Previously on your Bizarre Adventure, you are an amnesiac viking man, currently nick-named Dio, who must join the Ivory Tower Run, a death race that will be held in 2 days, to escape this strange world that you find yourself in. You piece a little bit more of your memory with the help of Lisa Lisa and learn more about Stands. The both of you meet the blacksmith, Thorek, and you promptly challenge him to a manly pose-off and arm wrestling match. Winning the latter earned you his services for free and have him forge you an axe imbued with the elemental power of metal from a piece of your soul and blood. You also find a kindred spirit in the old man.

Afterwards, you are on your way to get registered and properly clothed, when you run into the Joker, a silent psychotic clown who is not impressed by your manliness and targets you as one of his next victims. The man terrifies Lisa Lisa, but she refuses to tell you why.

Now, you are face to face with the Organizer in charge of Camp 7, the Pillar Man Dedringer. His bronze skin almost shined in the moonlight as the scantily clad man towered over you, sizing you up impassively.

"You there." he says in an unimpressed, dead pan, monotone voice. "Do you wish to join the Ivory Tower Run?"

What do you do?

"Oi! Can't you understand?" You begin, stepping up towards the man, unintimidated by his stature. "I'm here to register for this run!" You announce, proudly flexing your muscles, hands on your hips and leaning back to look up at the pillar man.

Dedringer just looked down on you, unfazed by your display, and turned his gaze towards Lisa Lisa. "This one is a lively one, isn't he?"

"He's consistent where It counts." She replied in your defense, flashing you a smile.

"Hmmm." Dedringer mused, as if considering her words. "To register in the Ivory Tower Run is binding. You either reach the top or you die. Forfeit equals death. You may use any means to reach the top, so long as it is your intrinsic ability. The race is not finished until the last surviving runner is killed or all have passed through to the finish line." He turned his back to you and took a few steps before turning to face you again. "Registration is simple: Strike me with all your might and as many times as you can." he said in a way as if he was discussing something boring, like the weather.

You start to get pissed, this guy was underestimating you.

"This guy..." you mutter in annoyance as a vein on your forehead throbbed. "Don't look down on me!" You roar as a powerful aura burst momentarily around you. Unbeknownst to you, a ghostly silhouette started to rise into the air behind you, peering over your shoulders as ghostly arms wrapped around your muscled chest in an almost sensual embrace.

Lisa Lisa's jaw dropped to the ground. "His Stand...! It's fully awakening!"

You didn't hear her as you focused your attention on Dedringer, who's face turned into a look of curiosity as he saw your stand. "Strike you as many times as I want eh?" you say as you approach him, the red eyes of the ghostly silhouette holding on to you flashing with violent intent. "Don't mind if I take you up on your generous offer!" you shout, rushing at him.

He didn't bother to dodge as you fell upon him, unleashing a barrage of punches that your stand mimicked, doubling the output. "ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA~!" you shout, as Dedringer's flesh turned to putty with each blow.

You don't recall how long you've been punching him. Seconds? Minutes? It didn't matter. You had to show this asshole that he was dealing with a man. After what seemed like forever, you strike the final punch, sending the pillar man flying back towards his pillar.

You pant, and your stand phased back inside you. "What did I just do?" you say, looking at your hands.

"Impressive." Dedringer said as he climbed out of the rubble. "Only a few hours up and you have already successfully personified your stand. Although it was still a silhouette; you need a bit more work to render him fully."

What say?
>>
>>23219339

at least he's not looking down on us as much?

"with lady luck at my side, i cannot fail." giving Lisa Lisa a grin.
>>
>>23219480

"Of course I'm impressive!" you say, turning to Lisa Lisa with a sly grin. "with lady luck on my side, I cannot fail!"

She blushes, smiling back, but doesn't say anything.

Dedringer's expression hasn't changed by much, you notice, but there was a look in his eye that didn't seem as aloof as before. "You are now entered to participate in the Ivory Tower Run." he drones, making you wonder how somebody who looked so manly could be so woefully uncharismatic. "I will assign to you a tent, and at the start of the race, a familiar to carry your gear."

"Nice!" you say out loud, pumping your fist in the air.

"I am curious, tell me your stand's name." he says, rather than asking for your own name.

"My-? Uh, he didn't say?"

"Ask him." Dedringer commands.

Lisa Lisa walked up beside you, "Just reach into your mind and talk to your Stand." she says helpfully. "It is a part of yourself, a subconscious alter-ego."

She tilts her head, confused. "What?"

"No... I don't know, ritual sacrifices? No magic potion to imbibe? No meditation technique?" You clarify. "I just... Talk to myself?"

"If it makes you feel better, you can talk to your beard." she teased.

Instead of taking that as a playful taunt, you literally grab your beard and turn it up to face you.

"Idiot, I didn't mean litera-" she began saying, but just shrugged as you give her another clueless look. "Yeah, sure, talk to your beard, whatever works."

You focus your mind and look intently at the beard in front of you. "Hello?"

Moments pass and nothing happens. You're about to ask Lisa Lisa for more advice when a dark, featureless face save for glowing red eyes rises up from your beard, looking at you intently just inches from your own face. "Hello." it says in a gruff voice not unlike your own.

Lisa Lisa looks amused that it actually worked, but you don't notice as you focus on the face of your stand in front of you.

"What's your name?" you ask.

The shadowy face retreated back into your beard, and not a moment later, a burly man -shaped being stepped out of our body and floated in the air front of you. It was just as muscular as you were, with purple-pink skin and cold grey highlights around it's body that accentuated it's physique. A heart was engraved into the left part of it's chest, as if it was stone or ice. It's face was obscured by a horned, full helmet, revealing only soulless red eyes and a beard that the helm could not hope to contain. It wore a fur mantle that draped around it's shoulders, an armored skirt with leather pants, metal boots and two large metal gauntlets with spiked knuckles.

"I am Tryggr The Warrior's Code!" it announced proudly, swimming gracefully in the air as it curved its manly body elegantly, hands behind it's head and looking at you with a fiery stare. "I am you, and we are one. Let's show everyone how manly we really are!"

"Hah! That's what i like to hear!" You say out loud, offering him a hand which he gladly took, clasping your forearms together like men. "Damn I'm fine!"

"Yes you are!" Your stand agreed heartily.

"So what can You do, Tryggr The Warrior's Code?" You ask.

"I am strong and i am fast!" it said proudly. "I have not figured much beyond that."

"Good enough for me!" you say. You and your stand nodded to each other before it faded back into your body. "This is great!"

Lisa Lisa just looked at Dedringer. "I've met few people with an ego that big..." she said with amusement.

"Hmm..." was all Dedringer said. "Is that all?"

Lisa Lisa called out to you. "Hey, Dio, not that I don't enjoy the view, but you need new clothes!"

"Ah! That's right!" You say in realization. "Hey, Dedringer! Give me some manly, fabulous clothes!"

Dedringer nodded, putting a hand on your shoulder. There was a flash, and you find yourself fully clothed.

You wore a yellow, fur lined vest, leaving your top otherwise bare, and tight, brown leather pants with intricately woven patterns of blue runes haphazarldy stitched onto it. You wore a black leather belt, with a big gold belt buckle depicting two fists smashing together.

On your head, you wore a black cowboy's hat, that you tilt up, giving Lisa Lisa a grin. "Well?" you say as you spin around for her to let her have a look at all angles. "What do you think?"

"Looking fancy." she giggled.

Dedringer merely turned around and walked back to his Pillar, his job done.

Lisa Lisa approached you, giving you an excited hug. "That was amazing! Few people around here have been able to do that to Dedringer, much less in the manner you did it!"

What say? Also, you notice that you and Lisa Lisa seem to have gotten to know each other rather well, considering you've only met a few hours prior.

"Like I said, I'm impressive 'cause I've got you by my side!" You say proudly, causing her to redden. There were the voices in your head again as you looked down at the smiling Lisa Lisa and consider what you've been through tonight.

On the one, wussier hand, you've just met her, and she was very unforthcoming about several things like why she was in the forest or her situation with Joker. Also, her instant attraction to you leaves a certain degree of reasonable suspicion.

on the other, manlier hand, you've just met her, and she is a total babe who is very, very in to you. It didn't hurt that your personalities seemed to jive well together, too.

Lisa Lisa pulled away from the hug, realizing that she's been holding you the whole time. "So, that's it." she says, "You're in the race."

"Yep, thanks for everything, Lisa Lisa. You really helped me through a lot of things." You say genuinely.

"Well, I was just in the right place at the right time." she said with a shrug. "Besides, how could I live with myself knowing that I let an idiot like you fend for yourself here?"

You two laugh, and then you exaggerated a yawn, stretching out your arms. "Man, it's getting kinda late." you say.

"I know, we've both had a long day." she says, "Well, night for you, but you get what I mean."

"Would you let me walk you back to your tent?" You say smoothly.

"My, how chivalrous!"

The two of you walk out of the clearing where Dedringer's pillar stood, and you make your way back through the sea of tents. You engage Lisa Lisa in more idle conversation, talking about her past and what you could remember of yours, laughing and joking. When she was feeling very at ease, you inch towards the sensitive questions you wanted to ask.

"So... why were you in the forest?"

She was silent, and you were scared that you'd put her off when she replied. "I was looking for somebody." She said. "The last thing I remember before I woke up here was my father... I thought maybe he'd appear here too. I... don't want to talk about it..."

You leave the topic alone, and very obliviously continued with "So what's between you and Joker?"

"Don't worry, I'll find out what his stand does after I smash his face in." you say, cracking your knuckles.

"Dio, please don't do anything rash." She was practically pleading now.

"Alright, I promise." She doesn't say anything else after that and you take the hint, deciding to leave the topic alone for now.

You two walk in silence the rest of the way through the sea of tents. It was pleasant, in it's own unique way. Finally, you arrive at an unmarked tent that looked the same as the hundreds of others, and she turned to look at you.

"Well, here we are." she says finally. "It was good meeting you, Dio. It's nice to talk with new people, they aren't wrapped up in so much plots and intrigue."

"Hey, it was great meeting you as well." you say, giving her a big grin infectious enough to bring the smile back on her face. "Of all the people here, I got a lovely lady show me the ropes."

You both stand there for the next few moments in pleasant silence, expecting for, well, something to happen.

"Besides..." you continue. "Are you sure your tent could handle this much manliness?" You say, flexing your arms and giving her your game face. Earning a giggle and a playful slap on the arm from her.

Lisa Lisa took her scarf and pulled on the fabric, extracting a strand of thread from it. "Here." she says, handing it to you. "If you ever want to find me, that thread will always point the way towards me."

You look at the piece of thread in your hands, and found that it indeed gravitated towards her direction. as you were busy inspecting it though, you failed to notice Lisa Lisa approach your face, using her scarf as a step ladder, and give you a peck on the cheek.

"It was nice meeting you, Dio." she says as she backs away and slips through the flap of her tent until her head was the only thing peeking out.

"It was nice meeting you, too." you say, rubbing your cheek with a dumb grin on your face. "Good night."

"Good night." she said, giving you a smile before she disappeared into the tent.

You were a savage viking man, but you were also a gentlemanly savage viking man, you think to yourself as you stood outside of Lisa Lisa's tent for a while. Then, a thought occurs to you.

You don't know where your tent is.

Just as you were thinking about going back to Dedringer and asking, somebody cleared their throat behind you.

You calmly tie the thread around your beard securely and take a deep breath. Your still in one piece, you think, meaning that if the person behind you wanted to attack you, they were decent enough to let you turn around first. With a twist of your heel, you snap around and strike a pose, both hands in front of you flared stylishly and defensively. You find yourself staring into nothing but thin air.

"Hey! Hey buddy!" you here an almost tiny voice say. "Down here!"

You look down to see a cat standing on it's hind legs, dressed in light armor with a pole arm and a barrel strapped across it's back. You couldn't help but just stare, prompting the cat to speak some more.

"Take a photograph, it lasts longer." It said with slight annoyance.

"Sorry? I... haven't seen a talking cat before."

"Apology accepted. Name's Loranz, I'm your own personal Felyne assistant slash pack animal." Loranz said, sizing you up. "I'm gonna carry your supplies and accompany you through the city. If you got any questions regarding the Ivory Tower Run, I'll be more than-" he pauses to make quotation marks in the air -"'happy' to answer them. Now if you don't mind, I'll show you to your tent so i can get me some shut eye."

Loranz started to walk away, and you shrug, quickly falling into pace to walk beside him.

You now have a talking cat/ liaison. What do you ask him?
>>
>>23223418
This is fucking awful. Please, stop this.
>>
>>23223418
How come nobody else has a liaison?

What's your problem?

The two of you make your way down the street, making quite the unusual pair.

"So why don't the others have any liaisons?" you ask him.

"Oh they do, they do. Trust me." he says, taking three quick steps for every one of yours. "You'll see all of them once the race starts. I just got to introduce myself, answer any of your questions, and show you to your tent. Other than that, nothing in our contracts say that we got to hang around you fine people 'til then." He stopped in front of a tent, identical to the rest, and opens the flap. "Well don't just stand around, get in." Loranz said impatiently as he went in ahead of you.

Stepping inside, you find yourself in a large, nice and cozy room made of cobblestone and wood. Furs of various beasts draped the walls and floor and their was fireplace crackling on the far corner with pots, pans and other utensils for cooking and eating on a small table next to it. On the other side, there was a huge, circular bed lined with more furs and pillows, and in the corner opposite that was a door that led to a washroom, complete with toiletries, running water and a huge marble tub. "Wow." you say, taking in the sight.

"Yeah Yeah, this is your home sweet home 'til the race starts." Loranz said dismissively. "You got any more questions or what?"

[ ] ask more about the race.

[ ] it's been a long day, sleep.

Sleep.
>>

"No. That'll be all." You say. Looking at the inviting bed had made you aware of how much you did tonight, and how tired you really were. "I'll be getting some sleep now."

"Eh, good." Loranz shrugs as he approaches the table next to the fire place and puts a small ring on top of it. "I am contractually obligated to tell you that you can summon me whenever you want to answer more of your questions. just put on the ring and say my name." he didn't wait for a reply as he quickly made his way to the exit. "Real pleasure meeting ya, pal. Cheers."

"Yeah, thanks." With Loranz gone, you fall face first flat on your bed, and let sleep take you away.

What a bizarre night this turned out to be.

Wrapping it up for now, don't know if I can continue it or not tomorrow, so just keep your eyes peeled at the usual time.

Stay fabulous and manly, jojobros
