Feeling your inner reserves of power, you don’t feel all that empty. In fact you feel rather full from feeding off Mina’s aether the other night.

“Na, I’d rather stay home a bit and continue my training a bit more. This is going to be my first major supernatural fight, so I’d like to prepare as much as possible.” you tell Mina.

“Oh, OK then! That just means it’s you and me Ada!” Mina replies to Ada.

“...Do I have to?” Ada asks.

“But I will do one other thing for luck...” you say as head over to Mina.

“Oh? What’s that?” Mina asks.

Without warning, you quickly wrap your arms around Mina and plant your soft lips on her own. You work hard on putting the knowledge Mina (forcibly) taught you, putting your own tongue inside of her mouth and moving it around. But not only that, you also begin to try and pull her aether out to help fill your own. The process of doing so is quite difficult however, akin to trying to eat pudding with a straw. As a result, the make-out session between you and Mina goes on for about a minute. Even halfway through, Mina herself wraps her own hands around you and begins to rub your back.

Ada simply rolls her eyes and sighs after waiting for nearly a minute. “Any day now...”

After getting your fill, you pull away from Mina, a thin strand of saliva coming off from your lips. “A little kiss for luck and just a bit to top off my own reserves...”

“Meanie.” Mina says smiling back at you.

“But enough about me. You go out and have a good time before the fight tomorrow, and be sure to tell me everything when you get back.” You reply to Mina, giving her a firm slap on her taunt ass.

“Oh? I’ll take that as a challenge then.” Mina chuckles.

“Please... I’m surrounded by horny teenagers all the time... Can we... please try to act like adults here...” Ada facepalms while rubbing her forehead.

“Oh don’t worry Ada! Nee-chan will show you around town!” Mina replies, patting Ada on the head while walking out.

“What does ‘Nee-chan’ mean?” Ada asks while going out with her.

“Nothing~.” Mina replies.

“DON’T YOU BE HIDING ANYTHING FROM ME!” you hear Ada yelling from outside.

You can only shake your head and sigh as you hear what is going on outside. You figure to just leave them be and to return to your own pursuits of training. You have a little bit of time before bed, and nearly all of tomorrow to prepare for what’s coming up.

(In case Ada's stat sheet changes anything, I'm allowing people to vote on what Brooklyn should do or train for in preparation for tomorrow. Note that skills ranked Good! or higher take a lot longer than a day to raise, so you wouldn't be able to raise those to Great! before the fight.)

This, but if we know the place where the fight will be, maybe we ought to prepare first, like, go to the old pirate base, move car that blocked the entrance so it can fall on demon easily with some magic help. Maybe if it has fuel inside, somehow bobby-trap it or seek other things that can go boom.

First, investigate the Rose more, I'm wondering if there's anything hinky about it.

Then I personally think that we should do Willpower, but I'm fine with Cloaking/Aura Concealment.

Maxing our stealth would be useful for tomorrow if we need to launch a surprise ambush. Particularly if we can hide the aura of any attacks we charge, as well as any sounds we make.

We might also try for the nuke if we have the spare time.

I think I mentioned it in the last thread, but the fight is going to take place on the same street as the Snow Pirate base you cleaned out earlier. It seemed like a good place, as even with power vaccums no one could move enough men there safely and quickly enough.

Curious, you head back over to look at the ice rose you had gotten back from Blizzarios from earlier. Despite being in fairly close proximity to an active fireplace, the rose still appears to be perfectly fresh. You very gently poke at it with a book, seeing that it’s still quite solid and strong.

You won’t dare touch it directly after hearing Ada’s story of how Blizzarios possibly found out about her. But you do turn on your aura sight to have another look.

As before, it appears... odd in Aura sight. Normally when you turn on aura sight, all of the colour from the world drains, only the anima’s of people becoming much more vibrant. This rose has absolutely no aura that you can detect, yet still retains all of its colour while you’re in aura sight.

This is certainly an odd phenomena, somewhat worrying at the same time if Blizzarios has a scrying spell on it. However you’re not sure how to proceed with this. You only read the basics of Occult theory, you hardly know how to set up a proper experiment at this point. They deliberately keep those books out of the hands of commoners. Only very specific people are allowed to see those books. All of them asskissers to the Langy family and their damn private library.

“...Soon...” You mutter. The very thought of all those books, just sitting there for only a small batch of people? It irks you.

You decide to go back to training, practicing your cloaking powers, but now before putting a handkerchief over the ice flower. You try to theorize how to actually apply your cloaking power before you activate it. Unlike your other powers, cloaking does take a decent chunk out of your aether beforehand.

You lay down on your bed, staring at the ceiling as you gaze up at it while thoughts run through your head.

(“Goddamn breasts, I swear I’m never going to get used to the jiggle I feel when I flop down on he b- wrong topic Brookie.”) you mentally scold yourself.

You begin to think on what Cloaking actually entails down to the metaphysical level. You know that you felt the aether around the world flowing through and around you in harmony with the rest of the natural world, but you need to think of how you can apply that to other applications of cloaking.

It takes a solid hour of thinking, but eventually you manage to understand it... you think. Basically Cloaking is all about control of your imprint upon reality, both on the physical and spiritual level. If you allow your aetheric signature to become one with the world around you, then you should be able to hide it. Not only that, but in theory even phase out of reality itself.

You nearly stop yourself from dozing off before snapping awake. It’s been a long and very stressful day for you, and tomorrow will only be worse. As you get ready for bed, you wonder what your training should be for tomorrow. As much as you want to continue training, you’re pretty sure you’d fall asleep meditating, you’re terrible at thinking when you’re tired, and you don’t want to go into the biggest battle of your life to date half dead.

First option is try hands on experience. That is continue to use your Cloaking power, trying out various things before you’re able to improve upon it. In theory this project shouldn’t take long at all, but it will heavily tax your aetheric reverses. You’d need quite a bit of food to regain yourself back to full aether power.

The other option is to subtly prepare your body for the new level of cloaking. This is far lighter on your aether reserves, as in theory you should only need to throw up your cloak once just to test it once you finish, but the problem with this is that it’d take a long time. Akin to going into a fighting ring with only book smarts of how to handle a weapon but having little to no practical experience. While you’re fairly sure it’d work, it’d take a long time. You probably won’t have much time before the fight even if you squeeze it.

We're not going to be reliant on Stealth in the fight and we need full reserves for more exploding tracking magic balls.

We are going to be busy as hell tomorrow doing stuff, I'm not sure if we'll have a chance to fill back up, and I'd rather have full reserves and no stealth than lowered reserves and stealth.

It would be actually better to concentrate on practising throwing things and fighting - we will act like support, but a bit of such training will boost our confidence. Also, treat ourselves to good meal, bath, drink vegetable juice etc.

You decide that it’s best not to waste precious aether trying to train yourself to do this. The main reason you wanted to learn the aura suppression in the first place was because you wanted to hide from the Demon Knight. If things go well tomorrow, he’ll be dead and the only person who’d have the means to see through your disguises will also be gone. The only people only remotely close of guessing your supernatural identity is probably Langy himself (which you doubt) and the local town Wizard (Who is a far cry from your abilities. Crazy bastard hardly leaves his house. You and many others doubt he can use magic at all).

After peeling off all your clothes, you climb in under the covers and hit the sack, hoping some sleep will melt all your stress away.

After waking up the next morning, you begin to practice your swings with an axe while the kettle begins to boil.

“Uh... Trainin in yer underwear?” Brodin yawns, having fallen asleep against the wall.

“...The hell. You’re sober?” you ask in amazement.

“Yea I was working all day yesterday. The other guy was a real pain as he could run pretty damn fast. By the time I was done I was too tired to drink.” Brodin replies.

“But you can’t outrun death.” you reply.

“Well... Actually you can, it’s just that cross-country jogging is my part of my job, so a few laps around town hardly bothers me.” Brodin replies.

“...OK you can run, but death catches up eventually.” you revise.

“Yea that’s more like it.” Brodin says. “So uh... You ever fight a supernatural opponent before?”

“Me? Ha. No. I’d imagine being a Reaper you fought quite a few of them.” you reply.

“Na... I... I really try to stick away from that. I let the Halja take care of that.” Brodin replies.

“...Halja?” you ask.

“A... type of Reaper. But basically I specialize in mortals. The toughest thing I fight on a regular basis are mainly pissed off ghosts who were murdered, greedy old men ghosts, or widows. Could be worse. As I heard tales of this drowned ghost girl from the Shikigami... Man that stuff is nightmare material even for me.” Brodin replies.

“So all you do is fight ghosts?” you ask.

“Well OK, there was like twice I got asked to help kill a Lich. I *really* hate Liches. You go fight this stupid ass, incredibly cranky dude, who is most likely a skeleton. Then after you kill him, you go on a stupid Easter Egg hunt against time to find his phylactery. If you fail, you do the entire thing *all over again*.... That was a long month...” Brodin seems to recall.

“So you do have experience in fighting powerful supernatural opponents?” you ask.

“Yea, two Liches. ...Though the second came back two more times before we found his phylactery. It was a *paperweight*. Can you believe that? We walked by it no less than 50 times before we finally caught on.” Brodin says.

“Can you give me tips on how handle myself in combat then? I don’t want to be holding all you guys back.” you ask.

“Where’s the Laminian and the Belkarian. They’re probably be better at this shit than I am. Not that I’m saying now but still.” Brodin asks.

“The Laminian is out setting up the fight. Mina lost a chunk of aether recently, so she’s out feeding.” you reply.

“Yea... High impact feeding considering the four guys I saw her with while walking home last night...” Brodin mutters.

“Nothing. Well first things first. You’re an Okarian. Unlike the rest of us, you probably cannot take a hit that well. Even if you make a suit of armour with your darkness magic, it probably will not help much. Your best bet in this case is to simply learn how to dodge.” Brodin says standing up from the floor.

“Sound advice. Any idea how I can train for that?” you ask.

Brodin picks up the scythe in one hand. “Oh that’s simple. If you can dodge my scythe swings, then you can dodge Demon Knight.”

“W-wait second! I don’t want to be hit by a Reaper scythe!” you say backing away with your hand in front of you.

“Na. You’ll be fine.” Brodin says raising his scythe up above his head and swinging it at a downward angle.

You barely manage to jump back in time to dodge Brodin’s downward swing, the sharp blade of the scythe just slicing into the fabric of your shirt and cutting it open.

“BRODIN! THAT COULD’VE KILLED ME!” you protest.

“Na. Your death isn’t for a long time yet. As so long as we don’t use any aether, then the destiny shouldn’t change.” Brodin says spinning the scythe back into position. Brodin puts the hood over his head, darkness covering his face “Now let’s continue the crash session, shall we?”

You can only feel a grip of terror overtake you as you see your quivering form shivering the reflection of Brodin’s scythe...

A FEW HOURS LATER....

“You know... You could’ve stopped screaming like a little girl...” Brodin says taking his hood off.

“THAT’S BECAUSE I AM ONE!” you scream back, having long since shapeshifted into a much younger version of yourself, just so that you were able to dodge a bit better.

“...What? I thought you were dead set about being a girl.” Brodin asks.

The only thing you can do in response is reach behind you and throw a pillow into Brodin’s face. “I NEARLY DIED OF A HEART ATTACK!”

“Na you were fine the entire time. If I hit you then at most my scythe would just make a massive gouge in your body.” Brodin says waving off.

You can only stare blankly back at him in response.

“...Oh right, that hurts quite a bit doesn’t it?” Brodin.

“YES! YES I’D IMAGINE IT WOULD!” you scream out in reply.

You take a few deep breaths in order to calm yourself down. You know that Brodin meant well, and even though it was terrifying beyond words, you definitely learned something though that horrid, horrid ordeal.

“Let’s... Just take a break now before the massive fight starts. We don’t want to tire ourselves for it. I’ll make some tea.” you say putting a new kettle on. All of the water in the old one long since boiled away.

“...Oh yea, I’d love some. Can I have the Orange stuff?” Brodin asks.

“If you want, but it’s only the cheap stuff.” you reply.

“Hey.” Both you and Brodin wave to both Mina and Ada entering the house.

As soon as Mina is in the door and opens her eyes however, she begins to stare down at you.

“...What? I’m like this because Brodin tried to kill me.” you reply.

“Ohmaigawd! You’re so ADORABLE!” Mina says running over to you, picking you up and spinning you around before putting you in another death hug.

Normally this is when you’d gasp and beg for her to let go, but it seems as if her morning workouts have paid off. She seems a hell of a lot stronger than before.

“...You know... You may want to let go of him before all of his bones are crushed.” Brodin says watching the scene.

A short while later, everyone in your house is drinking tea. Ada is sitting in your study chair, Brodin is leaning against the bookshelf sipping his tea, while you’re sitting in ‘big sis’s’ lap drinking tea. Once again Mina refused to let change your shape.

“I now know your pain.” you say to Ada after a sip.

“Yes. Yes you do now.” Ada replies sipping her tea in turn.

“Well this is all fine and dandy talking about one’s suffering in life, but I get enough of that at work. How goes the plan of luring the Demon Knight?” Brodin asks.

“Excellent. I left the letter in his room this morning and he read it. I had to put a time on the back, in that Mina will have to meet him at 8:00 PM directly in front of the abandoned Pirate base.” Ada replies.

“...But I said the time was 7:00 PM...” Mina replies.

“In chicken scratches no one can read. If I didn’t forge a time on the paper then he’d have gone there straight aware and the ambushed would’ve been ruined.” Ada replies.

“And my sick note?” you ask Ada.

“They accepted it without any hesitation. They just said that he’ll need to get another tutor for the day is all.” Ada replies.

“...Is his name Brock?” you ask.

“I believe the replacement tutor is called that, why?” Ada asks.

You can only make a bit of a sour face. “R-remind me to make it up to Brothen then...”

“Well it’s only 2:15 PM right now. We still have oodles of time to do any last minute preparations.” Mina states.

“If you need materials from the black material, I know the proper people to ask. Many of them grew up from the children’s gang I made when I first came here ten years ago. I’m pretty sure if you wished I could get you any manner of illegal things. Such as explosives, poisons, or other nasty things.” Ada offers. “However I’d need the monetary resources to do so. My Marina persona has been... compromised, along with any funds that she might have had access to.”

Hm... You doubt you can use this time to train any more, but being able to get some supplies could sound useful. Maybe go to the area early and make some traps? Or something else completely?

You summon up a soligram butler and make him go over to your coin pouch. You dig out the platinum coin from inside and take a look at it with your aura sight.

Unlike the Ice flower, it appears to react with the world rather normally. No aura, dull colour, everything appears to be all and well.

“Something wrong Brooklyn?” Ada asks.

“No, nothing.” you say taking the coin into your own hand.

“Exactly.” You reply. “Ada, do you think you can do that?”

“Only if you ask your big sis really nicely...” Mina says.

You sigh as you look at Mina. “Gee sis! You’re so big and strong! Do you think that you could punch the Demon Knight into the trap Ada and I will make?”

Mina hugs you even tighter. “Oh of course I can! Anything for you!”

Ada only smiles at this site, drinking the tea.

“Can you do that?” you ask her.

“...Yes I think I can do that pretty easily.” Ada replies. “Most of the coin will be used up thought.”

“We’ll have more than enough once you take over the city.” you tell Ada. “Collapsing a building wouldn’t be enough? Well let’s see how he’ll like it when we turn it into a personal hell...”

Well at least my paranoid thought had some merit to it least. Anyway, I agree that we need to prepare. Seeing as this dude is an ice master, we need to prepare for the cold, more so than usual in this land. I also suggest something akin to earmuffs to possibly cancel out his manipulation magic. Brooklyn barely resisted his command to kneel, so the less of his voice we hear, the better... hopefully.

Ada's character sheet:
She has Demonic Resilience twice.
With shapeshifting, she can grow no more than 5 feet in height. I assume that should be "grow TO no more than 5 feet in height", because if she can grow 5 feet taller with each shapechange then she can get massive.
She can shapechange into any teenage girl no older than 15. Brooklyn and Mina's shapechanging is restricted to humanoids but can she do anything as long as it can live 13 years and has a female gender (like turning into a really old cat)?

You arrive at the site of the fight about two hours earlier than anyone else. The day is actually quite a miserable one. The winds are rather high speed, feeling the winter chill through your clothing. There is no snow, but the high winds are kicking up loose snow in the area, reducing visibility normally for others.

You actually need to step a few minutes warming up in the pirate camp before you’re able to do anything. Mina is outside doing some last minute Kung-fu practice, while Brodin is just having a small drink of the booze he found around the camp. You do make sure that he doesn’t drink so much to become totally wasted.

“Feeling better now girls?” Brodin asks you and Ada.

“Much. I swear I don’t understand how people can live in these sorts of conditions.” Ada says standing up from the fireplace.

“The snow pirates live off anything they can find. Even though these ruins are nearly 300 or so, you still find machines that keep food fresh occasionally.” you reply. “Aside from that, you got the bombs?”

“Perfect, that means we don’t need a detonator for the Nitro at least.” you reply.

“Yea but the Thermite is a different story.” Brodin replies.

“We have a fair bit of fuse, so it shouldn’t be an issue. We just need to hope the building keeps him pinned long enough.” you reply.

“It’s an entire building, so it damn well should.” Brodin replies.

“Good. Ada, come up set these up for me will you?” you ask.

“Ugh... That means going out in that dreadful weather against doesn’t it?” Ada sighs as she follows you outside.

You and Ada set up the explosives into a nearby shop. You VERY carefully put the nitro nearby supports of the building while you put most of the thermite into a freezer like structure, trying to compensate for when Mina punts him into the building. While you’re fairly sure that you won’t be able to level the entire skyscraper, you are certain that the first few floors should collapse on top of him.

“...So I need to hit him in here?” Mina asks.

“Yea. Think you can do that?” you ask.

“...The trick is trying to knock him in there JUST the right distance...” Mina says. “But I’ll try my best!”

“Good. If we can pull this off, then the fight will be much easier.” you say patting Mina on the back. “What time is it Ada?”

Ada checks her watch. “Half hour until the fight begins. We should get into our places right now.”

“Good luck Mina.” you say giving her a hug before you leave. “If you need any help, then don’t hesitate to call us out.”

“Oh don’t worry! I’ll be fine!” Mina says giving you a gentle hug back. “You just be careful yourself!”

You all then head off to your positions. Ada users her wings to fly up to a heightened elevation, easily overlooking the entire streets before vanishing from sight completely. You can Brodin go into buildings the opposite sides of the street from each other, hiding behind the counters of the buildings inside. Mina remains standing outside in her battle dress. A solemn expression on her face while her demonic traits seem to proudly stand out. Undeterred by horribly bitter cold due to her superior constitution.

About 15 minutes later, you can see a person walking down the street. After catching a glimpse, you quickly run around and hide around the corner once again. Figuring that you were safe since you have the ability to see through the loose snow being whisked around outside plain as day.

You wait until the footsteps are just a little past the counter before peering outside to have a look to see what is going on outside.

“Well... It appears my hunch that your letter was a challenge one after all.” Blizzarios says. He’s wearing his bright blue fullplate armour, adored with his family symbols. His cape and hair billowing in the wind.

“But of course! How can one such as I pass up a challenge such as facing a Demon Knight in combat?” Mina replies.

“Hm... Belkarian?” Blizzarios asks.

“Yes! I, Mina Kazanari, the Crimson Goddess of Love, challenge you to a duel!” Mina says getting into a stance.

“SO BE IT! I, DEMON KNIGHT BLIZZARIOS GLACIES, ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE!” Blizzarios roars in response.

Blizzarios wastes absolutely no time at all. Summoning a short sword made of ice in one hand while a wicked spiked shield of ice forms in the other. This guy is *quite* fast. Within a second, he’s already in range of Mina and about to swing his weapon down at her.

(Action? Yes, Mina is in a location in where she can try to blow the knight into the building, but only if she hits him. You can go ahead and stunt Mina’s attack and roll for it, but remember that defense is static and isn’t rolled)

Oh and it did help me on my confusion, turns out on our date with the twins we were in our Sarah persona, not our Miranda one which the girls and her father know us by.

Rather than defending, Mina quickly rushes forward to meet Blizzarios’s attack, a cloud of snow being kicked up behind her. Her right fist beginning to show a soft white glow.

Blizzarios abandons his attack, quickly raising his shield up to try and intercept Mina’s incoming charge.

However Mina doesn’t use her fist. Rather she quickly makes a slide down the street, making a massive plume of snow kick up in the process. When she reaches the knight, she quickly snaps her other leg around to trip up the knight. As the knight begins to fall down, Mina quickly uses the momentum from her spin to quickly get into a kneeling position slams her charged fist into Blizzarios.

A massive crack fills the air as plume of snow around Mina and Blizzarios is violently displaced. Blizzarios flies through the air towards the shop, but still seems to have enough time to fire off a few projectiles of ice at Mina.

Mina uses her hands to block most of them, but one of the ice shots hits her directly in the shoulder blade.

Blizzarios crashes through the building, splinters of old wood, dust, and snow fill the air. Just before being joined by a several loud booms a second later as the nitro goes off. Sounds of rubble collapsing on Blizzarios’s head can be heard as he is buried beneath the rubble. ...Or you hope so, you can’t see in inside due to all the falling debris.

The fuse for the thermite quickly snaps out of your hand and away into the street. You silently curse to yourself, but figure this is better than the fuse just snapping.

You rush out to the street quickly, grabbing the fuse just as it stops in the street.

Okay!

You quickly pour your aether into making a large batch of Soligram soligram soldiers, whom you quickly toss them some matches before running back to the safety of cover. A few others tend on Mina, but she waves them off as she rips out the ice piece herself.

You can heard some loud rumbling from beneath the rubble of the building. You hold your breath as you can see the soligram’s lighting the fuse, the spark travelling along the snow and underneath the melted rubble. A few seconds later you can see a soft red glow coming from under certain parts of the rubble.

“Yes!” you cheer to yourself as you see a part of the plan working.

However your cheer it shortly lived. Massive shards of ice explode out from the rubble, before they quickly shatter and are replaced with the flying form of Blizzarios’s smoking body.

“I should’ve know that this was the Laminian’s doing! I was a fool to expect a straight up fight!” Blizzarios roars as points his palm at Mina and the soligrams. Blasts of hellishly cold air rip through the streets. A few soligrams are frozen rock solid in the storm, before finally just succumbing to wounds and disappearing from sight. Mina herself growls as she quickly tries to flee the street by running into a nearby alleyway, you swear that you could actually see some ice growing on her flesh.

After a few seconds, Blizzarios stops the blizzard storm and then suddenly takes a swing behind him, even though nothing is there. He’s most likely trying to be sure that Ada won’t try to stab him in the back.

As you look down the street, you can see that about a dozen Soligrams are still left over, taking cover from the blizzard storm that Blizzarios used.

At this stage no, you cannot cast spells through soligrams.

Suddenly getting an idea, you quickly shapeshift yourself into the young child form you were wearing earlier in the day. If this demon suspects that you’re the Laminian, it will give you the advantage.

In order to provide Mina some cover, you lean out from behind your desk and fire and Annihilator beam at the Knight to distract him.

Blizzarios raises his shield in time for the shot, the small patch of darkness and light exploding against his shield. Rather than waiting for the smoke to clear, he lands on the ground.

“There you are! Thought you could hide from me!?” Blizzarios roars as he begins to charge towards you.

However your soligrams cut him off. Blizzarios grunts as a helmet of ice begins to form around his head, doing his best to fight off the Soligram’s surrounding him. While he does this, you slowly begin to sneak back into the room of the building.

“STAY WHERE YOU ARE!” Blizzarios orders.

As soon as those words escape from Blizzarios’s mouth, your legs lock up. You can’t move from your current spot at all. Fear begins to overtake you as you desperately try to escape your mental shackles.

“Laminian! I was only trying to tal-”

BANG

A thunderous sound seems to echo throughout the streets as the ice helmet on Blizzarios’s head seems to shatter completely and fling his body a good few meters to the side. Turning around, you can see that no one else is in the street. In fact... You’re pretty sure that sounded like a firearm of some sort...

Out of all the Soligrams, only about four are now left over. Ada and Brodin still await in their hiding spots, while you expect Mina to be looping around.

You are somewhat intrigued by the Pride Demon’s request for an audience, but considering you’re in the middle of combat that’s hardly feasible at the moment.

“Actually, I’m *not* the Laminian.” you yell out in the streets to insult him.

As if on cue, Ada hurls the C-toxin needles from her cloaked position. She materializes back as the needles fly out and impact Blizzarios directly in the back.

Blizzarios roars in pain as the needles hit him directly into the back. Out of blind rage, Blizzarios hurls small shards of ice at you. They rip through the wood of the building as if it were paper.

Thankfully, you regain control of your legs just before the icy shards come burrowing through the building. You grit your teeth in pain as you can feel two small ice shards just nick your flesh. The cold feels more akin to a burning sensation. You look down at your arm, seeing your quivering and bleeding arm. Thankfully, the shots were only just grazes.

BANG

Another loud bang can be heard echoing throughout the street, the next shot hitting Blizzarios directly in the chest, sparks flying off from the impact point.

As if on cue, Mina comes soaring down from the sky, attempting to land a devastating drop kick on his head.

Blizzarios sees the blow incoming, raising his shield up to meet Mina’s blow. Air and snow is violently displaced once again. A small crater being made on the ground below from the sheer force of Mina’s kick, but Blizzarios seems unarmed.

Mina tries to move her foot away, but seems she’s unable to do so as it was frozen on the shield. Blizzarios flicks his shield away towards the pirate base, sending Mina crashing into the bus hulk within the base, the bus flipping over from the impact.

Blizzarios then points his open palm towards a building on the far end of the street, making another strong blizzard soar out from his hand. Buildings on the path of the blizzard rapidly collect ice as the blizzard soars through the building, before hitting the building on the side of the street. Blizzarios keeps going until literally three floors on the building are coated in a solid sheet of ice.

The holograms can't leave our line of sight so we can't really explore with them. We probably can't see through them, or they wouldn't have that restriction.

While the battle rages on outside, you use your light magic to make a bright neon sign displaying, “BRODIN! CHECK THE BUILDING!”

It takes a few seconds to him to notice, but you can see him nodding. He heads out to escape by the back door.

You turn your attention to the fight back outside. Brodin will most likely take some time to carefully scan the building.

Mina leaps out of the bus wreckage, speeding towards the demon knight once again with her fist glowing. However her blow is only misdirected by the Demon Knight’s blade, her fist now smashing into the ground. While Mina is stuck, Blizzarios cuts down another soligram.

While Mina is good, you doubt that she will be able to solo the demon knight on her own.

If we wanted to go for something a bit more dramatic, have Mina get 'thrown' up into a building, then, as she counter-attacks down from the roof, we could use the darkness tentacles to grapple the Knight, keeping him in place and unable to defend himself fully, AND increase gravity on Mina so she has more force behind her attack.

Blizzarios counters from Mina’s attack, kicking his boot directly into her stomach. Mina takes the hit, but manages to position herself so that she uses most of the momentum from the attack to soar up into the air.

Blizzarios is about to summon a blizzard, two knives come down nearby from a streetlight, pinning Blizzarios’s cape to the ground. His hand doesn’t raise up all the way, causing him to hesitate for a second.

You however don’t hesitate. You reach your hand out, pouring all the aether you can into increasing the gravity as much as possible in the area around Blizzarios. “MINA! NOW!” you scream out.

Mina follows your instructions, springing off a nearby building and soaring down towards Blizzarios with her feet glowing in a white aura, visible to the naked eye.

Blizzarios however forces himself to open his hand towards Mina, hitting her with the beginning of a point blank blizzard attack.

You’re unable to see just how hard Mina was hit by the blizzard attack, but judging from the massive shockwave that literally explodes out from the impact of the attack, you know that Blizzarios was definitely hit.

The blast of air hits you like a punch to the face. You reflexively call up a solid dark wall to shield you from the shrapnel of the explosion. Pieces of rock, wood, and ice all fly into the room, becoming jammed into the areas around the shop. You yourself are flung back a bit further due to your reduced weight.

You quickly get yourself back up from the destroyed metal shopping shelves, feeling a bit of a crick in your back due to the impact. As you look up ahead, you can see both Mina and Blizzarios. Both of them standing in a massive crater in the ground that goes up to almost their kneecaps. Both Mina and Blizzarios appear to be gasping for breath. Both of them appearing to be in rather terrible condition, and you’re not sure who is in better condition at this point.

(WARNING. Mina’s health is low!)

You notice that Mina herself cannot be continuing this for much longer. You quickly summon another squad of Soligrams to dogpile Blizzarios while you quickly summon darkness tentacles to try and hold him down.

“MINA! GET BACK!” you tell her as you struggle to hold the knight. This bastard is *strong*. It’s taking nearly all of the power you’ve got just to hold him back.

Mina quickly responds, jumping up and taking flight into the air, disappearing into the night sky.

Bursts of ice suddenly begin to spring up from the ground, violently displacing earth, your soligrams, and your darkness tentacles, thick blocks of ice impaling all of them at once.

Blizzarios then roars, firing away into the shop and heading directly towards you. You quickly attempt to shadow jump away, diving behind a nearby downed shelf and reappearing behind another shelf that was nearby the exit of the building.

Unfortunately you are too slow. A beam of ice fires off from Blizzarios’s hand, aiming not for you but rather the ground below you. During your scuffle to get out, you slip and fall face first into the icy floor.

You try to get back up, but you can only grit your teeth as you feel the armoured gauntlet of Blizzarios clasp around your ankle roughly.

“I normally dislike harming children... But you are no mere child...” you can hear Blizzarios say. His eyes turn into a deep blue colour while his free drops his icy short sword, and begins to howl with ice and wind as he begins to charge it.

Out of the corner of your eye, you can notice Brodin rapidly approaching your location. At this point, Brodin can probably finish off Blizzarios completely, but that may spoil the treat for the Queen’s. Maybe an attack from Ada (she has to be here somewhere) or even one from you could also do something? But if it doesn’t work, then you’re going to be feeling rather chilly...

assuming that our control of light is not limited to hand gestures, a close range flash of light should disorientate him, even for a moment, and in that opening, hopefully Ada can fill him with C-toxin, with luck, it should be enough to incapacitate him. if not, then i am sure that there are other methods to be had. including, but not limited to; laser to the face, darkness mouth tentacles, stabbing, cutting off limbs, ect.

“I’m no child, and you’re sure as hell no gentleman!” you reply as you quickly make a light orb in your hand and discharge it. In order to get the proper brightness, you had to sacrifice some power behind it.

Blizzarios roars as he quickly covers his eyes by reflex. You don’t waste time in quickly using your darkness hopping ability to hop outside across the street, next to a mailbox.

Brodin charges the man head on with his scythe to the side, but is unable to dodge the blind blizzard that Blizzarios throws at him. You can see the unusual phenomena of the winds drastically slowing down as they approach Brodin, with some kind of opaque light green barrier coming around Brodin to protect him.

As if on cue, Ada dematerializes behind Blizzarios, hopping onto his back and stabbing two knives directly into his back.

As soon as this happens, Blizzarios falls to his knees and then to the floor, his rather large body now laying against the snow.

“Then take honour in that you’ve met your end in the hands of a ‘child’.” Ada retorts as she stands above Blizzarios’s body.

“...Is he?” you yell out and ask Ada.

“No.” Brodin replies. “Unconscious, but not dead.”

“He’s pretty close to it considering the punishment he took.” Ada says giving the body a small tap with her boot.

For the love of the Queens don't use that energy ball/bolt we have. It's explosive, we'll get damaged and we're no where near as tough as Mina. Building up harems is good, though. Dangers, yes, but also big forms of additional benefits. As he was then, he was incredibly powerful and he's likely to be able to give better returns than not alive.
