Darkness, constant darkness. You felt a cold breeze swirl around you in the darkness, what was happening? You finally started to come to your senses, you were in the mouth of a dark dank cave, or at least that's what you could interpet. Your vision was fading in and out, as if something was covering your eyes, instinctually you felt around your face with your hands. Nothing was there, quite literally nothing. Your hands passed through what you assumed to be your head, you seemed to be incorporeal. Any normal creature would be confused, but you weren't. It was almost as if you had experienced this before, it was nothing new. You felt as though you were going to fall asleep, so tired...So very tired...Suddenly a feeling of anger overcame you, you felt a deep urge to perform evil. Hate, hate, hate! Your emotions raged as every form of negative emotion filled you. You stood up, you could head deeper into the dark cave, or head out into the wilderness, infront of the mouth of the cave was a thick forest. It was midnight, the blue light of the moon illuminated the maze-like brush. What would you do?

Stop being angry. We've just come into existence, there's a wide world out there, and everything's pretty good right now. Nothing really to hate when life's all good so far.
>>
>Stop being angry.

You try to calm yourself, but it is to no avail. This negative emotion seems to be instinctual, you must express your hatred, otherwise you feel that it will consume you more than it already has...
>>
>>21927030
Oh, it's gonna be like that then. That's fine. I'm out.
>>
>>21927030
Anything nearby? Kill it, sure.

>>21927073
You're just afraid of a strong Evil role model.
>>
>>21927113
Something to kill, something to kill...You search the mouth of the cave for any life, you find a few bugs and squash them under your foot, but they do little to satisfy you. You notice that your feet and legs seem to be comprised of some shadowy substance, it shifts and twists around like mist. You can hear noises coming a few dozen meters outside the cave, the crackling of fire and the sounds of conversation. You sprint out of the cave towards the sounds. You take cover behind a bush, peeking out to examine the source of the sounds. It's a camp of some sort, probably a trader judging from the bags full of miscallaneous items. Around the campfire sit five men, three of them seem to be merchants of some sort, the other two are dressed in leather armor and have longswords by their side. What do you do?
>>

>Title is "Malevolence"

Really?

One more bump, then i'll let this thread die..
>>
( let me catch up & see what the deal is here. wait one ... )

Do we remember the light? Thinking we don't want to stray too far from the cave before dawn.

Bet the forest is a happy fun shiny greeny nice place what is desperately in need of FIRE.

Wander over to forest. Keep an eye out for some flint.
>>
What 'light' do you speak of?
Also, did you read
>>21927202
>>
FIRE!

Let's roll.

Mistyslip up to the edge of the firelight and prepare to greet our new toys.
>>
>>21928801
You carefully sneak towards the camp, you stop right near the edge of the campfire light. You find that the light irritates your body, you take care to stay shrouded in the darkness. The humans seem completely unaware of your existence, you wonder why. By chance one of the guards turns his head just after a small gust of wind blows a few embers your way. The guard's face twists into an expression of pure horror, he screams and starts crawling away from you, it would seem fear has paralyzed him. The other humans look at you and shout various words, one of the men pulls the crawling one to his feet, you have some time before they take any action. What do you do?
>>
"You have failed to offer up your ale to the Gods!"

Head-butt the nearest one.
>>
>>21928935
You try to speak, but only a strange garbled echo leaves your mouth, the strange etheral sound scares the humans. The guards brandish their swords while the merchants stay in the back. You rush the nearest guard, focusing your wrath into your body and bashing the guards face with your shadowy head. The guard swings it's sword at you, chopping off your arm. You feel no pain as the shadowy appendage dissipates into the air, somehow you feel as though you have lost nothing of importance. Your head-butt breaks the guards nose and cuts his face deeply in numerous places. He falls down, holding his face in agony as it bleeds profusely. The other guard, witnessing your power, drops his sword and runs, the merchants are in shock and do the same. The light from the campfire is starting to cause you significant pain. The violence you have committed gives you great satisfaction, you can feel your vision returning to normal, but you need to do more. For some reason you want to devour the fallen guard, you feel that it will awaken something in your body. What do you do?
>>
>>21929027
Immediately in a sudden spinning turn face the nearest living target (whether it be animal or humanoid) and viciously rip them apart. And by 'rip them apart' I mean dismember them in a literal way.

>note: this includes repeated raking and biting if we have a means to inflict such forms of damage.
>>
FEEDAN TIME!

Chow down.
>>
This >>21929092 doesn't rule out this >>21929086.
>>
>>21929086
>>21929092
You kneel down to the fallen guard, he looks at you in terror, in a pathetic voice you can hear him mutter "God forgive me." You feel a strange eldritch smile appear on your face as you say with an unspeakably terrifying voice,
"THERE IS NO GOD." You lunge at the human, your shadowy form seems to expand and envelop the man, instinct takes hold as you dismember the man, relishing in his pain. You feel empowered, at least moreso than you did before. The man is gone, seemingly absorbed by your body. Your body has been refined, it's shadowy texture condensed, you feel more durable, stronger, and faster than before. You feel as though you'll need to perform greater acts of evil to gain more power, your instinct tells you that this is just the beginning. You sprint over to the campfire and stomp it out, ahh that's better. There are still four more humans running away, though it may be worth while to check the camp for any valuables that might be useful. What do you do?
>>
>>21929248
Tear everything to shreds, smash any treasures that would be destroyed by it, and hide any treasures we can't destroy in a random piece of scenery.

>'everything' here should be taken to mean tents, sleeping bags, etc as well as things that are movable.

"WE HATES THINGS THAT REMINDS US OF US! WE HATES THEM FOREVERS!"
>>
Earthly baubles, bleah.

FEEDAN TIME! Hunt, hunt, hunt.

Go fer a fat one.
>>
>serious case of binary personality disorder detected

Yep, we got us a quest ...
>>
>music for this quest

>>
>>21929290
You destroy every earthly posession in the camp, you rip the sleeping bags and the tents to tiny shreds, then hide them in the foliage. You take all of the destructible posessions and destroy them, you bend the metal items into tiny bowls and throw them into the wilderness, you tear up all of the clothes and burry them in the ground, you also consume all of the food, it doesn't give you any energy, but you find that it satisfied your need for evil. Mindless vandalism, destruction, beautiful glorious destruction!!

>>21929292
You chase after the merchants, they are greedy pigs that no doubt swindle their customers, they deserve punishment. With your superior speed you quickly track one of the merchants down, it would seem they split up. The fat sweaty merchant notices you pursuing him, he yells for help, stumbling over a fallen branch. He tries to get up but you catch up to him before he can continue running. You tackle him to the ground, a sick glowing red smile stuck to your face as you stab your hands into the merchant's chest, euphoria fills your body as blood spills everwhere. You tear open a large cavity within the merchant and burry your upper half into the humans body, from within you tear him apart. After the gory spectacle you absorb the corpse. The level of satisfaction isn't as great this time, you crave more. You are unsure whether or not you can track down the rest of the humans. What do you do?
>>
>>21929373
Well then...I wrote the previous post listening to some of that, hopefully it's not too gory for you guys.
>>
Too bad the fire's gone out.

Take a shot a tracking another. Maybe we can just see where they go.

Or we can just randomly chase one into absolute terror for a few hours for shits and giggles.
>>
>>21929523
Fly after them keening continuously. Since we don't have lungs, it should be possible to make this sound for an extended period. If they hit a road or get to close to a town, double back and hide out.

>note: if we are a traditional wraith from TSR / Wizards, keening is a form of life draining.
>>
>>21929572
>>21929603
You try to track the other merchants, you wander the wilderness wailing continuously. The ear piercing sound echoes through the forest like a tidal wave, no doubt the humans will hear the sound, as will any other creature. Your left arms grows back as you run. After an hour of wandering around you stop wailing, you've lost them. You're in the middle of a forest, it's late night, a few more hours and it will be morning. What will you do?
>>
>>21929707
Find a suitably creepy, wicked looking tree, and enter it's astral field.

This is in effect a form of hibernation (till the next night, nothing long term), but it would inundate the tree with wraith energy.
>>
>>21929707
I mean to say possess the tree and use it as a shelter, I meant to add that sentence but hit enter to soo.
>>
Right, well, failing that just mosey back to the cave.
>>
>>21929728
>>21929753
You try to possess one of the more dastardly looking trees, but your body seems to collide with it, you seem to be unable to perform such an action. You return to the cave, travelling deeper into it's dark confines, the cave seems to go into the mountain deeper and deeper, you stop once you're sure sunlight won't reach you. You lay down on the cold stone floor and wait for the next night...

You awake to the sounds of pebbles being stepped on, you peer towards the mouth of the cave, it's probably in the late afternoon. You try to find the source of the noise, you turn your head and look deeper into the cave. Behind a large rock is a black skinned creature, it seems to be a goblin. The black skinned goblin is dressed in a thick leather loin cloth, it's holding a long sharpened stick. It seems wary of you. What do you do?
>>
Admire the +cave spider silk loincloth+

Seems wary but at least it's not running.

Greet. Friendly wave.
>>
Present an intelligent and civil (for the moment) demeanor. If we detect one iota of hostility, respond with so much unmitigated hostility that the body of the goblin won't be able to be open casket buried, much less identified from the remaining bits and pieces. As an undead, we hate all life, but the fact that its not immediately hostile might mean it could make a suitable follower or assistant, or just an asset in general.
>>
>>21929841
>>21929869
You stumble to your feet and wave at the goblin. It seems to shrink, crouching down so only the top half of his face could be seen from the cover of the rock. "GREETINGS SMALL FLESHY CREATURE." You greet the goblin, you don't know why you called it a 'fleshy creature' it just came out. The goblin says something in a language you don't understand, it would seem there is a thick language barrier. You try to look as civil and friendly as possible, but it's kind of impossible considering your terrifying form. What do you do?
>>
I'm not suggesting we tackle it and blow a raspberry on it's belly, then set it free. Totally not.

Meanwhile, I dunno. Sit down and smile at it. Draw a map in the dirt showing where we've been. Point back into the cave and at the map.
>>
>>21929932
Chase it deeper and deeper and deeper into the cave, cackling, tittering, and being an evil scary dickhead type. If it gets to a location where it can't run anymore, kill it. If we find other goblins, keen suddenly and flee. If we find something other than goblins, appraise if we can do so safely.
>>
>>21929971
You sit down on a flat rock and try to smile at the goblin, but your face seems to contort and create a twisted horrifying grimace, the goblin's eyes widen in fear, but it doesn't flee. You point your finger out straight and draw a rough map of the places you've been, you then point deeper into the cave and then back at the drawing in the dirt. The goblin meekly approaches the drawing and takes his stick and draws out the rest of the cave, it would seem the cave is pretty straight forward, it's just really god damn long. If you travel deeper into the cave you'll eventually find a large circular space that is the end of the cave. The goblin backs away slowly, what do you do?

(If a compromise can't be made i'll simply choose the first suggestion.)
>>
>>21930194
Much as I relish playing the evil bastard undead, its the wee hours of the morning for me, so I won't be pursuing this any further. I leave it to you, /tg/. You have a fun idea here. Don't waste it.
>>
At 3:00 i'll end this thread, it seems as though /tg/ isn't interested, what a shame.
>>
Had to pull down some updates and restart, thus away from quest for a while.

So ... Into the cave. Wave the goblin to follow along.
>>
Well, I shall possess the creature, and use its body as a shield against the daylight. I will fill this vessel with my will, and twist its mind to serve me.
>>
>>21930828
Oh wait sorry I forgot to refresh before I posted. Nevermind this post, unless we want to do that.
>>
Has some potential, archived as an act of optimism.
>>
Usually /tg/ likes quests with Evil main character but I think you made this one too evil. Practically mindless evil.
/tg/ prefers mostly Smart Evil type of characters, ones that are not consumed by their need to perform evil deeds and who can think clearly.
