The desert is being Explored. The dwarves sent a caravan to help them explore it. An Orc was found and is chilling with the explorers. While exploring the nearby odd 'sickening smelling' canyon. One hunter was sent to scout it...and he came back saying things about Death and them walker.

Slarens: A younger black dragon, has 4 dragon chicks.
Elves to the north: Elves that have been captured by grey skinned elves as slaves.
Swamp Goblins: Enslaved by the grey skinned elves and the Mountain Goblins. They are promising they're loyalty
Dwarves: Don't like goblins, in general, is enemies of a Red Dragon in the mountains.

Generally all the races can get along with a few petty things between individuals. But sense the festival, they seems to have a much better sense of 'unity' between them all.
Strange Orc: Chillin with the group. Only one they've met.

Enemies:
Red Dragoness: (Captured) Had been worshiped by Drow and Mountain goblins.
Mountain goblins: (very broken up) Worships the dragoness
Drow: (Main location unknown) Worshipers of the red dragoness. Slavers.
Unknown: Thing that causes fear in the desert, makes people near sick when they smell it.


Important Locations:
Swamps (Largely unexplored): Home of the Goblin bros. Also location of large odd magic things.
Desert to the South: River can only go so far. Odd canyons was found. A few rocky outcroppings were seen, along with a few huge lizards.
Mountains: Former lair of The Red Dragoness that has been bound in a mine. Home of the Dwarves.
Plains: Where the Magrite mines and other herd animals tended to by the Goblins and such are. Along with our main trade route with the Dwarves.

Magrite: Weapons and tools made from this metal are easily made from the mines in the plains. The limited amount now had have been used for basic heating. Blue Magrite produces a shock. Red Magrite produces heat, sometimes lighting fires.
Boats: Waterstone devolped boats and the basis of movement with a propeller.
Fire magic: Fren mostly (Limited to small fires)
Water magic: Bren and Waterstone. (Waterstone can lift the river while Bren could only life a bit of it)
Healing: Basic healing.
Moon Magic: Unknown limit. (Full moons Asrid can sometimes call a moon cat)
Draconic Magic: Slarens only, has not shown all he can do. Unknown if he's willing to teach.
Magical Tomes: (Unopened)
Draconian Control Spell: Untested
Odd Magical Cylanders: Magical 'radiation' that caused magical effects on the goblins. One growing.
Mogrim: Forest shaman/hermit/village crazy guy. Can help things to grow. Can turn into a bear. Can somehow do all the drugs and not get sick.
Snow Magic: Able to freeze some times. Bren and the youngest apprentice uses this.
Fren: Has learned a bit of her magic with Purple Flames that do not burn.
Wind Magic: Minor blowing of winds. Used by Asrid.
Summoning Book: Unused magic book. Found by the young boy.
Rune Page: A page written from Bren from a bout of magical indulgance from an experiment with magical stones.
Magic Stone: Two Stones when pumped with magic will turn into large wolves out of a certain type. (Fren has a Firey wolf. Bren has one made out of water.) Only known how to obtain would be from the ice 'corpses' of the ice wolves.
Alchemy: The tests and mixins of the herbs and plants of the forests help making the magic drugs.

As more people play with alchemy a new bit of info is quickly learned about the alliance of Elf and Human alchemy. The Elf's swift hands, and the humans creativity and knowledge for their books let them create new items. A few draughts that cleared their heads of colds, a couple of potions that made them see in near darkness, and one that let you breath under the water. (Which waterstone quickly had people making a stock pile)

After the quick go between. The plan is set into motion. The guards, Orc, and Dwarves charge in while the hunters climbed on the rocks and shot many arrows at the beasts. They shamble until quiet a few are cut down and then try and scratch and bite the men.

After about twenty minutes of fighting the group of nearly thirty zombies and skeletons were either slashed to pieces, had their heads caved in by a Orc with a warhammer, or had so many arrows they were a pin cushion on fire.

As magic is worked on by Mogrim and his 'forest friends' eventually one is found in the village by the magrite goggles following him around. The creature came out of an invisible natural magic and was calmly led back to the magic school. A quick chat with a few apprentices, Mogrim and Waterstone, they found it called itself 'A Changling' and was scouting the town to see if it was simply as friendly as Mogrim was, who they thought was some sort of emmisary or Prince among them.

Was wondering the forest about getting ready to get in yet another argument with the tree loving dryad. According to the trees she knew more then she let on about strange armors and magical plants. Problem was when i got to where she usual hangs out there was my own precious SISTER they were..........getting along and having tea i am worried. Last night i had an awesome idea. The broth is merely some water with some talking shrooms thrown in then boiled. What if i like put MORE mushrooms in it? I had placed a bunch more mushrooms in and kept on putting more as they became mush. The vapors man i was so seeing so much shit. Finally i think i had inhaled to much vapor. Next morning i find myself sleeping on a branch of a tree. I was caught so off guard i fell off into a pond waiting below. After getting out i found my clothes sprawled around and i was deeper in the forest then i ever was before. After getting back home the pot i was using is completely full of shroom sludge i can't wait to try some out to see what will happen. I think i will use it to glaze some meat mm yummy.

A bit of arguing happens and they go inside holding torches and lanterns brought by the dwarves. Inside is slightly...amazing. While i was wondering about how best to try out my new invention of shroom sludge i heard from my sister(she tracked me down) that there was alot of strange loud sounds coming from my direction during my creation of the sludge. This was during her tirade about how i should settle down and how the dryad is such a nice girl it was terrible. After she finally left(thank you perverted ever talkative raven) i decided to try some out. It was AWESOME and i had thought the broth or vapor was good. It was like i felt amazing my senses were keen and i haven't needed to sleep YET. That was not even including everything i saw. So much FUN and to think that was only a nibble.

The bear child is brought back to the village and while some are nervous. The oldest soldier, and one of the best, desides to take him in. As the boy was being raised his skill was clear with a large ax brought by the dwarves. He was trained by his adotive father on his off time and while he could not join the guard until his late teens. He chopped much of the wood down for the village.

The men stay near the edge and the hunters shoot a few red magrite arrows, and the dwarves shoot red magrite crossbow bolts into random parts. Their are now a few fires and clearly what ever this city was, it was large. The farthest bit of flames set show a huge castle in the far underground distance. A few small fights go on and the explorers hole up in a huge inn.

As they cut through a few more hoards of the undead they notice other things falling. The zombies are much shorter and seem fresher along with egg white skeletons. As they fight they find a small path to a large group of buildings that seem undead free and hole up inside what looks like an old store. Along while inside a few say they heard talking or rats in the walls or behind the locked door to the basement.

Somehow I found my way to the woman who caused me to go blind. I was following a lead to a fountain of youth or healing, Trees apparently can't tell the difference between old age and poor health. Anyway this time I remembered to wear something over my eyes. We had a nice conversation first came introductions. We talked she was angry about my way I handle trees i explained yet again that trees are fucking assholes. However she replied this was do to their 'acceptance' stating that most of the time trees don't really bother with most of anything. Rather the fact they acknowledged me in any regard was incredible i countered with the fact they didn't have to be assholes about it.

As the men inspected the crystals they moved a little toward them and had a hanging symbol of a painted Middle finger of a human hand. As the dwarves and men looked at it, it moved on it's own along a wall and zapped a large zombie.

It then moved back to the niche it was at and many more niches around the small wall surrounding the 'safe zone'.

A bit more progress is made with making armor. Some make smaller plates that overlap making it much more comfy to wear. To help with this, the first one that is really used to test this is Kuruk, sense he plans on becoming a Soldier one day anyway, it fits him well and his ax even has it's own holster on his back now that they made it bigger for him.

The door is moved around a bit, a few minutes of wondering how to get it open is answered by the Orc.
By kicking it off it's hinges. Inside...is what surprised people. A few very small people, smaller than dwarves jumped a bit as they sat on crates.

They took up arms and said "W-who are you?! Did the monster send you to kill us?" He had a dagger, which to him seemed like a sword.

"Welcome to our City." the small man said, "Well...what used to be our Halfling city...before that monster came and killed so many of us so long ago."

The others sake their head half angry half sullen. "But please, come to the lower levels. It's the only safe part of our city away from that monster's spells." He offers you a way down a long set of stairs.

More magic is done and eventually the drawings from the stone in the winter is figured out. A man drew it on a paper again and put it on a model of a wolf out of wood. It came to life for a few minutes before breakign down totally and catching on fire.
