Hello, /tg/.
It's that time again.
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Digimon%20Quest

Last time on Digimon Quest, we actually made some nice progress, named Sally, learned about a "gate", and met our Father, Paul Rogers. Who we then lied to with the help of a nat 20.
He frowns, and for a second, I think he's seen through my lie. But slowly, a smile spreads across his face. Oh, oh no. He's not going to-

"You kids wouldn't just be making excuses so you can spend a week together ALONE, would you?"

I sigh, and my face meets my palm, before I realize that this is exactly what I needed. Rather than see through my lie, he's just made it bigger. Slowly, I nod. His grin grows to an absurd degree, and he elbow me in the side.

"Kid, you only had to say so. You two are still young! you have to go out and do some of fun stupid things we did when we were your age!" He thinks for a moment. "Except the drugs. Don't do those. They're not so fun."

I nod shakily, and he slings an arm around my shoulder.

"So, where is Zoe, exactly?"

I try to look innocent as he asks, but when my gaze flicks up to my bedroom window, he follows my line of sight and sees Zoe looking down at us.

"I always knew you'd get a girl into your room eventually, kid. It was just a matter of time."

God damn it.

Aw man, yes, Digimon Quest!
Here's the Evolution Path thing I did, last thread.

[X] Sigh, in embarrassment - parents, ugh.
-[X] Say "OK dad, whatever - I'm going back inside now - please, just, don't tell Zoe what you just said there, ok?"
-[X] Then head back inside, to talk to Sally and Zoe and the Frimon, let them know everything worked out
>>
Hey, if we got his approval - think we can spin getting a bike out of this, as well?
>>
Oh hey, Digimon Quest! Fuck yes.
Glad I didn't miss it.
So, the old man agreed on letting us go camping, that's great news; he'd be ok with us buying stuff for the 'camping trip', then, right?

Also, when we get back up to our room, we need to hug Sally for not being seen from the window
>>
Oh boy...we need to make sure our dad doesn't speak with Zoe, or where Sally is, or this could get awkward.

"So.... seeing as how you're an expert on these things dad, Could you help me prepare for the Camping Trip? It's just, I don't want to mess this up and cause too many problems for her..."

even if we are not actually going on a camping trip, the supplies and such Will still prove useful in the unknown adventures we will be having...

I sigh, and just shake my head.

"Dad, promise me you won't be talking like that around Zoe, okay? This may have been her idea, and I may be going along with it to keep her out of trouble and safe, but I don't think she intended it like that." More like *I* didn't inted it like that. He grins easily, and ribs me in the side some more.

"Oh, so it was HER idea? Wow, kid, never knew she was that forward!"

"Dad. Dad please. Be serious. I don't want to mess this up for Zoe, or be a nuissance when I'm trying to help." I can feel a headache coming along already. And to my surprise, he does sober up a bit.

"Okay, kid. You'll need camping gear and the like, right?" I nod, and then an idea comes to me.

"A bike, too." He gives me a strange look, but seems to accept that.

"Okay, a bike. We can get one of those, too."

With the situation now under control, I thank him, and run back inside. Now I have to get a different kind of situation under control.

When I enter the room, I notice that Frimon is back out from his hiding place, and is sitting in Zoe's lap. Damnit.

Why can't he just listen to me?

"Alright, so he's bought the Camping story, but he thinks we're doing it to-...nevermind. And now he wants to get us the csmping gear, so we've just solved that problem." I say, and she looks at me curiously when I cut myself off.

"He thinks we're what?"

Shit, no. Backpedal, backpedal.

"Um, nothing. Anyway, are you feeling well enough to go with us, or should we let you rest some more?"

She looks down at herself, thinking quietly.

"I...I think I can go. I want to go." She says.

"Alright, and...

"We should take the Digimon with us." I finish, and Zoe looks at me oddly.

"why?"

Sally, piping up from her own hiding place under the bed, answers for me.

"Because the two of us are supposed to be your partners! We can't just leave each other behind, it's not right!"

"Well, I guess so," I concede, a smirk already growing. "But I was more worried about our pantry emptying suddenly."

This gets a laugh from Zoe, and a much more nervous one from Sally. Frimon doesn't really respond, but he does shift somewhat anxiously.

Grabbing my backpack from where it hangs, I empty the contents onto my desk, cleaning it out. Sally gets the idea quickly, and hops in, making herself comfortable. I'm surprised at how easily she accepted the idea, but then, it's a way for me to carry her around in public, and she doesn't seem to want to be separate from me.

I look to Zoe, but she doesn't seem to mind just carrying Frimon around for the time being.

Shouldering the pack- and giving it a small pat that I make sure Sally can feel- I head downstairs.

Before I leave, though, I try to think of anything I ought to do...

That way, she hopefully will be calm.

You say that as if we're not looking forward to seeing what comes from this!

Anyway, I wonder why the Frimon is so worried/acting strange - think we could ask Zoe to talk to the little guy some more?
Also, I'm really happy to know that we're getting a bike - you guys have no idea how helpful that can be, in moving around quickly, not to mention how much easier it makes travels.

We're making great time here, which is encouraging
We're going to be buying supplies and we've got our family to agree to let us go on the trip.

Now.
What, exactly, is needed for this?
I'm thinking the following
Food, and lots of it (because we've got, at minimum, 2 digimon to feed here - and it'd make sense for us to bring lots of food, since we're going camping)
Medicine, for Zoe.
Toilet paper and other hygiene stuff (you can get pretty sick if you don't take care of yourself)
Bike, which we're getting, to allow us to move around faster than on foot, and with less energy spent on it (Zoe can hold on to us as we ride).
Sleeping bags and a tent, both to encourage what we're doing, as well as to give us somewhere safe(r) to sleep when we get there.

Anything else, that I'm missing?
>>
>>23067637

Tools. Torches, knives, and whatever else. The stuff required for survival and comfort (and potentially, get wood -if any-)
>>
>>23067763
Ooh, yeah, good point - we definitely need some tools.
>>
So, make a quick prayer, and get some snacks for Sally seems to be what we've decided on, then?
>>
>>23067578
Heh, not sure how much our character would know about that, to be fair.
>>
>>23067829
For what it's worth, I really do think we need to bring some food with us, just in case either Sally or the Frimon gets hungry.

Not fully on board with the prayer thing, since no one mentioned any digimon god to us, so how could we know?
>>
>>23068087
I was joking about the sacrifice to the mon god
>>
>I had to delete this post twice, because I was not satisfied with how it played out. I'm hoping this is better.

We're going to need a lot of supplies, and thankfully, we'll probably be able to find them at an outdoor sporting goods store if not here at home or Zoe's.

I make stops at our bathroom, kitchen, and garage, moving quickly so my Dad doesn't get too curious.

He's still going over his newest works, spreading the papers out over the coffee table in the den.

Having packed an insane amount of food, a couple of knives and other tools, and as many hygiene essentials as I could into a rather large bag I found in the garage, I then run back up to my bedroom, once more checking to see if Zoe, Sally and Frimon were doing alright. Confirming that they are, though Frimon still looks unhappy with something, I head back down to request my dad drive us to somewhere we can buy what we need for our "trip."

He agrees readily, and the three (five) of us climb into his car. An older model, but a trustworthy one that's carried our family many places before. I find myself hoping that it doesn't have to carry all of us through that "Gate;" dad would probably have a fit.

The trip itself is uneventful, as is our arrival at the store. We browse through a good deal of possible tents and equipment, before finding three that we like:

A Large tent with a strong structure and fabric, but would require more time and space to set up and disassemble.

A Smaller tent that's light and easily carried, but not likely to withstand strong storms or winds.

and a Medium-sized tent that offers a very strong frame, but weaker fabric and would take more time than the smaller one to take apart or put up.

Sure, let's go with that.
Long as we can all rest there, a Medium tent seems reasonable.

And it's definitely better than a Small tent, which seems pretty useless, far as I can tell.

Mind, I wouldn't be against a Large tent either, since that could definitely help us out as well, but if this is what we goes with, I've got no complaints.

>>
How big would you say each tent is, by the way, Gale?
Like, is the Large tent as big as a room, or what?

Also, I'm really pleased that we got everything here - we're going to be really prepared for heading through the Gate. You know. Hopefully
>>
>>23068496
Medium is good then, if we pick the large we're fucked when the time for carrying everything around comes and if we pick the small is pretty useless.
>>
>>23068496
Oh, yeah, definitely going with Medium then.
If Large tent takes up space that we can use for food or tools or such things, yeah, not going to be worth it.

>>23068524
>The really essential things for camping ARE very simple. You usually can find all the things you'd REALLY need just lying around.

>>
throwing my vote in with the medium tent. strong enough for a sudden change of weather, light enough to not be too much of an encumbrance and easy enough to set up if inclement weather is approaching...
>>
Really, when you think about it? Our Digimon are going to be the best safety we'll get in wherever the Gate drops us, since they were specifically sent to help us out. Dropping any food or something like that, to carry around a Large tent will not be worth it, from that point of view.
>>
>>23068637
Well damn, Medium seems perfect for us, then.
Can handle some weather trouble, not as heavy as Large (and easier/quickler to set up), and has room for all 4 of us
>>
The Medium Tent is the most optimal, and allows us a lot more room than the small, but isn't as bulky as the large. I think my dad hints at another use for all that room, but I make it a point to ignore him.

As I'm browsing through multi-purpose jackets and coats, however, I'm struck by an odd feeling.

Almost as if someone or something is behind me. A quick glance confirms that there's nobody there, but the feeling persists. In fact, the process repeats itself several times, until I notice something very strange. Zoe, Dad, and I are the only ones in the store aside from the employees. And they don't look so well; some of them have bags under their eyes, and more than one of them is doing just as I was a moment ago, and is looking over their shoulder constantly.

Something isn't right.

Making sure to stay calm, casual, I slowly make my way over to one of the employees, tapping him on the shoulder. His reaction isn't what I expect; he leaps nearly a full foot into the air, spinning around as if I had just yelled at him.

"Um, excuse me?" I ask, taking in his disheveled and frankly haunted appearance. "Are you alright?"

"C-c-can I help you?" He asks in response, almost as if he didn't hear me.

Actually, that's pretty likely; I can see he's got cotton swabs in his ears.

Something really isn't right, here.

"Are you okay?" I ask him, once he's taken the earplugs out. He looks about as though trying to find someone listening in, before shaking his head.

"I don't know what's going on here, but I just know I'm never taking the night shift again." He shudders, and shakes his head again. I notice it's less to say "No," and more like he's trying to clear it.

"So...why the earplugs?" I venture, wondering if he'd tell me something like that. But then again, in his current condition...

"They're to..." He pauses, and looks around again, before leaning in conspiratorially, "To keep the voices out."

I'm pretty sure the look I give him speaks quite plainly what I think of that, and he blinks, as if realizing what he just said.

"No, no! Not like that! I mean actual voices! We've recorded them!"

THAT gets my attention. I ask if he could show them to me, but he refuses, as if suddenly realizing he had been talking to a customer the entire time.
>>
>>23071398

I cut my losses there and head back to where I last saw Zoe, who's looking at a coat that unzips to become a blanket from the waist down.

Quietly, I fill her, Sally and Frimon in on what I've learned.

"It sounds like a Bad Digimon's work," Sally says, a completely serious look on her face. Frimon nods in agreement, his expression even stonier.

I'm unsure what we could do about this situation, but perhaps they would know...

"We could wait here until dusk," Frimon suggests, "And then ambush it when it comes out of hiding!" He looks surprisingly eager to fight this thing, whatever it is.

Sally, however, looks a bit more uncertain.

"We could also go home, then come back," she offers. "It might give us more time to prepare for whatever it is that's doing this."

They both have valid points, and it's not very long to sundown at this rate anyway.

What should we do?

[X]Nod, carefully
-[X] "OK then, I think it's best we stay"
-[X] Make sure to check out the whole place, find good places to get an advantage out of what our two digimon can do in a fight; we're going to need a strategy.
-[X] If either Sally or Frimon gets hungry, tell them that they can eat as much as they like.

This seems like a good idea; it gives us a basic outline of the place so we can think up how our digimon would fight, it gets both of them food, and it allows both us and Zoe to prepare for this.
>>
>>23071405

it seems we have stumbled upon a clue as to the 'gate'. we must capture this 'bad digimon', so in-order to do so, we must consolidate our equipment and formulate a plan. seeing as though this shop has plenty of potential supplies, we could use the time formulating a plan and making note of items which could prove useful as contingencies.
>>
We're going home, we're dropping Zoe and dad and then we're gonna sneak up and try to figure out this shit on our own.

I'm all for adventuring but I don't think we should involve Zoe being as weak as she was, and with daddy around we're not doing jack shit for christmas.
>>
>>23071581
Dad should really leave, yeah - but Zoe said she wanted to be part of this, didn't she?
I mean, ok, yes, I can see where you're going with this, but how would you tell her to leave in a way she'd agree with?
And, if she leaves, well, I don't think we can count on Frimon doing anything.
>>
>>23071653
It's easy: She has to rest, or else she will get worst and will need double the resting time or even worst: hospitalized. I'm sure she would understand that basic concept, she's not stupid.
>>
>>23071753

>>
>>23073315
Staying, convincing Dad to leave, ask Zoe if she wants to go with him or us.
And no matter what Zoe picks, we're going to be working up a strategy for how to fight in the area.
>>
>>23073375
Pretty much this.
>>
>>23073397
It covers pretty much everything people have voted up to this point, after all.
>>
>>23073375
>Alrighty then.

"I'm staying," I declare, and Frimon nods in what seems to be a pleased manner. I can't really tell. Sally seems a bit more unsure, but somehow, I know she'll stick by us anyway.

Looking to Zoe, I give her the choice.

"You could go home, rest, and then come back, if you want, Zoe. You don't have to wait here with me." I offer, but she refuses, oddly determined.

"No, if you're going to be in danger, then I can't let you go alone!" Ignoring the fact that I'd have Sally with me, and Frimon for that matter, anyway.

"Alright, Alright." I have to cave to her determination once more. The girl's very strong willed when it's important.

The Real problem, however, is yet again my father.

He's still looking at a pair of new boots, just like he was a few minutes ago. He has to go. We can't do anything related to the Digimon here while he's around.

But how to get rid of him?

I have no idea.

Then Zoe tugs on my sleeve, pulling me aside. She steps forward, walks right up to my dad, and quietly, timidly asks him:

"Mr.Rogers? Um, do you think you could let Wayne and me walk back to your place on our own?" He gives her a funny look, but as she keep speaking, a look of understanding dawns on his face.

Damnit Zoe.

"I-I mean, we may be a little bit late getting home, but...it's not like we have anything else happening tonight, right?"

Slowly, my dad nods, that same grin still on his face.

He shoots me a wink as he walks out the door, his own purchases paid for, and a wad of cash left in Zoe's hands to pay for our own.

She turns back to face me, cheerily smiling and almost bouncing with every step.

I myself can't believe he bought that TWICE.

Holy shit.

Rolled 20

The Store's layout is pretty basic, and the employee's clammed up. Really, it'd be much smarter to ask the ones who know what they're doing.

I hope they know what they're doing, anyway.

"So," I begin, somewhat awkwardly. "What would be our first course of action?"

Frimon, surprisingly is the one to speak up first.

"If we can't get any more information from that guy, then we'll just have to figure things out on our own. Zoe! Put me down!" She seems startled by that command, but does so. I let Sally out of my bag, and she hops to the ground, shaking herself.

Sally and Frimon, now free from their confinement, dart around the floor, both of them sniffing and listening at measured intervals.

This continues for a while, and once more, I realize that something is horribly off:

All the employees have vanished.

The Digimon notice it as well, and I'm sure Zoe does too, and I'm about to ask what we're to do next, when I hear it; an echoing, sickly cackle.

The deranged laughter bounces off the walls, so that I can't pinpoint where it came from. This was what that man was talking about.

There's no time to think.

No time to stick to any sort of plan.

I see the clawed hand reaching out, at an almost ludicrous speed, grasping with bony fingers and claws, at-

At Zoe.

I leap, putting my all into it, and manage to pull her aside, the claws missing her by centimeters.

Continuing with my move, I pull Zoe behind me, placing myself between her and whatever's attacking us.

It's a...

It's a ghost. A lot like the classic halloween costume, but...far more gruesome.

Jagged teeth, hollow eyes, gnarled and withered limbs, shrouded in a a ragged white sheet.

"What.." I take a step back, Zoe following my example. "What the fuck is this?!"

"A Digimon..." Sally growls, and Frimon's frill almost explodes off his body, the spines standing so straight, I think they might have frozen solid. It's actually damned intimidating.

The ghost-like monster laughs again, and another chill runs down my spine.

It's nearly as tall as I am, and it's definitely as tall as Zoe is. And those claws, they're so much sharper than any finger nails ever ought to be.

And worst of all: we lost the chance to surprise it. That element is gone, and we'll have to deal with it in the open now.

The Creature's eyes are solely on me and Zoe. It likely doesn't consider Sally or Frimon threats, or doesn't even notice them.

In a single moment, I know what I have to do.

"Sally!" I yell, and she understands, grinning widely. Once more, she utters those words.

"Puppy Howling!" And the air is filled with sound waves I can't even describe, and that the ghost can't stand; it flails about madly, a pained wail ripping from its throat as it scrabbles at where its ears should be.

Next, is-

There. Frimon leaps up beside the creature, spinning wildly with his tail caught in his mouth, ramming his fringe and sole apendage into the ghost multiple times.

And apparently, Frimon hits really. Damned. Hard.

The thing flies into a wall, and even then, doesn't completely stop; the impact crushes several shelves and items along the way, and its head goes completely through the drywall.

Zoe seems to be in a state of shock, from seeing the cute(?) little thing do something like that, but having already seen what Sally can do, I'm only slightly less surprised.

And so I'm able to notice when the ghost thing starts to get back up.

>I'm going to end here for tonight, guys. If the thread manages to live to tomorrow, I'll pick right back up. If not, well, that's what a new thread is for.

2 well-fed Digimon jumping at another one who wasn't focusing on them is a pretty good thing, for us.
I'm glad I was here to argue that we should keep Zoe around last night, since I bet that's what made Frimon stick around as well.

The only thing that can make this better is if Sally evolves
>>
>>23084747

Anyway, if we're doing votes, here's my suggested strategy

"Sally, it's not down yet!"

The little dog leaps forward at my call, her little paws held out in front of her. This time, however, she says something different.

"Petite Punch!"

And again, the ghost's head goes through the wall, but this time, a ghastly wail accompanies it. Sally leap backwards, just in time, as another claw swipes at where she was previously.

A claw belonging to a ghost not currently embedded in a wall.

It's at that moment that I realize just how stupid we've been; we only assumed there was one ghost monster. If playing video games has taught me anything (aside from shoot the glowing spot) it's that there's never just one of an enemy. Ever.

And I went and pulled Zoe into this as wel-

Zoe.

Shit.

Turning to face her, I notice another ghost behind her as well, and once more, I'm forced to pull her away.

we're surrounded now, as the first monster pulls itself out of the wall...

[] Retreat!

[] We can do this!

[] (Would you like to spend some points?)
>>
>>23086727
Shit, not good.
What can we spend points on...?

If it's for an evolution, I'm definitely for it
>>
>>23086727
Oh shit, we need to get the fuck out or we're dead.
>>
>>23086727
Retreat to an open area where we can get an idea of how many we are facing before we decide whether or not to continue.
Does the first bakemon look at all injured?
>>
>>23086756
Given that they seem to interact with walls and such, we probably could run if we needed to - but let's see what points can be spent.
Because if this is a chance for an evolution, I definitely want to take it.
>>
>>23086804
We just slammed it into a wall, so I certainly hope so.
I like the idea of giving ourselves some space - long as we can have Sally howl at them as well, that'd be pretty nice, while we move away.
>>
>>23086805
>>23086755
>Your point balance (As of the last thread) was 705.

>>23086878
We're 5 points above getting Witchmon?
Can...can we maybe spend the points to unlock Witchmon, since we're in a fight that we need her help with?
Because if so...

[X] Spend points to open up Witchmon evolution
>>
>>23086909
Same.
We definitely could use the help.

>>23086933
Of course - Sally is our partner, she should get the chance to shine the most.
>>
>>23086982
>>23086933
>All this frimon-hate
>did I really make him that unlikeable, that you don't even want to see who he becomes?
>>
>>23086933
Come to think of it, Zoe has her own point total that she's working towards, with Frimon.
So it'd be a waste to spend our own points to help with that, I think?

Not to mention, it's Witchmon, I want to have her appear!
If it can work permanently, that's a huge boon.
>>
>>23087016
He's a douche, but it's not really hate, it's just that we wuv our sally she's so fucking cute :3
>>
>>23087016
frimon's evolution probably costs less, and having two rookies is better than a in-training and a champion
>>
>>23087016

Not really. At least, in my opinion.
Myself, I'm curious of what he'll become.
>>
>>23087016
Nah, I think he's ok, little quiet perhaps, but generally seems to care for Zoe so I approve of him.
It's just, I'm more invested in Sally, so I want to see what she's like.

Plus, Witchmon could actually finish off some of these enemies, so no matter what we chose, opening up Wichmon for us will be very helpful
>>
>>23087057
But we're in the dark, he could evolve into fagtmon and leaving us fucked with less points. Sally is a safe bet in that we know her path, I don't like gambling when I'm using points.
>>
>>23087057
A Champion will let us stand on even ground with any given bakemon.
Given that we're surrounded by them, that's pretty damn valuable.
Although - how much can it cost, really, to get Frimon into an evolution?
Can we maybe, like, have Zoe's point total and 5 points from us boost Frimon up to the next level?
>>
>As
>>23087025
>said, Zoe has her OWN point total.
>However, Digivolving would take up one turn, meaning you'd get the same option next time, but the circumstances may have changed.
>>
>>23087124
So do we agree with the whole get some space, digievolve Sally & wreck their shit?
>>
>>23087124
Well there we go, I think.
I suggest Sally evolves into Witchmon, and then when she gets into a fight as we move back to see how many we're fighting, Zoe spends her points on Frimon, assuming we'd need that.

We might also want to grab at some tool as we move back, so we can keep ourselves momentarily safe at least.
>>
>>23087172
Yeah, definitely seems like the best plan.
When we get some space, we can also have Frimon Digivolve from Zoe's point total.

Or ours, if 5 points is enough to set that up - Gale, how much would it cost to digivolve Frimon?
If it's 5 points, I think we should go ahead with it as well.
>>
>>23087250
>Zoe's points are low, but the five might help. however, that would leave you completely empty on points.

>If you'd like to give the reins to luck, you could roll to see if Zoe's evolution succeeds, by rolling a d100 and adding whatever you get to Zoe's total.
>Given our track record, however, I would not recommend it. Up to you.

>Our basic plan of attack is decided, though?
>>
>>23087321
I vote on my plan >>23087172
also make another anotation, does physical exercise (like the dash we're going for) hurt Zoe's condition? If it does we carry her.
>>
>>23087321
I'd be down for handing the 5 points over to help Zoe open up Frimon for a digivolution.
They're our friends, and our allies, and the stronger they are, the better off we will be as well.
Plus the poor little guy might be feeling a little bad if he stays at his current stage while Witchmon is running around

But yes, our basic plan seems to be set.
>>
>>23087366 here, just felt like making an addition
I'd like to note that a Champion and a Rookie is better than a Champion an an In-Training, to play off of what Dark said here >>23087057

If our 5 points can push Frimon into digivolving into a Rookie, we'd be doing pretty good for this fight.
>>
>>23087366
Well, note that Gale didn't say it'd be enough to evolve Frimon, just that it could be given a go.

Also, if Frimon is following the primary evolution path I just looked at, my hype meter for this quest is going to be off the charts.
>>
To be honest, I'm a bit leery of us being completely bereft of points after our first combat encounter, as that seems like it could leave us high and dry down the road.
>>
>>23087568
Hm, true.
Still, 700 points for Witchmon, and if it helps, 5 points to Frimon seems like the best idea we've got here.

I'm hoping for Frimon to be heading towards Leomon, personally
>>
>>23087701
Digievolve or gtfo, those are our options.
>>
>>23087710
You and me both.
>>
>>23087701
Eh, fair point.
But the 700 points to unlock Witchmon seems like a decent way to spend them now, so depending on what we decide to do with Frimon, we could have 5 points left.
Anyone think we should roll that d100?

>>23089471
Don't be like that - nothing would inherently make Lilithmon nasty towards us.

I never said she'd be nasty, it's just that if she's the digital embodiment of lust, who digivolved from the fallen angel of femdom, that kind of shapes what forms our interactions will take.
>>
>>23090521
Alternatively, the sin in the relationship could be that they are committing INTER-SPECIES MISCEGENATION, and are otherwise a perfectly healthy and loving couple.

There just too many of them to fight in here. the aisles are too confining, and they blocked the other ghosts from our lines of sight until it was nearly too late.

Staying here would be the worst of ideas.

With Zoe behind me, I start edging away, the Ghosts' eyes following us as I do. Zoe inhales sharply behind me, and I'm suddenly reminded of her illness. She won't be able to sprint, like I'd been about to.

"Sally, Frimon, we need to get out of here." I say, keeping my eyes on as many ghosts as I can. They share a look, and Sally begins to use Puppy Howling to stun as many as possible, Frimon bashing more and more of the ghosts away.

With a start, I realize they're clearing a path for us, and a grin works its way onto my face. Leading zoe through the opening in the ghosts, I follow the two Digimon out.

Once we near the doors, I shift Zoe's position from behind me to in front, placing myself between her and the monsters-

Just as I feel the claws grasping at my shirt, the nails ripping into the fabric and taking hold. My body, however, wants to continue moving, despite the almost iron-like grip. The resulting stop sends a painful jolt through my body.

I can hear Zoe screaming my name, and Frimon yelling, but nothing from Sally. Through the confusion, I look about, and spot her; frozen in place, her eyes wide as she takes in the scene before her.

Then, her eyes seem to change.

"Let..."

Her voice is cold, and not at all like I've ever heard her.

"Go..."

I feel something small and cold in my hand, hard as metal.

"Of..."

The thing in my hand begins to warm up, as the ghost continues to drag me back inside the store.

"My Human!" Sally SNARLS, and suddenly, there's a burst of light from both my hand, and the little dog herself. At the same time, I can see Frimon and Zoe through the glow, and a similar shine in Zoe's own hand.

But Sally...she's changing again. I know it.

And so do the ghosts.

>Now enveyel
>Indeed captcha. indeed.
>>
>>23091445
A wave of pressure, a powerful wind, hits me, and I can feel it flowing around me, almost holding me, while it presses against the hands grasping at me, forcing them away.

There's a blur of red, and a flash of gold, and one of the ghosts is suddenly in pieces, split along two lines across its midsection.

Another one is thrown into a window, the glass shattering around its form.

The one that had been holding me finds its arms missing, phantasmal blood pouring from the wound.

And then I'm in the air, being held by an enormous claw the color of blood.

A claw connected to a stunning young woman, with blond hair, and dazzling turqoise eyes.

Her dress, long and red, is strapped onto her, literally, with belts and chains, accentuating her slim figure. Along her legs are gold runes like the ones on Salamon's collar, and on her head is a tall and crooked conical hat. Perched on her shoulder is a small cat, that just feels more like an extension of herself than a separate creature. She's sitting on a broomstick, somehow managing to keep her balance despite the flimsy appearance of the object.

And the smile she's giving me seems so familiar.

"...Sally?"

She nods, her smile widening, and then her eyes harden as another ghost flies out of the store, its claws outreached.

Only to be struck down by a golden blur, this time launched from the ground. Looking closer, I can see that it's a lion-like animal, the same shade of yellow as Frimon.

Zoe stands behind it, looking awestruck at the creature.

Sally, now this human-like being, floats down closer to the ground, though she doesn't let me off.

I think we have all learned a valuable lesson now.
Do NOT fuck with Sally.

F-Yeah Witchmon!

someone remember to archive this thread, when we're done for this time.

>It's already been done, though that seems to have been last night, when combat wasn't really going on.

This was fantastic, Gale.
I really liked it!
So, now our team consists of Witchmon, and Liollmon.
Methinks the Bakemon are seriously reconsidering messing with us.

>>23091745
Hm, fair enough.
Let me amend my vote, then

X] Stare in amazement at Sally - she just kicked ass
-[X] Reach out, cup cheek
-[X]SALLY: Blush
-[X]Blink, look embarrassed and shrug "Err, sorry. Not really used to being on this side of the whole 'carried' thing."
-[X] Then look down at Zoe and the lion-like Digimon, who is probably Frimon. "Are you both ok?"
>>
>>23091463
Check our hand to see what the deal with the glowing is?
>>
>>23091772
Only after we have taken her out for dinner, and courted her properly. We're gentlemen here, after all.
>>
Hey, Gale, there aren't any bakemon left, right?
I mean, I can't imagine Sally being so calm and coming this close to the ground, if there's any threats left to us.
>>
>>23091924
>You want to make sure?
>only four are incapacitated, as it is, and there were more than that in the store...
>>
>>23091976
After we get our bearings straight, we really should check in on this.
Because, well, I don't think it'd be a good idea to leave, now - if we do, they know who we are, and can go after us.
>>
>>23091537
You didn't realize this one when knocked a dude out with her voice?
>>
>>23091463
"I'm loving the new look Sally, but I think one of the things I liked most was the way you kicked that ghost's ass. You in the mood for some more of that?"
>>
>>23092025
Well, ok, yeah - but what she did here is, well, it seems more impressive.
Anyway, point is, Sally is wonderful.

Really glad she managed to reach Champion.
>>
>>23092102
Oh man, yes, we need to say this.
We need so badly to say this.

I mostly just want us to cup her cheek because, dammit, she digivolved and we're now flying in the sky, how can we not make that happen?
>>
>>23091832
>>23091838
>>23092102

go for it. makes most anons happy & provide material for a more comprehensive and advancing update. not to mention a helping of Character Development...
>>
It's nice in that it includes every option that people voted for.
>>
either Gales attention has been diverted by some occurrence, or the update is just that good, that it needs the time to be perfected and polished...
>>
>>23093530
I am curious to see what will happen, yeah.
Will be interesting!

Despite the situation, I can't help but stare at Sally. She just annihilated several other Digimon, but now she's just smiling at me, craddling me in those claws of hers. And...I feel safe. Like there's no way she'd ever tighten her grip, or let those nails too close...

I reach up, not really thinking it through, and cup her cheek in my hand, feeling her face warm as she blushes from the contact. Blinking, I realize just what it is I'm doing, and I'm suddenly all too aware of my own face heating up in embarassment. I pull my hand away, but that nearly unbalances us, and so I hold onto her shoulder instead.

"Uh, sorry," I begin, feeling very self conscious, "I'm just, um, not all that used to being on this side of the whole 'carried' thing."

She laughs at that, and I realize even her voice has changed.

"Well," She smiles, "I wasn't so used to it either, until you picked me up first." The amusement dancing in her eyes hints at a far more mischievous personality than she previously had.

Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Zoe and...whatever it is Frimon's turned into looking up at us from below.

"Are you two okay?" I ask, and I recieve a hesitant nod from Zoe and an almost imperious glare from the Lion.

"Of course," It replies, a hint of disdain creeping into its voice. "That Bakemon was so weak, I could have beaten it without my Critical Fang."

So, my new ally's called Liollmon, huh? And the ghosts are Bakemon?

Well...staying informed is always good.

I look down at my other hand, the one that isn't currently resting on Sally's shoulder, and find a small silver and red contraption clutched tightly by fingers I hadn't know I had clenched.

Opening my hand, I see it's something resembling a cell phone, but far simpler, almost like it's not supposed to be a cell phone at all.

"What...what is this?" I ask, and I can hear Sally's breath hitch.

"...a Digivice." She whispers, and I can see a sort of untold joy in her eyes. "It's the final sign of a bond between a human and their Digimon. The sign of our pact, of our partnership." She looks me in the eye, and I can see a veritable ocean of exuberence just waiting to burst forth.

"It's a sign that our bond has been recognized and approved by the gods."

Blinking in surprise, I look between her and the small thing in my hands.

Really? This was of that great a significan-

"Wait...gods?"

Before she can answer, one of the remaining Bakemon cries out in that wailing voice of theirs, reminding me that it's not over just yet.

"...Sally, I'm loving the new look," She virtually preens at that, soaking in the compliment readily. "...but I think one of the things I liked most was the way you kicked that ghost's ass. You in the mood for some more of that?" Now, her proud look twists into something a bit...crueler.

"Of course, Wayne." And then she lifts her other hand, pointing at the sporting goods store.

"Aquary Pressure."

In front of her finger, a circular series of runes appears, glowing bright blue in the night air. At first, nothing happens. Then, I start to notice the air getting heavier and heavier with water, mist forming and settling on the ground.

And then all hell breaks loose.

A torrent of water pours from the rune, twisting and undulating in the air, before pounding into the gathered Bakemon, blasting them through the doors of the store, and through several walls, out the back of the building.

Only a few words come to my mind as I take in the carnage that ensues.

"Holy fucking shit."

[] oh shit, what do
>>
>>23093892
>Fuck, I forgot to put in a line.

>"That Bakemon was so weak, I could have beaten it without my Critical Fang
>should be
"That Bakemon was so weak, I could have beaten it without my Critical Fang. It was no match for Liollmon."
>>
>>23093908

ensure that all the Bakemon have been neutralised. Ask Sally and Liomon (add getting Zoe to name him on things to ask her list) on what to do with them so they cause no more trouble (assuming we did not just slaughter them), carry out the required stuff then amscray form the devastation the fight has caused.
>>
>>23093908
I love Sally.
yes, I know this isn't a perfect situation or anything, just let me enjoy the triumph over the ghosts for a moment ok done

So, seems the digi-gods approve of our union.
Let's be very damn careful what we do with this digivice.

Anyway, yeah, we need to get out of here.
Assuming we paid for the bike and such, this was a pretty productive day.

[X] Stare in open amazement at what Sally just did
-[X] Bring jaw off of the floor, look up at Sally.
-[X] "So, yeah, we probably should leave soon - the bakemon won't bother anyone anymore, right?"
-[x] Leave, with our stuff (that we've paid for), quickly
>>
>>23094016
Seconding this. Especially the asking Zoe to name Liollmon later
>>
>>23094124
This works too.
>>
>>23094016
Oh, yeah, good point, Zoe definitely should think of a name for her digimon partner.
That was really important for our connection with Sally, after all.

Also, after we safely leave, we need to ask Sally about the whole 'gods' thing.
>>
[x] Walls have been destroyed, time to skedaddle.

FYI, skedaddle is in the spellcheck on my computer. That's excellent.
>>
I kind of feel like we should try and catch at least one of those Bakemon, and see if it's open to coercion.
Because I got a lot of questions only a dumbass ghost can answer.
Should we ask Sally to see if she can make one of them stick around?
>>
Can Liollmon carry Zoe on his back?
Because that'd really be the fastest way to travel, with us carried by Sally and Zoe riding Liollmon (anyone else think that might be why her partner is acting like he is? Because he's jealous Sally got a name - and we all saw how overjoyed she looked when she got one - while he hasn't got one yet?), it should allow us to really speed up how fast we can get from point a to point b.

Plus, it'd be the safest way to travel as well, given we'd be moving with a Champion and a Rookie.
>>
>>23094546
Depends, really - we can't really stay here, after the destruction caused.
And given how Sally here just slammed them through multiple walls with her awesome powers, after they tried to continue fighting us, they might not exactly be all there.
Could always ask Sally about it, I guess?

Also, after this? Sally has just earned herself a home cooked meal by Wayne
>>
>Any ideas what we'll be doing, then?
>If not, then I think I'll call it a night.

>This has been a very productive thread, though. Made a ton of progress, digivolved, and kicked ass.
>>
>>23094962

i would like to think that the general idea is to 'get the F outta dodge' as the saying may or may not go. Asking questions based upon this new revelation is a certain point, though i would like to ensure that the Bakemon have been thoroughly dealt with.
>>
>>23094962
Well, I suppose this is it for this week.

I'll see you all next Saturday, then!
>>
>>23095158
Unfortunately, my time's run out for now. But there's always next week.
>>
>>23095164

once again, it has been an honor and a privilege to partake in this quest. Have a pleasant week Gale.
