Welcome to a brand new edition of Succubus Quest! Succubus Quest Part 4, girly things edition! Last time on Succubi Quest we learned a bit from the Reaper, known an Brodin, about the various afterlifes and that Heaven has really expensive bars. After that we went on a trip to the bathhouse to clean up, get a date for the night, and did our small part to help corrupt the noble youth in the city into a demonic cult. Lastly, we managed to meet up with Mina, who was a Succubus who accidently bound herself in a contract with the Bartender at the Adamant Door pub. After freeing her, there followed a long Q&A session about her personal experiences as a Succubus.

And now after a small break, we’re back in action! Continued from were we last left off!

You recoil a bit as the machines of the Science Lord’s break through the gates of Fort Hope, monstrous machines made of metal and powered by Old World technology.

“Milord! The Science Lord’s Mechanoid unit has broken through our main defense wall as is currently heading towards the castle!” one of your soldiers says as you watch the machine break through the gate. It’s creaking movements sound almost as if it’s roaring before it’s head mounted Army-Obliteration-Beam activates, firing deadly rays of light and SCIENCE! down on the soldiers below.

As the current Demon Lord of Fort Hope, you cannot possibly let something like this stand! You cannot let the Science Lords go around doing things like this as they please!
>>
>>22112107
Well if they throw Science at us we shall respond properly. Let them know the taste of our MAGIC and flank them with our endless hordes of disposable soldiers.
>>
>>22112107
Rally the troops and use our MAGIC to obliterate!
>>
>>22112107

Huh? Hey, when did this happen?!

Uh, lets see if we can't enchant the hell out of our troops and give them the edge while set up for something big.
>>
>>22112107
oh! Use Black Whole with Light magic trick from the last thread. lets cause super singularity explosion thng.
>>
>>22112242
Prophetic vision of a possible future brought on by eating something funny Mina gave us is my bet.
>>
>>22112316
alternatively since op isn't using a trip, it's a troll here to confuse us all
>>
>>22112107
Use darkness magic to increase gravity on the mechanoid until it collapses under it's own weight.
>>
>>22112348

I assure you this isn't a troll, but it may seem like it yes. What Brooklyn is seeing in front of his eyes is indeed real.
>>
>>22112107
deadly rays of light you say?

lets take advantage of that, amplify and reflect them back on the science lords own army.

“Get the troops in line, I’ll do my best to try and do some defensive spells! Get the pitfalls for the moment I begin my ultimate technique!” you tell the guard captain.

“At once milord!” the Captain runs back out to the field, issuing orders to his troops.

The massive mechanoid monster rears it’s head back again, charging it’s massive laser before it blasts it down on the crowd below.

“YOU’VE ACTIVATED MY TRAP MAGIC!” you declare as you hold your hands out, using your light magic to disperse most and absorb some of the beam. The split off fragments of the beam split off all over the town, causing explosions all over the town but vastly increasing your aetheric reserves.

The machine stops firing its laser, seeing the pointlessness of it. It begins to advance towards you, but only to fall into one of the massive holes made by your soldiers in advance of the attack.

You hold your hands above your head, generating a small singularity. “NOW! BLACK HOLE CLUSTER!” you say throwing the black hole at the mechanoid monster.

The black hole warps time and space as it speeds towards the mechanoid, pulling off chunks of rock and ceiling tiles flies. It impacts the mechanoid at a slight angle, lifting it up and clear out of the city. The mass of the black hole leaving a long Scouring in the snow and earth as it blown out.
>>
>>22112601

[2/3]

“I’M NOT FINISHED!” you shout as you fly up into the air, reaching your hands behind you. A small spark of light begins to shine in between your hands. “THIS SOUL OF MINE BURNS WITH AN AWESOME POWER! IT’S BRILLIANT GAZE TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU! FINAL! BBBUUSSTTTEERRR.... SSSSSSPPPPPAAAARRRKKKKK!” you scream as you pour all of you love, hate, and sorrow into one enormous beam of light at the mechanoid and the black hole.

The massive stream of light energy flies off towards the massive Mechanoid, slamming it with the combined power of everyone at Fort Hope! It blasts through the mechanoid before it starts hitting the black hole and overloading it with power. Rays of light shine of the darkness of the black hole before the black hole suddenly explodes! The massive explosion destroys the majority of the Science Lord’s army while rays of light from the explosion cut flesh and SCIENCE! apart with equal ease.

“...It’s all over Science Lord...” you mutter staring at the ruins.

“Not quite!” an all too familiar voice rings out behind you.

Oh no... of all the times for HER to show up! “Lightgain! I knew you’d show up here!” you curse her name, turning around.

You can see Lightgain perched up upon a guard tower, arms crossed. It’s white and blue armor seems to shimmer, while the brown face of the Lightgain’s owner looks down upon you. “Yes, but I waited a bit to show up, just for you to use all of your power! This time victory shall go to me!” Lightgain says as it’s helmet closes shut. “Prepare yourself Brooklyn Browning!”
>>
>>22112608

[3/3]

“Oh no! Our hero, Brooklyn Browning, has met his rival at the worst possible time! Nearly drained of all of his aether to fight off the Science Lord’s army, he now fights the Science Lord’s most elite soldier, Lightgain! Wearing a special suit that converts Aether itself into physical might! Will our hero Brooklyn be able to fight off his rival!? Find out next week!” Mina announces to the crowd.

The large bunch of kids cheer at the puppet performance put up on the stage. You make both the Lightgain and Brooklyn puppets do a bow. It’s really easy to control them however you want using your darkness magic.

“Alright Mina, you were right, that was a good idea.” you say coming out behind the stage after the kids have left. “I feel completely full now.”

“I know right!?” Mina says smiling. “Even you seemed to get really worked up during the performance!”

“Ah... Just call it the Okarian fault put into proper use.” you reply.
>>
>>22112620

You cheeky Questfriend!
>>
>>22112620
hahaha nice.
Give Mina a big hug, we are still hyped up with AWESOMENESS OF MAGIC.
>>
>>22112620
Have we already gone clothes shopping yet or not?

"It was a good performance from the both of us, and we got to make kids happy. Besides, you enjoyed it just as much as I did."

Give her a hug, we're probably still riding an emotional high from the kids. If we haven't gone shopping yet than do so, we need more clothing for our female self, as well as good adventuring clothes, and we don't know how much luggage Mina has so we can pick out some outfits for her as well.
>>
“But it’s all thanks to you that we did such an incredible performance!” you say as hug Mina, lifting her up and twirling her around.

“Ha ha! The only thing I did was help with the voices! You light and dark talents was how we were able to pull this off!” Mina says hugging you back, rubbing against your cheek.

“Alright then! We have nearly three hours left before my date! Come on world! Give me your best!” you say throwing your fist into the air.

“Oh! I know! How about we go shopping for some clothes!” Mina suggests.

“SURE!” you reply in an excited tone as both of you skip off to get some clothes shopping done.

You manage to settle on a few select stores downtown that seem to fairly good. Mina has nearly a year’s worth paychecks and tips collected from the bar, so even though she’s burying herself in clothing she’s still offering to buy you a few new sets of clothing as well.

“Come on! Wouldn’t this look great for when you went on your date!?” Mina asks you.

“The skirt is way too short on that though! Unlike you I can’t go around wearing an open leg dress without freezing nearly to death!” you tell her.

“Well then point out something you DO like!” Mina says as she puts down a pile of clothing next to her. Most of it is supposed to be sample clothing, but with your shapechanging abilities you don’t need to waste the time or money for trimmings or measurements.
>>
>>22112844

Alright kiddies, pick out three outfits you'd like to have for Brooklyn. One for his date (if you want), one extra dress to wear around casually, and set of clothing for adventuring
>>
>>22112855
I'd like a sexy female link outfit for adventuring, those gloves, and them pockets.

plus female link.
>>
Oh yea, some people in the first thread wanted something like a typical witch costume. This would be another chance to get something like this.
>>
>>22112844
I might have missed this, but what does Mina look like? I keep picturing her as Meiling, for some reason.
>>
>>22112855
We already have one outfit that we got from Mary-Anne.

Okay, for the adventuring clothing thick pants that are full of pockets, a nice warm shirt, and a thick jacket with a lot of pocket space and it being thick enough to be slightly useful as armor. We already have boots so we don't need another pair, we also should get nice gloves to go with it.

For the date outfit a nice long somewhat witchy black dress, not too tight but enough to hint at things instead of outright yell them, the option to open up the neckline some to show off cleavage. And due to the cold a nice long coat to wear over it.

Third outfit we want something every-day and practical, but still pretty. A nice sweater that works with our curves, a decently long skirt maybe with leggings underneath or a good pair of pants.

[1/2]

“Well for some adventuring gear, you’d like something light, but fairly tough and durable. Since Fullplate is a little too hard to find, I think something like... this could work!” Mina says pulling out an outfit. The top appears to be a reinforced black leather long sleeved vest with a high collar. The pants also appear to be made out of durable leather with some reinforced shins. A durable leather coat made for warmth comes with the set. The entire thing seems to have quite a few pockets on it as well.

“Hm... Not bad.” you say looking at the uniform. “I’ll definitely take this one.”

“And being an Okarian, I think something like THIS will be good for you!” Mina says pulling out two dresses. One of them being a long black fancy witch sort of dress. It seems that’d hug and accentuate your curves rather than outright screaming that they’re there. A button up neckline would allow you to either button it up to your neck or down some to show off your cleavage. The second dress is something a bit more casual. A black and white dress that has a large white bow that ties up at the back of the dress with the option to rip off sleeves in order to make it a short sleeve dress if you wanted. The skirt itself with this one goes down to just a little bit below your kneecaps.

“Hm... Wearing dresses still do make me feel funny...” you comment as you raise up one the dresses to look at them.

“Nope this is what you’re going with! ...Oh! I almost forgot!” Mina says quickly running over to a corner of the shop and running back with a round and pointy witch's hat. A white bow can see tied around the base of it. Without waiting for your confirmation, Mina puts it atop your head.
>>
>>22113266

[2/2]

“...You’re not going to let me take it off, aren’t you?” you ask, Mina only smiles and nods in confirmation.

You leave the clothing store with a few more brand new outfits for you to wear. Mina on the other hand seemed to get nearly a dozen, as apparently she always wanted to try Western styles. After the clothing trip, you head back to your house and get changed into your dating witch dress. It’s a bit tricky at first, but once you shapeshift yourself into something several sizes too small, it’s easy to shapeshift back into the Sarah type body you used from the bath house and simply let the dress expand along with your curves.

You leave the bathroom and spin around. “Man... I still can’t get over how awkward this feels...” you complain.

“Hey at least you can wear other clothes. Most other Reaper’s have a thing where they only wear one clothing type ever. It doesn’t leave much to the imagination either.” Brodin comments as he sips his tea.

“Oh I’m sure you’ll do great for the date! Now is there any last minute advice you need before you head out!?” Mina asks you.

"I think I'll be okay. You spent over an hour drilling how to do this into my head. Thanks for the advice Mina, I couldn't do this without you. I already know you're going to ask for the juicy details when I get back so don't worry, I'll tell you how everything went.” You tell her as you put on your winter coat. “I just have to tell myself that it's not weird that I'm going on a date with a guy, and I just happen to need a contact with the Mercs and I should be fine."

“Oh relax! I’m sure you’ll do fine!” Mina says, giving your shoulders a small rub. “Now be sure to go out there and break a leg!”

“Have fun.” Brodin waves half heartedly as he reads your book on Demonology.

You then head on over to the Crimson Bears barracks. It’s located in the so-called ‘merc section’ of the city. An area that contains the majority of the merc training grounds, equipment, and barracks to. You know the Crimson Bears to be famous in their defensive tactics and speciality against siege warfare. Once they take ground, they hold it. In addition, they are known to make excellent bodyguards for merchants who are in need of them.

The Crimson Bears headquarters is a large red building, a sign of a bloody bear hanging from the top saying, “We’ll protect you as a mother bear would her home and cub!” Entering the area, you can see many mercs are waiting themselves in the lobby area with large duffle bags. Most likely they’re waiting for someone to come pick them up. On the ceiling, banners of each company of soldiers can be seen, all of them having to something with bears. Dotted amongst the walls are the exploits of the Crimson Bears, including their founding, major victories, and even a few crushing losses that *always* seemed to make the unit stronger as a whole in the end. Your curiosity as a historian takes over as you begin to read over the rather lengthy history of the unit.
>>
>>22114864

[2/3]

“I see you’re taking a liking to our history?” Lance asks standing next to you. He’s still wearing his uniform, but has a heavy red jacket of a civilian style over it. His hair appears to be a dirty blond with deep blue eyes. A scar can be seen on his left cheek. His face appears to be hard, but his expressions of a gentle sort.

“O-Oh I’m sorry! I was so into reading that I didn’t notice you where there!” you say while blushing.

“Oh don’t worry! If anything I’m happy you have such an interest in our company! Though as a scholar I guess these sorts of things interest you by default.” Lance says.

“Oh definitely! I always enjoy reading about history, often times wondering how things could’ve been or why people did the things they did.” you reply honestly.

“Not that I enjoy my own place of work, but I say let’s get out of here for the moment. How would you care for some dinner first?” Lance asks taking your hand.

“Oh I’d love some! I’m pretty much fine with just about anything you want to eat.” you tell Lance.

“Perfect! I know just the place downtown.” Lance says as he takes you out of the barracks.
>>
>>22114869

[3/3]

Dinner was rather uneventful. Lance treated you to some Fresh Salmon with raspberries while he ordered a bear steak. During this time both you talk about your respective jobs. Lance is apparently a squad leader for his unit in the 4th division of the company. You are also honest about your own job, albeit omitting any critical names for obvious reasons.

“It’s a great night isn’t it...” Lance says as he looks out over the guard tower. After dinner he used some of his connections to get on top of a guard tower. Only you two are up on top, and the view is absolutely stunning. Stars twinkle in the sky above brightly while the snowy wasteland itself seems to almost take your breath away. You can even see the old city ruins off in the distance.

“Yea...” you say as you gaze out over the distance. Unconsciously, you find yourself leaning into Lance. You can feel your heart actually beating faster as you get closer to him, feeling perfectly content and safe when h-

...Oh my god... Are you actually falling for him? Your eyes go wide in the sudden realization of this.

“Something wrong?” Lance asks as he sees you’re reaction.

“N-No nothing... I just realized that I forgot to bring a library book today is all.” you say quickly making up an excuse.

“Hm... That’s good. I was worried whenever or not you enjoyed the night.” Lance asks.

>>22114887

Then I guess I better catch up

>>22114887
Well, it gets me more quest so I'm cool with it.

>>22114875
Damn Okarian mood swings and emotional volatility. Remember, it's for the emotional food and the contacts.

"No, I really enjoyed myself. You know how to show a girl a good time."

Keep on leaning into him, enjoy the view a bit more, for the love of everything good and holy don't sleep with him, spend some more time, chat idly, flirt lightly, when we leave if he chooses to send us off with a kiss we may as well eat somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 his soul, err on the side of caution.
>>
>>22114938
add my vote to this with the addition of; if things look like they might get a little to sexy for our liking use our suggestion/hidden word to send him to sleep
>>
Where could we learn a sort of calm spell we could use on ourself? I think it would be a very useful thing to learn. Either that or learn monk style fighting. You know calm and controlled fighting. So we dont lose ourself to our emotions.
>>
>>22114938

That's pretty risky, I don't think it's been stated exactly how long the kisses last but doing that in his territory will be pretty obvious.
>>
>>22115072
I vote we only do a quick snack at 1/8 of his aether.
>>
>>22115192

we could always practice NOT draining any of his aether. you know, so we know we can do it when we want...
>>
[1/3]

Damn this Okarian emotional volatility! You’re supposed to be using this guy as a contact for the merc group! NOT falling for him!

“No, I really enjoy myself... You really know how to show a girl a good time...” you reply. You want the words to be false, but you can feel that in your heart these words to you feel true.

“Thanks... I’m glad to hear that.” he replies as he pulls you a bit closer. You can almost feel your heart skipping a small beat.

You glance up at his face out of the corner of your eyes. Slowly, but ever so surely, both you turn your heads so that you’re both looking at each other deeply in the eyes. Slowly you’re both drawn together by a spell, until your lips finally met with Lance’s. You can feel his rough and chapped lips against your own soft lips. You can feel almost as if you’re just floating away. The atmosphere, the night, and Lance himself being a surprisingly decent man instead of the brickhead you originally expected him to be.

You’re not sure how long you were within his embrace when he pulled away, because as far as you’re concerned it wasn’t long enough. You even forgot to suck out some of his aether, but at this point you don’t honestly care. Plus you’re full from the puppet show you and Mina did earlier.
>>
>>22115226

[2/3]

“I had a great night, but I’m afraid we’re going to have to call it here. I’ve got to get up early tomorrow for my shift.” Lance seems to have a small pang of regret in his voice as he tells you this. “I’ll still bring you back to your house though.”

“T-thank you...” you stammer as Lance helps you back up.

Lance leads you back to your house without any difficulties. “T-thank you for the evening Lance. I really enjoyed it...” you say as you stand in front of your house.

“Same, it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a date as much as I have tonight.” Lance admits. “So... Would you like to go on another date sometime?”

“S-sure... I’d love to.” your body seems to automatically say without any input from you. “I’m busy tomorrow, but unless something comes up I’m pretty much free any weekday after five.”

“Great. I’ll sent a letter to your house on when’s the next time I’m free. Just drop the reply in a mailbox or bring it to the barracks. Fine with you?” Lance asks.

“Y-yea, that’s fine.” you says.
>>
>>22115235

Lance nods. “Alright them, good night Sarah.” Lance waves before he turns around to head back.

“G-goodbye Lance.” you say waving in response. You keep watching him until he’s completely out of view before you enter your house, sighing contently.

“Oooohhhh! I heard the entire thing from in here!” Mina says as she takes your coat. “Come one spill the natto! How’d go!?”

“It didn’t go as planned.” you tell Mina while blushing as red as a beet. “Damn his rugged good looks... Damn gentlemanly personality...” you mumble to yourself as you walk over to your bed and bury your head into your pillow.

“So a very good time on your end then.” Brodin says reading the book on magical theory you have.

“Thrice damnit Okarian emotional bullshit! Now I see why the rest of them are stoic!” you curse as you sit back up. “How dare he be such be such a gentleman and nice guy! Why are stairlit nights so damn romantic! I mean we even kissed and I didn’t even eat his damn soul!”

Mina listens to your rantings with rapt attention, sparkles in his eyes. Brodin meanwhile continues to read the book without so much as glancing at you.

“I MEAN I USED TO HAVE A DICK! Three days ago I would’ve been doing your best to take your dress off, not that I still won’t, and now I’m getting googly eyes from some damn merc!” You complains.

“With all due respect I don’t swing that way.” Brodin replies.

>>22115454

[2/2]

“I WASN’T TALKING ABOUT YOU!” you yell at Brodin while flinging your pillow at him.

“...So you won’t mind if I snack on him myself?” Mina asks while seductively licking her finger.

“You stay away from him you bitch.” you reply to Mina in a stone cold voice.

“Oh relax! I wouldn’t dream of taking away my BFF’s boyfriend away from her!” Mina says hugging you tightly.

“He’s not my boyfriend! I think... I mean.... Oh I dunno!” you say throwing yourself at the sheets and burying your face into them. You can feel the pillow landing back on top of your head. “And what the hell is natto!? Some sort of Eastern dish!?”

“Yes, and it’s very healthy for you!” Mina exclaims. “So... If you don’t have anything to do early tomorrow... Do you think we could go to the Shrine tonight?”
>>
What are our requirements for sleep? Normal human level? If not then let's go for it, if yes we're waiting until tomorrow.
>>
>>22115470

You can make due with a bit less sleep, but otherwise still need sleep.

Mina, with advanced resilience, can make do on only a few hours of sleep. Right now it's only 10:15 or so in the game.

2 hours out, we're sleeping.

Mina, turn off your sparkly eyes and stop being so excited about me utterly failing at controlling myself. Get your stuff together and we can head out. You can see in the dark right?

Stupid sexy mercenaries."

We don't have any plans until past noon tomorrow, so getting back at 4 in the morning isn't really a big deal.

OKARIAN MOOD SWINGS GO!

"I had a great night, Mina! We first went to that not-so-fancy-but-classy and hip restaurant and he was sitting near me and he looked sooo manly chewing on that big chunk of bear ass and then we were walking and snow was falling down glittering like a star-dust and then he showed me to go first and watched my back as we climbed to the top and there was this silence and we weren't talking or anything but just being together, I could hear my heart pound and then...then... - exuberant and not making much sense tirade was cut short when Brooklyn suddenly stopped, a shadow of fear passed through her visage. Her eyes became watery as she struggled to continue - ...a-and then...and then I'll want to have more of these mo-moments and I'll try to be pre-tty for him and...change looks subtly...and then he'll become suspicious, fearful and I'll try to correct it and I'll become desperate and at the end I WILL EAT HIS SOOOOOOUUUUUULLLLLLLLWAAAAAAHHHHH - burst into tears.

Aww, shucks, too late again.
>>
>>22115552
Might be a tad mood swingy. And late.
>>
if we don't have to do anything seen till the morning i guess we can head out. it will give me something else to think about. Mina i hope you appreciate how tired i will be tomorrow.
>>
>>22115457

We should go, we won't probably get much sleep anyway and going into cold and sacrificing some mercenaries on satanic altar will do us good to forget about events of this evening.
>>
>>22115616
Pirates, not Mercs. Merc is a morality neutral term, they fight for pay, but we can do whatever we want to Ice Pirates and not feel a shred of guilt.

If we run into a camp of sleeping ones we could incapacitate them and bring them with us to the shrine, give our Queens a snack.
>>
>>22115650

was that not the plan? though i feel that now we know that there is a Laminian succubus somewhere in the settlement, i feel that obtaining her assistance in the matter would allow for more tactical flexibility...
>>
[1/2]
"Well my other plans were to stab myself in the face due to having an emotional and gender identity breakdown, but I can put those on hold. Stupid sexy mercenaries...” you say turning to Mina, who still has her sparkly puppy dog eyes on you. “Mina, turn off your sparkly eyes and stop being so excited about me utterly failing at controlling myself. Get your stuff together and we can head out. You can see in the dark right?”

“No but my eyes are really good!” Mina replies.

“Good enough. Brodin, lock down the fort while we’re out.” you order.

“Can do.” he replies while turning the page on the book.

You change your clothes into the combat gear before heading out, just in case you run into any trouble. Thankfully the night is fairly clear, so finding your way back towards the altar building isn’t even that hard. You do however need to keep an extra sharp eye out for any sort of snow pirates or worse.

About two hours and 15 minutes later, you and Mina arrive at the altar building. The office lobby is in the exact same shape that you left it in.

“It’s just down here.” you tell Mina as you begin to lead her down the steps and through the construction area. “Watch your step. The ground here is both icy and fairly loose.”

“Wow... I’m impressed you can see ANYTHING down here...” Mina says as she looks around, but it’s clear to see that she’s basically blind as a bat.
>>
>>22115719

[2/2]

You manage to reach the rubble pile leading down the altar. You give a smile sigh as you remember your body is down there. You’re probably going to need to give it a proper burial in this case, or at least dispose of it. The good news you can think of is that since it’s so cold, decomposition will be vastly slowed.

But as soon as you reach the altar area, the first thing you notice is that your body is *gone*. The blood splotches on the floor and your bloody handprints are there, but your physical body yourself is gone.

“What the fuck!?” you gasp as you leave Mina behind for a second, running over to the altar and frantically searching for your body. But as far as you know, you don’t see anything at all.

“B-Brooklyn? I-Is something wrong?” Mina asks with a slight hint of fear in her voice.
>>
"Kinda. My old body is gone."
>>
>>22115706

Don't forget about Brodin as well. I've yet to do his sheet, but he's also a possibility.
>>
>>22115739

DAMN IT!!!! i was going to have my old body stuffed and mounted to act as a reminder of who i was.... BUT IT IS GONE
*sob for a few moments*
well, here it is. the Shrine which contains the Queens. it will be our job to break them out of there...
>>
either rats got it or...... our body is a walking corps some where.... (if this was shadowrun i would be screaming SHADIM)

tell Mina that our dead body is gone that can't be good. also can't we use darkness magic to make our friend be able to see?
>>
>>22115723
"My corpse is gone. I was going to give myself a proper burial but it's gone now.

Yeah, I know, burying yourself is kinda fucked up, but closure would be nice.

Also this might mean that something else has been here, whether it's the Laminian or something worse.

Not much we can really do about it though, this is the shrine where the Eight Queens have hidden themselves. Our goal is to get them up and running again."

Turn our flashlight on and use light magic to enhance it so that Mina can see properly.
>>
>>22115777

could we use light magic to make a glowing light?

we could have it ring shaped and center it above our head...
then, realizing what we have done, we could scream "I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT" then fail to hide due to illuminated head...
>>
"My body is gone. And damnit, I was planning on having some fun with it!"

Fun like scaring the hell out of people.

And maybe some necrophiliac selfcest.

“...Kinda... my old body is gone... DAMNIT!” you say kicking the side of the altar in a fit of rage. “I was going to have that thing stuffed to remind myself who I was! ...Oh well...” You’ll probably need to ask Brodin about this later. Being a Reaper means he has to know shit like this. You walk over to Mina, making a small ball of light in your hands to illuminate the entire room for Mina, showing her the altar in front. “These are where the Succubi Queens are locked up, each of the statues there stands for each one of them.”

Mina’s jaw slowly drops open as she heads over to the altar, somewhat mystified by the entire thing. “O-Oh my god... I don’t believe it... T-that statue over there must be of Queen Lamia! And that one over there of Queen Purple!” Mina says as she darts between the two statues.

“Yea... But I’m wondering where the hell that corpse has gone too... Maybe it was taken by rats or that Laminian... Anyways I... I...” you stammer as your vision slowly starts to get more blurry. It isn’t only yourself, but also Mina who seems to stumble about. Your last vision is basically seeing Mina collapse on top of the altar.

“Wwweeellllcome back!” you hear someone say as you’re shaken awake.

“Ah!? Wa!?” you are quickly snapped back awake, only to discover yourself floating in the astral prison of the Succubi Queen’s again. Seven of them are in front of you again, only this time instead of Carine you can see a woman in blue fullplate armor with a large anti-material rifle strapped to her back. You can Mina floating unconscious next you.

“...I take it that was you guys who dropped us like a sack of bricks?” you ask the Queens.

“Oh I’m so sorry my dear... But it was the only good way for both you to come and visit us.” Janine gives a small bow and apologies.

“Yea... Especially since we didn’t tell you for you how to actually *contact* us other ways besides becoming unconscious in front of the altar...” Lamia says while rubbing the back of her head.
>>
>>22115923
try to wake up mina
>>
>>22115923

tell them of our plan to use the ice pirate base as an offering to them. also introduce Mina, tell them that she is a big fan...
>>
>>22115923
Try to wake up Mina, gently.

"This is Mina, Belkarian, nice girl. She's a big fan, she ought to be able to catch you up to speed on how Succubi are currently. They think you're more stories than anything else though.

The contact thing, little bit of an oversight on your part. We should probably work out a way around that, how much Aether would it take to set up communications with you so I can talk to you without having to head all the way out here?

Also Oksana, I'm slightly miffed at you. You didn't mention the massive mood swings and weakness to emotional manipulation. And I still miss my dick in case you were wondering."
>>
oh mention that our old body is missing and did they see what happened, as that can't be a good sign.
>>
[1/5]

“Well off, I’d like to introduce you all to Mina. A Belkarian girl I met in town. She’s a big fan, and she’s probably better able to catch you up on how Succubi are doing currently. Although I think they’re more stories than anything else.” You say as you shake Mina awake.

“Huh!? Wa!? W-Where am I!?” Mina says waking up, looking around frantically. She then stops to look at all the Succubi Queen’s, her mouth and eyes slowly opening widely.

“Yo.” Lamia says raising her hand.

“O-Oh my god... Am I dreaming!? P-Please tell me I’m not dreaming!” Mina gasps.

Janine softly chuckles to herself. “I assure you my dear that you’re not dreaming and we’re quite real.”

It only takes Mina all of several seconds to locate Purple out of the lot. Mina lets all of her demonic traits go before both of her hands together and bowing before bowing in front of Purple. “Purple-hime. You cannot imagine how great of an honor it is to finally meet you in person.”

“Likewise it is an honor to meet someone of my clan again after so long.” Purple replies to Mina.

“Purple-hime, please forgive me if you find this favor of mine too arrogant, but would you honor me with a duel against you?” Mina asks. Her voice and tone sound completely different than from what you’re used to.

[2/5]

“My power is no where what it used to be, and I’ve been crippled due to staying in here for such an extended period of time. But it has been a long time since I’ve last tested my abilities... Very well! I accept your challenge!” Purple says as she takes the sheath off of her sword. “I am Purple, Purple Dominga, the Sword that cleaves evil!”

Mina herself gets out of her own bowing stance, getting into a side stance. Her fists being to glow with a faint white glow. “I am Mina Kazanari! Master of the Lightgain school of supernatural Martial Arts!”

“EN GARDE!” Purple yells out as she immediately rushes towards Purple, blade raised high above her head. Mina quickly jumps back out of the sword slashes range, but Purple quickly closes in after her.

“Ha ha! Looks like Purple found a new friend to play with!” Lamia laughs as Purple and Mina begin to duel.

“So Oksana... Do you mind telling me why you didn’t warn me about the Okarian emotion thing? You didn’t warn me about the mood swings and weakness to emotion magic” you ask her.

The other Demon Queens begin shooting nasty glares at Oksana.

“Ha ha... Ha ha ha... I completely forgot about it to be honest...” Oksana shyly admits. “I mean the last time that came up for me was so long ago... And it isn’t like *I* was the only one! Purple left out the bit about Belkarian oaths as well!”
>>
>>22116378

[3/4]

“But the part about leaving some way to contact you was an oversight on your part yes. How much aether would it take for me to communicate to you guys so I can talk to you without lugging my ass all the way here?” you ask.

“In all honesty, you should be able to pull it off now. I’ll teach you the spell before you leave here again.” Oksana mentions.

“Oh yea, what happened to my body on the altar? I mean it isn’t there anymore and I doubt rats took it away.” you ask.

“We have no idea. After we turned you into a demon lord we went to sleep. When we woke back up, it was gone. Poof.” Janette says.

“Carine and I had a look as best as we could. We detected several aura travels that came in about five hours after you left. Mortal. They took your body from the altar then left.” The blue fullplate Demon Queen mentions.

“...And you are?” you ask.

“Roselle, the Gemelli Succubi Queen. The only one.” The blue fullplate Succubi asks.

“OK then.” you don’t feel like entering a pissing match with a Gemelli Queen again.

“It’s puzzling to me why they wanted your body. Or more important, who they were and how they knew about the location of this shrine.” Miyu points out before looking at you.

“I told no one except Mina and a Reaper about this place.” you reply.

“He’s telling the truth.” Roselle replies.

“...Still it doesn’t make sense. Why your body? I mean you could use it for Necromancy of some sort yes, but you could do that with any body.” Oksana says as she begins to think hard about it.

“Anyways, I got some good news. I managed to find out about a snow pirate near here. Since all of your are so hungry for Aether, I was wondering if any of you would have complaints if I brought them all here and sent them to you guys for dinner.”

“Oh that’d be just *perfect*!” Lamia says licking her lips.

“So long as you don’t send any innocent here by accident, then we’ll happily accept such a meal.” Janette replies.

Janine sighs. “I’d much prefer a nobleman... But beggers cannot be choosers... Do you have any plan on attacking these snow pirates?”
>>
>>22116387
"Well, that was what I was wondering. I mean, I can't kill them, nor can I lug a large number of their bodies here on my own. Unless you can teach me a way to contain their souls so I can bring them over here, the most I'll be able to do is ambush one of their patrols and kidnap two or three of them."
>>
These queens are too moralistic to my taste. Food is food, damnit.
>>
>>22116387

"i thought that i could charm a patrol to get taken into their base, from there, i could distract the guards long enough for Mina to get into the base. while i charm their leader, she could knock out their sentries. after they have all been pacified, we could make a sled and drag them back here.
unless you know of an easier way to bring them to you..."
>>
"How many would you be needing? One for each once of you? Any preferences on the type of guy you would like?"

With our improved suggestion, we could easily gather a few victims for the Queens. The problem is getting close enough to the pirates to use the suggestion, though.
>>
>>22116510
We can't mass charm, though, so manipulating the members of a patrol or the guards might be difficult.
>>
>>22116387
"Mortals did it, interesting. This deserves some investigation, but later.

As for the snow pirates, they're pirates, no chance of innocence there. There's a couple ideas. Me and Mina could Suggest that they come here after she uses emotion control to make them a bit reckless and greedy, I say to the leader it's full of treasure, she gets the rest as she can do crowds.

I mean it wouldn't be too hard for the two of us to just kill them, but that defeats the purpose. Maybe if we did fight we'd just incapacitate them, tie them together and drag them here, I could probably use Shadow Tentacles to help drag them while Mina does most of it.

There any way to just funnel you Aether from a distance? Because that would make my life a fair bit easier. Also if I take them here how would I sacrifice them? Blood ritual on the altar?"

>>22116532
It's dark out, we have darkness magic, we can pull it off.

>>22116541
Mina can Mass Emotion Control them to make them receptive to the idea of going out there and we can do Suggest the leader.
>>
could also not that we first came here because of a guy at a tavern spouting about an alter. say that someone else is involves some how. Oh and mention there is a Laminian around town.

basically we are informing them that something weird is going on and if they have any insight on the situation.
>>
>>22116627
garr need to proof read what i write. the first sentence should be that we should tell them the reason why we came here the first time a guy was spouting at the tavern that an alter was near by.

“How many would you be needing? Do you have any preferences on what type of
people you’d like?” you ask.

“We all have our own little preferences. Purple prefers to devour traitors or
cowards, Lamia loves to devour people abuse children, Janette prefers to devour slavers of any sort, Janine likes to eat noblemen, Oksana prefers to devour people who are criminals, while I like to devour thieves.” Roselle replies.

“But food is food. We won’t be refusing anything you send at us.” Lamia replies.

“Yes. I’m sure even Leo wouldn’t mind completely devouring the pirates, despite the fact she’s usually so skimish about devouring mortals normally for some reason...” Janine comments.

“Let’s not get into that debate again please.” Oksana sighs.

“As for how many we’d need... As many as you can get a hold of. Realistically you could probably sacrifice a million people just to completely fill one of us due to how vast our aetheric reserves are.” Miyu replies. “But considering how weak we are, every little bit helps.”

“You know, if you bring us our preferred dishes, we’d also be be liable to give you some... favors too!” Lamia adds.
>>
>>22116695

[2/2]

“Do any of you have any suggestions for taking out a snow pirate base? They’re largely a tribal like society.” you ask.

“Their leader is going to be the cornerstone of the entire tribe in that case. If you kill them, the pirates will scatter like roaches. However if you manipulate him then the entire tribe will most likely follow his lead, or the vast majority of it.” Janette replies.

“Also is there any way to funnel Aether to you guys from a distance? It seems to be pain to sacrifice people on the shrine all the time.” you ask.

“Unfortunately no. We needed to hide our spiritual signatures at all costs. In order to do this, things such as remote Aethetic transfer are blocked by the shrine.” Roselle replies.

“You don’t need to sacrifice millions of people you know. When you get strong enough, we can just drain you of some of your aether in order to empower us. So rather than bringing people there, you can just gather energy yourself then come to us.” Oksana replies.
>>
>>22116703
"Well, Oksana and Roselle ought to be happy, these guys count as criminals and thieves. We'll bring them to you soon enough, just have to get close to the leader, fill his mind with a couple buckets of Suggestion and you ought to get a nice snack.

I was thinking about giving you mine, but my Aetheric reserves right now aren't that large yet, so it seems more efficient to bring them to you right now.

Oksana, since we seem to have some time would you minding teaching me a bit. There's the communication spell which I need to learn, but getting better at my darkness control would be rather helpful as well."
>>
how much energy should we gather first to make the trip worth while? we have gathered some energy already it is small but it could hold everyone over till we gather more.

also a even if we succeed a whole bunch of pirates disappearing would probably attract a bit of attention. attention we should try to avoid for now.

>>22116784

'a starving man will be happy with even the smallest morsels'
they have literally had NOTING to eat for over six hundred years. though we should try and get all of the snow pirates here. then the area becomes a safer place in all...
>>
>>22116784
There's probably lots of various pirates in the general area and there is likely infighting between them, people might notice that it's a bit safer outside but not really look further, the power vacuum will be filled soon enough, and people'll simply assume that some monster, demon, warring pirate group took them out.

>>
[1/4]

“That sounds like a fairly simple thing to do then. Just get close to the leader and simply plant suggestions in his head for him and his group to come here.” you says.

“You’re on your own about how to actually get him to hear you. Screaming your suggestion out over and out into the camp won’t work. You’ve got to have him close.” Janette warns.

“Well regardless, with most of these guys being criminals and thieves, it should make Roselle and Oksana happy. Queen Oksana, would you mind if you taught me a bit more Darkness magic before I left? It seems like it’d come in useful for the upcoming conflict.” you ask.

“Unfortunately I cannot. I lack the power needed to give you a power up like that. With these souls I *may* be able to. But remember the training magic has limits. I can only help you so much. Secondly you don’t need me to increase your magical potency. You can easily increase it by yourself just by using it. Think of if like exercise. The more you use it and push yourself with it, the faster it’ll develop.” Oksana says. “...I may however be able to teach you a ritual spell. Ritual spells are different compared to the magic you’re used to using. It’s typically much slower and you’re quite vulnerable while casting. However it is typically extremely powerful.”

“The only downside is that ritual spells are static. They won’t grow in power unlike your natural abilities, and they’re inflexible as you cannot combine with with other magic.” Janette warns.
>>
>>22117204

[2/4]

“But don’t dismiss them. They’re still incredibly powerful in their own right.” Roselee says. “Or if you want, I can teach you Aura sight instead.”

“Aura sight?” you ask.

“Every living thing in the world has their own unique energy signatures, an aura. It’s different for nearly every person and depending on the emotions one feels it also shifts in colour. Succubi basically feed off these aura’s of people when feeding off their emotions, as these auras are technically... aetheric exhaust for creatures. Aura sight would allow you to know the emotions of people by just a glance. Later stages would allow to tell whenever or not someone is awakened, the ability to see Aura’s through walls, or even trace people’s movements from nearly days ago just by using their auras.” Roselle explains.

“Hm... Both sound fairly useful...” you say.

“Or I can help you with some other magical ability related to the Okarian caste. Either or.” Oksana says. “Now, let’s get working on helping you memorize your first ritual spell, one that you can use to contact us.”

It does take some time for Oksana to drill the instructions of the ritual spell into your head. Unlike your Light and Dark control, which you can improvise, rituals seem to have very strict specifications. If you screw up or skimp out on any step during it, then... very bad things could happen depending on the ritual spell being cast.
>>
>>22117208

[3/4]

(LEARNED NEW RITUAL SPELL! Demon Queen Communicate! This ritual takes about 15 minutes to cast and requires incense to be burned in a ring with a specific shape)

“My how traditional.” you reply.

“Yea well you don’t make these rituals, you discover them.” Oksana replies.

Mina comes soaring past you, tumbling on the ground the ground looking to be all battered with cuts all over her body. She stands up, wiping away some of the blood from her mouth. “I... I admit my defeat Purple-hime.” Mina says bowing towards Purple.

“You have fought well Mina Kazanari.” Purple says as she summons her sheath back to her and puts her sword into it. Looking at Purple’s face you can tell Mina had landed a few blows but Purple appears to be in much better shape. “It has been a long time since I’ve had such an honorable combat with only pure skill on both sides.”

“My skill is nothing compared to yours Purple-Hime.” Mina replies.

“No, your skill is quite impressive indeed. I felt that you take great passion in your chosen style.” Purple encourages her. Purple then takes out her blade again, and this time puts it on Mina’s shoulder. “In fact I have a present for you as well. I hereby grant you the honorary title of being one of my personal knights.”

(Mina has earned the title ‘Purple’s Knight!)

“I-I... I am not worthy Purple-hime.” Mina says, you can tell that she’s barely containing her joy.
>>
>>22117215

[4/4]

“You have all the makings of an excellent knight inside of you. You do your clan proud.” Purple says removing the blade from Mina’s shoulder. “If anything I should feel ashamed that I knighted you without a proper ceremony, but things have been rather hard for us lately.”

“Thank you Purple-hime, I shall not let you down.” Mina says still bowing.

“Well, that was a productive visit wasn’t it?” Janette replies.

“Indeed it was. Well, good luck to the both of you!” Lamia waves as you and Mina are slowly enveloped in darkness.

“I’ll see about getting you guys that meal!” you call out before you black out from the darkness.

******

You slowly come back to in the altar, squinting your eyes to adjust before making a small light ball and pushing it up in the air to illuminate the room. “Mina! Mina are you there!?”

“I’m here...” Mina says rising back up from her feet. “That was... Wow... I mean... I-I feel so proud. I actually had the honor to duel Succubus Queen Purple and she actually *praised* me. But then she... she made me her knight... This seems all too surreal... I mean I heard stories about Purple’s knights all the time when I was a kid! B-But I never thought I’d become one! This is all just like a fairy tale...” Mina blathers on. Apparently this is an extremely big deal for someone like her.

But now the visitations are out of the way, you can concentrate on how to tackle these pirates...
>>
>>22117220
I guess letting ourselves be captured would be one way to get close to the leader of the pirates, but it's a bit too risky for my taste.
>>
>>22117220

well. the easiest way into their base would be to find one of their patrols, then using hidden suggestion under the guise of begging for them to spare us, implant the idea of taking us back to their base as 'toys' for their leader.
then, once we are presented to their leader, we can suggest to him to take a raiding party to the shrine. while we do this, Mina can set up some appropriate traps and an ambush. we should leave our physical weapons in a safe place here so they don't get 'confiscated' when we are taken in...
>>
Alright, now I need to bolt for the night. I’ll leave you guys to vote on how to tackle the pirate base. In addition, you can also vote on what reward you want if you pull this off. Possible rewards include:

- Getting any Okarian ability mentioned from the first thread up to Average instantly (such as Elemental controls, Healing, Invisibility, etc...)
- Learn Aura Sight
- Learn a ritual spell magic. Some possible rituals to learn at this point are:

REMOTE SCRYING: Gaze into a mirror or crystal ball and be able to view locations remotely.
COUNTERMAGIC: This unique magic spell not only comes out instantly, but can serve as a counter to nearly EVERY magic spell. Note that weapon magic skills and abilities do not count as magic (You wouldn’t be able to dispell Mina’s shapeshifting for example, as that is innate to her)
BLADE TEMPEST: A spell with an area of effect that is roughly the same length and width of a football field and 20 yards high.

I’ll think up more rituals later, but if you can think of good, cool low level rituals, then feel free to post them.
>>
>>22117220
It's still dark out so we can use that and our Darkness Control to approach their location, use our perfect night vision to identify the locations of any sentries, due to her speed and strength Mina ought to be able to bypass their standard watched entrances and sentries, maybe climbing walls, jumping over them, and so on.

Now the next step depends on the environment, if there are women of negotiable moral virtue hanging about or slaves used for the same purpose, neither of which is unlikely, we disguise ourself as one, maybe bring Mina along, anyone asks what we're doing we say that we were commanded to attend to the boss which ought to shut them down, especially if we throw a bit of suggestion in, get to the leader, get close to him, unleash Suggestion saying the ruins are full of treasure, that he needs to get all his men together and go there now, if he doesn't hurry someone else is going to take it, and then profit.
>>
>>22117300
Something that actually makes us keep control when emotions are involved.
We're practically unable to follow any plans the moment we interact with other people.

>>22117300
>Getting any Okarian ability mentioned from the first thread up to Average instantly
Air? I remember there was quite some support for flight and lightning...
>>
>>22117303
I like this plan.

>>22117300
Regarding powers, Aura sight sounds incredibly usefull.
>>
>>22117300
I'm pretty tempted by the Aura Sight thing. It'll make identifying food sources easier and knowing someone's emotional state makes them easier to manipulate and Suggest. At higher levels being able to know what someone is, how powerful they are, and track them is really useful. It lets us know if we should fight or run, it makes us harder to sneak up on, information is king.
>>
>>22117290

not sure if clear, but we solo the infiltration part leaving Mina to prepare the party.

>>22117300

reward wise, we seem to be playing as a manipulator, so something which would help towards that. i shall compile data and return with a report on the matter
>>
>>22117355
I'm >>22117349 which is a vote for Aura Sight.

With the exception of a possible ritual we come up with Aura Sight seems the most manipulatey of the options. It lets us know more about the people we talk to than we would normally, it means they can't conceal emotions from us and might make it easier to notice lies and deceit. It lets us see the effect our words have on people.

Also it makes finding food locations easier.
>>
>>22117397

after analysing the available data, i agree with your choice of Aura Sight.

however, i would like to ask if Wind control can also be used to create, alter and negate sound. or if there is another ability which focuses on the control of sound.
>>
>>22117728
We should probably just ask for a rundown of all the abilities at Average level if possible. Sandact did say that the abilities didn't just increase in potency, but grant additional powers as they leveled.
>>
>>22117795

here is a repost of the abilities we have been offered in both this thread and the first, minus the three we already have;

- Fire control (Includes the generation of it)
- Water Control (Includes water vapor and ice)
- Earth Control (Includes Metal)
- Wind Control (Includes Lightning)
- Healing Magic
- Enhanced Invisibility (Can turn invisible to most human eyes and can move slowly during invisibility)
- Aura Sight
- REMOTE SCRYING: Gaze into a mirror or crystal ball and be able to view locations remotely.
- COUNTERMAGIC: This unique magic spell not only comes out instantly, but can serve as a counter to nearly EVERY magic spell. Note that weapon magic skills and abilities do not count as magic (You wouldn’t be able to dispell Mina’s shapeshifting for example, as that is innate to her)
- BLADE TEMPEST: A spell with an area of effect that is roughly the same length and width of a football field and 20 yards high.
>>
Countermagic seems incredibly good. With it, we will only have to fear physical damage, which we should learn how to avoid/null with pur own magic in the future.
>>
>>22117936
I agree that countermagic is a good second choice, but chances are that we won't face much in magic oppostion for a while at least.

To me, Aura magic sounds like the best choice for now.

yes, Countermagic seems incredibly good... just like becoming a Okarian...

Or have some other, hidden, horrible drawback.
Not that emotional instabillity is that bad, we just need to master it.

She can take him if she wants.

We can ask about that when we have taken care of the food. Chances are that it's something we need to master alone.
>>
>>22118544

i think that the emotion thing is a double edged sword rather than a pure drawback. our magic power is based on our emotions, so if we feel hatred towards a particular enemy, our offensive magic may be slightly more potent than if we remained emotionally detached.
also, it makes for an interesting character point. having a perfect character is not the goal here.
that is nearly as bad as no fun allowed...
>>
>>22118610

You have a point. I think we might concentrate too much on "optimizing" our succubus than fleshing her out (though GM does a good job in it)
>>
>>22118610
While you are right it may be interesting.
But, the point is not be slave to our emotion. It's one thing having to fight it, it's another not to have choice at all.

Does Mina realize that we are a Succubi Lord? If not we should find a way to let her find out. (What the hell does that even mean anyway? Does it make inherently more powerful or something?)
>>
>>22128816
Brodin needs to teach us necromantic theory sometime.
>>
>>22128816
He doesn't have a Drinking skill. That's the thing he seems to spend most of his time doing.

Also his sailing should probably just be general boating because I don't think I've ever heard of a reaper boat with sails. They're usually little rowboats, or just move with lolmagic.

>Gravity Scythe Crusher
>An attack where the user swings the Axe then uses gravity magic to increase the weight of the axe, increasing the power behind the strike.
"Scythe Crusher" should be about scythes, surely. Looks like you just copypasta'd our axe skill and forgot to edit it.
>>
>>22128816
Right, because I'm not sure if we ever reached consensus - or even discussed - the options presented to us, I'm voting for Aura sight. Utility powers are good.

Also, we really should clear up exactly what being a Succubus Lord entails.
>>
when we can talk to Brodin, we should find out exactly how screwed we are, now that someone has our dead mortal body.

Going with Aura Sight because it sounds useful or Wind because it's cool

>>22128816

I must ask thee, does the control of sound fall under wind control or does it have it's own ability? I ask because the ability to create/alter/mute sounds is a vast overlooked, yet rather useful ability.

“Well how about we prove your newfound knight title then?” you ask Mina. “There’s a pirate base near here, filled with the typical snow pirate scum. My plan is that I wanted to bring them all back here and then sacrifice them in order to give the Queen’s a little snack.”

“...Snow pirates?” Mina asks.

“Wicked men who make a living off of raiding, kidnapping, or killing anything that comes within their territory.” you mention.

“Then absolutely! Mina Kazanari will do her best to help you out!” Mina says pumping her fist into the air.

“Good, now let’s get going to the camp.” you tell her.

When you approached the Demonic shrine this time, you took the longer route around in order to avoid snow pirates. But this time as you head towards them you run into trouble almost right away. Just before the street where you took out the snow pirates a few days ago, you can already see a group of four snow pirates walking down the street, one of them carrying a torch to help the others see. Three of the pirates are carrying spears, while they’re all wearing the same metal armor that is basically old world street signs and appear to be highly alert. It appears they have increased patrols since your last visit.
>>
>>22129467

[2/2]

Last time you had a blizzard to help you out, but this time the night is crystal clear and the air is calm. You’re using Darkness control to help hide you and Mina for the moment, but they’ll probably figure out something is wrong when they approach you and see a big sphere of darkness on the edge of their vision. Worse yet, they’re probably all closer together unlike the first night. Mina will be able to see the group up ahead normally, but whenever or not she’d see well in the rest of the city without light is an issue.

You begin to think on what you can possibly do.
>>
Last time the tentacles of darkness to the leg plan seemed to work well. Mina should be able to provide an excellent distraction.

I propose that Mina go ahead and dive in, then we'll come in behind and hit their legs. If Mina can see in the dark we can cover the torch in darkness as well.
>>
>>22129479
We should extinguish their torch with Darkness control, than blind them with darkness.
Then, have Mina charge in, while we provide support with either tentacles or light magic.
>>
>>22129479
Okay, these guys can be our ticket into their base without any trouble. Find a nice place that we can "collapse" and look like lost girls who are helpless in the snow.

Have Mina inspire emotion them to make them not paranoid about us showing up but instead feel some greed and overconfidence. They approach us, we say "Please help us" while Suggesting the leader with Hidden Message that he should take us directly to his boss and the boss will no doubt reward him for bringing him such a bounty.
>>
>>22129602
I vote this.
>>
>>22129602
Actually, that isn't bad.
>>
>>22129602

Are we sure we want to be in the middle of their base? Do we know how many we'd be facing? Do we know we can beat them all at once?

Using Suggestion and emotional control might be useful as a way to get them into the shrine without a fight though. I'm confident that we can take them in a straight up fight, so perhaps stretching our manipulation muscles a bit as well might be a good idea.
>>
>>22129636
And then we can suggest the leader to take everyone to the shrine in some way or another. Like convince him that the shrine is very valuable and that he need a lot of people to move it.
>>
>>22129674
Oh sure, we can take the patrol out easy. We could turn off their torch and fill them pew pew them with laser and make tentacles eat them. Mina could take them alone with her eyes closed and rip out their hearts.

Hell, we might even be able to take them out in their base, we kill the leader the rest'll not stay and fight in an organized fashion.

But the goal of this expedition isn't just to kill the Snow Pirates, it's to get them to the shrine for some ritualistic sacrifice.

>>22129710
That was the next step. Once we get close to him Mina greeds him up a couple dozen notches, we suggest, with hidden words or not, that there's treasure, riches, and so on here, but that other groups might have heard of it so if he doesn't want anyone else to have it than he has to take all of his men there and secure it.
>>
>>22129674
I actually kind of like your plan. Take the patrol - live - to the shrine for the queens to feed from. Possibly save one back to terrify and get info out of.
>>
>>22129741

We'll probably split one to top off before heading for the base. I also think that picking away at the base is the smarter move. Show ourselves and get some to come out and attack us, that way we know how many we face and we have the ability to disengage if it gets too hot (find a corner, DARKNESS, wait).
>>
>>22129792
Killing the base off at the base isn't what we're looking to do. We're just fine on Aether right now, we're trying to bring snack packs to the Queens.

The easiest way to do that is to get their boss to tell them to go there, and we can't really accomplish that if we're murdering the fuck out of all of them.

>>22129674
We won't be fighting them in the middle of the base. We'd manipulate the fuck out of the boss, they'd go to the shrine, we sacrifice them there.
>>
>>22129792
Agreed. We should be picking off patrols until our numbers are up or theirs are down.

Also, MAKE SURE we find out (From the leader of the patrol, ideally, so maybe we should be saving him to split) what the pirates at the base know about the shrine, if anything. They're the prime suspects to have taken our body.
>>
>>22129846

It a HUGE risk to strut into the base and tell the boss what he's going to do. We know next to nothing about the numbers or abilities of the pirates and you're assuming that we're going to be successful at manipulating the boss. Our dice rolling has been horrid for most of these threads.
>>
>>22129941
It hasn't been all that bad, Mina making his emotional state receptive to it will make it easier, and we wouldn't be strutting into the base, we'd be taken into the base as far as they were concerned.

Interrogating the patrol for information on the rest of them isn't a bad idea though.
>>
>>22129941

we should get Mina to set up a suitable welcome party for the pirates at the shrine room, we could use darkness control to separate one of the soldiers from the group and lure him to us. we could act scared/frightened and using hidden suggestion, while that there is something out here trying to kill us, suggest him to tell us about their force composition. then we could offer him 'anything' inexchange for saving us, while using hidden suggestion to implant the command to take us to their leader, where we can execute phase 2 of the plan.
Phase 2 consisting of coercing the pirate leader to go the shrine with promises of riches and old world weapons tech, then leading him to the shrine where Mina can throw the welcome party for them...

i could draft out conversation ideas if required...
>>
>>22130117
>then we could offer him 'anything' inexchange for saving us
we should be careful here not to promise anything.
Or we may find ourselves doing something we don't want.

“Mina, I have a plan.” you say whispering into her ear. “Remember that thing you did back at the bar to make everyone worked up? Could you make someone feel more confident instead of happy?”

“In theory I should be able to.” Mina whispers back.

“Good, I got a plan. We’re going to make these guys take us to their leader. We’re going to pretend to be helpless women who tripped up. You hit them with your emotion magic, and then I hit them with my social magic to make them take us back to their boss as a present. Once we’re there, we can just brainwash the boss into heading into the shrine itself.” you say.

“Ooohhh! That’s an excellent plan! I like it!” Mina says.

You drop the darkness sphere you were using for cover around you and Mina. You pull on Mina’s arm to make her stand up. Both you and her run across the street then ‘accidently’ fall into the snowy street halfway. While planned, you did get a mouthful of snow by accident.

“What was that!?” one of the snow pirates say as they rush over to both you and Mina. They quickly go over to both you and Mina, three of them pointing their spears down at you.

“‘ell ‘ell ‘ell, look wot we ‘ave ‘ere!” the one with the torchlight says, smiling while he looks down upon you.

“D-Don’t kill us! Please let us go! We wouldn’t stand a chance against all of you!” Mina pleads.

All of the snow pirates give a hearty chuckle as they look at Mina plead.
>>
>>22130298

[2/3]

“...Oi... Aren’t ye da lass who works at dat Adamant Door place? Ta one wit da brown skin? You’re just as pretty as ye look!” The man with the torch says grabbing Mina’s wrist and pulling her up. Mina fakes trying to pull away from him. “Oh don’t worry lass... we’re gonna ‘ave some fun wit ya before we let ya go...”

“N-No! Please don’t hurt my friend! (Your boss would reward you if you brought two girls like us to him)” you plead with the pirate, loading your sentence with a hidden meaning.

The pirate with the light stops just as he’s about to lick Mina’s cheek. “...And ‘ere I go thinkin wit mai dick again! If we bring the boss back sloppy seconds, then he’d have our ‘eads!”

“But it’s been so long since we’ve had any!” one of the spearmen complains.

“You dolt! I ain’t goin ta risk pissin off da boss when he punishes da entire group!” the leader says.

“Dat’s... Dat’s a good point...” the spearman says after a few seconds. He moves his spear away from you before pulling you up on your feet and putting your hands behind your back. It stings a little with how rough he is with you, but you can bear it.

“Now come ya tossers! Back to da base!” the torchman says as he begins to bring you back to the base.

“And I’ll take that!” one of the spearmen says as he grabs your axe.
>>
>>22130310

[3/5]

The pirates take you both to the Pirate base that you saw before. It looks the same as last time only that they’ve beefed up security. Three archers appear to be in every tower around the perimeter. The large Old World ruined bus is pushed out of the way, allowing you to enter the base. As you enter the base itself, you can see no less than about two dozen other pirates wandering around the area, all of them wearing the same armour as the one’s who captured you. The majority of their weapons appear to be spears and bows, with only the more elite ones having actual swords. The smell of cooked meat fills the air as you walk past a bear hanging over a fireplace, the pirates next to it drinking some stolen beer and laughing as they become drunk. You can see into a nearby tent, seeing what appears to be a prisoner area. You can see a rather roughed up mercenary and the pants of a merchant, but you’re unable to see much else inside of the tent before you’re pulled along.

One thing you do notice is that the camp isn’t that populated for it’s size. You’re not a military man, but you can guess the reason for this is because most of the pirates are currently out on patrol. They must’ve taken the disappearance of their men that you killed very seriously.
>>
>>22130333

[4/4]

The pirates lead you to a large tent in the middle of the camp, one decorated with odd symbols and strange runes. A few guards, wearing more metal than the ones carrying you, wave you and the the pirates into the large tent. As you enter, you can see several fireplaces scattered around the tent, all of them burning to make the place fairly warm. In the center of the tent, a large man can be seen with two scantily clad women holding onto the man. The large man appears to be more like a mountain than a man. He’s wearing an old world military vest that has been redecorated with pirate symbols and torn open to show his hairy chest. He appears to be rather fat, but at the same time built like an ox. His face shows a man in his early 40’s with a long mustache, semi-bald head of brown hair, and brown eyes full of conviction. His hat itself is none other than a bear head, while the blanket him and his trophy girls rest atop of is none other than an elaborate bear skin blanket.

“Oi boss! Lookie at what we found out on patrol! Two girls! One of them being that brown bitch from the Adamant door we heard others talking about!” the torchman says pushing you both forward and on your knees.

The Pirate boss looks down upon you both, stroking his chin as he ponders what to do for you.

(OK, stunting time. Both you and Mina have a shot to use suggestion against the guy. Roll and stunt separately for you and Mina. Anything in Brackets will be considered a Hidden Message for Suggestion and cannot be heard. Remember Mina does not have the hidden message upgrade for suggestion. A)

>>
>>22130344
Okay, first have Mina use her emotional control to inspire greed on the boss, and maybe a bit of lust, not too much. Hit his subordinates with this as well.

Mina uses suggestion and acts like she's in a panic and is scared "Please don't hurt us. We were exploring and we found a stockpile Old World treasure and weaponry, we were just going to get back to the Fort to get equipment and friends to bring it back, please don't hurt us."

We also use suggestion "Please don't hurt us, we'll show you exactly where it is if you let us go safe. [Why don't I have these girls show me and all of my men where the treasure is and make them think I'll do what they say? I can take the treasure for myself and then keep them and not let them go, fuck them atop of my new pile of treasure and weapons. I have been looking for some more concubines. But I should go now, if two stupid girls could find the treasure some one else might find it if I wait.]"
>>
>>22130344
"Please dont hurt us! If you let us go i can show you and a small group of people where a very valuable demon shrine is! (This is obviously a trap and you should not bring a small group but as many people as you can manage. You should feel proud of yourself for seeing through the lies.)

“What were you girls doing on our lands?” the Pirate boss asks, his voice deep and gruff.

“W-We were just investigating a claim of finding a hidden cache of old world weaponry and technology we heard about in this area! We were just about to head back to the Fort before you caught us! P-Please don’t hurt us!” Mina begs, tears welling up in her eyes.

“Hurt... Oh I won’t hurt either of you right now..” the boss getting up and walking over to both you and Mina. He places his thumb and index finger between your mouth and holds it closed, his grip feels almost like steel. “...But it may be a different story once I begin training you both...”

The guards around the boss chuckle as they watch the boss look you over like a piece of meat.

“P-Please don’t hurt us! We’ll show you where it is! (Go to the Shrine, we’ll lead you there.)” you beg.

“We have all the time in the world. If we don’t know about that cache, then others don’t know of it as well. We’ll investigate it later once you’re... introduced to the rest of the family.” The boss says.

The boss seems to freeze when looking upon you. You greedy gaze remains the same, but the lanterns inside of his head light up as if he gains ideas.

“...The Rabid Wolves are attacking our territory. Like us they’d have an increased presence of scouts inside of the area. If we didn’t seize this chance of collecting old world tech then we’d be fools if we didn’t capitalize upon it, and if we don’t then the Wolves would get it before us!” The Boss says as he walks to what appears to be an elaborate and well crafted set of armor made for him, including what appears to be a banner for his group. “Gather two hands of guards, leave one behind to defend the base! We’re going to seize this before our enemies do! Go tell the men to get ready”

“Yes boss! Right away boss!” the torchman says as he heads out to get the men ready.

Both you and Mina cannot help but crack a small smile to each other while no one is watching.

[2/2]

It takes about 15 minutes for the pirates to completely gather their forces. About two dozen pirates led by their massive leader begin to march down the street, holding their banners and torches high. They march down the street in formation, guards constantly watching out for any sign of an ambush. Two guards keep a spear on both you and Mina at all times while you lead the Pirates towards the shrine building. It doesn’t take very long at all since it’s fairly close to their base.

“...So you’re saying the cache is in here?” the boss asks you and Mina as he stands in front of the office building.

“Y-yes! It’s in a bunker hidden below the construction in the basement!” you tell him.

“Very well. Both of you lead the way. If we’re going into a trap, then you’ll be the ones to take the brunt of it.”

Well so far so good. The pirates begin to follow you inside of the building in two single line files. Your mind now begins to churn, wondering what the next part of your plan should be. The Pirates may be a bit leery once they find it’s a demonic shrine rather than a cache of old world tech, but even pirates know to fear and respect demons.

(Sorry, got distracted >>)

>>22131397
how many are coming with us to the shrine?
>>
>>22131409

24 soldiers, 1 leader.
>>
>>22131352

once we get down to the shrine, that is when the fun begins.
begin by plunging the entire room into darkness - probably just extinguishing their torches.
then pull Mina out into the stairwell so she can deal with anyone who tries to run.
then we start the offering.
using darkness tentacles to deal with 20 of the soldiers, we can then make a play with the remaining five. we might even be able to milk them for some fear/anger emotions before their deaths.

also, do you want us to roll?
>>
>>22131352
>>22131397
Why can't they get at them alive? They managed to knock us out when we visited just now. They managed to feed on people who stumbled upon them before. I was kind of expecting the pirates to just sort of drop dead when we entered the room.
>>
Do they have us actually bound? If not then once we get in the room blast them with light and have Mina start throwing them around, as they're trying to get up we'll spear them in their vulnerable bits with darkness. If it quiets down enough Mina can start breaking necks and the like, but to start with she should just be trying to distract them while we're performing killing blows.
>>
>>22131352
>>22131397
Okay, we'll lead them down the stairs to the shrine where we are going to murderify them. Them we snap off all of their lights at the same time that Mina, who is standing right by the big boss, rips his heart out to remove any source of leadership.

Then summon up tentacles at the back of the group to scare the bejeezus out of them, kill any stragglers, and force them farther into the shrine where we're waiting with laser beams and Mina is waiting with neck breaking kung-fu action.

Or we could have Mina after killing the boss use her super speed to get behind them and force them into a merciless barrage of tentacles and lasers.

If anyone gets too close to use we turn up the gravity on them as a defensive measure.

We should be able to blast spells non stop due to all the fear we'll be feeding on.
>>
>>22131352
Once in the room extinguish their torches, have Nina deal with the leader, while we use tentacles on the soldiers. Also, use a blinding flash (light magic) to disorient them.
>>
>>22131438

It'd be the difference of serving someone a meal all ready for them compared to giving them raw ingredients and telling them prepare it themselves.
>>
>>22131452
Addition to this, since we can start it on the stairs they'll be bunched up, tripping over each other, and running frantically due to fear and darkness which makes them easy targets.

Also the flashes of bright lasers will disorient them more and not let their eyes adjust to the dark at all.

>>22131438
They might be able to, but we're bringing our dear Queens some food, we may as well be polite about it and spill the tasty blood for them. They haven't eaten in 352 years, it'd be rude to ask them to do the grunt work themselves. They deserve a nice snack.
>>
>>22131493
So we could. It's just that being full-service minions gets us more brownie points.
>>
also if we want could go the whole entire horror movie rout to generate more food. however lets play it safe.
>>
>>22131551
We can't really risk that one at our current strength and experience, I don't think.
>>
>>22131493
S'not like they have anything else to do stuck in that shrine for centuries. They'd probably enjoy a bit of cooking.

>>22131512
>Grunt work
Oh, right. If they have to expend aether to kill them that reduces the effectiveness of the meal which was the whole point of this.
>>
>>22131551

maybe when there are a few of them left, but not from the start.....
actually we could use darkness control to make some weird shadows on the way down... consider it preparing the ingredients...
>>
>>22131551
>>22131567
We're still new to our powers and it's 25 elite soldiers vs 2 so I'd say even fighting them normally was pretty risky. The Queens can always step in if it goes badly so we're probably safe, but we definitely shouldn't play around.
>>
>>22131618
This is obvious. Worst come to worst, we rip off one of each of their legs with our shadow powers, as previously, and stand at the top of the stairs to push anyone who comes hopping up to us back down. Then we wait for them to bleed to death. Undignified, but it gets the job done.
>>
>>22131618

[1/2]

“I-I’m so sorry Mina... (Get near the leader. As soon as everyone is down the stairs, kill him.)” you ‘ask’ Mina.

Mina takes a few steps closer to the boss pirate, just enough so that she’s within arm’s reach.

As the guards make their way down the stairs, you use your darkness control to make the shadows flicker and illusion magic to make them see shapes out of the corner of their eye that only seem to vanish when they look upon them. You can begin to taste a slight tint of a sweet yet spicy flavour filling your mouth as you descend.

“Quit the complaining back there! You’ve been through worse!” the Leader barks out, almost as if knowing on instinct that his men are scared.

You head down deeper into the construction site. Deeper and deeper into the abyss...

The Mina springs her plan into action. Ripping off the rope that was tying up her hands as if it wasn’t even there, she rushes forward in a massive burst of speed, slamming the boss in the back with such force that it instantly pulps all of the massive creature’s internal organs. The pirate boss’s corpse skips along out of the way, back into the darkness.

“B-Boss!” the soldiers gasp as they see their boss vanish into the darkness.
>>
>>22131894

[2/3]
You turn around to face the pirates, a large smile on your face. “Oh I’m sorry gentlemen... but you’ve just stumbled into our trap...” You use your darkness control to snuff out most of the torches to only a mere fraction of their power, but still allow them enough light to see the large red and white eyes that seem to come out of your dissolved body. You begin to make a small and sadistic chuckle as you continue to make the room darker and darker.

“F-Fuck this! RUN FOR IT!” the pirate soldiers say as they bolt for the exit, but you already have that blocked off by making several large and thick tentacles made of darkness with glowing red eyes. They lash out at the guards attempting to escape, one of them stealing a spear from them and snapping it’s metal shaft between it’s razor sharp teeth. You meanwhile step back into the darkness and cloak yourself inside of it.

“R-Run!” the guards say as they bolt into the construction site. You can hear Mina running around harassing some of the guards towards the shrine area. You also help as well, making monsters and darkness tentacles leap out of the darkness towards the terrified soldiers. The sweet and spicy flavor seems to reach almost overwhelming levels as you continue to lead the guards into the shrine area.
>>
>>22131910

[3/3]

You can see Mina head down into the shrine, which you think is a good call as you have a greater reach with your darkness and light magic. Judging from the screams coming down from below in the shrine, you think Mina is handling herself quite nicely.

After about five minutes, most of the carnage appears to be over. You do a careful sweep of the construction area for any stragglers. Sure enough, you manage to hear the sobs of one who managed to hide himself.

You walk over to see it’s the man who took your axe earlier. He’s clutching onto it while hiding behind several bags of dried cement. Tears stream down his face as he quakes in fear, not daring to make a single sound.

Your mind beings churn of whenever or not you should play with your prey or not...
>>
>>22131917
Just make it quick, put him out of his misery. No need to play.
>>
>>22131917
Didn't we want to maintain our morality? Even thinking of them as "prey" already seems a little out of line.
>>
>>22131917

Take the axe, give him a kiss, leave half for Mina, tell her not to waste time.

We gots business to do.
>>
>>22131917
Play with him, we deserve a bit of fun.

Have some tentacles bind him down and have one take the axe from him and give it to us while he sees flickers of terrible monsters to either side of him.

Use a bit of light magic to make it look like we're glowing, make us look otherworldly, divine, and possibly a bit angelic. Put on our best gentle smile, saunter over to him, have the tentacles lift him up, and then kiss him and eat his soul.

These guys are pirates, evil motherfuckers. They make excellent prey, they don't deserve mercy.

We're going to kill them, so we may as well get some emotional tastiness from them as well. Eating his delicious raw Aether spiced with intense emotion ought to be really nice.

Play with him.

>>22132009
We have morals, we don't kill the innocent, but these guys fall far outside those bounds.
>>
>>22132032
Exactly. Let's not go overboard. Let him sweat some, then Kiss him. Remember to save some for Mina, though.
>>
>>22131917

why kill him? we could have a 180 mood swing and act friendly to him. the sudden change in our approach should mean that we could have some fun that may or may not end in killing him. though binding him to the altar is a definate
>>
>>22132032
They don't deserve mercy, true. But unnecessary cruelty lowers us to their level. Haven't you heard of cruelty to animals?
>>
>>22132056

There's still more of them. We want to finish this, find out how much loot we have and free the prisoners.

How much space do we have at home because our place is filling up really fast.
>>

That's a good point. We could play good-demon-bad-demon and get information out of him. And then, y'know, probably eat him.

being cruel to them doesn't excuse the cruelty.
It's not JUSTICE!
>>
>>22132065
They kinda deserve it, and it's not unnecessary cruelty if they're bad people and it feeds us more.

>>22132053
You make a good point, we should share him with Mina, it'd be impolite not to. As she said earlier we are BFFs.

>>22132095
We're not taking the prisoners back to our place, we just don't have enough room for that. I'm sure somewhere in Fort Hope will take them in.

>>
>>22132145
Look, I personally - and a lot of your ideological opponents - dislike the idea of eating joe average's fear, but pirates? They're scum and they're a food source we can milk a bit without feeling guilty about it.
>>
>>22132132

We'll have to make the decision about what to do with them once we find out more about them. If they are useful then we'll want to keep them (voluntarily of course) if they aren't useful we'll find someone to take them in.
>>
>>22132173
Look, no matter how cruel they may be, they are still sentient living beings, and treating them the same way they treat others negates any moral high ground we may have over them.
Or at least, this is how I see it. Obviously, we're not going to be able to come to a complete agreement in this case.

How about this for a compromise: we make him sweat insofar as it provides us information or serves some purpose beyond "it feels good". We have an entire roomful of souls, so I doubt the queens would mind us skimming a little off the top to make up for losing this little bit of fear.
>>
>>22132149
That goes without saying, but I don't think a smallish band of pirates like these guys would have a succubutt. We're going to need a bigger bed to fit everyone and put Brodin on the couch.

[1/2]

A small grin grows over your face as you figure out how to play with him.

You generate your darkness tentacles, making them slither over to him. They quickly wrap around his arms, the last one biting into your axe and ripping it away from his hands.

“Ah! AAHH!” the man screams as he tries to reach his knife, but the tentacles are too strong.

You then throw on your light magic. Adjusting it so that a small halo shines over your head while the rest of your body shines with a gentle glow of the rising sun. You gently walk over to the man, putting on your most gentle smile. The main simply stares at you in a mixture of both awe and fear, paralyzed by your angelic visage.

Your tentacles lift him up to his feet, propping him up in front of you.

You smile gently as you stroke your hand across his cheek, gently and wordlessly wiping away his tears. His state of emotion doesn’t change, but rather becomes more and more intense.

You slowly wrap your arms around his quivering body before you bring your lips to meet his, gently kissing him on the lips. The pirate is stunned at first, but then seems to relax and throw himself into it. Sure enough you can feel his soul slowly being pulled out of his body bit by bit and into your mouth. A wondrous sweet taste fills your mouth as you suck out his soul, the pirate either seemingly ignorant or accepting of his ultimate fate.
>>
>>22132298

[2/2]

After a few minutes, you feel the pirates soul run dry. You drop the man’s corpse on the floor. You have your tentacle pass you back your axe as you head down towards the shrine to see how Mina is doing.

You walk back down towards the shrine, only to see that Mina has handled herself quite well. Piles of managed pirate bodies litter the floor. Bodies beat and broken into shapes that bodies definitely don’t naturally bend in. Mina herself is sitting on the altar, drinking a flask of water from the pirates.

“Everything go smoothly?” you ask her.

“Got a few scrapes from two who actually fought back. Kinda surprised me.” Mina says showing cuts on her arm and torso, but they’re mainly just grazes more than actual deep wounds.

“Perfect, looks like this is a job well done.” you tell Mina.

“What are we going to do about the prisoners and poor women back at the camp? We can’t just leave them right?” Mina asks.
>>
"Nope, we're going to go back and see how many pirates are left. If it's just the group that was left behind we'll wipe them out, grab anything we can haul of value, grab the prisoners and bail"

Oh right, nearly forgot.

SKILL UP! Darkness Control: Good!
You are able to make medium amounts of matter out of pure darkness (such as the size of a bicycle). Said objects need to be simple (EX: No machine guns, though bows and arrows are alright). Able to increase or decease local gravity by a factor of four about 25 meters around yourself only. Can snuff out light equal to a lot of floodlight.

Can see perfectly in darkness

Able to jump between shadows that are within visual range (Actual shadows, not just complete darkness)
>>
>>22132362

if there are any left in their base, we can always say that their boss was trapped in the vault and needed their help in fighting his way out... that way we could get more offerings...

But for now we should make sure the Queens got our sacrifice and clean up a bit, don't want to leave their altar a mess."
>>
>>22132403
>Able to jump between shadows that are within visual range
And then we buy a pair of binoculars.

So we still can't make a machine gun of shadows, but could we conceivably create and propel the individual bullets? Tiny accelerated pieces of mass count as simple, right?

>>
>>22132450

You could make small pieces of darkness fly at fast speeds towards a target yes. Darkness control at this time is still limited to simple objects. Think of it like this: If the T-1000 (the one that was liquid metal) could make it, then so can darkness control. Only thing is we can make simply projectiles too
>>
OK, from what I got from the voting so far, assuming I read and counted right, was:

B) Attempt to contact the Queens: 2

C) Go back to base and attempt to lure rest of Pirates into shrine: 2

D) Stab: 0

“The pirates back at the base are probably going to be extremely leery that we’d go back to them alone. Add in the fact that their leader is now gone as well and it’s going to be very difficult for any one pirate left at the base to reunite them all if Janette was right. We’ll just need to go back and finish them off.” You tell Mina. “Once that is done, we’ll bring the survivors back to the town. They’ll probably look them over to make sure they’re not undead spies but hopefully they won’t throw them out.”

“Wait... Undead spies?” Mina asks.

“Yea. About ten miles South of Fort Hope is a large necro zone. The natives there don’t exactly take too kindly to Langy’s family and anything connected to it.” You tell her.

“Well this is news! Let’s ask for their help in overthrowing Langy!” Mina suggests.

“VERY difficult. The only people who actually know the history of that necrozone is the Langy family historians. What’s worse is that anyone going into that Necrozone doesn’t come back out. It’s part of the reason why Fort Hope has so many mercenaries.” you tell Mina. “Anywho let’s get going to the pirate camp now.”

“Aye aye!” Mina says following behind you, the path illuminated by the halo of light around your head.

******

You head back towards the pirate base, peering around the corner to look out over the edge. The boss appears to have orders a lot of archers away from the post, as right now there is only one archer per tower remaining.
>>
>>22132878

[2/4]

“Alright Mina, you take out the archers in the rear, I’ll take the front.” you tell her.

“Right!” Mina says as she leaps up onto one of the ruined buildings, after she springs off of it towards the right rear guard tower. The entire top of the guard tower simply seems to explode into wooden chunks, most likely vaporizing the guard up inside of it.

“W-we’re under attack!” One of the archers says as he draws his bow.

You step out into the open, snuffing all nearly all the light the archer towers give off, but enough for Mina to see. You walk towards the base, pointing each hand at one archer and firing pure white beams of light at them. Of them screams as a section of his arm is vaporized by the blast, but you seem to miss the other. The remainings archer’s reflexes seem to be quicker than his fear response, as he quickly lets loose an arrow in your direction. It flies straight towards you, the bladed tip of the arrow just skimming across your armor.

You stumble down in the snow from the impact of the arrow just grazing your leg. You quickly get up on your side however and fire another array of lasers at the archer who shot you, impacting him in the chest and melting his armor. The man screams as he bursts into flames, tumbling over the side of the tower.
>>
>>22132885

[3/4]

You walk over to the bus blockade that is in front of you. You take a deep breath to try and summon up a darkness tentacle. It forms under the bus, merely shaking the bus at first before you put more effort and aether into it. The bus is then catapulted into the air, the multi-ton metal wreck soaring a good 15 or so feet into the air before it crashes into the southwestern guard tower.

You can see Mina inside of the base, quickly ramming her elbow into a spearman’s chest before pulling up her arm and breaking his neck. She then runs towards the two honor guard pirates who were in front, deftly dodging their blows. Her fist seems to have a white glow for a split second before she punches one of the honor guards, sending him flying out of the camp and into one of the tall old world buildings, followed by a roundhouse kick the breaks the neck of the one next to him.

You summon up your darkness powers around you, flickers of darkness gathering around you as you walk into the base. One of the pirates tries to charge at you with his spear. With just a glance, you summon one of your darkness tentacles to trip him up before summoning several more razor mawed tentacles to rip him apart on the ground.

You then glance up at the pirate who was behind the charging pirate. He takes one good look at both you and Mina, before grabbing his knife and tossing his spear aside, before he slits himself in throat, collapsing to the ground while he gurgles out blood.
>>
>>22132890

[4/4]

You then make your ways towards the prisoner section of the camp, cutting off the lights in tent before entering inside.

“I-IT’S THE MO-” one of the guards tries to yell as you enter, but you quickly make a tentacle of darkness wrap around your mouth.

As you look at the prisoners, you can see there are two of them. One appears to be a merchant of some sort, just by looking at his colourful clothing. The other appears to be a Mercenary from the merc group known as the ‘Wolf Pack’ back at home. Right now both of them are blindfolded and gagged while inside of a steel cage. Judging by their worried moans, they’re probably scared by what’s gotten the pirates so riled up and the sounds of battle outside.
>>
Consume the pirate (share with Mina if she needs it), have Mina open the cage and free the prisoners (probably faster than looking for keys).

See if there's anything of value around.
>>
>>22132899
We should probably make our appearance different from normal, another fake identity, we don't want them to know that Brooklyn is their savior, could make things awkward in town.

Interrogate the living one as to the location of any valuables and so on and then let Mina consume him if she's feeling low, if not then we'll share him between the two of us.

Then we free the prisoners, the girls, and so on. Make sure they have warm enough clothing for the trip back.

Gather up any high value loot as well, no point in leaving it behind.
>>
intriguing that pirate took his own life i am probably paranoid but he may have killed himself to keep something secret.

thinking we could bluff to the prisoners that we escaped in the confusion and we must get out of here. Of course make sure mina cleans off her blood (we are trying to look like prisoners trying to make a break for it)

You leave the prisoners where they are for the moment, heading back outside while dragging the pirate behind you out towards Mina.

“Hey Mina, I found this guy who was guarding the prisoners. You need a snack?” you ask her.

Mina herself is currently sitting next to a fireplace, apparently having finished mopping up the pirates.

“Oh thanks! I am a little drained at the moment!” Mina says as she walks towards the Pirate. You can taste the sweet spice pouring off his aura as Mina walks over to him.

Mina wraps her arms around the pirate and the darkness tentacles. “Itadakimasu!” she says she then moves her lips towards his. There is only the brief utterance of a scream before Mina’s lips cover his and she begins draining his soul. It’s kind of an odd feeling watching it compared to the one actually doing it. Your mouth does water as Mina continues to suck out the man’s soul. The man’s eyes seem to slowly roll back into his head as his body seems to convulse from his soul being sucked out.

“Alright Mina. My turn now.” you say about after two minutes. But as you grab onto Mina’s arm and try to pull her away, you feel that she’s resisting. “Oh come on!”

You try to pry her off, but you’re unsuccessful in your attempts. You’re about to try your darkness tentacles before Mina finally drops the dead body. “He he... Sorry... I was pretty hungry as I was in focus mode for nearly the entire fight.”

You give out a small groan of disapproval. “Fine fine... But you owe me one. Now you go and hide yourself. Your clothes are all bloody. I’ll try to convince the prisoners to get back to Fort Hope.”

“Okey doke!” Mina says as she leaps out of the basecamp and into one of the damaged old world skyscrapers.

You head towards the merchant and the mercenary. Changing your appearance to that of a red-headed woman just a bit taller than what you are now with freckles and a scar on her cheek, in addition to giving yourself a small accent to your voice.

You summon darkness tentacles to rip off the locks of the cages before stepping into them. You take off the blindfold and the gag of the mercenary first.

“Who are you!?” the Mercenary asks in a surprised tone.

“Miranda. Look I don’t have time to explain. My group just wiped out this pirate base, but we’re worried that more can come any minute now. I want you to take the merchant and the two slave girls that are in the leaders tent and get back to Fort Hope. Can you do that?”

[3/4]

“I’m a bit sore... But yea... I can do that...” the guard says as he rotates his shoulders after you untie his hands.

“Good, now get moving.” you tell him.

“Don’t need to tell me twice.” the mercenary says as he heads towards the noble, undoing his restraints. “Come on Sir Elgar, we’re scramming while the scramming is good!”

“But what about my merchandise!?” the merchant asks.

“We’ve been under for days! Pirates probably took most of it! Anywho if you want you can pay us to raid the base when we get back to Fort Hope, but right now we need to get out of here with our lives!” the merc captain says as he helps Elgar up.

The mercenary guard captain also goes to fetch the two girls, who were apparently the daughters of the merchant.

“T-Thank you... I owe you for saving our lifes Miranda.” Elgar says to you.

“Thank me when you return to the city. I still need to stay behind to make sure none of them chase after you.” you reply.

“R-Right... Noted...” Elgar replies.

The Merc, Elgar, and his daughters quickly make it out of the camp and speed towards Fort Hope with all speed. You give them your traveller food of a few old world dry noodles as they need it more than you. Once they’re around the corner, Mina comes out from her cover.

“Well that was easy!” Mina replies.

“Indeed. Now let’s see what valuables the Pirates had in this little base.” you say as you begin to come the base.

After some searching, you can see the bodies of nearly eight more Wolf Pack mercenaries, all dead except for their ID tags. A lot of the pirate armor and weapons became useless scrap during the fight, but as you enter the pirate’s storage tent, you can see where the merchant’s stock went. A large array of metal items, such as pots, pans, forks, knifes, horseshoes, swords, axes, and spears can be found inside. Some of it is looted, but the majority of it is still largely intact. You could sell it for quite a bit yourself, but Elgar would probably be ecstatic himself if you found his wares as well. The wagon the merchant brought it on is still outside, but missing the horse needed to pull it.
>>
On the one hand we can ask Mina to pull it, on the other hand I don't think that would be rather conspicuous. I say we take the choicest (and easest to pawn) bits and move out. We've spent enough time here, we need to get some sleep so we can take care of our duties for the day.
>>
>>22133262
First thing to do, give Mina a hug and a kiss, we just had an excellent evening, we killed pirates, we saved people, we sacrificed people to our Queens, life is going pretty alright.

I wish the horse was still around, but if it's not around and there aren't any stables we'll have to make do.

Well, Mina has super strength so it won't be that hard to drag it back, so load it up with valuable, maybe take a few nice pelts as souvenirs and to spruce up our apartment, though for the last stretch when people might be able to see us we'll want it to look like we're both pushing it and having trouble doing so. We can also assist in the pushing with shadow tentacles and ride on top of it.

As for selling it ourself, if we're going to fence it Elgar is going to notice, and we're really not desperate for money anyways. It will also take a lot more work to sell it off like that and we'll get enough money from Elgar anyways.
>>
The thing is, most of this stuff won't be Elgar's, and once people hear the pirates have been cleared out, they'll be swarming in to loot it. What we should do is loot what we can, particularly the valuables, then contact Elgar later to return him what's his.

You decide that you’re entitled to somewhat of a “helpers fee”, considering you save the merchant’s life and his daughters. You grab two metal swords from one of the crates. Being mostly metal, you’ll be able to sell them for a fairly decent amount. The rest you’ll tell Elgar about back at base camp, assuming that the rest of it hasn’t been picked to bits by then. You’d take it all, but some people would probably ask questions when they see Mina pulling the cart.

“I found some whiskey!” Mina cheers as she crushes the glass top and begins to drink it. “You find anything good!?”

“The merchant’s stash. We’ll tell him about it when we get back, assuming it hasn’t been picked to pieces already.” you tell Mina. “But regardless, tonight was an excellent night! We fed the Queens, rescued some people, and killed off some pirates. And I couldn’t have done it without you.” You summon some darkness tentacles that give Mina a push into your open embrace, quickly closing your arms around her and giving her a hug.

“Aaawww... If anything I should be thanking you! Because of you I actually managed to be Knighted by Purple herself, see the outside world, and punish bad guys in the name of love and justice!” Mina says giving you a hug back. She gives you a small peck on the cheek. You giggle, giving her a small peck back.
>>
>>22133666

[2/3]

“Anyways, let’s go see how the Queen’s are doing before we head back to town.” you say to Mina as let go after a few seconds of hugging.

“Oh! Good thinking!” Mina says as she runs behind you while taking another mouthful of whiskey.

You head back to the Shrine area once again. The only difference being once you’re back in the shrine, the blackout to go to sleep is instant rather than the gradual effect like last time.

******

“HAHAHAHA!!!” you can hear both Lamia and Mina laughing at something very loudly.

“Ugh...” you rub your eyes as you wake up, seeing your back in the astral prison. “What’s so funny...”

You can see Lamia and Mina looking at an old world television set, laughing to the point where tears are forming in their eyes. The rest of the Queen’s just look at the screen with bemused expression, except for Purple and Oksana who only appear to be facepalming.
>>
>>22133672

[3/3]

“...What’s so funny!?” you ask as you make your way over in between them. Looking at the screen, you can see that it’s a view of just what’s outside of the shrine. Amidst the pile of Pirate bodies, you can see your body has fainted with it’s face right in the middle of a dead Pirate’s crotch.

“...That’s not funny.” you reply looking at the screen.

“YES! YES IT IS!” Lamia laughs now rolling on her sides.

You can hear Purple clear her throat. “Cheap gags aside, we thank for what you did for us.”

“Yes! I can’t recall the last time I had something real to eat...” Janette sighs contently.

“So did you put any thought into what reward you want?” Oksana asks.

I think our combat abilities are sufficient at the moment. We haven't had a pressing need for healing at any point yet though that could change at any moment. Hmmmm, Healing or Aura Sight, which to choose.
>>
>>22133710

well after a brief discussion and weighing up options, i cast my vote for Aura sight. with it, we might be able to find the Lamian in fort hope... that and it should help with recon on patrol routes, after all, at higher levels, we will be able to see recently traveled routes... like patrols, or maybe even targets...

I think a ritual could be nice as well. Either counterspell or something just as utilitarian. Scrying could be useful as well. I see now though that consensus is on aura sight, and i am okay with that.

Also, if we now can manipulate gravity, does this mean we could ... fly?

And when you say vary gravity by a factor of 4, does this mean g0(earth gravity = 1g0), gal(cm/s^2) or m/s^2

"Aura Sight would be nice. I've been solving most of my problems through manipulation and cunning. Knowing people's emotions, tracking people, and identifying if someone is human or not, and what variety of non-human they are is invaluable.” you say to Roselle before turning down to look at Lamia and Mina laughing. “...And it’s not funny.”

“Aura sight is definitely an excellent choice. Gemelli live by their aura sight ability. It’s a bit tricky for non-Gemelli, but it’s easy enough once you know how. First step is that you need open both your eyes and mind to the world...” Roselle begins to tutor you in how to use Aura sight.

(NEW SPELL GAINED! AURA SIGHT (Basic)! By opening your eyes to the subtle flows of Aether, you can see what is often regarded as the higher truth of the world... or something like that! At this stage of Aura sight, you can make out multicoloured auras of people, and just from a glance determine their emotional state regardless of their poker face.)

“Now remember, focus the aether into your eyes, but not enough to blind yourself with it. Just a thin coating is all you need.” Roselle says.

As you open your eyes, you can see things in a new light. The colours on the Demon Queens appear to be a bit more dull, but surrounding each and everyone one of them appears to be a brilliant blaze of some sort of single colour.

“I.... I think I see it!” you exclaim as you look around at the Queen’s auras.

You can see Roselle’s aura shift quickly from a light blue colour into an orange red sort of
colour. “That’s it! Yes you got it!”

“Aura sight is useful, but you need to be careful that it is not infallible. Lamia, show her.” Janette calls out.

i shall try asking for a third time,
what ability encompasses sound?
from the list you have one would assume wind, but you may have a different structure in your mind...
>>
>>22133927
Given the current scaling of the Darkness we can reduce gravity to 2.45 m/s^2, and as it goes on it will asymptotically approach 0g, are we going to get reversing gravity at some point? And is changing the direction of local gravity going to be an option in the future?
>>
>>22133941

[2/3]

“Sure.” Lamia replies, her and Mina lying down in front of the TV set watching something on it. At first both Lamia and Mina have a bright violet colour for their auras, but Lamia’s quickly changes into a silver colour.

“Lamia’s Aura colour is a silver, despite the fact she’s excited from watching that damn show. Some creatures have the ability to warp their own auras to whatever colour they wish.” Roselle explains.

“Yea but it’s a pretty hard ability though. Laminians and Ayarians are the only ones who can do it easily.” Lamia says watching TV. You then notice next that her aura just suddenly vanishes. “Also this, but making an aura vanish completely is very difficult for most things. I doubt anyone in your town can pull something like this off though.”

“Now about about these wild Okarian emotions? Can you teach me the emotion controlling spell that the stoic Okarians seem to use?” You ask Oksana.

“There is no spell like that, and secondly I’m not like those stoic Okarians.” Oksana replies to you. “Deal with it.”

“Bu-”

Oksana uses Darkness control to put a pair of black sunglasses around her eyes. “Deal with it.”

“Oksana is under the mindset that she thinks it’s normal and healthy for Okarians to feel those emotions, despite the majority of her clan disagreeing with her. The stoic mindset Okarians have is just a mental attitude that many are taught of since birth. It doesn’t shut off emotions, but rather teaches them to bottle them up in a way. This does come with the pro of not experiencing emotions as intensely, but the problem is if their emotional floodgate breaks, then the emotional response afterwards will be extremely intense.” Miyu replies. “But needless to say, Oksana can’t teach you that. You’d need to find another Okarian who does this and ask her.”

(Any other questions you wish to ask? And wind control would allow you to control sound, apologies for not replying to this until now)

"There's another succubus in town, a Laminian. Any advice on finding her, tracking her movements, leaving messages intended for a succubus that other's won't look twice at?” you ask.

“If it’s a Laminian, then her options for blending in are somewhat limited.” Lamia says, not taking her eyes away from the television set. “She could constantly be hiding and stealthed, but that’s a pain the ass to constantly keep up. When I was out, of the favorite Laminian tactics for getting a meal ticket was to simply alter the memory of a family to let her in. Whenever it be suggestion to get them to adopt her or Memory alternation to make it so that she was always a member of the family.”

“Yes that is the most popular option for them isn’t it? Laminians always did have some trouble blending in due to their flawed shapeshifting.” Janine replies.

“I never found it to be a problem myself.” Lamia shrugs. “The second option is being a street urchin. You’d probably find them in children’s gangs if you town has those. Lastly, being something of an underground crime boss or information broker is the last option. It does raise questions of why a girl is leading a gang, but the people under her will usually be loyal enough not to care due to her results. Just don’t mistake them for children or teenagers. Laminians often act like them merely because they have to most time, but calling them children is a grave insult.”
>>
>>22134146

[2/2]

“I’d like to get another ally, but I’d like to be sure of her allegiance. Is there any way to tell whenever or not a Succubus is broken?” you ask.

“Broken spies were the number one problem back when we ruled. If the Succubus is a Belkarian, then you could make them do a promise like, ‘Promise me that if you’re broken you’ll jump out that window in five seconds from now.’ Granted Belkarians will not you yanking their chain like this, but it does work as if they are broken they’ll jump out the window or enter their depression stage.” Janette says. “But there is one simple way. Use Aura sight to check their aura to see if they’re lying, and hope they don’t know how to alter it’s colour.”
>>

"Gotcha, thanks for the advice ladies, it's greatly appreciated.

When I do the Aura sight thing I'll try to preface it with a number of other questions, even if they can do the Aura color hiding thing it ought to throw them off and maybe make it noticeable if it stops shifting naturally and looks more forced. Not a guarantee, but better than nothing.

Oh yeah, I've got a Reaper crashing on my couch now, clerical error messed up me being dead and he decided to take a vacation.

Lots of odd things happening to me lately, missing body, clerical error, I found this place because of an odd tip from a prospector. It's kinda suspicious if you ask me. I'm going to look into it, but if you have any ideas about this they'd be nice to hear."

“It IS a bit curious to figure out how someone tracked our shrine originally. I mean if they knew about our shrine, thought was trapped, then sent you to die, why would they want you dead? More importantly, *why* would they want your body specifically? Why couldn’t they just murder you and take your body that way? Are you some kind of important person on the outside?” Miyu asks.

“From what I read no. Brooklyn here appears to be completely average for most of his life. Aside from one magical social attack to erase a specific memory from when you were younger, I can’t see anything out of the ordinary.” Janine replies.

“Don’t read m- wait, I had a memory erased?” you ask Janine.

“Yes I think so. Back when you were in Castle Langy about a year back. You were teaching little Brothen, but then the following memories leading until you got back home don’t seem to fit altogether neatly.” Janine replies. “But the memory gap is only about three minutes, barely enough time for anything.”

“...Uh...” you say as you think about this. Going through your memories, you cannot find anything out of the ordinary, but then again a Psychic Succubus like Janine would probably find these things easy to pick out.”

“Oh, your date with Lance was beautiful by the way.” Janine then adds with a gentle smile.

I am concerned with how far tech has fallen one of the many things that need to be fixed. unfortunately the current situation make it hard to do so. Once we get more established we might be able to cobble together simple devices.

I eventually if i get good at metal control i can help fabricating tools to build more complicated stuff but that is a long way away. Ideally working with a succubus of Miyu's clan.

simply put it is a long term goal.
>>
>>22134643
11 months ago? I sense upcoming one year delay of an enchantment or something. Like when we hit one year a curse activates or something along those lines. Or we remember that we promised to give something back one year later or whtever.
>>
>>22134647
Do we have our job teaching at the Langy castle tomorrow? If so we should do that.

Other than that more studying, especially on demonology. Finding Elgar, telling him to get his stuff back, and taking a cut for saving his ass.

Since we're totally going to turn the noble girls into the beginning of our own personal coven we should see about finding out if there's methods of magic that you don't need to be Enlightened to use so we can slowly teach them Demonology, give them a taste of magic, make them bring more girls in, maybe make them perform some pointless animal sacrifices to tie them closer together so they wouldn't dare betray the group without it getting out that they did something like that.

Also we get them to adore us, love us, and respect us totally they become one hell of an emotion source.

And knowing who we are there might be orgies, even if it's only to feed off of the lust and bind the group closer together.
>>
oh forgot ask the reaper why would someone want our old dead body.

as we suspect some men took it and we doubt for burial.
>>
>>22134841

No, you don't have work on the weekends.
>>
>>22134979
That is a good thing to ask him when we get back. He knows a lot more about necromancy and dead stuff than we do.

Our Aether reserves ought to be okay, but Mina's might be running a wee bit low so we should budget some time to get a snack for us both.

We could have a little teaching montage with Mina, she's not booksmart in the least so giving her a crash course in a few subjects might very well be worth it. In exchange she can teach us how to sing and dance, we'll want to be able to dance just in case our next date with stupid sexy mercenary involves dancing.
>>
If we aren't sure we can trust the other succubus, I have an idea. We don't tell her about the queens, or the circumstances surrounding our creation. Also, we don't use much magic around her, but we DO tell her how old we are. This should cause anyone who is after us to massively underestimate us.
>>
>>22134841

Oh, I like this, very much.

In the meantime, we scout Fort Hope better, and maybe infiltrate/seduce the main mercenaries groups, for when we finally make a move to take over the place.

Maybe also keep tabs on people important to Langy, so we have some leverage against him.
>>
>>22135105
I agree, we can't trust her, once we've confirmed that she isn't bound/broken we can trust her a tiny bit, we still wouldn't know where her loyalties lie and what her goals are.

Mina's a bit of a special case, I think we can trust her pretty solidly, as shown by her poor understanding on contracts she isn't really the devious type. Wears her heart on her sleeve and all that.
>>
>>22134841

Oops, I forogt. SOME ritual magic doesn't require the caster to be able to use Aether. The Demon Queen communication spell, for example, would probably work with a sacrifice of some sort.
>>
>>22135198
Excellent. That makes the coven plan much easier, once we get the girls some Demonology, have brought a few new girls into the fold, have them firmly invested into this and we're sure they won't spill any secrets we can show off a bit with parlor tricks using Darkness and Light control, tell them that they can achieve power too, and once we show them a wee bit of ritual magic they'll be hooked. We give them the first taste of real magic for free once they trust us and we've done some basic lessons, it'd be best if they have brought in some friends by this point. We select an inner circle, teach them some easy rituals, by restricting it to the inner circle for a bit we foster more loyalty from them, and they'll tell the ones below a bit so the ones below will compete and strive for our attention and favor, which is good for us.

I'm noticing that this feels a lot like addicting them to drugs, the first magic is free but we'll start getting favors, money, secrets, and so on if they want more.
