Excuse my absence yesterday I was busy.
Last time on Hive Fleet quest. We made preparations to confront the Chains of Torment Chaos Legion, our sworn enemies. We gained the upper hand in the fight and sent in Deep One and a Lictor to slay the Chaos Lord Ralgar the Vengeful. While they did kill many prominent leaders of the Legion, Ralgar was no where to be found... until he teleported into our ship that is. We engaged and defeated him in close combat, but the Chaos Lord had a trick up his sleeve, a suicide bomb that blew up as he was right in front of us.
Roll 1d100 for how badly injured we are. Average of first five roles will equal the overall score. 100s are insta successes.

Are we gonna get some Nid romance in this quest?
>>
>>23145480
Unless the Norn Queen falls for us, I somehow doubt it.
>>
>>23145480
We have a sexy unkillable genestealer. Things could happen.
>>
>>23145767
... We are not having Deep One deep throat us. Oh god I just brought about the rule 34 for Hive Fleet Hastur haven't I.

I suppose that all depends on how useful our genes turn out to be.
>>
Whoops. Just realized we already rolled for this last thread. We were left with many minor injuries and one or two major gashes. Meant to ask what we should do next.
>>
>>23145925
om nom nom

what else
>>
>>23146980
Well thats the over all goal but we still have a chaos fleet to deal with and we are injured.
>>
>>23147687
How many Chaos are left and how many do we have?
And what about the Guardsmen?
>>
>>23148669
Guardsman are basically completely destroyed.
Out of Chaos's initial 1,000 ships, 453 remain. Most are on the retreat since the flag ship has been downed.
>>
>>23148694
Is there anything to gain for killing them?

Bio mass from dead cultists and marines. Plus we can nom on the ship hulls and use the metals to make stronger shells.
Or we could always use them as Space Hulks...
>>
>>23148779
Alright.
Lets send a few ships (10-25%) to start nomming on the Guardsmen on the planet.
And the rest to assimilate Chaos.
>>
>>23148818
Ok then.
Roll 1d100 plus 20 to see how much more damage we can do to the chaos forces while they retreat back into the warp.

We unfortunately only down a few more chaos ships before they are able to retreat. Luckily none of our ships get trapped in the warp jump portal.
What shall we do now?
P.S. For our official color scheme I vote for gold carapaces and white skin. Like the crown Hastur wears.

We easily finish off the remaining Guardsmen and finish stripping the planets of this sector clean. We now have 400,000 units of biomass. Most of the biomass was stripped off already but still this is a good intake.
What shall we do now? Maybe go and find some Tyranids with the Toughened Carapace biomorph we need?
>>

>>23149469
No.
Now we upgrade our flying maneuverability in battle.
So we can DODGE DODGE DODGE DODGE DODGE.
>>
>>23149511
We are already very mobile. It comes with the stealthiness. However, our ships are not very tough. We are a lot like Dark Eldar in that respect.

I know.
I want us to be able to dodge BOLTERFIRE in mid-air.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?
P.S. you can stop rolling now.
>>
>>23149573
Well, whatever we're doing we need a direction.
Where is the nearest planet?
>>
>>23149607
You Navwales detect two gravity signatures. Both are relatively the same distance. One contains several signatures, implying a sector. The other is only one signature, but it is... moving.
>>
to the moving one!
>>
>>23149678
Lets go to the moving one then.
I hope it's Orks.
>>
Your ships lock on to the pull from the moving gravity signature and you enter in FTL. You have a few moments before you will reach the signature. Would you like to do anything with your biomass or just wait to arrive?
>>
>>23149747
Well.
I suppose for now we increase DURABILITY with half of our Biomass and re-stock anything we lost in our last battle.
Heal ourselves as well.

You use all the bio mass to try and make our shells move resistant to fire and restock some of our losses. While we can't remake everything, we have gotten most of our fighting force back.
You exit the FTL travel. Before you lay a massive ship, the size of a moon. Eldar by design. A Craftworld.
Eldar fighters begin to poor fire into our fleet. They were ready for us.
How do we react?
>>
>>23149846
RUN LIKE SHIT.
>>
>>23149859
Well.
More accurately we fire off a medium amount of spores and pods to cover our escape.
>>
We decide to make a run for it.
1d100+10 for use of spore mines to see if we can escape with minimal loses.

Our BioPlasma broadsides suffer heavy losses in the retreat, but our other ships manage to escape without heavy losses. No major hive ships are downed. We slip back into FTL and head to the other gravity signature. Coming out in a system containing two planets.
What shall we do?
>>
Rolled 37 + 10

>>23150015
What is on either planet?
And is there any sign of the Eldar following?
>>
>>23150015

Examine planets, see if they are worth the biomass to claim.
>>
>>23150035
We do not know what is on either planet yet. It is doubtful Eldar would pursue. That was most likely a defensive action.
>>
Rolled 62 + 10

>>23150071
Then lets go and look!
Send scouts to both planets!
>>
You decide to send down some scouts to discover what lives here. The first world is an ice world, covered in an artic tundra. However, there are ships here and small out posts.
The other world is a jungle. Covered in life. That was all you got before your scouts were attacked by an unseen creature.
>>
I HAVE RETURNED.
Also, don't forget to add the biomass we got to the biomass from last thread!
I say we attempt to learn how to use technology. But considering that's impossible, it's time to eat some Eldar and make one GIANT Zoanthrope.

Fuck no.
We're not going anywhere near that craftworld with our fire power.
We're dangerously out-gunned out-numbered and probably out-maneuvered.

>>23150163
We take THE JUNGLE.
>>
>>23150224
What shall we send down to the jungle world to investigate?
Also you guys can stop rolling.
>>
>>23150261
Investigate?
No.
We're INVADING.
Full BIOMASS HARVEST here.
>>
>>23150297
You launch an invasion of the jungle world. The initial invasion creatures make planet fall. Genestealers, Harpies, Gargoyles, Hormagaunts, the works. And shortly after they land we learn what killed the scouts. Kroot.
>>
>>23150352
Haha.
Tau, or perhaps some Kroot mercs.
Lets harvest anyway!
>>
>>23150352
Welp. We need LONG range. I say we first clear out as MUCH vegetation as we can, preferably collecting it as biomass, so we can actually hit hit the Kroot, and, if need be, orbital Biomass Bombardment.
>>
>>23150374
We counter attack against the Kroot. They quickly begin to fall back. However as we pursue, we are met with Pulse Fire. Battle Suits leap in and roast our gaunts with flamers. Barricudas open fire on our Harpies. Fire Warriors come out from the underbrush and rapid fire our creatures. The Tau are here.
>>
>>23150460
Lets send some of the ships about to scout where their base of operations may be.

Hey guys I have to leave for now. I will continue this tomorrow, hopefully this thread is not 404'ed. Will put this on the archive though.
>>
>>23150513
Lets send the scouts to find their base, and take out their center of command with orbital bombardment. That way Biomass will be much easier to harvest!
>>
>>23150593
Arial scouting would be easier.
Not to mention when one of the Bio-Plasma ships finds their base it's just BOOM BOOM BOOM dead.
