Yes. Which is why challenging it directly is a terrible idea. Because they will murder you. Instead, you should create a school that accepts Schoolomance dropouts and teaches them as best it can while removing any incentive to back-stab and replacing them with powerful disincentives. If you have a few archmages supporting you at the start and are backed by enough 4th and 5th circle mages to provide a teaching staff we should be able to get going.
