I am the Chapter Master. You should not concern yourself with my name, for who I am is what I do, not how someone chooses to label me. By the will of the Emperor I command the finest Chapter to ever tread among the stars. I have no fear but to fail in the eyes of my brothers. Age of Ruin is on the horizon, Imperium is falling apart, I know it in my heart. I was blessed and cursed to live in time when the fate of our galaxy is being decided once more. I can just hope that my choices will be right...

=Chapter=
+Heresy: 38%
+Numbers: 540 battle brothers
+Wealth: 107 million thrones
=Primary quests=
+Securing food supply for our homeworld
+Killing Ashkenor the Wrathbringer, Chaos Sorcerer
+Creating more Space Marines
=Recent events=
Chaos warband known as Red Giants managed to activate ancient weather control mechanisms so that they would lay waste to Agri-World of Prothera, bringing it into a new ice age. Fall of primary source of food in the Subsector created food riots in a dozen worlds and at least on of them is already in a state of civil war. Chapter is currently in Protheran orbit, regrouping after the inconclusive battle.

Not yet, dear anon, but if you wish - this Chapter shall fall.
+++
Brethorius, your First Captain sits on a meditation bench on the bridge of Aspera Dominus while looking at the terrible mega-hurricanes that are slowly engulfing Prothera. As you approach him, he asks:
>Is that how a world dies, milord?
>>
>>21965038
"No. If it must die, it will die on our terms. Not theirs.

Tell our brothers we will descend once more."
>>
>>21965038
World die in many ways.
In this case, it is just like wiping a slate clean.
However, this slate holds millions of Imperial lives, ones we must save.
>>
>>21965038
Now there, don't be so pesimistic, we still have a chance to save this world. With a faith in emperor's servants and our own might.

>You still think that we are going to find the bastards, Master? In this weather no scanners can work. We may have superior numbers, but they can hide anywhere on the planet, after all they had enough time to escape. And weather control mechanisms are destroyed. I doubt there is person able to repair them in light years, even if he had the components. What shall we do when we'll descend? Walk around in the rain?
Brethorius' voice is coarse from the frustration. The door opens and Arcon, Third Company Captain comes in.
>I am afraid he has a point.
You notice that Arcon didn't use your title to address you. Ambitious arrogant son of a bitch. But he gets the job done.
>We have more pressing concerns. Nerial, our Astropath, informed me that Lord Sector Governor Larion Ursus demands official report of our failure here... Well, at least he acknowledges our existence now. Also, there are reports that Hive-World of Inaria is having serious problems, food riots there broke out into a full scale rebellion. Furthermore, our own homeworld is dying of hunger. In the last month nearly 800 000 civilians died. Not that I would care about them much, but if the world dies out, we'll rule over a chunk of icy rock. We must move on.

>1. Find abandoned agri world from imperial records, throw the guard in its the general direction.
Finding such an agri-world would require extensive research in the Imperial records or buying this info from Rogue Traders. Subjugating it would also take time, but it is possible. At the time you control only a few thousand Chapter serfs, no real force and you have no ties with Imperial Guard. Mormarkian Regiments are loyal to you, but because of the famine they are useless.
>2. send message to our projinter chapeter about the stealth armor schematics.
I'll need a confirmation on this. Please remember that this info is really sensitive as the armour is not exactly Mars approved.
>3. Get results from our helping of the Navy.
Elaborate.
>4. Find out why the Impirium apparently runs on a just in time delivery system with regards to food. Especially given the whole unreliability of warp travel.
A few weeks have passed and prices rise before the stocks run out, merchants are quick to catch the scent of misery and profit. Also, actual famine hasn't started anywhere yet, only general food shortages.

Send a message out to Rogue traders in range. There is a sector with food prices rising en mass. They'll come with foodstuffs and buy a little time.
The more pressing matter is the Chaos Warband. Even if the weather machine is fixed, or another option presents itself, there is no guarantee that they won't strike again.
>>
>>21965605
We've been talking about it in the chat.

And theoretically detonating a bomb within the eye of a hurricane to stop it is relatively sound.

Now please not these things:
a) It will kill current mega-hurricane for about a week. Planetary weather control machinery would create a new one quite soon.

c) roll 2 d100, first for modification, second for dropping the bomb.

You promised them that your colony, Varda, will start producing valuable gases in 330.M41. That is barely 3 years from now on and you haven't invested a throne in the mining infrastructure there. They are aware of that and are getting angry. To buy yourself out of this obligation would cost around 200 thrones +- 50 depending on your diplo skills.
>And isn't the Planetary Weather control machinery fucked up?
Only controls, the most important part. Machinery works on the last regime it was set on.
>And why isn't the mega hurricane fucking it up?
It's mostly located in the mountains/poles and is built to last.

>Have our tech-adepts perform stragetic analyses. Is there no way to reverse this storm? What of orbital fire? Could that clear up this...interference? These storms? Is there NOTHING we can do to reverse these effects?
reversing planetary changes is the work of gods usually, but as there already are mechanisms to do that, you would need to fix the controls, that's your best bet. Nestorium, closest Forge World, knows nothing about this tech or at least so they claim. Traveling to Mars back and forth would take from a few years to a decade(you can do that). You might also go to neighbouring Calixis Sector or to one of Sector Deus subsectors, looking for the right components, but it will be hard.

In silence you brothers watch as a single chunk of metal, loaded with most terrible destructive power known to Mankind is released from the underbelly of Aspera Dominus. Soon its small frame becomes almost invisible amongst the clouds. A few seconds more and all you can see is the massive mega-hurricane's blanket, covering the ground below. Brothers start to murmur among themselves, asking each other whether it has worked. Then, a small sun was born. Detonation ripped open the storm, air masses visibly rippling as if a stone was thrown into a pond. wave after wave of burning ozone expanded, driving clouds for hundreds of miles into all directions. Seran turns from his consoles to the hall full of your marines and announces:
>Emperor guides our machines today! he have achieved 92.7% efficiency and mega-hurricane has been broken. We estimate that we have 11 days before it reforms. Let us use this time well, brothers!
