Tale Of the Cowardly Knight: A One Thread Quest

Long ago, in the courts of a faraway king in a faraway land, existed a knight. This knight was much like any other, boasting a noble mind, a kind hand, and a tongue full of wit, and unfortunately, a fearful heart, which separated him from the others.

You see, this knight felt fear, in a land where knights knew nothing but courage and bravado. While others would charge, he would stray behind. While others would attack, he would defend. While others would fight to win, he would fight to not lose.

Of course, even with his heart, he could fight, if only to save his life, and managed to obtain his knighthood with the tip of a blunted lance.

Thus, we have our hero, a man devoid of any courage and bravery.

A man who will be known as the greatest knight in all the land.

>What was his name, again?

Ah, yes! That was his name, Sir Robin Chamblin, a knight who was so fearful, he would carry his weapons blunted, for fear of cutting himself.

Like all knights, Sir Robin Chamblin was sworn to the king's service, to act as his loyal commanders and soldiers. Every year, the court would convene, and knights from near and far would meet at the King's castle, to demonstrate their skill and strength.

And every year, he would go, fearful of incurring the king's wrath were his absence to be noted.

This is where we find him now, travelling along the roads of the country, a watchful eye out for any trouble.

And unfortunately, trouble is found.

Ahead of Sir Robin lies a a several unsavory fellows looting a travelling merchant's wagon, while the merchant himself is held down another bandit. The valley he is, was wide, but tall, leaving no clear way around these four men and their victim. Sir Robin hesitates, unsure of what to do, when one of the bandits spots him and approaches, a thick club in hand.

What does our knight do next?
>>
>>23361074
Preemptively throw our money at them, and hope we strike one of them unconscious with the heavy bag of gold coins. If that doesn't work get off our horse and offer them that, by staying a good distance away and slapping the horse's rear so it charges the bandits. Finally if that too goes amiss give them our finely crafted weapons, but not too close mind you, throw them so we don't get in range of those nasty daggers.

[switching to first person now.]

As the bandit approaches you, a sneer forms on his lips.

“this be our pass. If you want to get by, give us-”

“Here!” Cowardly as you are, you are not stupid. Bandits wanted gold, and that they would receive. You toss them the bag.

A little bit too hard. Your fear propels the sack of gold right at the bandits face, knocking him into the dirt. As the other bandits start yelling choice words at you, cowardice grips your body. Getting off of your horse horse to show you mean no harm, you then slap horse so it goes to them as a form of tribute.
Once again, your cowardice worsens the situation, as the hard slap sends the horse stampeding towards them, knocking them both to the ground.

In the midst of this confusion, the merchant yanks away from the last man, who looks at his fallen compatriots, then back to you.

"Wha-what did you do? i'll have yer guts for that!"

Oh dear. He might attack. Perhaps the gift of your sword will persuade him to take it and leave. Unbuckling it, you then toss it in his direction, hoping he takes it and leaves you in peace.

No such luck. The pommel hits his head, causing the bandit to collapse.

Four unconscious bodies are around you, and they might get angry when you wake up. That's not good. As you hurriedly run amongst them and pick up your items, the merchant comes, over, and bows.

“thank you, kind ser, for your assistance! I am deeply in your debt!”

This is odd. What do you do now? these bandits might awaken anytime soon, and you want to be as well away from here as possible.

"We should leave here now my good man! Providence is such a fickle beast, and I have not the heart to face it this day!"

You get back on your horse after taking the few coins they have, and turn the reins toward the exit of the valley.

The merchant spits on the bandits before stepping back in his wagon.

“bloody brutes. Sure you don't want to kill them?'

you think about it, but realise that if you kill them, they might send more after you. That's not good.

You shake your head.

"we should leave good sir, it seems luck is with us today and dreadful violence will not be needed..."

For the rest of the ride, the merchant feeds and pays for all of your lodging out of gratitude, and the two of you talk. The old merchant is Lucian a trader from the north. Like many, he travels to the King's Castle every tournament for a living.

“though, seeing your skills, ser, I might make more betting on you.” he cheerily says.

“now, now, that may not be such a good idea.” You reply, a faint sweat coming over you. You don't want this man to lose his money betting on you.

With that the conversation turns to other things, and finally, the two of you arrive at the castle town.

You can see a great deal of people, from merchants to artists, as well as a few other knights.

You turn to Lucian.

“well, this is it.”

“so it is, Sir Robin! Good luck and may the fates watch over you well!” with his parting statement, he carries the wagon away, and is swallowed by the crowd.

Crowds make you nervous, but luckily, they pay you no mind as you pass through the gates, the crest on your shield identifying you as a knight.

You will meet the king tomorrow, and it is only midday. the castle provides lodging for knights, but it is sparse. many choose to go elsewhere, or bring comfort with them.

What do you do now, Sir Robin, the town awaits?

You decide that finding safe lodgings is more important than anything else. That means no inns with too many customers, no being near a dock, and no shady person sitting in the corner. As you travel the streets, it occurs to you that if you could cover yourself with a bush, you could hide from most fights. You pick up some leaves and twine, and store them for later.

Finally, you find an inn. It's quiet, brightly lit, and surrounded by minor businesses that won't attract the adventuring type. You pay then fee, store your horse in the stable and quietly retire to your room, working on weaving the twine and leaves. You pass the night this way, and your efforts are rewarded by a rough poncho of leaves. You sit and eat in the empty tavern, go to bed, and wake up.

You need to meet the king today.

Pulling your horse out of the stable, you ride to the castle, carrying the banner of your family and joining the procession of knights waiting to enter the gates. In front of you and behind you are knights dressed in fine armor with multiple banner men, making you feel unusually conscious of your lack of wealth. As you proceed along the main road, the knights enter the castle proper, dismounting their horses and entering the gates. You follow suit, and as the king greets his loyal men one by one, you catch sight of a beautiful maiden.

The princess.

It's your fist time seeing her, yet you can feel who she is by that angelic aura around her. Her eyes meet yours, and you catch yourself staring.

You hurriedly turn away, fearful of incurring the princess's wrath. Oh dear. That's not a good sign. What if she demands her father to throw you in the dungeons? What's happening ahead? You crane your neck, and see the knights ahead merely bow, the king asks to see the sword, and they say something about honor and duty before taking their leave, without acknowledging the princess beyond "My Lady."

suddenly, the court announcer interrupts your thoughts.

“presenting Sir Robin of the Chamblin, first son of Baron Chamblin.”

You kneel deeply, and the King talks with a gentle, yet commanding tone.

"Give me your sword, sir Robin, so that I may see that your loyalty is bound to me and my kingdom."

You draw your sword, and present it to him. he takes it by the handle, and looks over it.

You peer up slightly from your kneeling, and see him looking with appraising eyes at the edge. The blunted edge. You see the king's sharp eyes notice it, and see his thoughts move.

he's going to ask about it.

"Sir Robin, you sword is blunt. Explain."

Immediately, you hear those around burst into murmurs.

Blood rushes to your face. What do you say? What do you do? Everybody is staring at you. and you start to sweat. How will you talk your way out of this one?

“Sir Robin, arise.” The kings speaks slowly.

Did you just mess this all up? What's going to happen? Did you disgrace your family? You stand to your feet, and stare at the king, whose eyes bertay nothing.

He hands you your sword.

“Very wise, Sir Robin of Chamblin, and well put. We are knights, not beasts, and the will to avoid needless bloodshed is what makes our souls truly noble. I look forward to seeing your skill in the tournament.”

The court creates some minor applause, and you feel relieved as you exit the grand hall.

It might be time for a rest.

You decide to retire to the gardens, for the banquet will start soon. As the sun drops, you hear footsteps in the garden. Peeking over the tall hedge you hid yourself behind, you see the princess.

Maybe you should leave now? There's a small servant's exit nearby you can duck into without her seeing. Or maybe you should stay, and apologize, and talk so that you do not incur her wrath.

The choice is yours, sir Robin. What do you wish to do?

If people saw you sneaking away from the gardens, they might think you were up to something. You stand up quickly and announce

You hear a small gasp of surprise, and then,

“Where are you, Sir Robin?

You groan inwardly. You frogot to step out from behind the hedge. You do so, and kneel before the princess.

“My apologies! I acted with haste!”

“Umm...Arise, Sir Robin.” She speaks nervously, and you get up, only to catch sight of her eyes once more.

The two of you stare, then both glance away again.

You immediately stiffen, and apologize once more, your nervousness make your voice louder than it should.

“Q-quiet down! You don't need to shout.”

“oh..er...my apologies..” You whisper, and try to walk away.

“Where are you going?” she asks, and you nearly jump.

“I believe that the princess wished to roam the gardens, and I shall not interrupt her with my presence.” you reply hastily.

“No, it's fine. It's nice to have another presence here. Too many are obsessed with war, sir Robin. Your presence is a sign that not all wish for fighting. It was refreshing when you presented your sword to my father, and said what you said. You do believe what you say, don't you?”

You turn, and give her the truth, for it is unbecoming to lie to a princess, and refreshing to talk with someone who dislikes fighting as much as you.

“Indeed I do, princess. I do not wish to fight in either this tournament, or on a battlefield. Were there no fights, and no need for knights or soldiers, the world would be a better place.”

“Truly spoken, Sir Robin.” she smiles slightly. “To-morrow, the tournament shall begin, I hope to see you there.”

You bow once more, then hear the call for banquet.

As you step out onto the field you can see the next opponents, standing in pristine white armor, hands steady. You, on the other hand, are twitching like a spider. The trumpets blow,

And the fight begins.

The Knight charges forward, letting loose a bellow of war.

Your scream, on the other hand, is of terror.

Lances collide, impacts are felt, and miraculously, you are left standing. As the week goes on, you win some fights and lose some, coming out in the middle, overall. You proudest moment was in the swordplay arena, where you found out easy it was to dodge around others and trip them. Perhaps it was your talk with the princess, but your fears help you stay up.

At last, the week comes to an end, and you are battered, tired, and dreading this final moment.

It's the grand fight. Two sides charge at each other in a mock war, with the last few fighting until only one remains. The fight is fierce and hectic with many receiving injuries and wounds in this last melee.

A merchant thinks you are plotting another way to win.

“DRAGON!” he screams, taking off in a hurry.

Dragons. Oh boy. You nearly faint, grabbing a spear to keep yourself up.

Oh gods. You have to protect the princess, who is high up in the castle. Or you could flee. Fleeing sounds so nice. Outside you can hear the dragon's unearthly roar as it terrorizes the town. What to do? What to do?

Run. You need to run and hide. Preferably with the princess in tow.

Mounting your horse, you bolt for the castle, spurs urging the horse to move like the wind. As you rush by countless peasants and guards, you yell at them all to run.

Dragons. Why did it have to be a dragon?

Entering the castle proper, you hop off your horse, dodging the catapults and ballista that are set out. You need to hide. These barrels out here, wrapped with spikes and filled with oil...if you emptied one, no one would know, and they seem so dangerous that no one would touch them. You empty the barrel and hop in it, pulling the lid on tight.

All around you, you can hear the screams and orders of guards and captains, while you cower. They can go ahead. At least you'll be safe.

Then you feel the barrel get picked up.

Maybe someone is placing you on a wagon, and driving out of the castle! You'll be safe there!

You feel the barrel get settled in.

Wait.

This is catapult ammunition. You're in it.

You bust open the barrel with a roar.

Surprising the operator, who pulls the lever.

You feel yourself get launched and feel yourself flying, cape billowing behind you. This isn't so bad. Maybe you can land in the lake.

Wait, why is that dragon getting closer?

Oh my.

You grab your sword and brace for impact, landing on its snout. You hear a roar and notice your sword is stuck in the dragons forehead.

It won't like that.

The dragon shakes and roars, and you can feel yourself getting twisted and thrown around. Nevertheless, you keep a tight grip on your sword. Tugging it, you feel it budge in the wrong direction, making the wound deeper. The dragon tosses its head once more, and you are launched skyward.

The dragon rushes at you, angry at the one who injured it. It opens its mouth wide, exhaling burning red dragonfire.

Lucky for you. The hot air pushes you away, but not far enough. The lower jaw will hit you.

Unless...

You try to hit the jaw as it comes up, to knock yourself away.

It doesn't work. Instead, the blade bites, and your weight against the dragon heading upwards causes it to slide downwards, tearing into it's neck and belly, releasing hot dragon blood all over your armor and blade, causing it to finally tumble out of the wound and for you to fall.

Thank heavens the dragon was flying so low, for you tumble at hit the ground, rolling and bumping along the road leading to the castle gate.

The dragon roars once more in anger as it hits the ground and slides across the cobblestones.

You pick yourself up, only to see a several-ton beast rushing at you.

On the castle balcony, they see a man pick up his sword, and rush towards the dragon.

What they don't see is the alleyway you're ducking for.

They stand, awestruck as the man charges.

They forget to give orders to the men below, who load another barrel, and fire.

You run. You're almost at the alleyway.

Boom. You hear the explosion behind you and feel yourself pushed over the oncoming dragon.

You sword hangs low, and cuts through the dragon, from head to tail.

Then you hit a hay bale, and your momentum is stopped.

The dragon is stopped.

The men cheer, and you breathe a sigh of relief.

Unless this is one of those undead dragons.

You sprint with fright into the castle gates, into safety, unaware of all those trying to pat you on the back.

You bust open the grand hall doors with your shoulder. the doors are thick. nothing can get you in there.

Wait, why are all these people here?

“W-who are you?” You demand.

The black-armored soldier laughs.

“You truly do not know? Good. I am the left hand for the Lord of the Moon, Ruler of all, and Conqueror of the West. If you let me take the Princess, I promise she will not be harmed, and will be returned once your King gives his lands over to my lord. Or, you may-”

Once more, you throw your sword, so that the man has it. And unfortunately, you throw too hard. The sword plunges through the breastplate, right through his stomach.

His voices screeches, like the sound of breaking glass.

The men charge, but the soldier snaps his fingers, pushing them all back with a wave of energy.

“How dare you. Once we invade, I'll make sure to kill you with my bare hands.” the man points directly at you, and snaps his fingers once more, disappearing in an instant.

All is silent. Then the king screams at the top of his lungs for his daughter, and rushes to where the man disappeared. But nothing is left but your sword covered in black blood.

“No...NO!” The king grabs you by the shoulders.

“Go after her! You're her champion, do something! Mobilize the armies to face his! Something anything!” the king collapses in a pile at your feet, and the general helps to pull him up.

“Rest, sirrah, rest.” he passes the kings to the guards, and looks at you.

“I can fight. But you...you slayed a dragon! Tell me, is there a plan you have in mind, Sir Robin?”

You plan? Oh no. How? You're no general, or leader. You shake you're head, and the general sighs.

“I cannot place all of our hopes on you. I will mobilize the troops, and fight like knights.”

Meanwhile, in the western battlefields, an army of knights march against the legions of the west. The soldiers are brave, and bold. Yet even them cannot help but fear death.

The two sides charge, and the battle begins.

For days, they fight, to keep their homeland safe, to keep their families safe and to keep themselves safe.

But ultimately, even the bravest realize that they are terribly outmatched.

The king orders his men to go, and save their families. This is not their fight. But it is the king's. And he will fight to the last. With that, he turns his horse, and charges.

The men follow, for they will obey their leader, and his attempt to save his daughter.

The small force charges once more.

And they charge with the force of the sun behind them.

For on the eastern hill, the sun rises, bringing a valiant knight upon his steed, a brilliant sword in hand, sunlight shining as if they were his wings. He descends, and once more the eastern forces pick up their arms, for the Brave Sir Robin the dragon-slayer is with them, bringing the burning sunlight.

You lunge with your sword in response, and the deadly dance of death begins. Riposte, parry, lunge. Every time the weapons meet, a resounding clang echos throughout the castle. Your battle carries the two of you across the grounds, along the battlements, and up the towers. Death is avoided by hair as you dodge, and you make your parries with all your strength. You cannot match his skill, but he cannot match your resolve, and the two of you are locked in this deadly duel.

“Who. Are. You. to. Match. Me?!” Each hit is punctuated by a blow, and on the last thrust, you move to block, but your feet slip. As you tumble to the ground, the black knight's thrust carries him into a stone wall, lodging the spear deep.

You pick yourself back up as the knight pulls the spear out, and wait for his next thrust.

Instead, he swings high and you duck.

The spear misses you, but cuts through a support, hitting him with a barrage of cobblestone and masonry.

You circle around him, but he's already got his guard up, picking himself out of the rubble. With a limp.

This could be your chance. You move forward, sword flicking and dancing, almost of it's own will. He attempts to block, but each block is weaker than the last. Finally, he thrusts forward too strongly, and you score a hit.He screams in rage, and you can feel the pressure of his rage.

He lunges with redoubled effort, and you back up into the banquet hall. His attacks drive past your defenses, and the difference in skill is made known. You are bruised and so bloodied that your sword arm is now a deep red. You swing, and the sword slips out of your hand.

Behind his visor, you can almost detect a sneer. Planting his spear in the center of the room, he rushes at you with his fists, and punches like a demon, each blow delivering a shock wave through your body.

Up the tower you go, as battle rages below. It's all so distant, so far away. As long as she's safe, that's all that matters.

You walk up the stairs, and hear you allies break into the castle below.

You ride home, and at the castle, you are greeted by a festivals and cheer, as all await the princess's homecoming. She cries tears at the sight of her people, and waves as she clings to your arm.

At the end, the two of you sit in her garden, watching the flowers.

“It's all over, isn't it?” She says, watching the petals dance.

You don't know what to say, so you simply reply, “yes.”

“It was like a dream, Sir Robin, when that knight abducted me, and I was placed in that tower. Then you came with your glowing steed, and saved me from a fate most terrible, even slaying a dragon that got in your way.”

“it was wonderful. You were wonderful, just like those heroes in the stories I've read.”

You see her look down at the ground, and start aimlessly drawing out a pattern with her foot.

“If this is all a dream, it'll end very soon. Even if it isn't...she turns, and looks at you with her eyes, both pleading and dreaming.

“Stay with me, Sir Robin, to the very end.”

Well, Sir Robin?

"Yes."
We appealed to the motherfucking SUN for her..

I think our Sir Robin has the right to be with her.
>>
>>23367848

Well done.
>>
>>23367888

Why, Thank you kind sir.

"Yes."

You utter your promise and hold her tight.

The sun shines overhead in pride, and that moment seems to last forever.

Then a scream pierces the air.

“Dragon!”

Oh no.

You rush towards the battlements, heading through the chaos as the ballistas and catapults are readied.

You can see it on the horizon.

A dragon, headed towards the castle, breathing black flame.

“where are you, Sir Robin? The moon has granted my wish to face you to the death! Face me, and I leave this kingdom in peace, or not at all! Refuse, and this town and its people will be torn to shreds! I await outside the town for your answer by sunset!”

As you turn to move, you feel the princess grab you tightly from behind.

“You promised to stay with me, Sir Robin! A knight would never break his promise. Please....”

She bursts into tears, crying into your surcoat

“Please don't go.”

A familiar feeling comes over you, one you have not felt in a while.

Cowardice.

How can you fight, knowing that you may leave a broken heart behind?

How can you flee, knowing that a town will be killed?

The choice is yours to make, and yours alone.

What will you do, Sir Robin?
>>
>>23367888

Why, Thank you kind sir.
Did you enjoy this adventure? I as sure as hell did..
>>
Rolled 74

>>23368007

Oh damn.. You, sir, are a cunning OP..

Appeal to the Sun!

Ask for the Sun to fulfill it's promise to you!

We were promised to never have to fight again.. And this Dragon is threatening to rip that apart.

Because, we all know the Sun is greater than the moon..

> inb4 God fight

Trip and fall into her.

On accident, of course.
>>
>>23368084

I have to agree, we said no more fighting.
>>
Rolled 1

>>23368007
Try to not fight. As hard as you can Sir Robin.
>>
>>23368315

That is the worst roll I have ever seen for such an important decision...

Fucking hilarious, that
>>
Rolled 61

>>23368084
You plead to the Sun, asking why, why must you fight, all over.

THE FIGHT HAS NOT YET ENDED.

But the sword disappeared. You reply.

BECAUSE YOU DID NOT NEED IT ANY LONGER.

What about this dragon?

YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SWORD BACK, DO YOU NOT? USE IT.

You pause. The sun is right.

TODAY, DECIDE YOUR FUTURE WITH YOUR OWN ACTIONS.

You snap back to reality.

The dragon is flying above the fields, and you have yet to make a choice.

What shall it be?

GM...

Lets go with this, right here.

IDC if it's early.. do it.

It is one of the funniest rolls I have ever seen.

Oh, and before we go..

Kiss that princess!
>>
Rolled 8

>>23368388
Obviously, we run away.

If the dragon happens to follow, well, we will deal with it then.
>>

we fight. We will defeat our cowardice, once and for all.

We have to fight, if we dont odds are the princess will get dragged into this as well.
>>
Rolled 56

>>23368465
We will practice our bravery away from the fortress, and the stabbing implements, and the dragons.

I'm sure the dragon will leave them alone. Trust me, broseidon.
>>
>>23368608
>>23368603
Really?
Now this is just ridicilous.
>>
Rolled 95

>>23368603
Dude, sure the dragon wants us, but it is totally a jerkface. I can totally tell he's just going to attack the castle anyways. If we mosy on to where it is less dangerous for us, it tends to be less dangerous for anyone we care about.

Trust me bro, I'm an expert in this field.
>>
Rolled 70

>>23368315

I still vote we go with this roll..

We shall try not to fight. As hard as we can.

With the roll of 1.

You kiss the princess, leaving her stunned. You take that moment to rush away.

It feels like only yesterday, you embarked on this journey. Yesterday, you were a coward. Yesterday, you dreaded a fight.

Today, it all has changed.

You grab your sword from where it hangs on the wall, and the shield of your family.

You put on your armor and surcoat, still damp from where she cried.

You slide on the helm, and buckle the weapons on.

You descend to the stables, and mount your horse for what may be the very last time.

The castle gates open, and you ride to the field, where the last chapter of your fate awaits.

The fields are a lush green, and the blue sky up above is clear.

Then a shadow descends and a beastly dragon lands.

“So good of you to come, Robin! Now I shall rip you apart like the bird you are!” it snarls, spittle and bits of smoke flying out.

You only response is to wheel around, and book it to the west.

As your horse runs, you can feel the dragon behind you, closing in.

You spur your horse on, until finally, you come the castle where you saw this knight last. It is empty, and silent. A single spear is thrust into the ground of the castle courtyard, and there you finally stop your horse, as the dragon lands, blocking your exit out.

"A fitting place for your death, Sir Robin. Here I shall bury you with the rest, and destroy your precious kingdom!"

You do not speak. You simply slap the helm of your visor down, and ready your blunt sword.

Today is either the yesterday of the next, or the last.

But no matter what it is, it will have been worth living for.

You charge at the foul beast, sword in hand.

Your intention is to not fight.

Your intention is to win.

At the castle, a princess weeps for her lost love.

A knock sounds at the door.

“G-Go away.” She blubbers between her tears.

The knock sounds once more, a bit more forcefully.

The princess attempts to wipe away her tears, and opens the door.

It is her knight, bold and brave. Her knight, tried and true.

Her knight, alive.

As he drops into her arms, she cries wordlessly. There is nothing to be said.

Now, at long last, the fight has ended.

As the day ends, tomorrow begins.

It is the day of your wedding ceremony. As you stare at your bride, she stares back, the two of you grinning in happiness.

The priest asks the final question.

You know the answer.

What do you say?
>>

"Yes. Always and forever."

She smiles, and Sir Robin and the princess kiss, becoming husband and wife.

And they live happily ever after.

This concludes the Tale of the Cowardly Knight.

Good night, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you very much for listening.
>>
Sir, your writing was glorious. Will you be doing others in the future??

The funniest part was the Catapult scene: The most emotional was the Crying to the Sun scene..

Thank you for using that, btw.. It was amazing.
>>
Great show, stayed up the entire night for this one. Will you be doing another one any time soon?
>>
>>23369149
I might. if you ever see the tripcode attached to a different name, it's most likely me running another game.

Thank you for your compliments, by the way, but it's all you players who helped make this story what it was. I just helped here and there.

anyone else have any/moe questions?
>>
>>23369185
Maybe one next weekend. Of course it may change, so don't hold me to it. You can identify me by the tripcode attached to my name.

for reread, and voting on for your pleasure.

>>23369248
It probably was writing all the fight scenes and sir robin's interactions with the princess.
>>
>>23369333

I like how he just became "Sir Robin" as the story progressed. That pesky Chamblin was dropped rather quickly.

It was a glorious ride, friend! With much laughter and such..

Sir Robin shall always have a place in my heart as one of the best heros of all time.

Oh..

What happened to the black knight?

And how DID the dragon die?
>>
>>23369380
It's a little bit fun if the death is left up to your imagination. and the dragon was the black knight.

Perhaps is was too subtle about that.
>>
>>23369404

I as sure as hell didn't get it! But nice connection.

Well, Damn good story mate! Hopefully I'll see ya soon..

I may or may not run under this name.. But if I do, it'll... obviously.. be me.

Anyway, goodnight mate!
>>
>>23369498
good night to you too. well, leaving this thread, but might come back in a while and answer any last questions.

Hey OP, I realize you probably are not still here, but I wanted to let out my peace.

I was in on the quest from the beginning, though I had to go to my Black Crusade meeting halfway through and just now read how it ended. I was the guy writing a lot of direct quoted dialogue. Really enjoyed it from my part. Your write well and the way in which you account for multiple posts affecting an outcome, even just cosmetically, was a very nice and engaging touch.

I will be looking out for you in the future, I hope you have many more great concepts like this one in your head.
