You make your way back to your dorm, and into the workshop, where you pull off your omnitool, and get to work.

Some time later, tired, with Einstein babbling about light alloy fabrication, you finally put the casing back on. The omnitool whirrs, and then with the press of a button, it synthesizes a simple screw. It wouldn't be as something made of polycarbon, but it would be much better than nothing - or even manifestation.

Sitting back, you decide to take a break, and pull out the book Anna'd given you. You hardly get a chapter in when Summer comes into the workshop, dripping wet. She flopped over onto her side.

"... Hi, Heather." She said. "How was your day today? It feels like we didn't get to talk at all today."

It seemed that centaur society was simultaniously more savage, and yet more... wise, than you've heard of about ancient human society.
