Welcome ladies and gentlemen, Ghouls and Ghosts, Republicans and Democrats to another edition of Succubi Quest!

Last time on Succubi Quest, we agreed to go on a dinner with a Merchant known as Elgar as thanks for saving his life later on in the game day, we began to corrupt the local noble youth, and asked Brodin about why people people would actually steal our body!

But we now continue from last thread, in where Brooklyn was just about to learn and cast a new ritual that would let him question fate! It will finally shed light on the long held question of just HOW many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie roll!

...Oh and find out the location of your body too, but come on don’t tell me you’re not tempted to know that!

PREVIOUS GAMES: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Succbus%20Lord%20Quest

...I'll try to add the first three threads in part 7. My massive fuckup.

“The more time we spend talking about how fucked up my life has become the more time passes us without us knowing this. Teach me the questioning ritual.” you ask Oksana.

“Agreed.” Oksana says as she begins to tutor you. It mainly begins with a crash course in the theory of fate and the stars. This ritual is heavily connected to astrology. She mentions how literally everything in existence has their own thread. When things interact, their threads tangle together. The closed the metaphysical connection, the easier it is to question or find something. This ritual is designed specifically to ask the forces that govern the loom in order to know anything happening in the present or things that have happened. However it cannot in any way, shape, or form predict the future.

(NEW RITUAL! LEARNED ‘QUESTION FATE’! Upon casting the spell, the user will gain insight into how many questions they are allowed to cast. The amount of questions being how well they rolled. The answers to this questions will be in short answer or yes/no format. Extremely complex, fateful or intentionally obscured questions may require more than one question be used in order for Fate to provide the answer. The answers will be truthful, but may be cryptic or difficult. The user can only cast this a certain amount of times per lunar cycle depending on how strong they are [Current amount: 2])
>>

[2/2]

“Hm... Like this?” Mina asks after making what seems the hundredth cat’s cradle. It seems more like a mess of interlocking strings rather anything remotely properly geometric or symmetrical.”

“That’s perfect Mina. Now step into the spell circle here so Brooklyn can try out the spell.” Oksana tells Mina.

(Rolling time. Roll 1d100. Using Aetheric/Occult theory of average for a +40 bonus. [I’m increasing the increment to make things a bit less random]. Target to roll over is 75, with every 10 over 75 being one more question you can ask to a maximum of three (This amount increases with time). Best of first three will be counted as winner. Aether use: Medium)

Now while people are rolling and wondering what questions to ask, I’ll indulge you in some metagame knowledge. Those looking at the sheets will notice “Aether cost” next to spells. Many of you are asking, “Sandact, what the fuck is bullshit and when we can we slap Mina’s ass next?” Well fear not, as I shall explain to you.

Aether cost of none usually means it’s always on. If this is the case, it cannot be dispelled. These spells are generally rare.

Aether cost of “Small/Low/Light” means that these spells can basically be spammed with little to no impact on your current aether pool. So generally you do not need to be afraid of using these constantly.

Aether cost of “medium” costs a noticeable chunk. Constant, consecutive use of medium costs will end up draining you. If you need a number, think of about 1/10th of your total Aetheric reserves. This amount can change slightly due to plot, but if you need a ballpark estimate this is it. For comparison, this is the amount of aether Brooklyn needed to have the darkness tentacle lift up a bus back in the pirate base.
>>
>>22181360

[2/2]

Aether cost of “high” costs a fair bit, usually around one third to half your pool. These effects are very strong, but expensive. If you cast a high costing magic twice, you’ll be limited to about one medium costing magic before relying on low costing spells.

Aether cost of “very high” means you can can only cast it once with your current aether reserves. You can cast a few medium magics after that, but not large or high costing ones.

Aether cost of “all” drains ALL the aether from your body except for tiny bit you need to live. VERY strong spells have this cost. Pray you don’t screw up with these, as it’s all or nothing.

With that, I shall now begin the quest again. You have two questions to ask. What questions do you want to ask?
>>
>>22181367
>>22181360
None of that answered when our next opportunity to slap Mina's ass would be.
>>
>>22181389
Soon.

>>22181367
"Where is my previous body from when I was a mortal"

"If anyone who, and what, is the infiltrator in Langy's court?"
>>
Do we have to be extremely specific with our wording or does it understand the spirit of the message? E.G. "Where is my body in relation to a landmark I am familiar with"
>>
>>22181389
If it weren't for the fact that we aren't allowed to ask questions of the future I'd vote for exactly that as our second question to the ritual.
>>
>>22181442
Can we refer to Oksana for her opinion on the questions we're about to ask? In statement form, not question, because that's just asking for the ritual to screw us over.
>>
>>22181446
I think it answers the question as asked. What if we ask "In what location or whose possession, whichever answer would be more meaningful to me, is the previous body from when I was a mortal?" How would Fate respond?
>>
“Hear me oh mighty weavers of fate... Heed my request and grant me the answers to the questions that I may ask you.” you say as you begin to pull gently on the strings. This ritual is pretty simple all things considered.

A sudden feeling seems to wash over you, feeling as incredibly knowledge washes over you for a fraction of a second, before suddenly washing away just as fast. However it leaves you with one bit of infomration. “Two.” You assume this means that you can ask two questions.

“...I go-”

“Ssshhh! Don’t speak!” Oksana says cutting you off. “Anything that comes out of your mouth it’ll interpret as a question to be answered. Just ask the questions you want to know about.”

“...Where is my previous body from where I was mortal?” you ask.

41°52′55″N 87°37′40″W... These numbers suddenly pop into your head. They seem utterly random. You’re worried about forgetting them, but for now they seem firmly cemented into your mind.

(Next question?)
>>
"What are the allegiances of the [can't remember their names] sisters?"

My trust in them is inverse to how far Mina could throw them
>>
>>22181496
Who was the driving force behind my former body being taken?

>>
>>22181551
In either the sears or the target at that.
I really hope it's the former, thinking of our former body being bargain bin shopping is saddening.
>>
I thought we already suspected one of being a laminian? Between that, one who worships the people who hate demons, and another who's onto our secret, and not knowing everything there is to auras, it will give us one less problem to worry about.
>>
>>22181496

Where am I most likely to find the lamian Succubus in fort hope?
>>
“...Who was the driving force behind my former body being taken?” you ask.

The instant you ask this, the brain shooting through your head makes you wish you didn’t. Pain. Misery. Suffering. Ruined Kingdoms. You kneel down on the ground clutching your head. All of these flash through your mind in extremely rapid order before one answer becomes clear to you.

THE KING OF DESPAIR

“Brooklyn! Brooklyn what’s wrong!?” Mina asks as kneels down to the ground, trying to support you.

“What... What the fuck...” you shudder as you stare at the ground in front of you. Your heart is nearly beating out of your chest from fear, while a dim feeling of what feels like hopelessness fills the back your heart.

“...Brooklyn... What did you see?” Oksana asks. "Relax, nothing with that ritual can ever harm you, but you must've found something big in order to get a reaction like that."
>>
>>22181662
"Oksana, do you know the name 'The King Of Despair'"
>>
>>22181662
Uh.. one second while I get my brain unshattered from that horrifying experience...

Does the name "THE KING OF DESPAIR" mean anything to you?

(remember to enunciate the ALLCAPS)
>>
“...Oksana... Do you know the name, ‘THE KING OF DESPAIR’?” you ask her.

The mere mention of this name seems to make Oksana’s face drain of all colour. “...I can answer a bit of that question. But the answer to that is incredibly dangerous information. I’ll need to discuss with the other Queen’s about this as soon as possible, but before I leave can let you know why it’s considered so dangerous.”

Now you’re feeling scared yourself. Can something be this big to give even a Demon Queen pause?
>>
>>22181728
Apparently yes.

"Yeah, his name did not sound pleasant. He was the driving force behind my body being taken, so that's bad."
>>
this may seem like an inappropriate time to ask, but are we currently able to feed off our queen's emotion? Can succubi even feed off each other?
>>
>>22181748

The Queen is currently like a hologram. You're unable to feed off of her emotion. You could use Aura sight to see what her current emotions are though.
>>
>>22181773
I got money on fear.
>>
>>22181773

There is no reason to doubt her reaction. For now, just listen to what she has to say. I think that it might be time to learn about undwad from Brodin...
>>
“His name hardly brings any positive feelings when mentioned. He was the driving force behind my body being taken, so that’s got to be bad.” you reply as Mina helps you up. You notice that your own hands are shaking.

“It goes FAR beyond that. Shortly before we agreed to hide away from Demon King Valvatosa and his army, one of us fought with him. It was during then Demon King Valvatosa revealed to us that he feared this King. A being so potent that seven Demon Emperors and very high ranking Archangels attempts to kill it. Most of them died getting the monster *sealed*, let alone killed.” Oksana says.

You nearly jump out of your skin upon hearing Oksana mention those words. “WHAT!? Tell me you’re joking! Why haven’t I ever heard of such a monster like that!?” You turn on your aura sight to get a look at Oksana’s aura, and you notice it to be an Orange colour along with your own. Both saying fear.

“The details about the King of Despair were hard to come by. Indeed it was only very shortly before I even heard of it. Even then it was only from Empress Pamille. If you want to know the entire story, then come back to the shrine and we’ll talk there. I want absolutely no one being able to trace this conversation.” Oksana says. “Now if you’ll excuse me Brooklyn, I need to bring this up with the other Queens.”

With that, Oksana simply vanishes into thin air. The glowing around the magic circle stops as well along with all the candles being burnt out.

“...Brooklyn? Did we just hear something bad?” Mina asks, her own aura being a mix of Orange, Grey, and silver.
>>
>>22181879
"Uh, yeah. It's bad, but it's the type of bad we can't do anything about, at least not now, so we don't have to really worry about it. It's huge and far off."
>>
Oh yes, information on Demon Emperor’s and High Archangels.

Demon Emperors are considered, without a doubt, the absolute strongest Demon currently of that race. Their very stories are told with hushed awe and dread from all but the most arrogant or foolhardy of demons. There are literally so many stories about Demon Emperors, it is hard to sort truth from fiction, even for dedicated Scholars on the subject.

The reason Brooklyn nearly shit himself at the mention of Demon Emperor’s and equivalent power archangels dying to this creature means it is something with power on the scale you’re unable to conceive.

I swear at times I keep forgetting Brooklyn is a scholar, so obvious bits of information like this get left out >>
>>
What time is it now? When are we suppose to meet the merchant for dinner?
>>
And then it turns out that the King of Despair was only just thinking to himself one day:
>Hmm. Y'know what would be really funny? If I went and paraded a human corpse around in front of that jackass Valvatosa. Minions! Fetch me a human corpse!
>Again, sir?
>Shaddap and do it!
>Yessir.

>Later...
>Now wherever are we going to find a human corpse? Hmm, maybe those sealed Succubi Queens have some ideas, it's not like they've got anything else to do down there than scry on- ...oh look, a human corpse! How convenient.

The King of Despair is inordinately powerful, but has a terrible sense of humor.
>>
>>22181947

About 8:30 in the morning. You meet Elgar the merchant for dinner at 8 PM. Your job to teach Brothen is at 1:00 to 3:00 today.
>>
>>22181879

"well, my body has been taken as some part of some as yet unknown plot involving something which could probably be described as a god... to take seven demon emperors AND high ranking archangels JUST to seal it... if this did not involve my body, i would be inclined to never talk about this again, but since there is a chance of by body being used against me, i find myself at a loss, i want to get my body back, but facing the unknown who is working for such a being...."

for now, just practice concealing our power level, so that we look like a normal mortal to aura sight... we should get a grasp on this before we go to teach Brothen as Langly is getting paranoid...
>>
I have a feeling our discussion about this king will take some time, so we'd best save it for after tutoring. Instead we should turn to pressing issue the Knight, and talk to staff at the castle about what they've heard. the staff always hear things they shouldn't.
>>
>>22181879
so absolutely terrible that my current plan is to find out exactly how terrible it could be, then get drunk and forget about it entirely until it comes to bite me in the ass.
>>
“Well I just found out that my body was taken for some sort of plot made by a being best described as a god, or as close as one could get to it. Taking on several Demon Emperors and High-Ranking Archangels, and all they could do is just SEAL the damn thing? If this didn’t involve my body then I’d be inclined to never speak of such a thing ever again, as the chances of my body being used against me are too high. But we’re also facing the complete unknown of people or things that took my body originally...” you tell Mina.

“...So what do we do now?” Mina asks.

“By the sounds of it, nothing for the current moment. We’ll ask the Demon Queens about this next time we visit the shrine. But for the meantime, we need to practice concealing our auras for when that Demon Knight comes to visit.” you tell Mina as you stand back up. “...I’m OK now. Don’t worry...”

Mina still helps you up regardless. “I hope so... But how are we going to learn to disguise our auras?”

“...No idea. What about you?” you ask.

“You’re the scholar.” Mina retorts.

“Touche...” you reply to her. “...Maybe a spell of some sort...”

“Oh! Maybe if you ask the Laminian girl she might now!” Mina suggests.

“Or we can try to do it right now and see if we can make any progress... Damnit I wish there was a manual for demonic powers...” you curse to yourself.
>>
>>22182085
"Well, she'd probably know better than us, which is part of why finding her will be hard.

We need a snack anyway, so let's go out, enjoy the town, find some emotions to feed on and look for kid street gangs that the Laminian might be in, unusual auras, anything like that."
>>
>>22182085

well, those rituals drained a fair bit of our aether reserves, so it might be a good idea to go out and have a nice filling breakfast... maybe we'll get lucky. just remember what Lamia said in regards to her clans nature and we may just find a trail...
>>
“It’s because she knows information like that is why it’ll be so hard to track her down. Anyways I’m hungry. How about we head out and grab a snack, enjoy the town a bit, basically get some emotions to snack on while we look for the that Laminian girl in things like street gangs and such.” you says.

However as you say this, your stomach rumbles loudly.

“...Sounds like you need a full blown meal rather than a snack.” Mina says.

“...Looks like getting a snack off those noble girls for a few hours yesterday wasn’t enough...” you mutter. “I was fine after that Snow Pirate base ordeal, but casting those two rituals in short order appears to have drained me.”

“Yea... You often need like a few dozen people giving off strong emotions to get a real meal out of it in my experience...” Mina says. “So where do you want to go? If you’re lucky, you could probably head to the pubs again. Right now the night shift will be getting off, so emotions will be easy to collect or manipulate there.”

“...Oh yea, it’s also Monday morning. There’s going to be a Lacross match in town today as well. Held between the various merc groups in two. It’s a fairly major thing that goes down and emotions could be high as well, although I’ve never been much of a sports fan.” you say.

“I’m sure if you think of it, there could be a few other good places to feed as well...” Mina says trying to think.

(You can pick one of those two locations, or suggest some other location to go to. At the moment your aether reserves are fairly low)

“Let’s go to the Lacross game then. There’s going to be a lot of people there so it should be easy to get a full meal from there.” you tell Mina.

“Oh! Oh I have a question!” Mina says piping up.

“Yes?” you ask her.

“What’s Lacross?” she asks.

“It’s a sporting event where people skate on ice while passing a ring around to each other in order to push it into the other team’s net to get points. Most points wins.” you explain the general jist to her.

“...So like Judo?” she asks.

“...Not quite. Less fighting on the rink, but the action is still fairly intense.” you tell Mina as you get your casual dress. “Anyways, let’s head on over to the match and see what’s going on.”

“OK!” Mina says as she begins to prepare herself.

******

You head over to the skating rink in town, which is mainly a small frozen pond near the Southern wall edge. Rafters are mounted against the rear in order to give better seats. One could always take their chances and sit near the snow, but the chances of getting a decent spot goes down to nearly nothing. You try to pay for your own ticket, but Mina insists on spending her own money to get you a ticket to the stands.
>>
>>22182722

[2/2]

You head up to an empty spot in the stands, but still feel as if you’re somewhat crushed between Mina and some random fat guy next to you. Even if you couldn’t taste emotions, you could feel the tension in the air, but you can and it tastes sweet. Currently the Crimson Bears are up against the Soaring Hawks, and both sides are tied up two even. You can feel the energy flowing into you, slowly filling you up.

You look down on the ice rink, but you’re unable to Lance anywhere down below on the ice field. You do however see a Soaring Hawk member living up to it’s namesack, stealing the ring when a Crimson Bear tries to pass it. He shoots the ring across the field to another Hawk, before that Hawk shoots the ring into the Bear’s net, all of this happening amazingly fast. The crowd goes absolutely ballistic as the goal is made, allowing you to taste near equal amounts of spicy anger and sweet vermillion happiness. You can literally see the bits of people’s aura slowly make their way towards your chest and then into your body.

What does seem to grab your attention though is that you’re not the only one eating these auras. You slowly follow the trail to what appears to be a front row seat reserved for VIP’s. Down below you can see a noble family cheering on the Hawks with a bored teenage girl. The auras all appear to be heading towards the teenage girl’s chest as well.

“...Score...” you mutter to yourself.

“Yea it’s 3-2 now!” Mina replies.

Check out the bored teenage girl's aura, she's pretty obviously the Lamia, but we should see if she's concealing it, how strong she if if it's not hidden, what family she's with, and so on.

>>22182765
"Mina, if the Crimson Bears want to take the lead how many goals do they need?" "9!"
>>
>>22182727

make a mental note of the family and especially the teenage girl. if we are lucky, we might be able to talk with her seperate from her 'family'. but for now, we will just enjoy our meal, while keeping an eye on our young friend...
>>
>>22182776
No, the answer is zero, because there's no way such a thing could ever happen.
>>
[1/2]

You look down at the bored girl’s aura, noting it to be a deep blue sort of colour. Her aura appears to be the large aura similar to you and Mina. You kinda wonder why this is the case. Could the Laminian simply be conversing energy by not engaging her aura suppression abilities? Does she know any aura suppression abilities? As for relative strength, her aura does appear to be a tiny bit larger than either you or Mina’s, but the difference is hard to see.

You look down to make note of her family. They’re definitely Langy’s, as you’ve seen them around the castle before. This family appears to be big on the Lacross aspect of town.

“Oh no! Your boyfriend’s team is losing!” Mina says as she shakes your shoulder.

“Mina, how many goals do the Crimson Bears need if they wish to win this game?” you ask her.

“...Nine!” Mina replies after a second.

“Good girl.” you reply. Your focus is not on the game, but rather on the Laminian for the moment.
>>
>>22182888

[2/2]
As the game continues on into the hours of the morning, you note that when the game is nearly completed, the Laminian’s aura suddenly flickers down to the size of what a normal human’s appears to be. At the same time, the emotions that were running off of the crowd seem to mostly stop flowing into her with the same volume as before. Indeed, it’s as if when she shrunk her aura it’s that all of the emotional energy seemed to stop as well. An interesting bit, in where apparently if she’s in human aura, her ability to collect emotions are limited? It’s also hard to get a good look at her, since she’s bundled up in winter clothing all over.

It’s just about now that she seems to say a few words to her family. Her family seems to disagree on something, forcing her to storm out from the game and over to a horse carriage near the edge of the match. The carriage appears to have two royal guards positioned near the carriage that the Laminian girl has gotten into.
>>
>>22182899
Interesting. So she needs to release the aura to feed, but otherwise she can keep it quiet.

It'd be a tad suspicious if we just walked up to the horse carriage to get a better look at her so we won't be able to narrow it down further right now, but we know it's a young looking Langy girl.

Look some more at the people she was with, if we can recognize their names or any identifying features we can track them down later and then find the Laminian.

“Mina, I need to use the washroom. I’ll be back in a minute.” you tell her.

“Kay!” Mina says as she continues to anxiously watch the game.

You exit the stands and walk over to the royal carriage. Sure enough, you’re stopped when you approach within 10 paces of the guards.

“Halt! This carriage is considered the property of the royal Langy family! We’re going to have to ask you to leave.” one of the guards says.

“Wow. You’re *both* Royal guards? (Go watch the game for five minutes).” you give a hidden order to the guards.

“...Wait are the Bears making a comeback!?” one of the guards say before both of them rush over to get a better view of the rink.

You walk over to the carriage and simply knock on the door. “Emotions always seem to run high during sporting events, don’t you think?”

There is a pause for a few seconds before and answer comes. “So what? You think you’re hot stuff simply because you suggested two guards away from the carriage? Who are you and what are you doing here?” the teenage female voice inside of the carriage demands.

Demon Emperor is 'merely' a title given to the strongest surviving Demon of a certain species. Oksana used to be a normal Succubus before she became a Queen, so becoming an Emperor is definitely possible, but it'd take a long time.

Keep an eye on her aura, see if her emotions go changing during the conversation, she might be able to shrink her aura but not control the emotional output.

"Just saying hi to the neighbors dear, sharing information, all of that. You know about the Pride demon coming to town right? You are a Langy, at least everyone thinks you are. I'm not sure if what you're up to will be enough to keep you off his radar, I found you and it wasn't really that hard.

There aren't that many of us and I'd hate to see you get hurt, we can benefit each other quite a lot.

We don't have that much time to talk though, would you mind if we continued the conversation at (place for lunch) in a few hours, around 4? I'm sure you can sneak out and get there."
>>
>>22183094

just confirming a suspicion, that and asking if you would like to join us for some tea later...

also, my apologies about forgeting the single target nature of suggestion, thank you for overlooking it.
>>
“Rumors are there’s a Demon Knight coming to town seeking an infiltrator in Langy’s court. I believe that to be you. I have a vested interest in seeing you survive, as there’s not many of our kind roaming around free and I doubt you want your head on the Knight’s shoulder as an ornament.” you say through the carriage door. Aura sight is on, but you’re unable to get a view of her, let alone see her aura.

“Tch. You treat me as if I’m new to this ordeal. If anything my dear, I think you should be more concerned about yourself.” you suddenly notice that her accent has changed into a British sounding one.

“While considering I find when I’m not that old myself says something about your current stealth skills, doesn’t it? I think we can benefit from each other quite a bit. Meet me at the Nobleman teahouse at around four for a spot of tea? I’m assuming a Laminian experienced as yourself should be able to make a trip like that.” you tell her.

“It’s not like I have a choice in this matter do I?” The Laminian sighs in an irritated voice. “Fine, tea at four it is.”

You walk away from the carriage feeling rather accomlished about yourself. You note that right now it’s about 11:00 AM. The game goes on for another half hour yet. You’re roughly a little more than half full, but now that you don’t need to share with the Laminian any more you probably can get more food. Or you could just bugger off and do something else before your job.

So succubi don't need to eat human food because they eat souls. But if they do eat human food it doesn't need to come out the other end (what happens to it?). But whatever happens to most of it, some of it goes through a normal digestion system to turn into the normal stuff so that we always have enough in reserve to piss ourselves (if we're even more scared can we shit ourselves as well?) (what happens to the nutrients+energy extracted if we don't actually use them?).

What the actual fuck.

Mina must have been really into the game to buy 'I need to use the washroom'. What would be doing there? We don't use toilets as discussed above, we don't wear makeup because we can just shapeshift our face to look how we want. Do succubi have periods? Actually I'm not sure I even want to know.

The bathroom thing is twofold:

1) Mina is naive enough to believe something like that. I had a feeling Brooklyn would want to tackle this on his on due to the mentioned bad blood between Mina and the Laminian
2) I felt like shit last night and mainly wanted to hurry to a good stopping point. Still do. BTW if any of you know good ways to help recover from a bad flu, that'd be fucking *amazing*.

You decide to go back and finish feeding for the moment. There’s no sense in wasting a good chance to feed after all.

“Feeling better?” Mina asks as you slide back into your seat.

“Yea I just had to get some crap out of the way.” you reply.

“...Wait a second... But we don’t need to go to the bathroom...” Mina replies.

“Damn straight. If you didn’t bitch then you’d explode.” you hear some guy mutter behind you.

You give out a small chuckle to yourself as hear the comment.

The game goes as normal, but in the end the Soaring Hawks win with their 3-2 lead. The torrent of emotions near the end was especially exciting, with a large mix of both spicy and sweet flavors seemingly overwhelming you. While you’re not stuffed, you do certainly feel rather full.

Afterwards, you head back to your home and prepare yourself for your teaching lesson with Brothen. You barely manage to arrive on time, but thankfully do so while also avoiding the sight of Mary-Anne.

“Brothen, it’s time for your lessons.” you say knocking on the door of Brothen’s room.

[2/2]

“...Who is it?” he asks after a few seconds.

“It’s Brooklyn. Remember my little... accident?” you ask.

“Oh right! I’m sorry!” Brothen says as he opens the door to his room, his face appearing to be in a small state of panic. “I nearly forgot what happened! I’m so sorry!”

You chuckle softly as you pat his head. “Don’t worry about if. If I were you I’d probably be asking the same thing.” You enter his room and take off your shoulder bag, flipping through your teaching notes. “Now... What do you want to start with today? Multiplication or maybe wrap up the final days of Gorosa’s reign?”

“Uh... Miss, uh Mister Brooklyn! I was wondering if I could ask you a question before we begin...” Brothen says, his face somewhat blushing.

“Of course you may.” you reply.

“Um... How are you taking the whole ‘accident’? I mean I heard of what Mom did with treating you as her dress up doll, but I’d like to know how you’re dealing with all of this. I-If you don’t mind me asking...” Brothen stammers.
>>
And... I think I will take a small nap now since it feels as if I went through a boxing match...
>>
>>22196249
"Well Brothen, I keep on telling myself that there's nothing I can really do about it so I may as well get used to it.

Yeah it was annoyed to have your Mom dress me up, and it's weird not to recognize my face in the mirror.

But I'm still me, and that's the important part. I still think the same, I still ogle pretty girls, read books, and get drunk.

It could have been much worse, I could have died. So, I suppose I'm doing alright."

“Well Brothen, there’s nothing I can really do about it, so I keep telling myself that I may have to get used to it. It was annoying for your mom to play dress up with me, and I still do double takes in the mirror as it often feels like I cannot recognize my face in a mirror. I mean, it could be much worse as I still prefer this over death. But deep down it’s still me. I still get drunk, read books, and ogle pretty girls.” You reply.

“...But you’re a girl now. Shouldn’t you be ogling boys now?” Brothen asks.

Before you can answer, your mind flashes to the date you and Lance had not too long ago. “N-not at all. Just because I’m in a girls body, doesn’t mean I want to romantically go after guys.” you says blushing.

“...But how can two girls love each if they’re not related by family?” Brothen asks.

“That’s for when you’re older.” you say as you take out the history book. “For now, let’s finish up Gorosa, shall we?”

“OK!” Brothen says, seeming to quickly forget asking anything else. You like the fact that kids are so easy to dance around at times.

“So... What is 3 x 4?” you ask.

“...9!” Brothen replies.

“No that’s 3 x 3. ...What’s 3 x 2?” you ask.

“...9!” Brothen replies again.

“Ha ha... We’ll work on tomorrow then. For now my time is up. Now before tomorrow, don’t forget to look over the two and three multiplication tables.” you say patting him on the head while passing him a sheet of a multiplication tables.

“OK!” Brothen says as he takes the sheet. “Have a good day Misses Browning. I-I mean MISTER Browning!”

“Ha... Don’t worry about it.” you say chuckling nervously as you put all your belongings into the bag. “See ya Brothen.

“Bye bye Mister Browning!” he says as you leave his room.

As of right now, you’re in the Langy Family castle. It’s 3:01 PM, giving you about a half hour to do anything before you need to head to the cafe to meet the Laminian. You do note that this is probably a good time to explore the castle a little bit. So long as you give the excuse “I was trying to find the person to pay me”, they often don’t care. So long as you don’t go near the sensitive areas like the war room, armory, audience room, Langy’s personal chambers, etc...

He's just as bad at math as Mina is.

Let's see if we can locate the library, it probably has all sorts of books we'd like for ourself.
>>
You decide that this would be as good of time as any to see if you can locate the private Langy family library. Just to see what’s inside of it.

It takes a few minutes of walking around, but you eventually do manage to find it. As you peer in from around the corner, you can see at first glance it’s a rather simplistic library, but still larger than the public town library. It has two floors, the second floor being open space with a large hole overlooking the first floor. Shelves seem to line both the walls and make hallways, full of rare and exotic books you’ve only seen once before, back when you were with your old mentor long ago. The real kicker appears to be just in the entrance, as there is what appears to be an old world computer. A device that is able to keep track of any book in the library and tell you where it is located in the library.

You can’t help but feel that some small part of you is jealous about this. All this rare and valuable information that could better help the people, and here it’s hoarded and locked away. The very thought makes you angry enough that you actually grit your teeth.

“...Madam Browning?” you can hear Mary-Anne’s voice behind you.

You nearly jump out of your skin from the shock she gave you. “W-Wah! M-Madam Mary-Anne! S-sorry, I wa-... Wait, Madam Browning?”

“But of course! I have to use the proper title for you after all!” Mary-Anne says chuckling behind her fan.

“If you wanted to be proper you’d call me sir...” you mutter under your breath.

“Hm?” Mary-Anne asks.

“Nothing.” you quickly reply.

“Well here’s your pay for the day Madam Brooklyn.” Mary-Anne says putting four gold coins in your hand. “And I must ask, how is the dress I gave you working out?”
>>
>>22199198
"It's a lovely dress, it's taken some getting used to, but I do look rather nice in it and dresses are much more comfortable than I thought they would be.

Though I don't think I'll ever really understand heels, how are you supposed to walk properly in those in the snow?"

tempted to ask about the library maybe question if someone in the family is also a scholar? Get nobles do what they do best talk about themselves. maybe we will learn something interesting about the family or other nobles.

>>
[1/3]

"It's a lovely dress, it's taken some getting used to, but I do look rather nice in it and dresses are much more comfortable than I thought they would be.” you reply. “Though I don't think I'll ever really understand heels, how are you supposed to walk properly in those in the snow?"

“Ohoho! VERY carefully my dear! Very carefully!” Mary-Anne laughs as she puts her hand on your shoulder. “Now come along dear! I’d like to know more about how your life has been since your accident!”

Your eyes look back at the library as Mary-Anne drags you away. A small pang of regret can be felt in your heart, but if you’re caught in there then you can possibly face dungeon time. Being locked up in a dungeon in a place that’s always in perpetual winter? VERY bad.

On the way back, you humor Mary-Anne with some tidbits that you faced, such as bath house (which she finds incredibly juicy, you also leave out the Lance bit and Noble girls), meeting Mina, going clothes shopping with her, and a few other minor things.

“My this Mina girl certainly sounds like a lively one! Plus I think it is great for you to have a female friend to help you through these difficult times! Please do and try to wear one of the dresses she brought you tomorrow as well! I’m dying to see what you two picked out!” Mary-Anne says as you put on your winter coat.

“Will do. Have a pleasant day Madam Mary-Anne.” you say doing a small bow.

“No no no! Brooklyn, a lady in a dress doesn’t bow in this situation! You do a curtsy, like this!” Mary-Anne says as she uses both hands to lift her dress a bit before giving a very small bow.
>>
>>22199450

[2/3]

“...Like this?” you say, mimicking her.

“That’s perfect! My Brooklyn, you sure are blessed to have someone like me! But don’t worry, I’ll make a proper lady out of you yet!” Mary-Anne says laughing.

You can feel your eyebrow twitch somewhat. You’re a lady only in body, but definitely not soul! ...But wait... The Queens performed soul surgery on you. So does that mean that your soul is also female in addition to your body? Alright then! Female in body and soul, but NOT mind!

“Have a good day Madam Mary-Anne.” you say doing a curtsy in front of her.

“And the same to you Madam Brooklyn.” Mary-Anne says doing a curtsy with her oversized dress.

You leave the Langy castle and head straight towards the Nobleman Teahouse. It’s your second time in a ritzy place such as this, but what you’re most thankful for is getting out of the bloody cold. For some reason it’s chiller than average today.

“Greetings ma’am! Table for one?” a Maid comes over and asks shortly after you enter.

“Brooklyn Browning. I’m supposed to be meet someone here.” You tell the maid.

“Right his way Madam Browning.” The maid says as she leads you up the stairs to the private room section.

“Excuse me, Lady Marina. Your guest has arrived.” the maid says knocking on the door.
>>
>>22199452

[3/3]

“Very good. Send her in.” a young teenage voice on the other end replies.

The maid then opens the door for you. As you enter, you can see the room is the exact one the noble girls were using, only with far fewer tea and biscuits this time. You note the Laminian girl, dressed up in a fancy light yellow princess dress. Her hair appears to be a dark brown colour with a pair of long hair curls coming down the left and right sides of her face, almost like drills. The expression on her face is rather strong, clearly showing some form of displeasure as she sips her tea with her eyes closed.

“Glad to see that you were able to make it.” you say as you sit down on the second couch.

“Yes yes... But there’s little point of keeping up this costume party now is there?” Marina says as two large horns come out of her head. They’re curled up and pointing to the front, but otherwise appear to be a smaller version of the demon queen’s horns. “So why don’t you answer me first. How long has a Succubus like you been around this town? I was aware of the Kazanari woman, but you seem to be a newcomer here.”

A quick warning from Mina comes back to your mind. Laminians often detest being called children.
>>
>>22199458
Get ourself a cup of tea and some biscuits. Turn on our Aura sight, we want to see if the emotional color shifts and get an idea of what she's feeling. She might be able to conceal the size, but she might not or just doesn't conceal the emotions.

"Oh, not that long. It's a lovely place though, I have come to like it quite a bit.

I could ask the same thing of you, how long have you been here?"
>>
>>22199507

Lamia herself said that either shutting off or changing colour of an aura is a high level trick. This Laminian is only a tiny bit stronger than you are, so she shouldn’t be able to alter her aura beyond just appearing human.

You turn on your Aura sight, noting that despite the fact she let her horns out, her aura is still that of a normal human’s. Her aura colour is bright red, indicating anger.

“Oh not that long. I have come to like it quite a bit since it is a lovely little place. Just how long have you been here yourself?” you ask as you pour yourself some tea.

“You ask that yet you don’t even introduce yourself first?” Marina replies sipping her tea.

“Oh dear! How dreadfully ignorant of me. My name is Sarah Luckfield.” you say giving a fake name for now.

“Then you may refer to me as Marina Langy for now.” The Laminian says putting down the cup of tea. “As for time, I’ve been in this... pit for nearly 12 years now. The first two were spent figuring out the major power players of the town while I was in one of the local child ruffian groups. The other ten spent within Langy’s court of posers.”

10 years in his court before Langy himself caught on? You can’t help but be a bit impressed by such a feat.

that is a difficult question.... technically only a week however i have lived here longer that that. Thinking of leaving the queens out of this conversation till we know this individual better. if pressed we can say a half truth that we became one from a random succubus that was passing through.

tell her what we know of this visiting pride knight and also ask about changing auras as that will be very important when the knight visits.

Also start scheming how to get rid of the knight without arousing suspicion or at least deflect the knight. drawing blanks right now but it should be a priority. should at least establish a safe house if cover is compromised.

i suggest using aura sight just in case.

Maybe a deadfall trap? Can a demon survive having a cinderblock dropped on him from several stories up?
>>
>>22199607
I don't think we should say a succubus transformed us, that seems like a rather rare thing, let's just let Marina assume things for now.

>>22199593
"They do sound like quite an annoying group to live with. And it took 10 years for them to notice something odd, not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.

We have on our hands a mutual problem, that of the newly promoted Demon Knight visiting town. Quite an inconvenience I must say. It makes our life troublesome, and as much as I would like to killing him is not the solution, that will simply bring more suspicion on this town and more Knights.

I sincerely apologize for asking this, but it is a necessary precaution before I proceed further. Are you independent? Are you bent or broken? Have you been broken before?"
>>
>>22199644
Probably. And killing the Knight means that his death will be noted, be seen as suspicious and weird as fuck, and we'll get more demons showing up here. It's been 50 years since the last one came, if he doesn't find anything than he'll bugger off and we can plot in relative safety.
>>
>>22199645
I somehow doubt she would answer the last questions, if she hasn't she might take insult as well.
>>22199679
I agree with this
>>
>>22199695
She'll either be insulted or act insulted. But the point isn't her answer, she'd say she wasn't broken either way, but we can gauge her emotional response to get a pretty good idea of if she's lying or not. If she shows anger and nothing but she's just insulting, but if she shows other things like panic, deception, anything like that we'll know she's likely to be broken.
>>
>>22199712
this, that is also why we are preceding it with normal questions
>>
[1/2]
“They sound like quite an annoying group to live with. Taking ten years to notice something like this. Not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.” you comment.

“You have no idea my dear.” The Laminian sighs, her aura of bright red glowing even more intense. Probably no from you, but rather of the Langy family.

“We have on our hands a mutual problem, that of the newly promoted Demon Knight visiting town. Quite an inconvenience I must say. It makes our life troublesome, and as much as I would like to killing him is not the solution, that will simply bring more suspicion on this town and more Knights.” you say.

“To one not familiar with the inner workings of the Pride Demon court perhaps. My plan from the very beginning was to assassinate him.” the Laminian calmly states while taking a bite out of a biscuit.

“...Assassinate a Pride Demon Knight? Wouldn’t that attract massive amounts of attention?” you ask.

“Pride Demons are a paradoxical sort. They’ll be sending up a Knight who has experience in tracking down infiltrators such as myself, but they’re often quite gullible in that they buy almost anything at face value. My original goal was to lure him out of the town, dispose of him, then continue sending false reports under his name back to Castle Langy.” Marina replies.

“...And they won’t catch on?” you ask, somewhat skeptical of this.

“Oh course they will. They’re fools but not idiots. But by the time they catch on it’ll be too late, as by then I will have successfully subverted the Langy noble family and also disposed of that cretin known as Langy. They will have assumed the Knight died in a trap in the coup, and while angry they’ll hopefully deem it as an acceptable loss.” Marina reaches for her tea again and takes a sip. “After that, the Fort will be mine.”
>>
>>22199816

[2/2]

“...And Lord Demon Articus won’t take notice?” you ask.

“Oh please! The Demon Lord’s pay no heed to the human politics that go on. So long as the current ruler of the city is ‘loyal’ to Articus, then he won’t care who’s in charge of the Fort.” Marina replies.

“I’m amazed that such a plan could actually work.” you reply.

“Of course it will. My mother was none other than one of Queen Lamia’s Vipers, a group of elite special operatives who specialize in wetwork operations such as these. While I am not as arrogant to claim that I surpass my mother, I will say that I am well suited for this task.” Marina says with a hint of Pride in her voice, her aura changing to a yellow colour.

“So you believe in the Succubi Queens?” you ask.

“Of course I do. Many Succubi believe in them as urban legends and myth, but I know they actually existed.” Marina replies.

“I sincerely apologize for asking this, but it is a necessary precaution before I proceed further. Are you independent? Are you bent or broken? Have you been broken before?" you ask.

Marina chokes on her as you ask this, her aura changing back into a bright red colour. “Of course not! I am no Aide! But I could ask the same thing of you in that case. A brand new Succubus strolling into town and picking me out? How sure can I be that you’re not merely an advance scout for the knight?”

humm... really tough to prove a negative. besides using a ritual to the daemon queens and have them vouch for us it will be hard, i think it is OK to trust her however should state that we are risking a lot by trusting her. If we reveal we should ask her to meet at another location and use a different disguise to avoid attention/being followed.

Could ask her to ask us questions and check our aura. One thing we can say is that if we were broken she would already been caught.
>>
>>22199820
Well, she's clean. Good.

"If I was an advance scout for the knight or otherwise broken I wouldn't be having tea with you. I already knew who you were, if I was broken I would either have attempted to kill you by now, or not met with you at all and given you up to the Knight when he came.

I only asked this because I had to be sure before I continued, when you hear what I have to say I am sure that you'll understand my caution.

Tell me Marina, what do you think of the current state of Succubi in the world? Where do you think the Queens are at this moment? If you had a chance to aid them and let them rise once more what would you do?"
>>
>>22199878
We don't know if she has Aura Sight or not, if she does she's already using it on us, and given that we're Okarian we're pretty easy to read. And if she was broken I don't think her emotions would look like they do right now.
>>

I’d either be trying to kill you or on my way back to the knight to report that I witnessed you feeding at the Lacrosse game from earlier today. Or I would’ve bided my time until the Knight came, then simply pointed you out.” you reply as you sip a cup of your tea.

“Hm... Indeed.” Marina says as she sips her tea, her aura turning into a dark blue colour.

“Apologies, but I had to do such a thing before we continued. When you hear what I have to say you’ll understand why I was being so cautious.” you say.

“I simply find it dreadful that such checks are often needed, but such is the way of life for our kind.” Marina says, her aura turning into a silver colour.

“Out of curiousity, what do you think of the current state of Succubi in the world Marina?” you ask.

“Absolutely deplorable. ‘Wild’ Succubi are currently seen as none other than malicious shapeshifters that do nothing but destabilize society, steal men from women, and consume the souls of the innocent. Everyone thinks that the broken state of mind is often ideal for Succubi, so that they can be obedient and malleable slaves. Worse yet, those poor souls who are broken often cannot even consider any other way of living. Every time I see a broken Succubus, I cannot help but feel pity for them.” Marina says, her silver colour around her aura growing more intense.

[2/2]
“And what are your current ambitions?” you ask her.

“I won’t lie to you and say that I want to take over this settlement merely because of power. Indeed that is only one reason. But one day... My dream is that I’d like to rule openly rather than hide behind all of these puppets I programmed back in Langy’s court for when I take over. But unfortunately, being a Laminian will not make one only question a sovereign as young as I, but have other question arise very rapidly when I do not age. Even if I did execute my plan, I could only rule for three or four years at most. After that I’d need to fake my death, let one of my puppets take the throne, then install myself as the child of one of the noble families. I’ve needed to fake the death of two of my identities, and it becomes quite a bother with all of the work involved.” You note that her aura seems to be bright red at the moment.

“So you don’t enjoy being a Laminian?” you ask.

“Oh... The stereotypes involving our clan are so deep seated that even other Succubi think they’re true. No, I do not enjoy being a Laminian. Ever since my mother gave me ‘the talk’ of when I was an actual teenager, explaining why I wasn’t growing up compared to all of my other accomplices. This is not an uncommon mindset amongst Laminian’s in general, envying those who are able to keep an adult body. But I suppose it could be worse in where I could be an Aide. Every time I utter that phrase to myself I count my blessings in that I am rather than what could be.” Marina says, her aura appearing to flux back and forth between a bright red and silver colour.

just droping by to say i really like this quest, i'm reading the part5 atm, i'll try to catch up for part 7.
>>
>>22200059

"well then. maybe you will find that our plans are mutually beneficial. While i have yet to draw up any true plans, you will probably find the end result a desirable one. Might i ask if you know Amanda, Erica and Leona?"

if she does ask if she knows why they might have an interest in becoming enlightened/demons, if not then gloss over the topic.
>>
>>22200059
"Trust me, everyone has a drawback. My, emotional problems are certainly no fun. On the plus side, I imagine your assassination of this knight will be much easier with me and my friends help."
>>
>>22200180

do you think that the queens will enjoy a pride demon knight snack? i must say the idea entirely slipped my mind...
>>
>>22200202

It's fair to assume that they most certainly would.
>>
>>22200059
"We all have our troubles.

I'll help you with the Knight by the way, neither of us want him here.

You said you wanted to rule openly. I can help you fulfill this, and over far more than just this Fort. Would you like to help me build a place where the Succubi are strong once again and no longer bent to someone else's will?

I know you must think I'm mad or crazy, but if I brought you an assurance that such a thing could be accomplished would you stand by my side and aid me in this?"
>>
she seems as good as it is going to get (hard to get more proof than we currently have).

we could maybe talk a little about our self to get more friendly with her. maybe how apparently our clan is very emotional and state this can get annoying. Also that suppression the emotions are almost as bad as experiencing the emotions from what we heard they dampen them till you have practically none and as a consequence with any emotional swing far worse than if non suppressed.
>>
>>22200215

well then, i shall get to planning our latest offering. i believe that it would be interesting if we didn't tell her about the queens, just showed her after sacrificing the demon knight...

will post plan once i have the concept nailed.
>>
will be funner when she learns our name is Brooklyn (i know we have a daemon name but we still go by that name)
>>
>>22200202
that would be fun.
>>
“No one is perfect Lady Marina. We all have our own little drawbacks. I for one find my irregular emotions to be quite bothersome at times.” you reply.

“So you’re an Okarian? Hm. I had you pinned for a Gemelli myself. In fact I was trying to see how long it’d take before you started to fidget without your partner.” Marina replies.

“Then maybe perhaps you will find our plans to be mutually beneficial to each other. Both of our plans seem to hinge on the aspect of putting the Demon Knight out of the picture.” You say taking a sip of tea.

“Quite. My skills are not nearly the level of my late mother, and even with this all planned out, taking out the Demon Knight has too many random variables. For instance, I do not know his strength compared to mine. That Mina girl who lives at the Adamant Door would be a good prospect to hire, but she’s as bright as a sack of hammers. Tell me, what assurances do you offer so that I know that you won’t be just dead weight for making the knight disappear?”
>>
>>22200325
"Well, for one I can bring the 'sack of hammers' to the table, as I got her out of an unwise promise recently. As for my own capabilities, I have a passable aura sight, decent light control and good darkness control. As well as knowledge of one or two obscure rituals that might prove useful."
>>
Mina is already with me. Did not bring her along as from what i heard she might have been annoying to you.

As for myself i can cast magic using light and darkness. Namely lasers and summoning shadow tendrils.

Also know a reaper but doubt he would want to participate as his kind have to be neutral in affairs.
>>
>>22200265
We have lots of names now. Sand, could you put a list of notable aliases we keep on our character sheet and what we use them for? It'd make keeping them straight easier.

>>22200247
It'd be interesting, it'd be dramatic as all hell. But if we're going to tell her we should probably do it sooner rather than later, it makes convincing her to go along with any plans easier and it will influence the plan somewhat since we're planning on offing him two hours away from town.

>>22200325
"I'm Okarian so I am rather adept at magic, specifically that of darkness and light. Mina lives under my roof now and we're quite friendly, while she is not the sharpest she is quite skilled at fighting and is loyal to me. I can also bring a Reaper along.

There is an addition to the plan that I insist on, there is a certain shrine about two hours from town. We must take him there and end his life there.

I could explain why but you would not believe me, but I can show you why it must be there. But I can't do that here, come with me to my place, there is something you ought to know if we're going to be working together."
>>
>>22200400

Good idea, I'll put an alias list in the sheet after this session.
>>
“Well for one, I am on friendly terms with that ‘sack of hammers’, and let me assure you she’s hits just as hard as one. In addition to her, I could also bring a Reaper that I’m on friendly terms with as well. As for myself...” you put down your tea and hold both of your hands up. In the right hand you begin to generate a small cloud of darkness while in the other simply shines softly. “As an Okarian I do have a good grasp of dark magic and suggestive powers, with a decent grasp of light and aura sight. In addition to two rituals that might be useful.”

“A Reaper? Interesting... But yes, those abilities should be sufficient so that you do not lag behind. Though I must admit I do sometimes worry due to how frail physically Okarians are at times, but so long as you have aether left I suppose that doesn’t matter.” Marina replies.

“Oh yes, I also have to ask that for my plan, I’d strongly prefer if we execute the Demon Knight at a shrine near the town. I could explain why, but chances are you wouldn’t believe me.” you say.

“My goodness, how stereotypically Okarian. The only thing you’re missing is the general lack of emotions. This my dear is where we’re going to have to disagree on. Mind you I don’t care about helping you out with your little ritual so long as you’re not sacrificing him to some vulgar god such as the Lovecraftian ones, but assuring that the Demon Knight will die is the *highest* priority. If he lives and manages to get a message back, then nearly ten years of planning from my end will go down the drain. I’ll be using my discretion of when to kill him if the situation becomes dire enough. Is that acceptable to you?”
>>
could throw in i don't blame you for miss categorizing me my ability are a bit eclectic.
>>
killing the knight at the shrine is sort of icing on the cake if you or I deem him too much of a threat or we can't swiftly incapacitate him then go ahead. I also don't want to take any chances.
>>
>>22200518
"Yes, that's fine. I definitely don't want him living, and I can always just wipe out another pirate base for the ritual instead."
>>
>>22200518
"Oh, it's not for a god.

I'm going to tell you something straight, this sacrifice is of much benefit to you as it is to me. It could be the start of you being able to rule openly as you so dearly wish.

If you come back to my place I can show you the reason. You would find out after visiting the shrine anyways."
>>
“That’s acceptable to me. Sacrificing the knight is more akin to icing on the cake, but if it becomes too dangerous then I’ll even assist you in executing him.” you reply.

“Perfect. With that then I shall meet you tomorrow to discuss plans further.” Marina says putting her tea down.

“Are you sure? I was going to invite you over to my place to explain some things in greater detail. Mainly why the Shrine is so important.” you say.

“My dear, I’ve seen enough Okarian religion pushers in my lifetime. I don’t care who you worship and don’t care why you think this shrine is so important to you. If you want to say why it’s so important to you, then say so here. As quite frankly I am a very busy woman. The Lacrosse game this morning was my last major feast before I begin to prepare for my plan of the Demon Knight, so my time is very limited.” Marina states, her aura being a lavender colour.
>>
>>22200628
"You won't believe me, and you completely ruined the dramatic impact.

The Eight Demon Queens are at the shrine. They have been there hidden and sealed for 352 years. I died there and they brought me back as a Succubus, I am planning on restoring them to strength and breaking the seal.

If you now want to come back to my place I can use a ritual so you can talk to Lamia, or any of the others if you'd prefer."
>>
>>22200628
"Oh, I don't sacrifice him for worship purposes."
>>
>>22200667
I thought we didn't want to tell her that yet. I sure don't anyway.
>>
>>22200683
She'll find out about the Queens the moment she sees the shrine. There's little point to keeping it concealed.
>>
>>22200689

Since there seems to be a little bit of debate on this, I'll wait for a bit to decide whenever or not you want to tell her about the shrine and queens
>>
>>22200628
It's not a religion. It's just that the succubi trapped in the shrine are quite hungry. They don't get many visitors.
>>
>>22200628
I don't think we should tell her what the shrine is, for no at least, because I really don't trust her.
>>22196249
for some reason brothen reaction make me feel like he's is the infiltrator, even if the reaction is really just because he was panicked since he didn't recognize us...or is it?
>>
>>22200795
The shrine has 8 statues who are pretty immediately recognizable to anyone who knows their succubi as the 8 queens. It's pretty obvious once you get there. There's no point in not telling her, if we tell her we will get more cooperation from her and she'll understand how important the sacrifice is. We don't tell her she'll find out soon enough anyways.

We're not going to be able to trust her any more than right now, she's told us her goals, we've seen her emotions, she's not broken and she definitely isn't going to fuck us over if she knows about the Queens, she might be tempted to screw us over if it benefits her if she doesn't know.

I've already voted though.
>>
telling her about demon queens shrine is fine to me
>>
Tell her. She'd find out sooner or later and she'd be more likely to help us if we tell the truth.
>>
>>22200795
She's a bitch, and I don't think she'd hesitate to screw us over, but she seems to really hate the pride demons and what they've done to succubi. I think she would help the queens but even if she stays out of it she wouldn't betray them like she would betray us if she didn't know.
>>
"very well. i shall leave you to your plans then. thank you for taking the time to talk with me."

i think that we should keep the demon queen thing as a surprise. just so we can see how she reacts to meeting Lamia.

“Well since you’ve completely ruined the dramatic impact I might as well tell you anyways. The eight Succubus Queen’s will be at the shrine I wish to sacrifice the knight upon. They’ve been hidden there for nearly 352 years. I originally died at the Shrine, and they brought me back to life as a Succubus. My goal is to somehow restore them back to full power and to break the prison they’re trapped in.” you say.

Marina’s aura begins to shift from light green to dark blue colours. “Did... Did you get hit in the head too many times as a child my dear?”

“I know it sounds crazy yes, but I can prove it if you want me to. I have a ritual that let’s me summon up an audience with any of the Succubus Queens.” you say.

Marina’s aura still continues the shifting colours, her look akin to one that you’d give a crazy person. “...I need an hour to tie up my own loose ends. Tell me the location of your house and summon either Queen Lamia or Queen Janine. If you are a madwoman and waste my time... Well let’s say that I’ll be quite displeased.”

“Very well. 241 Maplewood Street.” you say telling her your house number.

“Now let’s hope you won’t be wasting my time. Good day.” Marina says as he horns vanish back into her head.
>>
>>22201157

[2/2]

After taking a few more biscuits and finishing your tea, you head back to the market. The last ritual pretty much melted all of your candles, so you’ll need some new ones, in addition to some more incense. (-3 silver, -8 copper)

When you arrive back home, you notice that both Mina and Brodin are not at your house. You figure that they’re just having some fun around town and begin to prepare for the ritual. In the middle of drawing the spell circle, there is a knock on the door. As you walk over and open the door, you can see a small girl with red hair and dirty clothes standing in front of the door.

“Glad you could come.” you say, immediately recognizing who it might be.

“Let’s just get this over with.” Marina says entering your house, immediately shapechanging back into the form she had when you were at the teahouse from earlier.

“Careful of the circle.” you warn her.

“Yes yes, I know how protective you Okarians are of your spell circles.” Marina says hopping in the empty spaces of the spell circle before landing on your bed. “So which Queen are you going to summon for us?”
>>
>>22201163
"Lamia, it seems the most appropriate. And since we're we're summoning her anyways I figure we may as well ask for her input on the assassination plan, she's probably rather good at planning this sort of thing and will notice potential problems or complications we wouldn't have thought of.

I think that I'm going to get at least one 'I told you so' out of this."
>>
>>22201163
"Lamia."
Janine stole our intimate memories and then gave them to everyone. That's not very nice.
Lamia is easy for Marina to verify as being real rather than some elaborate illusion because they both know her mother and we don't.
Lamia also probably has better input to give on our sneaky plans.
>>
>>22201163

"well, since your mother was one of Queen Lamia's Vipers, it makes sense that you might want to meet her... that and i introduced Mina to Purple, so yeah. Time to start the show..."

>>22198873
Glad I could help.
>>22201163
"I think Lamia would be the most appropriate in this situation, don't you?"
>>
deff lamia
>>
[1/3]

“Lamia seems to be the most fitting. For one your mother used to be one of her Vipers and we could tell her the plan of the assassination. She probably has far more experience in this sort of thing, so she’ll be able to point out potential problems or complications that we haven’t considered.” you reply as you arrange the candles and start burning the incense.

“I’m still skeptical of this whole thing... If anything I should be back at the castle working on reprogramming that Anderson ninny.” Marina replies as she lies back on your bed, staring at the ceiling.

“Trust me, it’ll be worth your time.” you say beginning the ritual to summon Lamia. As with before, most of the time nothing seems to happen for the majority of the ritual, except for at the very end. The summon glows a blood red with all of the light except the candles being sucked into a dark vortex in the center of the room. A dark figure with green eyes this time can be seen crawling out of the center, the silhouette of large wings and horns making it unmistakable for a demon, but less in height than Oksana was. Marina covers her face with her sleeve during the entire ritual, only removing it when the light in the room has returned to normal.

In the middle of the summoning circle, Lamia can be seen in her light yellow sundress and short brown hair. “Hi there!” she happily exclaims, her spaded tail also wagging behind her.
>>
>>22201602

[2/2]

“You’re... actually Lamia? Demon Queen Lamia?” Marina asks, pointing at Lamia.

“Oh my god! It’s a real Oujo-sama!” Lamia says pointing back at Marina.

“E-Excuse me!?” Marina gasps.

“Yea! You don’t have blond hair, but you have the drills and everything! Oh! Tell, do you laugh like this!? Ohohoho!” Lamia does a bit of laughter with her hand to the side of her mouth.

You swear you can almost see the veins in Marina’s head pop out. “H-How dare you! I didn’t come here to get mocked by a some mere illusion! You can’t be the Demon Queen Lamia!”

“Last time I checked I was.” Lamia replies.

“No you can’t! My mother told me that Demon Queen Lamia was brash but calculative, a cunning to match the greatest of thieves, but a literal angel to those under her!” Marina says tightening her fist.

“Ah Flonette... She was a fun Viper to go out on the weekends with.” Lamia replies as if reminiscing.

The colour seems to drain from Marina’s face. “...Wait what... You and and my mother...”
>>
>>22201612

[3/3]

“Oh hell yea! Anytime we finished a high profile mission, we often went out and painted the town red! I remember one time in Vegas where we just got absolutely PLASTERED, and your mom was like ‘I bet I could steal that golden urn in the museum with only my FEET!’, and we were like, ‘Gah Flonette, you’re just going on with drunk ramblings’, but she was like, ‘Oh yea!? Watch me!’, and then she did it!” Lamia says recalling the story.

The expression on Marina’s face is so clear that the only thing missing is the loud cracking sound. “I-I’m never going to think my mother the same way ever again...”

“Well she was a Succubus too. If you want I can tell you the REALLY wild stuff! Want me to tell you how she first met your father?” Lamia suggests.

“...Please let me keep some dignity for my mother...” Marina whimpers.

As humorous as it is seeing Marina's worldview flip upside down, you wonder what questions you should be asking Lamia at the moment.
>>
Posted a bit early as I felt it was taking too long >>
>>
>>22201628
Yes well we can have some story time at some later date I guess, for now we do have some actual questions for you lamia.

then have marina explain the assassination plot and ask if there is anything else we should do in it
>>
>>22201628

"my apologies for interupting your fun, but i would like to request your opinion and advice on a plan for dealing with the Demon Knight. Marina has planned to lead him out of the city and assassinate him, and i thought that you all might enjoy his aether. Marina, would you care to explain your plan?"
>>
>>22201663
Go with this
>>
>>22201628
"Told you so. This is almost as much fun as the big reveal would have been.

Hey Lamia, good to see you again. We're going to be assassinating a Demon Knight who's coming to town and sacrificing it to the Queens, don't tell the others I want it to be a surprise present. I needed to convince our friend here that you girls were around and figured I'd ask for your advice as well. Marina can explain her plan and the situation better than I can so she'll explain everything once she composes herself."
>>
>>22201701

[1/2]

“Apologies for interrupting your fun, but we’d like you have your input on something. A Demon Knight is coming into town, and Marina here has hatched a plan to get rid of him. My main goal is to try and sacrifice him at the shrine itself as a gift to all of you, but I’d appreciate it if you didn’t tell the others in order to keep in a surprise.” you tell her before looking back at Marina. “...Or at least once she gets out of her midlife crisis.”

“Oh~! I’m always down for offing a Pride Knight! Tell me what the plan is!” Lamia says.

Marina remains stunned for a few moments, before she goes over her plan with Lamia. Mainly beginning with how she plans to lure him out the city, the ensuring battle with the knight, the return to the city with the fake reports, followed by the overthrow of the city.

“Oh my~! Your mother would be so proud of you!” Lamia remarks after hearing the plan.

“Thank you, I try to live up to her memory. ...Or whatever memory you didn’t piss all over.” Marina replies.
>>
>>22201946
“Well first off the *really* big hole in the plan is the actual battle itself. If you do it in the middle of the city, then make sure you leave no witnesses. I usually don’t like killing people just because they witnessed something they shouldn’t, but silencing them is your safest option.” Lamia replies.

“I know how to do memory alternations on people. I can easily make them forget anything they’ve seen.” Marina replies.

“Oh perfect! That’d work just fine!” Lamia adds. “But be careful writing those reports. I’d find a letter written by the knight so you can mimic his writing style. Remember to mention him always doing something positive, as oh boy do Pride Demons ever hate admitting that they’ve done something wrong!”

“Yes, getting a letter from the knight is one thing I need to do. Hopefully Langy has one himself, otherwise I’ll need to engage in the risky maneuver of intercepting a letter from him myself...”

(Anything else you wish to ask? In the meantime I think I'm going to take a small break for this now, hopefully I'll be back later tonight to wrap this part up on an interesting note.)
>>
>>22201956
does saying "the inflitrator is a cunning man/woman, and know how to hide his/her track well" count as admiting they did something wrong?
>>
>>22201956
Well we've never fought a demon before, we need basic tactics, how tough they are, etc. Don't want to get caught off guard. Although Mina might be better for that than Lamia really.
Maybe ask what we should do once the place is under succubutt control? That will probably be sneaky stuff. One town can't exactly take on the whole world.

“Just exactly how tough are Demon Knights? If we’re going up against one then it’d be a good to know know it’s rough strength.” you ask. “I doubt dropping a cinder block on its head would do it.”

“That’s akin to asking me when your opponent can vary between a human to someone like the Crimson Blade of the East. I’d need something to work with in order to give a better estimate.” Lamia replies.

“We don’t know much, but apparently he was promoted from a Squire just recently. This task he’s being sent on will be his first official duty as a Knight.” Marina says.

“Oh pfft! Yea he’s still definitely in the children’s spectum then! If anything this is even better, as since he’s so new he’ll be out to prove himself anyway he can! Think of it like a play of sorts! The more reason he has to find and cut down the ‘backstabbing and dishonorable Laminian’, then the closer he’ll be to the trail. If you do it right, he’ll have his face so close to the trail that he wouldn’t see the metaphorical hammer drop on top of his head!” Lamia states. “As for strength... Yea a cinder block would only serve to piss him off without doing any real damage. Take it up a step and knock an entire skyscraper building down on him and that’d put a big dent in him. I doubt it’d kill him though.”

“An entire *skyscraper*? Are you kidding?” you ask with your mouth slightly open.

[2/3]

“Demons be tough yo. If you want to make sure that he’s absolutely dead, then put some high explosives in the ruins and detonate them. That should be enough.” Lamia states. “Oh yes, it is VERY important to know of his abilities before you head into battle with him! Pride Demons are usually martial, but are fairly flexible when it comes to magic variety.”

“Yes, I had planned to watch him for a day before springing the trap. Since he’s being sent to find a magical infiltrator then it is a safe assumption in that he has Aura sight, but his other abilities will be largely unknown.” Marina says.

“You’re right on that end. Pride Demons are stereotypically portrayed as being all the same, but if you look at them on an individual scale then they can vary quite a bit. It will be fair game to assume that minus the shapeshifting and drain they could anything that a Succubus could reasonably learn. But be cautious of their social magic.” Lamia warns. “It’s more potent than their other magics. Their orders are sometimes tricky to ignore.”

“...So he can tell us to kill ourselves?” you ask.

“Na, at his level I doubt he can give you suicidal commands. But things like him telling you to attack an ally or kneel before him are certainly not out of the question. Secondly, you may assume that while he can be led around easily, do not make him for a fool. He will know of Succubi weaknesses or any other weakness, and may not hesitate to use it against you.” Lamia states.
>>
>>22207411

[3/4]

“I thought Pride Demons hated taking people hostage.” Marina asks.

“They do. If anything they prefer to beat their opponents in a straight up ‘duel of honor’, so they may brag about it later. However with you being a Laminian, he’ll be fully expecting you to cheat during such a duel.” Lamia replies.

“Good, as that’s exactly what I intend to do.” Marina replies.

“Ha ha, yea. I always find those stupid code of honor things more of a handicap. Playing to win using any means necessary always has been the Laminian way!” Lamia proudly states. “...Well except if it leads to mutually assured destruction or something equally as bad.”

“...Now I can see where that stereotype of us comes from.” Marina replies.

“What should we do once this place is under our control? Shouldn’t we worry about some sort of counterattack?” you ask.

“If Marina’s plan goes off and they think it’s a purely mortal conflict, then no. They’ll send a lacky to make the paperwork official, but that’d be a paper pusher on your side rather than something you’d need to worry about. But if they find out you’re Succubi... I’d need to ask Janette to be sure, but considering what I’ve heard of your town, then it’s a place with little strategic importance in the eyes of the Pride Demons. They may send a small demonic army your way with another Pride Demon Knight or two, but if you repel that then they’ll write off their losses and leave you be.” Lamia states.
>>
>>22207427

[4/4]

“...That’s it?” you ask, somewhat amazed it sounds that easy.

“No, that’s not it. With the hostile takeover route over, they’d move to set a blockade on us. If there is one thing Pride Demons excel at, it is bureaucratic manners. Fort Hope relies on outside trade to keep the people here supplied. If they cut off trade then it won’t be long until the internal supplies of the Fort run out completely.” Marina replies.

“Your friend has a point there. You need to think of other repercussions when doing this. When the Pride Demons write off a settlement, they will *completely* write it off. Any trade with a known Succubi controlled colony is probably illegal by the sounds of things. Granted there will be some traders who will break the law and do it anyways purely for monetary gain.” Lamia adds.

“Or we just use the over abundance of military personnel here to simply raid the surrounding areas to get our supplies.” Marina states.

“It will help with supplies yea, but the moment you attack another main city then you’ll most likely attract the attention of the regional Demon Lord, and he won’t stop until one side is exterminated.” Lamia states.

One of these days Looney Toons logic will work for me. One of these days...

"So... how are we going to kill the guy? From the way you two talk I assume there's a way that doesn't involve an exploding skyscraper"
>>
>>22207436
"All of this is good to know. Me and Mina probably need to learn some method of hiding our Auras thing for this. When we're fighting him we ought to be able to mitigate some of the social magic he can bring to the table with ear plugs.

I'd rather not have this place blockaded, it will make life annoying, so we'll have to be careful about that, but it ought to be doable.

Marina, you'll be spending a lot more time than the rest of us in proximity to him, so be careful and gather as much information on him and his capabilities as possible as well as keeping us informed of his movements. Mina will be of most use punching his face into a pulp when the times comes, and I'll support with information gathering and magic when the time comes. I'll have to ask Oksana about making magical traps so that when we lure him to the Shrine for the sacrifice/murder we can get a homefield advantage. I might be able to get Brodin in on this and he's a competent combatant being a Reaper, even though he's a lazy ass.

Now what would be the best way to get him to the shrine, we can't be too overt about it, he knows that we can Suggest things, so Suggesting for people to subtly inform him of the shrine might be a bit suspicious. I doubt he's powerful enough to track by Aura signatures so that isn't necessarily an option. We need to leave enough clues to point him in that direction. Word of the Snow Pirate base disappearing in that area and no bodies being found, one or two mentions of the Shrine in his presence, and so on might do it. Any better ideas?"
>>
>>22207436
Can you teach me how to mask my aura?
Also, how susceptible are demons to light lasers to their face? (or piercing tentacles).
>>
>>22207436
Also, we may want to see how effective are our tentacles on immobilizing demons.
Maybe practice on Mina and have her try and escape.
>>
>>22207825
You just want to bind Mina up with shadow tentacles and reenact your favorite hentai. I can't disagree with this plan of action.
>>
>>22207436
"I'd prefer the first sign the pride demons have of any trouble is you 9 knocking on the door to say hello. Failing that, I would at least prefer to have more than three Succubi and a single city on our side.

>>22207925

Sorry about that, company dropped by. Typing next part now. May be a little long.
>>
>>22207675
We could challenge him to an honorable duel. He might trust us because we're not Laminian and then we get to pick the place and time of the fight.
>>
>>22208610
but then he would probably send word to his superiors, or someone.
>>
>>22208714
And then in Mirina's first fake report she can brag about how she won the duel and killed the nasty succubus. What's the problem?
>>
[1/3]

“This is all very good information to know about. Mina and I would probably have to learn how to mask our auras.” you say.

“Masking your aura is part of the cloaking aspect of your innate magic. You *may* be able to learn it in time if you really work on it, but it’d be difficult. For Mina who’s a Belkarian then it may be too much for her.” Lamia says.

“Wait, you’re saying that trick where you hide or alter your aura is part of cloaking?” you ask.

“Oh yea! Cloaking is fairly varied like that. The higher level skills allow you do things like become intangible, phase through walls, or even teleport! Higher end abilities tend to bend the rules like that a fair bit.” Lamia states.

“Well I think that using something like earplugs would help us against his social magic power at the very least.” you say.

“Not being able to hear would be a pretty big disadvantage in itself.” Marina suggests.

“If you want to be absolutely careful, I’d stay away from the castle while the Pride Demon is inside. The Pride Demon won’t be his job until he properly introduces himself to the local Lord and probably had a small rest after his trip.” Lamia says. “If you stay in your house, then you should be fine. The first areas he’s going to look around is obviously the castle, the pubs, or other majorly crowded areas. One advantage you will have is that at first he won’t assume you’re Succubi. Most likely all he knows is that the infiltrator is a shapeshifter, which means it narrows it down to ‘only’ 50 kinds of demons.” Lamia states.
>>
>>22208738
the fact that when he turns out to have died right around the time of the duel they will put 2 and 2 together.
>>
>>22208861

[2/3]

“That’s what I’m counting on.” Marina replies.

“And on the subject of the blockade... I’d rather not have that come to pass. It’d make life for us that much harder.” you comment.

“Well you don’t need to think of it as a bad thing really. In fact we kinda expected a time for when people find out you’re a demon whenever it be you’re discovered or you announce it. If you want advice on handling political matters, then I suggest you talk to Janine. She an Ayarian, but I swear when it comes to political matters such as this then she’s a wizard. She’d probably be able to tell you exactly what kind of blockade to expect as well.” Lamia replies.

“Marina, you’ll be spending a lot more time than the rest of us in proximity to him, so be careful and gather as much information on him and his capabilities as possible in addition to keeping us informed of his movements.” you say.

“You don’t need to tell me that. However I cannot shake him forever. The day I wish to attack him, I’ll send you a warning in the morning. Once you get that warning, you’ll have until that night to finalize anything you have planned.” Marina replies.

“Mina will be able to hold her own in the fight and I can also ask Brodin the Reaper to join us as well, even though he’s a bit of a lazy drunk he’s a fairly good combatant. I’ll focus on providing any support or information I can, probably see what I can do by setting up some magical traps for the fight. Maybe Oksana will know a thing or two about it.” You say.

“Yyyeeeaaa... she does. I learned that the painful way many times.” Lamia replies.
>>
>>22208872

[3/3]

“As for getting him to the shrine... It seems we can’t be too overt about it. He probably knows that we can suggest things, so just suggesting people to subtly tell him of the shrine might be suspicious. I doubt he’s powerful enough to track us by our aura signatures so that really isn’t an option. But in the end we still need to leave enough clues to point him in that direction...” you pace back and forth as you go over the plan in your head. “Perhaps word of a snow pirate base disappearing with no bodies being found could do it. One or two suggestions the shrine as well?”

“NO! Do NOT tell him of the Shrine while he’s still in the city!” Lamia says. “He’d most likely send an official report before he’d head out, and if the higher ups know of the shrine then they will send someone to investigate it and... believe me that’d be a MASSIVE problem!”

“...I think a challenge letter would work rather well. Naturally if I tell him I’m a Laminian then that won’t work, but either you or Mina could work.” Marina tells you.

“Yea he’d definitely agree with that. He’d probably REALLY go for Mina since she’s a Belkarian. Even being Succubi, they’re known for having codes of honor. ...Even though that’s just people misunderstanding their promise flaw and Purple in general...” Lamia replies.

“Could you teach me to help mask my aura?” you ask Lamia.

“...Kinda tricky. Cloaking is something like something you feel, not really do.” Lamia says.

“I would if I had the time, but the best advice I can give you is just to picture the light passing through you. Once you learn that, then you can focus on the aspect of letting aether itself pass through you so you become one with unreality.” Marina states.

“I told that one to your mother!” Lamia says smiling.

(any more questions?)
>>
>>22208890
Tell us more about Marina's mother.

Perhaps Lamia has some additional advice for us on cloaking?
>>
>>22208869
They won't know when he died. Any what will 2+2 make? I don't see how it's any different from him dying going after the Laminian. In fact it's less suspicious because an Okarian or Belkarian would not be a sneaky power behind the throne like Marina's going to be.
>>
>>22209017
>what will 2+2 make
Nine!

Sorry, I had to.
>>
>>22208890
"Challenge letter from Mina it is. Lure him there, and then we all rip him apart.

Oh Marina, you might want to keep an eye on Leona, one of your 'sisters' or 'cousins', she's a follower of Illysia and she's got actual faith. So she might do something incredibly stupid when the Knight comes.

Hopefully the Knight doesn't interfere with my teaching job too much, I actually kinda like Brothen."
>>
>>22208890
>just to picture the light passing through you
wait, we have light control magic.
Can't we experiment with that using our magic?
We could probably discover invisibility spell like that.
>>
“Challenge letter from Mina it is. Tell us when you want Mina to write the letter, then after that we’ll lure him all there and rip him apart.” you say.

“Very well. I am good at impersonating the higher class of society. Attempting to think like that girl does will only serve to give me headaches.” Mina replies.

“Oh and Marina, keep an eye on your ‘cousin’ Leona. I found out she’s with the Church of Illysia, and I fear that she may be doing something stupid.” you ask.

“I’m not sure why you’d want to go out of a way for a mortal, especially one with the the church.” Marina asks.

“Please? It’s important for some long term plans of mine.” you clarify.

“Fine fine I’ll do it.” Marina replies as if you’re nagging her.

“If she’s with the church, then the only thing she’d probably be doing is hiding under her bed until the knight leaves.” Lamia replies.

“I hope that the knight doesn’t interfere with my teaching job. I actually like teaching Brothen.” you comment.

“Na! I’m sure you’ll be fine so long as you don’t teach in the area he’s investigating!” Lamia says.

“...Actually...” you say.

“...Oh. Fake being sick. Claim you’re on your period, and you don’t know what do since it’s your first time and all that crap.” Lamia suggests.

(anything else?)
>>
should ask Mina and Brodin to make sure they are ok with participating after all we should not make assumptions before execution of our plan.

IT would be best to have someone spy on the knight because he might send a report back of challenging a Belkarian. As soon as the carrier leaves intercept the message. That way we can spin it however we want.rather than modifying it.

would be hard to set up but if he was ambushed by pirates (set up by us without them knowing) we can see his combat style in action. As he will likely show off his curve stomping of them.

these are hypotheticals.
>>
>>22209369
>Claim you’re on your period
Worst idea. That noble lady will come round to help. She will barge into our house and do things to parts we don't want things done to. And then discover we're lying. But yeah, we can be normal sick. Or work out the aura hiding in time because we're just that awesome.
>>
>>22209369
"That'll probably do it.

I can't think of anything else important to cover, I'll let Mina and Brodin know what's going on when they get back.

One last thing, it isn't a big rush though. Marina, you've got access to a rather nice library in the castle, could you sneak books out of it for me? There's only so much I can learn from the books I have access to."
>>
>>22209449
easily covered up via suggestion most likely. problematic if she lets everyone know however.

actually is their a way to mess with OTHER people auras. Not usefully now but maybe usefully later as you can start throwing out misinformation as hell.
>>
>>22209456
Sneaking books out seems an unnecessary risk. We don't need anything urgently and once she's taken over the town she can just give us a platinum library card or whatever.
>>
A better idea would be to set up an off-site classroom. Maybe a scale model of one of the battles you've been teaching him. It'd take a bit of time to setup though.
>>
Nightmarish thoughts flow through your head on how if you said that you were sick due to a period, Mary-Anne would come. Never mind the Demon Knight. You’re more frightened by what she can do.

“I-I’ll think of something.” you say to Lamia. “But besides that I can’t think of anything else to add.” You then look up at the clock, seeing it’s about 6:30 PM. “I probably need to get going soon anyways. I’ve got dinner with someone.”

“Ooohhh~! Is it another date!?” Lamia asks.

“No, it’s a thank you dinner from a merchant whose life I saved.” you comment.

“Oh fooey, that’s hardly gossip worthy.” Lamia pouts.

“And I shall depart back to the castle. I’ve got my own work to do.” Marina says as she gets up, shapeshifting back into her street urchin persona.

“See you later Oujo-sama!” Lamia says waving her off.

Marina simply shudders as she hears that, then leaves without saying a word.

“...Is your hobby pissing people off?” you ask Marina.

“I prefer to call it trolling. Anywho, don’t forget to come by the Shrine tonight. We’ve got something very important to tell you there.” Lamia says.

“Oksana tell you about it?” you ask.

“Yea. We talked about it and believe me, it ain’t good. But talking about something like that here without the other Queen’s isn’t a good thing to do. Anywho, see you at the Shrine!” Lamia waves before she vanishes into thin air.

You flop back on your bed, still unused to the slight jiggle on your chest as you flop back. You have your dinner at 8:00 PM with that Elgar merchant. but you may be able to do something before then if you wanted.
>>
Alright I’ll say this now as I’m not sure whenever or not I’d be able to get to this point tonight with all the company coming in and out (Reason why this part took so damn long despite being so short). What I planned for when you meet up with the Queen’s was that one of them would personally know the details involving the KING OF DESPAIR, and the story would basically be a flashback where you get to play as one of them. You guys get to vote on which Queen you’d like to play as during the flashback. This would be a good time to experience briefly what another clan plays like in full power. So you can vote on which one you’d like to be now
>>

THE PLOT THICKENS.

With the amount of time that you have left, you think it’s best used to try and learn how to become invisible. Unfortunately, Lamia’s and Marina’s advice in itself is cryptic in the practical sense. At first you try forcing it, but the only thing that happens when you do is that your ass grows nearly several larger.

You then try another approach. Meditation. You sit down in the middle of the spell circle and begin to meditate on what they meant. Rather than trying to resist the unseen aether around you, let it pass through you.

But this still doesn’t get you anywhere you feel. You then conclude that you’re basically trying to run before you can learn how to walk. Lamia said that turning invisible was only the first step for cloaking. Once you learn how to render yourself unseen by the human eye, then perhaps you’d be able to figure how to alter your aura then? Realizing this you redouble your efforts.

After about 20 minutes, it feels as if you’re beginning to accomplish something. You can almost feel as if the aether composing the world is moving through you, rather than around you. You feel as if you’re about to hit a breakth-

DING! DONG! DING! DONG!

...If it wasn’t for the fact that you had to leave to go you dinner now.

“Damnit... I feel as if I was onto something too...” you mutter as you change into your Miranda persona and head out to meet Elgar.
>>
>>22213290

[2/3]

You head out to see if you can Elgar at The Atlus. The Atlas is an... interesting restaurant persay. It claims to have dishes from all over the world, learned by a small group of adventurers who claimed they have been all over the world before. As indicated by the large sign of the Earth’s pieces hanging over their door. The Atlas’s innocent brick exterior belies what is on the inside, for as soon as you enter it’s almost as if you’re attacked by all of the vibrant decorations inside of the restaurant. Every section of the restaurant has it’s own ‘theme’. From America, Britain, China, Japan, Africa, South America, USA, and your home of Canada. The food is as equally as diverse, as no other restaurant in town can match the Atlas for sheer variety. It is quite a popular establishment for both the low class peasant families and the upper class noble families.

“Ah Miranda! So glad that you could join us!” Elgar says coming up to you, the fairly short man reaching up to give you a hug.

“Well I could hardly resist an invitation from the person whose life I saved.” you say returning the hug, more in a friendly greeting rather than a romantic one. As you hug him, a sweet spicy taste can be felt. You’re certain it’s not just from the food at the restaurant.
>>
>>22213297

[3/3]

“Oh nonsense! Tis the least I could do!” Elgar says as he pulls away from the hug. “Oh yes, Miranda allow me to introduce you to my two daughters. Katelin and Stacey.”

You look over to see the two girls, both of them appearing as if they were identical twins. Both of them have soft brown hair that goes down to about their neck and both of them are in modest button up dresses, most likely something Elgar bought since the girls probably didn’t have any decent clothes left over. Both of them have soft brown eyes, but you don’t need aura sight to see that they’re still full of fear from the traumatic experience they’ve just been through.

“T-Thank you for saving us from that... that... M-monster Miss Miranda. If you didn’t come when you did, then we’d... we’d...” one of the girls (you’re not sure which one) begins shudder, as if recalling some of the horrible events that monster must’ve done to them.

You wonder what words you can say to them in order to help calm them down or at least make them feel a bit better.
>>
>>22213301
Approach the girls, give them a comforting hug.

"Stacey, Katelin, you can not spend your life worrying about what could have been, or what may have happened. That only leads to regret and pain.

You are safe now, you are with your father who loves you, all of those who hurt you are dead. There is nothing to be afraid of anymore. You're far stronger than you think you are, you can get past this and live your lives with this being nothing more than an unpleasant memory.

Now calm yourself child, nothing will hurt you while I am here, enjoy the dinner."
>>
>>22213355

seconding this
>>
>>22213355
I like this, it is a good thing.
>>
[1/2]
You approach the girls slowly, before wrapping your arms around them, giving them a gentle and comforting hug. “Stacy, Katelin. You can not spend your life worrying about what may have been or what could’ve happened. That way leads to only more sorrow and pain. Take solace in the fact that you’re both safe now. In the company of a father who loves you and I who would be willing to protect you again. Those who have mistreated you so are no more, you can take solace in that. Both of you are stronger than you think you are, and with the long lives ahead of you this event shall be nothing more than an unpleasant memory. Now let’s all relax a bit so we can enjoy our dinner, hm?”

The girls are somewhat shocked at your bold maneuver at first, but eventually they seem to melt within your hug, returning the embrace back to you. “Y-yes Miss Miranda... We understand...” Realizing your Aura sight is off, you turn it on to see that both of the girls auras are a shifting and blended mix of Deep Red (Love) and Violet (Happiness).

“Elegantly put my dear, elegantly put!” Elgar says patting you on the back. “Well let’s not waste time dawdling around the entrance hm?”

“Oh but of course sir Elgar!” you reply as you follow him into the restaurant.
>>
>>22213609

[2/2]

It doesn’t take long to find a seat. Elgar, being the gentleman he is, pulls out a chair for you and his daughters before sitting down himself.

“Miranda, I must say that I cannot thank you enough. As soon as my daughters were safe, I hired the Swooping Hawks to go in and retrieve the stolen goods. You were right in that some of the items were looted, but I managed to get enough back so that even with my losses, I’m still able break even at the very least. Considering that one trip often makes or breaks family merchant lines such as ourselves, you have no idea how grateful I am. Once again I feel as if I’m indebted to you.”

“Oh Sir Elgar, you flatter me. I was merely doing my job.” you innocently try to brush aside.

“Well earned flattery if I say so myself!” Elgar replies, his aura being a Vermillion colour. “So why don’t you tell me a little about yourself Miranda? I imagine that hunting Snow Pirates and rescuing people like myself isn’t something you do every day!”

(Also what you wish to order from the menu. Just about anything exists)

I know that the thing we'd most like to eat would be Stacy and Katelin, but we probably shouldn't do that in public at the dinner table. Maybe some lamb stew, fresh bread, and a nice red wine to go along with it.

"It's not something I do everyday, but I do take the opportunities to help others when I get a chance.

I learned to fight out of necessity, it is a needed skill in this world. I can handle myself rather well should the situation call for it.

Though combat it is more a means to the end than a pursuit in and of itself. I travel occasionally, with companions should I find them, and read quite a bit."
>>
>>22213690
I second this, it's a nice cover story as long as we can remember it for 'Miranda'
>>
>>22213783
Yeah, I made sure it had an element of truth in it, we have a much easier time trying to look like a scholar of some kind than we do faking being anything else. So pretty much all of our identities will have scholar as part of them as we it feels authentic and real. We would have a difficult time passing ourself off as a warrior as we're not that good with an axe and we don't know enough merchant stuff to fake that. And for most of our identities, our coven one is an exception, we don't bring up magic.
>>
“It’s not something I do everyday, but I do take the opportunity to help others whenever I have the chance. As for my martial prowess... It’s something of a necessity in these dark times I find. I can handle myself rather adaqutely when the situation itself calls for it. But physical conflict is only a means to an end in of itself. I do find myself travelling occasionally. along with any companions should I find them. I do tend to enjoy reading about various tidbits of the world.” you say as you look over the menu, before turning to the waitresses. “I’ll have some Lamb Stew with a slice of bed and red wine, if you may.”

“Yes, as a merchant I know that all too well. Protection fees are often outrageously expensive, but if you skimp on them then you take a gamble that is often far too large for my comfort level. Even that isn’t enough at times as you found out beforehand...” Elgar mutters before turning to the waitress. “A rack of ribs with a salad and some red wine too.”

“Father, your heart.” one of the twins warns.

“Oh fine oh fine... A fresh bit of juice. Surprise me with the kind.” Elgar’s attention goes back to you. “Well my dear if you ever wish to travel, then you’re free to contact me. I stop at this Fort about once every two months. Best place to find liquid water and soap in probably the entire region. ...Out of curiousity, what is the name of the mercenary group you hired back at the Pirate Base? From the sounds of it they were remarkably well equipped, and I’d be very interested in asking them for a contract if they’re available.”

(Also mention anything you want to ask Elgar as well)
>>
>>22213916
"Sadly they're not. It's less of a mercenary group and closer to some martially inclined friends of mine who were stopping here for a short while before moving on. Lovely people though.

So, Elgar, what route do you usually travel? Are metal items your usual stock and trade?"

Also try to include the twins in the conversation, get them to talk about themselves, find a good way to tell the two of them apart, make sure they're doing okay, stay warm and comforting towards them and if there's a good chance we can hold they're hands under the table. I do kind of want to see if we can subtly seduce the twins, because they're twins, we've been a succubus for a decent bit without getting laid, sleeping with a man will probably kill them, and they're nice girls.

going to have to think hard about what mercenary company we are going to say we are from as he will be looking into it. could say we work freelance with another but then he would probably want to hire us, maybe usefully later (like going to Chicago to look for body) but not right now.

will be suspicious if we go the freelance rout but could say we can use magic (not sure if some can use magic without pacts, or if people know enough to call us out rather than be it is just magic.)

no sure how people want to proceed. just throwing my two cents out there.
>>
>>22214051
we are likely better than the majority of mortal mercs even without magic
>>
>>22214051
As far as most people know, I think, only Demons and those who have made a deal with a Demon can use magic. There are others who can and other supernatural creatures other than demons. But mortals who can use magic are rare and I think they can only do ritual magic, but I could be wrong, and we probably shouldn't say we're supernatural.
>>
>>22214102

Mortals who can use magic who are not demons and have not made a contract exist. They're just incredibly rare. Like one in a thousand at the very least.
>>
>>22214136
What's the population size of Fort Hope?
>>
>>22214156

Roughly a thousand permanent residents.

I may be grossly overshooting this number as I have little idea what population figures for towns were in the middle ages, but this figure seems close enough.
>>
>>22214136
Okay. I'm assuming that this is something not outside of common knowledge.

If it's something not generally considered evil, I think we could tell him but ask him to not spread it around. It makes explaining how we took out the camp easier as he might be suspicious if we can't produce any mercenaries involved, but if we say we used a bit of magic he'll believe that it was just a few friends.
>>
“Regrettably they’re not for hire. They’re an adventurer group I met a while back, friends of mine. They passing through the area and decided to help me with an errand of mine in the ruins itself. Lovely people though.” you comment.

“...Oh! You mean that woman with brown skin and in eastern clothing and the other dressed up in leather armor with brown hair?” One of the twins replies.

...Shit. Those two girls were next to the fat bastard Pirate Leader when you first met them, weren’t they?

“Oh yea, now I remember them! I had an odd feeling about those two! It seemed like they had a plan and everything!” the other replies.

“Even though they were tied up, I bet they had a plan just in case that went wrong as well.”

(Response? I’ll ask Elgar about what he sells after)
>>
>>22214306
We also may have used a teensy bit of, you know...
Magic, but I'd like it if you didn't spread it around
>>
>>22214306

"yes, though there was no real plan, it's just snow pirates don't see us girls as real threats, that is why we were able to defeat them"
>>
>>22214306
Well, hopefully they don't see Brooklyn and Mina, they aren't in town that often so it's not a big worry.

"That's two of them, I'll convey your regards when next I see them.

Bandits tend to be a pretty simple lot. It was easy enough to lure them to a place of our choosing if their leadership dies they scatter and are fearful, the rest is just mopping up. It's rather routine, and a touch of magic makes it even easier.

You've both got sharp eyes, smarter than the rest of the bandits I must say. People tend to underestimate women, learn to make them regret that."
>>
could say that they have been in worst situations. One excuse we could give is that they lured the pirates outside of the base using their greed and got them to accidentally attack a rival gang and slip away in the confusion. (not sure if they will buy it but best i can think of right now)
>>
>>22213297
>the Atlas
It's a shame Brooklyn doesn't even know that the coordinates are coordinates. The Atlas probably has an atlas (or at least a map posted on the walls).
>>
>>22214660
We might be able to work it out. We've got Good in Math and Old World History and Average in Geography. Hell it even said N and W, we take a look at a globe we might work it out.
>>
[1/2]
“That’s two of them. I’ll convey your regards the next time I see them.” you say to the twins. “”Bandits are a fairly simple lot. It was a trival matter to lure them into a place of our choosing, and when their leader dies the rest scatter like frightened rodents. From then on it was simply a mop up routine for them, nothing out of the ordinary. You two have got sharp eyes, and the brains between your two burn brighter than all of the bandits at that camp combined. People do often tend to underestimate women, and when that happens you’ve got to make them learn to regret that.”

The twins seems somwhat memorized by your tale and advice, their auras glowing a yellow colour. “Y-yes.... Of course Madam Miranda...”

“And by god, you two are the spitting image of each other. I hope you are not offended when I ask which one of you is which.” you ask.

“Oh don’t worry! Father often gets confused himself at times!” one of the twins laughs.

“Now now. I stopped making that mistake four years ago.” Elgar replies.

“We usually try to wear different coloured clothes to help distinguish ourselves. My name is Katlin. My interests are mainly business and book keeping. Like you, I’m a rather avid reader myself.” The twin closest to you replies.

“My name is Stacy. My pursuits a bit more physical than that of my sister. I like to practice with the Lance and enjoy going on trips through the forest.” the other twin sitting on the opposite side of the table says.
>>
>>22214803

[2/2]

“What lovely hobbies. I’m sure both of you are a great asset to your father in his travels.” you reply.

“Oh believe me, they’re my guardian angels, with you being the third one. No offense I hope.” Elgar says raising the juice in a wine glass that is just put in front of him. His aura still a Vermillion colour.

You give a laugh yourself as you raise your own wine glass that was just put in front of you. “None taken my dear, none taken.”

You all take a sip of your drinks from the toast. “So Elgar, which route do you usually travel? Do you specialize in any sort of goods specifically?”

“My route is a fairly simple one. Fort Hope is usually my last stop after a rather small distance. Our home is actually in New TO. We often gather some supplies up here that are somewhat trickier to come by down there, such as animal furs, salted fish, or the occasional old world trinket. In response, I often come up to Fort Hope with most weapons to sell to the mercenaries and then some other metal supplies as demand requires. I also often give Mercenaries from Fort Hope supplies from the caravan for a small reduction in price. It works out rather well for both parties.” Elgar replies.

“New TO is quite the distance from here.” you reply.

“Yes it’s a fair ways, but you often must make the journey quickly or else the snow will bury you. Believe me, bandits and wild animals are often the least of my worries when I’m on the road, though after what we went through recently I may have to hold them to a higher threat level...” Elgar says as if he’s thinking.
>>
>>22214810
What do we know about New TO and about how far away is it?

"They do make good guardian angels, they even look the part, the world would be a darker place without them. You are a lucky man to be blessed by your two daughters. Their mother must have been an amazing person, you have my condolences.

This may be a longshot, but you wouldn't happen to have in your possession any rare books, the library here is nice but it is lacking in certain subjects that interest me.

I hope the snows treat you well on your return journey, when are you planning on leaving?"
>>
>>22214803

just a thought for the hivemind, but i get the impression that Katlin and Stacy would make excellent Gemelli succubus'... just a thought.

>>22214942

i agree with this course of action
>>
>>22215103
They would, I hadn't thought of that, good idea. Now we aren't anywhere near being able to turn anyone into a Succubus, we'll need to bring the Queens a lot more Aether and sacrifices, but we have time.

For now we foster their love and respect of us, sleeping with them is definitely not out of the question, and hopefully when they come back in a couple months we can turn them.
>>
You know that New TO is basically built upon the ruins of an old world city called, “Toronto”. It was a major metropolitan area back in the old world, and despite taking heavy damage in The Scouring it still houses quite a few people amidst it’s old world ruins. As for distance... You’re not actually sure off the top of your head. But you definitely recall it being a rather long journey. You went there once when you were young as part of your training. It was a rather interesting experience.

“They do indeed make excellent guardian angels. They even look to be the part right now. You are indeed a lucky man to be blessed with such daughters. Their mother must’ve been an amazing person. You have my condolences.” you say apologetically.

Elgar’s aura turns silver for a moment. “Yes well... All one can do is move forward in live no?” It then quickly shifts back to it’s vermillion colour. “While we do miss her, we’ve all accepted her loss and have forged ahead.”

“This may be a bit of a longshot, but you don’t perchance have any rare books in your possession? The library here is nice, but sorely lacking in certain subjects that interest me.” you reply.

“On hand at the moment? No. Even if I had any, those barbarians probably would’ve burned them. But I’d be more than happy to see if I can track down any sort of rare book in a field you desire! New TO has many things in it, one of which is books.” Elgar then leans in a bit closer, you leaning in as well. “Including quite a few things that would upset the Demon folk if they knew about their existences.”

(Basically pick a book topic and Elgar will try his best to find it. Consider it heavily discounted as thanks for saving his life)
>>
How about anything that goes into magic or rituals. It'd be nice not to have to depend on the Queen's for every advance we make in our magical studies.
>>
This seems like an opportune moment to relay my idea I had before.

Our light powers? We can get a fancy old world gadget with some buttons and then click them as we use magic to fool humans into thinking its the gadget not us

hell it might even fool demons if we hide our aether until we pull out the gadjet and start pressing things on it
>>
>>22215201

>>
>>22215158
"Magic, especially anything to do with ritual magic. It is a matter of great interest to me.

Of course it's not like I can use magic myself, people who can cast without a pact with a Demon are extremely rare and potent, able to do great feats like wiping out bandits without breaking a sweat. Me casting magic is a silly idea and not even worth considering."

(To make things easier, I'll post what one colour aura emotions mean. Like Bright Red (Anger) for example)
“I’d say anything involving the occult would greatly interest me. Particularly any sort of working ritual magic you can get your hands on.” you tell him.

“Oho~. Interesting request, but I think it’s certainly within my abilities to get something like that.” Elgar replies, but pulls away as your food arrives at the table. “But for now, we feast!”

“Indeed, let us partake in a dinner, to the celebration of all of our good health.” You say raising your glass.

“Cheers!” everyone at the table says also raising their glass in a toast.

As you eat your dinner, you notice that both of the twin’s auras have shifted into a Deep Blue colour (???). What is more surprising however, is that during the meal you feel a hand crawl up on your lap. It takes you a second to realize that it’s Katlin, who is currently blushing as red as a beat, aura fluxating between Bright Green and Deep Blue. Stacy’s seems to know what is going on somehow, as you can tell she’s hiding a somewhat sour expression rather poorly and pulsing with a Dark Green aura (???).

Okay Dark Blue is different from Deep Blue, Dark Blue is suspicion but Deep Blue has something to do with their attention towards us, might be lust but I'm not sure why Marina had it at the Lacrosse game a while back. The
Bright Green is obsession, I'm not sure what Dark Green is but it probably jealousy or something like that.

Return the favor, keep one hand eating and drinking to avoid too much suspicion, use the other to guide Kaitlin's hand further, and play footsie with Stacy while looking at her at smiling. Keep up normal conversation otherwise.

[1/2]

A small and gentle smile spreads across your face as you feel Katlin’s hand on the top of your lap. Luckily you’re eating stew, so you only really need one hand to eat. The other hand of yours goes on top of Katlin’s own and gently squeeze it. She jumps slightly at first, but then returns the grasp rather tightly. It is then you move her hand closer in your thighs, adjusting yourself in your seat so that she’s able to get a good ways inside of them. Katlin’s aura is at first an Orange colour (Fear/Surprise) while her face turns as red as a beat. But after a few seconds her hand slowly starts to creep towards your inner thighs, aura fluxing between Bright Red and Pink.

You likewise return the favor to her. Your own hand running over her own thigh. She too adjusts her dress, giving you enough slack so that your hand is able to reach her own thighs as well. Her aura seems to glow even more intensely.

“...Katlin my dear, you seem rather flushed. Are you feeling unwell?” Elgar asks.

“N-No Father. I’m fine. J-just glad to be in friendly company once again is all.” Katlin replies.

As soon as Stacy hears this, her aura begins to pulse in a Dark Green colour (???).

Deciding to fix this, you first shapeshift your right foot so that it’s several sizes too small for your boot, easily allowing you let you slip it out, before you move your foot over to her dress and begin to stroke the side of her legs. Her aura quickly turns into a shifting purple (???) and orange (Fear/Surprise) colour, before she quickly realizes that it’s you and her aura changes into a shifting mass of Violet (Excitement), Deep Red (Lust), and Bright Blue (???). She begins to blush as bright as her sister and begins to smile.
>>
>>22215677

[2/3]

“So Sir ELgar...” you gasp as Katlin seems to tightly grasp the inside of your thigh, as if toying with you to see a reaction. She’s either far more agressive or far more playful that you originally expected. “...Just how long are you staying in town?” You give Katlin back some of her own medicine, doing a tight squeeze on her own soft thigh. She bites down hard on her piece of bread to avoid moaning.

“Oh not long I’m afraid. We’re spending one more day to recover ourselves before we make a beeline back to New TO. It should be possible using my connections to get a discounted cost for the mercenaires for an emergency trip.” Elgar replies.

“Oh, that’s too bad...” you seem to lament. You give a wicked smile as you sip your wine, one that only Katlin can see as your hand moves even closer to in between her legs. You can see her biting her lip in order to stop herself from making any sort of noise.

“...Katlin my dear. If you’re feeling ill then you shouldn’t push yourself to be here. I’m sure Miss Miranda would understand completely if you left due to all you’ve been through.” Elgar says to his daughter, his aura glowing into a dark blue (suspicion) colour.

“N-No. It’s fine father. I want to be here. I’ll be f-fine...” Katlin replies. You’re actually quite impressed, since you stroked her leg a bit more aggressively when she said that.
>>
>>22215689

[3/3]

“Very well, but don’t push yourself.” Elgar warns his daughter before his aura shifts back into a Vermillion (Happy) colour.

After a rather entertaining and delightful meal, all of you finish your respect meals. The girls themselves seem somewhat disappointed when they need to get back up from their seats.

“U-Um... Father... Would it be alright if Katlin and I went out to visit Miranda tomorrow?” Stacy asks as you put on your coat.

Elgar simply chuckles. “Provided you're not a bother to the woman, I don’t see why not!”

Everyone’s eyes seem to dart to you as if seeking some sort of approval.

Fret not, unlike those ruffians you were with before, I know how to treat a lady.”

Both of the girls seem to blush heavily at your words. Even though your aura sight is off, you can almost taste their nervous anticipation.

You then pull away from the hug, reaching down to give Elgar a small hug as well. “Thank you very much for the Dinner Sir Elgar, it was most lovely.”

“Of course! Anytime! If we ever happen to cross paths again, then remind me to treat you to dinner once again!” Elgar replies.

“But of course.” you reply.

Elgar gives a large yawn. “But for now, we must retire. It has been a very long and stressful day for our family. Come along girls, you need to rest to recover your strength. You’ll be seeing Miss Miranda tomorrow.”

“Have a good evening Miss Miranda.” the twins say, both of them doing a small curtsy before they leave. Even as they do leave, both of them look back over their shoulder to give you a look one last time. You respond by giving a smile back to their flushed faces.

Well, it seems that’s enough fun and games of seducing the merchant’s daughters. Now you’ve got to find Mina and then head over to the Queen’s Shrine for that talk they wanted to have with you earlier...
