and I wanted to go visit Ssen, but you said we needed the money. How long have we been here?"

They look at you with a fervent hope that you're going to buy their act.
>>

Tell the truth.

"Five weeks."

(If I ain't misunderstanding what the post was about)
