The very force of Valvatosa’s words even make inanimate objects around you ‘kneel’ before him, as indicated by the flattened air conditioning units.

His mental influence is strong, your knees are shaking just to keep yourself from throwing yourself to the ground. He nearly made you bow towards him right then and there. But thankfully your mind will is strong enough to keep yourself from submitting.

“I’m not insulting your Lord’s sacrifice. I’m insulting you, you failure.”

Valvatosa roars as he charges you headlong, closing the gap in between you two in the merest fraction of a second. A loud crack can be heard as a sonic boom of force explodes in front of his spear, it now burning with a pure blue flame.

(Defending is a static value on your part, though if you want to describe how you dodge/parry it as part of your action, be my guest)

The shockwave that follows hollow the ground and punches a clean hole into the concrete wall behind you, but also clean through the building that was behind it. You estimate that it would take three to four hits before you can kiss your armour goodbye. Five is lady luck is on your side.

You throw three C-toxin needles while leaping away from him and into the air. Valvatosa counts by swinging his spear in a wide arc, blasting two of the C-toxin needles away in the backblast, but the last one hitting him directly in his outer thigh.

Valvatosa grits his teeth as the pain seems to flood into his body, but he just pulls the needle out of his thigh before muttering a small spell to himself. Your glasses analyze that it’s a Blood magic spell, boosting Valvatosa’s already impressive physical abilities up to even greater heights. Valvatosa responds by leaping in air after you, the flattened air conditioner units being sucked up into his mighty leap as he heads towards you preparing another mighty thrust.

You decide to introduce Valvatosa to your own little enhancement trick. You make a stance of where you just merely turn your back to Valvatosa. Valvatosa comes at you, thrusting his spear once again at you, only this time you seem to vanish from Valvatosa’s point of you.

Putting a ton of Aether into your reaction time and bodily speed, you pull out a handful of knives and begin to throw them at Valvatosa. “Can you dodge all these knives Valvatosa!?” you exclaim as you seem to make a spear of knives around him before time resumes once again, along with a few C-Toxin needles for good measure.

Valvatosa’s response in almost instant. The speed of which Valvatosa swings his spear around is almost unreal, deflecting nearly all of the knives around him in and sending them scattering to the ground below, but nearly all of the knives to his back make their mark, turning his back in what appears to be a pincushion. Two needles also managed to make their mark as well. Even with his enhanced endurance Valvatosa felt that one.

Responding to this, Valvatosa quickly flexes his wings, sending the knives in them into the concrete of nearby buildings. Valvatosa responds by flying higher. You give chase after him, reading another handful of knives, ready to dodge any of his spear attacks.

Instead, what you can see Valvatosa do is use his spear’s wind element to lash out at a nearby fighter jet, changing it’s course and hurling it directly towards you as if it were a missile.

You don’t have enough time to dodge, instead just making a defensive formation as the jet and it’s screaming pilot explode against your guard. The jet impact hardly phases you, but the series of solid blows that come after do.

Valvatosa uses the sound and smoke of the jet explosion to cover his own attack, rapidly making thrusting attacks in the air, the green Wind Crystal on his spear transferring the force of the melee attacks through thin air and directly onto you.

The sheer force and number of the attacks continue to push you down towards ground level, crashing into the ground below where currently Ayarian’s are fighting against Pride Demon Calvary, the force of the blows nearly collapsing the entire first two floors of the building. You hold onto your head as you pull yourself out of the concrete, just in time to see the sonic boom Valvatosa makes as he accelerates towards you once again.

Okay then. We're up against about as tough a guy as we possibly can be against, we may as well go nova. Keep on using The World for extra speed, if we let up on that he'll rip us apart. Randomly mix in C-Toxin syringes so he can't predict and block them, force him to have to focus on blocking every attack we make if he doesn't want more of them in him.

This isn't a fight we're going to win, but we might be able to cause damage and delay for Purple to DYNAMIC ENTRY from off screen.

You quickly digitize the the Storm Blade in your hands, getting out of the concrete and attempting to shift to the side, but Valvatosa sees this coming at the last second and slams the end of his spear into yours, forcing the both of you inside of the office building.

Valvatosa you with his spear again, thrusting at you. You quickly shift to the side and attempt to deliver your own thrust at him. Despite his size, he seems to gracefully dodge it just as well, flowing like water despite the fullplate armour.

It goes on slowly at first, the two of you engaged in an elegant dance of death, but it rapidly begins to pick up speed, in where the two of you are constantly engaged blows which the human eye would mistake for just illusions. Valvatosa tries to go for a sweep, in where you reflexively reply by making a small hop. It is in this very instant Valvatosa does a shoulder charge at you, blowing you both into the ceiling.

The upper levels are pitch black, only the explosions and your parries against each others blades lighting the way. The glass windows on each level breaks as both you and Valvatosa continue to fight as you both begin to rapidly climb the building to reach the top. You’ve realized his plan. He’s going to bury you under this building.

It takes a charging time which we can't afford given that he'll be on us like white on rice in a snow storm. It also has an AOE which he won't get himself stuck in and it means we need to get distance from where we're shooting to use effectively and he's not going to give us enough space to use it on him without getting hit by it ourself.

We might be able to make it work on him if we shoot it somewhere, head in that direction, lure him with us and use The World for an extra burst of speed to get out of the radius while leaving him in it. And this is a plan with an awful lot of variables and ways to go wrong.

You soon reach a clear shaft area. Valvatosa quickly flaps his own wings to get above you before he rains down another flurry of wind strikes at you.

You’re ready for them this time around. You use your spear to deflect most of the attacks, the ones that do hit you doing superficial damage. You are however forced back down floor by floor. Deflecting Valvatosa’s wind blasts in addition to attempting to vaporize the falling debris.

You crash land back down on the ground floor of the building, spinning your blade for a few seconds to vaporize the remaining debris raining down on you. Looking up, you can see Valvatosa soaring above the skyscraper, spear in hand. He holds it as if he’s about to throw it, the winds howling around the spear also picking up the fire and wrapping the glance into a flame tornado.

You then realize that his attack wasn’t for damage, but rather a tactic to buy time for him to charge his nova attack.

Chuck our Storm Blades at him to harry him (they boomerang back to us, right?) while running the hell out of the blast radius. If we estimate time to spare, chuck more knives at him.

You barely have time to act as you digitize your Storm Blade away to generate the SBC-X. You disengage the safeties in order to make the cannon charge up.

You brace yourself against the ground as you point the barrel of the cannon towards Valvatosa, incoming debris being pulled towards the barrel and spaghettifying into the growing black hole.

Meanwhile from up above, red and green magical circles begin to generate around him, displaying words of power in high astral. The string of green magic circles continue from him and down towards you on the ground.

“NOW TAKE THIS!” Valvatosa screams out as he hurls his spear down at you. As soon as it hits the first circle, it begins to massively accelerate. Going even faster as it hits the second spear, soon becoming a Hellish meteor making it’s way down towards you.

You pull the trigger on the black hole cannon a second later, the black hole flying up to meet the meteor spear. However you don’t stick around for the resulting collision, somewhat cursing to yourself that this couldn’t be tested in laboratory conditions. You pump vast amounts of aether into your limbs once again, rushing out of the building and grabbing the two living Ayarian commandos on your way to escape the blast zone.

The initial explosion from Valvatosa’s spear blasting out in a firey orb of pure destruction, the shockwave it enhanced by wind magic. The entire mid section of the skyscraper is vaporized with the force of the shockwave compressing the other buildings around. It is then your black hole kicks in, sucking up the remaining bits of energy from the explosion and skyscraper before it explodes itself, rocking the area in two massive explosions.

Luckily, the first shockwave blast blows down the street a safe distance away from both explosions. You crash through several cars become coming to a stop in the middle of an electronics store. You get up and look at the Ayarian’s, whom you notice while unconscious are still alive. Most of your civilian clothes are shredded and this point, burned and slashed to pieces.

You rush outside, looking up at the sky to find Valvatosa. You can see him floating above the sky, the shockwave of the blast seeming to push him back as well. While his body is smoking, you can see that his aura indicates him as still being quite angry.

You quickly move out of his view once again. He didn’t see you move out of the blast zone. You won’t have long before he attempts to find you once again, however you do have some time and the advantage of him not knowing where you’ll come from or what you’ll do.

If you want, you can use the stuff from the electronics store to try and Macguyver up an improvised death ray. All you'd need to do is make a roll to make something. Engineering for a ray gun throwing weapon or Chemistry for a bomb.

In terms of communication, you can use the ear piece to try and get into contact with the other Queen's. You can still see Janine on your HUD radar, and she's got her hands full still fighting the other Demon Lord's and their own reinforcements.

A bomb would be too one-off in my opinion. Though there is the fact that our Chemistry is higher than our Engineering. Unless we make a rig that produces explosives for us to lob?

In the end, a passive device, like the aforementioned cloaking device, or something to enhance our own physical abilities, would probably be best.

As for what to make. We're better at bombs due to being damn good at chemistry, but it's a lot easier to use a death ray against someone.

I still say make a bomb of some sort, Miyan it up a couple dozen notches. Big explosive, keyed to fucking up Pride Demons, and only Pride Demons if possible, and piercing his Armor/Defenses. Lingering Area Damage would be nice as well, make an explosive that turns the battlefield around us into something that seeps past his armor and causes severe damage to him. Making it resistant to being blown away by the wind is needed for this.

If you want to make something to enhance your abilities, you could make something like a booster shot using biology to boost yourself.

And yes you could make a bomb producing machine. It could give you a good few chunks of C4 to work with.

The question is, of course, how long each of these inventions would take. I think a good idea would be to rush a cloaking device, digitize the necessary components, and assemble the others while on the run.

You don’t waste any time going to work, quickly picking up the required components from the shelves, ripping the guts out of them as your hands deftly go to work on constructing a makeshift cloaking device.

“Attention all other Demon Queen’s! This is Demon Queen Miyu! I’m currently engaged with Demon King Valvatosa! I am facing extremely heavy resistance! Request immediate backup!” you say as you begin to wire a circuit board.

“Sorry Miyu! I got my hands full trying to cut off these Envy Demons from cutting our networks altogether! Isn’t that right little Envy spy?” “AAARRRRGGGHHHH! OH LORD! WWWHHHYYY!” “The Envy Demon says hi!” Lamia replies.

“They have more Greed demon spellcasters than I originally thought! It’s taking nearly all the Lord’s I’ve got and myself just to stop them ripping open more portals to send the rest of their forces in all over the world!” Oksana replies.

“I envy you Miyu! You get to fight a worthwhile opponent while Janette and I are stuck here dueling any Demon Lord’s that come out of these portals!” Purple replies.

“Currently working on helping Purple, Janette, and Lamia by ID’ing any red herrings in their forces.” Carine replies over the radio.

“Miyu dear! Just hang on a little longer! I’m almost done here!” Janine says as you can hear the sounds of her weapons parrying everything.

You whisper a small prayer to Buddha, thanking him for giving you Janine at least. She’s physically stronger than you and much better in melee combat, so she should be able to keep that Valvatosa away from you when she’s ready.

It takes about two and half minutes, but you manage to put the finishing touches on your cloaking device. A device that not only bends light around you, but also masks your aura and spiritual signatures. The only con about the machine is that extremely rapid movement will break the cloak. Your purposefully added that flaw in. You DO NOT want to play the game ‘Guess the Invention’s flaw!’ now of all times.

You slap the disc shaped object onto your hip and attach it to your lab coat, digitizing a few other useful trinkets in the store before you activate the device and leave the store.

As you step out onto the street, blurring out of sight, you can see Valvatosa slowly flying above the city. His burning purple eyes scanning the streets down below for any sign of you.

Attack from a blindspot in his back, see if you can rip out/permanently damage one of his wings.

You decide that in order to make a real dealbreaker, you need to do what Miyans do best: Make something. And what would be a great gift? A bomb specifically designed to cause as much damage to him as possible while attempting to ignore as much of that pesky armour as possible.

You run out into the street, but at a speed slow enough to not break your cloak. You head over down the street into a home improvement shop, ready to do some serious damage.

You have to make some compromises on the bomb in order to give it the needed punch to blow through his armour without sacrificing damage. The radius is much smaller, but far more powerful. In addition, anything caught within the blast radius will be coated in a chemical cocktail that makes white phosphorus seem like baby powder in comparison.

You smile as you begin to seal the chemical capsules, but it’s then you notice the workbench is misty. ...Odd, you were not using any chemicals that could make cond-

Following your instinct you immediately take the bomb pieces and fly through the roof of the building, just seconds before streams of flame melt the ground below, turning the entire building into molten rock.

You turn around not only seeing Valvatosa, but *four* Demon Lord’s next to him.

“...Yea I bet it was real easy to do that after you lowered the temperature.” you spit as your cloak begins to activate again.

“Would you mind if I had a piece of her for myself?” a Pride Demon with light Purple skin and long flowing hair made of fire asks.

“After we’ve captured her.” Valvatosa replies, pointing his spear at where he thinks you are. “Articus! Infernius! Rush her while Tempesto covers you!”

“Charging...” a Demon with a living storm cloud for hair says. He holds his hand up into the air, sending sparks soaring up into the sky. Blatantly unnatural storm clouds grow in a heartbeat before they begin to crackle with electricity. The Frost Demon Lord grows a sword and shield made out of ice, just as the fire one grows wings of flame that beat up towards you, massively hands of flame coming out from where his hands are.

You wince as you see this sight. You could barely handle Valvatosa. But Valvatosa AND four high ranking Demon Lords!? No sign of Janine just yet and your bomb is almost ready. You just need *one more* minor distraction to finish it! Even just a scant handful of seconds!

Those of you who are paying attention, why *yes*, this is the exact same Demon Lord Articus that rules over Brooklyn's lands.

Shaking all these bastards at once with your current gear is out of the question. The bomb isn’t completed and your SBC-X has a roughly three second charge time. You digitize the bomb components before you quickly fly down the street, under metal railings that should hopefully deflect any lightning blasts.

“Sorry Vina...” you mutter your apology to the maker of the SBC-X for what you’re about to do. You push a large amount of aether into the gun and disengage all of the limiters. The SBC-X charges up in a fraction of a second, and you don’t waste any time hurling the weapon up in the air towards the molten remains of the home hardware shop. You give your wings a hard flap as you quickly accelerate down the alleyway to escape the blast radius. The Ice Demon breaks away but the Fire Demon continues to give chase after you.

You mentally count down the time in your head until the singularity collapses. A split second before it does, you duck behind the wall of the building. Before the Fire Demon can follow you, the explosion shockwave reaches him and blasts him away. Skipping on the freeway twice before hitting the side of a human military garrison.

You quickly digitize the bomb components and go back to work. This was a improvised diversion tactic, and it will not stall them forever. You slide open the receptacle and carefully slide the chemical containers into their slots before you charge the device with a bit of your aether. The holographic control display lights up, asking for a countdown input.

The Flame Demon’s phoenix wings flap, blasting him out of of the military garrison and incinerating all of the soldiers around the takeoff point. “You think you could lose me that easily! BURN! BURN INTO CINDERS!”

The flame washes across the ground, instantly turning the pavement into molten rock. Buildings either begin to collapse as the ground turns to liquid or explode as molten geysers of magma explode out from them.

You take to the air quickly. Swiftly dodging the plumes of magma shooting up from the ground.

“NOW VANISH!” The Fire demons screams as suddenly a massive hand of fire rushes out from the lava heading straight for you. You do not see this coming in time, and are hit by the fiery hand. It’s tempature sears even your demonically toughened flesh as it pushes you higher and higher into the air, before finally you can feel the fist finally exploding into a massive fireball, illuminating the entire night sky as if it were day for a split second.

Your remaining bits of clothing instantly turn to ash, reflexively reaching to button up your lab coat before you pause and realize where you are: Right in the middle of magically enhanced super storm clouds. The sparks of electricity begin to light up rapidly, indicating that soon the incoming barrage of bolts will be as numerous as the stars in the sky.

“I got you Miyu!” you hear Janine’s voice, sounding more like an angel as her Scimitars fly ahead to form a large metal piece. Sure enough multiple bolts of purple lightning begin to arc away from you and towards the Scimitar barrier instead.

“Oh thank god your timing could not be better!” you call out as you fly down towards Janine. Her hands are out in front of her, concentrating on holding the formation of her swords.

Then out from a nearby cloud, the Ice Demon soars out with his shortsword of ice, swinging at Janine.

Janine tries to dodge, but with all of her mental abilities focused on being a lightning rod and sacrificing her telekinetic barrier to do it.

The ice blade lands just on the dice of her midriff, cutting open a rather sizable gap. It is then the small blade of ice instead of Janine violently expends. The blood that leaves Janine’s body freeze in a long a gory stream behind her before the ice shatters a second later.

Your heart skips a beat as your scanners warn you that Janine cannot take another direct hit like that, and judging from the blood coming from her nose and ears, her powers have reached their limits after fighting five Demon Lord’s and an army.

With Janine’s life at risk, you decide to pull out all the stops. You force aether back into your limbs once more, the very raindrops of the world seeming to slow down as you fill your hands not with knives, but C-Toxin needles.

A split second later, the ice demon’s body is surrounded by C-Toxin needles, nearly all of which slam into his body, replacing nearly half of his bodily fluids with poison.

You then digitize the bomb you made from earlier, tying the strap around the Ice demon’s neck. With the Demon near death, his body is limp and unable to resist what you’re doing to him.

“Tell Valvatosa this. We’re going to come back, but in the meantime...” you press the arming button on the bomb. “Welcome to Earth!”

You grab the ice demon by the collar, spinning him around in the air to build up centrifugal force before you hurl him back down to the streets below. You can see him impacting the street, tearing a gouge out in the road. Valvatosa sees this coming and quickly jumps away. The Sky demon is not so lucky, as the bomb explodes then collapses into a mirco-sun. Shining so brightly that even you can see it up above from the thick storm clouds. Valvatosa roars in pain even just from the heat, while the Storm Demon suffers horrible damage from the sounds of his screams.

“Come on Janine...” you say taking out a syringe filled with a booster shot and slamming into the side of her leg, before taking her in your arms and flying away from the burning city. “We’re getting out of here.”

“I didn’t hear anything about Valvatosa, but I wouldn’t be surprised if things were bent to remain his mythical power and awe over the masses. Tempesto... I’d have to look into him.” you tell Miyu. “But... This is quite a bit to take in. Learning that you were responsible for the vaults and catfolk.”

“Yea, they do. There was a period a long time ago called, ‘The Reign of the Science Lords.’ It’s where some humans found a cache of advanced tech, the became dictators of the lands while waging some wars on Demonkind. I won’t be doing an update until later, but I thought I could address one misconception people seem to have.

Superscience isn’t the only way to get magical weapons and their ilk. Valvatosa’s armour and spear for example could be made by anyone with enough smarts, the right facilities, and the materials. Miyan Superscience just allows them to do it faster and with less. In addition, Miyan Superscience often comes with faults in their inventions, and Miyu was very careful to control the faults in her own inventions, often taking a lot of time and effort to test theories and carefully put together an invention (Controlling the fault like this is trickier than it sounds). Examples of some vaults would be (if were using a Miyu lite) healing medications that cause new flesh to heal over with a blue colour or the catgirls that Miyan mad scientist made being more susceptible to mind altering chemicals (Miyu exploited this after the medical scan on a cat, then taking catnip and making it into cat crack for bomb)

Please don’t take this another fault for the Miyans I didn’t tell you about >>. It is possible to control or outright eliminate a flaw an invention has, just that it will take more time and a higher skill check. The faults will not be as bad as "Your forcefield shuts down completely" or "Your invention goes on a killing rampage as soon as it wakes up."

“I am a very powerful magician, but I am not omnipotent. The anti-scrying wards I put up to block our presence would not last forever, just as a brick wall will not last forever when a group of people wail on it with sledgehammers.” Oksana says.

Our own link to the outside world is basically a small camera that lets us view what is outside of the shrine and the custom ritual Oksana taught you that specifically exploits a back door small enough so only communication feeds can get through.”

“So... You didn’t abandon us like the stories I heard?” Mina asks.

“Absolutely not. It was our intention to only remain here for about 250 years, enough time for Valvatosa to write us off for being on Earth then put the effort from finding us into more valuable areas.” Purple replies.

“Even if Valvatosa wanted to search for us, the Pride Demon Lord’s do not want to play a wild goose chase for nearly 250 years.” Janine replies.

“Then why are you still here?” Mina asks.

“That’s what we’d like to know!” Lamia replies. “The original plan was that we had a Succubi Demon Lord ready to come crack the prison on us when the time was right. But since she’s about 80 years late, give or take a few decades, we assume she’s probably dead right now. Capture isn’t a possibility, as she was smart enough to kill herself in case she was ever captured.”

“The only reason he still holds onto Earth is that he thinks the KING OF DESPAIR will awaken here, something he cannot tell his subordinates. Since Earth is rather backwater for Pride Demons, Valvatosa cannot justify deploying another large scale force like the one we originally fought without seriously damaging his social standing. All of the high ranking Demon Lord’s wouldn’t stand for using their ‘mighty’ armies just to qwell a rebel uprising.” Janine exclaims.

“What’s more, us being in here is somewhat of a minor blessing for the moment. So long as we’re in here, they cannot trace or find us.” Oksana says.

“To them, it is only a Succubi Demon Lord trying to take over a planet with little to no strategic value. At most, they’ll send an army out to deal with a ‘border skirmish’, but after that is repelled they’ll most likely agree to turn the place over.” Janette replies. “Valvatosa will personally be keeping an eye out with Envy Demon spies, but so long as those spies never discover any trace of the KING OF DESPAIR, then Valvatosa will ignore you.”

“Wait, I thought you said Valvatosa couldn't attack this place without losing social face.” you ask Janine.

He wouldn’t need to try that hard either, as the very prospect of ‘having the honor’ fighting against multiple Demon Queen’s is something few Pride Demon’s would turn down. We may be Succubi, but we’re still Demon Queen’s.” Janine explains. “As for the KING OF DESPAIR... Valvatosa would deem his reduced social standing as an acceptable loss in it meant putting an end to the KING. He’d use any and all methods at his disposal to bring his entire army back to Earth.”

“What we’re saying is that while daunting, victory is certainly possible.” Oksana
replies.

You exhale a deep breath of relief. It seems the Queen’s had the plan relatively thought out, minus the opening the prison bit.

Mina comes over and hugs you gently as well. “See! I knew it wouldn’t be as bad as we originally expected! How big would this ‘border skirmish’ army be anywho!?”

“I estimate the upper limits to be roughly 50 million troops.” Janette replies casually.

Both you and Mina just stare at Janette with wide eyed disbelief.

“Depending on the Demon Lord who leads the troops of course. That number includes things like all of their support personnel and the like. It sounds impressive, but believe me it’s nowhere near as impressive as it seems.”

“Janette and I held out against a force many times that for far longer.” Purple replies.

You begin to wrack your head to see if you can know anything familiar about the Miyan’s during the flashback. “...I think the Children of Lilith have a Saint in their lore named Gwendolyn. She was known for being a defender of knowledge everywhere before she perished defending people in the era of the Science Lord’s.”

Miyu’s eyes seem to tear up as she hears this. “T-that sounds like her alright. Did she at least take one of them out?”

“No, but she apparently made the device that allowed the final Commando Raid into a Science Lord Bunker to finish him off.” you reply. “She was buying time for and causing a distraction for the commando team.”

Miyu takes off her glasses, sniffling as she rubs her eyes with her sleeve. “T-that’s just like her... She never did like anyone else using her inventions...”

“Miyu...” Oksana says putting her arm around her.

“Gwen had a special type of fire in her eyes. I’m sure she had no regrets in the end.” Purple tries to reassure Miyu.

“She died defending others, and I’m happy that she’s remembered in such a positive light. I’ll be fine.” Miyu says wiping her eyes once again. “What about the virus? Did she finish making that?”

“It hits *everything*? Not just Pride Demons?” Lamia asks.

You nod. “Anything living, yes.”

“During the original battle, the prototype virus didn’t work on the Greed or Envy demons. Since they couldn’t make the virus selectively target things, they just settled for an increased effectiveness on enlightened beings.” Miyu hypothesizes.

“That’s actually pretty brilliant in it’s own right. A single mortal carrying the illness could literally infect an entire army, all while the mortals suffer from something far less worse.” Carine replies.

“...Wait. You also blew up your Black Hole gun. How do you have another here
here with you now?” you ask Miyu.

Miyu digitizes a black hole gun, flipping it over and showing you a serial number on the bottom. “SBC-001 L” is what it reads.

As I said, a bit could be nice. We don't want to be completely incompetent at physical stuff, but it shouldn't be the focus of our attention.

Most of the time a problem that we could solve through axing it a question would be easier for us to solve with magic. We should know how to dodge and not completely suck, but once we start encountering enemies that are faster and stronger than us we shouldn't try to match them at their strong points with something we aren't suited for.

We will find ways to make magical defenses, like in combat have a swarm of tentacles defending us and blocking attacks or making a shield out of darkness. Using Light Magic to move faster or turn invisible so attacks miss us. Suggesting people to attack their friends.

Oh yes. I'm not saying we should go 100% physical. Just that it never hurts to have options that don't rely on magic.

I personally think that coordination and agility should be more our thing than going 'Rawr, I tough and strong'. As you said, light magic can make us faster. A bit of physical training for the coordination to make use of that speed could give us an edge over someone just relying on the magic itself.

“So... how was it?” Mina asks as you can feel her finger trace up alongside your hip.

“That was... Wow...” you say turning around to face a smiling Mina. Without saying a word, you push your giggling lips against hers and have a small kiss.

“It seems you learned a few things...” Mina replies while giggling.

“You’re a good teacher.” you reply.

Phew, that answers our question. I'm very happy that it was her, because if there was someone else wandering about fucking with memories I would have been panicking.

Training first, get Mina, find somewhere quiet and out of the way that we can train, we can learn some combat stuff, especially dodging, and work on some type of combat training, it's not the biggest deal but I want our Light Thugs to be decently effective. But the main focus of our training should be on magic and experimenting with it, trying to combine Dark and Light magic, seeing if we can mix them together. Things like adding substance, weight, and strength to our Light Goons with Darkness magic to make them Twilight Goons or something like that, shooting lasers out of tentacles, pinning things down with Gravity and using that chance to laser them more.

And then we can take one hell of a soak with Mina before our date with the twins.

You decide that it’s best to try and do some training THEN wash up. You have a date with the twins later on tonight, and it’s no use going out to wash up before training makes you all sweaty and dirty again.

You head back to your home, beginning to fool around with your soligrams a bit more. Getting used to controlling them. You find that it’s actually really easy. It’s as if with a simple hand gesture, they do exactly as you want them to. This is all while Brodin sleeps on your bed peacefully.

“I’m h- Oh we have a guest!?” Mina says entering the house and seeing the Soligram.

“Uh? Ah no. That’s just a new level of light magic I learned how to use.” you tell Mina, walking up to the hologram and giving it a punch to the back. It gives a solid ‘thock’ sound, but the soligram evaporates back into thin air.

Mina stares wide eyed at where the soligram was before.“...Woah... Creepy... That’s almost like what Youkai tricksters do back home. ...Wait can you make more!?”

“Yea, they’re rather simple to make an-”

Mina grabs hold of your hands then looks at you with stars in her eyes. “PERFECT! I’ve been waiting to have a full physical training session without people getting seriously hurt for a long time now!”
