Been busy the past couple of days, but let's get back to the swing of things. Will start from around 5 to 7 pm on weekdays unless twitter says otherwise.

------------

You are an amnesiac viking man, currently nicknamed Dio, who finds himself, along with hundreds of others, trapped in a strange forest outside of a mysterious and foreboding city, Morrisburg. You also discover that you are a stand user; somebody capable of summoning a representation of your inner self capable of granting you incredible abilities. After surviving several attempts on your life, you meet up with the mysterious Lisa Lisa, who tells you your purpose here and assists you settling in. You find out that you've been gathered here to participate in the Ivory Tower Run, a race to the top of the tower in the middle of the city. Those who reach the end are granted a single wish, if you can survive the perils of the city and each other that is.

The race starts on the day after tomorrow.

Now however, you're getting shit-faced with your new 'big brother', a charismatic man named Kamina, in some seedy bar-tent in the tent city of Camp 7. You two sit behind the counter, and he regales you with stories of his adventures, both before and after coming here.

"And then BAM, right in the kisser!" he says boisterously, punching the air in front of him. You both laugh, and Kamina takes a long gulp of his drink. "So, what about you, do anything interesting before getting here?" He asks.

Glad you could join the party jojobro

You rub your beard sagely, and when that fails to help you recall anything, you take a deep swig of booze. "Well... I do remember something about the sea." you begin. "Great battles, celebrations, hardships, whatever the context, it's prominent in most of my memories."

Kamina pats you on the shoulder. "Don't strain yourself, the awakening sickness fades and soon you'll remember everything." he says, then takes a drink of his own. "For better or for worse."

Still, something was not sitting well with you. You look over to Kamina who was getting into an argument with the bartender, an older looking woman, about getting more booze. She handily knocks him on the head with a roll of paper, but still leaves a bottle for the both of you. He's been telling most of the stories, but only of his adventures. It occurs to you that he hasn't mentioned much past that

>Aaaaaaaand we're back.

You were little then. The other men on the galley towered over you, and you had to scurry about to avoid being trampled while doing your responsibilities. You'd think being a warchief's son would afford you privileges, but in reality it only made the hazing worse when more is expected of you.

You'd do the wrong thing and you'd be beaten.

You'd do the right thing and you'd be beaten.

You'd do absolutely nothing and you'd be beaten.

Life wasn't fair. And then one day you thought you'd had enough, and you struck back. If only he hadn't slipped.

If only...

You didn't mean for it to happen, you just wanted it to stop.

Only that it did, and you'd be scarred for life.

You killed your father, you realized.

"Hey, lil bro." Kamina says, snapping you out of your thoughts. "You okay?"

"I made my first kill when I was 5." You say plainly.

"Oh?" Kamina says expectantly, "Who was it?"

You take a drink. "It was my father."

"Oh." he replied more solemnly. "What happened?"

"He hit me." You said gruffly. "And then one day, I hit back. You'd think I would have gotten hell for that one, but it was the opposite." you say as you sighed into your drink. "The men on the galley celebrated me for it. My uncle said it was an honor to be slain by one's own son, and that it proved my birthright... But I saw how my father died. There was no honor in it for either of us."

It was fun when one of the first things you remember clearly was patricide. Silence fell between you two after that, and more than once Kamina opened his mouth to say something, only to shake his head and stop. You figured he was looking for something to say, but it was nice to know somebody was trying. Instead, he just patted you on the back, offering a toast.

"Well, that's in the past." you say cheerily as you clinked his glass with yours, and both of you downed your drinks in a long gulp.

"Hey." Kamina says, trying to get you to think of something else. "There was a reason i was arm wrestling so much people you know."

"Boredom?"

"Besides that." he dismissed. "I was looking for somebody who had potential." Kamina filled his glass with more booze, then dipped his finger in it.

"Potential for what?"

He smiled. "Spiral energy." Before you could ask what he meant, the liquid in the glass started to swirl around his finger. "No, this isn't my stand. This is something completely different and special. And out of everybody here, you're the first one I found with the potential. I could teach you, if you'd like?"

> Spiral Energy is for all effects and purposes the Spin. If you recall from the earlier quests, you had the choice to talk to the old man (Wil Zeppeli) or Kamina. It was from there that it was established you would either learn the ripple or the spin and acquire your mentor figure. Don't worry, we'll be over the top soon enough.

You scoff, flexing your arms in an impressive display. "I've no need for your puny magic tricks!"

"Magic?" Kamina laughed, slapping you in the back and winding you in the process. "Spiral energy is far from magic, lil bro. It is the basis for evolution and the infinite well that all beings draw on. It's the frame of nature and all living things." He says, drawing a fist back. "Though some beings can tap into it in a more direct manner." With that, he punched the counter, and the wood gave, causing it to rip and twist on itself, as if it was being wrung by an unseen force. "Why do you think I'm so strong even if I'm not as muscular as you are?"

Before you could answer, the bartender loomed over the both of you, murder gleaming in her eyes and Kamina seems to realize what he's done. "Umm... Book it lil bro!"

He grabbed you by the arm and both of you storm out of the bar, the woman throwing things at you and hot on your heels.

"Gah! She's gaining on us!" he panics.

The two of you go deeper into the camp, but the bartender was relentless in her pursuit of you. "Bah!" you say as you skid to a halt.

"What are you doing?" Kamina asks.

"We stop her here and now!" You say as Tryggr the Warrior's Code appeared beside you. "I'd sooner be damned than run from a woman!"

"Wait-!" He yells, but you ignore him as you face down the woman, ready to fight.

It was then that something crashed in between you, causing dirt and debris to kick up in a cloud of dust from the impact. The Pillar man, Dedringer rose from the crater, eyeing the two of you impassively. "The camp is a non-hostile zone." he droned, then pointed at you. "I detected the intent for battle in your heart, Dio. You as well, Kamina; Did you think I'd let you run around my camp and do as you please?"

"Attacking you?" The woman huffed indignantly, throwing a bottle at you. "You idiots wrecked my bar!"

Dedringer narrowed his gaze at the both of you. "Is this true?"

Kamina shrugged. "Well, er... Maybe?"

The Pillar Man simply nodded sagely and planted his hands into the ground. "Dio, you are new here so I will be lenient in your punishment. I will even let Kamina help you."

"Punishment?" you ask, though Kamina looks more annoyed than nervous.

"Not again..." he groaned.

"I am Dedringer of the earth!" he says, as he strained his arms. "The very ground is my domain!" Cracks started to appear on the ground, encircling you and Kamina. "You will have time to think about what you have done..." Suddenly, he lifted his arms, hauling with him a huge portion of the ground that you and Kamina were standing on. "during the long walk back to camp!!"

Before you could do anything, you and Kamina were launched into the air, soaring over the camp and heading deep into the forest.

"Relax!" Kamina says cheerily as you reached the zenith of your ascent. Then you feel the shift of velocity in your stomach as you start crashing back to the ground. "No, seriously relax. You'll break more bones if your body is all tensed up like that."

Your uncle pats you in the back as you both watch the sunrise in the burnt down ruins of the village that you had just sacked.

"Well done, J----! A successful attack!" he says with pride. "Your father would have been proud if he could see the man you are today!"

"Thank you, uncle." You say gruffly. Yes, a man who has slain dozens of defenseless people for their valuables. When you were little, you dreamed of conquering mighty foes from far away lands so that all may know your strength. Now? Now you feel no better than a thief. You follow your uncle as he leads you to where they have gathered the survivors. They were men and boys, mostly. The women and girls have been taken as spoils by the others.

>>

You take the axe and look into the eyes of fear, rage and confusion of the surviving villagers. This was the harsh reality of life, you tell yourself. Maybe what you were about to do was even a mercy. You gesture for two of your companions to grab one of the men, and they made him kneel in front of a large rock, his head lying on top of it. You step beside the kneeling man, who looks at you with disdain and spits at your feet in defiance.

You furrow your brow and swing. Blood splattered.

Then you felt a sharp pain on your shoulder, jolting you awake.

"Argh!" you roar while Kamina pinned you down onto the ground with a foot. You look to your right and see that your arm was curved in a horrible fashion.

"Don't get up just yet, I'm not done healing you." Before you could ask what he was doing, he knelt down and punched you in the shoulder, and you feel a rushing force course through your body. Your arm started to twist and snap back into it's normal shape. It was long and far from painless, eliciting many roars of pain from you. Afterwards, your arms still felt bad, but it was in a far better state than it was before. "There ya go!" Kamina said as he dusted his hands off and pulled you up to your feet.

"Thanks." You say as you looked around your surroundings. You were deep in the forest again, the canopy blocking out the sunlight save for the little rays that permeated through branches.

"Well, knowing Dedringer I reckon we're about half a day's walk from getting back to the camp." Kamina says as he hops up to a tree to get a good vantage point of where you are. "So while we're here, do you want to reconsider about learning the spin?"

> You and Lisa Lisa seem to have mutual interest for one another, but nothing's happened past a kiss on the cheek.

"The spin? Is that what you used to heal my shoulder?" You say, rotating your shoulder experimentally and finding it a bit tender.

"Yep." Kamina says, jumping down from the tree. He turned around and punched the trunk, causing a spiral shaped dent to appear on impact in an explosion of bark and splinters. "It also does a lot of other neat things. To understand the spin is to understand the nature of life and the limitations of your body, and let you surpass them." he said, cracking his knuckles. "Like I said, few people are sensitive to it, and fewer still are able to learn it. I think you're one of those people."

"Then sign me up." Your mind goes back to the incident with the Joker earlier in the morning. He may play the fool, but he was dangerous. You were not entirely sure you could beat him the way you were now. "If it means making me stronger, then all the better."

"Wonderful! I can teach you the basics while we walk."

"One more thing. I've made an enemy of the Joker." You say, causing Kamina to perk up an eyebrow in interest. "It'd be best if we kept our guard up out here."

"We'd have to keep our guards up regardless of the Joker." Kamina said dismissively. "He's not the only psychopath that prowls the forest. Now come on, camp is this way." he said, starting to walk in a certain direction.

You step up to follow him, then suddenly remember about the thread wrapped around your beard. You hurriedly check to see if it had been blasted off in the air or the crash, and were relieve to see it still there.

And it was pointing in a completely different direction from camp. Lisa Lisa was in the forest again, you realize.

Lisa Lisa, what have you gotten yourself into?..

As a truely Manly man, we are honorbound to assist a Lady in any situation.

Explain this to Kamina gruffly, then head off to Lisa Lisa.
>>
>>23311113
>>23311126
Lisa Lisa.

She was just a girl that you met last night, but the two of you kicked it off pretty well for a couple of complete strangers. You liked her, you say to yourself. She seems to like you too, or rather has shown some kind of interest in you for one thing or another. She had said that the reason she was always in the forest was that she was looking for her father, but there might be more to it than that.

Then there was that business with the Joker, how he was stalking her. Lisa Lisa, what have you gotten yourself into? You think to yourself.

"Big brother, there is a lady in this forest that I feel honor-bound as a man to check up on." you begin. "It might be nothing, but-"

Kamina raises a hand to stop you mid-sentence. "Say no more, count me in." he says, not bothering to know the details. He picked up a leaf from the ground and handed it to you. "We can get your training started and the more danger we pass, the more it might manifest." he says casually.

You hold the leaf between your fingers, a confused look on your face. "What am I supposed to do with this?" you ask.

"Put it on your finger tip and make it spin."

"How can I-?"

"Less questions more spinning." Kamina replied, cutting you off again. Then sighed as you just stared at him blankly. "The spin is strong in people of powerful convictions or beliefs, may they be in truth, honor, justice or otherwise. Channel those thoughts and focus on the leaf. If you are what I think you are, the rest will come naturally."

The two of you walk along the forest for the better part of an hour now, and all the while you were balancing this tiny little leaf on your finger with the look of concentration on your face.

You meditate on your pride. You are a warrior. A gentleman. A brother and comrade. You meditate on the clash of steel against steel and the sting of wounds against your flesh and soul. You know pain so that you could surpass it. Your path will lead ou straight into the heavens, among the many legendary figures of your age.

The leaf twitched, and then broke apart into two pieces, causing you to jump in surprise and Kamina to laugh.

"You got a reaction from it. That's a good sign." he said as he plucked another leaf and handed it to you. "Try again." he said encouragingly.

You frown but accept it anyway. You were deep inside the forest now, and you check the thread on your beard and see that you were still going in the right direction. Maybe you were too distracted, you thought, but then again Kamina would have told you to stay in one place if distractions were detrimental. You close your eyes and try again.

You meditate deeply on the meaning of combat. On the heat of battle, the high of blood and the rush of anger. It is what you glean from your memories as they resurfaced. It is our nature.

The leaf twitches, spinning erratically for a few rotations before stopping.

"Not bad, but it could be better." Kamina says as he observed your progress.

"Thanks." you reply, checking on the thread once more. You've been walking for a while now, going deeper into the column of trees that seemed identical for miles apart. Still, the thread pointed in that one direction. Where was Lisa Lisa going?

You feel a hand on your shoulder, and you turn to see Kamina with a serious expression on his face, urging you to stop.

Before you could ask what's wrong, you hear screaming off in another direction. It was shrill. Perhaps a woman, or maybe even a young boy. It just barely carried over in the air.

"Help me! Somebody please!"

Then you hear the ominous howling of wolves.

"Well said! Well said!" he replied, cracking his knuckles. "The trees are too thick in this area, we might not make it in time."

"C'mon then, let's take the direct route!" You say.

The two of you share a knowing look, and your Stands project in front of you.

Without another word, you rush towards the direction of the screams, knocking down anything and everything that got in your way.

"Let's go, big bro!" you say as you punch your way through an outcropping of trees.
