>Be Rogue Trader turned Radical Ordo Xenos
>Start out with ties to the Admech, lose those ties when ship is repaired by Eldar during a case involving a Slaaneshi Daemon
>Gain favor with a recently colonized world of Exodite Eldar and their Farseer
>Gain Favor with the Reasonable Marines
>I no longer have Admech back up so I either need to attach myself to the Astartes or find a new source of recruits who are tech savvy
>The Answer is clear, I need Hereteks, specifically secular hereteks or hereteks who believe the Omnissiah and Emperor are two different entities
>It doesn't really take me that much effort to convince my surviving Techpriests to renounce the Admech and pledge their loyalty to me, they've seen some shit and most of them are half mad as it is.
>The few surviving Skitarii don't take too well to this, the ones that aren't combat servitors anyway, they get turned into combat servitors to better serve the cause

>My Lunar class cruiser is kind of lacking for what I have in mind and my campaign against the dread daemon Effingo caused a lot of damage to our armory (previously of the best weapons the Imperium had to offer, now assorted bits of salvaged Eldar, Dark Eldar, and Astartes hand-me-downs along with whatever lucky bits of archeotech are left over from my once great arsenal) so I obviously need a better arsenal, upgrades for The Furious Endeavour, and more hereteks.
>First I hit the warp and make sail for the Exodite World that Rallindrae's new civilization came from.
>It's dead, I made certain to scan it from top to bottom for life
>No plants, no animals, no microbes
>Just structures made from wraithbone, rotting flesh, and purple hair
>I send down some servitors and mine the planet for ore and promethium and then I get the hell out of there

>With my new cargo I make for Tau space
>The first thing I do is find a Tau world that has human Gue'vesa and then I begin recruiting as many volunteers as I can find under the guise of a Rogue Trader looking for ship hands
>Mostly I get grifters and civilians who want to see the galaxy, but thanks to some careful manuevering I manage to get humans who have technical training
>I buy some Tau goods and scout around the planet, what I really want are some Earth Caste Tau who can teach my Hereteks Tau science

>The Fruious Endeavour enters realspace on the edge of the system and she's forced to fend off attacks from Orkish fighters for a week before the Tau Fleet arrives
>With their aid we're able to press into the system proper
>Sadly the Tau didn't tell me the whole truth, they don't know where Lotsa Teef is, just that it's in this system.
>There's an asteroid belt and two gas giants so we're forced to raid dozens of Orkish space stations that are all over the place for supplies and to keep the Foghta Bombas off our backs

>Loot from the Orkish Campaigns the Rokksteddy pays for most of it, Xeno curiosities and Archetech baubles manages to placate any other demands the Navigator Dynasty has
>With the backing of the Navigator Dynasty I'm able to find a nearby Feral world and I begin indoctrinating the people there into the Imperial cult

>As a passing "Gift" I've informed the Administratum of the Planet's existence and their primitive understanding of the Imperial Cult
>They'll probably be a hiveplanet within 50 years of Imperium contact and there'll probably be purges of any tech know how if the Admech get there first

>Daemonically possessed wraithbone and Eldar armor possessed by Demons Ala Aku from Birth of Evil Part 2

I don't recall stuff like this ever being mentioned in GW fluff but now that I think about its obvious. Are their any mentions of daemons possessing Wraithbone in the Eldar, Dark Eldar or CSM codex?
>>
>>22458644

Who cares? It's Dead Space in 40k. Possession-wise, I presume it's much like possessing & corrupting flesh, as Wraithbone is like the Eldar's robot flesh stuff.
>>
>>22458754
yeah point, if I ever do a CSM army I'll probably substitute as many models as possible for customized corrupted Eldar.

Y'know Wraithbone is supposed to be malleable and psychoreactive, and its also supposed to have limited self repair capabilities. It might make for an excellent host body for a Daemon provided they can get ahold of enough of it.

The Warp Spiders prevent that shit.

Seriously that's what Warp Spiders are besides an aspect, tiny bugs that live in Wraithbone and eat any traces of Chaos.

>Make jokes and escape into inner fantasies to escap from the horror
This is how I chirugeon

I learned something today.

Okay cool, so clearly the Daemon in OPs story kills warp spiders, but its also a rare trait otherwise this shit would happen all the time.

Nice to know.
>>
>>22459096
Yeah I mean

I imagine you could theoretically corrupt Wraithbone by killing off the Warp Spiders and doing Chaos-y stuff at it.

But it wouldn't just spontaneously be possessed usually
>>
>>22459124
Well its explicitly stated that the Daemon in question replaces people with duplicates who have purple hair, it also stuffs them into fleshy pods (well we assume that's what it does) and consumes their bodies and souls adding it to their collections

So Warp Spiders prevent spontaneous corruption

But a Daemon that makes physical contact with Wraithbone can corrupt it and do Chaos stuff with it.
>>
>>22459206

That's very unlikely.

Otherwise daemons could possess webway gates and wraithlords with a touch, and destroy Eldar ships and craftworlds too.
>>
>>22459236
Mmm point, I guess the Daemon in question probably just have to have some abilities specifically oriented towards corrupting Wrathbone and killing warp spiders.

Probably special rituals for that sort of thing too.
>>
>>22459236
Most of the those things are protected by the Infinity Circuit, which is in turn shielded by Warp Spiders.
If the IC gets cut off, corrupted or dies, it's plausible that the resulting inert wraithbone could be corrupted in turn.
