Why, boner. Why.

You decide to check in on Steak. After all, he's been left alone in the town for a long while now. You walk in by yourself, met only by a lot of screaming and people running into their homes and locking their doors. Some back into corners, but none seem to want to fight you. It must be the hat. Bitches love the hat.
You search around for Steak, and wonder where he could have gone, before you smell something. You recognize it, as it is something that Steak seems to be fond of. You follow the scent to find a large building full of intoxicated people.

You arrive within the bar. You stare around and notice all the alcoholics. Some are drinking until they collapse. You see one that is attempting to try and drink himself to death, literally Many of them look like Steak. There is only one option left for you.
You lick each and every one of them. Most of them are too drunk to care. As you continue your licking, however... you begin to get a little wobbly. You feel strange. One of the men jumps onto one of the tables and begins to dance. It is a drunken jig, not very professional. You know you cannot be defeated, however. You jump on next to him, to defend your honor.
>What do you do to counter his dance moves?

Breakdancing. Get someone to lay down a beat and breakdance.

You can feel the rhythm. You can feel the beat. Your limbs are a blur. As you dance, all attention is on you. Your movement is quick and rapid, but careful and precise. As you finish, you spin your hat off. It lands on the head of Steak. He was trying to pick up a rather beautiful young woman. He is now weeping. You're not sure whether it's awe, fear, or both.
>What do you do now?

You stare at Steak. You stare at the woman he is trying to flirt with. She is clearly drunk, but Steak doesn't seem to mind, considering he's just as, if not more, drunk. Steak wobbles over to you, and asks you to teach him how to dance like that. You tell him that one day, the Hive-Emperor shall grant him the ability to have just as sweet a rhythm as yourself. You then lick him, and the girl. Another girl runs over to you, clearly amazed at your dancing skills. You expertly spin her over into Steak's hands, grab your hat, and make your exit.

She's really quiet and bookish, the only reason Hormissar dated her was because she had massive craniums. Hormissar broke up with her before he got his hat and now she's been following him to try and make him love her again the way he used to when they were both broodlings.

You hear a funky beat from up in the air. You look up, and see what looks like a rather small Carnifex. What it lacks in size, however, it makes up for with unnecessary amounts of large golden weights around it's neck.
When it notices you, it begins to lay down a kickass beat, that echos throughout the town.
You see townspeople leaving their homes and coming out, just to see what is making that beautiful noise. The Carnifex looks around, and then walks off. You make a note to yourself to track down that Carnifex one day.

The true meaning of man and Tyranid, for they shall be intertwined into a new species. One stronger and better than before. You notice that many of the civilians flee back into their homes, but some stay out and listen. You wake up. It's a strange feeling, sleeping. You didn't think you'd be capable of it. Hormagaunts are noted for their short lifespans, due to their expendable nature. However, you don't feel that way. You feel different.

Confused, you check it out. You squeeze past the crowd and into the building. From the inside you can hear what sounds like moaning from the floor above.
You found Steak.

Instead you open the door, to find what seems to be Steak lying in a bed with a young, red-haired woman. You proceed to walk up and lick Steak before anyone says anything, and then take your leave. Steak is crying while you leave, while the woman is confused.
>>22701441
You decide to fuse some of the other townsfolks with your Hormagaunt swarm.
>What exactly do you guys want to do to the townspeople?
>>22701403
(Oh dear lord this terrifies me.)
>>
>>22701607
I want to give Steak a reward in the form of a Hybrid-mate.
Do the same for other townsfolk.
>>
>>22701607
We need a bigger swarm! So either we mold them into more gaurdisaurs, or we conscript them as a militia. For the Hive-Emperor!
>>
>>22701607
find more viable mates for Steak.
>>
>>22701628
Fuse even more townspeople, Have the lictor eat some of the sandwich makers, and have the remainder as normal worshippers of the Hive-Emperor.
>>
>>22701607
We should request some more hormagaunts from the hive mind if we can, we might run across something big next.
For villagers, take the weak and cowering unfaithful ones and merge them with the gaunts.
>>
>>22701668
>Have the lictor eat some of the sandwich makers
No! They are sacred!
>>
>>22701707
But then we have a sammich making lictor to have sandwiches in the field without worrying about fragile humies
>>
>>22701607
Turn that Red-head into a hybrid to show Steak how much we value his devotion.
>>
>>22701737
No, that means steak's breeding would be unsuccessful.
>>
Make the Red Head a hybrid.
>>
>>22701737
How about we just give him more alcohol, to encourage more breeding?
>>
>>22701607
ensuring Steak will have successful mating is all well and good, but what if some traitor townsfolk send a distress...i mean ambush signal to some local troublemakers.

What are own standing forces and what rate can when replenish or add to our current Nidperial Guard.

Our first and formost duty is to spread the Hive-Emperors will across the lands and then to the stars(which are filled with heretics and willing ears)
>>
>>22701607
those that are symbioted get upgrades! more efficient organs! regeneration! additional strength, speed and toughness, and are now in tune with the will of the hive emperor!
>>
>>22701813
Yeah, we need a troop update, and pop update, maybe what we got on hand?
>>
>>22701668
(Victor's back at the other town solidifying control and worship of the Hive-Emperor)
>>22701655
>>22701669
You decide to begin to Hybridize the population. Anyone unwilling to worship shall be fused with one of the Hormagaunts under your command. (The Process of this causes a sort of mind wipe, erasing the person's personality, just letting you guys know.)
>You currently have:
- 50 Hormagaunts (With 50 more with Victor at the previous town.)
- 21 "Guardifexs" (20 Townspeople converted)
- 1 Steak (Delicious.)
- 1 Lictor (Named Victor)
- 1 Hormissar
- 500 Townspeople
- 50 Sandwich Makers
- 5000 Biomass
(Once you reach reclamation pools, you'll be able to "spend" the biomass to obtain larger and stronger Tyranids.)
>What do you do now?
>>
>>22701936
Send out scouts to find new enemies to conquer and people to spread the word to
>>
>>22701936
Demand information (and sandwiches) from the population, regarding surrounding towns, military bases, science labs, anything else of interest.

also, we need to reward Steak in some way. Should we maybe ask him what it wants?
>>
>>22701936
Do we know of any other villages or encampments in the area? Especially IG camps, I don't think we're ready to look for SM yet.
>>
>>22701813
>>22701846
this also means not consuming planets, they have to remain workable, and the population remain protected. they are the hive-emperor's citizens, and he protects.
>>22701936
sybiosis is superior, prefer to not destroy who they are, but enhance them to our side. symbiotes should also allow them to convert biological materials into energy, so no qualms about recycling the dead. material is material and won't make them sick

also. steak upgrades go. we won't stop until he is a superman!

in addition, try something other than a sandwich. maybe someone's making a good stew.

I'll be back guys, dinner's about to start. In the meantime, plan on what to do with your "supplies" and whatnot.

Alrighty, Rectanges are villages/towns. Four pointed stars are cities, and the hexagon is a hive. Blue is rivers/ocean, brown triangles are mountains, grey is roads, and green circles around towns are captured territory. The random green ovals are reclamation pools. >>
>>22704498

I second this notion. Original Guardifex shall watch over our southern territory, and work on mass producing delicious sammiches to sustain our army!

Plain ol' biomass is fine, but morale always improves with a little variety in the soldiers diets!
>>
>>22704645
(Hey, at least you made it pretty. Look at mine, then at yours. Yours is made of solid gold to my steaming turd of a map.)
(Also, I forgot to mention, you have 2 Genestealers, along with 8 Genestealer Cultists. You also have a chimera, 12 Civilian transports, and 2 Limos.)
>>22704498
>>22704832
You decide it's properly time to head out. You leave the original "guardifex" in charge, who accepts the role graciously. You take as transport with you your original chimera, the civilian transports for your fellow Hormagaunts, and the Genestealers take their limos.
You decide to give Steak your Hellgun, as you don't have as much use for it as he does. Steak, being half dressed at the moment due to being busy procreating a few minutes ago, accepts, if rather rudely.
As you head out, the voice in your head tells you "SOUTH. POOL. BIOMASS." You decide that the voice, not having lied to you yet, is trustworthy, and head southwards.
You see familiar sights as you approach the reclamation pool. Capillary towers begin to become more and more common. It is refreshing to see something natural to you, rather than the strange sights you've been exposed to recently. You eventually arrive at your destination. Steak is hiding in the chimera, refusing to get out, complaining of something smelling worse than his mother's cooking, or something along those lines. Regardless, you're here.
>What do you do?
>>
>>22705001
Realise you are despoiling the world, and need to integrate with the local ecosystem to create the foundation of a working realm for the hive emperor.

Spend biomass upgrading symbiosis. Requisition some foodrippers, so that they can be domesticated and harvested for sandwich ingredients.
>>
>>22705001
What happens if we dunk Steak in the breeding pool?
>>
>>22705001

I imagine the Hive-Emperor would be displeased if we left all His worlds as barren husks. Some, yeah, I am sure He would approve, but not ALL of them. I second >>22705063

Upgrade Symbiosis, so we can meld human and gaunt together without destroying the human's mind, or driving them completely insane beyond recovery.

Also some proper hands! We needs HANDS to use the tools of Man!
>>
>>22705001
Receive Termagants, keep some, send some back to reinforce our two towns. Make Hormagants stronger, and somehow improve guardifex. Acquire ripper swarms.

YOU REALIZE YOUR BIGGEST ERROR. You stare at yourself. No, not like that, don't be dumb. You stare at your arms. On the ends, there are no fingers. There are no thumbs. The realization of this makes you want to scream out in terror.
>You have spent 100 Biomass to acquire high-quality hands, well-made, hands!
It was worth it, you say, twirling your pistol with your newly made hands.
>You also spend 1000 Biomass upgrading the Symbiosis technique! People now retain their minds!
>>22705063
>You spend 900 acquiring food-rippers! You now have a renewable, food source that, with time, can produce new yields of biomass (And sandwiches)!

also, weapon symbiotes wieldable by human auxiliaries. perhaps biological lasguns. you also need reloads for your bolt pistol. get some biobolts.
>>
>>22705342

Huzah! Hands! Let us feel all the things!

"By the Hive-Emperor, Steak, you are so squishy! We must fix that!"

Using new symbiosis capabilities, we must UPGRADE STEAK! He is our second in command after all, have the best understanding of humans out of the entire group.

I suggest subdermal carapace plating! Keep the human look, but make his skin on par with hormagaunt chitin! And it serves as an anchor point for anything REALLY weird we put on him.

this, also organ enhancement, and a general strength boost. his immune system is now microscopic rippers that eat disease. perhaps make it so he can spend and use biomass to upgrade himself.

Steak*.

Think we need more biomass to pull that one off.

Plus it might eat him from the inside out.

We must EXPERIMENT on lesser subjects. Steak is delicious. Only we get to eat Steak. Ranking officer and all that good jazz.
>>
>>22705482
With your new hands, you realize now that Steak himself deserves an upgrade! Ignoring his cries for help and tears, you proceed to symbiotically increase his physical capabilities!
>For the price of 1200 Biomass, Steak is now immune to most, if not all, known diseases, able to survive a lasgun shot without injury while unarmored, able to emit pheromones to change moods, and able to run up to 15 Miles Per Hour for extended periods of time.
>>
>>22705781
Congratulate Steak. Tell him he is now an alpha human, and will sire many childeren. That should cheer him up.

Then let's get traveling.

>>22705409
>>22705458
You spend the rest of your Biomass acquiring biobolts for your bolt pistol, biolasguns, and Termagants! (Am I the only one who wonders why it's TermaGANT and HormaGAUNT?)
>You spend 1500 for 150 Termagants, 50 biomass for 300 biobolts, 200 biomass for 20 biological lasguns, and 50 biomass for 200 bio-laspacks.

You stand up, and open the top of the Chimera. You begin to wave one of your scythes above you menicingly while the chimera drives you toward the town.

>>
lets update the wiki page!
http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Hormissar_Gaunt
>>
i suggest that ogryns be included...
maybe even some ratlings.
but what we need most is more biomass to get ready to assault the city nearby, and we do that by getting support from everyone in the surrounding towns
>>
>>22707458
there are a few options we have:
the towns are automatic and needed, as they both give us resources and troops (sandwiches and possible guardifexes.)
then we should consider the following: the smallest city, which is very close to the hive, would be the easiest pickings, but the imperial forces on the planet would immediately be aware of us and it would be hard to defend the city with what we have (considering we are next door to the main garrison.)
we may also take the more removed, more populous city (as it has the most towns nearby, this will take a while, but would give us a nice stream of sandwiches and troops) which would raise less alert to the imperial forces, but alert them still...
but we must do both in order to capture the final city, and then the hive. (we must do it in this fashion, as assaulting a city now would end in failure due to insufficient resources, the possibility of reinforcements from the central hive, and would tell the imperials that we are here. the way to take the hive is to deny it these resources and reinforcements by taking all of the cities and converting them.)
what we must consider, however, is that the choice is not if, but when and which. and as such we must choose the most logical and effective siege first.
I for one vote for the more displaced, close and populous, (albeit time consuming) city.
>>
>>22706674
Because Termagant sounds better than Termagaunt.
>>
How much biomass do we currently have?
>>
Rolled 62, 72, 47, 79, 18, 16, 70 = 364

>>22709132
We started with 5000 (>>22701936)
Then we spent 2000 on hands, better symbiosis and getting some foodrippers (>>22705342)
Then we upgraded Steak to be epic for 1200 (>>22705781)
Then we spend 1800 on getting Termagants, Biobolts, Biological Lasguns and bio-laspacks.

So that equals out to 0 biomas, as of right now.
>>
>>22713171
This clearly means that we require more biomass. Next village? It might be worth taking >>22707630 into account, and destroying the satelite towns for the cities, which would reduce the support the cities have, which would in turn reduce the support the hive gets.

We have genestealers, don't we? Let's send some infiltrators in.
>>
>>22713244
i agree, get some more troops and resources by having the genestealers... well, i hate to be racist but... steal them...
>>
well, i say that the emperasque may be the promised hive-emperor...
or some shit like that.
>>
>>22714654
Nah, because the emprasque has a mind of its own - something that would never be accepted by the tyranid swarm. Admittedly, some tyranids need to be more independent than others, but it seems to me to be more of a breeds of dog thing than a species thing - you breed some dogs to be more independent than others, because it's really not very helpful to have a dog that chases game but comes back every 5 minutes to ask you whether it's doing the right thing.
>>
>>22714904
thats because tyranids are,
more or less,
all one organism (albeit a large and very scattered organism) that has a moving digestion system.
>>
>>22715887
the plankton! it is revolting!
