I hate to sound like someone coming straight from /x/ but in the summer of year 2007 at late night a presence in my room wake me up. I tried to open my eyes but every time I tried they where covered in tears and only could see blurs.
Every time to see who or what was in my room it did a "growl" like noises (I don't have any pets). My door was closed, I always close it when I go to sleep and only the window was full open (I live in a third floor flat and also my window is facing a private pool pit).
Thinking was my brother in law trying to joke with me I just turn my face towards the other side and when I did I feel how that thing hit me in the head with something quite solid, like if it was trying to break my skull, I tried to open my eyes and scream in protest but when I did another hit fall upon the same area of my skull (the area close to the ear, left side).
Scared and feeling like under the effects of sleep paralysis, I hold my breath, hoping whatever got in my room thought I was death after that hit. The presence left and I somehow fallen in deep sleep.
Next morning I wake up with the biggest headache ever and since then my rear cavity doesn't stop doing a "cracking noise". According to the doctors, there is no skull damage nor brain damage nor tumors, but the sensation is still there and sometimes where that thing hit me does hurt or sometimes feels numb.

Before that attack one day found in the morning a foot print (athletic shoe sole for be precise) over my desk (I have a large desk with a L shape, great part of it is under the window. So in my modern superpowers game there's a dream realm. I've kept my players from getting there yet, but the story is about to send them there and I don't feel like trying to think of a new roadblock for them. I dread running it cause I seriously have no idea how to run it.

So /tg/ how would you run a game where you jump through peeps dreams?

I SWEAR there's a system where this is the entire setting, I just can't remember the name...double damn. I just had to leave the book back in Virginia. Basically, there's a setting where you're a group that slides through different people's dreams killing monsters that use those dreams like we use beef. If anyone else can remember the system's name, I'd recommend using it as a base guideline.

Each dream is connected similar to a labyrinth of rooms, but the catch is that the 'doors' linking each dream to the next has to be similar on both sides.

For example, walking through think forest foliage on one side could have you emerge through the foliage of a garden property.
Or going down an elevator in a mall could open on the fourth floor of a city office.

To reach the dream you're seeking you'd have to know what it'd be about, lest you wander aimlessly and get lost in the dreamworld.

Returning to the real world could require you to get back to your own dream but that might be too hard so having the host wake up without going lucid might work.

Huh. Well I'm using Abberant. The game all arty and y masterpiece. Basically a game where the world really does revolve around the players.

The settings mostly modern day, but Jack Kirby style super gods and secret organizations exist and are just starting to appear. The players are the worlds first "superheroes" in that they have powers, one of the origins of which are these massive space creatures who protected the barrier between dream eating nightmare creatures and our sanity. He dies, player goes green lantern with glory body runes as the power transfers to the closest thing.

Anyways they're about to enter the dreaming realm where the presence of these benevolent protectors hasn't been felt for hundreds of years.

Now I can't think of anything this dream realm would look like.

Well, before we moved in in the year 1996, the previous owners of the apartment said there was a fire in it in the 80s (the building dates from 1982).
In said fire there wasn't any casualties.

As for me, last night was strange in that I remembered TWO things, and both of them just add to my growing frustration. The first happened around 3:30, and I was somewhere between dozing off and just barely asleep. Out of nowhere, I felt something like a physical tug on my shoulders that startled me awake. Since I couldn't figure out any reason for this, seeing as my apartment/dorm is a single, I rolled over, made a note, and went back to sleep on my opposite side.

Then I remember having a dream that was really el whacko, where the male members of my family replaced the surgeons at the 4077 MASH. I was Alan Alda, my old man was Wayne Rogers, or Mike Farrell, it was kinda hard to tell, my grandpa was Harry Morgan, and my uncle was Larry Linville. The house in San Diego that my grandmother used to live in was apparently the OR, and I remember distinctly that we were all wizards for some reason. Fucked if I know.

The frustrating bit came as I was trying to reassure myself that we were ready for the next wave of casualties, and Harry Morgan/my grandpa sat down at the kitchen bar behind me and patted me on the back in reassurance... and then the pat was followed by a cold hand massaging my shoulders and a female voice said "I told you it would be okay."

I turned around, and before I could see her my brain realized it was a dream and I woke up. Apparently I still have trouble lucid dreaming on purpose, and missed a perfect chance to see her while lucid.

Where is he? Come on, this has to end.

I dunno, his story doesn't really follow the usual structure of "Hey guys, I just had sex with [insert supernatural creature]" threads.

I mean, it ends without any actual smut, and it ends with him presumably dead instead of alive bragging about his supposed sexual conquests. I guess he could be particularly genre-savvy and specifically wrote it in a way to discourage suspicion, but that's getting into tinfoil hat territory.

The one experience that most traumatized me out of a period of my entire family seeing shadow people happened when I was 6 or 7. It's hard for me to even type about it.

I woke up in bed, and couldn't move. I noticed the ceiling above me was illuminated with moonlight from the window, and then a procession of cloaked figures appeared and started marching across the ceiling. The one at the front was holding a staff, and had a goats skull for a head. And there was a bunch of tiny ones hopping around at the end of the line. This went on for maybe 30 seconds, then I woke up again and it was gone.

To this day, I don't think I've ever felt that kind of mortal fear again.

I've told the story. It's a similar visitor to Descartes anon's, but with a few key differences: that "she" has actual hair and eyes that are fiery rather than black, and that she's always been a pleasant and reassuring presence. I tend to see her more often during periods of stress: most notably when I had a fever of 103* that broke overnight.

I've yet to be lucid when she's involved, and I can't really count on her ever showing up any given night.

I posted this in the last thread just before it went inactive.
So I guess I will dump it again.

I don't know if this is a dream, or something that I imagine when tired.
Every single night, almost anyways, I see a.. thing - what might be best described as a mimic, something which wants to look human - but is not. Its arms seem to bend the wrong way and its feet are almost always hoofed. Sometimes its hair also seem to be "flowing" downwards.

I see it in various places in my house, but it often stands on top of my table in my living room and it always seem to stare at my point of view.

This creature will often look female but sometimes it looks male. I don't even know if it is the same thing to be honest.

Normally it doesn't seem to have malicious intentions but I remember one day after I got a bunch of new furniture it had clawed hands and it hissed at me. Which made me realize something, normally it held its mouth closed and it rather often smiles.

Last time it visited me, or I dreamed about it was last night, I viewed it from my true point of view (my bed) and it was "clinging" to the empty wall in my room. Its hair was dark blue and "flowing downwards" almost like water.
Its legs ended in spikes, rather than feet, and its mouth was very thin and straight.
I noticed its eyes were squeezed slightly.

Furthermore there always seem to be slight illumination when I imagine it.

So, has any of you heard about this kind of mimic before?
