http://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/23072794/

Previously on Blatant Fetish Quest, our protagonist, Max Power, learned that 'he' was actually a female with male genitalia, as a result of having a deadbeat incubus as a father. Three years later, Max, now extremely fit and a martial arts hobbyist, boards a plane for Romania to enroll at the prestigious Scholomance, a school for magic. You befriended a fellow student, Liz, on the plane, and decided to stay with her in Paris for an extended layover. On arriving in Romania, you learned that the Scholomance is extremely deadly and that only half of each class proceeds to the next grade each year.

You joined the Lotus prestige society, befriended Dane, a fourth-circle Lotus, and Lin, a prospective Lotus in your same year. Upon arriving at the Scholomance, a city-sized school hidden in a cave that's bigger on the inside, you discovered a tower and found an incubus who's probably your father chained up in the basement.

You're currently trying to balance Dextra Domini, rivals, commitments to your society, relationships, and studying while trying to survive.

You just got done bonding with your father, Liz, and Lin.

What do you do now?

Study conjuation

go meet with Sam then study conjuration
>>
>>23246185
We need some energy, or rest. Either drain Breakfast, or do some tantric sex with Liz.

Once we're done, study.
>>

Liz can help.
>>
>>23246185
Either energy or rest. After that, study. Either, we should finish off Conjuration, or work further on Enchantment.

Hey Femcock, just wanted to let you know I've just finally got caught up with the whole quest in a single sitting, and I've really been enjoying it thusfar. You're doing great work.

I appreciate it. Anyway, I'm going to go eat real quick, I'll make the next post when I get back.
>>
>>23246185
Study some more on Alchemy, it's our second most important school, have Liz study her Sorcery or Conjuration, we'll sit naked on a couch together studying like a sweet couple, and fuck after we're done studying.

Meditate on alchemy.

Discuss the Heart of Power with Liz.
>>
>>23246185
Study Alchemy, Alchemy masters would quickly become rather overpowered due to their ability to have multiple rechargable foci for their other skills, plus healing is nice.
>>
>>23246522
I love your quest too. also your rule system, which is quite elegant, I find. Would you mind explaining how rule progressing in an ability ? I get that you are filling the little square, probably faster if we have critical success, but how many time do we need to succeed to have a full square? and does higher level square harder to fill?

You have a bit of a rest, sitting in a chair with Liz in her lap and stroking her hair for a while. Once you're feeling less wearing, you kiss her until she stops dozing. "Let's do some studying," you say. "I want to get some alchemy done with that new book we got from the library."

"Okay," says Liz, frowning. "But I really want your help with Enchantment later. I don't like not knowing how to do something. I only have a week to impress the Society of the Archmagi."

Roll Mind to study. The intermediate book gives you a +1, so I'll take the first four rolls.

You're feeling like an idiot right now. You can't seem to focus on the study material. You keep finding yourself fondling Liz instead of paying attention, and she's starting to get frustrated.

"Well, if you don't want to study Alchemy, how about you tutor me on Enchantment, then?" she asks in a huff.

What do you do?
>>

Rolls have been particularly atrocious in the past 30 hours or so, from what I've seen of F/SA and BFQ. F/SA had like seven Nat 1s in one damn thread. It was hilarious and awful.

I think we came to a general decision last thread, though I fear if I say as such the argument will start up again.

1: Vampire Lord Blood & Incubus Jizz, Enchantment specialist

2: Fiery Sorcery specialist (possibly dragon blood and phoenix ashes, or something similar if we can't get those)

3: tentacles and lactation, to remind everyone that this is Blatant Fetish Quest. I suspect Kraken tentacles may be involved, and breast milk from something.
>>
In regards to the Dryad seeds, I've been wondering if we couldn't find a sort of Speak With Dead spell for the Dryad. Not an attempt to actually resurrect her, but maybe just a way of communicating with her consciousness?

If it's feasible, I think it might be nice to conjure her up and ask if she has any wishes regarding her seeds. Not to mention, she might have some insight on how best to care for their growth.
>>
>>23247854

Max has horrifying nightmares of being chasedk. These are so vivid she leaps out the window in her sleep, and lands on a completely random 20ft iron spike, impaling her. streaks in the sky mark an unfortunately timed meteor shower, which hits max directly in the head. On the way to the funeral, the hearse crashes and the coffin slides down a hill into alligator infested waters. The alligators consume the body, and die several months later through pollution of a nearby factory, which closed down soon after, causing 3000 manual labourers to become unemployed.

It's late, we should sleep.

And even planting a regular seed requires more care than just putting it in the ground.
We have to get an idea of the right temperatures, the right lighting, the appropriate depth, etc.

Bu-but musclegirl minotaur futa dryad with big milky tits D:
>>

Besides, I have a sneaking suspicion that the Incubus Jizz will make our first Dryad a futa.

That just means we can fuck her up the ass as she screws her sisters. And she still has a mouth so we can teach her all about blowjobs.
>>

I for one welcome our vampiric goth futa dryad.
>>
>>23247930
We need at least one who's particularily good with gardening (earth+water elemental, maybe a monster that has something to do with the sun, or the ashes of the other dryad).

I think we should find something more for the enchantment specialist. That Vampire Lord, in addition to being an asshole undeserving of feeding one of our dryads, wasn't powerful... Maybe succubus blood ? I bet we can buy it somewhere.

And making a plant monsters with breasts and tentacles everywhere doesn't arouse me, even though I do havee a fetish for lactation and do not mind tentacles.

I think we should concentrate on growing tentacles ourself, and just make push the lactation thing on this dryad. But then again, we lack a good fertilizer for that.

It was powerful at enchantment, but that's it. Dad said it would take a very long time for him to break a vampire lord, if at all.

It had fucktons of thralls and got Liz with a complicated trigger mechanism one without any trouble.

>>23248135
Dad and Lin are done by now, probably, and Liz isn't necessarily going to sleep.
>>
>>23248119
We could go on forever if we keep arguing. Vampire Lord + Incubus Jizz was the general consensus for the enchantment specialist last thread. We don't have access to enough different resources to be overly picky.

>>
>>23248268
We won't get a demigod if we throw too much stuff at them, doesn't work that way, it just dilutes it, Domino said that overloading them just meant that they never lived up to their potential on most areas.

>>23248323

We're already giving it a double whammy of things that are good at enchantment. There's a point where it's like "Okay, I get it, this is what you're trying to get across" when you're explaining something to someone. Redundancy is unnecessary
>>
>>23248358
Seconded, before we have another 300 posts of arguing over what to put in.
>>
I just want to see a nightshade Dryad, is that too much to ask?
>>
>>23248326
As long as we keep a theme it should be okay.

Ah, I know a good monster we can expect to find here that would make the dryad better yet at enchantments. A mushroom monster that provokes hallucinations. There's got to be something like that in this town.
>>
>>23248360
>>23248369
Three is not much bigger than two, you know.

>>
Can we just shove the dryad seeds up Breakfast's ass and be done with them?
>>

We don't have the other ingredients yet, and I'd rather not put us on a time limit to gather them, or we might end up having to make do with crappy items.
>>
>>23248435
This.

The damn seeds are almost as bad as the buxomize pills.
>>
>>23248415
At best, it will be better at illusions.
Mind control and seduction are not the only things we need an enchantment specialist to do.
The same way a gardening dryad needs more than either a water or earth elemental.
>>
>>23248461
Buxomize pills?
>>
>>23248465
This isn't a matter of discussion, Max asked Domino earlier, who we specifically asked because he raised a Dryad and researched it extensively.

He said more ingredients doesn't improve things, we'll just end up with a Dryad who's powers are substandard and spread thin.
>>
What powers did the late dryad student have?
>>
Ok, we have three dryads.

What do we want them to do?

>Gardener Dryad
>Bruiser Dryad
>Fetish Dryad
>Enchantment Dryad

What else? We can cut the lis down as we decide what we want, and thus influence our choice of fertiliser.
>>
>>23248476
There was a /tg/ story about a DM throwin Buxomize pills (an expensive magical item from the Princess Maker games that gives your princess larger tits) at his party that almost led to a TPK when they started arguing over it.
>>
>>23248502
We don't fucking know. We saw her in passing, ONCE.

Now let's plant this one seed and use the ingredients we have and get a bitching Enchantment specialist instead of bickering about adding more random stuff, which will not help us, or waiting just because we want them born at the same time, this just means that they'll have older/younger sister dynamics which makes it hotter.

Plant seed with blood rag, have Liz help, cum on seed, have Liz help, have a late night workout that leads to fuck session with Liz. Sleep with our girls and go with sleep with Breakfast sucking our cock.
>>
>>23248489
No, it is a matter of discussion, he did add a second elemental to fertilize his dryad.

His words
>"As for using lots of different things, remember, dryads are girls, not monsters. They still have to learn to do the chores you want them to do. Overloading them could just make them not live up to their potential on most things."
were less clear-cut than what you're saying.
Is three ingredients an overload when two isn't, I don't think so. As long as we keep the theme.
>>
>>23248539
Fold the Fetish and Bruiser into one. Something big and powerful for the breast milk, like a female minotaur or something (or cowgirl, whatever), and kraken tentacles.

We will then get a big powerful lactating tentacled bruiser.

To have an argument, you need two valid conflicting opinions. Dryads have many more than that. Heart of Power has one valid opinion: that it's clearly stupid and people should stop bringing it up.

Cutting out our own heart and replacing it with an enchanted focii that would allegedly provide us with constant low level regeneration.

Nevermind we don't know how we would power it, a regeneration spell of any kind, how to have a heart transplant without killing ourselves in the process, or if it will even work with everything else in place.
>>
>>23248867
But what is it.
>>
>>23248867
It's retarded. Any plan that involves removing our own heart is a stupid fucking plan.

Now drop it and don't pick it back up again.
>>
>>23248796
copypasting my doubts from last thread :

I don't see the point, or how that would work. We can create a focus for regeneration without replacing our heart with it, and without any loss in effectiveness... And I don't think we can make it a continually active item.

Also, regeneration is nice, but this isn't that manga or a D&D game, most attacks we'll face will either work or not. Even if we suffer direct damage, it will generally be enough to destroy our vitals, including our heart.
I think working on a steel body is a better expense of magic.
>>
>>23248867
no it's more like suicide, i'd rather use less vital body parts
>>
>>23248887
Make an artificial magical heart by burning through metric fucktons of stemcells, cnakes, trolls blood, medical supplies and maybe Lin.

Then we replace Max's heart with it using conjuration.

Permanent high level, rapid regeneration.

>>23248928
It has to be the heart.
>>
>>23248883
why would anyone do that? we could just make a ring or necklace that serves the same function. all without cutting out our heart
>>
>>23248883
And never mind that we could just enchant our heart while it's safely in our body without undergoing extensive risky surgery. And that we could enchant our whole body with it so that they can't disable the regeneration by stabbing us in the heart.
>>
>>23248953
The heart is an important symbol of health. By replacing our heart with a magical artifact we become one with the essence of regeneration.
>>
"Let's plant one of the dryad seeds," you say to Liz. "We have the fertilizer for at least one on hand."

"And what fertilizer is that?" she asks.

"Blood from the vampire lord and semen from myself and my father," you say.

"So you want, like, some kind of mental dryad?"

"Yup. Get your dildo; you're going to help me 'water' it."

"Oh. Oh, okay. I'll meet you down in the garden."

You head to the kitchen and grab the ziplock bag full of bloody rags, then head down to the basement. When you get down there, Liz is already waiting, wearing her dildo and holding a small bottle of lube. "I'm ready whenever you are, Mistress," she says. You get a small shiver of delight from that.

You press the seed down into the soft, moist soil, then wring the rags out onto it until you can't get any more of the vampire lord's blood out. "Okay," you say, bending over. "I'm ready." Liz lubes up the entire length of the dildo, then your asshole, before pressing the head against it.

"I love you, Mistress," she says before flipping on the vibrating bullet in her fake cock. She presses it slowly but surely into you, making you feel full and fantastic. The vibrations pulse directly into your prostate as the hard shaft rubs it, and you can feel them shaking all the way down your cock and in your balls. Liz leans over and starts stroking your cock while pumping into your ass at a slow, tender pace.

"~OH~ fuck, Liz!" you moan. "Good girl!"

Liz just moans in response. The dildo does, you remember, rub and vibrate against her g-spot and clit. She probably feels just as good as you do. It doesn't take long to milk your cock, getting pounded deep and hard like that. You cum hard, thick jets covering both the dirt of the plot and getting on the walls of the cell itself. You remain there for a few minutes, still impaled on Liz's "cock" pulsing and enjoying the vibrations, before she pulls it out of both of you and turns it off.

"There we go, love," she says, giving you a tender kiss. "I hope the dryad turns out well. And that it doesn't imprint on Breakfast. That would be horrible."

What do you do now?

>>
>>23249267
Let's do so then.
>>
>>23249162
You realize that while it would technically give us monumental regeneration, it would also make our body incredibly weak? One solid strike to the chest, regardless of our regeneration, would leave us dead on the floor, because we have a surgically inserted artifact in our chest, and, regardless of our body's ability to resist damage from kinetic impacts, the artifact will still be damaged by sudden force impacts? What you're doing is trading away all of our Body stats for extreme regeneration, turning us into a poorly-designed glass cannon that dies from being struck half-decently in the largest section of its body.

Your idea is fucking retarded, and before we even assume you'll live through the operation, there are about two dozen different ways you could suffer any range of sudden or extremely agonizing, painful deaths from the operation and recuperation period alone. Also, permanent foci run out of energy from time to time. What happens when someone beats us up so much and for so long that we run out of power for our heart of power? We die like any regular mook. What you're doing is permanently limiting our hardiness to an incredibly vulnerable level for an irritatingly powerful level of regeneration that will inherently peter out with time.

If we ever get into a metaphorical landlock battle, we are fucking screwed.

If we ever get captured and tortured, we are fucking screwed.

If we ever get energy-drained by any inhuman creature, we are fucking screwed.

If we ever suffer mortal wounds like decapitation, we are fucking screwed.

It's better to have never taken the damage in the first place, rather than recover from it.
>>
>>23249304
That's still retarded. Just stop, please stop suggesting terrible ideas.
>>

No, you know what's the really sad part? We could do exactly the same thing, complete with the same foci, except enchant ourselves to regenerate. With a couple of passes, we could reach Alucard levels of regeneration without permanently crippling ourselves.

The HEART OF POWER idea is nothing but pure HUE.
>>
You give Liz a great big kiss and head up, intending to go to bed. When you pass by the sitting room, you see your dad in one chair calmly reading something and Lin limp in the other, oozing cum from her pussy and probably asleep. "I just planted the first dryad seed, dad," you say. "Make sure you cum on it to fertilize it."

"You got it, Max," he says, then stands up to head downstairs.

You and Liz stop off in the kitchen to leave the dildo to soak in warm water, then head down to the bed room. Your body is still sore, you're both incredibly tired, and within minutes, you're both asleep, curled up in each others arms. At some point in the night, Lin gets tucked in too, and Breakfast comes and sleeps at the bottom of the bed.

A week passes. It is now Friday morning.

What were your three main priorities for the week? Priorities can include, but are not limited to:

Get Liz into the Society of the Archmagi.

Study hard.

Work on finding dryad ingredients.

Work on Lotus self-enchantment.

Work on your relationship with Liz.

Work on solidifying your friendships with Lin, Sam, and Hera.

Work on solidifying your friendships with the older students in Lotus.

And so on.

This should be our #1. I don't care what the other two are, but this HAS to be one of our priorities. This week is literally the only week we have to focus on this. It's now or never.

That's the kind of thngs that could work against regular humans, but not against wizards. Wards and other magical defenses would prevent small animals from approaching just as much as humans, as opposed to regular humans defenses like guards and fences.

We'd better try to get fallen hairs from students we might want to kill (I guess that's everyone except Liz). By the way, we might want to keep ours from falling.

Get Liz into the Society of the Archmagi/Study hard. (since the two are interrelated)

Work on Lotus self-enchantment.(sleep)

Work on solidifying your friendships with the older students in Lotus.

I don't think working on our relationship with Liz should be a "oh, you did this last week" thing. That's a real-time growth kinda thing that can be taken as granted that we'll be dedicating at least a little time to all the time.
>>
>>23250272
Oh bloody hell, too many options.

Uh, well I guess we're set on getting Liz into the Society of the Archmagi, even though I personally think it's a bad idea and will bite us in the ass when the Archmagi decide we're a weakness for their protoge.

Work on solidifying friendships with Lin, Sam and Hera would be useful too.

I guess Study Hard for the third one.

I was tempted to go with dryad ingredients, but we can leave that a week or two.

I want the only needing 4 hours of sleep thing, 4 hours a day might mean we get to focus on something else as well. We can do our studying in those 4 extra hours and get more social/fucking time in.

>Study hard.
Can't disappoint people or fall behind. Top of the pack is safe.

Lower priorities, spending time at Lotus HQ, getting to know everyone there. Having lunch with Sam and Hera occasionally, keep an eye on Sanjay and Pierre as well.

Also, have our Dad teleport out on a shopping run some time during the week, restock our pantry with good food, buy industrial sized cans of pineapple that we snack on at every chance. We want Lin to consider our cum the best snack ever. Also when he's out get lots of foci for use in anything and everything. He can use Enchantment to get stuff for free anyways.

Also try to spend an hour or two every couple days doing Martial Arts practice with Liz, Lin, and our Dad if he wants to learn.

And of course, orgies, all the orgies. Teach Liz how to deepthroat properly, just lie her down on her back in bed, have her hang her head hang off the side, and put our cock down her throat. I don't want a single room to not have been fucked in.

That's not as urgent as studying and self-enchanting and of course getting liz into the archmagi, but if we want to make a pause between studying and fucking and meditating sessions, exploring the town and learning about magical markets could be very rewarding. Dryad fertilizers is just one of the things we can hope to find.

By the way, a few threads ago I wanted us to ask if getting into the society or the archmagi was really useful to become an archmage, and if that's what Liz really wanted. She wants to be an archmage, and we want that too, but a member of that society ?

Since people don't seem to be going for the original HEART OF POWER, let's lotus self-enchant Max's heart with retarded levels of regen.

Except we probably will get wounded at some point. I'd like a magic heart that regrows arms when we start fighting people and hunting monsters.

Once we get steelskin, we need to make a ward to protect us from kinetic energy. Even if the magic howitzer-pistals dont penetrate, the force will throw us back 100s of feet
>>
So I got some ideas for tattoo focuses. We should get some woad and make it into a paste, and have Liz paint it on, swirly designs, a suggestive handprint or three, and then use alchemy magic to pull it into our skin, and enchantment to make them permanent focuses. As for what the focuses should do, I like the idea of an arm tattoo that protects our arm from the return energy of our punches and forces it back into the target, doubling the force we punch with.

You spend the first part of the week preparing to self-enchant yourself to require less sleep and helping Liz study as much as possible. In the latter part of the week, you use all the time you freed up no longer sleeping as much to work on your own studies. You don't find time for too much else, though you do still sit with Sam and Hera, do visit the Lotus sanctum twice more, and do find time for sex and watering your dryad. By the time Friday rolls around, the dryad's plot has a single sprout in it, a pale little shoot with an almost-white leaf at the end. Your dad has been fertilizing it too, and you two worked together to implant an aversion to the cellar in Breakfast for the time being.

You find yourself being kissed awake. When you open your eyes, you see Liz looking down at you. Her body is draped across yours. "Breakfast time, sexy," she says before slowly kissing down your body. "I'm going to start mine down here. Your dad is taking quests to teleport in some food from anywhere in the world for breakfast today. You should figure out what you want."

And with that, she starts working slowly up and down your shaft with her mouth, peering up int your eyes the whole time.

How do you start your day?

I want to get some temporary tattoo sheets, like they have at fairs and stuff.

They would make some NICE practice for tattoo enchanting, and it's kinda clever because you can give them to other people. temporary foci.

If we get really pro at it, we could enchant the design to imprint the magic along with the dye, and remain once the pattern has faded.

People won't expect invisible reserves of strength like that, until the runes flare up when we activate them.

And I want steelskin too, but the other wizards have (or will have eventually) retarded levels of offense to dump on us. Stopping a bullet with your face is cool, but what about Dextra .50cal enchanted sniper rifles that hit like trucks strapped to asteroids?

Those will fuck us up no matter how much steelskin we stack. And whats worse is that it might not be some 1st or 2nd year's enchanted sniper rifle. A 5th or 6th circle dextra could make up a batch and leave them for future dicknazis.

Neither steelskin, nor the harder to achieve regeneration of vital organs.
If we somehow get undue power, it's still better spent on stopping (or deflect) .50 enchanted bullets than healing the damage.

What you're thinking of is essentially physical invincibility. I don't think we can get that before our final years.

"Mmmmm, I'm thinking pancakes," you say, reaching down to caress her cheek with the back of your hand. She smiles with her eyes up at you. "Keep doing that with your tongue. I'm thinking a nice breakfast in bed - maybe even get a little sticky and sweet. We can always take a shower and wash the sheets, after all."

Liz gives you a long, luxurious blowjob after that. She knows you don't need to sleep much anymore, which is why she woke you up early with it. She herself went to bed early last night. When she finishes and swallows, she says, "We might want to have a nice little cram session before class too."

She scampers off to tell your dad your order, then comes back with a big, hot plate with real maple syrup, none of that fake corn syrup 'pancake syrup' crap. You and Liz take turns feeding each other and licking the sweet, sticky syrup off of each other's skin when it drips. It's fun, tasty, and sensual. No no, I don't think you fully appreciate this.

My sister is in the room right now, and she's watching reality TV on near max volume while her inconsolable baby has been crying for the past hour. There is a horsefly that has been circling me for the past twenty minutes. I have spent the past three months listening to three hours of Yo Gabba Gabba every day, and its songs have never stopped being stuck in my head in that time. I know them by heart despite hating them.

I could have hemorrhoids, chicken pox, and be rubbed down in poison ivy all at the same time on top of everything I've just mentioned -

and YOU continuing to suggest something related to the heart of power in every goddamn post would still be the more annoying thing.

I think if you guys are looking for Alucard-tier and style regen, you should be thinking more about making your soul sustainable without a mortal body, and then making your body capable of recollecting and rebuilding itself autonomously upon organ death or severe bodily harm. That would be a smarter, more effective long-term goal, because that would mean that your soul could exist without a body, effectively cheating death, and your body could rebuild itself from its lesser pieces, effectively cheating any injuries sustained that don't destroy your body on a more molecular level.

That being said, we can manage many other even easier enchantments that would substitute those effects with things that are more useful while accomplishing the same task.
>>
>>23252251
That could be a debate right there. Do you really think manipulating a soul like that would be easier than just huestacking regen?

Hey FemCOCK, how common is immortality in this setting? Something every decent archmage gets, or something still generally strived for.

>>23252347
*1/10000
>>
>>23252347
1/10000 isn't it?
>>
>>23252347
Yes and no. The chance for an individual die to be the same as a different one is 1/100, same as the 100. But the chance of getting two matching successful rolls out of 4 dice is lower than rolling a 100 on one of the four dice.
>>

>>23252427
No, it's 1 in 100. It doesn't matter what the first number is, only that the second one matches it.
>>
>>23252417
False. Given a first number out of 100 of arbitrary value, there will be only one number out of 100 in the next roll that will match it.

Think of it like this: what is the probability that you will get any particular number on a roll of 1d100? The only number you're looking for is the previous one, which could be anything.
>>
>>23252417
>>23252427
Nope. Now if you were asking what the chance of getting two 76s in a row was you'd be right, but we're wondering the chances of it matching the first roll.

But as I said >>23252431
it is actually a bit more likely to get a 100 than get two successful dice that match. But I really don't feel like working out the exact probabilities out right now.
>>
>>23252439
Ah, yes my mistake, getting a specific number twice is 1/1000, getting matching numbers in general is 1/100

If we stack steelskin we'll need to also self enchant to block conjuration so we cant get our organs teleported out of us,

If we stack shittons of regen we can just grow the organ back."What's that? You teleported out my lungs? Lol that can't stop me!"
>>
>>23252501
And then immortality, as we bring about our plan to become incubus ruler of mankind.
>>
>>23252501
Self-enchanting to block hostile conjuration would be faster, cheaper, and easier by several orders of magnitude.
>>
>>23252501

I'm gonna go ahead and second my LEARN SORCERY FOR COUNTERSPELLING suggestion from the last thread.
>>
>>23252501
Perhaps, but the effort needed to get to that level of regen may well be much more than the level needed to have nice regen for recovery and nice abjuring type stuff. Not saying that regen isn't good, but the focus required to have it invalidate most forms of attack would likely take longer than diversifying and blocking them normally.
>>
>>23252501
If we lose lungs we have 3 minutes before hypoxia sets in. Assuming that shock from our heart hemorrhaging out into our newly empty chest cavity doesn't kill us first.

>>
>>23252501
>>23252547
That Lotus girl has tattoos to prevent conjuration, and now regeneration tattoos, that's probably because it's easier and more efficient.
The time it takes to regrow lungs is still time when you can't react appropriately, and then you have to take a breath.
>>
>>23252593
>>23252565
Good for Sorcery.

We're part of Lotus, our focuses are going to be Enchantment and Alchemy, don't spread our skill set too thin. Focus on what we're good at and use those things in creative ways to do what we need to do.
>>
>>23252589
If we lose lungs we bleed out. I don't think anyone who takes our lungs away would be nice enough to clamp our arteries.
>>
>>23252635
I do want to master Pierre's trick, though. We're a martial fighter, it would be great to be able to augment the force of our punches.
>>
>>23252675
Or we could use Living Alchemy and self-enchancement so our punches go through tungsten without having to focus on sorcery.
>>
Would it be possible to self enchant + sorcery to create a small forcefield into our steelskin?
>>
>>23252620
You can survive 3 minutes without air under normal circumstances, which means we'd need to have that set up so it PERFECTLY regrows them within about a minute, just to be safe. While that's going on, you have massive internal bleeding because your heart was, up until a second ago, pumping your blood through your lungs. At a rate of about 4.75 liters a minute. Which is basically ALL your blood.

We likely won't be able to regenerate anywhere near fast enough to survive the traumatic effects of something like that. Better to just prevent it and heal up after surviving.
>>
>>23252689
Or we could use both in conjunction.
If Pierre can do it on the first day, it should be easier to achieve than Domino's or Pavana's level of self-enhancement.

You spend your free time that morning cramming to get your understanding of Conjuration up to basic practicality. When you're done, you and Liz get dressed and head off to class with Lin. When you arrive, you find that most of the class is standing around casually as normal, by all appearances unaware that there's a quiz today.

Petrov lets everyone in on time, then stands in the front of the class. "Class, today, we will be having the first quiz in place of a lecture. I will be handing out the written exams, which you will have one hour to complete, after which I shall be meeting with you in small groups to analyze your practical abilities."

A good portion of the class gets nervous or surprised looks on their face. Some others look determined or ready. Still some others just look bored.

Petrov begins handing out all of the quizzes.

And that's where we're ending this for tonight. I should put up a new thread around 18:00 tomorrow, unless the lab I'm scheduled to go to has another chemical fire.

You can use Sorcery to boost temporarily on the fly, while you can use Alchemy to self-enchant for a permanent boost in strength.
>>
>>23252873
I think you mean alchemy rather than enchantment.

>>

>>23252895
>you can use Alchemy to self-enchant
Admit that it's confusing.

>a permanent boost in strength.
But is it of a smaller amplitude than that from Sorcery, given the same effort ?
>>
Now, to clarify on the point of augmented healing. Each level halves recovery time for a wound. So, let's say you're dealt an injury that would leave you in traction and physical rehab for six months. With one level of that, it's reduced to three. With two, it's a month and a half. The number of levels required to make normally-horrific injuries the sort of thing that heals in a matter of rounds or seconds is staggering. It's so many that by the time you actually had them, you would likely already be dead from neglecting everything else. It also wouldn't stop you from simply still being killed outright - you still have to survive an attack to recover from it.

So, while getting a few levels of augmented healing is a fantastic idea, you will never, ever, ever have Wolverine/Alucard levels of regeneration.
>>
>>23252944
I know. The school of Magic called Enchantment deals with the Mind and fucking with it. Illusions, mental attacks, that sort of thing.

Enchantment can also refer to enhancing or magicifying something, this is not only doable by a single school.
>>
>>23252962
Say that to my Heart of Power.
>>
>>23252944
Self-enchantment is a large one-time investiture of energy that has no upkeep cost. Sorcery requires a certain amount of effort each and every time it's used. Both of them just provide bonus dice when used to boost your actions. The question is whether you want to spend the time both learning Sorcery and then the effort of using it or whether you want to self-enchant for permanent effects. Most members of the Lotus end up choosing the latter, though everyone gets a fair amount of every form of magic eventually if they survive long enough.
>>

>>23252635
If we want to enchant items, we'll have to be well-rounded in all disciplines.

>>23253155
If you boost speed, you get a +1 to any action where physical speed is an important factor and can move under your own power significantly faster. So, that's a bonus to running, fighting, and other things where speed is important. Strength provides a dice bonus to actions involving physical strength and greatly boosts your lift, drag, and push capacity. Resistance provides a bonus and makes you more tolerant of generally unpleasant or even dangerous situations, like extreme heat or walking on broken glass barefoot.

You need three successes per swing to ring the bells.
>>
By the way, this thread is archived. Vote it up.
>>
>>23253218
Last I saw, the dryad thing is mostly squared away now that we have our three types we are going for, now we just need to find the stuff before we plant the other two.

The incest arguments need to just go away for a bit, though. I get that your fetish is getting neglected, but bringing it up 10 threads later isn't gonna do anything about it.
>>
>>23253232
>If you boost speed, you get a +1 to any action where physical speed is an important factor and can move under your own power significantly faster.
Sounds like 12 hours well spent.
And if we boost it again ? I'd assume it take eight successes to get another +1, is that right ?
>>
>>23253232
Which, if I'm guesstimating from Exalted experience (with that same 70% or higher per die for a success), we'll need around 12-15 per strike to do it consistently?
>>
>>23253321
Correct. Each level of a bonus increases the amount of successes required by the appropriate stat again. So, let's say you're augmenting yourself for better focus and concentration. Getting the +1 would require three successes. Increasing that +1 to +2 would require six. Going from +2 to +3 would require nine.
>>
>>23253309

It could work. That's more or less what Pavana did with her tattoos. They're a focus for blocking Conjuration, and she uses them both to keep people from teleporting out her internal organs and from, say, teleporting a liter of magma a centimeter above her head.
>>
>>23253543
And we have dad. If he can bamf around to get pancakes, then he get some dryad fertilizer. Either way, I still think we should plant the next two at the same time. Maybe even fertilize them as oppositely as possible.
