Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Succubi Quest! Made specifically so I can vent some steam off myself.

Last time we left off, we had a climactic battle against a group of Adventurers! The stations were reversed as you took control of the demons against the Adventuring party, and completely kicked their ass. With victory, we seized not only all of the snow Pirates for Queen Janine, but also the Adventurers themselves! While the Adventuring group was discussing with the group of how they were duped, Brooklyn also learned from one of the Adventurer’s minds that his father is actually alive when for all intents and purposes, should be dead! We now continue where we last left off!

[1/5]

“I-I’ll tell you later. Personal story.” You say to Mina as you wipe yours eyes and turn back to the to the rest of the group.

“Well, what are we going to do about these adventurers?” you turn around and ask the group.

Lamia has since stolen Miyu’s device, and is rapidly turning it on and off just when the Paladin speaks.

“Y.. C.. TR... M. PA...... DE... B... ONE... YO... WI... B. DEL..... JUS....” Pollack says screaming.

“I wanna keep the Paladin!” Lamia says as she continues to fiddle the the remote.

“Give me that!” Miyu says ripping the controller from Lamia’s hand and putting it back into her coat.

“Can’t we dispose of them?” Ada asks.

“EH!?” Uilosdir gasps at Ada’s reaction.

“What? There’s a chance you know of the location of the Astral Prison. If Celestia or Valavatosa found out about this place, we’d have no end to our troubles.” Ada states.

“You’re not familiar with adventuring groups, are you?” Sebastien says exhaling on his smoke.

“No, I am not.” Ada replies. “Care to enlighten me on your point Sebastien?”

“Alex, you seem the most martial minded of the group. Explain to Ada the repercussions.” Janette says.

“Yea. First thing they’d do is send a scouting party. Our Guild knows we went to see the Priest. If we fail to report back, then they’ll send a scout group out to retrace our steps.” Alex replies.

“B-but what if the Priest is evil?” Troy the Rogue asks.

Alex shakes his head. “Doesn’t matter. Hell, even if he is, he’d probably have every intention to help the scouting group, as he’d want to know what happened to us and the people we wanted to bring back as well.”
>>
[2/5]

“But don’t Adventurers get lost all the time?” you ask.

“About... one fourth of the groups are never heard from again. More often than not, the Guild likes to publish newspaper articles on the heroic tales of adventurers, their valiant last ends, which often includes locations where they fell.” Alex replies. “Annual book called the Dungeoneer. Read it *all* the time when I was a kid.”

“...I never knew how to read until I was 14...” Mina replies.

“With that language you write I’m not surprised.” Ada replies.

“Easier than English.” Miyu retorts.

“Getting back on track, we basically have an issue of that if we kill them, others will come. We keep killing them, more experienced ones will come.” Janette says.

“But of course! The more dangerous it is than the greater the reward!” Alex says.

“No, that’s called being a lemming.” Purple says.

“Either way, you’re stuck with a problem of increasing tiers of adventurers.” Roselle says. “It’d probably be better if we brainwashed their minds and sent them back.”

“Totally purging a mind of a person’s memories is fairly tricky.” Sebastien replies.

“Oh I can do that, but I doubt I can ever get rid of personal skills.” Janine says. “Unless I turn them into vegetables, Alex will always be good at swordfighting, Uilosdir will still know most of his arcane lore in time but will probably forgot where he learned it.”

“I meant more of the problem of people regaining the memories.” Sebastien says.

“...There’s that problem yes. I may be weak, but I can still effectively shred most of the memories.” Janine says. “The mind is fickle. You can shred a memory easily, make a person forget all but mere fragments, but even skilled artists can piece the fragments back together into something resembling a whole.”

“...So you’re saying brainwashing them won’t work?” you ask.
>>
[3/4]

“I could make it so that the chances of them locating us once more would be extremely slim. There is a chance that a very powerful being such as I, or at least on par with a Demon Count, could probably piece it together. But even then they’d have to know what they’re looking for.” Janine says. “Even then, it takes time to piece the memories back. You can put together a shattered vase, but if it exists in ten thousand pieces, but doing such a thing would take a great deal of time.”

“They also may recover it themselves, but usually only direct stimuli will make them recall the memories.” Sebastien says.

“Then just make them forget they were ever here and get if over with.” Purple says.

“B-but I like Alex...” Mina says pouting.

You merely give a sigh as you look at the group. “Alright, how mercenary are the lot of you?”

“...So long as I live and do not become a vegetable, I have no issues.” Alex says.

“I’m from the Divided States. Celestia’s opinions on demons doesn’t concern me.” Troy replies.

“I-I WANNA LIVE!” Uilosdir says standing up straight.

“I refuse to cooperate.” Bass the Cleric replies.

Pollack the Paladin flips the bird to you.

“Hm... I may have an idea.” Ada replies.

“Oh?” you ask.

“I make ‘Blizzarios’ sent out a letter, claiming that he has run afoot of foul adventurers. Naturally his bodyguards will come to a location, upon they meet the adventurers. We can easily say that both sides ended in a bloody duel, neatly wrapping up the problem of Blizzarios’s bodyguards and giving the scout group something to find.” Ada says.
>>
[4/4]

“Oh my~. What a delightful idea!” Janine replies. “Not many people can Question Fate, those that do will not see anything out of place as a fight really did take place!”

“You do have your mother in you!” Lamia happily replies to Ada.

“H-EY! W-WHAT ABOUT US!?” Uilosdir asks in a panicked voice.

“We were dead the moment we entered here fool.” Troy says.

“B-but I like Alex!” Mina protests.

“Mina, we understand that. But remember your duty as a knight. You cannot let anyone but the most trusted know of this place.” Purple tells her.

“Oooohhhh....” Mina groans, her face in a rather uncomfortable pose as she seems to think things over.

“Well I... Guess we don’t need all of them...” Ada says. “I’d prefer to cover *all* my tracks, but the Paladin and the Cleric will do just as fine I suppose.” Ada says. “The battle will just end in the bodyguards favor is all.”

“And the scouting party won’t be able to tell?” you ask.

“They’re scouts, not doctors my dear. So long as the bodyguard’s weapons are used to kill them, then they’ll send the report and that’ll be the end of it.” Ada replies.

“Well I... Kinda feel pity for Bass and Pollock. ...I mean Pollock is a bit an ass yes, but he always tried to do the good thing.” Alex says.

“Yes, yes you should feel immensely guilty at the prospect of betraying your team mates.” Bass says staring at him.

“Pollock thinks he does good only by the church’s standard, completely disregarding every other possible viewpoint.” Purple replies. “Maybe he can change? I’m not sure. But being is that I won’t lose any sleep over killing a man who has no value for any morals aside his own.”

(Anything else you want to ask? Or come to a decision?)

NOVA ATTACK!
Also the imp ritual and gravity scythe crusher extra still need doing but they're not forgotten as such.
>>
>>23343451

...I forgot Brodin... Crap...

...I'll see if I can remember something. But I'll add the nova attack.
>>
>>23343369
I do like Adas plan and would recommend it.

I feel a little bad for them but, eh, sometimes not everything works out as you want them.

So in short, sucks to be them.
>>
>>23343586
They could have avoided it all if they'd just listened to the angel. No need to feel bad about that.
>>
>>23343369
Voting for Ada plans, no way to trace them back to us better than a small chance they could regain their memories. Farewell adventurer, you were a stepping stone for our plans
>>
>>23343369
Send bass and pollock. The other adventurers are useful and those two are more trouble than they are worth.
>>
>>23343369
Busy washing dishes, but voting for Ada plans. (The one that involve all adventurer dead)
>>
>>23343542
ok I changed my mind, voting for complete Ada's plan.
>>
The ones that don't want to play ball are dead while the others go on their marry little forgetful way? Works for me.
>>
>>23343369
Voting for Ada plans, except letting Mina have Alex. One adventurer isn't that much of a loose end, especially when we have Janine's memory altering as a fallback.
Could also get Janine to mind-scan for any potential backstabbing from him too.
>>
>>23343369
Ada has a good plan.
I want to let the wizard go because he gave us such valuable information, even if he didn't mean to. Maybe we could get him to deliver a letter to dad or something. He seems like a massive coward who would do anything we say. I don't particularly mind if we kill him as well though.
>>
>>23343369
Do Ada's plan, but keep the Rogue, Fighter, and Wizard, we'll keep them close to home running missions for us after being reprogrammed, and if a Demon Count comes to town we've got all sorts of other problems.
>>
>>23343369
Have Bass and Pollock die, the others can be extremely useful for us, and Mina wants Alex for herself.

I want a goon squad, and if we keep them on a short leash we don't really have to worry about the direct stimuli thing or a Demon Count coming out of nowhere.

>>23343542
I like the Wizard, he's kinda adorable.
>>
>>23343965
I like him too, but in no way are we letting him give us the D.
>>
>>23343965

So... When the weakness to the mind wipe is that when they interact with something that reminds them of what was wiped it may come back it them, we want to keep them close to us and send them out on adventures? What could ever go wrong with that plan?
>>
>>23343369
Privately check with Janine to see how much effort it would take to enlighten the remaining adventurers, and what level of control we would have over them.
>>
>>23344021
We could subvert them, don't forget they only wanted to kill us in the first place as they saw us as the bad guys, once then learn that the world with be better if they team up with us, it should be simple.
>>
Yall motherfuckers needs some Aeric up in this motherfucker.
>>
>>23344031
>enlighten the remaining adventurers,
they are already enlightened.
>>
>>23344046
>it should be simple.
But life never is. Look at the last plan. It was to be simple. Grab a bunch of bandits but here we find a group of Adventurers stealing our stuff and then have to fight them.
>>
>>23344031
They're all enlightened already.
>>
>>23344070
No.
>>
>>23344031
They're already Enlightened in one sense of the word, they're all Aetherically capable, which is absurdly fucking rare, I honestly don't want to throw that away if we don't have to.

>>23344021
Only if we start bringing them to the Queens and showing off about it, and if we keep them close we can notice if anything happens. I think Janine could add some bits into their memories to explain to themselves why they follow us loyally.

I feel that the risks can be mitigated with a bit of work and the potential benefits are too large to throw away.
>>
>>23344070
We really do, love your work on by the way, reading the latest right now.
>>
>>23343369
Terrible idea but why not, ask Ada if she could forge a letter from the adventurers to the priest saying that they were investigating a demon attack on the raiders they had been sent to collect. They found all the adult raiders dead, but the children were missing (this should sufficiently tie into blizzaro while implying that the adventurers aren't aware of their foe's level of strength). Bad idea, but might buy us sometime to work on the paladin and cleric if we don't want to kill anyone.
>>
>>23344079
Huh, thought it was just the cleric and paladin. So the faustian bargain option is off the table...
>>
“I agree with Ada’s plan. How long would it take for you to get it in motion?” you ask Ada.

“Tomorrow at the earliest. Really I can send it out anytime after that.” Ada says. “The main issue is just putting the Adventurers in a place.”

“All of them!?” Mina asks.

“No. Assuming you guys don’t have objections to woking with us.” You reply.

“Working for a group of lovely ladies such as yourself? How can I refuse?” Alex replies.

“...So long as I get a hot meal then I don’t really care.” Troy replies.

“YES!” Uilosdir replies, standing up straight but still shaking like a building in an earthquake.

Bass at this point has his eyes closed, as if accepting his fate. Pollock can be seen screaming at his teammates, whom are deaf to his ears.

“Um... Aren’t they really hurt?” Mina asks.

“Hence why I suggested a day. The Cleric should wake up at that point, in where he’ll have time to heal up and tend to his comrade.” Ada replies. “The battle should be a bit one sided, but if we’re lucky a few bodyguards will die. After that, we make Sebastien do something like levitate one of the dead bodyguards or their weapons and kill the adventurers. Visa versa if the Adventurers actually win.”

“...And that’d fool the Fate Ritual?” you ask.

“Yes, as it was the bodyguards or adventurers who finished each other off.” Sebastien asks. “I’d doubt they’d waste such a powerful ritual on such a group though. More often than not they save them for the big name groups. Or people willing to shell out the cash.”

“...The Question Fate Ritual is worth something?” you ask.

“Oh yes. Assuming you’re willing to sacrifice one of their uses, you can find some people willing to pay quite a bit for them.” Janine says. “But I’m not sure what the market price would be today.”

(“Shall I plant a false story in their minds Brooklyn?”) Janine asks.
>>
>>23344070

I only found out you were writing such a thing today you bastard. Now I need to catch up when I still have Spinoza to read...
>>
>>23344221
>(“Shall I plant a false story in their minds Brooklyn?”)
yes, erase our faces, locations etc.
>>
>>23344221
I'd want to see them all dead but do so just in case
>>
>>23344239
Take your time. Theres quite a lot of it written. This dates back to 2008

as well keep up what you've been doing
>>
>>23344270
I want em dead too, but letting them live won, for some reason.
>>
>>23344221
("You probably should. Erase the location of the shrine from them, reprogram them to work for me.

We don't want them to start to question why they're doing what I say and obeying me. That could make it all fall apart. So come up with a good story to justify why they're working for me, maybe something about me saving them with the fight with the Bodyguards and Adventurers and them owing me their lives overlaid on a compulsion to serve me loyally.

This doable?"
>>
>>23344298
Because Sandact is listening to the chat again instead of the vote here.
>>
>>23344330
I got in the chat about 30 mins ago, we haven't been talking about this at all.

Besides, we get a goon squad now, who doesn't want highly competent minions, seriously, the fighter was on even ground with Mina, that's absurdly useful.
>>
>>23344330
uhm what? I am in the chat, and the only vote I saw was for the plan (2 in fact) and both of them voted in the thread.
The rest is off-topic stuff.
>>
>>23344330

No, I counted here. When I wrote that last update, I counted 2 votes of letting them all die compared to 5 of letting the Paladin and cleric die. I *did not* factor in voting from last thread. That was way too large and I could not tell who was who. So I made the "Should they live or die" vote for this thread.

I stopped somewhere around >>23343769
>>23343903 , >>23343965 , and then began writing. At that point the results were:

All: 3
The two: 7

At least that's the way I read it, which seemed pretty cut and paste to me. >>23343707 I interpeted as the two, as it lacked specification whenever he wanted all of just the two, so I going by his original post I assume he wanted Ada's plan while letting some live.
>>
>>23344484
I guess the dots didn't correspond to letters then. Don't have a clue how I missed 'demon' as a possible word though.
>>
>>23344597
>>>23343707 I interpeted as the two, as it lacked specification whenever he wanted all of just the two, so I going by his original post I assume he wanted Ada's plan while letting some live.
that is me, and I wanted the complete plan implemented (kill them all) not just parts of it.
Doesn't matter now. I now know to be more specific in the future
>>
>>23344453
Some of those are pretty vague on what they actually want to happen.

>>23344298
>>23344270
Where is the benefit in killing them? Keeping the three of them around to serve us gets us a pile of really competent minions, killing them gets us corpses. We are lacking in manpower, with these guys working for us we can use them to get money, to acquire bandits to feed to the Queens, help us in big fights, watch Fort Hope for us while we're out, lots of good uses for them.
>>
>>23344597
He was changing from letting some live to the "complete plan", seems pretty clear to me.
>>
>>23344662
Or we could enlighten some merc and have them bound to us achieving the same, with less problem. There's no reason to keep them alive.
>>
>>23344662
And bring in a risk of having their memories come back at very bad time.

The risk of keeping them alive simply is too high, in my book. Killing leaves no loose ends.

And we can always hire mercs from Fort Hope. (You know the thing it's well known for?) Once we have took the city over.
>>
>>23344681

I took the complete plan to mean only killing two. I mean, that is what the plan was...
>>
>>23344283
okay now I'm confused call me an idiot but what did/do you write?
>>
>>23344662
>Some of those are pretty vague on what they actually want to happen.
they seemed pretty clear to me. Especially considering I was >>23343707 and that is the "vaguest".
But, whatever.
>>
[x] Mindblank them, possibly throw Blizz's guards on their trail, then make sure the guards bite it.

Keeping some would not work, as it would still require a search to find where they went. But slapping a mindblank on them and then trying to manipulate Blizz's guards into heading after the party would possibly deal with both problems.
>>
>>23344714

Why are we still arguing about something that we already decided? They're willing to work with us here, so we didn't need to kill them. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
>>
Holy hell, I didn't expect this until next Wednesday
>>
>>23344737
See
>>23340083
>>
>>23344719
The plan was kill all of them but Ada guessed it would work with just two. And going from letting them live to letting them live isn't changing your mind, is it?
>>
>>23344714
Mercs anywhere near their level are absurdly rare and expensive. We are unlikely won't find anyone as good as them in Fort Hope. We can hire mooks from Fort Hope, but not an Aetherically capable adventuring squad.

They're willing to work with us already, the only head fuckery is so they don't know the shrine location, and maybe a bit of reinforcement of their loyalty.

We can keep an eye on their condition and make sure not to throw them at situations that reawaken some bits.

>>23344694
That's prohibitively expensive and difficult to pull off.
>>
>>23344772

You mean the guy who linked to a deleted post? gee.. I wonder why I might not know what his original position was...
>>
>>23344825
what is auto-update
>>23344791
The only difference between an enlightened merc and them is the "level" and that there is no memory for the merc to regain.
>>
>>23344825
Jesus fuck, is this about me misunderstanding?
here is the original post:
____________
>>23343369
I say eat the Cleric and the Paladin, and go with the Ada's plan.
The rest could live, only if their memories are earesd of our names, faces and Queen location.
But, it's up to Mina, Lamia or whoever if they want to eat or let them the rest go.

And no, Brooklyn doesn't care about the Wizard, we got everything we need out of him.
________
I deleted it because it's not relevant, and I wanted to implement the complete plan which I thought was to kill them all. ok?
>>
>>23344859

What is a waste of time. Looks like a vote for the plan, linked to dead post, move on.
>>
Just ensure the paladin and cleric bite it in the fight, the wizard, rogue and fighter might be useful in the future. Besides, we will need to investigate that priest to see what he is up to.
>>
we should try to get the most use out of them, but that doesn't mean we must trust them, we must do the opposite when we give them a job we'd put an imp on guard duty to make sure they aren't going to betray us or go against our objectives and we have already well tampered tools had whatever other control measure you can think of too.

>>23344864

It's no big deal dude. I just think it's stupid for people to be going, "Oh, that's OBVIOUSLY what he meant!", when it's not all that obvious. I'm not calling out your vote. I'm just saying to give Sand some slack.
>>
>>23344859
And the amount of work and souls we have to put in to get an Enlightened merc who won't be as good as the ones we have right here, right now, saying that they'd be just fine working with us.

All we're doing is making sure they don't remember this place and making sure they stay loyal to us. They still have plenty of reason to follow us without those, it's just to be sure, and we won't be exposing them to stimuli about the Queens or Shrine. It's hardly even a risk, especially compared to the benefit we get from it.
>>
(“For the best. Get rid of any information regarding you guys and the shrine here. As for the story... I’d like something that would undoubtedly cast us in a positive light. Maybe make up a story involving the snow pirates or some monsters overwhelming them. We rescued them, saved their lives, and therefore they owe us for it. We can easily make up the excuse that the bandits we drove off vanished into the city or the wild. Does that work?”) you ask.

(“Of course! I’ll just need some time to... How shall I say... Perfect a story for each of them. If I give Troy the same reason for help you, he may not want to buy it. I personally prefer softer stories, more fleshed out reasons and a compulsion to help you rather than hardwiring their minds to do so. First it takes much less aether to do so, and while powerful I do not have much, especially since the transformation for Erika will take most out of me. Secondly it makes for a more... organic sort of story. One where they question themselves less. Third... It’s just my little signature~.”) Janine responds. (“I’ll work something up with Sebastien. Should be able to find something that works.”)

How much longer is it until I can enlighten people?

(“Hm... I’d probably say enlightening a human takes half the aether needed for a Succubus transformation, give or take a little less. The issue is that while a demon transformation is naturally lasting, enlightening one’s aether is a continuous thing. You’d probably only be able to enlighten so many people at once.”) Janine says. (“But those that you do... Well their soul will be in your hands, quite literally. If they did something you did not approve of, then you can... apply discouragement. Those awakened often have free will, but you’ll always have the leash. But if you find someone loyal to you, like how Lord Langy is loyal to Blizzarios, than worrying about your minions needn’t be a factor.”)
>>

We don't even know the amount of work it take to enlighten someone, so I'll kindly tell you to shut up on the subject unless you are sandact.

Yes, the plan will still make them loyal to you, not Sebastien
>>

That's silly.

>>23345013
It pretty obviously would take more work to Enlighten someone than to use the guys we got handed on a silver platter, that's not exactly rocket science.

>>23345025
I can't think of anything else to take care of with the Queens right now. Bid them all farewell, get hugs from the ones that are willing to hug, tell them we'll bring them a new sister soon.

Also, we might want Brodin to clean this place up a bit, deal with the piles of corpses.
>>
>>23345025
Whatever, just move on to Erika. Can we at least not fuck that up?

We have a bandit or two still alive around the shrine or does someone need to pull patrol to the shrine.

NOTE TO ALL THE OVER REACTION PEOPLE:

I'm not saying we're going have her feed on them but if we do down that route we need it ready. I prefer to have things set-up before hand than go 'oh hey we really should had some bandits here' later. That is all.

Go to Erika.

Shall we bring Mina or anyone else along?
>>
>>23345187
Dude, once she's Succubutted we can do WHATEVER the fuck we want to her fate and we won't have to care.

Brodin said that if she got Succubutted he'd file a report with his boss and it'd be a while before they sent anyone after her if they even bothered doing so. And that usually they send out a rookie against an Immortal like this if they exceed the lifespan and let them fight for continued life.

She'll be fine, we can stomp all over the petunias in her Fate's garden.

>>23345255
I know that but for me simply turning her into a succubus doesn't really count as changing her fate, my question is what are going to do to change it?

>>23345365
Her being a Succubi and using aether will change her predetermined fate.
IF you are asking how we are going to help her? Well we can figure that out once we change her. I will imagine that we will spend more time with her, teaching her the ropes and such.
>>
>>23345365
Murder Langy before he does the sacrifice. We need to do it anyway at some point.

>>23345365
It's likely that she's supposed to be killed at a human sacrifice ritual. Things like that are the perfect opportunity for assassinations since it's highly secretive, everyone there is pretty much free game to kill (except the victim), and you don't really need to do much cover-up work to explain why everyone there got MDK'd by demons.
>>
>>23345365
I think the first thing we should do is have Broden tell us if her time of death has changed. If it hasn't then we need to do something.

Those who want to kill/sacrifice Langry.
REMEMBER Ada needs to take care of the post succession war, and grabs for power.
We cant get rid of him before that.

Succubutting Erika allows her freedom to mess with fate without having Brodin take care of her. The ritual may be averted, delayed or someone else might be chosen. If Erika is not around, then there would likely be a pause while Langly figures out wat do.

First, Succubus Shapeshifting is restricted to Humanoid Females, at least at our level. Second, at our level, and certainly hers, you can change your appearance, but anyone intimately familiar with the person you're copying will recognize you, Third, there's no way in hell Erika can pull off that level of mental fuckery.

“Well... I think I’m done here for the moment. I need to get our guest.” you say to the Queens.

“Guest?” Troy asks.

“You’ll see~.” Janine says. “Alright everyone! Get ready to hold the party!”

“Brodin! I need you to make the area... hell at least presentable.” you call out to Brodin.

“So then... Valia Benjamin takes all the damn credit for it, and he hasn’t stopped bragging since.” Brodin says to Oksana before returning to you. “Uh... O-oh yea. I probably should clean that area up, shouldn’t I?”

“If you’d kindly.” you say. You don’t want Erika to freak out over a pile of dead corpses. ...Also Janine, make a note to tell the other Queen’s to avoid saying what we needed to do for this ritual.

(“For the best, yes.”) Janine replies.

“That was a... rather interesting tale. Didn’t expect something *that major* to occur in the Underworld while we were gone.” Oksana says.

“Yea... I was new than a once in a ten thousand year event occurs. ...Oh I am so thankful that it’s all over.” Brodin says getting up.

“Well, I’ll send you two back then. Make all due haste to get back here Brooklyn!” Oksana says waving as you and Brodin are surrounded in a dense black fog. The last thing you remember is seeing Oksana waving at you.

******
>>
[2/2]

Upon waking up, you ask Brodin to dispose of the bodies, and probably drag the rest of them to other positions so they are not merely lying all over the place. In the meantime you begin your trek back to fort hope. It seems that the wind has picked up, blasting the area with the brutal winds of the unforgiving winter. The winds being so chilly that it seems as if they blast you down to the bone even with your coat on. Makes you wonder exactly how the mercs do work in this weather.

That little scoff with the adventurers seems to have delayed you a bit. You arrive at Fort Hope 10 minutes late to Erika’s meeting. You make all due haste as fast as you can in order to meet up with her, only stopping at your house to grab her the quick change of clothes you needed and an extra coat before you run off to the meeting place. You don’t have time to change into your dress clothing for fear to being too late.

You arrive at the spot to meet Erika, a building in the alleyway to the left of the bath house. Erika is frightened as you dash around the corner. At this point you’re panting heavily while sweating as well.

“L-Lady Sara! Those clothes!” Erika says, looking over you and your demenor before she starts to get worried. She’s dressed in clothes that are no fancy (compared to a noble), but still make her stand out a bit. “I-Is anything the matter!? Are we being followed?!”

"Potentially, can't be too careful. Had a busy day. Everything is taken care of.

Change your clothes, put on this coat, we're leaving the city, it'll be cold. I'll make sure no one tails us."

Get her to change, look normal, take a somewhat circuitous route, use Darkness control to make sure anyone following loses us in some corners and turns.

If we think we can disguise her appearance properly and take the gates out do that, we can use light magic to make her look different, in case they're looking for Erika.

Once we're outside of the city we head back to the Shrine with our new girl.

>>
>>23346080
We can use light control to change our line of sight. Bend light around corners, magnify distant things, etc.
I don't know if we're actually good enough yet to see very far through a crowded city, but hopefully good enough to lead a Soligram a decent distance in the wrong direction before ducking it into a building and dispersing it. If we do that while we're invisible it's going to be very difficult to follow us.

Presumably the invisibility illusion will make it look like the snow falls through us. Otherwise it's pretty shitty invisibility.

You know we can just put invisibility on Erika and have her follow behind us.

That would be a lot simpler and more effective, yes.

“N-nothing! J-just... a minor c-complication getting r-ready is all!” you say to her as you continue to gasp.

“L-Lady Sara please! Catch your breath!” Erika says running over to you as she helps you up.

“T-thanks... Erika... You’re a... good girl...” you say as you continue to make deep and slow breaths in between talking. You look ahead, making the alleyway ahead much darker than normal. “O-Over there... D-don’t worry... No one is there...”

Erika looks a bit worried for a second, before she begins to head over towards the darker section of the alleyway, taking you with her. You spend a few seconds getting breath back in order before giving a large sigh of relief. “Here... I got this for you. The wind picked up on the trip, so it’ll be colder than I originally thought.”

Erika takes the coat and puts on the coat. “D-do you have a plan to get me out of the city Lady Sara? I mean with... What’s happening...”

“I do Erika. It’s going to be a little... disorienting. I can’t say what, but you’ll know it. You need to follow me and not say a word until we’re out. Is that clear?” you tell her.

Erika simply nods upon hearing you.

As with Mina and Brodin before, you hold your hands out towards Erika and “shape” the light to flow around her rather than reflecting off of her. It takes about two minutes to do completely, but at the end of it Erika can only be seen as a shimmer at best. You then take Erika’s hand, taking it and giving it a squeeze. “Are you ready Erika?”

“Y-yea...” Erika says, giving a squeeze back.

“Then let’s go. I’ll go slow, as this is probably disorienting to you.” you tell her.

“...What’s disorienting?” she asks.
>>
[2/3]

...Oh right. She can probably barely see shit in this darkened alleyway anyways.

“...You’ll see. I’ll walk slowly. Now follow behind me.” you tell Erika as you let go and slowly make you way out of the alleyway.

Upon leaving the alleyway, you turn around and glance over your shoulder. Even with the shimmer, you can tell Erika is confused at first, before she looks down at herself... Or rather *through* herself then quickly stifles a shocked cry. You way a few seconds for her to get over the shock.

“...Hey Little E, you need to hurry up or you won’t make it in time!” you say, calling out to some guy on the street whom you can see through Erika.

“...Who the fuck is Little E? Who are you for that matter? ...Crazy bitch...” the old man mutters as he continues to walk.

It does seem however, that Erika gets the message. She begins to slowly follow you through the town. You make a small loop to the nearby park than hugging the outer wall before heading towards the exit, heading through a few long, dark alleyways with many exit points to throw off anyone who may be watching.

Leaving Fort Hope goes by smoothly, the mercenary guards being none the wiser of giving you an enterance pass.

“...A pretty little thing like you going out on a night like this?” the guard asks you.

“Y-yea well I needed to get some things for my friends who were camping so...” you tell them.

“I won’t stop you, but it’d be a genuine shame if I had to dig a pretty little thing like you out of a snow pile.” the merc says passing you the re-entry pass. You can tell by his tone that he’s more worried than trying to hit on you.

“My friends are nearby, I’ll be fine.” you reply as you begin to head off. “Thanks for the warning!”
>>
[3/3]

It takes about a solid 15 minutes before you’re confident that you’re out of spotter range for the Fort Hope lookout posts. At that point you drop the cloak on Erika.

“W-wow! Miss Sara, that was amazing!” Erika gasps as she sees her body return.

“Y-yea... It’s a little hard to maintain though.” you sheepishly reply. “Now come on, we still have a bit of a walk to go to while we’re heading there.”

Erika looks a bit nervous as you two continue to walk across the wintery wasteland. “I-I trust you L-lady Sara, b-but I’m still a bit nervous about this... What of my soul? W-will it still be my own? I-I won’t be... compelled to be a harlot or anything right?”

You don’t blame Erika for asking these questions. Having your mortal soul become a demonic one isn’t something that happens to everyone. Maybe talk about a bit more about Succubi before you arrive at the shrine? Or maybe let the Queen’s explain in greater depth?
>>
>>23346827

Talk while you walk. If nothing else, it will keep her occupied till we get there.

>>23346827
"Nah. See succubi have two different ways of feeding, we can passively feed off of nearby emotions, which requires plenty of people with high emotions and takes some time. Or we can drain someone of Aether directly via a kiss or a wide variety of sexual acts for a larger boost. A mortal will recover pretty quickly if you drain say a quarter of their aether, but if you take it all they will die. So plenty of succubi prefer to have multiple partners so they don't end up killing anyone."
>>
>>23346827
Talk as we walk, give her a reassuring hand on the shoulder, can't stop to hug her while we're moving.

"Your soul will be your own. You will still be Erica, you'll just have powers beyond what you do now.

You won't be compelled to be a harlot, your decisions are still your own. Though most Succubi do end up as pretty sexually open, just comes with the territory. It's pretty easy to run through all the Aether a single person can give you, especially as you get stronger, so we tend to pick up multiple partners.

You don't have to feed through sex and kissing, you can, from both genders actually, but you can also feed off of ambient emotion, with a large crowd with plenty of strong emotion it'll give you more than sex usually would.

You will get a full rundown of Succubi weaknesses and strengths when we get to where we're going. I wouldn't dare do this to one of my beloved students without fully informing them."

You slow down a bit so that you’ll be walking by Erika’s side. You then put your arm around her shoulders and rub her shoulder assuredly.

“Your soul will still be your own Erika. You’ll have powers far beyond what you normally do now, but you will still be, for all intents and purposes, you. No, you won’t be compelled to become a harlot. Your decision making process will remain the same. You won’t be instantly compelled to sleep with more men or do bad things anymore than you are now. Just that many Succubi are quite sexually open. It is fairly easy to run through most of your aether early on, easily more than a single person’s worth. So was we get stronger, we tend to pick up multiple partners.” you explain.

“Hm... I had a feeling that you were probably a Succubus back when I was waiting for you...” Erika says as you continue to walk. “Protina also said kissing or... making love to someone is a quicker way of draining their aether. D-does it make you... uncomfortable knowing that you’re draining someone’s life force? I don’t mean to imply you’re evil or anything, but doesn’t it hurt them?”

You simply give a chuckle as you rub her shoulder. “No... Aether regenerates fairly quickly in mortals. If you drained only a quarter of it, they’ll probably bounce back in a day. They’ll feel a little under the weather, but they’ll be no worse for wear. Direct contact may be one way, but sparking emotions is by far the quickest way. If you’re in the midst of a group who are all currently experiencing extreme emotions, then you’ll probably get a more steady meal without having to drain anyone. The emotional feeding of one person is.... is more like drinking water one drop at a time. But enough drops can become a torrent, and in time completely fill you.”
>>
>>23347542

[2/2]

“Well thats... reassuring.” Erika says.

“Don’t worry. We’ll probably have more of a rundown once we arrive at the location.” you say as you continue on.

It takes a little over half hour before you finally arrive at the shrine building. Erika is tightly holding onto you. Partly because of fear, partly because she probably can’t see a thing. Your calm demeanor must sooth her feelings. You wonder if you should anything before heading down. “In here. I have some... things to discuss with you before we begin this.” you say as you bring Erika into the building.

“W-What of Lady Sara?” Erika asks as she enters the building.

Once she’s inside, you make a small ball of light float up from your hand, floating next to you and bathing the room in a bright light, easy enough for you and Erika to see each other.

“As I said earlier to you Erika. I wanted to do this much later, but it seems fate rarely calls upon a moment of our choosing. When we go down those stairs over there, you cannot turn back. This is your absolute, last chance to turn back now while you still can.” you tell her.

Rather than being nervous, Erika returns your own glance with that of a fiery resolve. “I am more worried about Leona and David than myself. If this is the only way I can still... exist in some fashion for them, then so be it.”

You give a small smile and nod. Of course you’d expect her to say such a thing. “But of course. There is... Another thing I also wanted to tell you Erika. One on a more personal note.”

“...Oh?” Erika asks.

“My real name isn’t Sara.” You say taking off your hat. You begin your transformation into Brooklyn once more. Growing in height and filling out our dimensions more than Sara. Your eyes change colour as your hair chances back to it’s normal colour as well. You also let your other demonic traits out as well, including your horns, wings, and tail. “It’s Brooklyn.”

Erika gasps as she sees the transformation, starting at your demonic traits. “...W-wait! B-Brooklyn!? The Scholar for M-Mary Anne’s son!?”

“...Yes. It appears you know my name as well. I want you to know that even though Sara may be fake, what I said to you is not. I truly do love each and every one of you as my precious students. I do not want to see any of you die so long as I can help it.”
>>

It'll be the "new succubus hazing ritual".
>>
>>23348639

[2/4]

Erika just looks at your demonic form, her mouth open and eyes darting across your body.

“Yea... I-I don’t blame you for being pissed off at me...” you mutter, putting the hat back on and putting it down a bit so it covers your face.

“N-no! That’s not it at all! Lady Brooklyn, I can understand what you did! It would be foolish to do such a thing otherwise! If anything, I should be glad that fate, God, a council of anonymous sages, whatever made us meet that day! For if we have not, then the world as I know it for me would disappear forever on Thursday, and that to me is far more frightening than anything else the world can throw at me! Not because of death, but all that I’d leave behind!” Erika says, almost shouting to get her point across.

“E-Erika...” you say as you look at her with the same dumbfounded reaction she had with you.

“So please Lady Brooklyn... Don’t feel so bad about it...” Erika says, coming over to you and giving you a big hug.

You can only smile and return the hug back to her, embracing her with your wings as well. “Thank you Erika... Now let’s not keep them waiting, shall we?”

“Them? Who’s them?” Erika asks.

“The people who are going to transform you. The Succubi Queens.” you say as you lead her.

“Demon Queens!? As in more than one!? HERE!?” she asks in a shocked tone.

“I was just as surprised as you were, believe me.” you say as you head towards the basement stairs.

“How many!?” Erika asks, still having a hard time believing this.
>>
[3/4]

“Eight, and watch out for the steps. They’re iced.” you say helping her down, using your tail to wrap around the railing to avoid slipping.

“Just... Wow...” she says. “Why doesn’t anyone know of this?”

“Their prison is... special. Let’s just say that without direct line of sight, finding it is a massive hassle. Valvatosa has been looking for the Queens for years, and it was because of the shrine they’ve built that they’ve eluded capture.” you explain as you continue to head down with Erika.

“W-we’re meeting high demonic royalty... M-my word I am grossly ill suited for such an occasion!” Erika says looking down at her clothing.

You simply chuckle as you hear that. “Don’t worry. They honestly don’t care. In fact they’re... kind off putting for royalty.”

“What do you mean?” Erika asks.

“They have a certain sense of... humour persay. They’re more close friends with each other rather than royalty, moreso than one would expect.” you say as you walk across the construction area.

“Oh. Well that’s a rather charming feature than isn’t it? Much better than the other rivalries that happen all the time...” Erika says with a bit of disdain in her voice.

“Ha ha... I think you’ll get along just fine with them then. Watch your step.” you say, dimming the light orb but still allowing enough light for Erika to walk down.

“This pathway is... rather unkempt...” Erika says as she climbs down with your help.

“Yea it is a... bit of a pain. ...Probably see if we should clear it out sometime...” you say.
>>
[4/4]

Eventually you reach the bottom of the steps. You notice that Brodin nearly disposed of all of the bodies, with their clothing and other belongings in the corner. Even the blood in the room is now gone as well, including the smell returning that of old, stagnant air. Everyone is propped up nearly near Blizzarios’s armour, while Brodin himself is slumped over the altar of the shrine.

“...I hope they don’t do that again...” you say bringing Erika to show her the shrine.

Erika looks at you confused. “Do wh-”

******

“SURPRISE!” a crowd of voices cries out.

You and Erika jerk yourselves awake, only to find that standing/floating in front of a large buffet table. A large paper banner with the words “Congradualtions!” in multiple colours can be seen floating above the buffet table. The table is lined with nearly every food you can think of, most of which is probably old world style food. All of the adventurers are there as well, clapping all around you in a circle. ...Except Pollock the Paladin and Bass the Cleric which are no where to be seen.

(“I had to read their minds without them getting suspicious of why they’re here.”) Janine replies while still clapping.

“You... Couldn’t wait until I explained this place to her?” you ask the Queens. “Or show the Shrine?”

“Oh... Uh...” Oksana snaps her fingers, making a small model replica of the shrine.

“Uh... What? W-where am I?” Erika asks. “A-are you the Queens?”

“...Do I look like a Queen?” Troy asks holding a plate of food for himself.

[1/3]

You simply put your hand into your forehead and sigh. You should’ve know that they would’ve done something like this. "That's Troy, that's Alex, and that's Uilosdir, none of them are Queens, obviously. They're adventurers, they work for me now."

“T-technically we’re in astral space. Similar to outer space, but with fewer physical laws governing things here.” Uilosdir explains.

“I think you’ve already met Mina, AKA ‘Protina’.” you say indicating to Mina.

“Kon'nichiwwwaaa!” Mina says waving to her happily.

“...Pardon?” Erika asks in a confused tone while looking at Mina.

“She speaks Japanese at odd times. Over here is Ada, a Laminian.” you say indicating Ada’s direction.

“Charmed to meet you my dear! I’ve heard so much about you!” Ada says in a polite tone.

“...Is she your daughter Brooklyn?” Erika asks.

Looking back at Ada, you can a metaphorical dagger has just been plunged through her heart.

“...No. Laminian shapeshifting is... limited.” Ada replies.

“Pfft. Says you.” Lamia replies.

“You’ve never even HAD an adult body before! If you ever managed to get one, then you’d know how easy thing would become!” Ada spits out at her.

“...Never huh?” Lamia says cocking a sly smile. “HIPS! LEGS! BUST!” Lamia says sticking out her butt, legs, then chest, all of them growing to rather buxom sizes.

You and Ada’s mouths hang open as you see Lamia’s transformation of going form a young teenager to a near-perfect MILF in rapid order. Alex himself only whistles as he sees this. Brodin simply nods an approving manner as he sips a mug of beer.
>>
>>23349423

[2/3]

“So little girl... Still say I don’t know anything about being a woman?” Lamia asks, flicking her long light brown hair.

“So what! I’ve done the same thing before! Make someone believe that you’re an adult using mental magic! At best that kind of thing is only temporary and you need to apply it against everyone you meet!” Ada says.

“Oh no~, it’s all real...” Lamia says leaning over Ada, grabbing her hand and placing it against her ample.

“Ah... I... Wa...” Ada’s world once again seems to be breaking down in front of her once more.

“I-I’m sorry, this is just too cruel.” Oksana says as Lamia’s adult body disappears from view, once again showing Ada with her hands on Lamia’s chest.

“...Aaahhh! Ada’s a pervert!” Lamia yells running away with her arms in front of her chest.

“I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!” Ada screams in fury as she runs after Lamia with two knives.

“...Would you believe that’s Marina Langy?” you tell Erika as Ada runs off.

“EH!?” Erika says looking back at you.

“She is indeed Marina Langy. Laminians often make for good spies. In fact, it is often why many demonic nobles kept their children far away from any official business.” Janine says walking over to Erika, a slight sway in yet reassuring attitude in her steps. She bends over a bit to look at Erika face to face. “I’m so happy to finally meet you little Erika. You can call me Janine, Queen of the Ayarians.”
>>
>>23349431

[3/3]

“A-Ayarians? S-so I’m going to become one of you?” Erika asks, looking a bit intimidated by the woman.

“Yes indeed... Soon you will become a Succubus, just like one of us... But for now let’s celebrate this occasion hm?” Janine says giving her a pat on the head.

“I-If you say so...” Erika says, still a bit nervous.

The next hour or so, Erika calmly gets more acquainted with the Demon Queens. Mainly getting to know them through chat and questioning. It takes a bit, but she see soon warms up to them. You can tell that their rather casual atomsphere puts her at ease, and soon enough she’s even laughing along. She spends most of her time talking to both Janine and Purple. Mainly to learn of Ayarian strengths and weaknesses, and Purple as she seems utterly fascinated by her peerless martial knowledge. Even Alex puts aside his shameless flirting and pays attention to her. Uilosdir mainly talks to Oksana, being very interested in her vast arcane knowledge. Troy mainly seems to watch everyone, but is forced to enact when Lamia steals all of his money then starts running around with it.

(Anything you want to do before the Queens begin the ritual?)

[1/3]

You decide to head on over to both Oksana and Uilosdir, just to see what they’re talking about.

“Yea... I’d suggest Firebolt if I were you. It really packs a surprising punch for such a low level spell. More importantly, unlike other ritualistic spells, it scales in comparison to the user, so it’ll always be useful compared to flame arrow.” Oksana says eating what appears to be a sausage wrapped in a pastry.

“Yea but the explosion is what I’m worried about. Plus the higher level of Fire arrows launch in greater numbers.” Uilosdir says biting into an apple.

“The explosion makes up for it.” Oksana says.

“But won’t that hit other allies?” Uilosdir asks.

“If you apply a bit of the Fate principles to it, no. Check into the... Naked Singularity theory. When you know how to apply that to spells, you should be able to apply it to smaller area of effect spells without hurting anyone.” Oksana says. “...But that theory won’t do anything if you use something like... Destruction Rains from The Heavens. ...Well OK you can, but have fun ripping apart your entire Aether pool.”

“...Naked Singularity theory?” you ask as you approach them.

“From... What I’ve heard of it... The theory that improbable events become probable?” Uilosdir asks Oksana, seeming to think really hard of what it means.

“Yea... That’s the one. Miyians call it that, and I use their term for it. It basically involves the convergence of probability into a singularity of sorts. Miyians can grasp the theory a bit better, or explain in terms other Miyians seem to understand, but for me to understand it I had to spend a VERY long time at it. I... think I understand it... Probably... Really it’s one of those things a bit above and beyond most mortal skill level spellcasters.” Oksana replies.

You simply sigh to yourself. “Man, I feel like an idiot in this conversation.”
>>
>>23350485

[2/3]

“I wouldn’t say that Brooklyn. You’re learning quite well for someone who just got into the occult.” Oksana replies.

“Y-yea... I mainly spent years studying this stuff. I wasn’t of a noble house, so my station was kind of locked. When they found out I was enlightened, a local wizardry school took me and I’ve been studying ever since. I mean... I never even got out much. Most of my time was spent studying and practicing.” Uilosdir says.

“...So what controls do you know?” you ask Uilosdir.

Uilosdir shakes his head. “Enlightened humans don’t learn controls. I’m a wizard, we do... ritual magic in a sense. I basically prepare my spells ahead of time, then once I’m in the field I can fire them out on the spot.”

“Sorcerers and other elementally aligned begins know controls. Okarians and Greed Demons have a natural affinity to cast control magic.” Oksana says.

“Greed demons also have psychic abilities.” Uilosdir says.

“Yea, but in return their physical abilities are pretty much nothing. I think the tradeoff we get is better, but hey probably biased.” Oksana states.

“Ritual? You mean like the Aether Shield?” you ask.

“Hhhaaa... No that’s one spell that the Battle Mages are very jealous of guarding.” Uilosdir says giving a depressed sigh.

“Yea... Even I had to do a lot in order for the Battle Mages to give it to me.” Oksana says.

“Human battle mages exist?” you ask.

“They do yes. A Battle Mage is really anyone who combines both the magical and fighting arts into one style.” Oksana says. “It’s basically the one technique they’ve developed to cover the spellcaster fragility problem. Better yet, it allows them to still use nearly all of their close-range offensive magic at full power.”
>>
[3/3]

“Um... Doesn’t long range magic suffer for it?” Uilosdir asks.

“No, they can still cast it for a price. In essence, Aether shield projects itself around the user as a bubble. This actually deflects some of the damage, so that the user’s aether is taken away instead of one’s vitality. It projects the users unique aether signature to themselves very tightly. Casting magic at melee, short, or medium range is possible. But at long ranges the aether shield distorts the magic, reducing the accuracy and potency while increasing cost.” Oksana says. “You can cast it at long ranges, but most battle mages won’t bother. Those who learn space and still teleport though.”

“So you’re not as good in long range?” you ask.

“Battle mages were originally made in ancient times when mages were forced to defend themselves in urban warfare, often during sneak attacks when a main attack force was a way. It was shortly after this the Aether Shield was developed and the first battle mages were made. The shield allowed for common and inexpensive armours, such as leather and Hide, to be become as strong as plate.” Uilosdir says.

“Only if you know how to use it. The aether shield was leaked time to time, so to solve this they found a technique known as the ‘Concentrated’ Aether shield. This vastly improves the vitality loss to aether loss ratio.” Oksana says. “But even then, one needs to remember the Aether shield does not outright stop attacks like the Repear’s Nercrotic field or the Ayarian TK barrier. It stops a percent. Some Battle Mages still wish to do long range magic, so instead they just wear heavy armour. Not near as mobile, but it gives some excellent protection while allowing them to put whatever power that would've went to the shield into their devastating attacks."

i'd like to use Blizzario's armour and work on our axe skill just in case we need to not level a building, as for Aether shield i feel it clashes with range specialization.
>>
>>23351222

how about we see what Erika is doing at this time, and if she is free, ask her what she thinks of things thus far.

>>23351274
back-up plan; learn space control, gain ability to make portals, in-case of danger emergency portal to pre-determined location equipped with various aid materials.
>>
>>23351222

It's not about being a close fighter. It's about being able to take damage when we have to. I'd rather not get blown up the first time a demon lord looks at us funny because you think a shield means we have to go close range.
>>
>>23351307
>Melee
That's what Erika and (really) Mina is for. We should never be putting Brooklyn into a melee fight.

>work on our axe skill
If anything I would work on powerful short range attacks or even touch based attacks over axe.

we'd still need to cast it first, where as the armor would be passive

Erika maybe, but honestly with psychic powers she's going to be doing a lot of acrobatics, and she has a TK barrier.

Mina it doesn't fit well, she's a martial artist, armor would slow her down and throw her off.
>>
we could always keep the armor for whoever ends up as an Aide broken to us...

I stating more putting Brooklyn into melee in general, not just the armor.
>>
>>23351442
Oh, yeah, Brooklyn should try to avoid that if at all possible, but sometimes the fecal matter hits the rotating impeller device.

>>23351437
We could, but we should put it on after this anyways. We want to get started on changing its metaphysical signature to us instead of Blizzy. We can give it to Leona after we turn her, but that might be a bit.

We should at least still wear the armor. So it will bond to us.

That's also good point. It's not like we'll be wearing the armor 24/7. And who says someone isn't going to attack us when we're walking around town? It be nice to have a magic shield of sorts.
>>
>>23351489

It'll be easier to get the Okarians to teach space control than it'll be to get those that know the aether shield to teach it to us. Also at this point we'll have Leona to act as our bodyguard.

“Can any control do aether shield?” you ask.

“I’ve been wondering about that myself.” Uilosdir adds.

“It is... Odd... I’d say Spirit, but I have never seen or heard of it being casted with spirit control before. We don’t know as the origins of the Aether shield are lost. What I do know is that they can cast the ritual very fast. Usually involving some sort of body movement. It does have a minor con in that the shield consume aether at roughly the same rate one regains it. So they do not leave it on all the time.” Oksana says.

“The greatest misfortune a battle mage suffer is being caught flatfooted. Moreso than others.” Uilosdir says.

“Until they learn Time Control and know when a sneak attack will happen.” Oksana says.

You, Oksana, and Uilosdir continue to talk amongst each other about Aetheric theory and other magic related subjects. It’s actually a nice chance to really test yourself on the theories of it before you apply to apply it yourself.

The conversations for everyone goes on a little longer, before you suddenly hear Janine tapping the side of a wine glass. “Attention everyone! I have a announcement to make!”

Everyone quiets down, looking towards Janine which is now standing above everyone.

“Everyone... We’re all here for a very special occasion. Even those who seemed to come here by chance, were indeed brought here today by fate itself. But no, today isn’t about us. It isn’t about our Adventurer allies. No. This day is about our Lady of the moment, Erika Langy. We are here to elevate her today not because she wants to, but needs to. To escape cold, dark scythe of destiny that is looming over her shoulder.” Janine says, putting a hand on Erika’s shoulder, using her other hand to raise her wine glass. “For Erika!”
>>
[2/4]

“For Erika!” you all say taking a deep drink of the wine.

Erika can be seen only blushing red as a beet as she hears all of this.

“Time to get into position Janine.” Oksana says, handing her empty wine glass over to a confused Uilosdir.

Janine grabs Erika’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze as she leads her over to an empty space. “Are you ready child?”

Erika takes a deep breath before reply to Janine. “I don’t think I can ever be ready for something like this. But do it anyway.”

Janine gives a gentle smile and pat on Erika’s head before turning around to walk away.

Oksana gives her staff a little spin before slamming the base of it at the ground. Upon hitting the ground, an all too familiar large green magic circle spins out of it before it becomes centered on Erika herself. Oksana then claps her hands together, slowly pulling them apart. In the middle you can see a barely perceptible ball of purple energy, with bright green wisps flickering that sting your eyes every now and again.

“Spark’s ready Janine.” Oksana says focusing.

“Thank you Oksana dear. Wish I didn’t have to rely on you to jump start the ritual for you.” Janine says before you see her furrowed her brows, hand outstretched as the spark slowly floats towards her hands. She must be really trying hard to keep the magic spell in her telekinetic grasp. For it to strain her it must be really something.

“...Ah! I see! Oksana is starting the ritual for Janine since she cannot use magic, but Janine is still using her aetheric power for this!” Uilosdir states.
>>
[3/5]

The ball then floats into in between Janine’s hands. She once again furrows her brows, her body tights as she strains to pour her aether into the spark. Images of an occult pentagram begin flickering once more, long enough to see them but never enough to actually read the ruins. You watch this like a hawk. Now you’ll be able to perfectly see how the transformation ritual happens yourself.

“In the name of our Empress Pamille, I declare this woman known as Erika Langy to be known as an Ayarian Succubus. Lunatoris... Solatarin... TETRAGRAMMATION!” Janine says violently spreading her arms apart.

As before, the small green wisp floats lazily over Erika. Surprising everyone but you and the Demon Queens. It floats on over to Erika, at first spinning slowly around her, but rapidly picking up speed and soon enough it becomes fast enough to appear as a solid shell. The next part you didn’t see, as runes of the pentagram that Erika is standing in seem to produce small balls of orange energy that quickly fly over towards Erika’s shell. Spinning around it, but not as fast as the green one. Then, they violently begin to head straight towards the shell at a speed so fast, you blink and you miss it. Sixteen orbs can be seen impacting the size before the green shell breaks away into balls. Spinning around further and further away from a now dark orb. When the green orbs reach the end of Oksana’s pentagram, then vanish in addition to the black orb and the rest of the pentagram, completing Erika’s dark Apotheosis. You eyes gaze upon Erika for a split second, that she falls to her knees, as does Janine as well. When you look at Janine, you can notice drops of blood dripping out from her covered face.

Miyu heads over, handing Janine a napkin.
>>
[4/5]

“Thank you Miyu dear...” Janine says in a rather hushed, if pained whisper. She sounds like the kind of people who are terminally ill.

“Alright, hate to be a bummer, but Janine’s overtaxed herself. She’s got a headache and she needs to rest with near absolute silence.” Oksana says to the group in a whisper. “We’re sending Brooklyn’s group back.”

(“Janine sent me a message before the ritual. She’ll be keeping the Adventurers here until she’s well enough to brainwash them. Should only be a day according to her.”) you hear Sebastian say.

“Hate to boot you out of the party so fast, but Janine and her headaches are a fairly serious matter.” Oksana whispers to you all as as you are surrounded by a dark mist. “Congratulations Erika, and good luck!”

******

You slowly begin to stir as you wake up, peeling your face away from the floor. You doubt you’ll ever get used to this. Looking around the room, you can see the rest of your group waking up. You look over to the corner, seeing two bandits all tied up and sleeping. You think these are the snacks for Erika.

“Ugh...” Erika says muttering as she gets up.

“Oh! Congradulations Erika!” Mina says getting up and walking over to her and giving her a small hug.

“I... I don’t feel any different...” Erika says, before her eyes perk up. “W-wait... I feel something on my back... A-and what’s that against my le-” Erika stops herself when she places her hand against her tail. She can feel it, even through the outside of her clothing. “O-oh...”

“Oh your horns are so cute!” Mina says rubbing the tips of Erika’s horns.

“Mina, stop manhandling the new Succubus’s body parts already.” Ada lectures her.

(ERIKA HAS TURNED INTO A SUCCUBUS! SANDACT HAS MORE WORK TO DO! ERIKA LEARNED THE FOLLOWING!

AETHER AFFINITY: Erika can now use Aether!

Ayarian Aetheric Affinity: Erika can use aether for psionic abilities! Erika lacks the ability to do any sort of magic, including ritual magic!

Shapeshifting: Can appear roughly as any humanoid, but clothes do not shift and has some trouble appearing like someone else.

Drain: Same as Brooklyn/Mina/Ada

Demonic Resistance: Same as Brooklyn

Superstrength: She can punch with the force of a jackhammer and lift half a ton with her demonically imbued Strength

Psionics: Rank 2

Erika starts out a bit weaker than Brooklyn did, so only select two of the following, which will be gained at Average rank:

Pyro-Cyro Kinesis: Ability to heat up or cool down objects at range. Similar to Fire/Water control, but a little weaker.

Telekinesis: If you don’t know what this does, shoot yourself.

Telepathy: Same rank as Sebastien.

Incognito: Psionic Stealth. Same as Sebastien.

Precognition: Ability to see into the future, or future events.

Remote viewing: Ability to see things from far off. Higher ratings will allow clearer pictures and even sound.

Aura Sight: Same as Brooklyn

Psionic Barrier comes with more practice. PLEASE GOD SAY WHAT TO DO NEXT)

>>23352547
I doubt at low levels Erika would have that amount of finesse with her ability to do that, and even if that was possible than you could accomplish the same thing just about with pyro-cryo kinesis (burn/freeze the brain in the skull).

>>23352558
We don't even know if that comes with taking telekinesis, that could be a passive ability for all we know.

>>23352567
I agree, from a utilitarian perspective nothing really matches telekinesis, but the argument was that she needed something for combat, and at lower levels there is most likely a much greater return for taking pyro-cryo kinesis over telekinesis. Hell, I voted for taking telepathy and remote viewing, I think we don't need to take anything for combat yet. I think it would be safer for Erika to be able to avoid fighting by herself until she gets a bit stronger.

we know it doesn't come with the telekinesis because >>23352068
>Psionic Barrier comes with more practice. PLEASE GOD SAY WHAT TO DO NEXT)
>>
>>23352655
My biggest problem with that setup is that it's way too passive. I mean sure you can see an attack coming or hear about it by pulling it out their head. But when you /know/ you can't get away from it ... what's the point? At least with some type offense type power she can maybe do something about it. My biggest issue was picking from Precog or Tele. Tele is really nice but precog can be just fucking broken at times.

>>23352714
See I disagree, everyone needs some way to defend themselves. We're not always going to be together or in some kind of party.
>>
>>23352748

Or, you know, with Telepathy Erika can realize that someone is thinking of doing something/anything we don't like, and has Ada instakill them before they're even a threat...
>>
>>23352812
because will power doesn't stop mind reading... oh wait it does.

The problem with going purely sensory is that if you are ever alone.. you are screwed.
>>
>>23352833

Because 99% of the people in the castle will even have willpower.. Oh wait, they won't. I wouldn't be surprised if Langy didn't even have willpower. We need her for the courts right now. The rest will come soon enough.
>>
>>23352858
No you aren't. It's not like she doesn't have the necessary skill to use her sensory abilities to begin with.
>>
>>23352858

She's a brand new succubus even weaker then we were when we first started. If she's ever caught alone by something supernatural she's dead right now no matter what we pick. If she gets caught alone by anything non supernatural, she can crush them with what she has before she gets any powers. I don't see the point in combat powers that make no difference in any outcome.

“So Erika, how do you feel?” you ask her.

“Um... Excited for one!” she says feeling her own horns on top of her own head. “But other than that I feel... very hungry. ...What’s that tangy taste I’m feeling on my mouth?”

“Tangy means happy! You’re saying how happy we are!” Mina says while giving her a big hug.

“...Happiness has a... taste...?” Erika says, sounding confused.

“All emotions have a general taste of sorts.” you making another light orb with your hand, illuminating the area in front of you.

Erika jumps back as she looks at the shrine. “M-my word! What an elaborate shrine!”

“Yea... I’ve been meaning to try and study it in depth myself.” you tell her. “Now first things first Erika. You’re going to need some Aether.”

“So we’ve prepared you your very first meal!” Mina says, showing the two tied up bandits.

“Oh. So I go sit next to them and just eat their emotions?” Erika asks.

“WAY too slow.” you tell her. “We mean to suck out their aether.”

“W-what!? B-but they’re people!” Erika gasps, astonished by this.

“No. They’re beasts. This end is befitting for something of their statue.” Ada says scoffing in their direction. “Besides... You don’t want to accidently do something like drain David now... Do you?”

“N-n-no...” Erika says, shifting uncomfortably.

Ada tugs on her arm, bringing her head down and forcing her to look at the bandits. “They why not practice on things people will not regret missing in the world? You can feel it can’t you? That hunger inside of you... One that you’ve never felt before... One that’s making your mouth water as you stare at them now?”

[2/4]

You look down at Erika, seeing that she’s eyeing the two tied up bandits akin to the way a hawk eyes a rabbit before it takes flight. You can see that her own hunger is quickly winning over her self-control.

“This isn’t like Langy’s rituals my dear. We’re simply taking care of people who only know how to live off other human misery...” Ada says, but you think Erika has tuned her out. “Go on my dear... Go try some for yourself.” Ada then leans up and whispers into her ear, in a seductive tone. “You’ll love every second of it... I guarantee it.”

Ada then lets go of Erika and gives her a pat on the back. Erika herself walks over to the bandits, as if in a trace as she walks over. She leans next to a bandit, her fingers slowly going over his beard and face, a cat admiring its prey. The bandit slowly walks up, seeing only Erika’s smiling face... and her horns. The bandits face contorts into one of that of horror before Erika plants her lips onto his now thrashing body. You watch them as they become a yin and yang of sorts. One feeling pure terror while the other’s eyeballs nearly roll back into her head out of pure bliss. After about a minute, you see the bandits eyes flutter before finally giving out, but Erika keeps kissing. After the body is a hush of its former self, Erika then removes her lips, looking over to the next bandit who is now inching away from her as best as he can with tied legs and arms. Tears rolling down his face as he is too scared to scream.

“Don’t worry... It feels sssooo good... You won’t feel a thing...” Erika says, calmly sitting into the bandits lap, stroking his beard gently, almost like a mother to a son. “Ssshhh... Relax... It’ll be over before you know it...”

The man opens his mouth to scream, but is only met with Erika’s mouth.
>>
[3/4]

Seeing this yourself is almost surreal. Memories of your first drains come back to your mind, and how you acted during those. Blinded by hunger... Your newfound sensation of power... The sweet, intoxicating taste of aether and the way it spreads across your body... You can feel a small pang of jealously of her getting a full meal compared to you, but you quickly suppress it.

After a minute, Erika lifts her head up from the bandit. Heaving and gasping as her hands start from her collarbone and slowly run down the length of her front body.

“So.... How’d feel?” Mina asks coming up alongside her.

“...Fucking a-awesome... It was sssooo sweet... and the way it spread... IWWAGH!” Erika then notices she’s straddling a dead husk and quickly jumps off of it. You all have a good laugh at her reaction.

“It’s good that you enjoyed it! A Succubus NEVER forgets her first full meal!” Mina says pulling Erika up.

Erika gazes down back at the body before turning around back to you all, wiping her mouth. “S-so I have aether now right? I can use powers? How do I do shapeshifting!?”

“I’ll teach you the powers. We’ll need to see what you have first, but we’ll probably find out soon enough.” Sebastien says.

“Shapeshifting is... I... I think it’s kinda like muscles in a way.” you say to Erika as you begin to turn into Sara. “In order to do this, I basically clench my muscles, force them to contract. If I want to become bigger again, I do something akin to flexing.”

“You channel aether into your body. Just think of what you want to do with it, follow Brooklyn’s advice, and viola!”

Erika looks down at herself before you notice her face making a contorted expression. You wonder if she’s doing anything, before you do suddenly notice that her breasts are getting bigger. She used to be a B-cup at most, but now you can see her breasts swelling up faster and faster.

Drain: Same as Brooklyn/Mina/Ada

Demonic Resistance: Same as Brooklyn

Superstrength: She can punch with the force of a jackhammer and lift half a ton with her demonically imbued Strength

... How is she ever not armed?
>>
[4/4]

Ada simply sighs in digust, Brodin simply watches as he rubs his chin, and you cannot tell what Sebastien is doing behind the mask.

The bust continues to grow, Erika now putting her arms under it as to emphasis her growing assets. She gives them a test bounce with her arm just to see what’d happen. “Hehe... Now I’m no longer second place compared to Leona...” she says giving a small chuckle.

“You were jealous of your sister?” Mina asks her.

“Well... Yea... I mean she turned into such a beautiful woman. I didn’t turn just for this! I’m happy for her, but at the sam-” Erika is cut off when she can hear a small ripping sound in her fabric, stopping her growth when she’s just the same size as Leona. She looks down with a worried expression.

You can see that the dress was originally made for her, a slim yet very athletic girl. Not for someone like Leona’s size. The dress she’s wearing is straining to contain her. You cannot see rips, but you sure as hell heard one with everyone else.
>>
Suggest that she might want to get looser clothers if she is going to try for any ... bigger.
>>
>>23352956
Soligram a covering to preserve her modesty, if we can control said dress, give her a quick grope with it while we do.
>>
>>23352956

Now, now dear. You'll get the hang of that with time. How about we go back to my place and we can all have some tea?
>>
>>23352956
Someone needs a new bra.

Lets dial those back to their natural state and work on putting your new features away for now.
>>
>>23352956
Get her into a hug, cover us both with our wings sneakily grope her a few times as we give her a kiss.

"Yes, yes, Erika my dear, my new sister, you can change your bust size, it's new and interesting.

There are two problems, first, they don't fit on your athletic frame, you're even hotter when natural, second, people will notice when you show up and your tits are twice as big as they were the day before.

Now we have a lot of things to learn, but I'd rather not spend it in the shrine, we can head back home, I'll make tea."

Before we go BE SURE to get Blizz's armor and put it on. We can cover it with illusion to get in in the gates.
>>
>>23352956
"Eventually, when you get good enough at shapeshifting your clothes will change with you."
>>
>>23353014
seconding this
>>
>>23352956
Ha. I really do feel bad for Ada at times. Honestly, poor ... umm ... lady. Yes that would be good word to use.

Now then, lets get her back to normal and head back to town. The question is, should she head home with Ada or maybe we all stay up a bit at Brooklyns and have tell some stories. Though Brooklyn doesn't really any to share.
>>
>>23352956
Put on the armor.
>>23352938
>David
Who's David?

also this
>>23353014
>>
>>23353061
Some guy that Erika knows in the Langy household I think. Might be a boyfriend or something like that.
>>
>>23353061
>Who's David?
sound like Erica was a boyfriend
and grab the armour
>>
Make sure Erika knows not to try anything unusual with David. At least wait a week, after things go down.
>>
[1/2]

“Yes Erika... You can alter your bust size...” Ada says.

“What? It’s normal! Hell! When I first turned 13 and learned how to shapeshift, I was walking around in an adult body for weeks!” Mina says giving Erika a pat on the back.

“Erika, there are two problems. First, those don’t fit on your athletic frame. You look better when you’re natural. Second, people will notice when you show up the next day with your tits nearly four or five cup sizes larger than they were the day before.” you say.

“Well I always wanted to see what having big breasts would feel like!” Erika says defending herself. She stands upright, looking down and using a hand to lift up a breast, testing its weight. “...I’m amazed Leona never complained about back problems...”

“Well we have a lot of things to learn, but I’d rather not spend all of our time teaching you in this shrine area. Let’s head back to my place, I’ll make some nice and hot tea, and...” your eyes drift over to Sebastien, whom is currently kicking Janine’s statue. “...What on earth are you doing?”

“Getting the girls present.” Sebastien says. You can finally hear a door open. “Here it is... Just like she said...”

“Oh! What is it what is it!?” Mina says.

You can see Sebastien reaching inside of the statue, grabbing it, and pulling it out. As he walks around the statue, you can see him holding a large, black, triangular shaped object about three feet in length and a handle at the top. “Hm... Psi-saber... Hope the PLS system on it still works...”
>>
[2/2]

“Psi-saber?” you ask, wondering what else the Queen’s possible have hidden.

Sebastien grabs the handle and pulls out what appears to a normal bastard sword, albeit one that appears to become thicker and thicker until it reaches the bottom. The silver sheen of the blade shines brightly in the reflected light, appearing razor sharp even after all these years. “Hm... Weighty heft... Yea this’ll take some skill to use.”

“It looks like a normal sword though.” Ada says.

Sebastien walks over to the wall, holding the saber in one hand as he prepares to swing it. As you do, you can hear a sharp whistling sound, growing loud and louder. You then look the sword, noticing that it is now glowing a bright green colour, energy extending out just a bit beyond the blade. Sebastien swings the blade, and it seems to effortlessly cleave through the concrete wall in front of him, leaving a deep glowing orange gash as he does so.

“...The PSI Blades Psychokinetic Link System, or PLS, is able imbue the blade with Psychic power. When used like this, it is capable of severing the very bonds that hold matter together, in addition to the very corpus that spirits use to hold themselves together.” Sebastien says as the blade goes back to normal, putting it back in its triangle sheath. “My parents used a few of these blades. I know ‘em when I see ‘em. Janine gave it as a gift to the new kid.”

“M-me!?” Erika asks in a surprised tone.

“Yup. Enjoy.” Sebastien says throwing it to her.

Leona reaches out to catch it, nearly tripping over as she does, but manages to balance herself once more.
>>
And... I think that's it for the night.

Feel free to use the rest of the thread for voting on Erika's powers or other debates.
>>
>>23353265
>Leona reaches out to catch it

Holy shit! It's Leona! I can explain all this! Really!
>>
>>23353265
>Leona
wut

>PSI Blades
Neat.

>>23353279
I think you've got all the votes you're going to be getting for powers, at this point.
>>
... a light saber.

She got a friggin light saber.

If we had gona ayarian we could have had a light saber.
>>
>>23353302
I'll take reality bending powers any day over a light saber.
>>
>>23353294

Oops. Meant Erika catching it >>
>>
>>23353279

I think we've established telepathy and precog. Especially with a lightsaber for the people saying Erika needed more to defend herself.
>>
>>23353302
It's not quite a light saber.

Besides, if we wanted to, we could just make a lightsaber with our light control, I'm surprised we haven't actually done that yet to be honest.
>>
>>23353324
>I think we've established telepathy and precog.
Please don't do that. That's just beyond rude.

Count the votes and move on. Whatever the vote is ... is what it is. If people want to change votes they might want to do it now (along with linking to their vote).
>>
>>23353337

Maybe because we've got absolutely no skill with swords? A light axe, maybe... Nah. Let's just stand back and shoot shit instead.
>>
>>23353324
thought it was precog Telekinesis with people arguing for precog telepathy but not having the votes
>>23353337
>we could just make a lightsaber with our light control,
first we'd make alight axe because we know axes and not swords, second that would be melee and we are ranged specialist
>>
>>23353363
At least until we learn the ways of the Okarian Battle Mage™, that is.
>>
>>23353376
And why do we want to be a battle mage again? Honestly, preferring arty mage more than that.
>>
>>23353353

Well, the precog part is pretty much a shoe in. As for the telepathy, I think it had a bit of an edge on TK before the lightsaber part. With the lightsaber it seems to cover most the objections the pro TK people seemed to have to picking double info. That's why I wrote that.
>>
By the way, have we ever learned what the bonus for Brodin's gravity scythe crusher upgrade was?

>>23353391
Versatility. If we know how to do it, we aren't forced to use it, but it's always there if you need it.
>>
>>23353376
Why would we want to be a Battle Mage? We have numerous meatshields for that.

I'm not saying don't pick up some skills so we can cope in melee and don't get pasted immediately, but still, we're happiest when we're blasting away from a distance.
>>
>>23353396
Again people voted. Count those votes. If people wish change votes now that she has a psi blade fine. But saying 'we've established telepathy and precog' is just bullshit. Why even hold a vote if you're going to do that?
>>
>>23353404
>Versatility

See, I see that word as a trap. Jack-of-trades master of none tends to suck at all. I would like to see us focus on a few controls and make the most boomy type of support we can. Let others cover what we can't.
>>
>>23353420

I'm not going to break out notepad and add up the votes, but by eyeballing it it looks to me like telepathy has the edge. You can bitch about it all you want, but Sandact can read it all for himself perfectly fine.
>>
>>23353450

Considering how much easier it is to learn low level skills as opposed to high level, I'd like to get a bunch of skills to at least average/good, then worry about the focus skills of light, dark and occult. No need to get the other skills past good really, but why not take a couple of days to do the easy levels of each?
>>
13 precog, 9 telekinesis, 7 telepathy.
>>
>>23353554

Correction. I meant to say light, dark, occult, and tea. I can't believe I forgot the tea..
>>
>>23353565

No need to count. I'm sure Sandact will do his own count. It is a pretty tight vote between the two either way.
>>
>>23353554
I'd rather have one skill at great than seven skill at good
>>
I was liking Telepathy...but with that I think I want to swap to TK. Because sending that through the air with TK would just be too much fun.
>>
>>23353649
she can always train Telepathy it's just she doesn't start with it
>>
I like Telepathy and precognition. Might as well have one person here that actually knows what's going on.
>>
>>23353265
Nice sword! I can;t believe the vote for the girls powers is still going on, but I'll change my vote from Telekinesis to Telepathy if I get to swing around a sword like that. *These are not the demons you are looking for*
>>
>>23354628
> but I'll change my vote from Telekinesis to Telepathy
lol now we're back to were we started
>>23353649
>I was liking Telepathy...but with that I think I want to swap to TK.
>>
Umm...first time reading this quest (Still going through most of the previous threads) but I'd vote for Telekinesis and Precog? We have a lightsaber, we might as well be a proper jedi.
>>
>>23354651
What can I say? That sword screams Jedi mind tricks.
>>
>>23354686
>Jedi mind tricks.
>but force push, and force choke
the problem is just that there are 3 powers we want but can only start with 2
>>
>>23352632

Ada's instant kill ability is tricky for her to pull off. Works VERY well when it does though.
