>It's not about change. It's about choice.
>Wizard Curse: Plump Grabbable Ass Quest Part 8

You are Roger Smith, a young man, magically turned young woman, trapped inside a heavily enchanted, cursed, and possessed dress which is slowly driving you insane while also granting you colossal magical power. You have traveled to the neighboring Bridge City of Arisca with your parents and the disguised Succubus Familiar you unintentionally summoned to seek help in breaking the curse and getting your life back under control.

After a rousing night of drinking, befriending an Asuran (a sort of multi-armed humanoid race), and doing body shots, both off of Danny, a bandit you accidentally turned into a busty catgirl, and having one done off of you by Millia (your familiar), you retired for a peaceful night of intimate cuddling. On the following morning, you joined your parents for a family portrait your Father has been wanting to paint. Unfortunately, the dress was not content with a peaceful painting and nearly went out of control again. You managed to suppress it, turning the overflowing magic into an illusionary forest, rather than any sort of transformative effect. You were able to complete the painting, but afterwards, the dress refused to cooperate, instead turning itself into an elaborate and cumbersome gown.

Presently, you are discussing with the rest of your party how you might solve this problem, as the Dress is revealing itself to be far more dangerous than you initially let on.

And now, the obligatory explanation.

As I type, I take suggestions from you guys. Ideas you might have for dialog, choices, things to do, and what not. You can also suggest things as the devil on Roger's shoulder by posting with Spoiler text ([*spoiler]words here[*/spoiler] minus the asterisks)

If you have ideas, do please participate. Good discussion between my walls of text gives me more inspiration and allows me to work on the next one more easily, without having to wait as long.

I will also use dice rolls from time to time. The way I run dice in this quest requires that you, the participants, hit a certain DC in a certain number of rolls. So, I could, for instance, tell you to "Hit 15 or higher in 2 rolls" and if the first two rolls posted after that call roll 15 or higher, it's a success. Otherwise, it's a failure.

Keep in mind that rolling dice does not guarantee narrative control or preferential influence on what happens next. Rolling dice can just as easily get the opposite of what you want.

If you've got questions, you can ask them here or on the IRC channel.

When we last left off, you were deliberating with you party on the best way to handle this whole dress situation.

The concern, which has not come up til now, was what will happen to the dress once you are free from it. In the wrong hands, it is a terrible danger to everyone. All of that magical power without even a fraction of the responsibility or control that should come with it. Worse still, is what might happen to the Dress if the Consortium got their hands on it. They are far less corrupt than they used to be when they initially created the dress and tormented its first wearer to death, but the possibility still exists that they might use it on another person.

On top of all of that, regardless of whether you keep it, or if the Consortium takes it from you, there is the distinct issue of the Soul which is apparently bound to the Dress in the first place.

If the Consortium tries to keep the dress, Danny suggests that you simply steal if back. If you are actually worried about the Soul attached to the Dress, who is technically a victim in this also, there is the option of seeking and exorcism to free her.

"There is also another option.." Millia adds in, "If you remember, when we met, I mentioned a friend that I have in Arisca. They are not a wizard, nor are they associated with the Consortium in any way, but they might be able to help you with the Soul inside the Dress which is causing you so many problems." Everyone else at the table, yourself include, listen curiously for further explanation, following such a cryptic statement. "Help in which way, Miss Lili?" You finally ask. "If the Dress can actually get moody and argue with you, then my Friend may be able to help you negotiate with her."

>So many choices!
>Wat do?
>>
>>21825943
Negotating with dress seems to be a god option if wizards fail to remove it, futher we should go in order
1. wizards (steal the dress if necessary)
2.negotations
3. exorcism if negotations fail
>>
Millia's offer seems more appealing. Don't really expect anything, though, the dress is completely nuts.

I'd rather keep the dress. Not only it's incredibly powerful, but it is also so convenient. Were not for the madness inducing will residing in it, it would be perfect.

There should be a way to make the Soul residing in it sane and submissive. Or just enslaved, we don't need it to be sane if we can control it fine.
>>
>>21825943
>>21826016
>>21825912
Negotiations, followed by exorcism or some kind of support to resist the dress.
>>
New poster, so I'm not sure if this has been discussed before (When reading the archive I mostly skipped to the story posts), but wouldn't it be a good idea to try and complete the work the poor wizardess started in her lifetime?

She was unravelling the spells which bound her, slowly changing the dress by her own will and power. We should seek to do that. We're a magical prodigy, so if we learn enough of the theory, we should be able to actively take a hand in it.

The dress is our responsibility, after all. We should try and gain the faculties to fix it ourselves. The wizardly contacts, all of them, could help us do this, give us the knowledge we need to fix things.

(Also, SP, any chance of there ever being a Fade to Black of Danny's experience with Hekaton? Possibly from Millia's perspective, given that she did play the voyeur to their tryst)
>>
>>21826151
I want that fade to black so bad, now.

>>21826016
I say
1. Negotiations
2. Wizards
3. Exorcism
>>
>>21826151
Actually, that sounds like a pretty good idea. It'd certainly be an angle to work in the negotiations. We might be able to break through the enchantments ensnaring her mind by appealing to whom she once was.

Yeah, it was me who suggested negotiating in the first place. I'm amazed people are actually thinking it was a good idea! Still, I'm grateful. It think it could really work. We should probably go with Millia's contacts. If they don't work, we can always go to The Consortium.

I really hope we can negotiate... The spirit in the dress has had a really crappy hand dealt it. It'd be nice to be able to help out.
>>
>>21826151
>>21826286
The first victim of this dress was a pretty badass sorceress before she got into it, while most of our power is just what we get from her and the dress. So I do not think it would work the same way for us as it did for her, but by all means, it is worth a try.
>>
>>21826328

Its been noted that we are unusually skilled at using this power, however. Its skill more than power that we'd need for the endeavour.
>>
>>21826359
But is that really us, or just the dress?
Remember how we suddenly couldn't walk properly with heels when the dress didn't want us to, what's to say that the same rules don't apply to our magic?
>>
>>21825943

Agree to Millia's idea. She seems to know what she is doing.

What, negotiate? Bah, what rubbish. Here's a negotiation - go turn that bastard consortium all into adorable monstergirls. Then fuck 'em all. Literally or metaphorically, whatever.
>>
>>21826151
>>21826264

Nah. I think that fade to black would be better told from the perspective of... well, danny telling us. 3 girls alone in a bedroom talking about boys. Well, one girl talking about one boy but still.

(Well, fuck.. Forgot all about the clarity potion. Also, have a relevant image with Bees, harpies, catgirls, and tiny dryad sprites.)

You Father looks deep in thought throughout this conversation before he finally speaks up, "Until we can pursue any of those options, the possibility for another out of control burst of magic from the dress still exists. I'll need to locate some ingredients, but until you are out of that Dress, I would like to keep a stock of Potions of Clarity on hand. Just in case." You Father excuses himself from the table, leans down to kiss your Mother and heads on his way out. "I'll be quick, I promise," he shouts before leaving the tavern.

Millia watches your Father leave. You can tell she's somewhat relieved to have fewer people around. "If you plan to meet with my friend, I may have to find out if they are available for a private session, which may not be til later today. Although, I'd hate to leave you when you need help the most.."

"We also need to find a church that might be able to help us with the exorcism" Your Mother sighs, "That is, if we can even do such a thing with how magical this pesky dress is."

"And we might wanna case the Wizard's place if we need ta steal the dress back. Do we know where they live? Do they got any guards or anythin" You glare at Danny, "What? I'm not saying we *have* to steal it.. But if it's so dangerous for them ta have the stupid thing, then what could it hurt?"

You carefully consider all the different options, carefully weighing the possibilities. You didn't want to go skulk around a Wizard's keep early in the morning. The church idea seemed like a good idea, but you feel most comfortable with Millia's idea. If you could negotiate your problems away, that would just be magnificent.
>>
>>21826639
Yeah, I'm kinda hoping the dress will just teleport into Millia's Hammerspace when it comes off of us. Be it by Millia's powers, or the power of demon vows.
>>
>>21826671
"Look, I'm not really going to be going anywhere. The dress saw to that, so our best course of action is probably for someone to take me up to our room so I can take a nap and try talking to the dress while everyone else researches and checks out our options.

Millia talks to her friend, Mother can check out the church and see what they know, Danny can case the Wizard's keep.
>>
>>21826698
>>21826639

IIRC, we only owe the dress to her if we remove it, and she's been quite encouraging of us keeping it on.

Also, even if we try to disenchant/purify the dress, we could simply try to downgrade it rather than stop it entirely. Tone down the cruel and dangerous elements, but let it be mischievous, and hopefully allow its power to remain mostly intact.
>>
>>21826738

I like this plan. But warn Danny to keep her distance, we don't want her getting caught. She was just some bandit in a forest, not a master thief.
>>
>>21826671
No harm in getting familiar with the churches in town, but be clear that it should be considered a last-resort.
>>
>>21826738
I'd say make Danny check out the church and have our mother teach us how to walk in heels.

It'd probably be better to case the consortium at night.
>>
>>21826797

Learning to walk is a good idea, actually. If we don't have to rely on the dress for it'll give us one less thing to worry about, and we can use it in the negotiations to show that we're willing to work around the dresses little inconveniences, and we can overcome the big ones, so it may as well work with us. Although we'll deal with the negotiations when we come to it.

"Their establishment may not be open at this time of day. It's more of a nocturnal sort of business." Millia looks unsure as you decide to go with her idea. "We can try, but I can't make any promises. They keep odd hours." You shrug and gesture to yourself, "It's either that, or you all head out and research our options while I sit here, trying not to snap my ankles in these heels."

"Absolutely not. I'm worried enough with you just sitting in front of me. What would we do if you lost control to the dress and you just up and flew off?" you lower your head, "I'd rather you come with us. At least I know then that I could do everything in my power to protect you." It's belittling, but you can't bring yourself to argue against her.

"So it's decided then?" Your Mother asks, standing up from the table. You nod and get up as well, bracing against the table for balance. You wobbles awkwardly for a moment before you manage to stand up straight on your own. At Millia's request, Danny bounds up stairs and returns with your Halberd, which you uses to steady yourself.

Your Mother takes you by the arm, "Heel, toe. Heel, toe." she instructs, guiding you along, "We don't want to have to carry you all around town, now do we?" You mentally curse the dress as you take your shaky steps across the tavern. Guess you'll just have to learn to be a proper lady without my help! Gods! What's your problem?! What do you even want? I want long hair! The kind a man can run his fingers through and hold on tight to as he rides you like a frenzied horse! You resolve to ignore the dress for the rest of the day.
>>
Actually, yeah, learning to walk on heels is a nice idea. But not only that, I think we should have Dorothy learn how to walk confidently. The dress' current form gives a feeling of importance, confidence...pride, yes, pride.

We should take this chance, now that the dress is pacified for themoment, and have Dorothy train being a Queen, of sorts.
>>
>Guess you'll just have to learn to be a proper lady without my help!
>I want long hair! The kind a man can run his fingers through and hold on tight to as he rides you like a frenzied horse!

A proper lady? How the hell does it plan on making Roger a proper lady if all it wants is to be a slut? Make up your damn mind, stupid piece of cloth. Also, why does it want Roger to fuck so much? Can it even feel what he feels?

On another note, the dress is funny and awesome, and I like it very much. Unfortunatly, it's mind has gone FUBAR.
>>
I've just thought.
Will we be able to sleep anymore?

If we go to sleep we might wake up the next morning and the dress has changed everything about us! We can't resist if we aren't conscious for it.

The dress might even have the ability to feed other things than voices into our head. She could get us nightmares. Nightmares of sex. With men.
>>
>>21826926

Promise the dress we will have a suitably kinky threesome with Millia and Danny if it drops the damn whining about hair lengthening and fixes this goddamn shoes. Gonna have to try some negotiation ourselves.
>>
>>21826926
Internal talk with the dress

"Look, we can make life very difficult for each other. I can keep you from having any fun and you can keep me in extremely impractical clothing, but I don't think either of us are really happy with the current arrangement.

So we're both going to have to compromise, honestly my problem isn't with long hair, it's just hair, it's with you trying to take away my control.

Now wasn't last night fun, you keep this up I'm not really going to be able to have flirty kinky experiences on bars anymore and I'll probably keep ignoring you just to be stubborn and spiteful, I won't enjoy it and you certainly won't.

So you can let me walk again like the lady you want me to be should be able to and I'll keep my eyes open for ways for both of us to have fun with my current predicament or we be be stuck in a standoff which neither of us will enjoy.

So, dress, talk to me."
>>
>>21826927

This is a really good idea. It might even let us tap into the power of the other voice if the dress goes psycho again, i.e. doing things she'd approve of to earn her favour.

Doing what the Queen wants might require us to be ladylike, but its better than wild surges and public sluttery.

Before you leave, your Mother slowly detours you over to Arthur, who is apparently trying to get over a hangover from drinking an entire keg by himself by eating raw eggs while his son watches.

Your Mother asks a favor of him, seeing if he could direct your Father to your location if he returns while you are away. He offers his son up instead, saying he'll have the boy guide your Father to you. "It'll get him used to completing escort missions," he says. Your Mother has Millia give him directions. She explains the general vicinity of the place, which she calls "The Den".

Jultun is a tall young man, who is rather lanky, though still muscular, rather than being gigantic and bulky like his father. He wears a dark bandana that covers his forehead down to his brow and has a long sword sheathed on his back. Though he listens earnestly while Millia gives him directions, you notice that he is watching you from the corner of his eye with an unusual expression. Is he checking you out, you wonder? Maybe it's just because you are dressed so strangely. You think that such elaborate clothing would look out of place in a small tavern like this. None the less, he doesn't say anything to you and turns back to his Father after sneaking one last glance your way.

Let him do one of those body shot things off you! You're certainly not going to be able to negotiate with the Dress, just yet.

You are about to make your way out of the tavern when you hear a chair hastily screech against the floor. You peek over your shoulder to see what it is only to find Hekaton fast approaching..
>>
>>21826963

The problem here is that the dress is nuts. In crazy ass-wizard land that probably -is- a proper lady. Hell, that nuttiness is part of why, personally, I don't expect negotiations to go off, or for any compromise we reach to be highly temporary at best; the entity we're dealing with is totally out of her gourd.

Even should the dress prove willing to deal in good faith, it seems likely that her/its craziness will drive it/her to violate any agreement the moment it becomes inconvenient. The dress is, in my estimation, likely too nuts to be trusted.
>>

You notice Danny shifting behind you and Millia, trying to make herself unnoticed as Hekaton approaches. "What did you do?" you hiss at Danny. "Nothin'! Honest!" her ears are flattened against her head and she fidgets nervously, despite her protests.

Hekaton stops only a step away from you, leaving you to crane your head upward to look him in the face. "Good morning, Hekaton." you smile politely at him. He look you over, slowly raising a single quizzical eyebrow at your clothing, "Roger the merchant girl.." You think that's a greeting. He zeroes in on Danny and stares at her for just long enough for it to be awkward. You swear you can see his cheeks redden. "Danny." he says softly.

Danny slowly peeks out from behind you, "H-heya, Hek... Wild night, huh?.." her hands fiddle nervously with the fabric of her dress. His mouth slowly spreads into a smile, "Where are you going?" Milla steps to the side so Hekaton can see Danny directly, "We were just going to visit a friend of mine. If you'd like to join us, I think that would be okay. Right, Dorothy?" you nod, "I wouldn't mind him tagging along." you feel a strange tickle in your throat, "It would be splendid to have strapping gentleman like yourself to watch after us ladies." Where did that come from..? Everyone else is giving you equally confused looks You have to make him feel appreciated if you ever want to pry him away from that feline hussy.

Danny jabs you in the back, "Don'chyaa have ta go get your gloves or whatever from the forge guy?" Hekaton shakes his head, "Still waiting." Millia smiles, watching Danny squirm, "Well, I don't think there's an issue with him tagging along." You nod in agreement and Hekaton smiles wide, taking position beside Danny as you start walking again.
>>
>>21827620
If he actually asks about the clothing answer with "My dress is feeling petulant and stubborn. Long story."

Walk close to Millia and give Danny and Hek plenty of room, tell the dress that nothing is going to happen between us and Hek if we can't even walk properly. Don't promise it anything of course.

Also by the end of this Roger is probably going to be really good with the ladies, he'll know exactly how to make them feel good.
>>
Ok, what exactly did these two do yesterday? Must have been something really good. Maybe Danny did get hexa fisted?

We should ask him what he thinks of our catgirl.
>>
>>21827727

Don't instigate something to disrupt a love so pure!

Of course if the dress is going to start assuming direct control perhaps we should tell Hekaton to ignore us.

Not that the dress would allow us to say that.
Perhaps we should ask Millia to watch our mouth and try to ... intercede.

See if we can access the other voice, The Queen. If she's prim and proper, perhaps she can stop us saying things like that.

When you get outside you take notice of the illusions still present along the rooftops. So have many others

After a few traversing several streets and a few stumbles, you are starting to feel a little bit better with these heels. Heel. Toe. just like you were told. Between your Mother and Millia, you have plenty of advice coming your way on how to best handle such footwear, though your Mother is clearly more in favor of a sensible pair of boots, for a traveler, she does admit to such silly shoes as having their uses.

You have to stay very focused, carefully making each step deliberate and controlled. You don't even notice just how much additional poise this seems to give you are you sternly take smooth and measured steps down the street. It was starting to get you a lot of strange looks as you were giving off the impression of being some sort of dignified noble out for a morning walk with her exotic bodyguards and handlers. Though, the Halberd in your hand raises some questions.

"Why the fancy clothes?" Hekaton eventually asks. "My dress is feeling petulant and stubborn today. It's a long story." He seems confused, but doesn't make an effort to press the issue.

Danny seems quite entertained by your struggles. You catch her wiggling her bare toes at you whenever you peer her way. "So, did you two have a fun night after we left, Hekaton.?" He smiles wide and drapes a few arms around Danny, "Very fun." Danny expression is a mix of distress and swooning as she leans into his hold.

Millia leads your group deep into Arisca, before turning down a few of the less traveled streets, down a few stairs, which you have to move down with extra care, lifting your dress up daintily as you take each step.

You eventually come to a plain looking building that doesn't seem to be a shop or a business of any kind, but as you approach, you notice the words "The Den" burned into its door.
>>
>>21827947
Can you tell me why it wouldn't? I think it's worth a shot to at least try. The dress is as much a victim here as we are. Look at when it forced us into princess-garb. To me, it sounded upset that we were taking it for granted, that we were just using its power and going, "Oh woe is me, I'm so hard-done-by," while revelling in the power we now wield. It seemed bitter and upset. Maybe we can get it to negotiate and calm down. It may require some give-and-take from us though.

We know we can stop its worst excesses at least, so we can bargain from a position of, if not power, at least equality.

Because that would shorten the quest considerably? Also, dress =/= soul. As far as we know it, the Dress might be really sentient and being fueled by the Soul, which could be dormant.
>>
>>21828118

Ask Millia to help you train how to be a proper lady. Or maybe mother, Millia might want t do naughty stuff instead. You know, just to be able to act accordingly to what appearence the dress is taking.

I did that thing where I skip around and forgot to finish a section, then fill up the fucking field limit..

When you get outside you take notice of the illusions still present along the rooftops. So have many others, it would seem. Several people in the streets are staring upwards, pointing and chattering in confusion at the forest the sprung up out of no where, and from their roofs, no less. You figure it best to just pretend to gape and then go about your business so as not to arouse any suspicions. Having to explain to people that you created a huge illusionary forest for no reason and cannot get rid of it would be problematic, to say the least.

As you start carefully sauntering your way down the streets, you notice the furthest reaches of the fake forest have started to fade away, slowly dwindling inward as bits and pieces of it fade out of existence. With any luck, it will be gone before day's end.
>>
>>21828143

Honestly, as I said earlier, the problem is that the damn thing is at least somewhat insane. While it's probably arguable as to how far gone it is, we've no real way of knowing for sure.

At the very least we can be very reasonably sure that it is monomaniacally focused on sex and on rendering us receptive to sex; it also seems to be generally impulsive, which is not what I'd call a good sign. Even in the very best case scenario, with the Dress honestly and fully intending to honor its agreement, it's ideas of what constitute as -honoring- that agreement cannot be relied upon to be the same as our idea of what that means.

More than likely though, it's apparent impulsiveness and laser-like focus on restructuring us a lunatic magic-slut will cause any agreement to fall apart the moment it is inconvenient.

I wonder if the fae were really inhabiting that illusory forest

Not saying we may not need some help... But O have this feeling that the original spirit is in there somewhere and (so I hope) hates what it has been forced to become. If we can re-awaken that, we might just have a chance. I have no doubt that the spirit may have been permanently changed by its experiences, but at the very least, it should be more psychologically stable than the current... THING.

>>21828197
That's meta-knowledge. Pervert has already said this quest won't go on forever anyway. Personally, even if we did solve the problem (or go some way towards it) now; if I were running, I'd throw some kind of a twist in there. That's just me though. Not wanting the quest to end is no reason to artificially drag it out by being deliberately stupid or lazy.
>>
>>21828223

I like this idea, but putting it so directly could worry people. We need justification.

Tell them we want to play along with the dress, in small ways. Giving in to the lesser demands, being ladylike and feminine, wearing what it wants us to wear efc, could help put off the more serious consequences of major demands, buying us time to find a solution.

Went and compiled all the entries from the previous thread and this one that I missed and tossed them into the document.

Currently at 106 pages, after adding the edited fade to black 2, and 59,505 words total. I've never written this much for anything, ever.

God damn.
>>
>>21828647

Out of curiosity, how many words does an average novel have? Like say, 300 pages?
>>
>>21828704
NaNoWriMo sets the bar at 50k words.
Wikipedia says novels start at 40k words or more, while novellas are 17.5k to 40k, according to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America

Well, can't say for certain, but at a guess it probably would start at around 160,000 words for a 300 page novel. Depending on word choice it might even be able to get close to 200,000, though you'd probably have to omit large words.

Like I should get back to work on the quest.
----

Millia approaches the door and raps her knuckles against the wood. There is a brief wait before the door opens with a faint plume of smoke pouring out from the top. A series of chains between the door and the frame keep it from fully opening. The pale face of a young man with dark eyes peeks out, "Business hours are from sundown to sunrise. If you wish to-" Millia cleared her throat, interrupting him, "Dino, it's Millia." the boy's expression didn't waver, "We need to see Yurara. It's important."

The door closes and there's a silence from the other side. "Dino is just doing his job as doorman. If Yurara is awake, then there will be no problems." Millia doesn't look particularly worried about the unusual circumstances. "Some day, you'll have to tell me how an archaeologist like yourself gets so familiar with such unusual places.." Millia smirks as she watches the door, "Another time, perhaps."

Several minutes pass before you hear the telltale sounds of chain-locks being undone. Dino pulls the door open and waves you in with an apathetic sort of cordiality. He's dressed in a rather sharp black suit and tie, a style that was gaining popularity in most larger cities. His dark hair is slicked back, tightly against his head.

Inside, The Den is a sparsely lit, open room with a series of lowered rings in the floor, covered in pillows of every shape and size. In the middle of each circle is a large glass hookah, a sort of tobacco smoking device. Candles of various heights cast dim flickering light that just barely makes things visible. You notice several others in the room gathered around the hookah. They appear to be normal people, but the air about them is somewhat unnatural. They glance your way, but don't even bat an eyelash at you before the return to their hookah.
>>

"Straight to the back, then?" Millia asks, to which Dino nods in reply. "If you could, please take care of the rest of my friends while we visit with Yurara in private." She motions for your Mother, Hekaton, and Danny to take a seat in one of the empty circles, "Make yourselves comfortable. The tea here is quite good, despite the decor." Your Mother does as instructed, though only after carefully studying Millia, "I'm going to hold you to your word and have you explain yourself one of these days."

Millia leads you to a door on the far wall while the rest of your party settles in around a hookah. They quietly take in their surroundings, examining the fine tapestries hung across the walls. Millia opens the door for you and ushers you in. "Be polite and be honest," she says before following and closing the door behind her.

This room is somewhat smaller, those decorated in a similar way. It consists of one lowered, circular pit in the middle of the floor which dominates the room, littered with pillows and cushions. No hookah at the center, however.

Reclined against the pillows is a small figure draped in enormous robes, lazily rubbing the sleep from their eyes. A child? You get a look at her face, youthful and soft, though a large hood obscures most of it. Her hair is jet black, not even reflecting the dim candlelight, though you can see that it spills out around her neck, cascading down each of her shoulders and down to the floor.

Once you are inside she gets to her feet and flashes a calm little smile. "Milly, my dear," her voice is sweet and melodic, "Rara, you darling!" the two meet at the middle of the room and hug, though Millia has to kneel down to do so. They exchange kisses on each other's cheeks and laugh mutually. "What brings you to my little Den?"

This is Yurara? Not exactly what you were expecting. Given the decor, you expected a wizened crone hunched over a crystal ball.

Millia takes a seat and you do the same, sitting across from the two of them. You have to position yourself carefully, folding your legs beneath yourself while the dress billows out around you.

"Do you remember the tale of the Consortium and their slave dress?" Millia asks, to which Yurara nods enthusiastically, "Of course! Such terribly interesting and tragic tale." I don't like her. Millia motions to you, "I found what happened to it. Curiously, the original wearer's soul still bound to it." Yurara perks up, leaning forward to examine you, "Curious indeed!.." she trails off, as if she just realized something, "You let yourself be bound?" Millia laughs softly, "Nothing gets past you.. It's part of the story, though. You'll love it once you hear it, but that will have to wait." Yurara grins, "Oh my, oh my.. She must be quite special, hmm?"

Millia smiles knowingly, but she continues, "Master Dorothy here, victim of the second wearer of the Dress, has fallen victim to the Dress itself. The tangled web of magic and torment that make it up drives the wearer to insanity, just as it did before. While some of it's manipulations can be quite fun, it does run the risk of harming those ones my Master cares for, on top of causing her a great deal of distress and trouble." Yurara nods, listening closely, "If you have the time, we would like help trying to placate and negotiate with the soul trapped within."

Yurara scoots down her pile of pillows, moving closer to you. She pulls her hood back and clear the hair from her face, revealing a third eye centered on her forehead, "Tell me what troubles you, Master Dorothy."

>where do we begin?
>>
>>21829561
"First, since you know what's up, let's call me Rodger. It'll help."

"Second, the fact that I'm stuck in this fucking dress with these fucking billowy sleeves and this fucking voice and especially these FUCKING HEELS is making me a little testy."

More for the Dress's benefit than Yurara.
>>
>>21829576
We should probably try to be polite to the person who may be helping us get rid of the curse. Plus it's basically given that she's a demon of some kind. Pissing off demons is typically a poor decision.
>>
>>21829561
“I just want my dick back, dammit!”

But more seriously, the fact that it wants to wrest control from us. Our hair is the last manly thing about us and it wants to change it for specifically that reason. Though we should probably give her a little backstory before we get to the hair thing.
>>
>>21829561

Tell her that we want our dick back. And that the dress keeps trying to get us to be a massive slut. And that it tries to make us act like a jerk. And wear high heels. And turn people into monster girls. And we really want that to stop.

[spolier]Oh, come on you stuck up twat. Tell her that the only thing troubling you is the fact you need a good dicking. Then get back to that Hookah. [/spoiler]

Getting it off would be great, but I just want it to stop trying to control every aspect of my life, and for it to stop trying to transform those around me if you cant get it off. Turning every situation I'm in into some weird sexual fantasy is getting irritating.

some control would be nice.
>>
>>21829561
"Please, call me Roger. And Millia has been of great help in adjusting to being female. Though I do sort of want my dick back.

Okay, I'm going to give a quick explanation, dress is a bit crazy, wants me to use its powers for perverted ends on myself and those around me. Powerful, but not entirely sane, and don't you try to deny that dress, you wanted me to ruin a family portrait and transform my parents, come on.

So it wants to take control and I don't particularly relish the idea of involuntarily losing control.

The most recent thing was it wanting to grow my hair long while I don't want it to change, I told it no and resisted it so it's being petulant and decided to transform into the least practical outfit possible and put me in heels.

Honestly I want a chance to talk to it, help it, work with it, and not be in a position where my choices are to lose control or have to learn to walk in heels."

You struggle on how to start. You want to start frustrated, screaming about your dick and the sexual frustration. Part of you wants to snap at her for calling you Dorothy. Only Millia has permission to do that.

You sigh heavily and try to compose yourself. You're getting very worked up just trying to figure out what to say. A third eye.. If she is Millia friend, then that would also make her a demon. If she is, then the advice that has served you best seems relevant here. Don't like to demons.

"Roger, actually.. Roger Dorothy Smith. I was even R. Dorothy for a single signature." Neither Yurara nor Millia say anything, they merely allow you to speak. "What troubles me is a great many things.. I am not a girl, not naturally, but this dress.. This awful, evil, manipulative dress is constantly whispering to me, telling me it doesn't like you, or trying to make me do awful things, trying to control me... and sometimes it can. Worse than that, is the way it wants me to be a shameless slut, a prim and proper lady, and a magical terror, inflicting similar torment onto others, all at the same time."

You take another deep breath and nervously run your fingertips through your short hair, tipping your hat back, "And I don't even know which thoughts at mine any more.. At this point, I'm not even sure how much being a girl actually bothers me and I don't know if I would have ever known this if not for this horrible dress, but I can't stand losing control. I can't stand being along for the ride in my own life. I can resist it, but I'm scared.. Morified what might happen if the day comes around that I fail and I can't get control again..."

You pause and just let the tension flow off you for a moment, "But worst of all is that.. That I pity it. I pity her, the soul in the dress, and I wish I could help her, because she's suffering the way I am.."

When you finally stop, you look up to see the room has gone black.
>>
>>21829942
I sense meddling. Be cautious! This could be Yurara doing what's good for you, this could be Yurara doing what's good for HER, this could be the dress having come up with something new and unusual to try to hold us back.

You can't even see the floor any more. You can feel that you are still sitting there, atop a pile of assorted pillows, and you can still clearly see yourself, or rather, the enormous dress billowed around you. This worries you, to put it lightly. You look up to find Yurara sitting exactly where she was before, though she is the only thing you can see presently.

As if she was coming into focus, you start to see Yurara differently. That jetblack hair of her's seems to be actually flowing, moving about as if it was water, calmly spilling down her shoulders and to the floor. That third eye of hers is clearly on display, glowing brightly, though no actual light seems to be emitting from it.

Yurara raises a single hand and points just above your head. You curiously look above yourself and then turn around to see what it is she wants you to see. Your heart feels as if it could have burst through your chest as you discover the woman standing behind you. Clad in a dress identical to yours, though noticeably older and more mature in a great many ways. Her long red hair is done into a single thick braid which rests over one shoulder, her face tastefully decorated in a small amount of makeup. Her expression is neutral as she looks at you and only you. She is immediately recognizable to you. By presence alone, you are certain of who she is. The woman who has been clawing at your nerves with her incessant whispering.

You want to turn to Yurara for answers, but you fear what could happen if you take your eyes off her.

"There are a great many dark and terrible paths laid before you, Roger Dorothy Smith. If you are to avoid them, you must overcome the troubles that you have inherited from others. If you wish to help the one who has suffered the most and regain control over your destiny, then your chance to do so has been presented. She can and has heard you."

You rise to your feet slowly and extend a hand, "It's nice to finally meet you." She glances down at your hand, "I'm Roger Smith.. I apologize for wearing you for all this time." She sneers at your offered handshake, "I know who you are. You're the poor dope who gets to live this never-ending nightmare with me." You wince and lower your hand, "I understand that our relationship with one another isn't ideal, but I want to help you. Can I at least get your name. I don't just want to keep calling you 'the dress' or 'she'.. It doesn't seem right."

She hesitates but bows into a polite curtsy that conflicts with her sour expression, "I am Lucile Catenza and I am dreadfully sorry that you have the mental fortitude to resist my whims." You look at her, puzzling over what that might mean, "Is it really that bad that I don't let you run wild? Just look at what you did to Danny the one time I lost control. You can't tell me it would be a good thing if you were allowed to do whatever you want." her face contorted angrily but her posture and body language was eerily relaxed and proper, "You only say that because I'm stuck in here taking the brunt of the punishment for you! If I weren't stuck in here, then you'd be the one with your mind in a vice every time you didn't behave the way they wanted to! Without me you'd have your legs spread for every man who glanced your way! You'd be on your hands and knees begging to please them!!"
>>
>>21831081

But if we are overly aggressive that self could get mighty pissed and fuck us over.

We don't *let* it do anything. We can by large barely resist it. We can't afford to be too offensive.
>>
>>21831109
"If the curse from the dress was lifted, could it get rid of the strain on your mind? You were one of the greatest mages who ever lived, and its obvious you aren't too pleased with your situation. Isn't there any help you can offer in breaking the curse? We don't have to be enemies."
>>
>>21831109
"It seems that I ought to thank you for your interference, you have my gratitude.

So it's both of us against the twisted whims of the dress. Could be worse, we could be alone.

Tell me about it, tell me about the dress, tell me about what powers and control you and I have over the dress. Is there anything you know about breaking its control over us?

If you are who I think you are than you have more reason to hate the dress than I, and I doubt you'll find anyone else who is going to have my odds at finding a solution to, as you so aptly put it, the never-ending nightmare we're in, if you want us to have a chance at ending this we're going to need to cooperate."
>>
>>21831109
Well, that answers an awful lot about some of the contradictory impulses I've been having. Anything I can do to make it easier for you, short of what they want?
>>
>>21831109
Then maybe we can find a way to discharge that pain that doesnt hurt anyone.
>>
>>21831109
"So it looks like the goal here is to get both of us out of the dress then. You're a talented mage, any ideas?"
>>
>>21831109

"Then tell me Lucile, how do I get rid of the other part of the dress?"

If she can't help than she's a dead lead and we should probably just apologize and ask her to hold out as much as she can... until we can break that enchantment.

Then maybe we can keep all of her power for none of the setbacks.

At least we found out exorcising would be a bad idea.
>>
>>21831347
Yeah, we need to rework the dress' enchantment so it doesn't suggest things and doesn't break the mind's of its users. That's our biggest objective, since it takes strain off of both Lucile and ourself. Then we can figure out how to put lucile to rest, then we can figure out how to remove it. After all that, it'd be safe to give to Millia. And that, gentlemen, is our plan of attack. We have to give the dress to Millia as well, she's been good to us and a deals's a deal

This was going to be difficult. Despite all the anger and the vicious words, you could only feel more pity for her. "It sounds like I owe you a great deal of gratitude.." she huffs angrily, "Like you wouldn't believe.. I'd burn this whole city to the ground if it meant my only worry was being a guy with tits and weird feelings."

You sigh heavily. Not only is she making you feel pity for her, she's making you feel guilty for even complaining, "So, we can agree that both want to be free from this dress, not just each other." "Obviously." You consider the different options you were presented earlier, "What if we do pursue the exorcism idea?" "Sounds glorious. You get the full power of the dress inflicted on you and I finally get to pass on from this miserable existence." The thought makes you shudder, "Come on now, there has to be a way for us to bother get out of this. You were one of the greatest magic users of your time. Surely there's a way to break all the compulsions and urges that cause you to torment me."

She shakes her head, "I'm sure there is, but I can't think clearly long enough to figure one out and you're the one with access to most of my magic, for some terrible reason.. Unless I can compel you long enough to use it for me, but then I'll probably just make you do something awful with it."
>>
>>21831544
What if we tried that in a controlled enviornment, with Milia at the ready to shove a clarity potion down our throat?
>>
>>21831544
"Joy. So how exactly does this work? The dress routes its twisted desires through you and you pass them onto me, or something like that?

Is it possible to reason or work with the rest of the dress itself in any way?

Is there any way to channel the dress's desires to more constructive things for the time being? Does it want a specific thing or does it just want general perversion? If appeased does it shut up for a while?"

You had at least gotten her to calm down and stop screaming at you. There was some level of understanding between the two of you that wasn't there before. It's not much, but it's progress.

"What about the potions of clarity my Father can make?" she shakes her head, "Those only made it so you can't hear me for a little while. That means I get the pleasure of screaming at someone who can't hear me."

"Is there a way to work with the dress? Some loophole we can exploit? Like, what if I lock myself in a room with no one to influence either of us?" Lucile looks away from you, "Then I'll probably just resort to getting you to do terrible things to yourself.. This arrangement right now is special. Normally, when I'm all locked up inside the Dress, I get so unhinged and so angry that all I want to do is make all the bad things they did to me happen to everyone else. They made me their walking perversion and that's not a scar that heals. Not even after a century." You notice her trembling, despite the stiff, unnatural way her body conflicted with her emotions, she was visibly trembling.

"There is one thing, though." she recomposed herself and stood up straight, "Without any magic to use, the worst I can do is try to make you say or do things you might not want. That can still be pretty bad, but if you burn through my reserves, you could at least keep up from doing anything too terrible."

"That's certainly a start.. But that also means I'll have to find a way to burn off that magic without harming anyone."
>>
>>21831782
Ah, now we're onto something. She's got a huge magic reserve though, right? What if we set up some grand illusions everywhere we went? We could make some coin from it too.

Anyway, the exorcism idea is out for now, gotta uncurse the dress first.
>>
>>21831782
so more sexytime with milia then. Or if that isn't enough, we could do things that require large amounts of magic that don't really have much in the way of tangible effects. Like drawing in the sky or something. that gives me an idea, put on the northern lights and cuddle with milia at some point
>>
>>21831782
"Well, you better start liking overly complex illusions, possibly of forests, because that's probably going to happen a lot. Any idea what the Fae crown does? Is that the imperious Queen voice I hear occasionally?

I know you've been through a lot, more than I could possibly imagine, but we have a responsibility to make sure that no one else is hurt or broken in the way you, me, and the lady before me was. No one deserves what happened to you to happen to them, let alone an innocent. I know that it's hard, I'll do everything in my power to keep the people around me safe, all I ask is that you have some hope, that you believe that we can beat this."

Then give her a hug, nothing sexual or anything like that, just a kind comforting hug.
>>
>>21831852
>that gives me an idea, put on the northern lights and cuddle with milia at some point
Yousuave devil you, this board is wasted on you.

Also, let's see if there's a way we can give Lucille a break every once in a while- maybe with Millia around, our own personal succubus wouldn't mind our perversions for a bit. If we give some sort of compromise we may be able to form a stronger alliance against the dress.

Hang on a minute here this isn't exactly a walk in the park for me
I get turned into a girl forced into a cursed dress and told I am going to turn into a sex crazed ass-wizard if I don't do something to fix it.
You have every right to be pissed off at the consortium but don't think it isn't hard for me to resist the enchantment or your will with nothing but the hope that I can get things back to normal one day
>>
>>21831977
That sounds like it'd turn into a pissing contest. Instead let's make it clear that we're her ally and want to get her and ourselves out of the dress.

"Yeah, it's a terrible time for everyone. I think I can come up with some ways to burn up most of the magic, but what about breaking the curse and getting both of us out of this thing? Do you have any resources? Did you have any leads while you were still working on this yourself? And is there any healthy way to sate the dress's appetite for a bit?"

That's a daunting task. Magic, as you understood it, was something that you just naturally regenerated and absorbed for later use over time, especially in your sleep. Becoming a powerful magic user requires one to strengthen and exercise their capacity to retain magic. There's the potential for this to be very beneficial to you in the long run, but at the same time, it means burning off a lot of magic at the start of every day and then being without it, when you might need it for practical reasons.. Like shouting at crowds or making illusions.

"I'll see what I can do.. Perhaps we might be able to give you a break every once in a while. I don't think Millia would mind some of your urges." Lucile actually smiles at you briefly before reverting to her typical neutral expression, "I guess that's a pleasant compromise.. But the dress won't be satisfied just by granting a few favors. It wants to always be pleasing someone. If you're done sucking off one wizard, then you need to be rushing down the hall to bend over for the next one and as soon as he's done, you need to be lap-dancing for the next one.." That mental image makes you feel nauseous, "If you could, just try not to fight back so hard. You don't pull your punches. Maybe it's too much to expect for you to go along with everything, but maybe if you just could just loosen up some times and not gang up on me, then I won't be so prone to retaliation."

"Wait.. Gang up on you?" there's that confusion again, "What do you mean?" She narrows her eyes at you, "I don't know how you're doing it, but when you really dig your heels in, it's like you've got other people resisting for you." You go wide-eyed at the revelation, "I thought that was you! Well, another aspect of you.. Like you were helping me out when the dress wanted to mess with me the most." Lucile chuckles softly, "I never tried to help you til now."
>>
>>21832140

>>
>>21832176
yeah we're never getting rid of that crown now
>>
>>21832140
Yay Fae, that crown is staying on our head forever!

"I'll do what I can, but there are lines I'm not going to cross. There are things I will fight tooth and nail on.

Look, you do your best not to ask me to do horrible things to those I care about and I'll try to meet you half way when I can. You know that it wasn't even really about having long hair or short hair, it was me trying to convince myself that I still had control over my life. If it'd make it easier for you I could add a few inches, but I'd appreciate it if you helped me change my outfit to something less foofy and let me walk properly again, how women manage this I'm not even sure."

Also give the girl a hug, she's been stuck in a dress for a long time and her only contact with people has been driving them insane.
>>
>>21832268
>Also give the girl a hug
Do this, then step back with our hands on our shoulders looking her straight in the eye and say something manly and reassuring. Maybe a nice "We are going to beat this. You've suffered for a long time but that's going to end soon. All I need is time and your support."

You'd have to worry about that later. It's concerning, but if Lucile doesn't know, then you shouldn't be wasting her time asking her for answers.

"I'll try my best to ease up when I can, but I don't like this any more than you do. I can't just go and roll over and I hope that you know that I'm not doing it out of spite. You'll have to bear it and trust me and help me see this through." You put on your best determined and confident face, "We've got a responsibility to see that no one ever suffers because of this dress or it's terrible magic. I promise we'll beat this some day, but just know that I have a responsibility to keep everyone else around me safe and that might put us at odds.."

"I'm so sorry for everything you've had to go through..." you step closer to her and throw your arms around her. She is stiff and slow to react, but a single arm raises up and rests on your back, "I don't want to be your enemy Lucile. Just bear the burden for me for a little longer and we'll see the end of this."

You close your eyes, only for a moment, and when you reopen them, you find yourself still sitting in Yurara's Den. You had never moved from your seat. You never moved at all. Your mind feels hazy for a short while, but you eventually refocus on Yurara and Millia who are still sitting where they were before. "You've made a very important first step, Roger. Your actions have closed off many of the dark paths and pitfalls that laid before you. They are forever condemned to the realm of possibility." With a smooth flourish of her hands, she produces a bubble, about the size of your head, "However, it would be unfortunate if you were denied the chance to ever learn from this mistakes. Perhaps you'd like see see what could have been?"

Seems the Fae did us a solid... BUT what do they want out of this? The Fae NEVER do things free of charge. EVER. They want something from us; the question is, what? My guess... They want a story. The Fae LIVE in stories; their laws of physics are the laws of dramatics and narrative.

Now then, ahem... "Yes. I-I need to see. I need to be reminded what happens if I mess up. I've got more than my own soul at stake now."
>>
>Your actions have closed off many of the dark paths and pitfalls that laid before you. They are forever condemned to the realm of possibility

Does that mean we can't go full demon anymore? I would have been fine with that ending.

Millia would probably like it too, and a happy Millia is always a good thing.
>>
>>21834372

Remeber, this is a demoness that we're talking too. Her definition of "dark" might not be exactly like ours.

>in before "and in THIS timeline, you ended up a queen of a just and kind empire! Echh!"
>>
>>21835394
That kinda seems unlikely, she might often like dark things but she's probably aware of what people consider dark, she's a professional seer, or something like that.

Also I severely doubt that us getting on better terms with Lucile isn't going to remove bad ends.
>>
>>21835394
I always found the 'Demons think nice things are bad and they are good' idea kind of stupid, to be honest... It just doesn't hold up under any kind of serious thought or consideration. I think demons and devils, etc. know they're evil, they just don't care, or they think the ends justify the means. They want corrupt souls, dominance and/or power, either because they enjoy it, or because "It's better OUR way and being evil is the best way to MAKE things our way." Hell, even Millia's only in it for the fun. Though I do wonder what Yurara's angle is...
>>
>>21835448
Obviously she uses mind powers to seduce people into sinning so she can eat souls

Or something like that.
I agree the whole evil for evils sake demons always seemed a bit stupid to me, evil for power or evil to tempt and punish the weak willed makes a lot more sense to me
>>
>>21835448
>>21835827

Well, when it comes down to it, I tend to think of "inherently evil" demons in these settings as being more like magical automata than as a sapient being. They don't seem to have the choice to not be evil, they simply are bad (because they're demons) in the vast majority of fantasy settings.

Good morning, Ass Quest Devotees.

I've got several hours to keep the quest going, so how about we get to that?
>>
>>21836654

Okay.

By the way OP, can you tell us what we know about demons in this setting? Like, are they said to be pure evil, or just amoral and selfish?
>>
>>21836654
Yay asses
We should see what Yurara says could have happened to us and then see if anyone knows a way to disenchant magical items outside of the consortium
>>
So we just kind of agreed to give in to urges sometimes with regards to Millia.

Lucile said the urges really do center around men.

Does that mean next fade to black is going to be Male-lia?

I guess I should finally settle that debate, shouldn't I?

I haven't really given it a ton of thought but I do have a vague cosmology in mind for AssWorld.

In regards to Demons, they do come from a plane that is connected to the world of men. Not necessarily hell, but more like an existence of a slightly lower frequency. Likewise, there is a higher plane where angels come from. This is not to say that Angels are inherently good and Demons are inherently evil, but they are typically understood as being above and below the mortal plane.

I suppose there would be other parallel and lateral planes of other things and the possibility for deeper planes beyond that, but I'm going to say that, as a rule of thumb, if a plane is more than one plane away from the Mortal plane, it's direct influence is negligible, if existent at all.

What Roger would know of demons and angels is that they are foreign entities to the Mortal plane and that they may only enter under certain circumstances. Rituals, Summonings, rare magic anomalies, and so on. Typically, demons get a bad rap because they tend to focus on the physical pleasures and vices while angels tend to be seen as good because they are about virtuous behavior and self-sacrifice.

The long and short of it is that Angels have a fantastic PR team. By comparison, Angels look to be the ones who wish to preserve civilization and usher in order and peace, while Demons want to destroy everything because all they care about is greed and lust and such.

The truth of the matter, though, is that Angels can be selfish and Demons can be noble, however the default philosophy for demons is to understand what you want in order to better the rest of society (take care of yourself first) while Angels want to do their duty for the rest of their kind before helping them selves (take care of others first)

In most cases, the average person (Roger included) will believe Demons to be bad or dangerous because they wish to claim your soul for their own purposes. The truth of this is a little bit more complex, but most demons, if given the chance, would want to corrupt a person while most angel would want to redeem them.

It's kind of hard to go on about this without just directly giving you meta-knowledge, however. I think I've let on too much as it is and may be spoiling some of the fun as your sorta-GM.

"It would be for the best if I could learn from what will never be. Even if those dark paths are closed to me, I will probably come across many more before my quest is through." Yurara repeats the motion, flourishing her hands and producing an additional bubble. She takes eachh one and sets it in the air where it stays, perfectly still. You smile back to her, "It's all been so dramatic. I couldn't help myself." She smiles, "That's quite alright."

"So, how will this work?" you watch the bubbles curiously, "Will you be able to show me where I should go and what I should do next?" Yurara shakes her head as sets out a third bubble, "I have to be careful with what I show you. I am not allowed to tell you the outcome for decisions you have no made yet. You may only see the outcomes for the decisions that you cannot make any more."

She opens her arms wide, presenting the three bubbles to you. Each one fills with a sort of mist that swirls about before coalescing into an image. One shows bazaar on the day you worked. Another shows what appears to be a church. The last shows the entrance to the Den.

"Which would you like to see first?"

Bazzar. `rpbabçy about that roll we passed.

You think back to how back to the tension you felt as you stood atop those boxes. That was the first time you felt that extra voice urging you on. "I'd like to see what could have happened at the Bazaar.." Yurara nods and gives the bubble a tap and it drifts towards you. It pops suddenly, just inches from your face and suddenly you find yourself surrounded by the hustle and bustle of hundreds of people.

Yurara's voice begins to explain for you as you feel yourself going through the motions once more. "Had you failed to resist the Dress as you did, it would have started a long chain of events that would have ended wuite badly for everyone else." You find yourself climbing atop the crates with Millia, preparing to make one last effort to draw everyone in to buy the remainder of Mr. Gulcano's goods. You are simultaneously experiencing it all over again and viewing it at the same time.

Just like before you start to grow nervous as you stand above the crowd for all to see. The Dress starts to urge you along and you follow its lead, performing a sexy little saunter across the crates. You try to resist, but this time, you cannot gather the nerve and there is no forceful regal voice to reassure you.

You plunge the head of your halberd into the crates and begin circling it, eventually leveraging yourself around it, performing a simple little twirl. You begin to dance along the shaft of your halberd, putting on a rather erotic display for the crowd who is starting to notice you. The more they watch, the more you want to perform. You throw out the heavenly spotlight, illuminating you and only you. The relatively modest armor covering your dress starts to vanish and soon the cut of the dress is altering itself to reveal more of your body. You are not naked, but it is leaving less to the imagination..
>>
>>21837642

So we're kind of experiencing it too?

I'm not sure I want to see the other bubbles.
>>
>>21837818

Seeing them is useful. It shows us just how bad things could get. That's good motivation for us to keep resisting, to keep fighting. The experience might be unpleasant, but we have to go through it for our own good. It'll stop us thinking 'It wouldn't be so bad this once...' and such things.
>>
>>21837838

Until one of the bubbles slips in a sex scene.

Any control over the situation that you thought you had is gone. Lucile has full control over you and she is satisfying the urges of the dress through you. Just like you had practiced the night before, during your playtime with Millia, you begin to cast a spell upon yourself. your curves swell slowly, gathering more attention as you become a buxom dancer, eagerly performing for the entranced crowd.

Then the first coin is tossed at you. It lands on the crate at your feet, causing you to stop. A second one soon follows. Your mood shifts dramatically. "How dare they?!" you think. In a single graceful motion, you leap off from the creates and land in the crowd. You don't even know if the man you have locked in on was the one who threw that coin, but he will suffer all the same. You grab him by the collar and pull him close. Everyone around you watches in silence, eager to see what happens next. There is conflict between you, the Dress, and Lucile and you're starting to understand which is which at this point.

You are about to shove your hand down his pants, like the dress wants, when you release a surge of magic. The man in front of you and everyone near him lets out a moan of ecstasy as a transformation overtake them. "Filthy, shameless animals.." you mutter as a one by one, the men to cat-girls, dog-girls, harpies, pixies, dryads, holstaurus, lamias, and all manner of other creatures while the women nearby experience a sudden expansion of their curves. Panic spreads through the crowd, but you are quick to silence it. A second burst of magic and they are calm, subdued, enthralled.

Mr. Gulcano comes stumbling through the crowd to see what has happened, only to find you standing amid a circle of confused, though calm, girls. You don't bother to listen to what he says, instead getting an idea. You will retire to his manor, where you can relax without any men around to tempt your dark desires. Gulcano continues to protest, but you interrupt him. His sizable bulk redistributes across his body, making for a rather splendid cow-girl. You gives one of her enormous breasts an appraising squeeze and tell her, "Let's go home.."

With your new thralls in tow, you begin your march through the city. Anyone who blocks your path for more than a moment is converted into a thrall without a second thought. Girls of every conceivable species, size, form, and color populate your thrall herd by the time you reach the gates of Gulcano's Manor.

You are fatigued, exhausted, and running low on magic by this point. You retire to the master bedroom, taking much of your new harem along. There is confusion amongst the maids, but there are too many people for them to stop. You treat yourself to a much deserved nap with several of your new girls on your arm. You recognize one, from outside the vision, as Danny. The others are a luscious Tau girl and the enormous Cowgirl you'd made out of Mr. Gulcano.

By the time you awaken, your senses have returned. You feel some relief, having woken up from a terrible nightmare, only to open your eyes fully and find that everything you thought you dreamed had actually happened. Dozens of strange and exotic girls of all kinds gathered around and on the bed where you lay. Some still utterly enthralled, while others are starting to come out of it, looking around in confusion and fear..

The hiveminds love them Monster Girls.
>>
>>21838154

I have trouble seeing the wizards as wanting to turn all men into monstergirls.

I figured the monstergirl transformation thing was a combination of Lucille's hatred toward all men and someone else's fetish interacting in a weird way.
>>
Well, now I wish we had failed that roll. I probably would be laughing until now.

The doors of the bedroom fly open and you see Millia and your parents there, staring aghast in terror. Behind them, a wall of mist follows, pouring into the room and obscuring your vision. When it clears, you are sitting in Yurara's Den again and you have broken into a cold sweat.

"T-that's what could have happened if I gave in that one time..?" Yurara nods, "It is.. Although it is what could have happened if everything lined up perfectly. It is possible you could have broken free at some point during that, but you were sitting in the middle of a perfect storm. So many different variables, all capable of exacerbating the situation into greater and more terrible heights."

You slump back into the cushions and catch your breath. "What about the Monster girls? I think I understand why they transformed into girls, but the monstrous part is confusing.." Yurara ponders your question for a short while, "It could be you. It could be Lucile. It could be some haywire interference from the Dress itself." you sigh and rub your temple. You don't want to consider that, on top of every other problem you have, that you might secretly want to make monsters out of everyone around you.

"Would you like to see the others? Or have you seen enough already?"

You sit yourself up and find a comfortable spot again. Monstergirl harem aside, that first vision of a darker path taught you a few very important lessons. Firstly, if you fail when it really counts, Lucile can get full control over you, but even when she does, she is still slave to the dress. Secondly, you hold enough magic to transform dozens of people, which means burning enough of it off to de-claw the dress is going to be tricky. Lastly, no matter how much control the dress gets on you, it will eventually relinquish it. This is somewhat comforting knowing that you can't run the risk of being permanently used like a meat-puppet.

You point to the second bubble with the image of the church, "I'd like to continue. I think I'm starting to understand the point of this.. It's more frightening than I had anticipated, but I've already learned some valuable information." Yurara nods, sending the bubble your way, "Seeing your own life brought to ruins is not a sight that many can stomach."

As before, the bubble pops and unravels a dream-like memory and experience before you.

You find yourself standing before what you believe to be a church, although the details as hazy. The only thing you can really make out clearly are yourself and your party. "Unlike the first vision, you have no experienced this one personally. Your memories cannot fill in all the blanks just yet. I apologize, but it is the way that the process is."

As you begin to move into the church, you find yourself simultaneously living and viewing everything as it happens. You find yourself talking to someone. A priest or a cleric. You aren't sure. You cannot make out their face. You explain to them, with only minor omissions, that you are haunted by a lingering Soul, and that you need to exorcise them..

Without delay, the priest begins a ritual for you, their staff waving about as words of a language you cannot understand are chanted with force and conviction. You feel something inside you tremble. The ritual is beginning to frighten you, but you grit your teeth and allow them to continue..

Then something comes loose.

You feel as if you've been knocked off your feet but you can clearly see your own body still standing there, arms held open as the Priest continues their chant. A single ethereal trail connects you to your body. You feel a set of hands on your shoulder and look over to see Lucile drifting beside you. Her face twists into a wicked smile and she shoves you aside and lunges at your body.

She vanishes into your physical self while you are left utterly helpless and forced to watch. Your body starts to move without you. It looks at its hands and fells across itself. That same twisted smile crosses your lips. It looks so surreal to see your own face make an expression like that.

"Without taking the time to negotiate with Lucile and learning of the deeper problems that come with the dress, you were still an adversary and an obstacle for her. The unusual circumstances of your relationship gave her the chance to claim your body as her own.."

Lucile, in your body, grimaces and grips her head. It must be the dress, you think.. Since she's still wearing it, she's still controlled by it.

Lucile's hand shoot behind her, groping wildly. She finds what she is looking for as her hand meets the ethereal line that still connects you to your body.

"Without another soul to occupy her spot, she would have been back where she started. Unfortunately, she had you there to take her place."

Lucile gives a sharp tug and you feel your disembodied self rushing towards her. You do not reenter your body, though. You find yourself being shoved.. somewhere. It's like she had opened some chamber within the magical tangle of the dress and forced your soul into it. You could immediately feel the true force of the dress constricting around you, like searing chains. Your senses dull..

When you come around again everything feels wrong. You can't feel your limbs, you can't even move. The only thing you can feel is.. The dress. Fabric and lace and frills and thread, wrapped snugly around what used to be your body. You are now every bit of clothing that you were wearing just moments ago, down to the stockings and lingerie, and even the heels which she strides so confidently in.

Wait.. She's moving? You can definitely tell she's moving. The way her legs brush together, the swish of the floor-length dress. There's no other way. You have to struggle to open your eyes, fumbling and squirming to figure out how this works. It takes what feels like an eternity, but you finally open your eyes, finding yourself viewing from a third-person perspective. You have to will your senses to move, but you are able to view Lucile in your body from outside it.

Your Mother and Millia are questioning her, the priest is shouting something, but she keeps walking. THAT'S NOT ME! IT'S THE DRESS! Oh, be quiet...

Lucile traipses down the church steps with ease. She's looking for something and she finds it quickly. Approaching the church, you can see your Father and Jultun. They wave happily as you approach and start asking questions. Upon seeing you, Jultun gives you, or rather, Lucile, that unusual looking. She grins wickedly at the young man.

-Bow for him so he can see your cleavage-Offer him tea-See if he's tense-Is the bed ready-Would he like to try a different position today-Did you already clean yourself up for him-Does he know the safe word-Are we built to his liking-
Your mind is wracked by compulsions and try as you might, you can't act on any of them. You flail internally, trying to do something as you are bombarded by desires you can't and don't want to fulfill. LET ME OUT!! I'm tied of listening to you already...

Lucile moves closer to Jultun and raises a hand to him. You can feel her magic moving through your body. You want to stop it but you can't.

You're not my problem anymore.

In a single motion she shoves Jultun off his feet by his head. His clothes vanish from his body, quickly replaced by the dress, while Lucile, in your body, now stands in his clothes. She cinches the belt tightly around her waist and adjust the shirt it obscures her breasts, and smiles proudly. You can feel yourself shrinking and changing around Jultun's lanky form, which is also changing, shrinking drastically and swelling to fill out the dress.

Lucile gives your polearm a twirl and throws it into the air, leaping up to take a seat on it and ride it away, as if it were some witch's broom.

"The tale from here is an unfortunate one.."
The mists encroach on your senses, obscuring this terrifying vision.
"Jultun did not have the willpower to endure the troubles the dress would force upon the both of you. It would be days before the two of you would be able to properly communicate, and by then, Lucile and your body would be long gone. You would eventually be able to communicate what had happened, but without Lucile's magic, there was little that you could do."

You the mist finally cleared this time, you were in tears. You had never felt such unbelievable terror in your life. Nothing can even come close. You curl up, gasp short breaths in between heavy trembling sobs. You jump back and scream when you feel a hand touch your shoulder. It's just Millia... You throw your arms around you and clench as tight as you can.

You cry into her shoulder until the tears stop flowing. Yurara offers a handkerchief, which you gladly accept, drying your eyes. For the time being, you sit quietly, curled against Millia, trying to slowly recover from such an intense mental trauma.

Boy, that got dark, didn't it!

I had the idea for this scene last night, but I must admit, I scared myself with how this came out. Not entirely my proverbial cup of kinky tea, but still, felt like something that I wanted to add in.

Because this is such a light hearted and oftentimes silly quest, moments like this are especially strong.

I'm going to take a little break and we'll see if we can't squeeze in one more before I need to run.

>>21839398
That... was horrible.

But we have to see the rest. What would have happened at the portrait, and at the Den. We've gotten this far because we have the strength of will to push forward to what we truly want, to relentlessly stand against urges... and while the urge to break down and cry or to run away from these horrible visions might not be as unnatural as the pervy stuff from the dress, it's just as much in our way.

We need this information, so that we will always know what awaits us if we falter or fail.

You take a while to calm yourself down. The idea of losing control of your body if scary enough, but.. To be nothing but clothes, trapped on the body of some innocent victim.. You need time to get over that. "Gods, Lucile.. I'm so sorry..." Don't be, sweetheart...

You don't really want to think about it, but Yurara was showing you these visions for a reason. Well, there's the fact that Lucile could possibly be given full control of your body, under the right circumstances. If she needs a clear mind to use her magic and break the curse of the dress, there is that. There's also the idea that someone else could be entrapped in the dress. Clearly, no one deserves such a punishment, but if there were such an opportunity....

Other than that, there's the knowledge that there is some way to get out of the dress, but it requires you to switch it onto someone else. Also, the idea to use your halberd as a flying broom, which you had considered before, but you figured it had to be, well, a broom..

Things to keep in mind, you suppose.

"That just leaves the 'what ifs' for your Den.." Your face is puffy and your throat hurts, but you feel like you should just bite the bullet at this point. "But, before that, there is one other thing.. Would it be possible to see what might have happened this morning? When my Father was painting for us, I nearly lost control. Part of me wants to know about the possibilities there as well."

Yurara nods and produces a fourth bubble. "Which would you like to see first?"

"What could have happened during the painting, especially considering what I've already seen from my possible futures, bothers me the most right now." Yurara nods and gently bumps the little bubble in your direction. It pops in front of your face and releases it's mist, bringing you to several hours prior.

You find yourself sitting on the roof again, facing the your Father as he prepares his canvas. You settle in, relaxing and enjoying the fine morning. The feeling of de ja vu is strong, but you go through the motions regardless. You don't think you'd be able to change how thing played out if you wanted to.

This painting is going to be far too boring! You need to spice it up. It needs something.. Extra.
You feel the magic from the dress well up inside you...

Exactly as before. You even do the same mental preparation as before, trying to steady your nerves and force it back.. But you falter and don't recover. Once more, the Dress and Lucile are in control. You wonder if it's possible to become desensitized to the panic and terror that fills you as she begins weaving her magic. It's only you and your parents up here.. Why did you want to see them suffer? This is already feeling like a bad idea.

Your parents have noticed at this point. Your posture and your expression have changed and magic is crackling around your fingertips. "Roger..? Are you okay?"
>>

I'm not sure if this isn't just a step or two too far.

So far, this quest has had a really good of narrative and erotic elements. If something sexy happens, there's generally an associated meaning and consequence. This was one of the flaws with the first try at fade to black 2. It had fetishism without the meaning.

An incest threesome is kinky, but what does it say? What does it mean? Not much, and nothing interesting. We can do better.

Sometimes, when you're young, you wonder about the sort of things you'll do when you're older. Maybe you'll be a doctor! Maybe you'll go into space. Maybe you'll be a SPACE DOCTOR! You'll do cool, adult things, and everything you say will be suave and awesome and the wisdom will just drip from your lips.

And then years down the road you find yourself typing something like this, and occasionally you stop to realize that you never saw this coming.

An idea for a slightly more twisted view on things.

The dress wants Rogers parents out of the way. They support him and help him resist. But just attacking them could make him resist harder. Instead, it needs to undermine them... To give them what they want. Or at least, what they'd want from the dresses point of view.

They are in love, but its likely the dress doesn't really understand the notion. It does, however, understand sex. Empty, heartless sex, devoid of intimacy or any emotion other than lust, desire and servility.

We could find ourselves in the position of the painter, as our parents lost themselves in one another. Forced to watch and paint, layer after layer, scene after pose after position, the magic of the spell building and building until we fall back, and look at what we've created.

They aren't really our parents anymore. They're too perfect, warped by the artists eye and brush. A pair of beautiful but somehow unreal figures, caught in one anothers arms, faces trapped in expressions of lust... But eyes devoid of all true emotion.

Perhaps they'll come free, eventually. Perhaps they'll even return to their normal selves. But we can't know. And those thoughts would terrify us. Shake us. Break us. And let the dress take more and more of our will and resistance away.

Combine with the idea above. We polymorph self into mother, and mother into our shape. Our consciousness will be the painter.

That's horrifying. I love it.

The Dress wants the painting to be interesting, first and foremost. Admittedly, that'd make it interesting, but it wouldn't be the same painting.

The concept of "forcibly twist a sweet family bonding moment into a fetishized mockery of its former self that involves actions all participants would find morally abhorrent were they not under mind control" is not exactly empty kink devoid of meaning. It's emotionally horrific, and does it without being as heavy-handed as >>21840901.

You want something kinky and uninteresting, look no further than "polymorph and mind control some people on the street, then have an orgy". That's just a flashy abuse of power with no personal involvement or consequence; the whole reason we are seeing the painting scene is because of the potential to harm or subvert our emotional connection with our parents.

And for that reason, I'd say >>21840544 is exactly what we're looking for. It's only worse if instead of being trapped in a painting or something, when it's done they're left as their normal selves but send Dorothy on her way with a passionate kiss and a wave.

It still strikes me as a cop out on the same level as 'And then they all fucked'.

Something more inventive would be better.
