Starting a little later than I had expected, so apologies on my part!Welcome to Entwined Quest!Your name is James Thomson. You were born Marked, and destined to be a Channel. Granted magical powers by the gods, you must pair with a Knight to fight the powerful Shadows and Demons that roam the land. On your seventeenth birthday, you prepare to leave home to travel to the Academy, a school where Knights and Channels are trained. Your father bestows upon you a magical book; a talking codex. You name your new partner Weiss, and climb aboard the cart. During the trip you meet Gwain, one of the Academy's staff, and Anna, a mysteriously agressive Knight, Marina, a sleepy Knight, Marisa a kind (if a bit haughty) Channel, Stahl, a nice, relaxed Knight and Damien, a quiet bookish Channel. We left off yesterday around mid day, as you finally arrive at the Academy, in all it's splendor. You cart has just drawn to a halt, and you stare up at the imposing bulk of the Academy. The "school" is enormous; easily the size of the castle. You and your fellow students cannot help but be amazed by the bulk, and gaze in awe. Gwain hops off the cart with a grunt, and dusts his jerkin off. "This way, if ye' don't mind!" He beckons, striding towards the gates.
>>23792422Well, I said I would be here, and so I am.Oh, and your OP used Marisa's name twice, haha.
>oh, i left it out. >what do?
>>23792528It was mentioned in the last thread, which we failed to archive, so i will suggest we take a look at those aforementioned stained glass windows. Should be interesting.Previous thread for reference and newbies: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/23772524/
Follow while lagging behind to examine the stained glass.
>>23792567Oh, and i totally left that out of my OP as well. Wonderful job, so professional! >take a look at the stained glass windowsStaring up at the castle, you notice that every single window in sight is decorated with an ornate, stained glass plate. The highest are almost indistinguishable from down where you are, but you can clearly see several others. The most prominent design appears to be the pane above the main entrance that Gwain is striding towards. Examining it, you can see that it depicts a battle between a pair of Entwined and imposingly large Shadow. The two are dwarfed by the creature's size, but their facial expressions are serene and confident as they oppose the beast. You cannot identify the pair, but it seems obvious that they are famous, important or both, judging by the prominence of their window, and its size. While you are gazing upon the window, Stahl, Marina and the others gather their bags and begin to follow Gwain. As they pass you, Stahl gives you a tap on the shoulder, and drops your bag next to you. "Hey, thanks!", you tell him, and he flashes a quick thumbs up. Picking up your bag, you hurriedly follow the others, and step into the Academy. The halway you enter is as ornate as the exterior, and bright, oil light lamps flank each side. Tapestries of Knights and Channels decorate the walls, and you and the others oogle them as you walk past. Following the others, you enter an enormous, fantastically huge hall. Long, long tables take up most of the space in the hall and their benches are filled with students. Glancing upwards, you see that the celling of this grand room is decorated with fantastical images of the constellations. Around you, you can see other students, (all who look as impressed as you do) being bustled into the hall by various teachers. Gwain whispers to your and your friends, "Take your seats. The Headmistress and Master are about to speak!" Hurriedly, the six of you take your places at FIELD TOO LONG
>>23792830>FIELD TOO LONGOh dear.
>>23792830nearest table, and sit down. Looking to the front of the room, you see a grand, wooden podium. From one of the nearby staff tables, you can see two figures stand up, and as they near the podium their features become clear. The man is tall, but slightly stooped over and wears a rather silly, large, floppy wizard hat. The woman beside him frowns, and seems to be all business. She is outfitted in a suit of heavy plate armor, and a rapier hangs at her side. After several moments of silence, her voice booms out. "Welcome, students, to the Academy! This will be your home for the next four years, and you will be expected to try your very hardest. You will be tested! Your endurance, willpower and strength pushed to the brink. This is not a silly grammar school." Silence falls again, and you can see your fellow students grimacing and looking a little afraid of the draconic woman. Then, the silence is broken by the Headmaster. "That being said, this does not mean the Academy isn't a place for fun. Many of you will live the best years of your lives here, and you're expected to have as good a time as possible, and bond with your fellow students. Are there any questions?">wat do

Wait, is this seriously Magical-Girl-on-Female-Knight Lesbian Quest? And I thought Blatant Fetish Quest was bad...
Your mind is filled with questions of every single sort, but as you raise your hand, two primary ones come to mind. Luckily, the Headmaster seems to have noticed you, and points in your direction. "You, yes you!" He calls out in an excited manner.Trying to muster as much courage as you can, you raise your voice. "What are the basic school rules, sir? And, um...well, are there seagulls?" You blush almost immediately after saying this, and mentally barate yourself for saying something so silly. To your surprise, however, the Headmaster and a few other students chuckle. In a kindly manner, the man responds. "Rules will be explained when you reach your dorms, and as for seagulls, well, yes, I admit I may have seen a few around campus." Breathing a sigh of relief, you lower your hand. Mere seconds later, a deluge of servants enters the room, each bearing a plate loaded with food. They place their delicious packages before each student, and you look down to see delicious roast chicken, sweet potatoes and a hunk of buttered bread. Grinning, you dig in, eating as fast as you can. In minutes, you find yourself engaged in an eating competition with Stahl, who is beating you handily. Marisa makes a face at the two of you, but Marina cheers you both on, and seems to be getting quite the kick out of it. Around a half an hour later you finish your rather early dinner, and look up at the other students around the hall. Most are chatting with each other, and it seems like people are making friends fast.>what do?
>>23793326Nope. We're a dude despite people trying their damndest to make a girl with a package.

So OP, is this quest going to focus more on the adventuring, or on the school?
>>23793583We could always ask Weiss.
>>23793596Shit, why didnt we think of that? I still stand behind my suggestion, but lets ask Weiss every question about seagulls we can think of at some point, so we can move on.
Turning your head this way and that, you look for an older student; hopefully someone you might be able to ask about the Headmaster & Mistress. Sitting at the table directly behind you, you can see a group of older students chatting amongst themselves. In the center of the group is an exceptionally tall girl with her black hair done up in a bun. Her facial features are rugged, and she looks like she could easily take you in a fight. Nervously, you tap her on the shoulder. The girl turns to you and smiles. "Hiya, new kid! What's on your mind?" Your heart stops beating. Thank god, you've found a nice one. Clearing your throat, you speak up. "Could you tell me about the two Heads? They seem like they've got quite a history." Your new acquaintance cocks her head, but nods. "Sure thing, what do ya wanna know?"

Before you can stop to think for a second, you blurt it out. "So, uh, who's on top?" As the words leave your mouth you cringe as you watch the older girl's eyes bulge. She spews the mouthful of water she'd just swallowed across the table. "Bahahahaha! My god, kid, you've got quite a pair. Wasn't expecting that from a new kid!" She slaps you on the shoulder, and it feels like a hammer blow. "The name's Constance, by the way. And you are?"smiling at the titan of a girl, you respond in like. "I'm James Thompson. Really though, what's their story?"Pursing her her lips, Constance furrows her brow. "It's a bit of a chore to separate truth from fiction, but the story goes those two built this place. It's 1000 years old, you know! Us Entwined live longer than normal folk, but that'd be absurd by any means. Still, they're the most powerful pair of Entwined ever. At least, that I know about." Constance finishes her speech with a dramatic flourish, and a mock bow."Wow!" You ghasp, amazed. "That's amazing!" Constance nods the afermative, and picks up her dishes. "Hey, see ya around kid, allright?" She waves enthuseastically as she walks away.Looking around, you can see that everyone seems to be putting up their plates. On the other side of the hall you can see Gwain guiding a line of kids up some stairs. "First year dorms this way! All first years over here!" Stahl, Marina and the rest of the new students seem to be scraping their plates clean and heading over to Gwain.>vat do?

Rolled 63>>23795351 here. I'd like to change my vote to go with the crowd and meet back up with Gwain.
Rolled 70>>23795316I vote for exploration.
Go to the dorms.
For a moment you consider splitting off from the crowds and going off on your own, but then you think better. Getting in line, you stand behind Anna, who gives you a quick frown. "I think she likes me!", you loud-whisper to Stahl, who's right in front of her in line. He cracks up and shoots you a grin. Anna mutters under her breath, but doesn't seem too upset. As you near the rubbish bin, Anna turns to you. Without a word she grabs your plate and scrapes it clean. Before you can wipe the shock off your face she's walking away, her long legs quickly distancing her. "What a strange girl...", you trail off, still confused. Shruging, you follow her and the other students up the stairs. With Gwain at the lead you are led up several flights, and finally into a large common room. The space is quite big, but nowhere near the scale of the dinning hall. The floor is covered by a sumptous, dark red carpet, and couches, tables and chairs are a plenty. Two large fireplaces blaze each side, dominating the room. To be frank, you think it looks fantastic.Gwain speaks up, his voice booming. "Boys dormitory is on the right, girls are on the left." The mountain of a man points to two spiral staircases. "Now, you're all old enough to know what men and women get up to. Well, Entwinement can cause some feelings and we won't get in the way of it. That bein' said, keep it on the down low, if yeh please." As Gwain finishes speaking, an astoundingly awkward silence fills the room. Clearing his throat, Gwain continues. "Listen, well, I don't like this more than you do, so I'll make it short. No fightin', no cheatin', and don't go out after curfew. Nice and simple, eh?" Gwain claps his ham sized hands, and turns to leave. As if on queue, everybody moves. Many other boys and girls head upstairs, but a whole bunch of others begin to mingle in the Common Room. You can see Anna and Marina head up to their dormitory, and Damien to the boys. Stahl appears to be mingling, and Marisa.>what do?

Pfftttt, you gals and guys. Here we go! Standing still, you pause for a moment, unsure what to do. Once again, your tongue starts moving before the tiny, rational piece of your brain can do anything. Snapping your fingers in comprehension, you speak. "I get it! He was talking about sex!" You finish the damning sentance with an absurdly proud grin. Silence. People blink, and look at you incredeously. Stahl is the first to break the silence, and guffaws. Seconds later, you hear Marisa let out a rather unladylike snort. The laughter spreads, and people return to their conversations. Even so, you can see a few frowns and piercing stare from the crowd. You forget those however, as the crowd with Stahl heads twoards you, smiling! "Pheww..." you sigh. That's the second time today you've gotten out of a potential disaster. Joining the crowds, you mingle for a while, trading stories and introductions. After a while, you see Marina coming down the stairs out of the corner of your eye. Turning youe head, your eyes bulge. Now in a dress, you're able to see much more of the sleepy girl than before. To say she is well endowed would be quite the understatement. "Woah!" You hear Stahl say, and nod your head. >>23796604I am of the fervent belief "The Talk" in this world is referred to as telling your kids about "The Gulls and the Sea".

Rolled 36>>23796957Yeah, bed is dumb. Not interesting, not even sensible in-character given the time of day.Unless Marina's not the only sleepyhead in this quest...

With every bit of false confidence you can muster you stide up to the two women. As you approach, they drop their conversation and smile at you, expectantly. "Hello, lovely ladies!" You say in your suavest tones. To your complete and utter surprise Marisa's cheeks turn rose, and Marina giggles. Quickly composing herself, Marisa folds her hands primly in her lap. "And what may we expect the pleasure of, Mr. Thompson?" The effect is rather ruined, however, by Marina, who waves wildly and grins. "Hiya, James! I can translate for you if you want!"Marisa splutters and coughs. (although it sounds very much like a ill-concealed laugh to your ears.) Casually, you place your arm on the side table and reply. "Oh, nothing much! I think I'll be heading up to dorms to set up my stuff. Of course, I realized I couldn't leave without saying goodbye to the two lovliest ladies in the room!" You finish your not-so-subtle flirting with a wolfish grin. Marina giggles, and it sounds like hundreds of tiny bells. "You're shameless James! Shoo! Off with you!" She slaps your shoulder, but you can tell it is in jest. As you turn to leave, Marisa speaks up. "G-goodbye, James." Her tone is much more subdued and you can't help but grin to yourself as you climb the stairs, leaving two rapidly reddening girls. Turning, you call out: "I'll be right back! Try not to run off while I'm gone!" And with that, you spring up the stairs, an excited smile on your face.>I think this is where we'll leave off for now, expect more tomorrow, and earlier.<3 ya'll, goodnight!
