Well hello one and all, it's that time again for another company civ. Last time:

We figured out what was wrong with poncho, investigated under the bay with our new form of scuba suit, cemented out alliance with the Royal House of Ash, and prevented an "end of the world" scenario.

This time... who knows?

Previous thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/21981382/

I'll wait a few minutes for some people to get in here before I start it off.
>>
Im here.
>>
That's one, if someone else shows up I will start it off... or if in like ten minutes no one does I'll allow you to control the company paragon... which seems like a bit of a bad idea.
>>
>>22043429
Hell yeah, I was waiting for this!
>>
>>22043523
Exelent, lets get this show on the road!

Action Points: THREE
What will you choose to do?

A) Search for a job (Specify a type, you're a magi tech selling and manufacturing company, try and go off that.)
B) Company alliances. (Specify whether with the crime lords, the merchant lords, or the baron's subsidiaries. Occasionally special offers will open up.)
C) Hiring time (Search for new employes to fill the company's ranks)
D) Research into a new product for the market. (Specify what you would like to research)
E) Business venture (Can be either legal or illegal. Fill in what you would like to do.)
F) Investment (Fill in any business that can feasibly exist in the capitol, later I will provide special offer specifics depending on your specialization)
G) Other.
H) Ask Grandfather for advice, counts as a free action.
>>
Question: if we want to make new golems, what do we have to do?
Also, I feel they should be restricted to unskilled, low-level jobs. Metal golems doing R&D or Marketing just doesn't fir right with me.

>>22043578
>Current Jobs: Shops and Such: (Brings in 20 Tarrlings per turn, occupies 2 employee.)
Put one employee into the new building we made to be a shopkeeper.

>Research: (6 occupied employees, large boost to research)
>Marketing: (4 employee, boost to business ventures)
Put 3 more employees into R&D and 5 more into marketing

>Self Winding Engine Prototype
Didn't we upgrade our engine? It should be reflected so that we know at what level it is.

>Four broken Iron Golems.
I think we fixed these

Also, could you add a category where it lists what products we have? Right now it is watches, AC and coolers.

>F) Investment (Fill in any business that can feasibly exist in the capitol, later I will provide special offer specifics depending on your specialization)
Go to the merchant "Midtown Currier Co." and make another deal, sell watches AC and coolers.

>B) Company alliances. (Specify whether with the crime lords, the merchant lords, or the baron's subsidiaries. Occasionally special offers will open up.)
Lets call up our Fire bro and see and talk to him, lets see what kind of a business deal we could make.

>G) Other.
Lets try our hand at that railroad opportunity again.
>>
C. hire more help
D. research on motorcycle
D. research the viability of using golem as an automated assembly line worker
>>
>>22043727
Turning on the broken iron golems takes an action point.
>>
>>22043336
Industrial-fag reporting in!
>>
>>22043816
Awesome! with three you'll be able to vote and break the tie between the two!
>>
>>22043587
We should build an industrial ship. If we have enough money.
That way, instead of supplying tankers with money to move metal to us. We could move the metal ourselves, get the lowest price, and manufacture the equipment on the ship. By the time the resources get to port, they would be finished products (depending on the time taken). That way we could increase our output by about... 50%?

What do we manufacture anyway?
>>
>>22043775
Lets turn them on!
>>22043727
We should look for a former buraucrat/disgraced laywer to recruit for our legal department
>>
>>22043853
Magitek, we are not into massproduction. Yet..
>>
>>22043853
You manufacture a line of watches, a special form of elemental engine, magic scuba gear, and mystical Air Conditioning units...

also you do not have enough money. That will count as a Investment to attempt to buy out a shipping company. It will be expensive.
>>
>>22043872
Maybe we can make the basic components on the ships and then infuse them with magic once they are here.
>>
>>22043587
C) Keep our eyes open for talented or new graduate engineers. (Its worth an extra action point so that when the time comes, we can swiftly build and develop)
D) Research 'industrial ship'

um... let somone else pick the third option.
>>
>>22043853
That would be prohibitively expensive and would probably require many research actions since considering our specialty we would want a magitech ship not just a usual steam or sailship.

And beyond anything else it would be a waste. We are a tiny, tiny company, we do not need a ship.
>>
>>22043915
You don't have to research how to make a ship, it is common knowledge available to people... if you would like to research some new kind of ship then specify please (such as one using your new engine)
>>
>>22043944
Ok everyone, I am closing the voting in 5 minutes. Post your final results and vote on them, or I'll just tally up the current votes roll if they are tied.
>>
Also seconding hiring for our legal departement.
http://youtube.com/#/watch?v=_ubp9sWTcns
>>
>>22043915
>Maybe we can make the basic components on the ships and then infuse them with magic once they are here.
>>22043910
As much as I love the idea of a an industrial ship (dat pull effect), is is way above our capacity right now. We should play on our strengths (engines, cooling..) until we are big enough to do something like that!
>>
>>22043959
C) Attempt to recruit someone for our legal department.
G) Fire up the golems
H) Ask grandpa on advice on how to handlethe buerocracy
>>
>>22043959
Well, I'm still in favour of my own suggestion.

What is the employee cap right now?
>>
>>22044030
You added twenty five to the cap. The next building you will buy will be larger and so will expand it further.

At the moment the cap is 60.
>>
Rolled 1

>>22044066
Ok, it seems that we have this:
C) Hire someone to our legal firm
G) Turn on the golems
and the third... I will be rolling a D6 to see which it is.
>>
i guess the consensus is muck around with the golem & hire more employee. Im in favor of researching a cheaper, safer, and more reliable version of our engine. we can start creating stuff like motorboat engine that way.
>>
>>22044160
I'm in favour of actually getting a steady contract to sell our engine. What use is it to us besides being drain of our resources if we do not profit from it?
That's why I'm pushing in favour of securing that railroad contract.
>>
>>22044192
I think that we should aim for that railroad contract, but dealing with a faceless bureaucracy is much harder than someone who is only making his decisions on self-interest.

I think the engine is a really neat asset, with motors there is no limits to what kind of awesome mechanical contraptions we can make.
>>
In Silverdale men are constantly being thrown out of the great Royal Bureaucracy. The regulations were so stringent and often contradictory that the only way to not violate any of them was to simply stand in a corner and face the wall... and the corner couldn't be carpeted. Your men go out and wait outside the entrance for a likely looking candidate, eventually one walk by.

After speaking to him you decide to hire Kallen, the lycanthrope lawyer bureaucrat.... May god have mercy on your soul.

===========

After working on the golem for several days Archibold finally learns how to replicate the golemancy symbols and components that Mousy used to bring the first to life. He turns the rest on, and now they run around the shop, guarding and doing the heavy lifting.

===========

Yaril and Eric head over to Midtown Currier Co. to work out a deal with the man there. With the new full air conditioning units he seems rather interested, but reluctant to get it in his shop with the whole bad vibes surrounding magic tech...

~you'll have to increase your rep more to sell it~
>>
>>22044160
>>22044192
>>22044241
I did it simply by counting what people said and tallying it up. Sorry, but you guys need to come to a conscious before I close the voting or you're stuck with it.

Anyway, lets just improve next turn!
>>
>>22044245
How much is magitec likely to cause unintended and potentially harmful side effect due to tampering, incorrect use or age?
>>
>>22044192
I prefer we get contract from the courier, shipping, or even the ganger. Seeing the railroad company keep blowing us off
>>
>>22044245
>Yaril and Eric head over to Midtown Currier Co. to work out a deal with the man there. With the new full air conditioning units he seems rather interested, but reluctant to get it in his shop with the whole bad vibes surrounding magic tech...
>
>~you'll have to increase your rep more to sell it~

Eh? What about the watches then?
>>
>>22044285
Last time you sold to him you had him very intoxicated, it lowered the requirement. Also AC's and Coolers are a lot more noticeable than that watches, and so will need a higher rep.

>Last time you sold to him you had him very intoxicated, it lowered the requirement. Also AC's and Coolers are a lot more noticeable than that watches, and so will need a higher rep.
That's not I am talking about. The suggestion was to make a contract for all the goods we have not just AC. Shame that AC and coolers failed but what stops us making another contract for the watches?

And how the hell do we increase our rep?

>D) Research into a new product for the market. (Specify what you would like to research)
Using the designs of our scuba gear, completely overhaul it for combat and defence. Basically the we will begin working on Big Daddy suits but with magic.

>E) Business venture (Can be either legal or illegal. Fill in what you would like to do.)
Call up our fire bro, lets see if we can make some kind of a business deal. I have no idea what the fire kingdom would like but we will find out soon.

I fixed up the report. It had some... inaccuracies
>>
D. Upgrade our engine
A. Get contract for invention of new vehicle. We start with the ganger.
G. Activate another golem
>>
G) Put our new legal asset to work, give him two assistants to help him handle the paperwork, running errands, etc.

D) Attempt to increase the reliability of the engine

E) Try to sell some more watches to a merchant, maybe the good old captain of the Maiden.

H) Ask grandfather for advice, ask him if there are any shortcuts when it comes to the bureaucracy, if there are any old friends of his that could help us!
>>
>>22044404
You increase your rep via several means:

Gained materials (such as your car and fancy dress wear... other things can be got as time goes on)
Business alliances (you know a lot of people, so it should be higher)
Larger employee number (a large company will naturally have a higher base rep)
>>
>>22044449
All the golems are already online
>>
>>22044449
Oh wait. We already activates the rest of them. Meet up with the fire bro then.
>>
>>22044452
(I will do the grandpa ones immediately... so you can use it affect the turn you are currently on)

Archibold goes to visit his grandfather.

"Like I told ya, back in my day the Baron was still around to keep them damn bureaucrats in line. Now without him each uses a different year's code and all think they know best. It's turned crazy... best I can do it... maybe I'd be able to get you in contact with an old friend of mine. He was part of the whole thing back in the day; don't know if he's still there, but it's worth a shot."

~Special Offer: Article B, Subsection C. ~

>>22044324
A) Search for a job
Courts and police need accurate timepieces. We can probably guilt the Government into giving us a contract by talks of all kinds of lawsuits and cases being thrown out and various stuff that might happen.

How ass-hat corrupt are we? We could totally build in a back door to the watches and have time slowed or sped up.
This might drag our name for quality merchandise through the mud if we use it too often, or if someone else finds the back door. Also, the government is a powerful enemy to make. Trololol.
>>
>>22044404
No big daddies, your stupid. Stop copying ideas from other stories. WHYYYYY!
>>
>>22044449
Who is ganger?

Also, the first part of that suggestion brought up something vital to attention. Who says that we have legal rights to make automobiles and engines?
Since we got our legal employee, we should look into it. Automobile industry is probably huge and lucrative, no one will want some newbie to get into it just like that.
>>
>>22044545
D: Look into compressor technology to see if we cant improve the speed and acceleration of the engine... it runs off magic? Which is a fuel?

What the fuck are you even talking about? Why would we want something like that? Hell, we already have bad reputation for doing magi-tech and you want it to make even worse by putting dubious features into it?

>>22044555
Nothing wrong with Big Daddies, call it something else if it annoys you so much. Also, we're just making a magical, clockwork/steampunk armored suit, basically a powered armor. I'm not original enough to make up names so I just go with what I know.
Also, it would be next logical step after the diving suits we made
>>
>>22044559
the grubbin grabber. seeing the seems like the sort of people who are willing to strap magitech between their legs for fun and profit.
And yes point taken. we need more info on vehicle regulation

G) ~Special Offer: Article B, Subsection C. ~
Meet with our new contact, bring our lawyer and diplomat. Bring a watch as a potential gift if our contact appears to be into that sort of things..

If we're doing that. Why not take time and some resources to make a truly ornate, beautiful piece of work with some gold and maybe gem? But lets not make it cost more than 15$T

We could use our best product here, the one with AC
>>
>>22044678

>>
>>22044755

I still don't understand why we didn't sell watches to the merchant. The problem with AC I get.
>>
>>22044796
Business deals like that are all or nothing. Basically think of it this way, he didn't want himself and his employees to be seen with tech from a company this is openly selling magi tech... it is bad for his reputation.
>>
>>22044816
I see.
Alright then.
>>
>>22044816
We REALLY need to do something about our image. How much tarling are needed to initiate a fair/convention?

>>
>>22044874
Yes please!
>>
>>22044874
Yeah, we should know that information after all.
>>
>>22044874
Does this count as an action? If it's free, yes i do.
>>
>>22044931
We should know regardless if it costs an action, since this is such fundamental stuff!
>>
>>22044925
Forty years ago were the events that would come to be known as the Second Sunset War. The northern and southern halves of the continent have always been separated by the lands known as the Bonewastes, land where the material world was weak and allowed primal magic to filter through (which is responsible for most of the horrible giant creatures).

From the southern half of the continent an army came, from the empire that controls the entire southern have of the continent (no one can go down to the southern half, the bone wastes extends into the water as well). This army used magi tech to cross the bone wastes safely and was filled with enormous horrible creates who were a fusion of magic, technology, and flesh.

The army swept through the land, killing and subjugating all in it's path. This saw the end of the grab human empire in occupied the southern land near the Bonewastes. It turned them into horrible creatures, molding them into more magi-tech creatures.
>>
>>22045027
So, it is more about the association with foreign monstrous invaders than reliability and safety?
>>
>>22044931
It's free...

>>22045027
The great Baron of Silverdale, seeing that their entire way of life was threatened went out to the other fifteen great races and beseeched them to join him in trying to fight off this evil magi tech empire. This was the last time the races came together against a single foe.

The Baron lead the army into battle himself, meeting the general of the enemy army in single combat. The Baron was both a powerful magi, scientist, and knight; he fought against the High Bioform, known as Xatiel. By the end of the battle the main advance of the enemy had been broken, but the battle had so much magical bleed through from the enemy that is became a small recreation of the Bonewastes known as The Pit. The Baron was mortally wounded, but continued leading the combined army until it pushed the enemy back to the bone wastes. (the battle is a lot more detailed than this, but a full research will require spending an action point).

After the enemy had been pushed back into the Bonewastes (mortals could not follow due to such high levels of primal magic would mutate them) the Baron returned to Silverdale, vowing he would find a way to seal the primal magic back into the immaterial world. He went into seclusion that day, and has been ever since.

Also after this the monsters what came from the Bonewastes (and now the pit) came in much more frequency and severity. Magitech is blamed for this worsening, and for the beloved Baron for disappearing for the last forty years.
>>
>>22045100
Yup, it's not that it's unreliable and unsafe... it's that it's associated with the fall of the last human empire, enormous amounts of people dying, the worsening of the Bonewastes, and the beloved Baron disappearing.
>>
Ok... now with this information... what would you all like to do?
>>
Gentlemen, our job is to turn magitech from an old world terror to a new world hope. And we shall do this with our glorious machinery.
>>
>>22045127
Basically we are the Nazis of this setting, got that.

>>22045135

research militarization of the diving suit. For now, we should make it capable of comfortably walking on land without hampering the mobility.
>>
>>22045205
I think we should avoid military tech, unless we we don't want to do anything else.
>>
>>22045205
Nah, you're a tad worse than Nazis.... you're like... if the Nazi's were successful and made western russia a burnt out wasteland while also having Hitler and Winston Churchill almost killing each other in single combat. Also instead of holocaust they turned jewish people into evil zombie soldiers.

>>22045205
this. thought instead of militarization i suggest we improve our engine instead.

Yeah, you guys picked the stony path...

Who knows, eventually you could be a mega corporation controlling Silverdale and with large enough subsidiaries in each of the other great city states to reunite the great races and lead them south to close the pit (after you research ways to seal primal magic back into immaterial) and to fix the Bonewastes before defeating the evil southern empire and solving everyone's problems forever.

>>22045348
And all this because we wanted to sell neat watches lol

You grandfather handed you a slip of paper with an address on it, unfortunately the address happened to be into the lower city... far down enough that it might risk encountering some of the more powerful gangs. Yaril, Karren, and Archibold head down, surrounded by the five iron golems.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" asked Yaril, looking around the street, which was occupied by men with far too many weapons.

"We need a way to get into the Bureaucracy. Didn't you say we needed a senior badge Karren?" The female were cat looks at you, her slit eyes are dilated wide. She looks back and forth, nervous, he tale flicking back and forth.

"Yes... without a senior bade we won't get much father than the front desk." Finally you find a house, and knock. An ancient mac answers the door, his wrinkles even have wrinkles... and those have liver spots. He ushers you inside.

"Reginald told me you would be coming, and said you would be needing this," He takes from his pocket a small silk rapped object and hands it to Archibold, "The bureaucracy has changed since I left, but with how they are acting that badge will get you in to see a chief. Please... do a favor for an old man... try to get them back on the right track. Those idiots don't know what they're doing, so many code and regulations. With that badge you could really make a difference."

I am ImperialBro in every quest I participate in, save for Evo Quest where I am Rightye. I take great offense at your suggestion that I change my name, sire.

Also, as I suggested in the last thread, Toymaking could be lucrative for us. It's fairly simple, it would make people more comfortable with Magitek, and if we add some sort of glamor to them the children will BEG their parents for a Magitek toy.

Unless anyone has a better idea?
>>
>>22045512
I´ll change mine then, it was pretty arbitary from the start.
>>
>>22045512
It's that the names are so similar that I thought you two were the same, I was confused why you were greeting us after more than an hour that you've been here before I realized you are someone else.

Yes, toys are good idea but that is not a job, it is a product for sale... which we could put into our shops and boost their revenue. Still, any ideas what kind of jobs we could do? We reached the profit cap of the repairman and shopkeer jobs.

Is there anything stopping us from doing the original jobs from the first thread OP? I mean, what stops us from branching to money lender and/or legal company?

After several days within the workshop Archibold and Mousy sit in front of their piston design, thinking it over. Finally one of them gets a bright idea... maybe a bunch of the pistons would have more power than just one.

~gained Finalized Elemental Combustion Engine Design~

=========

Archibold takes his contract with Sarric and does the activation ritual. The elemental prince does not show up immediately, but after a few hours (Archibold left the room and went back to running the shop) a fire appeared in the room.

"Yo! Archy! Where are ya, sorry I was busy so i couldn't get here immediately." Sarric wanders through the store for a little while, but eventually finds Archibold in the workshop.

"Sarric, finally! We need you help." Sarric looks over Archibold's shoulder, at the open watch. He had been tinkering with it.

"Sure, but with what?"

"We need to get a foothold in the business on the Elemental Plane of Fire. I just thought since the mages are the only ones who go there you all might be needing some... free trade?" Sarric considered this for a moment, stroking his fiery white goatee. After a few seconds he knows and looks at the watch.

"Well... I'll check it out. I can't garuntee anything, but if anyone needs any of your stuff I'll make it known. One thing though, most of them on that side don't like doing business unless it's in the plane. How are you going to manage that." Archibold's face fell for a moment, before seeing the Scuba Suit in need of repair, still hanging on it's hook behind Sarric.

"I think I might have an idea."

And another idea. A Camera, we build a box, put some lens, bind a demon painter inside, and bam! instant camera.

Yes it does, but that is for the upper city. The poorer areas operate on the "Everyone grab a bucket" system.

Archibold, in order to make it so he can head over to the EPoF (Elemental Plane of Fire) decides to take one of the spare scuba suits and beef up it's ruins to the elemental plane of air. After removing all of the fire ones he puts water and air ones instead. On the inside it is now so cold as to make his teeth chatter and would be dangerous to stay in for too long, but in the elemental plane of fire it should be comfortable.

=======

Eric and Archibold replace the engine inside of their car with the ECE, completely getting rid of any clockwork. Now there is no need for at all, and so the machine will take far longer to wear out. Normally the cars would need to be fixed every few weeks by a professional engineer, but now it could take months or years before such a eventuality.

Archibold and Karren head over to the great bureaucracy. Now that they have the new badge the front desk simply nods and ushers them inside. After passing dozens of hallways, some of which are only lit by piles of burning paper work they make it to the central adding room. Enormous steam powered adding machines take up the room, constantly making calculations to keep the city running. They towers nearly tens stories high, and within them thousands of engineers and bureaucrats constantly toil. On the sides of these machines small buildings hanging, clinging to their skin. You're lead up rickety steps to the nicer of these buildings, strung between three of the adding machines.

Inside a small balding elf sits behind a desk, the large leather chair he resides in squeaking with each movement he makes. WHen he speaks he wheezes.

"What do you want sonny?"

"You say this doesn't require crystals... interesting," The told elf stand up, revealing how short he really is. While most elfs are a tad smaller than humans, this man barely comes up to Archibold's naval, "Maybe we could get you working on the rail systems. It's a very big job however. How many men did you say are in your company."

"Fifty," said Archibold, starring back.

"I'm not quite sure that'll be enough. If you think you can handle it then show me your stuff, but if I see that the rails aren't being completed on my schedule I'll have to hand off the contract to another company." The entire time Karren had been shuffling nervously, rocking back and forth on the balls of her paws.

"This doesn't matter if we can't fix this place!" she shouted, tail bristling. The old elf turned to her, adjusting his glasses.

"And what do you mean by that dear?" Karren casts her arms sideway, pointed out the window to the machines, one of which was streaming an absolute waterfall of oil out into what was turning into an oil lake below. Karren's tail flicked back and forth.

"This place is falling apart, everyone is following a different book and no one can get anything done. This place needs an overhaul and soon, or everything will fall apart." The small elf frowned, and reached up to rub his bald head, fingers tracing the wrinkles.

"I agree," he finally said, "But without the Baron we can't create a standard, and no one has seen him since he retreated into the Bronze Citadel...that was before but of your times. If you think you can change it I welcome you, but you'll need a lot more than fifty men."

I'm not comfortable going to EPoF in that suit before we have thoroughly tested it. If it fails, we will be boiled alive and we do not want that. Also, instead of the cooling system being constantly online, it should be reaction based so that it defends against warmth when needed and can defend against cold in other situations. In the center of the street Archibold and Co build and enormous fire, and after assuring those who came running with buckets that there was no need to panic fit Archibold in the new suit, termed the Ice Box Special by Eric, and sent him walking in. Standing in the fire did cause the inside to warm it up a bit but only from frigid to barely above freezing. Even if the head was triples or quadrupled the inside would only be in the comfortable range. After several of hours of increasing the fire and waiting the suit did not fail. It would last at least a day or two in the EPoF.

A lot of the old trains were simply left in a large pile behind the central train station. Grac was sent over to simply drag one of them to Eric's Garage. Upon heading back over to the bureaucracy ti show the old elf your engine and to secure the contract he looks over the device. Picking it up he sets it on his desk and takes out a magnifying glass, examining the material.

"Looks like it might work; I'll warn you though you aren't the only ones we've contracted to try and solve the problem. Some boys is midtown calling themselves Rigger's Magic Works, and some men in High Tops from the Engineering Guild are trying there hand. We need a place to work, we need workers. There should be train-depots and such. Perhaps he can secure one for us for use (so that we do not have to buy a new building to house the workers and such)? Also, ask if he knows anyone with technological expertise willing to work for us. Or perhaps he could direct to a bunch of skilled train workers and set a good word for us (or just an official document).
This is along with the money of course.

Also ask him what time-frame we are looking at and how many trains does he need retrofitted.
>>
>>22047046
Take it i guess. we need the reputation and goodwill boost than the money.

>Some boys is midtown calling themselves Rigger's Magic Works, and some men in High Tops from the Engineering Guild are trying there hand.

No way someone wont try to blow up our train and play on the whole magitech is a taboo thing. We must be super, extra careful and cautious.
>>
>>22047115
"That's what the seven drabs are for, start up to secure yourself the office. I could set it up for you, a depot on the boarder between Midtown and the High Tops is empty. I could also possibly requisition a few of the current engineers to be reassigned there. If I do this however you forfeit the state up money. I want a few working models on the rails in two months. If your system beats out those other two then I'll want the entire system changed in five."

Keep extra what? Trains? What the hell do we need trains for?
I think this is a good deal. It costs 600$T to build secondary building and I'm not sure we will have enough space for workers anyway then we will need to spend several actions hiring people.

still try to weasel out at least one drab, you know, emergency funds?

>>22047194
I don't think we will be attacked straightforward. Remember, they need to discredit us not just assault. They could try something like overloading our engines and then running propaganda how evil and unsafe they are. We need defense against sabotage.

>>

>>22047539

Put the new hires IMMEDIATELY on the train job! Forget about the morale for the next 2 months!
>>
ask grandpa on dealing with dickass competitor.

i assume our employee are strong enough to fight toe to toe against your everyday thughs?
>>
>>22047556
They received some self defense training, but against members of the flash mob they will most likely loose.
>>
>>22047556
"It depends on just how much these competitors want the job. If they really want it badly I wouldn't out it past them to put your employees on the Salve Board as desirable targets... or even hiring some mercenaries to get the job done. If they can't afford that then just check everything that come in and out of your business, make sure nothing is tampered with. Also, don't be the aggressor, your company will naturally have a bad rap... don't want to make it worse."
>>
>>22047539
>>22047502
Your plans seem to be in sink, except on how many you're going to hire. Decide between 8 and 12 please.
>>
>>22047668
>If they can't afford that then just check everything that come in and out of your business

Well, that we can do easily.

The rest is harder. For the slave thingy, make sure that all the employees walk home and to the job in pairs or in three. The ones living in the most dangerous areas should be accompanied by metal golems, Grac and Poncho should be at the depot (where we will move our all relevant equipment and research on trains and the engine)

>>22047744
aim for 12
>>
Archibold and Eric survey their new workshop within the old train depot. The bureaucracy sen them several of the older trains to begin working on and performing field tests on the retrofits of their engines. With all the new employees in research and development they are able to get a full train finished before the end of the week, all eight cars plus the engine.

=====

Eric was struck with an idea, an addition to the nine. The magic crystal counter points still sit within the railways. They have power, simply not enough to keep the engines floating. They could use them as a secondary emergency power system, adapting the twin portals in the ECE to siphon off power from the crystals if one of the portals malfunctions.

==========

In the middle of the night a man wakes up, scared that someone has just invaded his house. Looking sideways he scream, and enormous Iron Golem is there. The golem shoves him in a bag and drags him to the shop. This has been done to 9 people before Archibold founds out and puts a stop to it.

All nine are hired.

>Cannery Row: (30 Tarrlings per turn, occupies 7 employees)
Well, I guess this doesn't increase anymore. Remove that one employee

>The Trains Must Run: (30 Tarllings, Occupied 4 employees
Seriously, what is this job?
put six more into it

put ten more into R&D

>>22048144
>Magiclini Made The Trains Run On Time: Get to work on the city's train system.
Okay, lets continue working on this.

>D) Research into a new product for the market.
We have working trains but that does not mean ours will be better than our competitors. Keep improving the design. Areas to explore: making it faster, safer, more durable, cheaper, easier to fix, etc

>G) Other.
Beef up the security. Keep in mind what our grandpa said.
>>
>>22048256
They maintain and fix the trains, basically make sure that they run on time.
>>
>>22048305
I see. Does It help with the contract we got or only people on research count there?
>>
>>22048353
It's like any other contract.
>>
>>22048370
I mean, the special offer, developing and retrofitting trains.
>>
>>22048438
No it doesn't help with the special offer, it is simply a new job you now have and will keep. It does not affect it at all. Also, it seems to be just me and you, and I am really tired after finals. I am thinking of must ending it at that last turn.
