"Sorry," he says, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Kinda... off."

"What do you mean?" You glance back outside, then turn to the GPS agent. "Come inside." You open the door for him and he steps in, and you close the door behind him. "What happened?"

He sags back against the door and lets out a sigh of what sounds like relief. "Had a bit of a run in with some goons earlier," he explains. "I was outnumbered, but they were stupid. They got a little too close to me a few times, as you can see." He looks down at his shirt and frowns. "Do they know how difficult it is to get blood stains out of clothing!? Christ. This is my favorite shirt, too!" He notices your blank expression, and he shrugs. "That's not important. I wanted to see if everything was okay over here, since it looked like these jerkoffs were heading this way."

Heading this way? That's a worrying thought. "Well, uh, everything is quiet over here. Everyone went home; Tadashi and Roslyn were the last ones to leave, and they left just before you arrived."

"I see." Crossfire casts a few glances around the living room, almost as if he's looking for something. "Well, if it's all good, I'll be getting out of here and back on patrol." If he's leaving, you don't know the next time you'll see him.

Well, the thought is tempting. You aren't entirely sure what you want to do, though. "If I go through with this training, will I be able to start doing things like you and Tadashi?"

"I'll need you to be a little less vague, son. We do a lot of things."

"Well, react to hostile situations faster and better than other people, for one. Another thing I can think of is that habit of yours, searching for bugs and the like? Will I be able to learn that stuff, too?"

Crossfire sighs. "If I had time to teach you everything, then yes, you would be able to do all of those things and more. Since I only really have two weeks to work with, all I can do is give you the basics. You'll hopefully pick up on how to defend yourself and others in hand-to-hand fighting... You'll learn your way around a gun a little bit better... Hmm." He scratches his chin. "We can teach you some other things, too, of course. If there's anything in particular you want to learn, we can try and teach it to you."

"Alright," Crossfire says. "Monday morning. What I want you to do is go about your usual business, and when your friends go to school, get ready to go for a jog. If they ask, tell them that you're doing exactly that. While you're out, I'll pick you up, and we can begin." You nod. "Good. Now, I'm gone." He slips out the front door, closing it behind him.

"Well, I guess it's done."

"What's done?" You look up and see Miyuki coming down stairs, still drying her hair. She's wearing that shirt of yours she loves so much.

"Er, nothing. Just talking to myself."

"Oh. Well, what are we going to do tomorrow?" she asks.

"Want to head to sleep?" you ask. "You sound tired." You're barely able to keep yourself from yawning as you say that.

"Yeah, I think so. I'm surprised you're not just as tired as me, though. You and Tadashi were cleaning up a lot of stuff, and on top of that, you made it one giant game."

You shrug. "It's not a big deal. Anyway, I'm going to take a shower then head to sleep. Leave me some space on my own bed, would you?" you ask playfully.

"I promise nothing~" she says, a coy tone coloring her words. "Well, maybe I will, as long as I'm not awake for hours on end waiting."

"I went for a jog," you explain. "I needed to clear my head."

"Uh huh." The girl heads back upstairs, and you follow behind her.

"It's true!"

"Whatever you say, Anon-kun~" You can tell she's just teasing in attempt to get a rise out of you.

You shrug her off and get some clothes, and then you head into the bathroom to take a shower. When you get back into the room, she's already asleep. At the very least, you note, she isn't taking up the entire bed tonight. You climb into bed and fall asleep, your own exhaustion catching up with relative ease.

When you wake up, you see Miyuki still fast asleep. You glance at the clock, which reads 10:42AM. Well, you both definitely slept in. You slide out of bed and stretch. When you glance back at the bed, you see Miyuki already claimed the space you left behind, and the sight brings a grin to your face.

Well, you've got time today. The last day before you're officially suspended, and last day before your equally-long training session. You make some breakfast for yourself and Miyuki, and the smells from the kitchen rouse the sleeping girl. "Good morning," she says, covering her mouth with a yawn.

"Good morning," you say as you work over the stove. "I hope you're hungry."

"Mmm. I am."

"Good." You set the table and get her something to drink, and then you start distributing the food from the stove to plates. The two of you eat your breakfast, which Miyuki expresses gratitude for, and she sighs happily. "Was it good?" you ask.

"It was fantastic. Thanks again, Anon-kun."

"It's no problem."

Silence. "So what are you doing today?" Miyuki asks.

"Good question."

'Good morning. Who wants to come over or maybe go out today?' You hit send, then put your phone away. While you wait for resposnes, you clean up the dishes, then head into the living room. When you sit down on the couch, you check your phone. As you're reading through the responses, you start to wilt. No one really feels like doing anything today, apparently.

"Something wrong?" Miyuki asks when she walks into the living room.

You shake your head. "Looks like it's just you and me today." You stretch a bit. "Time to enjoy the married life, sweetheart."

Miyuki approaches the couch and sits down next to you, pressing herself against you. "Alright, honey," she says sweetly, looking up at you. "Shall we play house?" she asks, giggling.

Not to be caught off guard, you put your arm around her. "That's completely up to you."

"If that's the case," she says, "I think I'll stay here for awhile." You watch as she pulls her feet up on to the couch and really snuggles against you. Being so close to each other, you catch a light scent of lavender. "Is that okay?" She turns to look at you, and at that moment you realize just how close the two of you are to each other.

"That's... fine." You catch yourself drifting off into her eyes, and you mentally shake yourself. She puts her head against your chest, and the two of you sit there, basking in each other's presence.

You try to readjust yourself a bit. As you do that, Miyuki looks up at you, and for a brief moment, everything stops. Feeling some sort of push, you decide to throw caution to the wind, and you move your face closer to hers. She leans up and both of your lips meet, and when that happens, you feel a strange sensation rush through your body. You feel a strong sense of... love? You don't know what other word you could use to explain the sensation. It's all coming from Miyuki, you realize.

When you both break the kiss, she gasps. Surprise, or shock. You... feel sensations that you can only describe with types of emotion. She looks at you with confusion, and you look back at her. "A...Anon-kun?" she asks quietly.

"Yeah?"

"What... was that?" Genuine confusion, maybe colored slightly with fear. That's when you feel the actual fear set in, again this sensation radiating from Miyuki. After you feel that, you see her eyes widen. "Oh no," she breathes.

"What is it?" you ask, concerned.

"I... can't feel my gear," she whispers.

Wait, what? She can't FEEL her gear? She looks up at you, and you feel a surge of emotion from her: love, fear, desperation, trust, hope -- it's almost overwhelming. She sits up and kisses you directly, initiating the kiss, and you feel that strange rush throughout your body again, and then you feel almost empty. Miyuki's eyes become relaxed when she breaks the kiss.

You take a deep breath. "Show me."

She nods and stands up in front of you. "Let's see... Something simple first." She closes her eyes for a moment, and when you blink, you see two Miyukis standing side-by-side.

"Wait, you can clone yourself?" you ask incredulously.

One of them shakes her head, and then the other one's clothes change from the shirt she's wearing to a kimono. Then you see Roslyn appear, then Sayuri, then Chiyo, then Sora, then Tadashi, then the principal... Several people all just appear in the room in front of you, and it catches you off guard. At the blink of an eye, there's only Miyuki left standing in front of you. You blink again, and she's gone. "I can create illusions," she explains. You suddenly feel a strong desire to reach forward with your right hand, and you do so, palm out. You feel something very soft, and then the illusion breaks. You see Miyuki standing right in front of you, and your hand is firmly pressed against one of her breasts. She gets red in the face and you feel the urge to slap yourself, and before you know it, you do it. "Sorry. I also.. have the ability to sometimes make people do things."

"Ow... Like mind control?" you ask.

"To an extent, yes," she says.

"If you can do all of that," you say, "Why did you never use your powers to make your dad stop treating you the way he did?"

Miyuki's eyes narrow slightly, and her entire demeanor changes. You don't need her Mobile Gear to tell she's angry. As soon as she seems angry, however, it's replaced with extreme sadness. You realize too late that it's way too soon to be talking about this. You see a few tears fall from Miyuki's eyes, and you go to hug her, but she takes a step away from you before walking away.

"M-Miyuki, wait." You stand up to go after her. "I'm sorry, I wasn't being tactful at all. I just didn't know if you had considered something like that when... when you could've." The emotion behind your words die out when you get to those last three.

She keeps walking and heads up the stairs by herself, leaving you downstairs to contemplate your choice of words. You didn't mean to sound like an asshole. You were honestly just curious. You feel a strong desire to head upstairs after her, to try and explain yourself and maybe comfort her if you can, but at the same time, you aren't sure if you should chance it.

She nods. "You want to know why I never used my powers on him?" she asks. "I'll be honest with you. I've tried. I tried so many times, but I couldn't do it. No matter what he did, I just couldn't make it stop..." Her voice cracks slightly when she says that. "I don't know why. I could stop other people from hurting me and others, but not him..."

"It's not your fault, Miyuki..." You pull her closer to you in a hug, and you hold the crying girl in a warm embrace. The two of you stay like that for quite a long time, and eventually, she pulls away from you and you share a look.

"Anon-kun," Miyuki says, "I'm sorry for getting upset at you. I just... I didn't know how to feel after all that, and all of this..."

"What do you mean?" you ask.

"It's just... after all you've done for me, and how well you've treated me, even from the start... You've always been so kind and gentle, and... Anon-kun?"

"Yeah, Miyuki?"

"I... I think I'm in love with you."

Bam. Those are strong words, and you feel it, even without the gear. She looks at you expectantly for a moment, but then she just rests her head against you.

Holding her, you say, "I love you, too, Miyuki." She presses herself against you, and you smile. The two of you then sit there in each other's arms for a long period of time, and you pass the time with each other. Miyuki's mood definitely improved after you confessed.

Once noon runs around, the two of you work together to make a nice lunch, which you both enjoy together. After that, you can't help but just lounge around the house with Miyuki next to you. You idly recall what you said to her earlier in the morning about enjoying the married life. You realize, with a grin, that you should have said the newlywed life.

When it gets later into the evening, Miyuki asks you to go watch anime for a little while. Slightly put off, you comply, and as you're watching a currently airing show, you can hear sounds from the kitchen. She's making you dinner, you realize. You let her have her way, and when she calls for you two hours later, you both enjoy a nice dinner together.

After dinner, the two of you spend the evening telling each other stories about your childhood, about the good times. You can't help but smile when you see Miyuki fall asleep during one of your last stories. A glance at the clock tells you it's already 2:30AM, so you carefully lift the girl up and bring her into your room, where you set her down to sleep. You crawl into bed too, and you drift into a deep sleep of your own.
