Another instant of silence rips through the hall before...

"SLYTHERIN!"

No wait. That's not right. It said something else...it started with an R. No. No way. The hat actually bellowed.

"RAVENCLAW!"

The Ravenclaw table with Joel and Nigel included cheer for you. This however is quickly interrupted by a shrieking scream that you know can only be your sister.

"What?!" you hear her say as your legs carry you over to the Ravenclaw table. You sit beside Joel, you can't seem to hear anything as shapes move around you, clapping you on the shoulder, from the Slytherin table you can see your sister, red faced, eyes livid.

"Congrats Millie!" says Joel, sound returning once more.

other: I pull out my uzi, also called a muggle rock wand, from under my lacy robes, and open up, firing dozens of bullets into the great hall, striking many.

"The IRA frowns on your thinly veiled elitism, wizard scum!"

I detonate the explosive vest, instantly killing myself, and possibly others if they happen to stand nearby.

Quick Facts:
Millie is the second daughter of a Pure Blood family.
Family is somewhat elitist.
Father likes Millie best.
Maud, our older sister, hates us because of it.
Our familiar is a plains cat named Tarantula, Tara for short.
We are anti-social, and so our best friend is Fur Elise, our doll.
We had a deadly run-in with rogue Cambodian wizards when we were younger, and their curse on us killed us for a few seconds. We now have a fear of large bodies of water, and can't stomach fish dishes (due to part of the curse that involved fish hooks tearing out of our skin).
Everyone in our family goes to Slytherin. EVERYONE.

And now we're in Ravenclaw.
>>
>>23195659
We have winked once already. We must wink again. Maliciously.

"My parents are going to kill me."

The sorting continues whilst you sit. Unable to think about anything but the last words your father said to you before hopping onto the train.

"you're representing the Fauxly family name, and that's important. Nothing is more important that family and the line we hold dear, understand?"

He's your father after all. He wouldn't deny all ties with you over something so petty would he? You shake the thoughts out of your head, the image of your Dads blood red face shouting at you lodged in the back of your mind.

The line before the sorting had dissapated quickly, the headmaster standing by his owl-encrested podium.

He is a tall yet seemingly frail old man who'se papery skin seems to clean to his angular features. With short cropped hair and beady little eyes, he grins, wrinkles rippling across his face which seems to have several things happen at once.

"Welcome first years" he began, trailing off into a speech about how students must stay out of the grounds if they do not wish to, and I quote, "die a horrible death"

When he had finished his welcoming speech he raised his arms in the air, plates of delicious food appearing before you.

You can’t help yourself as you take a leg of chicken with one hand and a glass of pumpkin juice in the other. To your right Nigel bites away on a sumptuously buttery corn on the cob, Joel taking the pie route.

As you sit and eat you decide that it would be a good idea to send an owl to your parents before Maud does, better they hear it from you than her.

A little later after you have satiated your hunger you notice a girl sitting opposite you.

She is lanky with scruffy hair and big brown eyes. Her robes are clearly second hand and, you notice she has her knife and fork in the wrong hand.

“Hey” she says, smiling “I’m Olivia”

it makes for a better story if we are from this dark background and have all these edgy powers but are not blatantly evil.

Antisocial – The child simply has a hatred of everyone and everything around them, driving
them to isolation and performing cruel acts with frightening ease. You gain an extra Degree

Con skill ratings.

You keep watching to see what other dirt you can get on your sister. There’s no way she’s going to tell your parents once she knows you have this over her.

The Hufflepuff boy looks like a bit of a dolt. Big and stocky he’s clearly spent a lot of time working out, you have to admit he’s pretty good looking for a Hufflepuff.

You hear a calm voice behind you. You suddenly feel colder than before.

“What are you doing?” it asks.

You turn on your heels to see a dark-skinned boy of fifteen years of age looking at you with his arms crossed. He’s wearing a Hufflepuff uniform. And what’s more…he’s a ghost.

He has made no effort to lower his voice. Maud may have heard.

Actually, it's the same way it's traditionally done on a tabletop, and statistically this method leads to extremes being less common than if we were using the dicebot's d100 which is a flat probability.

Untrue.

Outliers are less common if you roll 2d10 and add them, for a score from 2-20, with 11 being the most common, but if you roll 2d10 as a d100, there is a 1/100 chance of any particular result being rolled.
